i was chatting about this with my dad earlier but I've noticed that pretty much all of my favorite actors fall somewhere on the Venn diagram of "is a nerd in real life (obviously I gravitate to superhero and horror nerds since I am one, but anyone who's unabashedly passionate about their hobbies will do)" and "always commits to the bit 100%, understands their characters and is not afraid to get weird"

honestly one of the reasons i really like the way it harps on the contrast between what she wants to be and what she is. i do think there's something that would be lost if she looked exactly like what you would imagine a large warrior who would rock your shit looks like. but instead its the 'unassuming small thing that will hand your ass back to you' trope, except like. actually good and doesn't make me wanna throw up

but also- something i don't see as a small person trope (a niche that i didnt even KNOW i needed) is just how much of an absolute tank wigfrid is. and i think that says more about her if she was small the way she is. this little fucking... thing that won't- no matter how lethally you wound her- stay down. it's not because of raw size- or even raw strength that keeps her fighting until you snuff her out- but sheer force of will. that's fucking scary. and epic also 🤓

Whats it like being an average jervis tech enjoyer?

You know that thing in video games where you enter a heavily booby-trapped dungeon, but you keep going because it's also full of insane loot and the risk is worth the reward? It's kind of like that.

A few bad portrayals and even the ones you like might have some unnecessary ick tacked on. A lot of character hate in certain fandom spaces(reddit). But then you kind of just learn how to navigate it, what to take/leave, and you find Your People and Your Content and maybe even gain a few levels in the process(too sappy?).
