Aaa... it's been a while since I talked about The Messenger.... this funny little comic I was working on...

For those curious, I'll have something written up tomorrow about what's up and my finalized plans for it :") I hope you'll like the direction I take.

Alright I'm going feral but let me explain when cannon era Javid hits, you gotta write about it

David dressing Jacks wounds and him pulling back and sucking in a breath, "Jackie you need to hold still."

"It hurts when you do that Dave."

"Well, I gotta clean it, Jack."

Jack rolls his eyes but lets David clean the wound. Jack lets his mind race with feelings as he feels bad for making David worry about him. "I'm sorry." He says quietly

David looks up at him, "Don't be sorry."

"But I can't keep you worrying over me." He bites his lip

"Jack I will never stop worrying about you!" David holds his hand in his "

No you can't David, I'm not perfect and I can't give you anything back and-"

"Jack stop it! Don't say that about yourself, I don't care that you can't give anything back and I don't care if you're not perfect neither am I or even my parents, I love you, Jack, you gotta know that."

Jack's eyes glisten, "Are you sure?"

David locks eyes with his,"More than sure Jackie, I love you not matter what."

"I love you too," Jack whispers and feels a tear go down his cheek.

David kissed him gently and continued with dressing his wounds. After finishing and putting supplies away David leads Jack to bed and wraps him into a hug while saying "I love you". Jack looks up at him one more time and, "I love you too. Thank you."

"Of course Jackie, anytime."

GOD I love starkid so much they saw that idea of ‘hey musicals are kind of a strange scenario if you think about it. If people just broke out in song I’d be pretty weirder out’ and they fucking ran with that and now it’s evolved into an entire universe where the whole point is that the characters are fucked up and their world is fucked up and they all need to be traumatized in a different way every time we see them. and that’s exactly why I love starkid and their hatchetfield stories

i know we were all wondering if rayla was going to drop the coins into water by accident in book 5: ocean but given that 6x03 is "the frozen ship" and they're traversing through both cold and icy waters... rayla please hold onto those coins and do not almost drown getting them back

Jones was made an example of. A surface prison would not be enough--a multiple decade sentence in New Newgate would make the message clear: sedition would not be tolerated.

The light had long gone out of him by the time he'd received the visitor--a man who had, at the very least, seemed to know his file well, and came armed with a proposition: Wouldn't he like to be free? He could walk out of this cell within the week, return to a normal life, all for the small price of stepping onto the Chessboard. The work would suit him, after all.

Jones couldn't give two shits about the work. The embers that had burned in his heart for political change had long since been snuffed out. But had the devil himself opened the door and offered him a job he would be on the first train to Hell.

He accepts.

I had this sitting in my drafts for a while because while carving linocuts the other day I ended up mentally writing out an entire ficlet of their actual conversation, then of course instantly forgetting all of it before I could get to a computer.

hello im thinking about owl song again. the main thoughts ping-ponging around my brain are dick, not truly believing it's jason (because if he does he has to face what jason has become), jason, blaming dick for his death (maybe if you'd just picked up the phone, dickiebird (maybe he even changes the voicemail because he's seen all those missed calls)), and talia, who changes tactics from "you remain unavenged" to "too little, too late" (sure, dick murdered the joker, but why didn't anyone do that before it got this bad? why did it take jason to finally put him down? were none of the other children he's murdered over the years enough incentive?)

should I talk abt my third (fourth? yeah that sounds more right) most developed story. It's a hero x villain dynamic but the villain actually kills the hero so he wins(?)(hence the title — “I Win”)

damian would NEVER tell his big brothers, but he loves it when they pick him up from school.

though damian isn't well-liked, and is a prime target for bullying, everyone knows about the other wayne boys, respectable yet highly intimidating.

so when one of the other batboys shows up to take him home, damian knows that all his onlooking tormentors shake in their boots for a split second, realising that their "what are you going to do?? tell your brothers??" probably wasn't the best taunt to use against him.
