I've never understood what people meant when they said "I feel empty"... well, that's not entirely true. I had some semblance of an idea, but I guess I didn't realize just how jarring that feeling could be.

I feel like a shell of a person - like I've outworn my body and a thread came loose. I feel like someone, or something pulled the thread to snap it off, but the fabric snagged and now I am rapidly deteriorating. I feel tired, slow, old, and sad. Though, I am mostly tired, I think. I am tired of being tired.

That reminds me of another phrase people often say, that they're "sick and tired". I think now, I know the full meaning of these words.

I am unequivocally sick, both physically and mentally. I feel (this maybe quite sad), irrevocably tired. I am even tired of lamenting my lost vigor and energy. I feel a constant weight that is compounded by the admission that I am unwell. What is worst... I feel very alone.

I feel completely unacknowledged, unseen and it is hell. But it is also hell to seek acknowledgement. I cannot feel validation without also feeling shame. And I will contradict myself - I will try to pretend shame does not live here because being seen, being acknowledged might keep me alive.

Call me old fashioned but I still believe #AWOMANSDECISION is a woman's decision. I mean, how can the same idiots that oppose #affordablehealthcare impose a bill in the best interest of women? Are we supposed to forget Georgia has the highest maternal mortality rates in the United States? I mean, how could the same state that put #educators in prison possibly care about fetal life? When are we gonna talk about juveniles being sentenced as adults in this state? Don't worry we'll #ReclaimGeorgia by electing delegates that actually confer with the constituent body. Question: How do you suppose we #endrapeculture while #legislation is being forced to take hold of #awomansbody? I don't understand why the State of Georgia wants control of a woman's body... Does anyone else see #theelephantintheroom? Can't you see, they're stripping "the rights" right off of women? How long must ye pretend to turn a blind eye?! How'd we let these weak men legislate rape? Why isn't the #LIFEact considered as a form of forcible rape? june 15th

I lied in bed most of the day. I did not sleep well last night, I spent maybe 2-3 hours half asleep and another 2 shivering. But I didn't beg my partner for body warmth or ask for them to share the duvet. I just... lied there.

Eventually, they woke up and touched my face. They asked me if I was okay. I mumbled in response. I have tried to assure them I am fine throughout the day, but it's an obvious fib.

I had a sip of tea, then tried to immerse myself in some type of TV, but my thoughts remained settled on what I said to my partner and admitted to myself: I would rather be a headstone, or a tree. To be here in memory or spirit, but this human body is too much work.

I decided to touch myself. Not out of arousal, but because there is a good chance that I will fall quickly fall asleep after and dreams are a much kinder environment.
