Reference to my Avatar!Grace Lives AU and they're talking about the probability of Grace being pregnant without a baby daddy:
Norm: What if it was Eywa? What if she did more than just save your life by transferring you into your avatar? Jake: Are you trying to say that Grace is the next Virgin Mary? Grace: Grace: Neytiri, your child is about to be fatherless.

Idk if you’ve answered something like this before but how does Grace fit into your modern AU?
I am so glad you asked, anon, I am excited people care about this au. Lol, I have a meme post in the works about this concept, which is that in every Avatar au no matter how many characters you decide lived, Grace has always gotta die so that Kiri can be a Sully. Oops lol.
I have vaguely touched on it, but I will expand even more lol.
-Norm, Tommy, and Jake were all in foster care together. Norm and Tommy clicked immediately, bonding over science and creativity, wanting to understand how every single thing worked. Jake just kind of fits, because he fits anywhere Tommy fits, and after a few years, he fits wherever Norm fits too. Jake calls himself dumb and a jock, but he is an excellent student. He can learn anything he puts his mind to, and Norm and Tommy know that. He just isn't interested in what they are, so sometimes he makes them play football or play video games. Norm and Jake are both deeply into movies and pop culture, while Tommy can't sit through a movie to save his life. They just all go together.
-Grace loves kids even though she hates wasting time. She thinks kids are smarter than adults a lot of the time, they ask questions regardless of how it'll make them look and actually state their intentions. They bring up points of view she hadn't thought of. So, even though she's been on tenure at the college she does research at for years, when she's on campus with her research students she holds a little week long summer camp for kids interested in science. Jake goes where Norm and Tommy go, and when they are thirteen they start attending.
-Norm and Tommy glue themselves to Grace from day one and she quickly learns the three are orphans and lowkey adopts them by the end of the week. She gives them her number and tells them they are welcome any time because they are so good at botany. They take this offer up all the fucking time. Jake is their little science bitch boy, just showing up and being asked to move a million different things. He knows so many science words he wishes he didn't. He likes visiting Grace though, because she always keeps a couch free for him to nap on.
-Norm and Tommy basically apprentice for Grace from thirteen on, Max calls them Pain and Panic, because they are like her little henchmen and because when they get stressed Tommy bangs his hand on a table and then always yells ow and Norm starts chewing off all his fingernails and freaking out.
-As soon as they graduate and get their degrees they go on research trip after research trip with her. One time during grad school a student who was having a hard time accused Norm of just getting his degree because Grace makes it easy for him and Tommy, and Norm laughed so hard he cried, because Grace is convinced that they learned the basics in middle school and makes their work harder.
-Norm gets into fostering because he wants to make life easier for the kids in the system like him and Tommy and Jake, and he knows how important the stable people like Grace and the twins were. After that he sticks in one place, teaching and going for a medical degree on the side, which is how he ends up volunteering at Mo'at's clinic.
-Tommy sticks with Grace, and that is why he is away on a research trip with her for four years in the jungle when Jake is paralyzed. This particular trip was the first Tommy's running and directing himself. This is why in my other post I mentioned Norm continuously threatening to tell Tommy what happened, because Jake didn't want to ruin his life's work because he knows Tommy would fly back right away. At first he was also totally embarrassed about what happened, sadly. Where I last left the au with the jeytiri post though, paralyzed, married, and now with a child on the way, now he's just too far deep in the hole.
-I think Tommy finds out, probably from Mo'at who got bored and decided to stir some shit up and tell Grace. Tommy's rage can be felt across oceans as he flies back instantly and leaves Grace to finish up the end of the trip. It's at the end of that trip that she dies, right after surprise Kiri is born and left in the custody of Jake and Neytiri. Grace had seen both of them grow up separately, and knows they are starting a family. What's one more kid?

So, in a situation in which both Spider and Kiri have been captured by the RDA and Quaritch proposes to use them both as guides in their search for Jake, how long do you think it would take for either him or someone else in the recom team to realize she is Grace's daughter, I don't think neither of them would say it willingly, specially if they know that Quaritch was the reason she died.
How do you think he would feel about it, specially seeing how close she and Spider are when they hated each other's guts when she was alive / he was still a human.
I think in a way, quaritch would realize it first even he didn't know it. he knows that face, that wit, that sharp tongue; kiri is so much like grace he would be put off by her in a way he didn't understand.
its the necklace that makes that makes him truly realize who the girl is. its the same ratty thing that grace had gotten from a group of na'vi kids all those years ago. now this kid who is worming her way into his skull and making him rethink everything he has ever and will ever know, is wearing it, and he hated how it all made sense. though he makes the realization he never tells anyone, though they all sorta 'know' like quaritch had, and she does eventually admit it.
by the time the realization is made and acknowledged, quaritch has had time to reflect and devolve on who he was, who the RDA wants him to be, and who he wants to be. he's becoming enough of his own person to regret what he did to grace, part of him hates it actually. being around her daughter, a daughter he doesn't fully understand how she exists, who never knew her mother because of him, it makes it all so much worse.
he doesn't know how to feel, what he's supposed to feel, what he's allowed to feel. he holds no ill will towards to her or her relationship to spider, but the more he sees of grace within kiri, the harder it is to be around her.
now our intuitive girl sees this, knows she's breaking him, knows he's made the connection as to who her mother is; she uses this. she knows what Eywa wills her to do and does it beautifully. she uses all of this information to the extreme, she plans on breaking every last bit of quaritch the RDA built, and bringing out every ounce of this new na'vi Miles.
this leads to an interesting dynamic, one not unwelcome, but not easy. its a path of change and healing, acknowledging things that may have been better left buried, its not fun by any right.

...hmm...just thinkin' about an Avatar "no angst" AU, y'know, like an AU where the characters who died in the first movie just...didn't? For example...
• Tsu'tey and Sylwanin are both alive and well. They officially tied the knot not long after the point when Sylwanin would've died in canon, and already have a child together by the time Jake arrives on Pandora.
• Eytukan also lives and therefore he and Mo'at are still leading the clan, though of course Tsu'tey and Sylwanin are next in line.
• Because the schoolhouse incident never happened in this AU, Grace was never kicked out of the village; her school is still running and she is on good terms with the Omatikaya.
• The RDA is overall less psychotic than they are in canon, and the Avatar Program has been largely successful in establishing diplomacy with the local clans. There is still some level of tension between the humans and the Na'vi of course, because the humans are ultimately still there to mine unobtainium and the Na'vi would prefer there was no mining at all, but in this AU the RDA is at least principled enough to not do things like bulldoze the Tree of Voices or bomb Hometree etc. (so, Hometree is still standing). Jake was never asked to spy on the Na'vi.
• Grace is actually the one to introduce Jake to Neytiri when she brings Jake and Norm along to the school one day. Neytiri is intrigued by the goofy non-scientist "warrior" dreamwalker and Jake finds himself equally intrigued by her; they begin spending more and more time together, and when Jake expresses curiosity about her way of life Neytiri just naturally kinda takes it upon herself to teach him the ways of the clan.
• Because Neytiri is neither tsakarem nor engaged to Tsu'tey in this AU, her romance with Jake is not quite as ~forbidden~ as it was in canon (and honestly they make zero effort to hide their feelings; the whole clan knows lol). The only remaining barrier is the fact that he's a dreamwalker and how that may affect things.
• Jake and Neytiri fall head over heels for each other about as fast as they do in canon; after three months Jake is already fully convinced that he wants remain with Neytiri and the clan for the rest of his life rather than ever go back to Earth, where there is nothing left for him. Even getting the spinal surgery to fix his legs no longer holds any interest for him, since of course his avatar body can walk just fine.
• By that point Neytiri begs Mo'at and Eytukan to let Jake do the coming-of-age ceremonies and become part of the clan so they can become mates. Mo'at and especially Eytukan are hesitant, but Mo'at consults Eywa and Eywa sends a sign of approval, so they allow it. Jake spends about an extra month preparing more specifically for Iknimaya and Uniltaron, and soon after completing those he and Neytiri actually get to have a proper mating ceremony. Jake does go through the permanent consciousness transfer at some point, though I haven't yet come up with the exact circumstances there...
• The Sully kids get to have more extended family! Grandpa Eytukan, Uncle Tsu'tey, and Aunt Sylwanin are all still around, along with a handful of cousins (Tsu'tey's and Sylwanin's kids).
• Quaritch never shot Grace in this AU, which means she never had to undergo the attempted consciousness transfer, which means Kiri wasn't conceived the way she was in canon. Buuuuuut I still want Kiri as part of the Sully family, so in this AU she is Jake and Neytiri's biological daughter and Neteyam's twin. She doesn't have the special Eywa powers that she has in canon, but does still have a spiritually-minded personality, and is a strong candidate for next tsakarem after Sylwanin. Grace still adores and dotes on her, especially when she shows interest in botany.
• Norm and Trudy are happy in a long-term relationship.
• There was no Battle at the Hallelujah Mountains, therefore Paz didn't die and was still around to raise Spider (undecided on how involved Quaritch was though).
• I like to imagine that in this AU Paz and Trudy are good friends, both being pilots and all. It's through Trudy that Paz and Spider become involved with folks from the Avatar program and Spider meets the Sully kids.
• Because she doesn't have the RDA-related traumas she has in canon, Neytiri is totally chill with Spider in this AU. She is mostly just curiously amused by the strange little human boy running around with his Na'vi friends.
• Spider is semi-trilingual English/Spanish/Na'vi. English is his go-to since everyone he knows can speak it, but he can also do some Spanish (Paz and maybe Trudy's influence) and quite a lot of Na'vi (Omatikaya influence, though Norm was thrilled to help when he caught wind that Spider was interested in learning). Sometimes he (subconsciously) mixes up a combination of any two or even all three and spews out mishmash sentences no one else understands immediately and has to stop and re-word.
• Because Quaritch is not the Big Bad Evil Guy the way he is in canon, Spider isn't really bothered by being called Miles. However, the nickname "Spider" somehow just stuck when he was very young so most people still call him that; it's mostly just Paz (and Quaritch) who call him Miles.
• Jake is not Toruk Makto in this AU, because with the RDA being more cooperative/less aggressive, he never needed to be. He and Neytiri are just normal (albeit well-liked/respected) hunters in the clan. Perhaps eventually a day will come when Toruk Makto is needed and Jake will have some reason to step up...but not yet. He's perfectly content being just a regular clan member.
• This has the side-effect of lessening Neteyam and Lo'ak's dramatic stunts as teenagers, because the legacy they're trying to live up to is simply "strong respectable hunter" rather than "legendary olo'eyktan Toruk Makto"

Divine fire, hellish greed: dark fantasy AU concept
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“ A willful boy with a formidable curse.
A mad king revived in a new form.
What has destiny in plan for each? ”
Lore/context (can be skipped):
In a land of wonders and magic, two races have long since coexisted in its seas, forests and deserts; Humans and the Na’vi. Legends often spoke that Na’vi stemmed from forest spirits, who inhabited Eywa’s embrace in times long forgotten, while humans are said to be descendants of stars hanging over the land.
Some say that when a star falls, a human is born. They are often thereby called “sky-people”, or “people of the stars”.
However, because their origins are not of the land, they never possessed a kuru; a way to bond with their new home. As result, many began forgetting great mother’s teachings, and that lead to the emergence of kingdoms. Na’vi followed suit, but not fully, their towers built of stone found above ground and hugged by sprawling vines, keeping them steady, connected.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Human kingdoms grew higher and higher, pale and perfect in their shape, perhaps to reach the stars they have long ago abandoned, and that brought them at conflict with their home. Digging and mining disrupted a fragile balance, yet kingdoms, one in particular, kept growing amidst the chaos.
Its king, Selfridge, was notorious for his greed, which soon led him to discovering a new, never before seen type of magic. One that could make the grandest of ships fly as if they were lighter than a feather, and create weapons of unthinkable destruction. Life-force magic was capable of performing incredible feats as long as wielded by an experienced sorcerer, but there was no such thing as an infinite resource. Everything, including magic, had to draw from something, and draw it did, from the life of Eywa’eveng herself.
As ships soared, the magic drained energy from land itself, from the tiniest sprout to the strongest pali. Not even the mighty thanator could draw breath once the spell went into effect. It killed all which is in sight to fuel itself.
That is the cost, and majority of humans accepted it. Those who didn’t, migrated to Na’vi kingdoms to live amongst those who shared their reverence for nature.
One of life-force magic creations were avatars. Creatures conjured by trapping stolen energy and giving it shape of its own, allowing an attuned human mind to travel into it while their primary body slept. That way, knight Jake Sully became a spy in the Omatikaya kingdom. However, not long after, he realised the devastating effect of their magic and how it ultimately doomed everyone in Eywa’eveng to annihilation. Running away with other Na’vi sympathisers, he tamed the legendary Toruk, believed by most to be a divine guardian spirit of the great mother embodied by a fire-breathing apex predator, and rallied the clans against a growing empire, which, shortly after Jake’s escape, was overtaken by commander Quaritch in a military coup. The new king was insane, obsessed with power and revenge for Sully’s betrayal, but said madness ultimately lead to his defeat, as princess Neytiri of Omatikaya pierced him with her father’s arrows.
It was a new era of peace, and humans refusing to side with the Na’vi were told to leave Eywa’s lands.
Not everyone had such option though.
Story:
A boy with honey brown eyes and blonde curls was found in the abandoned Hell’s Gate castle after the great battle, allegedly the son of Miles Quaritch himself; and as no one dared to take him in, Mo’at made a decision that the child was to be kept in their kingdom, under Na’vi’s watchful eye.
Years passed and the Sully royal family grew, now having four children of their own! One, an adopted girl birthed by Grace Augustine’s avatar.
The human child meanwhile grew around plethora of workers around the village and was eventually taught the craft of caring for pali, the ikran, and the wild gardens. He grew into a crude, stubborn, but hard-working and gold-hearted stable boy, always eager to help, and spending every minute of his free time around the royal children who took an immense liking to him, and eventually saw him as a brother.
Although Spider, as he was now called for his affinity to climbing, never experienced parental love, he tried not dwelling on his circumstances and keep his head high…but it was never that simple.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As humans of the destroyed kingdom began returning, trying to rebuild as early as when Spider Socorro turned ten, a wild Toruk has been sighted in the fringes of Omatikaya territory. In the span of five years, said Toruk became a looming threat, as he was vicious and terrorised villages with a fury never before seen. Many whispered that it was the great mother’s wrath from seeing malicious sky people return to her lands.
In one of those attacks, at night, innocent farmers lost their lives to the fire-breathing dragon, and as princess Kiri ran to the stables the next morning to share tragic news with her brother…there was not a trace of him.
In fact, there was no trace of Spider in the entire castle. He vanished.
.
Meanwhile, the mad king has been revived, brought to life using previously discovered magic, and together with his most loyal undead men and women, whom he deemed jackals, got a task of upmost importance from the new queen herself; Francis Ardmore. She was a regal one, standing tall and proud despite her small height in comparison to the old ruiler, and promised him a high rank in the court if he does as told and stays loyal.
“I’m asking this because I don’t wish to offend you by underestimating your abilities…why do you trust me not to overthrow you the first chance I get, to take what is rightfully mine?”
“Because the cavern between the Na’vi and humans has never been wider, all thanks to what you’ve done to the Omatikaya kingdom, commander. Whatever influence you have left exist under my rule. If you want a chance at power again, a chance at trust from these people, you’ll need me.”
And so, with the promise of reward dangling over his head, Quaritch and his jackals set out on a journey towards the kingdom of ash to which only he knew the route, said to be inhabiting the most capable mages to have ever walked Eywa’eveng. The new empire will need a good alliance to thrive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Barely a week into their journey, the squad got their hands on a curious catch. A boy with a mane of golden curls who snuck into their camp at night to steal some much needed food. Too bad that Zdinarsk had gotten the gift of foresight with her revival.
“And who might you be, little one?” Quaritch asked with a smirk.
“Spider…S-Socorro…” The teen responded, shaking, but determined.
The smirk slid off of king’s face. He couldn’t help but introduce himself, and inquired as to what an heir of his had forgotten in dangerous forest depths.
“I’m sick. I’m looking for a cure. Was told that there were mages in the south who knew a remedy to anything.” He mumbled.
“Well isn’t that a lucky coincidence? I think I know who you’re looking for. It’s the ash kingdom court mages, no?”
Spider gasped.
“I know my way to them.” He got down on one knee. “And I can lead you there, boy, but not without payback. Say, that jewellery on your neck is awfully familiar. You Omatikaya?”
The boy kept silent.
“I reckon you are, so how about this…” He smiled again. “You lead us to the mountain dragons; the banshee your people tame, and we give you a ride all the way to the mages.”
Spider had no choice as the king would never willingly let go of his newfound heir, but Miles wanted to present him with an illusion that would keep him docile.
“…alright.”
.
And so they travelled for what was undoubtedly the longest week of Spider’s life. The mad king he’s been told of, who ravaged the lands that were home to him, now walked side by side with the boy as if nothing happened. It angered him, how there seemed to have been no remorse on his end, and Socorro hated being angry. It made his chest burn.
Quaritch was not blind to the hate of course, but it was worth it. He never thought he’d have the boy with him again, and yet there he was; grown, sassy, bold, and with a smile so bright it could cure death itself.
Perhaps this journey was not for nothing after all.
.
Barely a second week in, the dam had burst. A minor inconvenience between father and son erupted into a loud argument over history, morals and convictions. Quaritch should have expected it. Should have known that a child of his, abandoned by their father, would bear a painful grudge. That the wound was deeper that the blonde originally let on with his constant quips, but he never could have expected what came after.
“I HATE you! YOU’RE A MONSTER!“ The boy roared, and jackals stepped away in growing caution, noticing as something in his chest glowed through the tunic.
The roars turned animalistic, agonising, feral. Noises neither a human nor Na’vi could muster.
Spider clawed at the ground as his own fury at Quaritch, at the recoms, at the humans, consumed him. Transformed him in a bright flash of fire.
“…kid..?..”
But there was no child at the clearing.
Only the Toruk; fire-breathing king of skies.
Wrath of Eywa personified.

Part 2 of IF PAZ LIVED AU
Reuniting with the Recoms and Quaritch
Paz went with the kids to the old shack and Tuk didn't come because she was a little sick
Paz had Lo'ak tell Jake when the saw them, dispite not liking him
When they got captured, well the recoms tried to capture them, Paz pulled her pistol and nearly hit Lopez but narrowly missed, Lo'ak and spider did the same
Lopez, Walker, and Mansk had to hold Paz,so she didn't kill the other's,whom she was cussing at in Spanish, yelling at them to take their Fucking hands off her kids
She didn't recognize anyone at first until Quaritch laid eyes on her
"....Paz...is that you,Sugar" Quaritch asked in a surprisingly soft, disbelieving tone
She just stared at him,her brain slowly making out the features, till she heard him,the others had let her go
"Miles.. is.. w-wha-How..." She asked, slowly getting more pissed
"yeah in the flesh-well.. sort of" smiling slightly, when he leaned down to her height.
"HOW" was all she said to him,the other's had let go of the kids, who were watching with upset and worried expressions
The recoms were watching, amused and waiting to see the fiesty,spit-fire attituded Latina's reaction.
Quaritch closed his eyes and sighed slightly "Project Phoenix,we had... Avatar bodies uploaded with.. our memories... just in case-like backup bodies" he muttered knowing she was pissed
Finally it hit her full force, she punched him in the chest full force, rage fueling it as well.
She started screaming at him and calling him the worst Spanish and English insults she could come up with.
Asking why he hadn't told her,how bad it had been to raise their baby thinking he would never see his daddy again, how she couldn't sleep worth a shit for the first year because the bed was lonely.
The kids slunk back except spider who piped up "Mami... What going on.."
She calmed down enough to tell Spider about Quaritch but since the kids were back in recom hold, well sort of,they didn't call it in or cuff the kids.
Quaritch quietly asked once everything was settled, the kids sitting and talking to the recoms,Lyle getting the video off the flashdrive now "The other 2... They aren't yours like Miles is? Right"
Paz told him that Lo'ak was biologically Jake and Neytiri's and Kiri was Grace's daughter, they were only her's sort of by choice.
In the end the fight did happen but quaritch got Paz and Spider behind him and they were taken "Prisoner"
Quaritch had threatened Ardmore when she suggested torturing his woman and son
She backed off, only assuming he would use the personal angle,he wasn't he just wasn't letting the bitch hurt them when he just got them back.
Spider got to sleep on the couch in the recoms apartment like area,Paz let Quaritch believe she was sleeping on the couch too, till and hour after they all went to sleep
She went to Quaritch's room and crawled in Bed with him and snuggled up to his chest,he had smirked and teased her a little before snuggling against her, now, muh smaller body.
Paz and Spider always teased the recoms as the moved through the forest to the Banshee mountain
Spider got scared by a scary story Lyle told and asked to sleep with Quaritch and Paz that night
He slept curled up to Paz's chest and his back against Quaritch who's tail was limply laid over them as well as his arm
After they got their Banshee's Paz rode with Quaritch,Spider with Aunt Z-Dog.
Will have to make a part 2 to this very sorry it is so short but will finish and work more on other stories

I love the idea of Kya as the Avatar! I was thinking that with Aang's life force not being drained by the iceberg he would live slightly longer, making Yue the Avatar. At first she would be embrace her newfound power and freedom, getting away from Hahn, starting a relationship with Sokka, but eventually she would abandon both to commit herself to her Avatar duties. Also, would Aang have really made the Fire Nation a republic? Wouldn't Treaty of Versailes but same government be more likely?
okay first of all obligatory apology for turning your thoughtful question about geopolitical worldbuilding into a tormented freak polycule romcom. i didn’t really plan out what i was gonna write in advance and the rest of that ask just kind of got away from me.
truthfully, the reason i made kya the avatar was simply because i couldn’t decide whether i wanted to make katara or sokka the avatar (for the purposes of this post. avatar sokka is far more narratively interesting though in general) and since i just talked about avatar yue and came to the conclusion that it’s fine but kind of meh, that was also off the table. plus i really do think they would be from the southern water tribe it just makes more narrative sense.
also i don’t actually think that yue would abandon sokka to commit to her avatar duties because i think sokka would do the same thing as he does with aang and sort of become yue’s proxy. like aang, yue has dual duties to her culture and to the world, and like aang, yue trusts everything sokka says implicitly because she thinks he’s the smartest person ever (which poses the problem: if yue is just like aang but with lesser stakes, then wherein lies the narrative significance of this AU? same goes for avatar katara, quite frankly). so sokka would really be yue’s right hand arm man (silly rabbit) and if anything their close relationship as colleagues would be what complicates their relationship as lovers. but i digress.
the reason i kind of just handwaved aang making the fire nation a republic was because i realized that if ozai was the primary antagonist of this narrative, i would never get to write the more comedic elements of that post. but yeah i was also kind of going for treaty of versailles vibes with ozai’s humiliation. except kya is clearly just so good at her job that all his attempts to stage a coup or even run for office are simply gracefully prevented by her watchful eye and diplomatic grace. since kya basically has no established traits besides 1) being katara’s favorite person in the world 2) looking uncannily like sokka 3) being incredibly brave and selfless to protect her daughter, i figured why not just make her perfect. hakoda would be perfect if not for the [insert Fanon chapter here], so kya would clearly be perfect too. hence ozai’s dreams of becoming fire chancellor being continually thwarted.

Tumblr media
Completed Novel-length AU with original plot - Set 7 years after TWoW.
Summary Snippet: Ria’s gaze finally paused at his handsome face, almost a replica of his father's if not for the eyes and chin of his mother. Good God, he had grown… She remembered his striking face from years ago in a time of battle at sea, it had been softer with youth then. He had barely been taller than her. Now, he towered over her...
Neteyam lifted his eyes to hers; green-gold clashing with striking violet. Yes, he remembered those eyes... Even the years that had passed in-between them had not made him forget.
He lowered his face, his lips curling in a snarl, “I should kill you.” The English words were stilted as he spoke, “But I will not. A life for a life.”
Tumblr media
Read now on AO3 - VIOLET EYES Also on Wattpad HERE Content: Mature themes, sexual content/smut, civil war, death, spiritual themes. Word count: 20 chapters (152k words) Pairings: Neteyam x fem!Avatar OC Jake x Neytiri Spider x fem!Omatikaya OC Lo'ak x Tsireya

Then there's the demon girl, left alive despite all odds, with eyes of violet like paysyul lilies... And the matter of a prophesied child to come; the peace-marker... The Great Mother's patience is running out. When she speaks, who will heed her call?...
Tumblr media
Five fingers and five toes… the cry of a newborn babe… Conceived in darkness secret by the grace of Eywa… first of its epoch… Born of demon and Na’vi… The peace-marker to come, the dawn of the eternal peacetime age…
Author's Note: This story is my greatest & proudest accomplishment EVER. 😊
I can't describe to you how this narrative absolutely consumed my mind and soul after watching TWoW on Boxing Day last year.
Neteyam's death struck a very sore chord in me and I couldn't let him go. I wanted him to grow up, find love and live the life that he deserved so much. VIOLET EYES was born out of my endeavour to realistically explore what Neteyam's future (and the Sullys' too) could have been, along with a whole lot of ANGST, DRAMA & ROMANCE thrown in and set within an in-depth, completely original narrative.
I'm so happy to have very recently found this wonderful community on Tumblr. Everyone has been so warm & incredibly passionate in this fandom! I'm stoked to be able to share my writing with you all now. My Tumblr masterlist is HERE with my other Avatar works. But VIOLET EYES holds, and will always hold, a most special place in my heart. I thank you in advance if you are intrigued enough to give it a try and I hope that you will love it and FEEL it like I do. 🥰

So, what do you think?
What if Spider gets an avatar? I'm not so much a fan of this AU but why not?
of course Neteyam is alive 🙄, and they are older.
Spider:19, Neteyam: 18, Kiri,17 and half, Tuk 10. I don't really know anymore Jake and Neytiri ages💀 also Lo'ak is 17 but he is alredy mated to Tsireya and they lives with the Ematikaya clan.
“You guys ready?” Norm asked looking at the family, Tuk the youngest, a ten-year-old full of energy was jumping from the excitement, she stepped on her tail several times but that didn't stop her.
“Yes, yes, yes” she kept on saying, her mother tried to make her calm down, but it was a little difficult since her belly was getting all her energy, her and Jake new baby was growing strong.
“Tuk calm down” Jake said stopping her by the shoulders.
Kiri was circling the lab impatiently, waiting for Spider to wake up in his new fake body.
Spider wanted a avatar since he was at least three years old, but since the body was very difficult to make, he couldn't have one. Then something unique happened, something that have never happened before, and everyone was sure would happen again.
Spider a week prior had a dream, he telled that this dream was with the great mother, Eywa, without talking or letting him seeing her true form (from what he telled she had varying features, like the tail of the Metkayina clan, but the colours were the one of the Omaticayas) led him to the place where he first clamped a tree.
There he founded a body, an Avatar body, who had his features. He asked for answers but she didn't tell him anything, then he waked up. When he tolded the Sully family what he had dreamed, no one picked him seriously except Tuk, who lead him to her grandma.
Mo'at said that she had a similar dream, and they taked off to see the place. There they founded the body, on time because some animals were getting close to it.
And there they were a week later, after the scientific and Eywa had given the ahead, Spider selected a day to try the new body, and if everything would have gone well in a few months he could have transferre into it.
But let's think about what was happening now, Spider putted himself in the machine minutes ago, and the Sully family was waiting for him to wake up, everyone minus Lo'ak who was coming with Tsireya the following day.
Neteyam was very nervous, he was outside the place were his mate would have wake up, he saw the avatar body and it indeed looked nice.
"What do you think?" Spider asked some days before the body trial.
"About?" Neteyam asked, they were watching the body who was in that strange tube, the same where the avatar of Grace was.
"Do you like him?"
"it's looks just like you so yes" Neteyam responded
"I mean, do you find it hot? I already dream about our mating" Spider said in a suggestive tone, picking gently Neteyam tail caressing it.
Neteyam cheeks blushed think of that.
"theoretically we are already mated in the eye of Eywa" the blue one responded.
"Yes, but not in the eyes of the clan," Spider responded, with a hurt tone? "Beside with this body, the human one, it hurts, i hope that with this avatar one won't" he continued.
"You really think I'm going to fuck you that soon?" Neteyam asked boldly
"language" Spider said pulling the tail a bit, making Neteyam sigh in something that sounded like he enjoyed that, they were lucky they were alone in that moment. "And by that what do you mean?" Spider continued
"I want you becoming comfortable first,i want you to learn how to live with that body, then i will think what to do with you" Neteyam responded.
Spider looked at him for a few seconds "get your Ikran here, we are going out, and you will make sure i will not going to walk by tomorrow" Spider said and Neteyam quickly got to call the ikran.
"I can't wait to become one of the people, to be your official mate" Spider said after they were done some hours later.
"I think he is coming" Kiri said making Neteyam look up.
Spider walked out of the room awkwardly stumbling on his own tail, who attacked his head.
"Hi" the avatar could only say.
Tuk runned to him making him lose some of his balance but Kiri was quickly there to help him out on that.
"I see you" Neteyam said coming closer to his mate.
The other that could only now watch him properly sweeten his face "I see you too".
I LOVE WRITING ABOUT THEM

Hi anon that was requesting Jake x reader x Neytiri/ Tonowari x reader x Ronal
Just a little headcanon for the future (Au)
Norm and Max have a surprise for the poly mates they announce they made y/n an avatar and it was a surprise from grace that she never got to finished so norm and max decided to finish it for her and the poly mates are excited at first then realized that she would have to pass the eye of Eywa and she has a high chance of living but a very low chance of dying (cue Jake and Neytiri not wanting her to do it) and even though y/n wants to take the chance , Jake and Neytiri are denying her that chance. They argue about this for weeks until y/n says why she wants to take the chance. The reason she wants to take the chance is because she might not live long enough to see the kids grow up not grow with them because she will live only half of the kids live and her mates so they cave and take the chance and it was close she spend a long time in the eye of Eywa that her family worried but it was because she was having her moment with grace and when she awakes in her new avatar body she looks at her human one and cries tears of happiness for making it and tears of sadness as a goodbye to her old life to start her new one with her mates and kids (and maybe more in the future) {ps y/n’s avatar is a little smaller than Neytiri like maybe 5 inches smaller than Neytiri)
(Sorry if it was meant to be human reader but I liked this Au I hope you like it too also sorry if it makes no sense)
don't apologise!
it's a super cute au, especially seeing grace 😭 idk i get genuinely emotional when i think about grace's character, i think i'm just super attached to sigourney weaver
i just tend to gravitate more towards human readers, which is why they never really end up with avatars in my works - i guess i just prefer the dynamic? but i do actually read avatar/na'vi reader fics too!

More Headcanons of Avatar!Grace lives, has Kiri, adopts Spider, and runs to the Reef People with the Sullys:
Context: Lo'ak wants to court Tsireya
Spider: Yeah, cuz, get some!
Jake: No. Don't encourage him. Out of the question.
Grace rolls her eyes, "Come on, Jake, let Lo'ak court the sweet girl."
Jake: They're too young and shouldn't fall into a relationship so quickly. She's the chief's daughter.
"Oh? That's funny. I could have swore you and Neytiri only knew each other for a few months--"
Jake: Shut up.
Lo'ak: No, please don't, Auntie! I want to hear this.
Neteyam: Me, too, actually.
"If you wanna properly court someone, boys, DON'T listen to your father. That skxawng didn't even court Neytiri before they snuck away to mate before Eywa. She was promised to another and--"
Lo'ak: No way!
Neteyam: Father, how are you not dead?
"Now THAT is an excellent question!"
Jake: Grace...
"Just here to humble you, marine."

So… I recently discovered the Self-Aware Genshin AU? And now it’s just living in my head rent free. So, have this, I guess? Fair warning in advance? This is pretty much just word vomit. If there’s a coherent thought process down there, tell me when ya find it.
Tumblr media
✧Fandom; Genshin Impact
✧SAGAU (Self-Aware Genshin AU)
✧Characters; Gorou, Traveler (briefly), Kamisato Ayato (one appearance), Kamisato Ayaka (one appearance)
✧Pairing(s); Gorou × GN!Reader/Overseer
✧Warning(s)/Genre(s); Fluff
Tumblr media
“Oh my god, he’s so friggin’ cute. Look at his lil’ tail! WHY IS HE SO CUTE???” Sobbed a disembodied voice. Its suddenness made the general’s ear twitch.
They were rare occasions, but today was one of the days he accompanied the Traveler about Teyvat. It appeared the Overseer required his knowledge of Inazuman specialities. Far be it for him to question them! Even if they had their small party leaping (why they refused to just let them sprint was anyone’s guess), climbing and swimming all about Inazuma with little rhyme or reason from an outside perspective…
He was used to just being a supporting cast on these little jaunts, easily overpowered by the Traveler and their other companions. But the Overseer seemed to see fit that he led the group today. And so he leapt and glided across the Tatarasuna landscape with the party in tow.
As common knowledge as the Archons and the stars themselves, Gorou had known of the Overseer for years. It was through their guidance and will that simple mortals all the way up to the Archons themselves could attain heights yet unseen. They could also, supposedly, bestow their presence upon a chosen few; making them avatars of their will. Such a being more than earned the reverence with which they were spoken of. Up until several months ago, he would have never considered he’d be such a person.
But now here he stood at the Serpent’s Head with a drive for some unknown goal guiding his actions. It was strangely invigorating. If a little startling, as the Overseer only spoke on occasion despite their ever presentness. His cheeks flushed.
Perhaps it was just him, but the Overseer was quite… affectionate. They rarely called on him, sure, but that didn’t stop the deluge of praise that their voice would shower upon him whenever they blessed him with their will. Praise for the silkiness of his tail. Adoration for his voice. Desire expressed to touch his ears. The last one tended to get his hackles up. Purely out of reflex, of course, how could he deny the will of the Overseer?
And, though it may be selfish, he found himself hoping their overt affection was specific to him. Such a thought was appealing, his tail lowered and gradually stopped wagging, but he doubted it. After all, if the Overseer so favoured him, why would they have chosen the Traveler as the main conduit for their will? His ears lowered, eyes narrowing as his gaze was cast upon the golden haired figure sitting a short ways away from him now that their party had settled down for a brief break.
Certainly, the Traveler had a presence to them. Otherworldly. Powerful. Captivating in both aspects. But the Overseer had expressed such favour for him! So, why not him? Why not grace him with their presence more often? These thoughts and similar ones tended to plague him each time blue, purple and occasionally gold stars raced across the skies of Teyvat; signs of the Overseer’s fervent wishes.
Rapid-fire, phantom blips echoed in his mind. Blip. Blip. Ping. He’d shared his title of the “Ever-Victorious General” with the golden-haired outlander once upon a time. Unbidden, he began to reminisce out loud, reciting his part of the conversation quietly to himself. The Traveler had begun petting his ears before he could finish speaking in that initial discussion, cutting him off at the unwelcome but pleasant attention.
…odd. Was that another power of the Overseer? To bring forth one’s memories? No…! Why that one?! His ears and tail trembled at the thought. He found himself recalling that one quite often, especially on the days he was required by the Overseer. It had to be their doing, right? Was their something in that conversation they found intriguing? …or did they just enjoy teasing him?
“D’aww, Gorou’s so dang cute! I can’t! Ugh, I wanna pet him too! So, so badly!!!” again, the Overseer’s voice rang loud in his ears. The chuckles of the Traveler and the Kamisato siblings assured him that he wasn’t hearing things. He whimpered, ears pressing firmly against his scalp.
…but he didn’t dislike it. This was the Overseer! The overarching higher power of all Teyvat! Granter of powers beyond mortal capability! If it was them asking to pet him, snuggle him, dote on him as they were so clearly wont to do… he wouldn’t say no.

Trudy's Back At It!
Sorry for the lack of content for the Trudy Lives AU, my brain's just been consumed by what I'm just going to refer to as the Spider Project for now since I'm shit at coming up with titles.
NOW THEN
Some random thoughts about the AU:
Like I've mentioned a bit before, I think Trudy has like a Na'vi best friend who is a taronyu of the Omaticaya clan. I'd say he thinks Trudy is cool and a badass, especially for a Sky Person and loved the way she takes care of Spider. I think he would kind of be like a big brother or like babysitter figure to Spider and I'm thinking he's a lot younger than Trudy and looks up to her. I want to name him, but I'm just not familiar enough with how Na'vi names work to do that yet, but hopefully will be doing that soon.
I think Trudy probably spends more time with him than with Jake and they're both just like chill people. Like a lot of them hanging out is just doing their own thing and not talking or playing with Spider or something. But Trudy also just feels at ease enough with him to talk to him about random stuff from her life back on Earth, which is why he respects her all the more for giving her all in raising Spider when she didn't really get what she's endeavoring to give the kid.
I think during the first movie, he was probably one of the younger taronyu of the clan, one who had just recently completed his iknimaya or something and he still has nightmares about that time. I think he met Trudy because he's the one who dragged her out of the wreckage of her kestrel (cause she crashed instead of getting blown up by Quarritch thank you very much). He had gotten separated from his party and was frankly terrified to death when he saw smoke rising from her copter and Na'vi battle paints across the sides. He figured she was with Jake and pulled her out, securing a mask on her. They've been friends ever since because of that.
As to how he connects to Jake and Neytiri, I think he would have been one of the kids in the original school Grace had built before the beginning of Avatar I, so he and Neytiri were close, maybe she babysat him every now and then when he was younger. I also think he probably would have been kind of fascinated by the humans when they first arrived, especially learning under Grace who's just such a cool lady so he takes more of an interest in human things than the others did/do.
I think he admires Jake a lot. He was Toruk Makto after all, a figure they'd only ever heard stories about.
I think he'd probably often be sighted either hanging back with Trudy or holding Spider's hand to keep him from running off into the woods or something.
I'd also say that because he's interested in human stuff, he would ask Trudy to teach him Spanish so he's like the only Na'vi who comprehends a human language other than English. Except maybe Jake who probably had the crappy American teaching version Spanish in like middle school or something and can understand things here and there (mostly the swear words).
If anyone has any name suggestions for him, please tell me! I imagine his name starting with either a 'T' or 'S'.

Hera and Ezra + Ezra as the Avatar AU
My pleasure vod! Have a little scenario that's been living rent free in my head for a while now
(Set after this)
“Why don’t you have a seat?” Hera asked, nodding to the chair across from her. “You can have some breakfast.”
Realizing how hungry he was, Ezra crossed the pavilion and dropped into the seat. Hungrily, he applied himself to the plate Hera slid to him. “Thanks,” he mumbled. “For everything.”
“My pleasure,” Hera said. “Kanan’s an old friend, so letting you two stay here is the least I can do.”
Swallowing hastily, Ezra said, “Right— where is Kanan?”
Pouring herself a cup of tea, Hera nodded out towards the garden beyond them. “Over there.”
Ezra followed her gesture towards the garden. A winding path led away from the pavilion, disappearing into the foliage. Not far away was a small pond, with a waterfall leading into it from a stream above.
Kanan was standing there, ankle deep in the water. His eyes were closed, and instead of the battered travel clothing he’d worn the day before, he wore a sleeveless green  shirt and gray pants.
As Ezra watched, he moved, his gestures easy and graceful. While Ezra wouldn’t have recognized the movements off hand, he knew Korra, looking on inside his head, did. And the water flowing up around him, spinning in elegant spirals and curves, made it obvious.
“I’ve never seen him waterbend like this,” Ezra said slowly. “He’s only ever used it when he has to.”
“I know,” Hera said. “I asked him about it once. He says that here, he’s… safe. He doesn’t have to use it to fight, or defend himself from the hatred towards benders. This is the only place he can use his power without preparing for battle.”
“Huh,” Ezra said. “He must really trust you.”
He looked back at Hera in time to see an odd, emotional smile crossing her face. “I hope he does,” was all she said, sipping from her tea.“Ohhh,” Korra said. “So they’re in love, in love. I get it.”

I'm considering trying my hand at this idea I came up with but wanted a second opinion on if I should go through with it. Basically this is an au where human spirits manifest in the form of daemons, whereas with the Na'vi each clan is capable of shapeshifting into the animal that embodies their clan's spirit (in a way this is my take on how humans and Na'vi see the world differently: a lot of humans see themselves as individuals and separate from nature and the Na'vi have a strong sense of community and a deep connection to the life around them). This difference is something that baffles both parties and helps to feed the humans' thoughts on how the Na'vi are "savage animals" along with fueling the Na'vi's thoughts on humanity's disconnect from pretty much everything, and the rift just keeps on building between the two.
In this au humans have turned a piece of the land (basically what can be considered Hell's Gate + some extra) and turned it into this thriving human community with everything from their own gardens and whatnot to a school and a park, all that fun stuff (I'm picturing one of those beautiful dome cities that's like overrun with vegetation and just kind of a whole vibe) and this is where Spider grew up. Oh, also note that some of the dome goes into the ocean. Anyway, in this au the war still happened but later than in the original movie, and after Jake and the Na'vi won they were able to come to an agreement and though pretty much all of the military was sent back to Earth, the rest were allowed to stay---within agreed-upon borders, of course---especially due to the amount of children already within the city that was at the time just barely finished. Quaritch and Paz still died and all that and Spider was adopted, but not by the people who canonically adopted him.
He actually lives a pretty good life all things considered (I didn't want to make him suffer lol) but there's this curiosity he has regarding the world of Pandora outside of Eden (that's the region of the city he lives in; the city is divided into several regions such as Arcadia, Eden, and Newport. These regions are mostly divided by the main creole & product. For example, Eden grows most of the fruit and veggies and the main creole spoken there is an English-Gaelic variant. Arcadia produces most of the grains and rice and its main creole is an English-Greek variant. Newport is the part of the city the touches the sea, its main thing is seafood, and its defining creole is an English-Mandarin variant. Additionally, all kids are taught true English in school. Na'vi is optional, however a lot of the people who stayed behind were scientists who learned Na'vi and as they began mixing Na'vi with the English they spoke to their children an English-Na'vi hybrid began to rise and might eventually branch off and I'm getting off-track whoops) and the older he gets the more he yearns to go outside of the dome just to at least see what it's like.
One day his curiosity wins and he sneaks out into the forest. This is when he runs into one of the Sullys (feel free to give me an opinion on which Sully you think it could be if you want, I'm spending a decent amount of time thinking about it because this will be his love interest eventually) and from there they begin to learn about one another and slowly rebuild what was lost at the beginning of the war (oh yeah I forgot to mention that in this au most people consider the shooting at Grace's school to be the true beginning of the war for reasons that I won't get into in this ask lol). I feel like Kiri might be the perfect one for this and I have been wanting to try my hand at Spiri but I'm still weighing it.
Other things to note about this au:
Norm is still the ambassador between the Na'vi and the humans.
Avatars are tricky and took a long time to perfect because of the whole daemon/shapeshifting thing. I'm toying with a few possibilities but for now I think their daemon will stay with them but actually change its form to a Pandorian animal.
I'm still debating on what this means for the Sully children. I think it could mean that they all have a chance of either getting a daemon or being able to shapeshift, and if that's the case then I might make it to where one or two of them aren't able to shapeshift but instead have daemons.
Jake, just like all the avatars, cannot shapeshift but instead his daemon changed its form to match a Pandorian animal. Haven't decided what yet. I thought about Toruk but then decided against it because taming a real Toruk was, in my opinion, one of the deciding factors in the clan's acceptance of him after his betrayal (again, feel free to add what you think it could be if you want).
The city has been terraformed, however nothing outside of it has been as part of the agreement (originally they wanted to terraform it it all). In case you couldn't guess, this was a huge source of conflict before the war.
Jake never visits the city (I mean with the man-made atmosphere *that, fun fact, is actually showing signs that it's beginning to manage itself!* it is a bit inconvenient), instead Norm visits New Hometree. This is important to note because most of the common members of the community have never so much as seen an Avatar in person (again, because of the atmospheric difference) and most Na'vi by this point haven't seen a human up close in over a decade.
Earth animals do live within the city walls. Most of them are domesticated and genetically modified or used as livestock, but yeah. Since animals couldn't be shipped via kyro, they were a clone type of situation originally but now they're doing well on their own due to the abundant DNA samples adding diversity to the mix (we wouldn't want another Gros Michel banana situation).
Not really something you need to know, just a fun fact I wanted to add: Jake's daemon was originally a coyote :) Sometimes he'll wake up and forget that his daemon isn't still a coyote and look around for her for a minute.
Anyways, does this seem like an idea I should go through with? Is it too out-there? I'm willing to hear any thoughts you may have!
NO YOU SHOULD YOU SHOULD OMG.
O B S E S S E D. I love daemon aus so so much, as you guys know one of my areas of focus is speculative fiction because I love love love the metaphors of the speculative and how they can be used to represent real life conflicts and issues so fantastically. I am so interested in this idea of a disconnect in the Na'vi/Human soul representations, and how it plays into their prejudices. UGH fuck off the soulmate aus post is happening today probably you got me fired up. I have an essay to draft.
This different world that the humans live in is pretty fascinating too, I always get kinda bummed when the humans get anything besides the few loyal humans getting to stay and assimilate in a fic. I discussed this in the comments with @milesocorro on the end of their fic Please be kind, please be gentle with me (which I know, I KNOW I mention a lot lol, the worldbuilding requires it). I think it comes from the fact that any group of humans sent up to Pandora is not going to be the neediest ones, it's not going to be the ones who's lives were the worst on Earth. The first to leave and get out are going to be the richest, the most powerful, the most influential. It's the Elon Musks of the world, the ones who helped make Earth as bad as it is. Besides, the Na'vi shouldn't have to compromise their own land and their own safety.
Rant aside, VERY INTERESTED in the implications of this world. LOVE the idea of Spider and his undecided love interest bringing about a more communicative relationship. I always get sad when Spider doesn't grow up with Na'vi culture, but I like the Milo Thatch idea of him here lol. I think Kiri is a great choice, I love me some spiri and we as a collective deserve more of it. My second choice would be Neteyam as he's next in line to lead and there could be a storyline of star crossed lovers LEADER EDITION lol. I also just really need more nocorro there isn't enough of them.
I'm very obsessed thank u please do write it. Maybe Jake's daemon is a teeny tiny toruk, like in Harry Potter when they get the mini version of the dragons they'll fight and then they're like lil pets. That always LIVED WITH ME where is my teeny dragon.

Grace lived AU. Sort of a Trudy lived to AU.
Grace survived because Jake just got out, and in the link while it was in the mountains,Norm and Trudy got Grace there in time for Jake to show up as Toruk Makto. Since they got there faster,Grace was saved. But for this, AU Mo'at fixed her wound in her human body, and she was injured the whole three days and the battle day. Now, everyone is being healed and rounded up at the Tree of Souls. Both ally clans are still there as well. Story starts with Grace,Jake, and Norm talking at the lab, which was moved to the tree of souls area with Mo'at's permission. It's temporary, though.
"So your Ole'ektan now huh,Marine?"Grace grinned, teasing Jake, who rolled his eyes and scoffed playfully. Norm chuckled and rolled his eyes to
"Yeah, I can't figure it out myself. Why is this skxawn is Ole'ektan." Norm teased at Jake to. Jake didn't really mind because it was an understandably funny idea that he went from "Skxawn Sky person" to "Ole'ektan & Toruk Makto" in just three months. Eventually, it was getting dark, and they were all getting tired, but Inkeyni and her husband came over to them.
"Grace?" Inkeyni asked looking at her avatar. Grace,Jake and Norm all looked at each other and back.
"I'm Grace,honey. What is it?"Grace said
"My clans best warrior,Tey'ik,wants to see you. He is injured to as well."Inkeyni said. Jake and Norm watched Grace's eyes widen and looked at one another with a "This make any sense to you?" Look. Grace was quiet for a minute before she shook her head and said, "Uhm. Uh yeah. O-okay. I'll come." Grace started to leave with them when Jake called out."Hey, Grace? What's going on?" She flinched at him and said,"I'll tell y'all later, kid. Promise." And Grace walked away to the Taraygini clan tents. Later the decided to go find Grace since she hadn't come back yet.
Grace walked with Inkeyni to a tent where she was let in. Tey'ik was laying on a sleeping mat with a bandage on his torso, leg, and arm. Grace flinched.
"Well, he is asleep, but please wait till he awakens. He has been truly persistent in seeing you." Inkeyni said. Grace nodded, and she was left alone with her....."Old flame." For a moment, she just watched him,now a bit aged like her,but still very strong with muscles from swimming and climbing trees and cliffs. He was still handsome as ever, and even though his eyes were closed, she was willing to bet the gorgeous amber of his eyes hadn't changed either. She gently touched the side of his face, she couldn't help it,not when her favorite warrior, who was so mighty, was so vulnerable. Tey'ik's eyes opened and he smiled a little
"Grace."his still rough but strong and gentle voice rang out.
"How'd you know it was me?"She asked in a soft manner. In response,Tey'ik took her hand and held it up, gently touching her pinky finger. Grace smiled.
"Why did you want to see me,Tey'ik. I'm sure you have a powerful mate who's worried for you, " Grace said, even before she'd always known one day he'd leave her for a Na'vi woman.
"You're right." Tey'ik told her softly. "I do have a mate. A beautiful one,and she's sitting in front of me." Grace looked away."I'm not your mate Tey'ik,I never was." Tey'ik groaned softly and rubbed his eyes
"Eywa's sake, you're as stubborn as a sternbeast, woman," He told Grace. She flinched and said, "Just say it, Tey'ik. I'm not your mate."
"Grace" Tey'ik said taking her hand and holding over his chest, his heart "If I was not meant to love you and you not to be my love, Eywa would not have intertwined our fates this way." Grace went quiet and was crying a little. Tey'ik forced himself to sit up through the pain and wiped her tears with his hand. "Please do not cry,Yawne. It hurts me to see my lovely little demon cry. " Grace looked at him through her tears. She knew he wasn't lying and knew she'd deluded herself about believing she wasn't always going to be his, she whispered "Tey'ik...." Tey'ik gently cradled her face with his hand and leaned gently, kissing her. Grace kissed back, putting her hand over his on her cheek. They stayed like that for a moment before she pulled away. He smiled but winced and forced himself to lay down again. He smiled gently at Grace and murmured, "Go ahead and leave,Grace. Your body, both of them, need rest." Grace chuckled lightly and kissed him one more time before she moved herself out of the tent and to her own. Once there, she transferred back to her human body and grabbed a spare mask battery, and went back towards his tent. Jake and Norm stopped her, though. "Grace? What's going on, and what was that about earlier?"
