Las series están bien pero las audioseries...

Las series me han rescatado de momentos aburridos, de espacios sin creatividad, me han dado vida, me han enseñado y he flipado con muchas que a esta altura se han vuelto mis favoritas de toda la vida peeeeeeeero haber descubierto las AUDIO-SERIES ha sido una explosión de entretenimiento.

Y porque la entretención y el aprendizaje siempre se comparte, te dejo mis favoritas en un ranking.

10. Ave de presa - Emisor podcasting - Spotify (chilena)

Escrita por la guionista de la serie chilena "La Jauría", Paula Del Fierro, la audioserie cuenta la historia de un asesinato investigado por la agente Sara Cardenal (Gianina Frutero) en el sur de Chile. Ella y la PDI cuentan con algunas pistas y el culpable podría ser un acaudalado hombre del sector, de una familia con poder, pero eso no le impedirá a Sara ir tras él.

Cuenta con dos temporadas de 4 capítulos cada una.

9. Quemar tu casa - Emisor podcasting - Spotify (chilena)

Una pareja busca su casa perfecta, pero cuando la encuentran se dan cuenta de que algo no está bien. Las casas mantienen muchos secretos y al parecer los y las vecinas saben muy bien de qué se trata todo. Al igual que Ave de Presa, aquí también actúa Gianina Frutero y su creador es Julia Rojas. Los capítulos duran entre 11 a 18 minutos porque según el guionista este medio no da para más pero creo que se equivoca con las próximas audioseries que pondré en el ranking.

Contiene una sola temporada de 10 capítulos.

8. Señales de viaje - Emisor podcasting - Spotify (chilena)

Si bien las actuaciones de esta audioserie dejan mucho que desear, está dentro de mis favoritos por la historia, por cómo se desarrolla en un viaje la unión de hermanos separados por ideas y distintos cursos de vida. Me gustó mucho la imaginería que utilizan para ponernos en distintos contextos, arriba de un bus, en un auto, en pleno desierto y en el sur de Chile, donde tristemente no desarrollan lo más rico de la serie, los mitos de la nación Mapuche.

Dura una temporada con solo 8 capítulos.

7. Turing - Emisor Podcasting - (chilena)

Son solo 4 capítulos de una serie donde la tecnología y la AI son protagonistas. Año 2032, un hombre llega a una empresa a averiguar un extraña desaparición en Neuralia, un lugar donde generan robots muy parecidos a los humanos, pero carentes de conciencia.

6. Algebra - Emisor podcasting - Spotify (chilena)

Esta audioserie es creativa porque nos ponemos a los oyentes dentro del juego. Nos va haciendo participar en la toma de decisiones y podemos crear un propio final según nuestros deseos.

A mí me gustó mucho jugar y descubrir lo diversos finales para una misma historia.

5. Número Oculto - Spotify (argentina)

De esta audioserie solo puedo decir cosas buenas. Me encanta que las protagonistas sean lesbianas, que su historia NO sea que son lesbianas y que el poder, la escritura y los viajes en el tiempo tengan tanta relación. Para que una buena audioserie funcione, el diseño de sonido debe ser impecable y en esta historia lo logran con creces.

Les recomiendo que cuando la escuchen lo hagan con audífonos y se dejen envolver por la historia de Sofía, una escritora que está apunto de firmar su primera novela con una gran editorial, hasta que una llamada cambia el destino de su viaje y de su vida.

4. La Esfera - Podium Podcast - Spotify (española)

La mayoría de las auidoseries españolas que expondré en este ranking duran más de 30 minutos cada capítulo. Tiene un cuidado extremo por lo sonoro, todo es impecable, creíble, puedes ir imaginando y recreando imágenes en tu cabeza con esta historia. Pero a veces te quedas en blanco escuchando una historia que podría ser real, aunque es presentada como una ficción con base en lo real, sigue siendo algo inventado. La protagonista de esta serie; Maika, es una policía que luego de perder a su pareja, encuentra trabajo en una área extrañísima de su institución donde descubrirá verdades que solo ha visto en películas de ciencia ficción.

1 temporada, 8 capítulos.

3. El apagón. 2016 - Podium Podcast - Spotify (española)

Cuando comencé a escuchar esta audioserie supe que sería distinto. La forma en la que nos contaron esta historia se asimila a las películas como "La bruja de Blair" o "Rec", donde hay una voz que narra que esta historia es "real" y que cuentan con una recopilación de audios "reales" que construyen una historia que debería ser conocida por todo el mundo.

Como va y como viene esta audioserie te mentiene expectante en cada capítulo, avanzas sin darte cuenta y no se les escapa ningún detalle. Cada personaje es tan real que muchas veces se me erizaba la piel escuchándolos.

*Me faltan un par de capítulos para terminar y no quiero.

2. La firma de Dios - Podium Podcast - Spotify (española)

Uf. No sabía si poner esta hermosa audioserie de las primeras o si con el segundo lugar le daba el podio que merece. Es una historia corta pero intensa, muy intensa. La fórmula para contarnos la historia podríamos decir que es fácil, son una serie de entrevistas PERO la maquinación detrás del sonido es espléndida. A medida de que los personajes te van contando su versión de los hechos, vamos escuchando sonidos que nos remontan a esas verdades. Me da la sensación de que está escrita casi para que la veamos. Los sentidos en esta audioserie se entremezclan, puedo sentir algo que solo oigo. Puedo ver algo que solo escucho.

La firma de Dios es una historia distópica por allá en el 2034, donde una comisión de la memoria investiga un hecho que cambió el rumbo de la historia de este planeta. Hay una investigación, hay entrevistados pero lo que más hay son preguntas.

Caso 63 - Spotify studios (chilena)

Ay diosita. Ya la he escuchado dos veces, es que te pones los audífonos y no paras. La estructura de los personajes, la consistencia de la historia. A todos mis amigos que se la he recomendado me han dicho lo mismo: ¿Esto es real? Es que parece tan real que te dan ganas de mandar todo a la mierda y aprovechar cada instante porque pronto se avecina una pandemia y su nombre es Pegaso.

Esta audioserie está escrita por Julio Rojas y protagonizada por Néstor Cantillana y Antonia Zegers. Es tan buena y original que ha sido comprada por Brasil y Estados Unidos para una reversión.

Los viajes en el tiempo, ideas y venidas, los cambios de personaje y todo el respaldo científico que hay detrás del guion no te hace querer moverte para saber cómo terminarán sus vidas (si es que terminan).

Mil de mil.

Dos temporadas, 10 capítulos cada una.

Amigas, este no os lo podéis perder

Lo siento. Lo he intentado muchas veces, pero XRey me aburre. La figura del monarca nunca ha sido motivo de emoción en mi vida, pero he tratado de darle una oportunidad. Y dos, y tres, y cuatro, y cinco… No he sido capaz. Sin embargo, en mi radar de escucha esta semana ha aparecido cierto producto sonoro que me ha enamorado. He devorado su primera temporada en un día y me dispongo a hacer lo mismo con sus siguientes temporadas, no sin antes dejar mis primeras conclusiones por aquí.

Os estoy hablando de Caso 63, queridas.  El marco argumental del pódcast se centra en las grabaciones de una doctora, Elisa Aldunate interpretada por Antonia Zegers, que investiga la misteriosa aparición de un visitante del futuro. El individuo asegura haber regresado al pasado para evitar una catástrofe y, más allá de la simplicidad de una historia bastante desgastada y utilizada por la industria creadora de contenidos, son las píldoras en forma de acontecimientos que el destino nos tendrá preparados en un futuro no tan lejano las que me han mantenido atrapada en mis auriculares. Me explico. El heróe enigmático que regresa del futuro para salvar a la humanidad  de su terrible destino ya lo hemos visto/escuchado/ojeado en diferentes formas. Sin embargo, aquí es diferente. Pedro Reuter, personaje protagonizado por Néstor Cantillana, narra una serie de acontecimientos probables que suponen un compendio perfecto para mantener al oyente con todos los sentidos activos. Así, este nos habla de un borrado global de la nube online, la aparición de nuevos grupos totalitarios, el mundo de los sueños y sus significados, el desvanecimiento de nuestras creencias, la creación de nuevas generaciones interpandemitas, la condición de Marte como primer planeta habitado por nuestra especie antes incluso que la Tierra, etc.

Si todo esto no te parece aún suficiente para engullir Caso 63, déjame hablarte de su diseño sonoro. Es muy básico. No incluye músicas más allá que una melodía original envuelta de suspense con matices un tanto espeluznantes y sonidos claves que te ayudan a contextualizar las vivencias de los personajes. Por su parte, la audioserie se guía mayortitariamente a través de las conversaciones entre la doctora y el caso 63, Pedro Reuter, pero es esta sencillez la que impulsa la esencia del pódcast. En mi opinión, el diseño sonoro está pensado de esta forma debido a la profundidad de los temas y el peso de la historia. En otras palabras, el marco argumental es tan bueno y dinámico que la inclusión de sonidos, más allá de los necesarios, harían al oyente perderse en el desarrollo de la narración.

El éxito de Caso 63 es innegable y ha logrado erigirse como el pódcast más escuchado de Latinoamérica. Además, la duración de sus capítulos, de unos 17 minutos de media más o menos, ayudan a la reproducción del pódcast. Así que, concluyo y repito, este no os lo podéis perder, amigas.

thinking about 10 years ago when I saw Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind, a weekly live show written and performed by the Neo-Futurists, a small but surprisingly influential theatre group. The group attempts to do 30 short plays in 60 minutes. The plays cover a variety of topics both dramatic and comedic and are usually based on the performer’s personal experiences. (the show has since been renamed Infinite Wrench)

in one play, a performer gives a monologue about his stuggles with having a “gay voice” and how he often feels pressure to put on a “straight voice.” he brings out fellow castmember Cecil Baldwin onto the stage, and talks about how Cecil’s rich baratone has brought him a certain level of fame as the main star of popular audioseries Welcome to Nightvale.

he then says, “CECIL DOES NOT HAVE ANY LINES IN THIS PLAY.”
