You ever just get off of work and think about Jiang Cheng and about how random civilians yap on and on about how he’s mean and cruel. Yet for all their rumors and hissed words, Jiang Cheng has a thriving sect that cares deeply for him and is trusted greatly?
Like he was what, 16? When his parents died and he was left alone and traumatized from the Wen’s torture and his brother was missing and his sister was hidden away for her safety. And he marched across the land and was so charismatic, so capable, so full of confidence (fake or otherwise) that cultivators who had no reason to trust or give a damn about him, where willing to follow him through war.
There’s so many rumors flying around about him being this nasty cruel man, yet his sect is filled with people who go rushing after him. Who have faith in him when he says not to say anything about his claim of Mo Xuanyu being WWX. Who are trusted by Jin Ling, who adores his uncle so much, to watch Zidian and return it to him. Who willingly skip around after Jin Ling in fake Jin robes to watch for him.
That’s not a sect that’s under a cruel and harsh leader. That’s not a sect that fears their leader. Jiang Cheng couldn’t have gotten where he is, if he was half of what the rumors say he is. He can be ruthless, yes, but when he loves he loves so fucking deeply. And by the fact of the sheer number of people who joined his sect and raised their kids under his protection, it’s so clear that that love extended to his new sect.
Anyways the secret to Jiang Cheng is that he loves and loves and loves and loves.
And loves.

Chuuya and Dazai definitely saw each other's rawest moments during their teen years, but I think to begin with it had very little to do with trusting each other with those moments.
We've seen Dazai witnessing Chuuya's worst moments in Fifteen, the Dragon's Head Conflict and in Stormbringer. I'm willing to bet Chuuya saw Dazai struggling too, simply because they were most likely given their hardest mission together.
Soukoku were the mafia's heavy hitters, I imagine the missions they were deployed on together weren't easy. Chuuya knows what Dazai looks like when he's stressed, he knows what behaviours Dazai does to try to self soothe. (For example: Dazai rolling on the ground to calm his mind enough to concentrate.) He could have only learnt them during their years together in the mafia.
Dazai most likely tried to hide whenever he was struggling on a mission, not wanting Chuuya to have ammunition against him. He assumes that should someone see him stressed, it can only be seen as a weakness and used against him. That would be the smart thing to do anyway, that's what Mori would tell him to do. He doesn't expect Chuuya to sympathise with him. He forgets Chuuya knows what it feels like that have an overwhelming amount of responsibility placed on your shoulders.
Slowly, they open up to each other and get more comfortable being honest when they struggle on missions. Not with words, they won't admit stuff like that outloud if they can help it. But through actions, through being comfortable to show their coping methods, little signals to each other that they need a minute or a hand getting back on track.
Maybe the only reason the rest of the mafia thinks Dazai's blood is mafia black is because they never saw his vulnerable moments. The only people who did are now dead, turned traitor or a man so loyal he'd never betray the vulnerabilities of someone he cares about.

with gojo, geto and even kenjaku dead, do you think satosugu's story is completely over? because for me personally, if this is the end of their story, it feels kinda unsatisfactory and inconclusive. i hope we get more content and there are so many questions about their story that still need to be answered. i dont expect gojo's censored last words to geto to be revealed ever but i hope we get at least a somewhat conclusive ending.....
Their story had a conclusive ending, they're not the main characters so no matter how much we crave for more bits of satosugu this is what we have and this is how they ended. I don't necessarily find it unsatisfactory considering both of them served their purposes and we got another top notch satosugu angsty crumb till gojo's last breath (that panel of him saying "my only disappointment is that you weren't there to give a slap on the back" and geto's tears). I don't think we should drag it out or find any other means to insert more stsg when it isn't even their story, sad but true. This is it for us, they happened, it was beautiful and then it ended.

You know what's crazy about s2 Izzy and Ed’s arcs?
Izzy got exactly what Ed always wanted.
Even though Izzy and the World drilled into him that he couldn't have it.
So Ed believes it. He puts his walls back up and pushes everyone away until all he can hope from them is the sweet release of death.
Ed wants to cry in front of the crew and be held through it. Ed wanted to the ship to be a place he could be his weakest/softest self and still be loved and appreciated for it.
But Izzy crushed his hopes in Episode Ten. He insulted and threatened Edward for daring to be vulnerable with the crew.
But guess what happens to Izzy. He cries, loses a legs, shows the crew the most pathetic parts of himself and he becomes the New Unicorn. Everything Izzy said Edward wasn't allowed to have or do.
Even after Ed's banishment, He never really gets to have a moment like that with anyone on the ship besides Stede. Because the crew is still recovering from The Kraken. Until Izzy dies, that's the only time he cries. But do the crew gather around him and comfort him in his hour of need...
No. They just stand there solemnly.
