Scenty doesn't make them do challenges she keeps them on the plane to live life like theyre bugs and basically finds joy in being able to watch them and maintain control while also craving more interaction from other people. this ultimately means that no one gets eliminated and no one is in any real danger. however, Charlotte is literally dying from the mold and ends up . yknow, dying. Freaking Scenty out because one she didn't expect it and two since she had never killed anyone during their stay in the plane she never learns the respawn command making it even more of a disaster to her mental state lol

Ok so this is where things get fuzzy im not to sure how charlotte does it BUT SHES ABLE TO NAVIGATE THE RADIO (maybe another stone is there in the waiting room idk let me have this) and ultimately is able to arrive back at earth. Parker runs into her they have a whole back and forth, Charlotte is avoiding him with her mixed feelings while Parker wants them to have some sort of communication because hes equally as worried for her as he is frustrated. Im pretty sure i planned for them to investigate the whole plane and maybe even more about Scenty (without knowing its the unknown 'deity' who trapped her and the others.) Charlotte concluded she has to stop Scenty by going back which . means she has to kill herself. Which Parker is immediately against and they have their second big fight but it ends with Charlotte dying anyway.

anyway SOMEHOW Charlotte is able to go to Scentys world and wow she finds out shes a normal person who just decided to fuck around and find out i guess. Scenty is immediately overwhelmed with joy because wow Charlottes here and shes alive! And shes. not a murderer, hah. But Charlotte is pissed so they definitely have a very funny bonding moment where Charlotte has to suppress the urge to kill this naive and too overbearing candle. While trying to figure out how to stop what she's doing with everyone else.

..and yeah, the ending is basically undecided because i had planned for either one of them to die.. OR BOTH who knows really but i still dunno either way so there's that. I hope you enjoyed my long spiel cause this might be what you get for a while lol and if none of this makes sense, then sorry, but i literally can not construct anything comprehensible in my current state LOL

yeaah i just didnt really vibe with him when i played, plus i got pretty annoyed seeing him everywhere before getting into the game (travis too but thats a whole nother thing). like good for all you guys for having fun but i just cant get into it

im gonna be honest about my opinions on him so if you reeaaaaally like dylan i recommend not reading. and i mean that genuinely

1.ive just. i immediately saw dylan as one of those like male characters that get super popular in a fandom bc he: is white.is a guy. is a brunette. is associated w/ a gay ship. and is fit under a "bad boy / mentally ill / misunderstood" trope. i truly and honestly dont care if someone likes these types of characters. as long as you're not a fucking freak, i dont give a shit what you do. its just such a prominent trend that should make you go HMMMMM fandom hates women and people of color! and basically im just sick of that trend! so seeing dylan also fit into it turned me super off lmao

2. in relation to his character, i think its fine, i guess, its nothing revolutionary. especially in regards to other supermassive characters.... i thought about this during work one day and like. emily has a similar character to dylan LOL and ive had this thought before but. dylan and emma are also very similar character wise! in terms of like. compensating ina very negative way due to insecurity! but you know whch characters get the most flack for being dicks? for being bitches? for being the worst? and you know who doesnt?

3. i also particularly hated the thing he did to abi during the camp fire scene. like. i dont care if you compensate by making jokes and shit, you're still an asshole. and so is emma. and so is emily. i dont understnad why dylan should get ANY different treatment. but anyway, that dare was absolutely targeted towards abi and nothing will change my mind on the matter. abi is very clearly on the outside of the group. hell, the entire time everyone (mainly kaitlyn and emma) makes comments about how incompetent abi is when it comes to dating anf shit. and so for dylan to ask what he did? it put her on the fucking spot and humiliated her. i dont care if he "saves" it if you dont interrupt as ryan, there's absolutely no way hes unaware of abi's standing social wise in the group. him asking HER that of all people is just shitty. he fucking knows what abi's answer is gonna be. and even though she never answers the question, the damage is already done.

and before anyone says anything, i know nick also was targeted in diff ways for being "incompetent" in this specific sense. which is another conversation im willing to have. but even so, rthe comment ryan still makes bout not letting that "prep aesthetic fool you"? and the way he kisses emma? he clearly has got some "game" or whatever the fuck. whereas abi doesn't really have any of those moments (except for kissing nick first, which is something kaitlyn ryan and dylan said she wouldnt do LOL). and speaking of kaitlyn? and in association, emma? what they did to abi is one of the things i hate most about them and what happens in game. its actually what made me begin to DISLIKE both of them when it happened. basically what im saying is, kaitlyn and emma arent exempt from this criticism just because i dont like dylan. and i also dont care if thats the "point" of truth or dare. it still makes all the characters involved fucking dicks. they know how abi is like, emma especially, so seeing them all pull this shit is just disheartening and sad.

Random Sasuke analysis cause you will hear me out and i appreciate it.

Like, Sasuke/Naruto love it to bits but i feel like Sasuke is so emotionally fucked that the concept of loving someone and being in a relationship with someone is two different things to him that he could do and being in a relationship with Sasuke is just having a friend that is learning how to be a person again but also he's like a little chill now but also freaks out at oddly specific situations that sometimes will kiss you on the lips. Im not saying i don't think Naruto and Sasuke could ever be together but if Naruto wanted a relationship that is what he's ever seen a relationship to be as or what he could do if given the chance to be in a relationship with anyone he couldn't have that with Sasuke because that's not Sasuke you know what i mean? Like Naruto's idea of being with Sasuke would be a certain thing and actually being with Sasuke would be different. somebody is gonna come for me for saying this but i stand by it. And Naruto he understands and knows things where Sasuke doesn't know how to do a lick of romance or a love action, he just got here his love actions are something that's being learned putting this in the perpective of lets say after everything happen they somehow allow him to roam free in the leaf dude has to re-learn emotions, re-learn how to talk to people and have normal conversations he's been gone emotionally and physcial for so long he needs friends father figures, mother figures and figuring out himself before he adds anyone to his equation and that's ok. I think this is why Sakura and him being together makes no sense to me, like it's cute it really is but after everything that happened do you think Sasuke would really? like he knows she likes him and he understands how to be the thing she wants maybe? but he can't bring himself to feel the emotions she wants him to feel and if he's there it's like the body is there and that's all, his heart isn't in it he could kiss her and it's just a kiss thats all our lips just touched are you happy? i guess im happy too it made serotonin so i assume im happy and it's because i kissed you and you liked it cause you smiled so i guess i will smile and be happy. he would do the same thing with Naruto but it would be slightly different cause Naruto and him are different. He kisses Naruto, our lips touched and it made you question several different factors and i saw that, lets do it again to make sure we felt the same thing.

i want a fanfiction that explores Sasuke emotionally coming to terms with things and re-learning how to be a living being cause i know he doesn't know how to do that anymore. Now, to talk about sasuke:

I agree with you, Sasuke is a very complex person, after everything i don't think he would or could enter a relationship with anybody. He needs to relearn trust, love, faith, and everything, not only in himself, but also in relation to the world and others.

I understand what you said about Naruto having expectations and wanting a romance that looks like what he knows, but i think he would be open to trying anything along with Sasuke's boundaries and limits, because he just wants to be close to him in any way he can, even if it's not how he idealized before. Naruto is a very empathetic and respectful character i know he would do his best to help Sasuke during his journey of self-discovery, not necessarily as a lover, but as his best friend.

Both of them would have to learn what romance means for them and how they could create something with each other. Sasuke has a lot of issues he needs to work on, but i think sometimes having that steady person there means he has a safety net to rely on, something he did not have before.

I'm not gonna enter into sasusaku discourse now because i have way too many opinions on it but don't have the time right now, if you want to discuss more about them pls let me know!!

It’s a nice bench, under a little roof, and Aye points that out as he drags Akk by the hand and adds, “That makes it perfect to sit with a laptop under.”

“Ohh,” Akk nods, smile wide and confident, “What would I use the laptop for, huh?”

Aye shrugs and turns back to him, looks at the sun on Akk’s face and thinks about how pretty he is, but doesn’t answer.

Akk answers himself, anyway, saying, “Probably for working on. I wouldn’t be video-calling anyone, right?”

He’s nearly laughing at his own joke, but it’s Aye’s joke too, so he’ll allow it – he wanders around the bench and back into Akk’s space again.

“That’d be redundant,” he agrees.

Catching his hand, Akk stands over him with light in his eyes and says, “How would it be redundant?”

Aye’s glad he asked.

With a hum, he twines their fingers together properly – Akk doesn’t always catch them right, trapping two of Aye’s together, because his hands are bigger and just that little bit clumsier, but Aye can always fix it – and as he’s watching their hands he explains, “Well, you’re always going to be wearing one Bluetooth headphone, and we’ll always be in each other’s ears. A video call at the same time would probably make a weird feedback loop.”

Akk snorts.

He doesn’t disagree.

This is how they’re handling it – or, well, he’s pretty sure they’re handling it? Aye isn’t having the best time, thinking forwards, and every couple of days he calls his mae, or Akk’s parents, or Akk, or sometimes Thua or the guys, and asks if he’s making a stupid choice, but the choice is made and Akk’s university wouldn’t take a registration this late anyway, so the choice is made.

But Akk doesn’t seem like he’s as freaked out as Aye, or even as freaked out as he was, and that’s because they’re handling it like this; the jokes about how they’re going to manage being attached at the hip from five thousand nine hundred and ten miles away-

Okay, Aye hasn’t told Akk he’s memorised the specific number.

And he’s so grateful for the difference between when their terms start, because it means he gets to bother Akk and make him learn the city with Aye, and they can kind of pretend they haven’t decided to make everything way harder than it needs to be. Like they always do.

Eventually, Akk says, “The time difference is six hours in the summer and seven in winter, we won’t always be awake at the same-“

“-You included daylight savings when you looked up the time difference?” Aye grins, delighted.

Akk’s busy sputtering and trying to deny it when-

“Hey, man!”

He drops Aye’s hand and turns.

This doesn’t alarm Aye at first – they aren’t actually physically glued together, no matter what Thua might say.

Or Mae.

Or pretty much anyone else they know.

But they aren’t and it’s not weird to drop the hand you were stroking to have an entirely separate conversation with… someone.

Who is this guy?

Akk is nodding a lot as they speak and calling him phi, but Aye doesn’t recognise him, and Akk’s classes haven’t actually started yet, so he isn’t quite sure where this guy could be from.

Again, not literally attached, but-

“And your friend…” the senior is suddenly turning to him, expression open. “You must be from a different faculty, right? You weren’t at the welcome meeting.”

“Oh, I don’t go here-“

“-This is Aye,” Akk agrees, taking his hand again – which would be good except for what happens next – and adding, “And I’m so sorry, he actually has to meet up with someone,” and before Aye really knows what’s happening he’s been pulled away and out of sight.

He’s still looking over his shoulder at where they just came from when Akk stops, so abruptly Aye crashes into him.

Akk tries to step back; not allowed, so Aye winds an arm around his waist as quick as he can.

Clearly there’s a very serious issue.

Obviously they need to be hugging for this.

When he looks up, Akk’s face is pained, and Aye can think of half a dozen things that could be the issue but he won’t press-

“I’m sorry, I don’t know what my fucking issue is, I shouldn’t have-“

“-It’s fine,” Aye says, but apparently he will press because Akk needs it. “What was that about?”

Because if Akk didn’t know, if he was confused, that would have been ‘I don’t know why I did that’ – if he’s talking about ‘my issues’, he’s in self-hating mode, so he must have some idea.

That thought process has Aye nearly reaching a conclusion, and his heart clenches because he doesn’t want Akk to hate himself over that, but it’s for Akk to say, not him.

Slowly, Akk closes his eyes.

Aye puts the other arm around him, because he might go into escape-mode at any moment. Not allowed.

“I started thinking about introducing you as my boyfriend,” he says to Aye’s shoulder, “And then he actually asked. And I just- it just felt like I was back at Suppalo.”

“Akk-“

“Sorry.”

“Akk,” Aye tries to interrupt, intervene, because Akk sounds like he thinks Aye’s mad at him, and yeah, sure, he thought Akk was past this stuff, but that doesn’t mean he could ever be mad at Akk for it.

But Akk doesn’t wait, repeating, “Sorry,” and awkwardly, slowly adding, “I don’t even want people to not know about you. I like people knowing you’re my boyfriend. It’s nice.”

Which is definitely a cue for Aye to hug him tighter and stare up at him with all the devotion he had learned to tone down in school settings – reluctantly, and only with frequent reminders from their friends, but he had learned. Emergency situations are different, though, and Akk’s sad.

That’s the most emergency a situation can be.

Akk meets his gaze and gets visibly caught in it, does that thing where he tries to close his eyes but can’t for long because he just wants to stare back.

“It is nice,” Aye agrees. Carefully unwinding one arm, he reaches up to stroke Akk’s head and says, “But it’s not something you owe me.”

Face filled with disagreement, Akk shakes his head and repeats, “I don’t know why I’m like this now.”

Aye doesn’t either, doesn’t know what to say to it all, but even though he’s not always as smart about this stuff as he used to pretend, there was someone in his life who really was, once. The answer comes to him from a memory.

He swallows against the feeling.

“Uncle Di told me, once, that problems come back around once you’re ready. So you can prove to yourself that you’re stronger than before.”

Akk hums, and Aye feels it in his chest too.

“What,” Akk starts, swallows, and continues, “What do you think that means for me? Now?”

Aye thinks…

Well, he’s pretty sure it’s for Akk to know, and to decide, and they can talk about it seriously and they can talk about it for a long time, but it’s been a couple of minutes since he’s seen Akk smile.

Ignoring all his thoughts, then, Aye says, “Hm… well, I think that because last time you ended up stealing a car about it, this time it has to be more. At least a bus… maybe you could steal a truck?”

“Aye,” Akk laughs, beautiful and embarrassed.

“Could you steal a truck?”

“Why would I steal a truck-“

okay so the other day I got volume 9 of csm, little did I know, that’s where all the drama begins cause what in the worldddd

(I was planning on reading volumes 1-11 via physical volumes but I couldn’t wait to buy volume 10 so I decided to read it online but I ended up catching up on the entire series ?? 🙂🐸)

So here is my genuine reaction to chapters 70ish thru the current chapters

ok first of all, the character development Denji AND Power have gone through is insane. I didn’t think they could get this close, which genuinely breaks my heart that they didn’t have this for long 💔💔

They both matured for sure, there’s no denying it.

I also wanted to point out the bath scene, I haven’t really seen anyone talking about it enough, but the fact that Denji didn’t fall for selfish desires and actually helped Power bathe instead of making the situation awkward, was so sweet omg 🥺🥺

again, here we can see the difference in how he has matured, before he wanted women for his own desires but now he starts to realize that he is able to have platonic relationships with women like Power

Okay, for starters this arc is honestly a lot more interesting than the first one, (I love the characters in the first arc more tho) I literally love the whole idea behind all the tension between Asa and Denji, Asa is a little confusedwhen it comes to her feelings and is convinced that she doesn’t have any feelings for Denji OR Chainsaw Man but which is honestly really funny considering Denji’s personality. And Denji is just as confused as she is. 💀💀

From the beginning, Denji has never truly understood love, all the girls he “fell for” were just using him, and he only wanted them for their looks, bodies, etc. but now when we bring Asa into the picture, I think she’s definitely going to change him for sure, just like Power and Aki did. I think they’re definitely going to be end game, with Asa he doesn’t really have feelings for her *yet* but I’m sure he will catch on and realize that there’s more to women than just their looks, and Asa will humble him. love her!!! her character development was AMAZING, going from miserable and clinging to false gods to fighting for a cause greater than herself. her backstory is genuinely heartbreaking, but then it's wonderful how she overcomes it. plus her relationship with casca is just so tender and sweet, its honestly one of the best parts of the entire series for me.

Schierke

BABY GIRLLLLL i love her so much too!!!! she's just such a sweetie, she brings a bit of lightness to the series that we desperately need LOL. shes just a delight

LOL she's fine. I don't dislike her don't get me wrong!!!! and her design is awesome, but there isn't a whole lot to her at the moment.

LITERALLY EVERYTHING!!!! well not everything. not That One Thing. u kno LOL. her heart and love for the hawks is just so beautiful, her enduring spirit even through the worst hardships, and how competent as a leader she is. UGH im going to cry. also i know post-eclipse casca isn't really anyone's favorite and like, i get it LOL but also one thing i love love LOVE about berserk is the supportive relationships between women, so seeing the way women really nurture and take care of casca throughout conviction arc and beyond is one of my fav things!!

Farnese

Again just her incredible character development, the way she's written is just so heartbreaking once you get the chapters about her family life. She starts off as selfish and insecure and very much not likeable LOL but as you keep watching you see her grow and change. She's flawed in such a realistic way imo but by forging these real, genuine connections she becomes a better person herself. It's rlly emblematic of the themes of berserk

Schierke

She's so fricken OP LOL. The scenes of her calling up the water spirit and calling up the death god are SO cool. It was honestly awesome to see a woman take part in the "fighting" again (i mean for a given definition of fighting). Like she's just this teeny cute lil witch but she's genuinely one of the most powerful characters in the series!!

I've been meaning to get around to this for a long time and I was going to make it a more gussied up and "formalized" sort of theorycrafting post, but fuck it, im just gonna freestyle it.

So basically

My idea of what makes magic different in RWBY basically comes down to source.

Semblances use Aura, and Magic doesn't.

You power magic by sucking in the invisible natural energies of the universe around you. And this *theoretically* has all the energy you could feasibly want.

But why aren't mages unstoppable, then?

Because Aura is still important in a *different* way, and is now like your "stabilizer" or "foundation", rather than your fuel.

Just because magic has almost unlimited fuel doesn't mean *your* capabilities are unlimited, in much the same way as how a car wouldn't suddenly become omni-capable just because its fuel tank endlessly refills.

So basically, Aura is now still important for making yourself a *sturdier* and more *reliable* car for pulling crazy magic stunts.

In this way, magic overuse is sometimes actually worse and more dangerous than Aura overuse.

Instead of your power having a point where it'll naturally run out, it *won't* do that by itself, it just gets increasingly painful and unstable.

And looking at a different angle of all this, someone like Ozpin can still become a *worse* mage over time despite having "infinite fuel" because his body's "entryway" for magic, or proverbial Magical Succ Strength, has become increasingly Shit over time, and whenever he splits off a new, smaller and more specialized "entryway" for someone else to use, he has to reduce the diameter of his own accordingly.

So basically he has access to the world's BIGGEREST pool of pure rocket fuel but he has to sip it daintily with a teensy widdle silly straw.

Salem, meanwhile, is actually being nerfed by what the gods did to her, in a way.

She can't just instantly nuke anyone within sight because *her* system is constantly forced to passively run one very taxing spell in particular, and that spell is called Being THEE Most Unkillable There Ever Was.

This is effectively using up a bunch of this bitch's RAM and bandwidth at all times, and her trip to the Forbidden Hot Tub only made it Worse.

"But Salem is an INDESTRUCTIBLE car" you say. "She's That Fucking Car your great uncle has thats like a majillion years old but still works great somehow! So if she wants to she could just squnch out more magic, overclock herself like mad, and not care about what happens to her!"

Ohr but you see i Thot of that.

See, even if you are Thee Car Of All Time, magic overuse still fundamentally warps you and strains you in ways that your body at some point no longer registers as "damage" and are instead just like... a new, worse sort of "normal". Kind of like accumulating a bunch of metaphorical scar tissue and junk. But you are supposed to be a car in this analogy still so like. I guess you're some kind of horrid flesh car that has the ability to scar. Freak.

This also can mean that your like magical cloaca for succing can slowly get smaller or less powerful if you keep pulling that horseshit, with a similar sort of logic where its degradation is not properly recognized as "damage".

And this is why Salami is escared to just nuke or Power Word Kill any bitch that so much as rears their head in her 100 mile vicinity.

She doesn't want her magical clussy to prolapse.

like. sooooo many of them lol. can i say the entire cast of v3? because honest to god that's my answer -- even my faves in v3 leave Something to be desired

beyond that, i actually think that thh and gbd do a really good job of stretching characters to their maximum narrative utility before killing them off, and i do feel like in both games the most narratively flexible ones are the ones who live. i think if i had to say anyone from those games it'd probably be leon or sayaka just because the way the free time events work in trigger happy havoc work mean they get like three events and then they die and you never get to know more lmfaoo (but even then i still don't think their characters are Lacking in the way that the v3 cast is for me. sorry for being a v3 hater lol)

komaeda's, obviously LMFAO. god every time i replay sdr2 chapter 5 im struck by it all over again. like they literally had to guess!! even with nanami revealing herself! even then! they still had to be like well. hope his luck actually worked out! king popped off and the entire trial is SO good for advancing the plot and tying off hinata's dynamics with BOTH komaeda and nanami! the moment of sickening clarity when hinata realizes that he DOES understand how komaeda's brain works, and knows what his intentions really were? nanami and hinata's final goodbye? uuuugh sdr2 chapter 5 i love youuuuu.

47. A headcanon you have about a character?

*pushes two million unfinished drafts of Togami Headcanons to the side* i am going to talk about komaru. i think she's a butch lesbian and every time she's depicted as feminine in fanart my soul dies a little even though butch komaru exists solely in my head. i also think she's really sporty, but i've talked about that elsewhere hehe.

ok i'll talk about togami a little bit. it's 100% projection but i think he's agender. not in a way where he like. actively thinks about it -- even at Full Self-Actualization i'm not sure if i ever see him actually realizing it and actively thinking about himself in that way -- but i just dont think he as any particular connection to being a *man* outside of how it plays into his attraction to other men/his family's expectations of producing heirs. like he just kind of is how he is and doesn't feel compelled to make any particular effort to present as masculine. i could make a joke here about his gender just being Togami, but genuinely i do think that rings true. he's not a boy or a girl but a secret third thing (byakuya togami™️) does this make sense. like. to anyone (<- projecting and insane) whatever. i think he would look nice in a floor length skirt.

i... usually play the games on silent :X legit i know like 3 songs including mr monokumas lesson. just tried to remember what beautiful days sounded like and the wii sports theme is what my brain supplied (<- embarrassed)

i WILL say that i think drv3 has the best opening track of any of the games. its so jazzy and fun hehe

51. Character you thought you were gonna dislike but loved in the end?

mmm. hard to say, honestly? it's been so many years since i formed first impressions of the thh and gbd casts that i kind of dont even remember what i first thought of them? i have a lot of v3 characters who i thought i would like and wound up feeling kind of ehh about, but that's not the question lol

i think, Big Terrible Writing Choice aside, i was really surprised by how much i wound up actually *liking* korekiyo? like okay OBVIOUSLY they took his character in a terrible direction but before that when he's just like, a weird little freak? that ruled lol

in terms of characters that i've had full turnarounds in opinion over the course of 2012-2022? i remember not particularly liking/caring about kirigiri, sayaka, fukawa, souda, or gundam when i first read the playthroughs of their games, and now they're some of my favorites hehe. but that's less about me going *into* the games thinking i wouldnt like them -- because in both cases i went in completely blind -- and more about them growing on me like a fungus over successive playthroughs lol

56. Best free time events?

ok. take this with a grain of salt because i'm stalled out in my sdr2 replay rn so i haven't redone the free time events for that game in awhile/haven't done any v3 ftes besides maki's and ouma's because im a hater.

i think kirigiri has really good fte's. i love that she gets a little sillay in them and how subtle her progression from "why are you talking to me" to "i care deeply about you" is. i also really appreciate how the game cutting her off as an option for free time at certain points serves to make that progression feel really natural with the game's actual plot. love you miss kirigiri.

mondo's are really great as well, he's such a fun guy to interact with and him talking about wanting to be a carpenter and loving his stupid tiny dog and being too nervous to ask girls out all add such levity to his character and make it SO sad when he dies. like damn that biker gang leader trapped in a murder game really is just like. some guy in high school :-( i also loved that they brought him wanting to be a carpenter back in dr:s! made my heart soar uuuuugh i love you mondo, sorry i never ever talk about you

i also agree with @ovidiomedes about thh's c3 kind of dragging. it's one of my favorite trials, but the actual chapter is. really slow lol. i think part of that is due to the anticipation of chapters 4-6 which are some of my all time favorites across all three games, but i think it has larger narrative problems that contribute to that dragging feeling ://

Haaaah, yeah I had been planning to tell it in comic form but… that's not really feasible right now :x

So in short form:

Dr. Tetch has a pretty sweet job in the R & D section of Gotham U Hospital, working with degenerative neurological conditions

He also has a whopping case of burnout and deep contempt for the academic political system, ie begging for grant money

He has made all these devices, programs, prostheses, that he KNOWS could help so many people RIGHT NOW, but it might be decades before they're 'proven' safe, if approved at all

to say nothing of costs and accessibility

Anyway.

Jervis does not have much of a social life and likes to stay after work and tinker with his own projects (using company resources)

ofc he gets caught eventually

Another researcher walks in on some Very Experimental rabbit surgery, assumes Jervis is actually working, meaning all his results would be compromised by him screwing around with… whatever all that stuff is

they argue, and the other researcher threatens to report him, Jervis's temper hits boiling, and his colleague ends up with emergency fire axe to the chest.

Jervis has a glorious moment of triumph before returning to reality and panicking

And decides the best option is to try and fix it…the body's still fresh enough to accept the electrical stimulus from a chip…all he has to do is make the guy 'quit', right? Drop off a signed letter of resignation, then into the incinerator he goes. No one has to know. (He deserved it, after all.)

Look, just because you might be genius at your specialty doesn't mean you can plan for shit in a pinch

One saline drip, a lot of tape, clean labcoat and a series of chips to keep the lights on in this corpse for a few more hours and voila

He might not fool a real person, but if he can fool the security cameras…

Turns out he definitely can not fool a real person. Luckily, he has another chip and more tape!

So now Jervis is running a corpse and an intern. At least the live one requires less…manual effort.

He only vaguely knew the guy, he thinks he miiiight know who his supervisor is, he's got a lot on his mind…

He's lost.

The hospital is less busy this late but far for deserted, and even with scouts to look for clear routes Jervis just keeps…panic-adding anyone who even breathes near one of his party members.

Now there is a small army of zombies, including one who is losing function, having leaked saline and gore all over his previously clean labcoat, and one freaked out doctor with his mind stretched every which way, and people are noticing, and he's out of chips, this wasn't supposed to happen at all

In the meantime, Bruce Wayne has gone to follow up personally on Jervis's grant proposal and found A Mess

Jervis is quickly found by Batman

Jervis (who is far from being a hardened criminal at this point) surrenders, exhausted

Epilogue:

This was not a theatrical crime - he got his moniker from the papers because what the hell else are you gonna call a guy who has, as a random selection, four (4) tea sets, thirty-five (35) different teas, framed Tenniel prints and a dodo/tea cart hybrid automaton (that bit a cop) in his personal office

OC ask time! Who are your most active or developed OCs at the moment? And how would you describe their aesthetics?

OH GOD HELLO.

So basically, I have a handful of ocs that I'm like always chewing on. I will put them under the cut becausw this is gonna get LONG.

Spoilers for Library of Ruina ahoy btw. Also CW: gore I guess in the latter half.

First we have Kep'cho, who has been mentioned before, and he is part Mime on his mothers side. His mom was in fact a mime by birth and his dad was the leader of what amounts to a criminal organization obsessed with rules and pecking orders. (For the library or ruina fans in the audience, this is the Thumb).

His Mime-ish nature made shit hard, though he was often sullen and unwilling to speak to anyone anyway. The excessive structure was too much pressure for him, and so he did what any reasonable teen would do: fake his death and run away to work elsewhere.

His heavy involvment in the Lobotomy Corp/Library of Ruina universe makes it difficult for me to go into edtail about his adventures w/o spoilers. But hes a very calm, sullen man who has grown to learn to be more happy, and accept the idea that its ok to just be a lil silly and goofy.

He absolutely also has a clown bf now, a specific clown from Library of ruina.

anyway. There is also Tusya.

Tusya. Well shes kinda fucked up.

Less a girl and more a flesh polyp with a girl exterior, Tusya was born in the Outskirts of the Ruina universe. Taken in by R corp employee Lamarcus when he was on an expedition with the Rhinos, she was raised in the city, where thankfully she grew up okay despite everything.

Because as it turns out, being a fucked up little flesh eater/cannibal isnt the worst thing to be in this universe.

Tusya eventually grew up and started to work at Lobotomy corporation. She was INTENDED to be enrichment for Nothing There (read: he would tear her insides out and use her body as a shell to go walkabout) but that did not come to pass.

It turns out she has an affinity with Nothing there, as he does not see her as a human and as such, has no desire to kill her. Unlike other ocs who have an affinity with Nothing There, this isn't so much a friendship as it is "enrichment for two similar but different freaks".

At best, he tolerates and interacts with her because HEY. HEY HOW DID YOU GET YOUR SHELL LIKE THAT. HEY WHATS YOUR SECRET WHY ARE YOU ALLOWES TO WANDER WHEN I CANT??? At worst, he will try and eat her because she tastes good. He loves chewing on her hair, which is actually more like fleshy string cheese that looks like hair.

Tusya herself is somewhat unhinged, but not malevolent. She's arguably friendlier than most of her coworkers, but she also just. Does her own thing. She doesnt much care for right or wrong, just sees a goal and goes to get said goal by any means.

But how did she get this way?

For those who want the tl;dr version, Tusya's parents (who are unknown to her) wandered into the wrong parts of the outskirts. Tusya's mother was devoured and absorbed by a flesh colony and was dispatched by well meaning membera of the town they belonged to.

After a year of dormancy, the flesh colony came back to life and spat out a now human shaped Polyp that now goes by Tusya.

Tusya is one of my most prolific ocs, being able to be found in many other universes, including but not limited to twisted wonderland, monster high, and dead by daylight.
