@rickety-goose - beloved friend with a gorgeous painting style! beautiful texture and i know i can like, ramble an idea out and ren's got me.

@fat-rolls-frictions - so so sweet and master of managing expectations?? line work and details for the gods. the way maggie adds warmth and depth to skin blows my mind.

@impossible-rat-babies - owen nails the vibe every time. the chalk-like texture and warm lighting in his work just gets me tbh.

@sunshinemage - have you SEEN these?? king (gn) of atmosphere and lighting. rory is so thoughtful about character details too.

@harumeau - hannah's style is so dynamic and they're really great at helping their commissioners tell a story. incredible linework, and the way she colors is so beautiful.

i don't think all these folks are open for work right now, but these are my go-to artists and the ones i recommend again and again! give them a follow so you can keep an eye on slots.

Whos ur favourite artist (artists) ? 😄

Oh dear, what a hard question. I know enough about art history to name you the most known ones and to recognise their art style (sometimes). But I'm not deep enough into this to name you underrated treasures. I'm of course a big fan of Van Gogh. But I Love Magritte and if you want to see some super cool creatures and stuff, Hieronymus Bosch is your guy.

Contemporary artists on social media are something else and there are so many that I absolutely adore. Coosing one is absolutely insane, but I'll try to come up with some names of people I've been following for a long time and am still going absolutely bonkers when they post art.

Lois van Baarle: I mean... who doesn't know her? She's inspired so many artists and many try to copy her. Her absolutely dynamic sketches, the character design, the colours, the forms, everything looks so smooth and stunning. I have been in love with her art for ages.

Alice X. Zhang: Also very obvious choice, bc she is very well known for her fanart. Her style is way more realistic but she combines it with super awesome colours and textures. Go defenitely check her out right now if you don't know her yet. That's an order!

Starbite: How could I not name Starbite? Or PrinceCanary. Or Rhettaro. Or whatever name they're using at the moment. The super smooth, comic style character designs ar to die for. Also, I don't know many artists where the audience so invested in the OCs (Theo <3).

Nathalie Hall: Dark, moody sketches and super creative creature designs? Oh yes please! I could talk for hours about her gloomy style and I am always absolutely in love with her ideas. I am always a sucker for pencil drawings and hers are just on another level.

Kevin Keele: THIS STYLE! Every time he posts something, I am absolutely dying. With such simplicity and just a few strokes, he manages to visualise his deep understanding of 3D forms and lighting (especially his bouncelight is always super satisfying). Combine that with extremely unique character designs, and I'm basically drooling.

There, that's a nice list, isn't it? Needless to say, I excluded my friends and mutuals and the whole fowldom because seriously? I love everything people are posting there so much, you just have to check out the artemis fowl tag here on Tumblr!
