Women in Scripture Day One: Eve

(first off, sorry for the delay in post. We have class every Tuesday evening, but this week has been crazy with work and also starting my online college classes. anyway on to my notes ! )

It seems very fitting that for our first lesson on women in scriptures this semester, we discussed the very first woman in the scriptures: Eve

To start the class, our instructor posed us the question: "How does Eve's life and example deepen my conversion to the Savior?"

Then we began reading scripture. We bounced between the book of Moses and the book of Genesis, but I mainly used the book of Moses since it's the JST :)

The first Scripture we read was Moses 3:18, which reads, "And I, the Lord God, said unto mine Only Begotten, that it was not good that the man should be alone; wherefore, I will make an help meet for him."

To be honest, I was never a fan of this verse. I didn't like the implication that God created women only to be a helper to men. That seems to be the most widely held belief in the general christendom; God created women second, and only to be subservient and submissive. Lower in rank and duty and worth.

You could say I've been a feminist my entire life, even well before I knew what the word was or its meaning (my mom tells me that when I was little, I used to constantly ask why when I turned twelve I wouldn't be able to get the priesthood like my twin brother would. It didn't seem fair to me as a young child that had been told my entire life growing up I as a girl could do anything a boy could do, and it still didn't for a good portion of my life. It was only until a couple years ago that I really grasped why, and was ok with it). So this idea that in my God's eyes I was lesser than any man angered me. I believe I wasn't put on this earth to be a lower, side-kick, passive, baby-making, subdued woman that would sit idly by while the more important men in my life made decisions and gained educations and ruled over me.

But here's the thing, that was never Heavenly Father's intention for me, or for Eve.

In the original Hebrew scripture, the word for "help meet" is "Ezer Kenegdo". "Ezer" means "help", but not in the way our modern English language would suggest. Instead of just being a passive helper, being an "Ezer" means to strengthen, protect, and provide sanctuary. "Ezer" was used twenty-one other times in the Old Testament, and was only otherwise used to describe protection against the greatest forces of evil, from armies, and for divine guidance and strength for all of humankind. Here are a few of these verses:

Exodus 18:4 "For the God of my Father, said he, was mine help [ezer] and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh." Psalm 115:9 "O Israel, thou has destroyed thyself, but in me is thine help [ezer]." Hosea 13:9 "In me [the Lord] is thy help [ezer]."

With this knowledge we can say with absolute certainty that to be an "Ezer" is to be a stand in for God's protection and love.

"Kenegdo" is generally thought by scholar's to mean "opposite or corresponding to". Like a puzzle piece, is what my instructor said.

Combining these two words together, we know that God created Eve to be a different but important and equal counterpart to Adam, with special power to comfort and protect against evil. How wonderful is that!!! Whenever we as women serve or help protect our communities and families, we are fulfilling our God given roles as ezer kenegdos.

And this was just the first half of class!

For the second half, we discussed the story of Eve being tempted by Satan to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge, which led to her telling Adam to eat of the fruit, which led to their expulsion from the garden.

There are a few students in the institute who converted to the church only recently, and shared their previous religions perspectives on this scripture. That Eve was stupid and foolish, easily tricked by a much smarter man, and cursed all of mankind with the Fall that we should live in evil and misery and sin. But we are blessed to know, through living prophets and modern revelation, that the Fall was a necessary part of Heavenly Father's plan. In order for us to become more like Him, we need to have knowledge.

Lehi taught Jacob, "....wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no joy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no sin". It reminds me of the final season of The Good Place, which is one of my favorite TV shows of all time, where when the protagonists finally make it up to heaven they find that the constant state of happiness has become insurmountably boring, and there's no real joy to be found. We can only appreciate wonderful things if we know what it means to be miserable.

2 Nephi 2:25 (the best scripture verse, IMO) sums it up entirely for us: "Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy."

Eve knew this, and she made the right decision. She was never remorseful, saying "were it not for our transgressions we ... never should have known good and evil, and the joy of our redemption, and the eternal life which God giveth unto all the obedient" (Moses 5:11).

So, how does Eve's life deepen my conversion to the Savior? Through her, I can be an ezer to the people in my life, and can comfort myself with the knowledge that through her's and Adam's transgression, I can find greater knowledge on both spiritual and worldly matters, and make mistakes that will lead me to grow closer to my Heavenly Parents. Through the "Fall" and the Gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ, I can repent for my sins and imperfections and develop into the woman God knows I can and will become

Sometimes I wanna make a language for my little brain stories but no, I can't jst *make* a language- no, I'd have to make an older language first, so the newer language has a base to grow out of (like lots of English from Latin) but also to make it make sense i shouldn't have the alphabet directly translate to english or even follow the roman-alphabet thing y'know the lestters with engilsh spanish vietnamese french and others, so then I'd have to translate a proper alphabet but not one that translates to english seamlessly.

and with the characters It's literally some guy who speaks english in a brand new world that speaks some fantasy stuff, and then he gets a translation potion but no that's not right, i watched some vids on making magic more fantastical and less mechanical, so i should make it logic more. In magic terms.

anyways the potion for language learning only increases how quickly you learn a language based on how much you know already, so MC still had to learn some basic language skills like the alphabet and phonetics and then he has to hang arounf locals for the potion to actually make work and have him build his vocab and grammar and shit and

ong i hate my brain :(

also he's the weird one and people don't really like him bc. he desn't know how to speak their language.

he just did pictograms for the first few months or so lol.

maybe "genes" r just random n crazy like mlp logic where the two earth ponys had a pegasus n unicorn kid where everyone has interbred enough that most genes r spread out but tends to be same species kid n parent like pokemon but sometimes hybrid "mutations" happen. My thoughts: This is another super famous nursery rhyme but I personally wasn’t familiar with it. Apparently all over Japan, every evening at 5 p.m., this music is loudly played for 20/30 seconds and then stops. The song is used as a signal meaning that Japanese children finish school and go home. Huh? Have I just never noticed this before? XD Anyways, once again this is a lovely cover by KEIKO. Her voice really works perfectly for traditional songs like this. So soothing and warm.

Changed Your Name (Captain Rex x Jedi! Reader)

This can be seen as a sequel to Uncharted or predating it

Summary: You and Rex don’t always have time to call but you do find ways to talk

Warnings: none except for some slightly suggestive language, I put it into a text conversation format and I used female pronouns

Three exclamation points. This was how this conversation started. Now, Rex would like to think that he has holochatted with you enough times to get a grasp on the bizarre shorthand you used. You had explained to him that the people of your planet primarily holochatted (or ‘texted’ as you told him it was called on your home planet) using shorthand. So, naturally, Rex made it his duty to figure out how to communicate the same way. However, the captain wasn’t particularly good at it and he still had a lot to learn. Case in point: the three exclamation points. What did those mean? Were you in trouble? You were supposed to be on leave right now. Suddenly, the captain’s earlier anxieties returned. He never liked leaving you alone on Coruscant (even if you weren’t really alone, you had your entire battalion along with the Jedi) but now he was extra concerned because there was little he could do to help you as he was off-world and currently setting up camp for the night.

[Captain Rexy]

What? What’s wrong? Are you hurt? Was there an attack?

Cyare, what’s going on?

The captain was on the verge of a crisis and suddenly very grateful for the helmet aiding in disguising his growing panic.

[Cyar’ika]

Rlx, Rexy, m fine. But look-

You sent him a picture and Rex sighed in a cross between affection, relief, and soft frustration at his needless worrying. The picture wasn’t of great quality, a little grainy and very dark which told Rex you were out at night. However, before he could begin to panic because you were out at night and anything could happen to you, Rex took notice of the corner of a sign indicating you were in the alleyway beside 79’s. Most likely, you had headed to the clone hang out with your boys and had simply stepped out for a breath of fresh air. Rex knew that you weren’t a people person and that you could easily be overwhelmed even by your own men.

Rex could also see the tip of your thumb slightly covering part of the picture which told him that you had taken this picture in a rush. But what had caused that rush was in the center of the image; a little tooka kitten that looked to be a light shade of blue with darker, almost black spots dotting over its face and back was sitting on top of your boot-clad foot grinning up at him seemingly through the image.

[Cyar’ika]

Can we keep him?

he’s so cute

he jst plopped down on my foot

[Captain Rexy]

No.

[Cyar’ika]

[Captain Rexy]

You already have a tooka that goes on missions with you.

Rex couldn’t help but shake his head and sigh whilst ignoring the way his face warmed. You were always like this whenever you saw an animal you deemed cute. He remembered the first time you had shown him the tooka you adopted early on in the war and Fritz told him the story of how he argued with you for maybe five minutes before you eventually went ahead and adopted it anyway. You named it Snake due to the markings it bore which gave it a reptilian look and it was the unofficial mascot of your battalion. And the damn thing hated Rex. So, the captain wasn’t ready to share your affection with yet another living being.

[Captain Rexy]

No.

[Cyar’ika]

But he could be the mascot or the 501st

[Captain Rexy]

We can’t keep him.

End of story.

Didn’t know you thought you were texting Anakin this whole time

A chuckle escaped Rex as he read your response, catching the attention of some nearby troopers and the general in question. The captain was quick to disguise his chortling as a random coughing fit so he wouldn’t have to explain himself. Anakin, however, still sent him a raised eyebrow that Rex quickly waved away before returning his attention to your ongoing conversation when the general was distracted by a ding coming from his wrist.

…[The-Most-Annoying-Jedi] changed your name… …[The-Most-Annoying-Jedi] changed their name… …[General Ice] added [Anakin Skywalker] to the chat…

[General Ice]

Tell your captain to stop arguing with me

[Anakin Skywalker]

Oh, so it’s you that’s got my captain so distracted.

Rex, stop arguing with Y/n.

Rex pulled a face underneath his bucket before sending an incredulous look at Anakin who was smugly smiling back at him. He would have liked to say that he was taken aback by you adding Skywalker to the conversation but you’d done this before.

[Captain Rex]

But, sir, she’s being unreasonable.

[Anakin Skywalker]

How so?

[General Ice]

I want Rex to make this little guy the mascot of the 501st

You sent another picture. In this one, it was clear that you were back in 79’s, crammed into a booth with Commander Fritz on one side and Bolt on the other, and peaking out over the top of your shirt was the little tooka. The little furball was smiling again, this time in contentment as he was undeniably warm and safe. The captain felt the familiar worm of ugly green wriggling around; he should be lying against your chest, not that little monster.

[Anakin Skywalker]

Force…

He’s adorable

[Captain Rex]

No, not you too

Why don’t you keep him?

[General Ice]

I would, gladly, but look at him-

Another picture, this time of only the tooka as he was curled up in the palm of what was probably Fritz’s hand.

[General Ice]

Look at his lil ol’ face

Yet another, zoomed in on the creature’s face.

[General Ice]

Plus he’s blue

And I already have Snake

[Captain Rex]

And that brings me to the very first objection I made

[General Ice]

That was not

[Captain Rex]

Your reply didn’t come through immediately and for a second, Rex was worried he had angered you by using your title. He knew that you didn’t like being referred to by it. But, his fears were laid to rest when your response came through.

[General Ice]

Ok, so, maybe it was

But still-why can’t he be your battalion’s mascot?

He’s friendly, protective, trustworthy and v loyal

The captain suddenly felt like walking into the ocean. By now, he had taken off his helmet and switched to his datapad as he sat by the fire beside the other general he was now about to argue with.

[Captain Rex]

General L/n had the added luxury of Snake being partially trained when she found him

None of the men in our battalion would have time to train the little guy.

On top of that, General L/n has her own apartment where the tooka can stay.

You do not, General, so, he would have to stay aboard the Resolute.

Or, he’d stay in the temple or the barracks where he’d only be underfoot.

The captain leaned back in his seat, eager to see the response to his well-crafted arguments. Anakin’s eyes were busily flicking over the screen of his own pad as he tried to think of a comeback and Rex could just imagine you making that ridiculously adorable face you always make when you know you can’t win an argument but are determined to try. Your eyebrows would knit together and your lips would form into a minuscule pout, after that, your nose would crinkle just a little bit as your eyes would focus on something unseen. Then, suddenly, you’d snap back to reality with your rebuttal on your tongue. Maker, he missed your face.

[Anakin Skywalker]

I hate to say it, Ice, but Rex has a point.

We can’t take him.

[General Ice]

It’s alright

But we have to do something for the little guy.

He was just shivering on top of a trash can when I walked by the alley.

He perked up when I made him realize I wasn’t a threat

And he’s so skinny, he could die and it’d be my fault.

There you go again, letting the facade of the ‘Ice general’ melt away to reveal the compassionate, loving girl Rex held so close to his heart. A wave of guilt suddenly crashed over the captain and he wanted nothing more than to hold you. Rex caught Anakin’s eye and they both seemed to share the same guilt though Rex wasn’t certain the general understood how far his feelings delved.

[General Ice]

Wait, didn’t Padme say she wanted to get a tooka?

[Anakin Skywalker]

Yeah, how did you know?

[General Ice]

I overheard part of your holo call like a week ago

I recommend making sure your door is shut before you do those btw

Do you think she’d want the little guy?

[Anakin Skywalker]

Maybe, how old do you think he is?

[General Ice]

Not sure, I’d wager around two and a half months old

[Captain Rex]

And you’re sure he doesn’t belong to anyone?

[General Ice]

Positive.

So?

[Anakin Skywalker]

I think that’s perfect!

Thank you, actually, for taking that off my conscience

I’ll take him to the vet and get him all checked out tomorrow

For now, he’ll be living in my room in the temple

Oh, and I request visitation rights

Padme needs to make him the official mascot of the 501st on Coruscant.

Rex’s face dropped as he stared apathetically at his datapad, by now most of his brothers had retired for bed and thus he could be a bit laxer with his facial expressions. Of course you would figure out a way to undermine him. Anakin could be heard laughing to the captain’s right and Rex just bowed his head in defeat.

[Anakin Skywalker]

Done.

Alright, I’ll let you two lovebirds get back to gross couple talk now

[General Ice]

It’s not gross!

And you can’t say that when you have ‘gross couple talk’ with Padme at two in the morning!

[Anakin Skywalker]

[General Ice]

Rex’s face grew warm once again. The two of you had talked about your future together and whether or not you eventually wanted children. You’d been on the fence about it...until now.

Oh...Rex’s armor suddenly felt a little too tight. The captain couldn’t help but smile at your boldness as he struggled to craft a flirty reply.

You sent another picture. In this one, you were already in bed, hair fanned out over your pillow with the duvet pulled up to your nose but the covers weren’t enough to hide the dazzling smile. Just above your head was the infamous tooka, Snake, sound asleep on the pillow. His deep red fur looked glossy and freshly brushed and the black markings on his face added a seriousness to his furry little image. You must have snapped this picture mid ear-twitch because one of his black striped ears was blurry. In the curve of Snake’s body was the younger tooka you had found who looked like he had received a bath and a brushing for his fur looked less matted and much shinier than in any other picture. Both of the animals were completely passed out and it was easy to tell that you would soon be following their lead. You just had to turn off the lamp on your bedside and Rex knew that you would be dead to the world for a few hours till you woke up curled around his pillow with the tookas wedged between you. You looked happy but Rex could still see the longing in your eyes.

We’ll see you when you get back. I love you, always.

[Cyar’ika] Good night.

[Riduur] Good night, ner riduur.

And as night settled on the captain like a heavy blanket and Anakin ushered Rex to get some rest, he couldn’t help but think back to the image of the little tooka curled into Snake and the adoring smile you sent both the animals and him. He knew you loved him and he knew you loved those two. And suddenly, the idea of sharing your love with a little one didn’t seem so impossible.

god.... i loVE museums... when i finished uni and was looking for jobs i basically volunteered full time in all my local museums at the galleries n stuff which was really fun. they also do this thing in my city called night at the museum where primary school kids come to the museum with their school on a friday night n they have to do loads of treasure hunts n stuff n then they get to sleep there, and helping on them was always fun cos.... kids are so excited by everythin.... its like damn.... wish my brain did that

tbh i think i only feel comfortable being called She by women/lesbians. they/he is fine for anyone else. idk pronouns are weird. i do really like being called he and having masc language used for me by fellow lesbians n esp fellow butches sometimes though, bc it feels validating in a way that actually comes from like mutual understanding of who and what i am.

but again it’s not like i have much choice in the matter anyways, like everyone i work with calls me She regardless. that’s the thing like idk i like the pronoun He for me, but to expect to get that more often would mean passing as male and i still dk how to feel about that. i say as if i don’t already pass at times lol. but yeah idk. i always wanna look more masculine n i really delight in being sir’d or even just confusing ppl a bit, esp when i get to be like im a womannn and yes im super masc deal with it. but also it always depends on the context n more often than not with men i jst would rather not be seen or percieved or referred to at all. idkk Gender Weird And Hard.

Sounds of Silence pt1

A/N: Modern AU with Mitsunari! This is loosely tied to Everything comes with a price, set over a year after it. Unlike before, there won’t be a set release schedule bc this fic isn’t completely finished yet. (I just need some validation and motivation oTL). A big thank you to @dear-mrs-otome for telling me this idea doesn’t completely suck <3

Also spoilers for Mitsunari’s route!

When he opened the door all he could do was stare.

Behind it stood a young woman. And not just any young woman but the one he had seen at the library countless times reading books to kids in sign language. The woman he secretly always hoped he’d see when he went to the library, whose smile he couldn’t stop thinking about.

At first, Mitsunari was annoyed by the voices coming somewhere out of sight. Libraries were supposed to be where you could study in peace, he had no idea what could cause such a ruckus.

The sound of laughter guided him to the children’s section of the library, but what he saw wasn’t what he expected.

A young woman was standing in front of a group of kids, a book open in front of her, animatedly reading the book in sign language. The kids were excited, laughing and giggling at the what he assumed were the exciting parts of the story.

Mitsunari felt enamoured, his annoyance long forgotten. He didn’t even realise he had stared until the story was over and all the kids were circling her, trying to talk to her all at once. Her smile brightened her face and she looked so natural and happy amongst the kids Mitsunari felt almost jealous.

Just then, she caught him staring. He felt his face heat up and he turned around sharply, stomping back to the table he had reserved for himself. He planted his face firmly on the book open in front of him.

Gods, that was embarrassing. Who goes around staring random women, when they were supposed to study. Ughh…

He saw her walk towards the children's section from the corner of his eye and somehow his head turned to look after her. She stopped to wait for a boy in his teens to bounce all excited to her a book in his hands. They shared a greeting but Mitsunari couldn't follow the signs they spoke with. It didn't stop him from staring after them when they continued on their way towards the room where he had seen her read to the kids.

"Hey, are you even listening to me?"

Mitsunari turned to look at Sakon who looked at him a wide smile on his face.

"Or are you too busy staring after women to tutor me?"

"If you have time to lazy around and comment on everything I do, you must be ready for a quiz about all the important battles post-Honno-ji?"

"Ack! No! Don't you have any mercy, we just went through them 30 minutes ago?"

"Then what are you doing fooling around, you incorrigible dimwit. Get back to studying."

"I'm sure no one would have made me work this hard in the Sengoku period..." Sakon mumbled with a sigh.

"What was that?"

"I'm studying!"

When he was finally free of Sakon, he made his way to the children's section. But it was quiet, the children long gone. He was just about to turn around when he noticed a schedule on the wall. She would be back in an hour.

He could wait for that long.

Wait, maybe he shouldn't? Would that be weird? But he really did want to see her read again.

He didn't see her until he got up to get some coffee from a vending machine. She was sitting on the sofas next to it with the same boy as before, lost in an animated discussion he could only guess the topic off.

A part of him wanted to loiter so he could watch them talk, but the reasonable part of his brain forced him to return to his table.

As soon as he saw her followed by the silver-haired boy he stuffed his things to his bag and stood up to follow her. A group of excited kids were already waiting for her but he stayed behind until everyone had sat down. Then he stepped behind the parents by the door, his eyes following the movements of her hands taking in every sign.

Unlike before, this time when she was finished she kept glancing at the clock and hurried away as soon as possible, almost colliding with him. The silver-haired boy tried to stop her but after some hurried signs let her go. The look on the boys face looked a bit like a lost puppy and for some reason seeing her hurry away like that made Mitsunari feel a bit same.

He was brushing his teeth in the evening when he felt the buzz of his phone in his pocket.

[23:12:45] <<bookshy>> do u evr feel like ur stuck in ur life? [23:12:52] <<bookshy>> like u shld hve accomplishd so much mor in ur life tn u hve?

He stared at the screen for a while before he typed a reply. He didn't know who bookshy was, not really. They had been talking with each other for years, but always with nicknames, always through messages in the internet. It felt more comfortable that way somehow. Knowing there was always a person willing to listen to you without judging.

[23:13:05] <<ManjuDreamer>> Are you feeling like that right now? [23:13:07] <<bookshy>> ya [23:13:11] <<bookshy>> i dunno wht ill do w/ my life [23:13:19] <<bookshy>> i thght id do so mch more u know? [23:13:22] <<bookshy>> and now i jst feel liek im stuck nd see no way out [23:13:23] <<bookshy>> is ths my life now? [23:14:50] <<bookshy>> evry1 says i shld b happy w/ wht i hve [23:14:59] <<bookshy>> i hve so much im feeling ungrateful whn i feel like ths [24:15:46] <<ManjuDreamer>> You still have plenty of time to accomplish your dreams. He heard a knock on the bathroom door and quickly finished brushing his teeth. When he opened the door Hideyoshi was standing behind it already in his pyjamas.

"I thought you'd never come out," he commented with a yawn and pushed past him to the bathroom.

"Good night," Mitsunari wished to the closed door before he retreated back to his room.

[23:18:30] <<bookshy>> how was ur day [23:18:49] <<bookshy>> i saw the prettiest person today like hot damn [23:19:13] <<ManjuDreamer>> I saw an interesting person today too, I wish I get to see them again. Other than that, it was mostly my student being an idiot, so nothing new. [23:19:53] <<ManjuDreamer>> I tried to do some research on a paper I'm writing, but it didn't progress much. I was just about to go to bed so I have energy to study more tomorrow. [23:19:56] <<bookshy>> srry to keep u up [23:19:57] <<bookshy>> night! [23:20:10] <<ManjuDreamer>> Night.

Mitsunari tossed the wig from his head frustrated, running his hand over his face. He glanced at the mirror of the bathroom, at the perfectly drawn eyeliner, the perfect shade of blush, the perfectly applied foundation. The perfect set of lies, painted on his face.

[13:33:14] <<ManjuDreamer>> I went to see my mother.

He hesitated a bit before he sent the message. It didn't take long for his phone to bling with a reply.

[13:34:29] <<bookshy>> how did it go? [13:34:48] <<ManjuDreamer>> As well as you would expect. [13:34:51] <<bookshy>> u wanna t alk about it?

His fingers ghosted over the screen of his phone before he put it down and looked at the mirror again. He reached for the makeup removal wipes from his bag and scrubbed furiously at his skin until the last remains of the makeup were gone.

[13:36:18] <<ManjuDreamer>> She's there but I feel like I'm losing her. [13:37:01] <<ManjuDreamer>> Every time I visit she seems further and further away. [13:37:15]<<ManjuDreamer>> Sometimes I wonder if the mother I used to know is there at all.

He started to type his next message, but stopped, gripping his phone tight in his hand.

[13:38:34] <<ManjuDreamer>> She's my mother, but it's so hard. [13:38:42] <<ManjuDreamer>> I don't know what to do.

He glanced at the mirror to make sure his eyes weren't red before he pulled his shirt over his head and replaced it with one from his bag.

[13:38:47] <<bookshy>> ur doing plenty already [13:38:49] <<bookshy>> u dont have to push urself so hard [13:38:50] <<bookshy>> im sure shed understand [13:38:59] <<ManjuDreamer>> But I'm all she has. He put his phone on the side of the sink and wiggled out of his skirt. He really should buy a new one next time he got paid for tutoring. The zipper didn't work properly anymore and the hem was starting to fray. He kicked the flats from his feet and looked at the kneehigh socks on his feet. They wouldn't be visible under his pants anyway so he let them be and took his pants and shoes from his bag before showing the skirt and shirt in their place. He considered showing the wig in after them but realised making the wig presentable after that would be too much of a hassle. So he gently combed the wig with his fingers to sort out biggest tangles and folded it neatly in a mesh bag. Flats into a plastic bag, then into the bag.

Like countless times before.

He got dressed and made one final glance at the mirror before he put the bag on his shoulder and stepped out of the bathroom.

"Oh, Mitsunari! Here to see your mother?" a nurse greeted him when he tried to slip past the nurses' office without being noticed. What a nosy bunch of quidnuncs insistent of mothering him.

“Yes. I was just leaving.” He replied with a stiff bow.

“Come and have some tea with us! How did the test go you told me last time?” Another nurse poked her head from the office. Mitsunari resisted the urge to roll his eyes and offered another bow.

“I believe it went well. I still haven’t received the results.”

Half an hour later he was still stuck at the nurses' office surrounded by what felt like a flock of mother hens, all determined to squeeze every bit of information out of him they could. He was just getting up from his chair when a voice behind him froze him on the spot.

"Did my darling Saki leave already? She was just here... Such a dutiful daughter, coming to see her mother so often..."

His knuckles turned white as he squeezed the edge of the table, his head down. He wanted to turn around. He wanted to see his mother as himself. He wanted... needed to see if she'd recognise him this time.

"We saw her leave a while ago, Mrs Ishida. She's such a nice girl."

He heard a nurse walk his mother away and the sighs of relief from the remaining nurses.

"Are you alright, Mitsunari? You know we'll listen to you if you need to talk. Or we can help you find someone-"

"I need to go now. Goodbye," Mitsunari interrupted the nurse who had put her hand on his shoulder to calm him. He got up in such haste his chair fell to the floor with a rattle, but he just offered a quick bow before he fled the office.

He didn't stop until he arrived at the bus stop. There he sank on the bench, burying his face on his hands.

He took the bus to the library, staring idly out of the window.

At the library, he searched for materials for his upcoming paper but when he sat down and tried to read, the words didn't make any sense.

When he had read the same page several times over and still remembered absolutely nothing he was interrupted from his reading by a book shoved on top of the one he was just reading.

"Can't you see I'm-!" the sharp words died on his lips when he saw the same woman who had read to the kids in front of him. She tapped on the note on top of the book and he looked down to read it.

'This is the book I was reading. You seemed interested'

She handed him a second book, a note on top of it too.

'I'll read this next'

When she shifted her weight from one foot to another clearly uncomfortable, he realised he was staring. He offered her a curt nod as a thank you and she bowed at him a small relieved smile on her lips. She seemed to hesitate before she signed something but he had to shake his head.

There was a slight shift on her smile, on her posture, and she took a step back.

'I'm sorry' she mouthed and offered him a bow before she all but fled, leaving him to sit alone, feeling like an idiot.

"She's not here today."

Mitsunari was startled from his thoughts by a familiar voice behind him. He turned around, vaguely aware of the frown his irritation had brought on his face.

"Who?" he asked as if he didn't know exactly who was the 'she' in question.

"I got this for you, I'm sure it holds some useful information." Mr Otani handed him a flyer for the children's activities in the local libraries. Mitsunari stared at the flyer blankly before he looked at Mr Otani, letting his irritation show.

"And what am I supposed to do with this?"

Mr Otani just smiled and pushed a book towards him as well.

"I'm sure you'll find this useful as well. Come find me if you need anything else."

Before he had time to protest Mr Otani left him with a wave, a wide smile on his face. He considered running or yelling after him, but changed his mind when he looked at the book in his hand.

'Sign language for beginners'

He tucked the children's program leaflet securely at the back of his calendar and checked the book out.

Something about the sign language intrigued him. She looked so graceful when signing. And so comfortable and she seemed genuinely love reading to the children.

At first, he thought he’d look up a few signs. Just in case some of the children needed help in the library. Just so he could talk to her. No, he meant the kids. So he could talk to the kids. But few turned into a few hundred. A few thousand. He was so lost.

Hi! I just recently got into the 2.5D fandom and I really really would like to watch the Touken Ranbu Musicals because I’ve loved the franchise since the game came out. But I can’t buy the CD’s of the play cause they don’t ship to my country. Is there anyway I could watch a subbed version of the plays?

Hi! Yes there is a way to watch them subbed! You can either make a Tumblr account and you can download some of them from us! (As we don’t give out private links to anonymous people) AND/OR you can make a LiveJournal account and join (as all of the download links are member locked) the Tenimyutopia Community as there is a masterpost of all of the musicals! But one of the links no longer works since the user took down their copy.

I can make a masterpost here for you so then you know who is sharing what and what is available on Tumblr and in the Tenimyutopia community! And since you’ve asked for the musicals specifically I will just do them because I can add in the Touken Ranbu Stage Plays (Tousute) in the future if need be!

Hikaru is wearing a cute cable-knit pullover with laces. Her hair and make-up look gorgeous

As always they are drinking bubble tea XD

They talk about the song and how it was supposed to have unusual lyrics. This is why she mixed a lot of stuff, like English lyrics and Japanese lyrics. Hiragana and Katakana. Everyone should check out the lyrics in the CD booklet because she thinks it will be qutie fascinating. When she heard the song for the first time she knew it would be perfect for English lyrics.

She wanted her dress to fit the image of the song. The blue also fits her image from the past 10 years since she often wore blue as part of Kalafina. She particularly loves the skirt since it flutters so nicely. She lives that the sleeves are see-through and black.

Everyone is looking forward to the customised autographs from the Animate campaign. Hikaru was very excited to sign so many pictures.

She brought the Revlon lipstick she showed yesterday and which she is using today.

Finally an instrumental of “Landscape” in the background. It’s not what I expected but it sounds lovely. I think I expected something much slower since she talked about a calm atmosphere in her countdown video. She explained the same stuff she mentioned in that video about the different sceneries and such.

Some talk about the anime and the episode which is airing today and she is lusting over a sexy onee-sama from the anime XD Not quite sure who she is referring to here. She mentions that it’s another character who is her “moe” but at first she is not willing to share. Fans ask her who her “true” moe is and then she reveals it’s Sissel.

Talk about her acoustic live on Dec 29. She really would have loved to provide a live stream option but unfortunately it wasn’t mean tto be this time. Hopefully next time. Then she talks about the flower theme of her new songs. She did a lot of research on the “language of flowers”.

Hikaru is introducing the live goods which are available for purchase in her online shop until Nov 20!! (The keyholder is bigger than I expected. Love the mask holder tho; Now I kinda regret not getting the parka) AHHH! A backpack???!! HikaRucksack XD That’s new!! I WAAAANT! Seems like it will be available at a later date (Nov 21 ~ Jan 8) in the online shop, Hikaru will try to decide on a decent price)

Game corner where you need to place yor magnets in a way so they don’t touch (game is called JISHAKU). Hikaru is so cute (and super stressed) trying ti carefully place her stones, If she wins, Takeshi Kato will have to write a live report for her upcoming concert XD Alas, Hikaru loses the game. But surprise, surprise, Takeshi Kato will do a report anyways because Hikaru was so sad that she lost.
