I remember this one but can't find it! Iirc, WWX was in a coma in Lotus Pier, but the rest of the cultivation world was told he was dead. Can't remember how his spirit ended up in a paperman, but all the Lotus Pier people knew, and eventually LWJ figured it out when he was visiting for a cultivation conference or something. I think they were trying to figure out how to get WWX back into his body when MXY did his ritual and WWXs spirit was pulled out of the paperman and everyone freaked out that he'd died for real this time

2. Hi!! Thank you for all your hardwork here.

I was looking for this fic where Wei Wuxian doesn't get adopted by the Jiangs.( I'm not sure if it was because he retained his memories of his earlier life.) Anyway... he gets the Dafan Wens at Yiling and closes Yiling with a barrier that no one can break through.

At some point Lan Wangji comes by and meets Wei Wuxian and there's a little bit of an identity crisis happening because Wuxian doesn't want to tell Wangji who he is but the smart Lan figures it out (I think lol) Also the war happens (again not so sure) but anyway all the sects comes to ask for refuge at Yiling.

The part I remember really well is where The Jiangs come by boat and Yu furen is her usual self with her condescending attitude.

I also remember a section where, towards the beginning, Wuxian actually cures the Burial mounds and like the entire village just loves him and takes care of him because he's such an angel.

Please find this for me cuz I went through 115 pages in my history and still couldn't find it. @poetic-writes

4. Hi!! Thanks for your work, I have been looking for a fic I read I while ago. It is a MDZSxTGCF crossover, it starts with Wei Ying arriving to ghost city after his death and Hualian finding him (I'm pretty sure he calls Xie Lian an angel at some point). Some time later, Lan Zhan travels to the ghost city to find Wei Ying, he doesn't find him but Hua Cheng lent him some luck so they can reunite soon.

5. hi! im looking for a fic where the juniors of lotus pier think wwx gives the worst punishment. in reality, wwx just deliveres them to the most appropriate adult to deal with it. like if the best punishment would be "im not mad just disappointed" lecture, then he'll drop the kids off to jaing yanli or if they need handstands then to lan wangji and so on.. but wwx himself rarely punished them and somehow the juniors came to the conclusion that he must give out the worst punishment

this was just a small scene from a long fic. not even related to plot, i think this scene was towards the end. @mumblerovertmblr

6. For the next Fic Finder – I was looking for a fic to suggest for an ITMF request, but I can’t find it! It’s a modern AU, where LQR suggests a marriage between JYL and LWJ (after a scandal with JGS comes to light, making JZX a bad option even though JYL still wants to marry him). But LWJ and WWX are already secretly dating, so WWX chaperones JYL and LWJ on a “date” where they finally tell her they are together, and then go about telling the rest of their family through the rest of the fic. @eorlgreylady

FOUND! I think 6 is A Sequence of coming out by kippalittlefox, but it seems to be deleted.

7. What I remember from it is that WWX was in the bath before some people broke into the jingshi and held him hostage when LWJ got back. He had a string to his throat, or a knife not fully sure. After the guys that broke in were killed and it was like the next day, JC came by and the three of them started talking in the middle of CR so that the others would know that LWJ killed the men because they tried to kill his husband and if they wanted to see the scar left across WWX's throat.

This part was at the end of it, but I don't remember it being long. Don't really remember honestly

I remember there is a chapter wherein before dying (due to canon stuff), wwx confessed to lwj that they had a child together. Then wwx died and I think they search for for the child (I forgot who saw the child but I sure it is either lxc or lwj)

i remember a lot but these are the important bits: modern au, wwx & lwj used to be classmates, nhs finally convinced wwx to confess his feelings for lwj, and when he did (in public, blurting out loud cause he was VERY nervous), lwj thought it was a prank, got angry and rejected wwx. wwx was devastated, nhs felt guilty, planned to drink & then met wen xu. wwx and wen xu get together, but wwx ran away (?) with wx. he was actually in an abusive & manipulative relationship with wx. then wwx adopts wen yuan and he fled with wy. years later, wwx owns a cafe, wy is a teen and they accidentally meet lwj again at the cafe. the junior ensemble is there, things happen and wx finds wwx but there is a happy ending.

i have TRIED looking for it myself but to no avail. (This part added to an itmf)

I’m trying to find a modern AU fic where the Lans still run a school, and in the backstory, WWX did something, got expelled over it (can’t remember why, it’s either punching JZX or messing with LWJ) and after being sent home, Madam Yu disowned him and threw him out of the house. There was also a mention that LQR was horrified, because the other times he expelled someone, they simply petitioned to be readmitted to the school and he was expecting that to happen with WWX.

Unfortunately that’s all I remember. Any ideas help!

He’s never seen snow until he goes to the Cloud Recesses. He knows it’s on the mountains and has heard that it’s cold.

he’s never seen it falling, or touched it. He makes demonic snow angels by accident, because he’s just rolling around in it like a dog.

Wei Ying thinks he’s the first person to make snow people and throw snowballs. Lan Zhan joins in when Wei Ying asks, he doesn’t correct him about inventing them and let’s him tell everyone he’s the inventor of snow people.

Lan Zhan just watches as Wei Ying pelts the juniors with snow balls. When they shout to Lan Zhan for help. He tells them it’s combat training.

sorry guys i got so tired suddenly (i've been running on very little sleep) and i ended up napping before i finished the sketches

BUT once i finish sleeping (cuz i am still in dire need of more sleep rn my head is killing me) i will finish working on them. i did get it ready to go in clip but i still wanna line/color one of the smaller things for reference and of course edit everything to be more easily seen how i usually do, and maybe even clean them up as well i'm not sure since my brain is just not doing so hot rn

as a reminder: these sketches imma show are for angel wwx from my short fic i want to finish writing called IMBSB, or "In My Blood, Stardust Blooms" that like COI, is about the afterlife but centered on angels instead and not meant to be very long. [though who knows if i might ever write more one shots for it or make it one or three chapters long, but for now, it's just a one-and-done type project i'm planning]. more below the cut with extra art!

“In My Blood, Stardust Blooms” / IMBSB is a short project that not unlike COI is about the afterlife, but centered on angels this time. It delves into the mysteries of a forbidden land and loss, and of course a particular couple of angel’s love for each other. I have only done one bit of art for this project [LWJ looks the same for the most part as he does in COI however] even though I have started writing, which you can find on Reddit here and Tumblr here.

of course this doesn't count the art that i will be posting a little later!

Also, just as a detail i wanna mention: this will not be a completely happy fic, it will have a happy-ish ending, but i did come up with parallels to canon for this story! so if you think it'll be boring, i hope you won't think so now haha but of course i'm hoping for a lot of gay so it will have the best of both !

Here's the LWJ (me) being thirsty over WWX fic I've been wanting to write all day and have been enabled to do by @sasumimo <3

Today, Lan Wangji has woken up in a mood. What mood?

Guess. It starts with an "h".

Now you might be wondering - isn't he always like that? And the answer is yes, he is, but today it's even more so than usual, and that's saying something.

There isn't even a particular reason. He just woke up at 5 on the dot, like he always does, turned to look at his sleeping husband Wei Ying and had the same realization he has every morning - Wei Ying is alive, in his bed, naked, beautiful and married to him. For some reason, that realization hit so much harder today.

Wei Ying has always been beautiful, even if only just by virtue of being Wei Ying - but his features have always been objectively beautiful even without the added layer of Lan Wangji's adoration.

And now that Mo Xuanyu's body has become more Wei Ying's than ever before, his appearance shifting closer to that of the soul inhabiting it, Lan Wangji can't help but be attracted to him. That's a given, of course, since they're married and also very sexually active - but to be absolutely blunt, Wei Ying has been getting hotter by the day and Lan Wangji feels himself flashback to his teenage years when his beloved's beauty haunted his dreams and his fantasies every night.

Lan Wangji likes to take the time and appreciate what he has every now and then - and today he wants to do so thoroughly. And if he's a little late to his duties today, let the elders dare say something about it.

Wei Ying sighs, wistfully, in his sleep, his lips slightly parted to let the breath out. They're pink and plush and Lan Wangji knows from first hand experience how soft, inviting and insatiable they can be. And how very teasing and skilled.

Wei Ying's nose scrunches slightly at whatever he is dreaming, and Lan Wangji almost moves to kiss the very tip of it. But he knows Wei Ying doesn't like to be woken up so early, even with affection, so he tallies the kiss for later and continues his bout of admiration.

Wei Ying's long lashes nearly brush the tips of his soft cheeks, pulled over his stormy eyes in a serene expression. He looks angelic like this, nestled in white sheets like he is sleeping on the softest cloud in the sky.

His hair falls around him like a veil, the long strands hiding the naked skin of his back where Lan Wangji has bitten his love into so many times last night. The training he has been doing has already started to pay off, muscle rippling underneath the skin as Wei Ying turns on his other side, the blanket riding down to expose even more skin.

Lan Wangji's eyes inevitably draw along his spine, where his body narrows into his thin waist that still carries the finger-shapes bruises of Lan Wangji's hold, a dip like a valley between his torso and his hips.

Either way, Lan Wangji is trying so hard not to embarrass himself in front of his class right now. But Wen Ning and Wei Ying begin sparring after a short conversation and Lan Wangji doesn't know if the display makes him more jealous or aroused. His husband moves so nimbly, so confidently, and he's so powerful even if he has yet to reach the prime of his first life - Lan Wangji doesn't want to be Suibian anymore, he wants to be Wen Ning and get to fight Wei Ying, strategically let him close in the distance between them and pretend to lose his footing and ask to surrender... beg for mercy even...

One of the Lan juniors turns towards Jingyi, who pointedly refuses to look at either of their seniors, a pink blush on his cheeks.

"Should we tell Hanguang-Jun class is over?"

"You tell him."

"Why don't you tell him? What's wrong with him?"

"You don't wanna know."

When Lan Wangji doesn't find Wei Ying in the jingshi at the end of the day, his first thought is panic.

His second, the cold springs.

He does remember Wei Ying telling him he will be doing some intensive training today and will need to heal and balance his body after - and what better place to do that than the cold springs.

So, Lan Wangji goes to find him.

And find him he does.

He's submerge underneath the little waterfall that supplies the cold springs, hair curtaining his body as he meditates, water running down the contours of his body like silver rivulets.

Lan Wangji decides he's going to be a voyeur for a little longer, he's going to award himself the pleasure of watching the water drip down Wei Ying's body, shining onto his skin, and he's going to allow himself to fantasize about his hands trailing down the same pathway.

He's going to imagine himself joining his husband in the water, and pressing himself close to Wei Ying under a pathetic guise of seeking warmth... and he's going to find that warmth all over and inside Wei Ying for hours, with only the water as their witnes...

"Hanguang-Jun." Wei Ying's teasing voice comes and Lan Wangji nearly jumps out of skin at the sound. "It is improper to stare when somebody is bathing." And his eyes open, a mischevous glint in the grey pupils. "You either leave, or join in."

Wei Ying swims to the edge of the spring that's closest to Lan Wangji. "And by the looks of it, you've been wanting to join me for a while."

Lan Wangji's ears burn, caught red-handed, but he doesn't deny, proceeding to discard of his many layers of robes.

"I was wondering when you'd break." Wei Ying smiles, dark and seductive and Lan Wangji wonders if he'd regret not undressing properly if he jumped Wei Ying in the water right now. "I know you've been... admiring me all day, undressing me with your eyes... I'm going to catch a cold if you do that so often, you know? Exposure is no joke."

Lan Wangji reaches to undo his forehead ribbon.

"Leave that on." Wei Ying nearly purrs as he puts some more distance between them, taking his place beneath the waterfall. "You'll need something to catch this siren with, won't you?"

Early next Saturday morning, the brothers were at work in the bakery, enjoying the calm, quiet time together after a busy week. Lan Zhan was focused on shaping long ears out of pink dough and placing them on his rabbit-shaped buns, a Saturday only special that was very popular with children.

In the back of his mind, he was running through a new melody that had come to him. He also hadn’t been able to get the young man from last week out of his thoughts, remembering his restlessness, how he talked too much, and his bright blazing smile. Lan Zhan did not receive smiles like that very often unless it was to flatter him, or chat him up, both of which he detested. He had honed his cold stare put-down into an art form. But that man’s smiles had been charming and natural, not at all calculated and false.

Lan Zhan resumed his work in the kitchen, pointedly ignoring Lan Xichen’s amused glances. Casual conversation was difficult for him, but Wei Ying didn’t seem to mind his silences. That man could talk enough for both of them in any case, he mused. Sometime later, he heard Wei Ying call, “your payment is on the counter,” and then the bell as he departed.

Left behind was a delicate sketch of two rabbits with angel wings. He picked it up and smiled. Then he noticed that there was something on the back as well.

Written in a messy scrawl was:

A tray being placed onto the table in front of him startled Wei Ying’s attention away from his phone. He looked up with a smile before seeing what the man had brought him.

“You will have tea,” the man said in a low deep voice that brooked no argument.

By the time that had filtered into his brain the guy had already walked away and disappeared out the back. Wei Ying looked down. No coffee, but there was a blue teapot with a small matching cup and a plate with a steam bun on it. Wei Ying blinked stupidly at it for a few moments before deciding it wasn’t worth arguing with the scarily intense man over it, and reached for the bun. It looked so inviting, and it was still warm. Biting into it Wei Ying then realised just how hungry he was, and within seconds the bun had been devoured. It was the best thing he had ever tasted.

A sleep deprived Wei Ying stumbles into a tea shop, meets an impossibly beautiful man, and is served a cup of tea that changes his life in more ways than he could have possibly expected.

Just imagine the crossover of modao and the supernatural

Wei Wuxian's parents die while hunting and their friend takes him in. Jiang Fengmian and his wife Yu Ziyuan raise little Wuxian with their son Jiang Chen, teaching them how to hunt and kill monsters. Yu Ziyuan is from a family of hunters, and Jiang Fengmian is from an enlightened family. Having matured, Jiang Chen and Wei Wuxian begin to hunt on their own and one day, returning home, they find only the dead bodies of their parents. Their sister Jiang Yangli is currently helping her grandparents at Meishan Yu's bar, as no one wanted her to be a huntress. The brothers begin their hunt for monsters trying to track down the killers of their parents. As a result of the investigation, they learn that the killer was the special children of the yellow-eyed demon Wen Ruohao, Wen Chao and Wang Lingjiao. They try to kill them, but only find out that Jiang Chen must also be Wen Ruohan's child, since he has his blood in him. They also meet other special children, Wen Qing, who can heal, and her regular brother, Wen Ning. In the end, Jiang Chen dies at the hands of Wen Zhuliu, a demon subordinate to Wen Ruohan, who ripped out his heart. Wei Ying makes a deal with the demon and resurrects his brother, and he himself remains for a year in the world of the living, and after that the hellish dogs take him to hell. He is resurrected by heaven and now the angel Lan Wangji joins the company of the brothers, who does not understand people at all and now walks next to the brothers with his stone face.
