☆ — 'nobody fucking cares about you' prompts. by @ricesinspo, credit is appreciated!

that one trope where the whole friend group leaves the main character behind during a dramatic scene except they don't come back and make up.
"where were you, when i needed you the most?"
"so you're just going to throw me away like that, huh? like i don't mean anything? is that all i am to you?"
something about not deserving friends (esp if said by authority figure,, or the friend ,,,)
^ "of course no one likes you. not with a (personality? / insert 'unlikeable' thing) like that / not when you (do things? ...)."
"you left me." "and i'm glad i did."
thinking you still matter to them; foolishly believing you have a place in their life.
when nobody can handle you at your worst.
"what... are we?" "well i know what i am, what are you?"
cries nobody wants to hear, pleas for help that will never be answered.
— ☆ —
title may not be entirely accurate, i just really like it ok :_) a lot of the dialogue ones aren't meant to be taken as literally what the characters say, it's just to give a general idea of the vibe.

The lewd noises that were coming from your bedroom should have come as a warning to anyone who thought making a deal with an incubus when they were horny was a good idea.
Jongho’s fingers effortlessly fucked your pussy, three fingers deep now, considering how wet and fucked out you were. There was white noise playing in your brain at this point. All you could focus on was the pleasure that was emanating from your lower half. You were practically a full course meal for Jongho right now. And he hadn't even made you come yet.
“Look at your pussy taking these fingers like it’s nothing,” Jongho purred into your ear.
You shook your head, panting. Jongho took his free hand and turned your head towards the mirror that typically you used to see if your outfit worked for that day. Instead, it was being used against you. Jongho had your legs spread, his body framing yours, and wanted you to watch how much you were an eager little slut for him.
“Look,” He insisted.
Your chest was heaving, your pussy juices were pouring from your legs like a goddamn hentai film, and your expression was so fucked out, you almost didn’t recognize your own damn self. You whimpered and attempted to move your head again.
Jongho wasn’t having it. He kept a firm hold of your chin, fingers thrusting into your poor, sopping cunt. “You’re being such a good little morsel for me,” He continued to praise you, in his own way. “The sexual energy radiating off of you could feed me for weeks.”
“Jongho,” You squirmed, looking for him to speed up the pace.
Jongho chuckled darkly. “It’s only going to be more of a disappointment if I take you there, only to take it away.”
“Fuck me harder,” You whined anyway. You wanted release even though in the back of your mind you knew Jongho was going to milk this for as long as he could before your mind broke from never climaxing.
Your cute little ruffled collar and thigh highs only made the picture more perfect. “Such a good little sex slave for me, hmmm?” He nosed the skin behind your ear endearingly. “You look good enough to eat.”
You dry-sobbed at the thought of Jongho eating you out. You knew that wasn’t going to happen, he wanted to monitor you more closely, to see what the edges of your limits were. It was important, the first time feeding from a mortal, that he see just how far they could go.
“Harder!” You urged with a tilt of your hips. “Faster!”
“It’s funny that you think you’ll get what you want by demanding it,” Jongho drawled.
He immediately withdrew his fingers, only to slap your pussy. It didn’t matter; even that stimulation had you crying out. It was better than the same pace Jongho had been fucking you with. The slap was a sharp jolt that felt so good against your swollen clit that you gasped in happiness. Jongho frowned. Giving you that sudden pleasure had not been his intention, he had meant it to punish you.
“More!” You begged, wriggling your ass against the constant hard-on pressed up against you.
Jongho slapped you again and your lower half almost came off the bed, it felt so good to you. His frown deepened. “What kind of line have you crossed over where pain is pleasure for you now?”
“Jongho,” You pleaded, “I wanna come!”
When Jongho slipped two fingers into you, crooking them in a come-hither motion to touch your g spot, you cried out. The pads of his fingers began to tap tap tap against the spongy surface there but at a rate that wasn’t going to get you anywhere any time soon.
“Jong-ho!” You said his name in two deliberate syllables.
Jongho had had enough with your demands. He had warned you and now he was going to show you what happened to little morsels of food that offered themselves up and didn’t play by his rules. He began to jackhammer those two fingers into your hole. He stuck his other fingers in your mouth to shut you up. Your tongue swirled around the fingers in your mouth, desperate for any stimulation that you could receive. Your orgasm went from a steady line to a sharp incline. Your heart soared in hope as your climax built as Jongho’s fingers pounded into you mercilessly.
“Yes, yes, yes!” You chanted around his fingers, the whine in your voice emulating the anticipation you felt for finally experiencing your climax.
And then it was all taken away from you as Jongho removed the fingers from your cunt and your mouth.
That was when the tears started to pour down your cheeks in disappointment. You sobbed his name, bottom lip trembling and thighs shaking as you came down from the almost-high. You were a strong girl, Jongho knew that. You were stubborn and persistent. If you were crying, this was your limit.
“There, there,” Jongho cooed. He captured your tears with the backs of his fingers and drank them down as well. “You’ve done so well for me. Don’t you feel good knowing that you fed me so much, I’m practically bursting with nourishment?”
Your sharp takes of breath slowed down as your sobs began to die. “Really?”
“Course!” Jongho reassured you. His gummy smile was reflected in the mirror in front of you.
“Will you stuff me with your cock now?” You asked, hiccuping softly.
Jongho pushed your hair behind your ear, to whisper into the shell of it. “I’m full now, might as well fill you up too.”
You shivered delicately. Finally, you were going to get what you wanted.

Doctor Who: Redacted
So, more than a year after the release of this audio series, I've decided to give it a go. I've listened to the trailer and so far it's great! I'll give each episode a review and publish it all when I'll have listened to the whole piece.
If you don't wanna get spoiled, you might want to skip the ep by ep review straight to the end of the post to read my overall opinion on the series.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Episode One: SOS
The episodes are pretty short, so I felt like this one went very quickly. Nothing much happens however there's already so much mystery and interrogations, I'm already hooked! There's also quite an important amount of background development for at least one the main characters. I find it really easy to like them from this first episode only since they are written and acted so naturally. I already love Cleo, whom I guess is the main character. Shawna and Abby are just a lovely little funny duet that works really well, and oh my god, Shawna's clearly in love with Abby, I can't wait to hear more about that.
I liked that L.I.N.D.A. was mentioned since the setting is really similar to this iconic story and it kind of makes it canon that the L.I.N.D.A. organisation survived the Love and Monsters events.
Also, oh my my my, I LOVE Rani I can't wait to hear more of her in the next episodes, I didn't know she was in this!
Episode 2: Hysteria
Oh this one was great as well! Certainly not as good as the first one in terms of character work, but there's a lot happening!
The references to the previous events from the TV show are great but also so frightening because you can really see the consequences of these events on the lives of the direct witnesses. I guess the two characters we met so far are the ones we see in the actual episodes (that journalist girl in Partners in Crime and that doctor who gets interviewed at the end of Smith and Jones). The latter one's story is pretty sad, I wish I could have given him a hug :(
Can't wait to hear the next one!
Episode 3: Lost
Oooooh some answers! But more questions...
It's really getting a lot more mysterious and I'm completely involved in the plot!
I don't have much more to say at this point, let's see what Episode 4 brings!
Episode 4: Angels
Yay! A whole episode referencing Blink! The return of Larry! With clothes hopefully this time!
Apparently he's not married to Sally, as the end of Blink pointed towards a romance between the two characters, but that's fine.
He said the Doctor's turning against them. What does it meeeaaaaan???
It's great to have the girls altogether in one place, even though now they seem to be in a bad position... I'm turning on the next one right away, I need to know what happens next!
Episode 5: Interrogation
I'm glad it was just UNIT because now we got to have Kate again and that is GREAT!
Also, Cleo is such a badass, she slayed this whole episode.
The tension kept going up throughout every interrogation until the climax, and just when you thought the episode couldn't be more interesting than it already was, this enigmatic guy comes in and makes Cleo speak out her bad bitch speech.
Episode 6: Recruits
A lot happens in there! Finally the Doctor appears briefly, the team is arguing, what is going ON???
The soft reveal about Cleo's father means he met the Doctor, maybe he's someone we know from the show, or a victim of one of the events from the show.
Too many questions!
Can't wait for episode 7!
Episode 7: Requiem
Oh the Doctor's finally back.
So much happens but at the same time so little does. There's only three episodes left, we've barely heard the Doctor, we have no answers...
I don't know if it gets me hooked or frustrated but I need more! All I know is that time flies by when I'm listening to this, the dialogues are superb, amazing writing and direction. It kind of makes me want to read Dawson's books!
Episode 8: Ghosts
This one was proper scary! So Requiem was Madam Vastra? I'm kind of sad they couldn't get Neve McIntosh to come back for the part but it helped not spoiling the reveal to me so that's a win I guess.
I know that there's a second series but I kind of hope the story gets wrapped up by the end of this one so that it makes a whole. We'll see!
Episode 9: Rescue
WE KNOW MORE
Actually we don't know a lot but we do know more. It's great!
I was NOT expecting Cleo to be Redacted and it's really an interesting twist that may give the finale a lot of work to do.
I can't wait to here about it!
Episode 10: Salvation
Oh the finale was so good, I didn't expect such a satisfying ending.
Cleo not joining the Tardis makes a lot of sense because she has a lot to deal with at home, she has to reconnect with her mother and learn to forgive her and herself for what they did to each other, it's not an adequate moment to fly off in the universe.
I'm glad I could finally hear 13 a bit more, and she was as great as always.
Abby and Shawna!!!!!!!!! Finally!!!!!! I wasn't sure their relationship was going to end up this way so I'm happy for them!
Great end, I love it!

Fanart by @dykepaldi
How lucky were we to have this last year! And to think I only caught up with this now! It's a wonderful piece of free media from the Whoniverse in a very well known format for the fans, but directed in such a fresh brilliant modern way! It's important to mention how important this piece is to the LGBTQIA+ community, because the main director and producer, the main writer and the members of the main cast are all part of our community. I, as a cis gay man, am not represented (I think) in this play, but it was still so emotional to me to see such bold and open trans and sapphic representation. I love that for our community and in hard times like these, it's great to be reminded that safe spaces exist. And if like for me, your safe space is just anything Doctor Who related, you know that despite the bigotry you may find around you, Doctor Who is there and cares about you.
Storywise, it's clearly written by fans, for fans, and they meddle, they play with the TV show's events, I love it, I absolutely adore it. Some parts of the story feel more hard-hitting than others do, but the overall arc is just brilliant.
It's a timing coincidence that I started listening to this less than a week before the release of the second series but honestly I'm not sure if I'll give it a go considering how Ella Watts was kicked out of the production without a word and being replaced by James Goss (whom I love) who certainly does not have a hard time finding his voice in the Whoniverse. I don't understand this decision and I'm really disappointed. Watts apparently responded with class and dignity but I'll have to say that the BBC are kind of backstabbing her after she created the whole project that was so successful in the end. Just... not cool...
I like Goss' works so maybe I'll listen to it some day, but I think I need to process the info first.
To end on a much more positive note: listen to this. You need no knowledge of any other spin off or eu stuff, and it's free on the BBC app worldwide. You're in for a great time if you haven't listened to it already.

Despair Time: The Meaning of “Thematic Significance”
//Hey everyone, Mod Bubbles here again.
//Now, I’m not going to pretend like you haven’t heard me talk about Despair Time over and over at this point, as people often ask me my thoughts or challenge me on my personal theories. I still stand by much of what I’ve said, as I don’t feel the counter-arguments people have presented, while sound in many ways, are particularly strong and also rely on plenty of assumptions.
//I’m not here to talk about any of that.
//Instead, I want to talk about something else. I recently got another ask about DT, and this one wasn’t a theory question, but an entirely different one. One that actually got me thinking as soon as I read it:
Tumblr media
//I’ll be the first to say, no, I didn’t write DT. I’m not part of the writing team and I don’t know any of the people involved. If I was, I doubt I’d be pushing any of my theories as hard as I have. Instead, this ask got me thinking about a recurring exception people have taken to my theories and I think I know exactly why.
//I don’t think I’ve properly explained what exactly I mean when I talk about themes and messages. Which is a pretty big oversight, given how much I’ve brought it up.
//I don’t blame anyone for that. After all, as impassioned as fans of any work can be, not everyone is a writer, nor are they as intimately familiar with the mechanics of writing as someone who’s spent well over a decade working toward becoming one.
//But as with many fields with multiple sub-topics to cover, and no one right way to do them all, I also don’t claim to be an expert. I’m just someone who has a passion for this stuff, and it’s what forms the cruxes of my theories. That’s what I want to share with you now, and to hopefully clear up some misunderstandings.
(Just so you know, this has been in the works for a while and I’ve already covered the points I’ve made here at some points before, but I’m sticking with what I’ve written so far.)
//There is a very common stance on writing that anything can happen. That you, as a creator, have infinite freedom to create. This is true in many aspects when it comes to creating a fictional setting and populating it with characters, but you also need to understand another important thing about writing: its limitations.
//Now, I don’t mean limitations on creativity. I mean things like themes, narratives, plot structure, the very bones of a story. These can often be changed and distorted in different and creative ways depending on the work, but you can only bend them so far before they break, and the story breaks with them.
//For example, why is it that when a protagonist dies, it’s often either very early on in the story, or at the climax? You could potentially have it work if they died at the halfway point and another took over, sure. But would it make sense for them to die 23% of the way into the story? 62%? No, because these simply don’t work.
Tumblr media
//Take the classic Three-Act Structure. You can see the points at which the story rises and falls between different events, steadily building before arriving at a major moment and then diving back down into another. Of course, this doesn’t apply well to Danganronpa.
Tumblr media
//DR has more in line with the five-act structure (technically six, but same logic), which takes all of this and moves it across a wider series of events. Now, you’d be forgiven for looking at this graph and thinking that Act 3′s need to be the climax or turning point, when it can really happen at any point between 3, 4 and 5. As I said, things can be bent in new ways.
//This is where I feel much of the logic for the counter-arguments to my theories comes from, how the story is building up to a turning point in Chapter 3, which means she’s more likely to double down in Chapter 2 in regards to not trusting people.
//if I were looking it purely objectively on a graph like this, I’d understand. But I have to disagree for the reasons I keep bringing up: themes.
___________________________________________________
//In its most basic form, a theme can be thought of as the underlying meaning of a story. What exactly is this piece of art trying to tell us and why? Some are much more overt than others, and DR is definitely in that category regarding its continuous and very unsubtle themes of hope and despair.
//DT, on the other hand, takes the approach and discusses the themes of trust and distrust. These are evident as early as the prologue, where Teruko asks Xander a simple question:
Tumblr media
//Now, this is already a huge departure from the canon games, and this moment sets Teruko apart from people like Makoto, Kaede, Shuichi, Komaru, and even Hajime. Whereas most protags would be the ones keeping everyone together or directing their anger at the mastermind, Teruko already feels a sense of doubt against everyone else.
//And as we later learn, this is not for no reason. Yet at the same time, she reels back on that comment when Xander seems uncomfortable.
Tumblr media
//Yet he actually agrees with her, up to a point:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
//The prologue cements the core theme in here, and Chapter 1 goes a step further and shows us how that sense of trust can go wrong.
//Teruko, who’d spent the chapter hanging out with people she considered friends- especially Xander and Min- gets betrayed hardcore by both of them. Xander is pushed into stabbing Teruko thanks to a mysterious note he received, and his own belief that it was the right call, and Min’s decision to try and frame her for Xander’s accidental death.
//All of this, combined with the group’s unwillingness to even hear her out at first and instead forcing her to defend herself on her own, drives Teruko to give up on trusting people entirely. Come Chapter 2, we see her sticking to that.
//Chapter 1 of DT is very much an exploration of how having too much trust in others can backfire significantly. Does that mean that Chapter 2 would see more doubling down on that? Not necessarily.
//A common mistake made by both amateur writers and some readers is the idea that, because a viewpoint is held by the protagonist, that means it’s the correct one. This is called Protagonist-Centered Morality, and it’s why you get a lot of bad stories where the protag gets away with doing hypocritical things because they’re the hero.
//Now, it can be easy to fall into that with Teruko, who I’ve seen many describe as the most realistic and grounded protag because she understand the situation. Of course, we as the audience know that no amount of trusting and hoping is going to just make the killing game stop two chapters in, but the characters don’t know that.
//There’s also a common view held by many in the DR fandom that characters can be preemptively judged based entirely on their behavior; in particular how people like Eden in DT or Shion in Heartless Deceit are often slapped with the villain card. That being kind and optimistic makes them naive at best or secretly evil at worse.
//I don’t like these sorts of theories because they aren’t based on actual in-universe foreshadowing or hinting. Instead, it feels more like metagaming; using previous experiences with these archetypes and basing your expectations on that, rather than what’s actually in the text.
//When you focus so much on the meta aspects of these fangans, especially ones that aren’t adhering to the regular DR formula, it can really undermine the experiences. With this sort of narrative metagaming, you’re not engaged with the work itself, but the tropes of the series you’re more familiar with.
//Not to mention it feels a bit disrespectful to assume all DR writers are drawing from the exact same idea book.
//We are, but we can explore those ideas in new ways, and that doesn’t always equate to “optimistic character dies/is evil.” I bring all of this up because Chapter 2 is a good source of another important piece of writing: contrast.
_______________________________________________________
//You may have heard a bit of writing advice that says you need to raise the stakes to keep an audience engaged. This is wrong for many reasons, and instead it’s more accurate to say that a story shouldn’t repeat itself too often to keep people engaged. Indeed, many people find grounded stories about characters overcoming emotional issues more compelling than plots about saving the world.
//One of the best ways to avoid repetition is to provide different challenges to your characters. Bigger threats are one option, but there’s also new and unfamiliar situations, which is where I think we’re going with this chapter.
//DT’s first chapter showed us the story of Teruko waking up, meeting a group of her peers, getting to know them, and despite the danger of their situation, offering them a sense of trust...right before all of it is shattered by Xander’s and Min’s actions. That leaves her in a very different position from when she began, now deciding not to trust anyone.
//I don’t believe Chapter 2 is doubling down because so much of it has been devoted to the exact opposite. Many of the characters have been tearing into Teruko for her unwillingness to trust, particularly how she pulls a knife on Charles and J, and how she isolates herself to the point of playing with cacti to stave off boredom.
//To put it another way that might make a bit more sense, have you ever noticed that plans, like heists or military operations, are more likely to succeed when we see less of them? When you get the full details of a plan, it seems more likely to fail in some ways when they put it into action. When you don’t, you get big dramatic reveals of how the plan actually works.
//The reason for that is simple: if you have the plan shown in full once, and it plays out exactly as described, you may as well have either not shown one of them or have them happening concurrently. Otherwise, you’re just repeating yourself unnecessarily.
//Likewise, the more a point is brought up, discussed or challenged in a story or storyline, and the more the protagonist adheres to it, the more likely it is that they’re going to either dismiss that thought by the end or see it in a new perspective. This is especially true if the point is being directly challenged at first, then seemingly not.
//I talk about Eden a lot in this regard as well, because her scene is really the big one that seals this for me. I’ve seen people talk about her optimistic attitude as being naive at best or a sign of villainy at worse, and that’s a take that actually appears in the story with Arei.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
//And then she immediately turns that around and admits that, no, she doesn’t believe any of that. In fact, she wants to be like Eden.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
//It still hurts to see her like this, just fyi ^^;
//But continuing on, a similar sort of situation occurs earlier with Teruko and Eden in the kitchen, where they talk about why Eden wants to be friends with her so much. Teruko admits that Eden’s the last person she wants to be friends with. Not because she doesn’t like her, but rather that it would hurt too much to lose her.
Tumblr media
//Teruko appreciates her kindness, but she also views Eden as naive. She’s under the impression that optimism could only come from a place of ignorance or childishness. The idea that these are things you’re supposed to grow out of, and that being a pessimistic cynic is the rational response to betrayal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
//And of course, Eden tells her how it REALLY is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
//Now, it might be easy to look at this and say “Okay, but you’re still in a killing game and people are gonna die, so why does it matter?”
//It matters because she gets through to Teruko with this speech, if only for a moment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
//Teruko has spent the first three episodes of this chapter pushing people away, threatening them, telling them they’re going to die and that trust is stupid. Yet when Eden tells her this, it makes her heart stir. To the point that she has to deny it to herself that she’s actually moved by her words.
//This is how I can pretty confidently say that Teruko doubling down on her cynicism is very unlikely. She’s also unlikely to dive right back into friendship, but this might be the first taste of compassion she’s had in a long time.
//And this is also why I say DT is not this grimdark edgefest that so many theorists seem to portray it as. The metagaming with character archetypes combined with a lot of assumptions and circumstantial evidence has already lead a lot of people to conclude Eden is the killer and that’s why Teruko will double down.
//None of that is substantiated by the actual character interactions and themes. If that were true, scenes like this would either not exist or they’d exist just to prove Eden wrong. Or, as I’ve seen much more frequently in grimdark stories, Eden would have been the first victim to cement that theme home right from the start.
//And more importantly, there are always the hidden quotes with these characters, whom I refer to many times for these sorts of theories. What’s Teruko’s?
Tumblr media
//Chapter 1 demonstrated how far her trust issues go, where two of her friends betrayed her in different ways, and she responded by trying to disconnect herself from the lives of everyone in the game. Yet Teruko cannot, and will never, be able to do that so long as this Killing Game is ongoing.
//In a killing game, either one person wins or one person loses, and Teruko needs to be on the winning side if she wants to live. She’s already made it clear she’d rather not kill or leave the site of the killing game, so that means she has to participate whether she wants to or not.
//And to participate, even from a purely self-interested perspective, she needs to be willing to trust people at their word in some respects. That, I think, can be the setup for a very interesting situation for this chapter.
//Now, you might say “Well, Bubbles, have you considered how many characters in DR aren’t who they say they are? Why are you so certain that Eden or even Teruko is being honest? What if there’s a twist reveal with them?”
//To which I say, yes, I have actually thought of that. In fact, we’ve already seen that with the fandom’s favorite motivational speaker, who is also a perfect example of what I’m talking about.
________________________________________________
//People really like David. A lot. To the point that it actually surprised the creator, who was convinced everyone would hate his guts after this chapter. And I will admit, I am one of those who do.
//I really hate David. A lot. I will, however, be as unbiased as I can in my examination of him, as he’s a perfect example of what I’m talking about.
//The thing about twist reveal characters is that their true nature is always hinted at and foreshadowed in some manner, either in the story or their FTEs (I’d prefer if it was in the story, but maybe that’s just me).
//You see it with characters like Toko, Mukuro, the whole of Class 77-B sans Chiaki, and Korekiyo. They’re not always satisfying, admittedly, but the signs are at least there.
//Super Danganronpa Another 2 is full of these for characters like the Voids and Kanade, who all have little moments here and there, be it in the main story or their FTEs, where they let their true personalities leak through before it’s revealed what they really are.
//Any good twist reveal benefits from foreshadowing, and David is no exception. In fact, seeing DT for the first time, I was already unwilling to trust him right from the get go.
Tumblr media
//He puts on this facade of an inspiring, upstanding dude. But as soon as he thinks he’s alone?
Tumblr media
//Now, you’d be forgiven for seeing this as a sign that David doesn’t like his title but still wants to help people. That maybe he doesn’t like dealing with people, but nevertheless has good intentions. After all, don’t his interactions with people like Xander and Arei show that?
//I’m sorry, but it’s quite the opposite.
//As we’ve since learned, David Chiem is a manipulative bastard. He not only doesn’t give a damn about other people, he’s an raging misanthrope who looks down on everyone else.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
//Not only that, he is actively cruel and malicious toward everyone in the game for no damn reason. Nobody ever actively bullied him, mocked him or did anything to make his life miserable. Yet he lashes out, calling people names, deliberately saying hateful and cruel remarks for no reason other than to hurt them.
//I’ve seen some people try to suggest that David actually does have good intentions, or that he’s doing this for a good cause.
//Pardon my French, but that’s complete bullshit. Here’s why:
//If David had good intentions, he wouldn’t have done any of what he did. He spent the better part of this chapter lying and making things up, from his supposed secret about a family history of depression to the idea that he got Xander’s secret in the trial.
//Unlike Eden, who wears her heart on her sleeve and has never shown a malicious bone in her body, David very clearly hates the people around him. Even before Episode 11, the cracks in his facade were always visible.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
//This is also not brushed away with the notion that he’s only like this because Xander died. That may have exacerbated things, but this is David. This is how he really is, fully exposed. He is filled with unmitigated anger and bitterness, and Xander would probably hate his guts if he saw him like this.
//The big reason why I see no good in his actions is because he doesn’t have anyone’s best interest in mind.
//Take Nico, for example. I’m not going to get into the discourse over it, but Nico’s secret is that they’re nonbinary and received absolutely no support for it their whole life. It’s clearly not something they want to talk about, yet David keeps trying to drag it out of them until they relent.
//Likewise, Hu doesn’t want to talk about her secret, yet David keeps trying to press her on it, but then gives up when she doesn’t seem receptive. Instead, they talk about some other secrets, like how Hu used to go by the name “Julia.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
//And what happens later in the trial?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
//This is evil. This is unquestionably malicious evil. David couldn’t get her to spill her secrets, so he goes out of his way to harm her with what he does know. How anyone can see this as anything less than evil is beyond me.
//But it also illustrates my point: if Eden is kind by choice, David is kind by motive. He doesn’t care about people, he care about what those people can do for him, and to him, kindness and inspiration is the best way to achieve that goal.
//The thing about manipulators is that they’re as superficial as they come. Their facade is only there to take advantage of trust, yet even when any sort of good graces are lost, they will still use what they know to try and turn things around. When they can’t do that, they just get aggressive and threaten people.
//If you want more proof, here are some lists to look up if you want:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
//I’ve looked over David’s actions and attitudes many times, and he dolls out love-bombing pretty frequently, especially with Xander. Everything on these lists, he’s done at some point.
//This isn’t about whether or not I think he’s the killer, but instead reinforces my point about the themes of DT. If Eden represents kindness through choice, and Charles and Arei represent the willingness to change for the better, David represents everything Teruko fears.
//It’s very interesting to look back and see that, when David reveals himself, Teruko isn’t nearly as shocked or appalled as the others. She’d already seen he was putting on a mask, so to her, thus must’ve just felt like a “told ya so” moment. She already expects the worst out of the others, so seeing this already reaffirms what she believes.
//What sense is there in having her double down from that point on?
_________________________________________________
//So, I hope that clears up some of the misunderstandings that may have come from my previous posts. When I talk about thematic significance, this is what I’m referring to. The actual driving ideas and intentions behind a story.
//This isn’t me complaining about elements of the story I don’t like, this isn’t me trying to rewrite it because I think I know better and this isn’t meant to be an insult to anyone who’s ever made a theory I’ve disagreed with. None of that is ever my intention.
//I admit I do find it a little hypocritical that people will accuse me of wanting to rewrite the entire story to fit my desires for it, when I’ve seen theories that do everything from frame characters like Eden and Hu as the villains for incredibly petty reasons, giving them motivations that make no sense for them as characters, to trying to suggest David is the real hero of this story. He’s not. He’s a villain, you guys.
//Putting that aside, all of this is just me hardcore analyzing the story based on the evidence that we’ve been given, and from careful contemplating of the story thus far. What’s my conclusion?
//Teruko is our protagonist, and she’s in a unique position as someone who has to be the one to learn the importance of trust and friendship. This story is her character journey, and while I do think it’s possible for her to double down at some point, I have my doubts that this entire story will be about her getting worse before she gets better.
//Likewise, Eden is our support, and she’s the one who embodies a genuinely optimistic hope, meant to invoke the same sort of role as Makoto or Chiaki, but in a bit more of a side role. If she weren’t meant to serve that role, she would either have died first in this game, and she’s either poised to face a similar fate as Chiaki or she’ll be a survivor. That’s my prediction, at least.
//I think this is what makes this a part of the Danganronpa fangan universe. The overarching nature of this series is about the better angels of our nature overcoming adversity, even in the face of overwhelming despair. If you have a fangan that doesn’t really do that, I greatly hesitate to even call it “Danganronpa.”
//That journey of overcoming adversity doesn’t always equate to perpetual upward momentum, and sometimes people will stumble or not survive the journey, but that doesn’t mean any of it was pointless. It becomes pointless when the story doesn’t offer any sort of character growth or any resolution beyond “Everything is awful, we should just lay down and die.”
//That’s not what Despair Time is, and this is why I emphasize that constantly. Teruko is not our typical protagonist and this isn’t our typical story, but even through a darker and more adversarial group, that doesn’t equate to a story that’s reinforcing those points, but is instead challenging them and showing why going too far in either direction will only lead to failure.
//I have a lot to say about Teruko in particular, but I’ll save those for a proper character analysis. For now, I hope this has cleared up my points about thematic relevance and made my theories make a bit more sense.
//And if you made it this far, thanks for reading!

Battle on the Sugoroku Board - God Won’t Roll The Dice 7
Tumblr media
(Location: “Battle on the Sugoroku Board” program set)
(After a short while.)
Rinne: GYAAAAAAAA! DIE DIE!
My roll is “2”........ This is risky!
Come on “1”! “1”!
UuOOOOo! There it is, the “1”! It’s my close win!
Haa, I’ve completely used up all my luck after winning three consecutive times~ I mean, why's Yuta’s smartphone’s left behind at a place like this?
I was certain that he'd be here but when I came, I fell into a trap.
If it wasn't this me who is loved by the goddess of competition, I’d have ended up going back to the cage again at this point.
Now then, that's enough of being against my expectations. Let's use the GPS one more…… oh?
Ibara: There’s no need for that. Rinne Amagi-shi.
Me and Yuuta-kun are both just looking to see if we could get that smartphone back.
Rinne: Oh, were ya’ hidin’ somewhere?
Here you are. You’ve dropped your smartphone y’see?
A kind Onii~san picked it up for you. He’ll be happy if you have a word of thanks or two♪
Yuuta: Hmph.
Rinne: Oi oi, he just snatched away the smartphone…… Are you a wild animal?
Yuuta: Don't get too familiar. You're not my Aniki.
Or rather, you just picked it up on your own, so can you not act so self important?
Rinne: Don't say something so cold~ Hina isn't here today. It's okay for you to think of me as an older brother and spoil me♪
Yuuta: ? Did you say something just now?
Rinne: I’m blatantly being ignored, huh……But that's the cute part!
Ibara: Ahem (clears throat). The both of you, keep your messing around to that area and keep yourselves hidden. I need to plan my next strategy.
Did you hear the on-set announcement a short while ago? A number of idols have dropped out.
Now that they're in the ‘State of Surrender’, there should not be more than 10 survivors.
Which means that the “Battle on the Sugoroku Board” is at its climax— a strategy towards the final phase has become necessary.
Though I can't say that I’ve stockpiled much gold or items so far.
Fortunately, due to Rinne Amagi-shi defeating three enemy players, we have a little leeway.
Let’s eradicate the remaining enemies using these equipment.
About the allocation of gold and items—
Natsume: CaN you include us in that discussion?
Tumblr media
Ibara: Whoa……. Natsume-kun, why are you here?
Madara: Me and Arashi-san are here tooo♪ The NewDi Team’s come all together to see you.
Rinne: But why is a “Dice Battle” not happening? You guys are an enemy team aren’t ya?
Arashi: Ufufu. This is an item’s effect. When you use “Disappearing Mantle”, you can prevent a “Dice Battle” from happening for a while ♪
Rinne: “Disappearing Mantle”? That sorta stuff exist?
Yuuta: It was available at the store. We didn’t have any money at all at the time so we couldn’t buy it…….
But why did you go through the trouble of coming to see us? CosPro Team and NewDi team are mutual enemies competing for the overall victory, right?
It’s hard to imagine you coming to see how we’re doing when there is no merit in doing so.
Arashi: That’s because we've come to negotiate with the CosPro Team.
Ibara: Negotiate?
Natsume: YeAH. I don’t know if you’ve noticed this as well, bUT us ES idols have been led into a tight contest bY someone.
Multiple teams encircled us to force us to drop out toO—
It seems that while he was iN the cage, Mikejima-senpai heard about the inner workings frOM other agencies’ idols.
The production team of “Battle on the Sugoroku Board” are tryinG to make the ES idols lose by  “staging.”
Tumblr media
Ibara: Hmm. So something like that is being talked about.
Rinne Amagi-shi, you were in the cage too. Did you know about those inner workings?
Rinne: Ah, it did have a peep in my ears. Just a little late in reporting about it.
Those people can’t help but resent ES idols, so at first they intended to defeat us and followed the outline laid out for them.
Listening to their story is a testament to my personal virtue! When I told them about how I’m being treated coldly by the agency, they opened up their hearts to me~♪
Yuuta: I feel like that’s just you reaping what you’ve sown.
Still, I feel like I get it. I get that feeling.
From the perspective of those idols, large agencies are certainly blessed. You get to be produced with plenty of budget, you’re made to appear on popular TV Programs…
They probably believed from the depth of their hearts that if they could be in that position, they would shine.
Arashi: That’s true, huh. A large portion of work revolves around ES, so it’s not strange for there to be people to be holding a grudge.
Yuuta: I understand the situation. But, why do we have to cooperate anyway?
Besides, it’s just one online show— isn’t it fine if the victory or defeat of the “Battle on the Sugoroku Board” is just whoever you want?
If anything, it’s not that big of a job, so isn’t it fine to just make them look good— (1)
Natsume: UnfortunateLY, that sort of thing can’t happEN.
Yuuta: Um?
Natsume: Think about iT. “NETV” haS already appointed a director with a stain on his reputation.
WhaT is the reason for inciting the spirit of antagonism in the weaker agency idols till they participate in “staging”?
It’s naturaL to think that there is a reason to purposely let an obscure idol win. For examplE, mayBE it’s more convenient for the management because they’re obscure……♪
Ibara: I see. Could it be……
They could be using the “Keynesian beauty contest.”(2)
Natsume: HeHE. It’s so helpfuL that you’ve got good judgement, Ibara-kun.
SincE we’re on the topic. The power needed for “staging” to happen. Shall I explain the mechanismS?
TL NOTE
Yuuta said ‘isn’t it fine to just bring them flowers’, which means to either make them look good or give them credit.
A “Keynesian beauty contest” is a concept developed by John Maynard Keynes to explain price fluctuations in equity markets. It was originally introduced in his 1936 work “General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money.” It describes a beauty contest scenario in which judges are rewarded for choosing the most popular face among all the judges, rather than the face they personally find most attractive. This equates to stocks in the sense that investors could profit more by buying stocks they think other investors will buy instead of those that fundamentally have the best value.

After chapter 108, I have a feeling that Nene will be the bridge that brings the twins together again. She already had insight that Tsukasa being a yorishiro means he’s extremely important to Hanako… and now Tsukasa has been telling his side to her, about how Hanako never answers his calls etc
They clearly care and love each other a great deal, but somehow are always just missing the mark with each other. I want to believe Nene will help them come together
ooo welcome to the team!! I think the entire structure of the manga indicates this being the central 'plot'. If we look at the bones.... we have
our protagonist, an outsider looking in, a girl falling in love with Hanako, who wishes to know about him.
our title character, who the story is 'really' about the tale of. A boy who doesn't like to talk about his past or his feelings, who has a mysterious and tantalizing history we, the reader, want to understand.
our 'antagonist' force or the one propelling the conflicts forward. The brother of the title character, a relic from his past which can talk. The only other person who knows everything (or almost everything).
Ever since Tsukasa's arrival, he's been responsible for nearly every single lore drop-- creating the rumors, leading her to the bookstacks, to Nowhere; showing up AT ALL forces Hanako to admit things to Nene-chan. We achingly want more Tsukasa, as he always comes with information and can give us hints. The smallest interaction with Amane implicates something of their bond, the thing that somehow made Hanako Hanako.
The prevailing mysteries keeping us hooked to JSHK are the twin's past. We want to know what happened, why Hanako is 'like this', how he 'got like this'. We'll never learn this quickly or all at once, because it IS the plot of JSHK. We are drip-fed information about it bit by bit, and everything learned contributes to some small part of it. We are experiencing what Nene-chan is-- the magical mystery, the presumptions and helplessness that all comes with loving Hanako. When we learn what we need to ... we'll need to figure out how to change it. Or maybe we'll learn those two things simultaneously (:
I believe wholeheartedly, as Nene-chan learns more and more about the twins, the more she will be bothered by the lack of closure and all that was left unsaid .... WEEEE know the twins are tragic, we know they were each other's world, for so long. Curing what has blackened Amane's heart will involve knowing Tsukasa... we need to understand why he killed him, what he was trying to do. The more we see what people-- Amane especially-- is capable of as a result of love, the better idea we have of how such an intimate bond could explode so brilliantly. Of all people, Nene-chan is coming to understand when and why Hanako becomes dangerous....
anyway this is also what Narisokonai Snow White is about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! made me feel insane should make everyone feel insane. A protagonist girl unraveling the complicated past of a pair of twins, who she MUST bring together, whos conflict she MUST resolve through her own insistence!!!! Because nobody else will ever know or care but her!!!!!!!! I think it's a very amazing way to tell a story!!!!! Even if I don't care about a specific character in JSHK, I am always interested because of how it will all, always, lead us back to the Yugi, thematically.
Nene-chan is so good at just getting frustrated with them lol... much like the biggest climax of Snow White where Neige just shouts at Estelio to go with her to help Rasphard (who is. about to commit suicide, whether Neige fully understands that or not...).... and finally just asks him if he hates his brother. By God do I hope we get Nene-chan directly asking Amane anything about Tsukasa ....
Nene-chan!!! She can help the Yugi!!!! With her, we can know what Amane really feels!!!!! ROMANCE-OBSESSED GIRL and HEARTSEEING BOY must pin dodgy Amane between them. Or maybe Amane and Nene-chan need to pin Tsukasa between them before he figures out how to disappear completely and utterly this time.

Ranking TWST Books from worst to best part 2!
Number 5: Book 5
While I do think the writing in Book 5 is leagues better than Book 2, it still very much had a lot of issues.
Once again the main character of the Book, Vil, is given very little focus. I’ve said this before, but it very much felt like Epel’s and Deuce’s story with those two having their own arcs reaching a beginning, middle, and an admittedly satisfying conclusion within the book. However, it leaves Vil’s whole story completely entirely unexplored with only getting small snippets into his psyche.
Here’s my hot take: Vil was not actually an asshole or some diva throughout the book. Yes he was strict, but as someone who did marching band with fellow annoying teenagers, it was a necessary strictness ahdsgs. Especially with so much money on the line. The exercise, the reasonable diets, it’s all a necessary and very common practice for a physical competition. To me, there was no actual buildup to his attempt at literally poisoning someone.
Mix that with the execution of his backstory being very shallow leaving a lot to have to be interpreted and you have a character who either is hard to sympathize with and/or one that can be easily villainized. I’ve met a lot of TWST fans who just outright strongly dislike him, and a part of it comes from the fact that Yana simply did not put in the effort at fleshing out his character in a way that can be sympathized, that should be sympathized as is the whole point of all the ‘villains’ of TWST. It’s not until the release of Book 6 does Vil become a more 3 dimensional character that he should have already been by the end of Book 5.
But because we spent too much time with a bunch of other characters, we don’t get that. Speaking of, another important part of the books is having the antagonists from the previous book come in and serve as protagonists in the next, which helps further develop their characters and be able to write them under a more heroic light.
Kalim and Jamil don’t really get that. There are hints of something bigger coming for not only the conclusion of their arcs but their “friendship” (and I use that term very lightly) as a whole. But we never actually reach the climax, just the conclusion. The supposed climax was during Vil’s overblot where they kinda work together along with the other SDC team members to stop Vil, but there is no actual connection to the previous buildup. Just a scene post boss battle where Jamil says Kalim basically doesn’t suck all that much and Kalim being overjoyed to hear that annnd that’s it.
Literally right after the book that touches their complex relationship, we don’t actually see the natural build up to them reaching mutual friendship status (which I’d argue shouldn’t happen until Jamil’s contract as a servant is terminated entirely. They literally can’t be equals unless that happens). In other words, Yana greatly fumbled the back of gold that she had from Book 4.
All of these problems would not have happened if they just stopped focusing on Epel as much as they did cause really Book 5 was Epel’s story. We focus a lot more on his struggle with his views on masculinity and the question of what it takes to be a man than we do with Vil’s struggle of idk playing the villain in movies all the time. Again there is something more interesting there with Vil’s whole thing, but the fact that you need to heavily read between the lines is just not good storytelling.
And then add Deuce’s struggles being thrown literally in the fucking middle and it’s ahhhh!
THE POINT IS! Book 5 suffers from a bloated cast and unfocused writing that leaves so much to be desired!

So when exsacly do you think penny will come back?
So I had two main ideas and moments for her to come back, but I still need to think more about it cause those are just first ideas :
Considering the fact that it was a long time between Volume 4 and Volume 7, Pietro had time to recover her core and rebuild her. So it took most likely 1 or 2 years to make her again. At the end of Volume 9, we see this shot of Vacuo with Amity Collosseum and a lot of ships from every kingdom in Remnant, implying a time skip, but we don't know how many months or even year have passed on Remnant. It surely must need time to take Amity, bring it to Vacuo and repair it, as well for the other Kingdoms to probably go to Atlas, see what happened and go to Vacuo with everyone else (unless somehow they learned about everyone being saved in Vacuo so they went there directly, idk).
I imagine this time skip would be of a few months, I'd say between 6 months and 1 year. Time is different in the Ever After and for the reunion for everyone to be emotional, I guess time must have passed for a bit so it's also impactful for Ren and Nora to reunite with Jaune, for Qrow to reunite with team RWBY, for Winter and the Schnee family to reunite with Weiss, etc. It's also probably be impactful for Ruby to see Winter with the Winter Maiden, and I imagine she won't be able to think about Penny if she sees her using her powers, anyway I digress-
Pietro is probably grieving and mourning Penny since the last time we saw him in Volume 8, and once settled in Vacuo he most likely at least tried to remake Penny. Considering that he needed 1 or 2 years for him to rebuild her, and with the time skip of let's say 1 year, he would be in the middle of the process if he's still trying to create another robot body. Sooo with all of that said, she could definitely come back during the Vacuo arc, I don't know if that would be in V10 cause narratively this would be a big deal, a big climax, and I don't know if that's too soon or too big for the first volume of the Vacuo arc (I mean, if we follow the rules established so far for each arc : 3 volumes per kingdom). Penny could then maybe come back at the end of Volume 12, to parallel the finale of V8, and also it's the same amont of time between V8 finale and V12 than the end of V3 and V7, 4 entiere volumes. I mean I just thought of it when writing it but it would make sense to me. I'm trying to keep a writer state of mind to be logical so my arguments seem valid aha (even if I'm not a pro writer krkr).
Tumblr media
My second idea is that she would come back at the end of the RWBY story, at the end of the series. Not necessarily at THE END end, but during the final arc or the final moments of the story. Why that, because I believe V9 plot wasn't just to explain cute little origins for the two Brothers and for Ruby's development, but of course to set up things for later and probably the big finale. Everything's still up in the air and the two Brothers will definitely be involved, as well as maybe the Blacksmith and the Ever After. I don't know how or when because this is big deal and obviously I'm not in the writers mind and I imagine they have ideas for this big end for a long time now, even if this is not precise of course. The most important thing is that the Blacksmith had Penny's sword (yeah I know that some say that it was just an illusion, but I still think it's odd, and again this weird "nothing, no one is ever truly lost" and then poof Penny appears on the sword, idk it just makes me feel like the Blacksmith knows something and might be involved later. The spirits from the Relic could also be involved too as they were created by the the two Brothers. Ambrosius could even meet Pietro at some point too :]
Anyway those are my main ideas, but I would be curious if anyone had other ideas !
Tumblr media
(I love the Blacksmith)

In nth life_, every character is going to go through a "deterioration" of sorts, where, as the story goes on and more things happen that point to the fact that it's not real, they become worse versions of themselves, riddled with fears and anxieties. For some characters, this process is gonna get cut off when they die, but the overall "deterioration" is still going to be present. Perhaps that's what's going to lead then to their deaths. I have written a few outlines for "arcs" that characters are gonna go through over the course of the story to act as a general direction to go when writing (IF I'm ever gonna get to that, lol)
Martyn is the first one to realize this is fiction, because he always acts as if he's in a story, but he realizes that it's actually *for real* this time, and not a game. He takes this as a grand finale, and attempts to go out with a bang.
Etho feels as though everything is repeating, like he's in a timeloop. He's not actually, but he sees patterns in everything that is happening with the previous seasons, and he's anxious about certain events repeating, so he tries to avoid them. They don't happen, but he's in constant anticipation of them, which exhausts him.
Pearl finds herself in brain fog more and more, feels like she's sleepwalking and not quite controlling her body. This comes in bursts, and she doesn't even realize when it happens until she looks back on things she's done and struggles to remember what she did or why.
BigB gets visions of the past, which with time blur his vision. He struggles to tell people apart, and soon he doesn't know who is who at all. He's convinced he sees the future, but sometimes he also sees the past, and he doesn't see the present at all. He can't coherently explain what he even sees.
Scar also always acts as though he's in a story. His life is a narrative; which means that, as long as he does things that are interesting and worthwhile to witness, he remains alive. Of course this also means that the climax will be him dying. He's prepared for that. Or is he?
Cleo is scared. She's always scared, she's used to it, she has her ways to cope with it. But she's helpless in the face of the narrative.
Joel swears he won't get attached this time, he won't be so reckless this time, he won't commit the same mistakes this time. But he does it again. He refuses to accept that his thoughts, words and actions weren't his this entire time. That he's not real. This compete lack of control breaks him and he breaks all his promises once again.
Bdubs just wants to put up a good show. For his playmates, as well as for anyone who might be watching.
Grian is in denial about being someone else's puppet. He tries to break free. To do unexpected things. To break the rules. Everything comes back around in the end. This is just a story, after all.
That's not everyone, of course. This leaves Ren, Scott, Jimmy, Impulse and Skizz. These individual storylines will also obviously be impacted by these people's relationships with other characters and teams, as well as the world around them. Their minds break down the lower they descend, the closer they are too the void, and consequently the end of the story. I have not decided who are going to be the last surviving group, how they're gonna act, or how it's gonna actually look when they do reach the void, and how they're going to "survive" it. I.e. i don't actually know how I would end this story. Maybe it's not at important as the journey :P

(neo twewy spoilers)
I love neo but I’m still unconvinced that a new day needed to happen for neo to exist tbh. it robs twewy of its perfect ending and spits in the face of it for the sake of sequel bait that isn’t even fully necessary. All it does is knock neku back in the UG, this time for 3 whole years (!??!?) and is there just to give neku a glorified cameo in neo while adding a bunch of baggage that his character didn’t need. Sure, if neku wasn’t brought to the UG again, it changes some things, but they’re really easy to write him out of imo. For one shibas motive for handing out player pins was to locate neku as a failsafe so he could eliminate the supposed strongest player in the UG so no one could possibly stop his plans, and ended up bringing in the wicked twisters by accident. If his goal was to eliminate the strongest possible players in general then neku wouldn’t be needed here (and they never did succeed in luring him out anyways.) also, Coco wanted neku by her side to help save shinjuku but that never amounted much to anything either. She already has sho, and I think they could’ve given their partnership/dynamic more screentime than they ended up having, and also having sho rejoin their team at the end would’ve tied a nice bow to that (or if they really wanted to add a different party member coco could’ve joined since they share the same goal and it would’ve been funny as hell to see her interact with more members, or they couldve found some way to write rhyme into the team. idk) and also neku was a part of the final operation where he synced with everyone in the city, but that also feels like a way to write neku into the climax rather than a reason he’s actually needed in the story narratively. The most important thing he does thematically is set rindos character development back a few steps simply by being present so that rindo can leap forward when the time comes for him to make an impossible decision. I feel like in general I really dislike how much neku is hyped up to be a legendary player when he’s just some guy who had the worst month of his life at 15 years old and deserved to have a break from that instead of everything that happened to him after he won the game. And they credit him so much for saving the city when ultimately that isn’t even technically what happened but that’s kinda pedantic lol

yeonjun's face was stoic, which was unlike his usual expressiveness in any type of social interaction. although, the meeting had been ongoing for a couple hours now so the manager left it at that.
unbeknownst to him, however, pleasure was coursing through the idol's veins.
it wasn't enough to make him scream and writhe, but it was enough to make him sweat, occasionally clench, and leave his eyes glossy from unshed tears after being teased for nearly 2 hours now.
yeonjun thanked the cold season for allowing him layers that wouldn't rise questions from anyone, layers that would hide what was happening underneath the surface.
there were touches everywhere that no one could see, and yeonjun hoped it stayed that way.
at an unexpected press, he unconsciously let out a whole-body shiver. his eyelids drooped a little, mouth agape.
it didn't take him long to realise where he was, still, and how unprofessional he was being. luckily, no one was paying attention to him.
once the meeting was adjourned, the idol bid goodbye to his visual and styling team, thanking them for their hard work and that he was looking forward to working on his next comeback with them.
his manager did the same beside him, slapping a hand to his back good-naturedly.
but the stimulation was too sudden, too unexpected for yeonjun. in addition to the still ongoing assault to his nerves, it almost made him lose it right then and there.
a tight pressure around his base stopped him just in time, keeping him in check.
the action brought tears to his eyes that never left the precipice, staying obedient behind his eyelids and giving him that glassy-eyed look again. people around him crowded a bit more, worrying and thanking him for his hard work in the same breaths.
after reassuring everyone that he was fine, dust was just attacking his eyes and whatnot, yeonjun finally left the meeting room with his manager.
"anywhere you wanna go?"
"just home, please."
the ride back to his dorm was quiet, as quiet as yeonjun could be, that is.
his breaths were a bit heavy, with the occasional pants and a gasp here and there. he'd closed his eyes for some rest, but for the lack of stimulation from his sight, soobin made up for it in other ways.
gradually, his insistent touching in and outside of yeonjun's body increased- in numbers, in frequency, in speed.
once again, yeonjun thanked the layers he wore today. he swore he was on the verge on exploding at this point. the only thing stopping him was the hold that kept him from reaching his climax.
upon reaching his building, the idol thanked his manager and hoped he had a good rest for the next 2 days- rest days, finally.
yeonjun stumbled out the car, something too deep inside him threatening his balance. to his luck, he managed to gain his footing from grasping the car door.
he only entered the building after calming his manager down, that he was fine and he just lost his balance for a second, no biggie.
but once in his room, face down on his bed, yeonjun thrashed. hands punching and feet kicking the bed beneath him, voice rising in a whine.
"what the hell was that, soobin?!"
'i told you to pay attention to me.'
"and i told you- it was an important meeting!"
'more important than me?'
"yes!"
unhappy with his answer, soobin moved his tendrils faster. he especially gave extra attention to the ones on yeonjun's nipples, and he increased the girths of the ones pressing on his prostate.
"wait- soobin, that's- ahh!"
the tendril around his base finally left.
yeonjun felt like his brain was melting out of his skull, the pleasure was too much. after being on edge for hours, his climax was borderline overwhelming. it almost felt neverending.
after coming back to his senses, he regretted it. regretted sobering up because soobin was still assaulting all his spots, still flicking and pressing and rubbing.
"soobin, please!"
yeonjun was sobbing at this point, tears tracking down and unstopping.
'this is for choosing work over me.' soobin pressed on harder within the idol. at another hard thrust, 'this is for ignoring me.'
"im sorry- im sorry! please!" yeonjun was just leaking now. he'd closed his eyes after the black spots came about, hands fisted in the sheets.
his legs, after thrashing a bit, laid numb on the bed. by this point, the only things he could still feel were the clenching of his abs in response to the jabs at his prostate.
'are you sorry?'
it took a while for yeonjun to find his voice again.
"i am," he rasped. "please, soobin."
after making sure yeonjun was all spent, the tendrils left his body one by one. they worked in tandem. some removed the idol's clothes, some grabbed on tissues to wipe him down, some got a cup of water for him to drink, tilting his head a little so he wouldn't choke.
others were caressing him, his cheeks, his arms, his trembling thighs. through it all, his eyes stayed shut, though now with less force.
"soobin..."
'hm?'
"we'll watch your anime tomorrow, okay?"
at that, yeonjun felt a kiss on his forehead before he lost consciousness, asleep.

I'm kinda upset rn
Pixar needs to contact me because i think i just dreamed a blockbuster his movie
I just had a dream about a movie about cavemen/aliens/dinosaurs (possibly a combination of all three who knows, i don't, and it was my dream)
The main focus was this family, (mom, dad, preteen girl, small child boy) and this new commer (preteen boy)
It took place on this strange floating desert island that was largely dangerous because it had many deadly creatures and the terrain did strange things that couldn't (any never would) be explained.
It seemed like there were lots of remains of a technologically advanced species before them
Character descriptions are this
The dad is super silly and makes a lot of bad dad jokes, he loves his family so much and he acts a bit stupid even tho he isn't, he is however wildly and incredibly strong
The mom is very kind but mildly exasperated with everyone, tho the parents are a Team she seems to be the Leader of this group, she's the one that's most suspicious of this new boy. She is incredibly smart and resourceful
The preteen girl is wild and curious but she feels a little held back by her family, she wants to properly stretch her legs and she thinks she can do that better without them. She has a bag filled with things that's she's collected and she's desperately trying to figure out what happened to the world that made it this desert wasteland
The little kid is very sweet and innocent, he's just as curious as his sister but he obviously is much more clingy to his family (as small children are)
The new kid is both distant and clingy with the family, he has moments with each of them that really show how well he fits in them but there's something off about his behavior that is revealed at the climax of the movie
There are a couple other families that are met but not important to the plot at large, mostly there to show that there's other people and the protective nature of the mom
The lackey group of about five people two of which has zero lines but have a weirdly impactful Moment with either teen boy or teen girl, the Leader of the group ends up being the smallest guy who you don't realize is the leader until either teen girl or teen boy get captured. You find out then that these guys are just bounty hunters trying to do their job but maybe their job isn't worth doing if it means they have to kidnap kids. The last two are the comic relief of the movie that bicker a lot. The guy who is lanky and tries to lower the tension a lot by saying witty things like "oh we thought you two might come here for the romantic view" and the lady who is buff and seems like the primary brute force and also seems like she might be the group leader at first
Then theres the villain he has this whole thing with being "The Real Hero of The Story" and he's incredibly suave and smart and arrogant. But he's vindictive and cruel
From what I can remember the main plot was that the villain essentially caused a curse over the land by not fulfilling his side of the deal with the gods, a deal he made to win the war (like a hundred years ago and it's never said what the war was about)
The curse caused everything to be this desert wasteland but also curse him to this undead state of entropy and pain
He's the one that sent the bounty hunters after the teen boy
So this kids running away and stumbles upon the family they have these nice bonding moments and altho the mom is suspicious of him, she warms up to him just before the movie climax
A lot of the early part of the movie is him being really knowledgeable about the architecture, archeology, and ancient technologies while girl is really knowledgeable about survival, scavenging, and he deep fascination with knick knacks. All that while being subtly hunted by the lackeys
The tension starts the rise when the family finds out the lackeys are after the boy specifically and that they aren't going to stop until they've gotten him
The climax begins while mom and dad are arguing about whether or not boy can stay with them
Mad that mom and dad might make boy leave, girl starts ranting about how unfair it all is but boy argues that mom and dad are right to want him to leave, he is dangerous to have around
They get into a fight as well and her bag of knick knacks gets destroyed or lost down a ravine in the kerfuffle
She gets so incredibly mad and runs off (the audience should be mildly upset about the bag as well since it represented her hopes and dreams)
She gets grabbed by the lackeys and the lackeys confront the family with her
The mom who had been about to side with "We need to let this boy stay. He's just a child and he shouldn't be alone." Turns on the boy
Trying to explain his actions but giving up half way through the boy says something like "I'm sorry you got hurt, i was being selfish." Before trading himself with the girl.
They hand the boy over to the main villain and he does his villain monologue where he explains everything and how boy has the missing piece and knowledge to fix everything
How if boy stops being selfish the world could be a wonderful place again (with villain as it's protector and leader)
Cut to the lackeys at a bar or watering hoke or something and theyre talking about how the boy is probably going to get killed and how it's fucked up that this is their job and how many families did they destroy doing this guys bidding and is the money really worth it
And family over hears this and mom goes full Mom™ and is like YOU NEED TO EXPLAIN RIGHT NOW!
And the lackeys explain that villain could fix the world but if he did that he wouldn't get unlimited power and how once the archeologist/research scientists realized this many of them tried to hide how to fix the Thing™ and villain killed them for it
And how Boys mother was one of those people and they didn't know that her kid was watching when she died but villain figured out that boy stole a piece
And now that's the only piece needed to finish the Thing™
Cut to boy puting the Thing™ together and suddenly getting visions of the Gods that did this all, he can't see their faces but theirs voices come through, they ask what he desires
At the last moment one Goddess calls him a brave boy and he says he's just selfish
And she says perhaps and kisses his forehead and for a moment he has his mom back and she's there and alive and she's wonderful and it's all he's ever wanted and maybe they aren't survivalists like the Family™ but he could take her to them and
And then he thinks about how the family struggles so much just to have food and water and how the world could be plush with greens and Life and he could ask for that but
But he wouldn't get his mom back
And he starts crying and apologizing and his mom kisses his forehead and says that's it's okay and he'll be okay and she sings a lullaby that he was humming early in the movie and they hugs so tightly and desperately
Then cut to the family and the lackeys doing a cook but of breaking in to the villains lair and kicking butt and and they find the boy
But he's holding the Thing™ and his eyes are glowing and the villain says it's too late that once the life is sucked out of the boy he'll finally get his power and that he'll be a benevolent king
And you see the power of the gods start to fill the villain and
Cut to the boy and it's just him and the goddess asks him again, this time with a voice quite like his mother's, "What do you desire?"
Tears drip down his face and he mumbles out a small sorry
Cut too light filling the room from the tech but it's way too much
And lanky lackey says "it's gonna blow!"
And villain realizes he's being destroyed not made anew
And mom grabs the boy and they run
It explodes!
Then darkness and voices, his mom's voice!
He sits up quickly but!
It's not his mom, his mom is dead
But the world, the world isn't dead anymore and that's enough
As the movie winds down and you find out that lanky lackeys repeated comments about girl and boy being romantic were just him projecting because he wants to be romantic with buff lady lackey
The family are having a sweet moment about seeing their differences and loving each other and mom looks over and sees boy, sitting alone, looking at the Thing™ in his hands
Dad speaks up and says hey kiddo, we've got room for more over here
And boy runs over and hugs them
And it's not his mom, so it'll never be perfect
But it's enough, and he thinks she'd be happy to know that
Then cut to like five years later, boy and girl are still Just Friends (i cannot stress this enough) but they're older and wiser and even more of a handful for mom and dad
Buff lackey has like a mentor thing going on with the small kid and lanky looks dreamily on at his wife with a child
And the world is beautiful, and their home is plentiful and filled with laughter, and their community is happy and healthy
And many things were lost, and it isn't perfect, but it's enough
And that was the low down of my movie dream
Pixar hit me up

Bow For Your Queen (Story of Love and Betrayal)
Being a wife and mother would have satisfied me.  I suppose being a General and a queen will be a good alternative.  Now I’m off to conquer the land ruled by the one I once loved, and I assumed loved me.  When did it go so wrong.  I admit it didn’t start great.  I was a 12yr old Tom boy and him a mid–twenties prince.  Our marriage was simply political.  I had a closer relation to the squirrels that I fed in the courtyard.  As I grew into women hood, I became very beautiful, at least by the standards of most people.  I find beauty in the art of combat.  The art of war.  So, I'd rather practice my sword play, but I was forced to trade that in for a kitchen knife.  The sharpness is fine, but the items I cut leave much to be desired.  They don’t even let me join the hunts; I simply wait for the meat to be layed on the counter.  Fine, I was a team player, I’ll play the role of the wife.  And hell of an actor I was, some would even say That it was real.  Even I thought it was real for a moment.  But little did I know of the star performer I was acting next to.  The prince (well now king) Came around more often once I was of age.  I mean the flower had bloomed it’s only natural that he wanted to take a view.
The King was quite charming the more we interacted.  And so, I fell deeper and deeper into my acting role.  We held another official ceremony and even had kids.  2 boys.  My life was a happy one and I rarely thought of anything besides my loving family.  Then it all started crashing when a new adviser came to aid the king, my husband.  A petite man, quite handsome, but much too feminine for my liking.  My husband seemed to enjoy him though.  He enjoyed him a bit too much.  And that man, Hugh, was much too ambitious.   Soon Hugh and my husband were spending every waking hour together.  Much to my annoyance, Sure I was busy with the boys, but it would have been nice to have their father around.  But his favorite boy took all his time.  We argued more frequently even though our time together became less and less.  We even slept in different quarters.  Times when I was out for a late-night stroll, I would catch a glimpse of Hugh entering his quarters.  I’m sure he took great pleasure in their late-night business meetings.  My aid told me they would last until the next morning.  I’m surprised at the vigor he still had at his age.  Whatever, I’m content with being a mother to my boys.  As I said I'm a team player and it seemed my acting has not rusted a bit.
I’ll be your queen in public and estranged in private.  But it seems that wasn’t enough for the two of them.  They conspired to kick me out of the kingdom.  Me!  The star of the show.  Hugh didn’t like my face and my husband; he was no longer fond of my parts.  But this is how I came out of the factory.  And I didn’t come with a change of parts.  They forced me back home, my eldest brother now sitting on the throne.  He knew of the situation as we often exchanged letters.  I was fine just being a mother.  But my son is a prince, and he will be a king.  And that place started as a strange land, but now it is my home.  So, unfortunately, I couldn’t let them take that away.  Who knew the art of war, was like riding a horse.  You never forget, after a month or so I felt in top form.  It is truly amazing how fast you can pick things back up.  It is also amazing how quickly someone regains their love for you when there’s a saber across their neck.  I guess those late-night meetings with Hugh didn’t discuss military tactics.  I wonder what they spent all that time doing.  Well, it doesn’t matter anymore.  Hugh is imprisoned and my husband has a very important role tomorrow, it involves a guy swinging an axe.  It should be a great climax to such a good acting career.  After everything that happened.  I learned a few things.  Being a wife was good.  Being a mother is Great.  But being a Queen, now that’s perfect.  Oh, I still haven’t mentioned my name.  Sorry this actress is called Isabella and my surname.  Well, it doesn’t matter anymore now does it.

A Film Analysis of The Social Network
We all know the huge social media website Facebook, but very few know about the people behind it and how it became a website that changed the world. Today Facebook has over 2 billion monthly users. In The Social Network, director David Fincher shows how Facebook came to be and enhanced the drama within that story with a long set up.
Tumblr media
The bulk of the movie is made up with the 1st Act, the set up. This is an intentional choice by the director to help the audience build a connection with the characters. The movie takes place during legal discussions, but it constantly flashes back to college when the characters were starting Facebook. The first act consists of the main character, Mark Zuckerberg, and his efforts with his then best friend, Eduardo Saverin, to start the next big thing. The audience is bound to grow a connection with the different characters, especially Eduardo who is more charismatic than the nerdy and blunt Mark. Although, you get excited for the duo and their success with the network, the build up is filled with drama. It begins with the Winklevoss twins who believe that Mark stole their idea for the website. You soon discover that in the present day there are legal battles with his ex-best friend Eduardo Saverin and the Winklevoss twins. There is also an obvious feud between Eduardo and another young, prominent entrepreneur named Sean Parker, but amongst all the drama there is a lot of excitement for the big stuff the boys are doing. Act 1 is the main act. The director used this to help heighten the drama and is by far the longest part of the film.
Tumblr media
Founders of Facebook Pictured above (from Left: Eduardo Saverin, Chris Hughes, and Mark Zuckerberg)
Tumblr media
(The Actors Casted to Play the Founders in The Social Network)
The 2nd Act begins when Eduardo flies out to San Francisco to see what has been going on for the boys at Facebook. The team moved out to the Bay Area for better connections after Sean advised Mark it would be a good move. When Eduardo flew out he was greeted with Sean. This did not sit well with Eduardo, especially when he found out Sean was setting business meetings for the company. Eduardo flew back to the East Coast and shortly after his arrival he got a call from Mark. Mark scolded Eduardo for freezing the bank accounts, a move he made to get the teams attention, but Mark also informed him that an angel investor offered Facebook a $500,000 investment in the company. Eduardo flew back to sign his "death sentence." After a stunt by Mark and Sean on other investors, that Sean had problems with, they received another big investment. When Eduardo arrived he discovered that his ownership would be so little that he would no longer be a part of Facebook. This was the climax of the film, and it was filled with a lot of emotion. This was right around the time Facebook was about to reach a million users. In a moment Eduardo smashed Marks laptop and told Mark he would get a lawyer and come back for the entire company. At the legal table Eduardo stated, "I was your only friend." In a highly dramatized sequence, the audience starts to question Mark's ethics, and how he could do this to his best friend.
Tumblr media
From here the movie begins to resolve itself. Sean, very pleased with what happened to Eduardo, decided to celebrate the 1 million users with a party. At the party Sean was got in trouble with cocaine and being involved with an intern. He called Mark to inform him of the events, and Mark was disappointed. He knew that this would have a bad effect on Facebook. From here, the film shifts to focusing on just the legal discussions. Mark was advised to settle both lawsuits: with the Winklevoss's and Eduardo. Through all the turmoil, Facebook decided to settle and the movie comes to a close.
The 1st Act is by far the most important to the story of the movie. The director intentionally got the audience invested in the characters by showing how they interact with each other and making these characters relatable. This made the confrontation towards the end that much harder to swallow. You get to understand the struggles that the characters faced, and how they worked together to push through their problems. The 1st Act especially connects the audience with Eduardo, who was always looking out for Mark when nobody else did. Most of this is thankfully resolved when you discover Eduardo's name was restored to the masthead and he was given a settlement. Although not everything is resolved, and there is not exactly a happy ending, the audience is left with a better understanding of how the tech giant came to be.

So I decided to make an analysis about the last scene of Infinite Darkness
But before I start with the fun part, I just want to tell you that my history with “angst ships”
I had a bad experience with another ship, soul mates full of angst tropes and true love, beautiful... and a really bad ending because the showrunner fought with the actors (I wasted years watching and I regret it).
Anyway, after suffering that kind of pain, no other ships and angst scenes can hit me hard enough. I'm numb or just got used to it. You choose.
So maybe the scene of Leon and Claire's argument wasn't that impactful for me because of that. But for all the fans who felt hurt, I understand and it's okay to feel that way, because the scene was meant to hurt. The scene exists because of that. And your feelings are valid.
So let's get to the fun part.
spoiler alert, it's not that fun, it actually hurts 😅
The scene starts with Leon going to meet Claire at the gates of the White House.
I don't think anyone denies the fact that, whatever Leon is doing, he just wants to protect Claire. And he doesn't want her involved because of it.
But this dialogue makes this even more evident if we analyze how it begins.
Nothing in a show or movie is by accident. Everything is handpicked for one reason or another. The meaning is not always that deep, but there is still a meaning behind it all.
So when – of all the ways a conversation can be started – they decide to make Claire joke that she sneaked out of the hospital, Leon takes it seriously and she has to clarify that it's a joke, there's a reason:
Tumblr media
Show that Leon is taking what happened to her too serious, and Claire not that much.
When Claire makes a comment about when he's going to stop treating her like a kid and he says probably never. There's a reason:
Tumblr media
Show that Leon wants to protect her (or being overprotective) and Claire doesn't like it.
Of course, some might argue that this specific line is capcom trying to show that their feelings aren't romantic and sink the ship completely. And, ok, people are free to think that.
But if they really wanted to sink cleon forever, they shouldn't have done the scene of Leon saving Claire the way they did. They did it because they knew it would tease a certain part of the fans... They knew exactly what they were doing...
And there's simply no reason to tease a ship you want to sink.
So no, I don't think that's it...
For me the scene means the classic and simple: "stop being worried about me🙄" "noooo🗣️"
Another way to intensify Leon being overprotective is Claire's broken arm. A reminder that she was injured following his plan. Just as she was hurt the last time they saw each other in Harvardville.
And yes, I know Degeneration made Claire hurt to take her out of the action. It is undeniable. But somehow I don't think the same situation and reason applies to Infinite darkness.
Because Claire was already out of combat, following Leon's plan and showing no intention of doing anything different. It's not like she's going to attack the monster that is several platforms higher than where she is. She couldn't fly around and there were no guns where she was anyway.
So why hurt her to get her out of combat if the story itself has already done that?
Again, you are free to think differently. Capcom made Claire dirty, she was underestimated and they wasted her potential. I won't argue with that, I'm also on the team Claire deserves better.
I just don't think it fits this specific situation.
The injured arm is there and a awkward conversation about Leon being overprotective starts because of it. I think it makes sense.
So moving on.
Claire mentions the chip and Leon looks disappointed for a moment and says he thought they were going to dinner.
This is to indicate that he didn't come to see her with the intention of breaking their friendship. Leon just wanted to spend a good time with her and nothing more. Some place a little more normal, maybe?👀
But Claire wants the chip and tells Leon her plan. The same plan that Shen May was killed trying to convince her partner to follow. Is there a parallel here?
The only difference is that Jason broke her neck while Leon decided to break Claire's heart.
Okay now I could show more parallels between them, but I won't because this is already too long and I know maybe I'm reading too much into this. Resident Evil isn't that deep most of the time 😂
Anyway, Claire asked for the chip and Leon said no.
And that's the point, right.
The climax of the conversation and the turning point in their relationship.
Tumblr media
Note that Leon took a few seconds to say he couldn't. That was the moment when he made his decision...
He went to meet her for dinner, remember? He didn't expect to have this conversation or make a decision like that. But he had to.
Now, I'm not from the US and I don't trust politicians in general, fiction or not. But I admit this sounds realistic.
Just imagine if the president makes a speech about peace and prosperity and whatever and the next day the media reveals that members of the government are involved in BOW and planning an attack on another country.
At the very least, it won't look good.
In the worst case, it will be a catastrophe 😂
So... I don't agree with Leon, but I understand why he chose this.
It's an important decision, however. And how long it takes him to say something and how he's quiet after saying it shows he knows what's on the line. Not just the security of the country and “peace”, but also his relationship with Claire.
And despite everything... He didn't lie to her.
It would be much easier for Leon to simply say "the chip was destroyed in the fight" when she asked. Claire would never know about it and probably never doubt him. And they would still be fine with each other and having dinner.
But he didn't lie. Why?
Because their relationship is not based on lies. And it's not based on betrayals.
And while it may be hard to believe right now and it hurts to think about it, this relationship is still based on truth and trust in each other. And now their relationship is being tested.
It's easy to trust someone you're on good terms. How hard it must be to trust someone who has let you down.
There is a lot of room for development here.
Tumblr media
Obviously Claire felt hurt in this moment. Maybe even betrayed. Heartbroken. I think we all feel that same way.
But Leon played fair there. He said he had the chip, showed it to her, and then said he wouldn't give it to her.
He was honest with her. And this act also shows respect.
They are two people with different points of view and that truth hurts.
There is silence as they look at each other. She never asked his reasons and he obviously never told them. The exchange of glances is enough for them to understand what was happening.
When Claire says “you do things your way and I do mine” it's almost like “do you know what that means? ”
Then Leon nods and another moment of silence. The time they need to accept that the relationship is broken.
Now that's angst
Tumblr media
Interesting choice of camera angle. Showing her broken arm as a visual reminder of why he was pushing her away like that.
Claire leaves, but looks back and says again that his outfit doesn't suit him.
What's interesting here is that the director has done a few interviews over the past few weeks and he always said that the suit is a representation of Leon's position in government.
Tumblr media
Claire commenting that it doesn't suit him is basically the writers/producers/directors admitting that this position doesn't look good.
And while all the characters praising Leon for his success, Claire is the one who sees this reality and who he truly is out of the suit (position)
And that's good angst.
Claire walks away and Leon with a sad look watching her leave and he has to say to himself "I will stop this".
Tumblr media
Could it be just one of his one-lines? Yes.
Could it be a way for him to remind himself why he's doing this, even if it means sacrificing his relationship with Claire?
It's already done, now he has to make it worth it.
Whatever happens after that is a mystery.
I don't think Claire believes that Leon is going to cover up the government's involvement in things (their discussion would be much more intense if that were the case), she probably thinks he's going to resolve it internally without taking anything public, which is precisely what she wants to do.
I also don't think Leon believes Claire is going to give up on the investigation, he probably thinks it's going to take some time to her to get real evidence and he has time to carry out his plans.
But this is capcom... They are masters of forgetting plot points. So who knows.
Angst is only good if it has a good closure. I hope they keep that in mind.
In any other tv show that used this kind of angst trope and drama I would be completely fine...
I would expect a sequel to this plot. The characters find each other unexpectedly, having to work together and acting awkwardly because they don't know how to stick around each other after the argument. Then the story would develop and they would gradually mend their relationship.
That's the trope.
So that's all I can hope for.
