This is one of the questions I'm afraid to answer 😭

But anyway...Clankie. Again, I don't dislike it, I'm just not invested in gen 3 aside from the dolls so I feel really neutral towards it. Lots of cute fanart, and I think the subtle nods they put on the dolls is adorable, but that's as far as my enjoyment of the pairing goes.

Genuinely, it felt like he was the only one that bothered to even look at how L behaved in the other versions. I actually think both him and everything done with Ryuk were the only two highlights of the movie.

Like I don’t care what others say. I do genuinely like this version of L considering the material LaKeith had to work with.

Can I say something controversial ... So obviously the live action Death Note movie was a fucking travesty . It's a completely out-of-pocket, whitewashed "adaption" of Death Note that butchered ALL of the characters as well as the plot to the point that it's not even worth calling an adaption rather than a bad spinoff ... and IMO all of the actors did a horrible fucking job with their characters lol 😭💔 EXCEPT ... FOR ONE .

The silver lining, the ONLY silver lining of the whole disaster of a movie, was L Lawliet's actor. I got the impression that he was the sole person on the set with a real passion for the source material, and he seemed to be putting actual effort into fostering chemistry with Light Yagami's (completely unreceptive) actor. Like the Supernatural scene where Castiel confesses while Dean stares at him like he wants to throw up. Just like that. He was doing the best he could with the bad lines and the character-assassinated version of L he had to work with, and he was the only reason I was able to bear to watch the entire clusterfuck of a movie.

The movie was awful, 0/10, but I think Lakeith Stanfield deserves more credit for being THE ONLY PERSON who visibly GAVE A SHIT about the character he was portraying, and, all things considered, doing good work with him! He was a perfect pick for the weirdo detective, IMO. It's just a shame that the (other) actors sucked ass and the director sucked ass and the producers sucked ass and the writers sucked ass 😭

P.S. he's also a cutie in a way I think is befitting of L Lawliet. Look at those big ole eyes...

. I see her befriending malleus she’s very friendly and loves making friends and would probably talk to him often

. Befriends ace and deuce I imagine her and deuce even chatting about how they love their mothers also she’s friendly and loves to help and I just see her bonding with a deuce duo

. Her and epel bonding over apples Darcy is very close to her grandpa so she grew up around apples

. Epel , deuce and her bonding over wanting to help their families

. Extra info teen Darcy is 4ft tall so some of the boys may tease her about her height

. Azul often trying to make deals with her since she’s a princess but they later become friends

. Ruggie being surprised she’s a Royal cause he finds her humble and them later bonding over past cause when little before adopted Darcy survived on cardboard

Genuinely I am so sick of people playing BG3 and commenting like ""Oh it's so dumb that Wyll is uncomfortable at the Tiefling party because of his horns -- all the tieflings have horns too""

I disagree completely.

Wyll's uncomfortable because he has horns NOW and did not have them the last time he saw those tieflings. Literally most of them know him BY NAME. He's uncomfortable because he doesn't want to have to answer the same question over and over and over again to these people that he knows, has worked with, and has helped teach.

If you've ever lost a job or had something bad happen to you, it makes sense. You don't want to go to a big event right after it happened because you KNOW everyone will be asking you about that bad event. And you don't want to deal with it!!!

That was me after my dog passed away last year. I knew people were being understanding and trying to be comforting, but I didn't want to keep telling people that he fucking died over and over again!! It was upsetting!!! It just kept re-opening the wound!

I feel like that is why Wyll is upset at the tiefling party and I am so tired of everyone making fun of him for it.

It's a very real reaction.

Some doodles! Yipeee! Decided to throw my Shroud Parents design into the ring now that I have properly met them in the story. Also quick visual signals of when Idia is feeling more feminine and masculine cause I finally decided to head canon him as genderfluid. Usually he’s pretty apathetic with his gender and doesn’t care how he’s perceived but some days she feels one way and then feels different another. All depends on the hair

I might make a separate post about how I interpret the Shroud family curse cause it’s an interesting concept that I love playing around with

I watched that scene and being flabbergasted that a character is saying this to Harper, someone who basically coerced Malakai into the threesome when he was not in the right headspace. It’s like the writers realized they fucked up and still tried to sweep the fucked up connotations under the rug rather than actually acknowledge that what Harper and Dusty did was basically assault.

But they don’t want to do that because Harper is designed to be sympathetic as a character and they can’t have that if they acknowledge the fact that she basically assaulted a guy. So instead they play the threesome scene as more like a joke like when Malakai was like “I had a threesome with a guy. That was kinda gay” or when Harper goes, “Yeah it was kinda hot…sorry.” It’s basically the writers’ way of doubling down rather than just outright admit that they heavily fumbled the bag with the threesome.

I think it’s interesting that Ant doesn’t continue with Harper bc she’s not in the right headspace and brings up how you need to take in the whole context not just what people are saying for proper consent. It’s interesting bc that’s not what happened with Malakai and his situation

Epel lives with extended family so like his parents as well as his grandma. Idia and Ortho are just not conventional at all, but they’re still very much brothers. I mentioned Malleus before, but be more specific he was raised by his grandma and by Lilia who is basically his adoptive father. Their could be the possibility of Kalim having more than one mom unless one person really did give birth to 20+ kids. Either way, he’s from an exceptionally large family which isn’t common regardless

I’m sure there’s more but these are what I remember

Like Deuce was raised by a single mom, Vil by a single dad, Azul gets along well with his step father, Ruggie was raised by his grandma, Lilia is Silver’s (and Malleus’s tbh) adoptive father, and I could go on cause there are more examples.

It’s genuinely nice how casual the writing is when it comes to these things. Like yeah, their home lives are different and it’s chill cause there’s nothing wrong with not having a nuclear family.
