she just grabs things with her tongue and usually eats the entire things whole in one sitting! Sometimes when it is stressed or perhaps angry, it chomps the food more aggressively with teeth and such. Alright, well, for starters, how you became friends could vary.

Either you’re some messed up otherworldly creature with a thirst for chaos and destruction like him, or some unsuspecting human. Or maybe you knew what you were doing? Who knows! Bill knows.

Regardless, at first he doesn’t pay you much mind. You’re simply another pawn on the chessboard to him.

He can get bored easy, so he hangs out around you a lot. Not for long, mainly frequent short visits.

How many Birdy Behaviours does bird!reader actually delight in?

There's so many cute and weird things that I could consider.

Cute things:

- Do their feathers puff up if they're angry or startled? If they're cold? If so, do they have little downy feathers that would be visible when they do? How soft and floofy would they look?

- Will their wings cover people they're in bed with? Like a little tent?

(I think it'd be adorable if everytime they wake up, their wings shake uncontrollably before folding back into themselves. Like how birds will do if they get snow or rain on their feathers. That instinctually, reader is protecting wednesday from the weather, even when in their dorm. Adorable)

- Do they molt? Groom themselves? When they shower, do the wings need extra care? Do they need help molting? Someone else to groom the hard-to-reach parts of their wings?

- Speaking of water, do the wings absorb water or deflect them like water fowl? Do they do a cute little shimmy when they're trying to get water off their wings?

Weird bird behaviours:

- Do they ever.. Go birdy? If they're very hungry and see a litte creacher, like a bug or mouse, would they crunch down? Eat raw meat? Are there certain things they need in their diet that normies don't?

- Okay, Google the sound that a peacock makes when it fans it's feathers. Can they.. can they make that sound? I'm terrified and intrigued.

- do they have feathers in other parts of their body? On their back between their wings, in their hair?

- Do they whistle at 5am?

Cute things:

They absolutely do puff up, especially when angry, it's part of what makes her so frustrated. It's hard to look intimidating when you've got a bunch of fluff on your back. Wednesday always teases her for the fluffy downy feathers, which makes her even more mad, which makes Wednesday even more amused

YES they cover people they're cuddling with. Like, once she starts sleeping with Wednesday, they practically turn into fluffy blankets. And they shake during dreams, nightmares, and when waking up. Wednesday nearly threatens to cut them off once after the feathers tickled her nose and she couldn't stop sneezing for 15mins

They absolutely molt, it's awful. Usually Reader just complains the whole time until someone finally offers to help (it used to be Enid until she bugs Wednesday enough). She can get 95% of it on her own but every now and then there's a spot she just can't reach

They absorb water and it's hell. They feel soggy and heavy and take forever to dry, and Wednesday is lucky she's so cute because all that walking in the rain is absolutely miserable. The shimmy itself is not cute though, it's more like when a dog tries to shake water off. Erratic, violent, ceaseless shaking until it's dry and then she's stuck, once again, with fluffy, unruly feathers

Weird behaviours:

Yes, but more in terms of "oh shit are those seeds?? Is that fruit??? oh fuck yes" Like, she manages to control herself around meat, but she will chase and terrorise little creachers if they pass by her at the right time. More than once, Wednesday watched her grab a rabbit, fly with it, and let it plummet back to the ground. Or she just flatout curb stomp a snake if she feels threatened. Reader is an absolute menace to the local ecosystem

Thankfully no peacock feather sounds, the most anyone can hear is just a gentle ruffle and maybe a little hum in th eprocess

No other feathers, but that doesn't stop the chaos because she drops those feathers everywhere

She will basically whistle/call out at the most random hours of the day, much like a rooster. Though not quite as loud, it's almost like she can't help it. In the middle of class? A small whistle. Half-asleep? Another one. In the middle of a test? It's a good thing the school is full of Outcasts because what do you know, Reader is whistling

Damn right, she 100% caters her trinket gifts. She starts off with just whatever she can find, but she narrows it down until she knows The Gift. Enid usually gets anything shiny, whether it's a gem or earring or anything else. Wednesday gets rocks and pieces of bones. More than once theyve gotten something that Reader stole literally from the other side of the room, so it's not even really a gift, but it's the thought that counts (Reader also tries to woo Wednesday with rock piles, much like a penguin)

EXTRA BEHAVIOURS 👀

She picks at her feathers when she's extremely stressed or overwhelmed. It's a small part of why she keeps them in the harness when she's anxious, it keeps her from the bad habit

She BITES FINGERS. More than once Enid has pointed at her and she just... chomped and it's not even a hard bite but it leaves everyone like "what the genuine fuck???"

An absolute weirdo with the weather. It snows? She plays in it like it's the best thing ever, much like crows. It's sunny? Catch this bitch outside with wings outstretched fully catchin those rays

Always 100% down to fight her own reflection. She's got a human brain, she knows it's her own reflection, but that small birdy part still sees the reflection and is like "gasp, an enemy, square up." It's the sole reason there's no mirrors in Reader's room. Probably the only time Wednesday actually, audibly laughed was when Reader unexpectedly passed a mirror and instantly started a fight. Thankfully it wasn't an expensive one

On my first ever playthrough, where I played my main Hawke (f!warrior), I had barely finished Origins and still knew and understood relatively little of the world of Dragon Age, I hadn't played Awakening, and I romanced Anders despite him looking so fucking Scrungly simply because he's written to be like ... genuinely a pretty nice person? (Also I love the voice acting as well, probs one of my favorites in all the games so far, rly sells the character.)

Like he's a doctor working out of a sewer to help poor people who are forgotten by the system, he's possessed by a cool powerful ghost, he's passionate and snarky, and because I'm fucked up in the head the drowning us in blood line got me going full kombucha girl.

So when he blew up the Chantry and it was supposed to be this big epic "betrayal" I was like "...huh. Ok cool. Wait you think that's stabbing-worthy? You think I would kill you for this? lolwut"

Like at this point I didn't even know Fenris was a party memeber cuz I had skipped the quest where you meet him, assuming it was a minor fetch quest or something. Like at this point I still thought Cullen creeping on Amell/Surana in Origins was tee-hee cute. And yet, I wasn't very bothered by the Chantrypalooza even though, probably as intended, it should've beeen shocking and scary and it did come out of nowhere (to me, back then, when I wasn't aware of where things were going).

I dunno what it says about me, but romancing Anders and doing all his side quests and keeping him in the party was just a positive experience for me? Like yes he's a fucking weirdo when it comes to Merrill and Fenris and I'm not saying he's perfect or anything, I think he's very flawed and codependent and very mentally ill and my man clearly needs the help he's freely giving others ... but generally, when my Hawke would help people, that little blue +5 would pop up to the side and I would go "aw, he likes it when I help people!" And why wouldn't he? He's a healer and he's possessed by the spirit of Justice. Having him in the party just made things in Kirkwall feel less shit because here's a guy who's genuinely eager to help.

So like ... yeah he blew up the Chantry but like ... he probably had a reason? That was basically my head-empty vibe-only thought process when I first played the game.

He's so disliked and hated in many parts of fandom because he's a fucked-up little creacher (and because the mainstream male gamers are like "uwu the grey morality in BioWare games is legit and deep actually" and "oh no this weird rat-looking man flirted with my manly Hawke, I'd better stab his terrorist ass the moment I can"), but to me that's what makes him so special.

Like I genuinely think that if he'd been sold as more of a sexy brooding anti-hero (or they retconned him into a hero, as it were) people would stan and defend him the way they do Cullen and Solas. (And yeah some people do of course, but he's not nearly as beloved as those two are.) But because he's a weirdo and looks like that and he's a little pathetic and sad and a wet rat and clearly mentally unwell, people were eager to have a "real" reason to hate him and kill him, even though there are beloved characters who are arguably (and definitely) much worse people.

He's a lil guy who got tired of being abused and ignored, he's the rat that bit back and gave everyone the plague and I respect that <3

Some stuff about these 4 creachers in particular:

Claudia & Dominique (birth/given name Domingo): Claudia is the older sister at 21 while Domi is 19. She's overall a bit mean to him and always going "IDK him. Haven't heard of him in my life", when in reality she loves him a lot & will always look out for him, she's just really, REALLY bad at showing affection. Domi on the other hand is like a sad wet puppy when it comes to his sister, he often looks for her approval and brags about how smart & cool his sister is, even when most people who know her would only agree with the smart part. They used to be very close, and he feels like he did something wrong that made them drift apart (he didn't, Claudia just gained issues). Neither of them like their birth names because they "sound like old-people names", but Domi is the only one who goes by something different since Claudia considers it a bother to change. Also, Domi knows his name is usually spelled "Dominic", he just thinks "Dominique" looks cooler on paper. Also also, when Claudia finds out someone's being even slightly mean to her brother she tries to scare them off but it barely ever works due to the fact that she's very scrawny and needs help opening water bottles, SAD. (it's fine though cause she ends up talking about it to Candy (who has a huge crush on her and is friends with Domi), and she's way stronger despite her cutesy appearance)

Angel & Aurora: They've been besties for around three years now, starting in their 3rd year of high school, when Aurora was transferred into their school and Angel didn't know she was a girl yet. Aurora was really popular at first, until she demonstrated her love for all things magical and her desire to become a witch herself (in an almost completely non-magic user school), which most people found off-putting due to the degree of her passion. She first knew about Angel, who was from a different class, when someone mentioned "that weird guy with the spellbooks", and started pestering her non-stop to be friends, with Angel finding it difficult to admit that she did want Aurora as a friend. Eventually, Aurora started to feel genuinely rejected by Angel and left her alone, so Angel had to actually make an effort and face the mortifying ordeal of reaching out to someone with rejection on the line. It goes well (obvi), and they become very close with Angel trying to teach Aurora some spells and Aurora messing up a lot. Also, Aurora was the one who helped Angel realize she was trans while they were having a sleepover: Angel was talking about how uncomfortable she felt all the time and how she felt as if girls had everything she wanted, and Aurora just goes "? Just be a girl then!" and Angel is like. :o . She does have a lot, a LOT of anxieties about being trans though, and Aurora helps her a lot with her "it'll all be fine in the end and if it's not fine, then it's not the end!" attitude.

shun is. an interesting creacher. i feel like he's the least popular linagram character AND FOR A GOOD REASON. when i think about his character i can't help but think of something. slimy. like bro is kinda gross and i get so disgusted when i think about some of his actions but also. that's like. the whole point of his character!! when i came up with shun, i really wanted to make a character that would be really messed up but not in a "haha he's so silly" or "BUT HE LOOKED HOT WHILE DOING IT!!" way. i wanted him to feel realistic, like he's just a guy that you could easily meet irl. like he's just a weird dude!! he got voted guilty so he's only going to get worse, but i genuinely think he's one of the few linagram characters who CAN get better, they just don't have the things they need to achieve that. idk i think in shun's case he really just needs to be loved AND by someone who can show him what a healthy relationship is like and encourage him to get better.
