#i feel like sisyphus in this job space tonight so assorted bellumbeck thoughts go #tryjng to not touch on the stuff im writing an actual post on bjt i might repeat stuff and get into ship territory #so like. i enjoy getting way too deep abt bellumbeck and the possible parallels and w/e between bellum n linebeck #things to get deeper abt them and connections between them. abt linebeck being somehow more drawn to bellum than oshus #tryina get my mind off of things. school work world at large yknow. uh. trying to stay optimistic. idk if thats a good idea rn #anyways. um. something abt like. bellum is to linebeck as the spirits are to link. linebeck and link as the two major human main characters #being kind of strongly associated with these opposing forces? linebeck and link being foils/generally very different #yknow? like maybe oshus/the spirits ofc choose him in a sense bc he aligns with their goals and beliefs #while linebeck aligns more with bellum’s goals (which ig you can infer with some similarities between them from what you see)#yeah. making it way deeper than it actually is. bellum meeting linebeck in the middle in some form before just yknow. fucking with him #the thing between linebeck and bellum is so fun. it starts with bellum just throwing all of linebecks trauma at him and that backfiring #then trying to get him on to his side with the whole like i mean you do fantasize abt murder dude and then that falling flat #and then just giving up and getting violent and then THAT backfires bc uh oh he started venting by accident n linebecks kinda into this #its half weird silly visceral homoerotic WHATEVER and the just straight up literary analysis of this 17 year old game #oh god ph is turning 17 this year. now THAT makes me feel old #anyyyyyways. i do like linebeck kind of being v similar to bellum. the disdain for ciela. a mlre chaotic and self serving way of life.#hatred for ppl who try to limit or control him. bit of a scrappier n frantic mindset when scared. loves to hit da bricks when shit sucks #i am putting them together like little dolls i think brllumbeck is really interesting to get wayyyy too invested in.

YES IVE BEEN SEEING U IN MY DREAMS AND MAY IT BE FATE THAT HAS BROUGHT U TOGETHER¿ RIGHT NOW MY **DARLING**!!" or something like that and darling is an idiot so they go "OMG HE REMEMBERS ME FROM LAST TIME! AND HE WANTS ME TO KEEP HIM COMPANY!! OR SOMETHING IM NOT SURE WHATS HE TALKING ABOUT!" point is darling doesn't ask for his name cause they already know it and karamatsu quite literally just names them darling and then they go on a not date to the museum cause i say so

dont get me wrong i ship them but also theyre both so fail at this bc darling is an airhead and karamatsu is....karamatsu

they would be the kind of ship that starts dating without knowing which i find funny bc karamatsu would make a big deal out of asking darling out and darling would be like oh as a friend right and would miss every romance cue ever but then when darling would be like hey are we dating and karamatsuu would be like *dies from both exasperation and relief* and then darling would be too concerned about getting him to the hospital and forgets about the dating part im hjust having fun here

and then todomatsu confronts karamatsu like DO YOU KNOW THIS GIRL and karamatsu is like ah thats darling and totty is like DIE?? anyway they get along fine n totty calls them dari-chan i think darling also gets along with osomatsu darling draws him silly stuff on request n sometimes tries to play with jyushimatsu (dies) ichi probs thinks darling has something wrong in the head to hang out w karamatsu (they do) and choromatsu is like perpetually confused, no one uses the same set of pronouns for darling which creates confusion at the start

darling is technically a nickname (and an overly cutesy one too!) so darling gets named that way by karamatsu at the start so they go oh i guess we r besties for life now and so they go like ok so i need a cutesy nickname for him so they do that and with totty darling fucks up introducing themself to him so they end up being dari-chan to him as a way to make an even more cutesy name out of an already cute nickname i just think thats funny

Just... look at this art style, it literally always takes my breath away ITS BEAUTIFUL. So expressive and unique, I love it sm. They also have an encanto fanfiction too, it's set a few years in the future and is Mirabel x oc, I would never usually look for those stories on my own, since I'm not really into non canonical ships, but the art they made for it intrigued me and although I haven't read it in a while, from what I did read it was amazing. i think he's silly and funny and sily and i like him

me and my friend talk abt how dragunov's movements are so surgical, rehearsed, precise. they have such windups but when they connect they hit fast like a gunshot (the sound design helps sm with this imagery)

ive felt this way for tk7 but i love how after grapples he usually has little tactical ways to get back up

the automatic, reflexive way he fights is so cool (and attractive?! goes without saying i feel this way), he just wants to dispose of his opponent and get on with it, he's all business..

his heat startup and new rage art animation feels that way too, the glove adjust and the growl.. he's like let's get this shit done with already !!..

his heat smash shoulder bash too phwee!! <3 he uses all his body parts in such a intentional way.. he knows where and how to hit and hits hard

pair this with how he acts outside of business, he's always lost in thought and humming and in his own world.. its emphasised especially in tk8. i still love how he was a bit more ruthless in tk5-7, but i'd like to think bc he's on vacation he's a little more chill. he still has cold intros and outros tho, i forget how chilling the camera stare is supposed to be because i just think its cool </3

i always liked gap moe in my favs so yippie!

he's insanely attractive even to nonfans for a character whose design motifs revolve around the living dead; pale skin, dark lips, half lidded milky eyes (but they shine so cutely), sharp skeletal features. despite that he looks extremely chiselled its crazy.. i forget how much of a beast he is compared to the other male characters (incredibly tall.. like a scarecrow [scaring birds...no wonder the ravens have such a tough time w him] and i think one of the heaviest characters in the game)

apart from a few (nonromantic) relationships i like to think he's very solitary, so i'm not too interested in a lot of ships w him, but i usually dont care too much abt that stuff. theres like one and thats it lol. i just like seeing him be really cool. i am crazy fond of self ships like player/character, but thats mainly self indulgent and disconnected from canon..

even tho bryan and victor are my favs i like.. am not interested in them interacting seriously with him. dragunov's like toooo cool headed to really pay attention to them. i will forever love the idea that the raven unit has such a hard time with him but he doesn't really know any of them, like when he sees them he just feels like 'oh, it's them again. back to work.' with bryan too i like to think bryan likes him as per the ttt2 implication? but then gets bored because he just dispatches people too quickly and moves on, haha. a little ankle biter. i dont think dragunov is a sadist to the extent he is.

speaking of victor, in their intro, theres a little surprised squeak when he rolls out of the way of the attack, im not sure which of the two are making that noise but if its dragu EEK its super cute.

i had such a hibernation period with sergei when tk7 started declining, the difference between tk8 and 7 is insane im happy it stoked my love for him again

ohh yea and one more thing my friends keep teasing me abt his intro in the story mode, whenever i land a grapple we always quote "and SQUEEEEEZES the life out of them"

in more silly thoughts, i think he gives great hugs. i think his core/chest is very warm but his arms and legs are cold. maybe.

OH MY GOODNESS. well this isnt gonna be an unbiased take. because he is my husband. so yeah.

anywayyy he's the ruler of duloc, and he rlly wants to be a king rather than a lord. so he gets a magic mirror to find him a princess he can marry to become a king (some ppl say that monarchy heirship doesnr work like this but i don't know anything.)

anyway imho hes like. such a ladies man. honestly. hes super charming and suave, he would definitely spoil his lover with affection and gifts and all in all treat them like the center of his world. (we see aspects of this with the way he acts towards princess fiona in the movie)

at the same time he is kind of arrogant and doesn't really care about anyone else. with his most well known quote "some of you may die, but its a sacrifice im willing to make"

personally i find his arrogance and selfishness rlly attractive and also kind of funny at times. hes very self confident. and adamant in saying he deserves what he thinks he deserves.

his voice is so beautiful and i love the way he speaks.

he doesnt like the fairytale creatures though and exhiles them from duloc. he wants everything the way he wants it. anyway exhiling them is how shrek got involved with everything because shreks swamp is just outside of the limits of duloc so thats where all the fairytale creatures went.

anyhow i feel all my compliments i make abt him are true because of the fact that fiona does seem quite charmed by him at first. only once it's revealed that hes quite short does she seem to change her mind. which is lame. but at the same time it means hes all mine to self ship with as i please :3 (which i do by means of my oc Allegro. who is his jester. heheh.)

oh also his first name is Maximus (iirc this is something that was mentioned only in shrek the musical so its dubiously canon but i accept it because. otherwise he doesnt have one.)

and apparently his birthday is april 15th! not sure where that came from though. its uncited on his wikipedia page but im willing to believe it because it gives me fun things to do on that day.

Since the drama (ikyk) are now expired a long ago, i wanna talk my own opinion about abt frisk = self insert to ship with sans

[Note: Im NOT meant to revive the conflict.]

Honestly, I only see Frisk as its own character from the game, not as my own vessel, of course using my headcanon if i wanna ship with sans, they would be an adult woman. But if its platonic, im obv gonna using the canon version. Simple as that.

Not all frans shippers out there are consider frisk as their self insert, because, yeah, im one of them. (Heck i didnt even know that until someone brought it up, i didnt think abt frisk being their self insert AT ALL.)

I can still see both frisk as an adult and kid from different ways. Why would i see frisk as adult when it becomes friendship? That would fit more for kids underage who learn something good lessons about loving your family and your friendship, for education matters (The ending of True Pacifist as an example)

Once i fall in love with the first sight, i wont stop loving them until now.

If frisk was canoncally minor, i could simply change frisk into an adult to make it fair. Same age with Sans.

No, we arent talking about "But sans is over 100 age monsters and frisk 22 age blablabla that would make them pedo-" Shut. The. Fuck. Up. Dont make it complicated im just wanna have fun playing my ships WITHOUT care about the age gap, as long frisk was an adult, idfc. I even dislike anything illegal. I REALLY dont like anything complicated that lead me overthink too much. I love simple things to keep me happy.

Back to the first point; I only see frisk as their own character from game, not as me controlling them or frisk become my self insert and stuff. Plus, they are my first love in my childhood about why i ship them harder until now. They are my TOP reason of why i joined the fandom.

Im getting annoyed as well everytime people suddenly appear only to state about "Frisk was a minor" like dude, we aint dumb people who thought of frisk as canon adult in game. We playing our imagination, our headcanon. Frisk is my comfort character after sans afterall.

Just to be reminders here; Every fanart here arent canon. Thats how fandom works here. Not all of them was perfect here. Accept the reality, and leave them alone. Let them be happy playing with their own imagination. Even you've been burst out many arguement, they WONT stop loving for what they love. Its your waste of time.

ohohohhh good question

villain soup group potential is. well its Immense while simultaneously very limited. you cant exactly have dsmp style wars in hermitcraft— “but wait what about the mycelium/civil war from seasons 7 and 6?” those are Different because it split the entire server into two main groups essentially. There was no clear right or wrong it was just. idk who you watched more.

if we had a Villainous group of Only Three People it would be so hard to do. but i think it could work.

- I wouldnt want them to go DARK exactly, more along the lines of cartoon villains a la maybe wander over yonder or maybe steven universe. do campy villain stuff! make riddles/traps. mess with the king. set loose ravagers in the shopping district.

- motivation! i think impulse already HAS good motivation in a way where he’s just sort of snapping. how would that carry to pearl n gem in a way that accentuates their part in this without making it all abt impulse? i want it to be a common resolution they all come to rather than ‘well hes doing it. might as well go down with this ship’***

- go nuts. with character, concept, creativity- i want them to do whatever they want and have fun with it. i want to see them cause CONTROVERSY over how much fun it is. new skins, maybe a new build to accentuate the arc if they’d like, i wanna see them mess with grumbot or the king and cause an unlikely alliance between the king and the rebels to take on a shared enemy

- if they lose i want them to blow shit up with them. and if we’re being self indulgent, i want a reference to double life as they do it

*not that i think devotional loyalty that leads to losing your morals is BAD- thats what makes a lot of stories good and appealing and dramatic- i just think theres already a lot of. well woobification when it comes to female mcyts (or making them into responsible parental figures or ‘girlbosses’ with no other characterization beyond ‘look! woman do cool thing! arent i so inclusive?’) and i think the best deviation from that is doing what happened to pearl during double life.

basically; Wet Cat-ification. somehow thats ended up making such a good three dimensional perspective on a character? still keeping her as competent and strong but mind addled and flawed, strong at times weak at others. dont get me wrong theres probably times when it becomes too much but i like it a lot more than the alternatives and its felt very much more inclusive lol.

I want villains to have reason, even if its stupid, and i want my villains to be villains because THEY choose to, not because its the easiest way to explain it (and i dont think we can do a fast loyalty arc in Hermitcraft)

i try my BEST not to let fandom get in my way of how i view ships bc i always see ships in a non canonical way. so if you want you can fold a ship into whatever way you want whether its aus, fix it fics, or whatever. i especially try not to let the popularity of a ship get in the way of how much i like a ship, im very fond of rarepairs and crackships but i dont consider myself someone who cant bring themselves to like popular ships or even brags about liking.. ANYTHING that isnt mainstream

but there comes a POINT where when ALL of the content you see for a character youre fond of is ABOUT A SINGLE SHIP that you start hating the ship and maybe even the other character involved. it hurts even more when its a ship you fell out of love with.

yes, im talking soudam AGAIN bc kazuichi has rotted my brain so badly that i feel like i cant even go a single day without thinking of him, AND I BARELY EVEN INTERACT W/ THE DR FANDOM ANYMORE. one of my ocs was just a genderbent au i made of him that looked distinct enough i just took it and ran. thats how bad it is. (tbh i do just like the color pink and... sharp.. teeth.. so thats probably why. hes pathetic too which just makes it x2 as good)

look, i dont think that ppl who ship soudam are inherently bad ppl. i dont really care about what ppl ship as long as theyre 1) not shipping real ppl and 2) not shoving it in other peoples faces. and i dont see any soudam shippers directly doing that. i was a soudam shipper, and honestly, i can see why ppl ship it. its an interesting dynamic.

bbbutt.. i dont ship it! i personally dont care for it anymore, or even just general dr stuff. i should probably get into dr stuff more sense i feel like other than skullgirls and cookie run, im a bit lost when it comes to fandoms nowadays. but i still really like kazuichi and, by extension, sonia and their ship sounia. so every now and then i look for content abt them whether its for comfort or horniness, or just bc i want to. and a big theme i see is soudam. everywhere. its not unbareable especially on a site like tumblr where i can block certain tags and words. but even with that blocking, soudam can still clog it up meaning its harder for me to find content i like.

its even worse when some of that content is intentionally made to spam tags. an example would be what happened on instagram a while back, im not sure if that many other people noticed it, where ppl would spam dr ship tags with things such as “hey ur ship sucks xoxo”, feet, and in the worst case scenario, gore and self harm.

its even worse (take a sip everytime i say that) when you bring in stuff like antis and proshippers which, IS A CAN OF WORMS I DO NOT WANT TO GO INTO. i dont use either label, i hate antis but i really fucking hate proshippers. which is why i dont like ppl labeling all sounia shippers as proshippers because.. no. no i am not. you cant dictate what side someone is on in a silly shipping war based of a single thing they like. i know damn well there are sounia shippers who are proship, anti, somewhere in the middle, and the same can be said abt soudam shippers. which is why i hate how soudam shippers are seen as morally good and sounia shippers are seen as gross. i just wanna see some pathetic lil guy try and fail to woo a girl, i dont wanna argue about what ship is superior. neither are illegal, so they are both equal.

in conclusion; there are and will be a lot of soudam shippers. i dont care. i just want to be left alone, but soudam is hard to ignore. dont try to call any soudam shippers poopyheads, lets all just try to be nice and respect one another. sorry if this seems like a hate rant, because it is. i am frustrated. didnt mean for this to become an 8 paragraph essay, but thats just what happened.

i started watching arc v! finally. after years of saying Im Gonna. its Happening. (i've tried to twice and cant recall what eps i got to in those attempts, because I literally dont remember anything at ALL LMAO) I'm like, 15 eps in and may I just say some Things. ep 1-15 thoughts below the Cut

-yuzu best girl immediately my god shes already been done dirty tho. she shouldve gotten to fight shingo! fuck emo yuya for stopping it and stepping in! (altho yaaaay xyz :3 my beloved) and also she loses the first duel we see her get to do? when her dad is literally the owner of a duel school?? and his school was at stake?? bc she was distracted thinking of Not Yuya? no. fuck off with that lol I'm picking her up and mentally rewriting all that. the girl she dueled against was super fun tho, I ship them tbh.

-yuya is finally the canonical clown ygo protag I needed. he dresses as a clown in ep 1! he has! a circus deck! thats so fun! hes a LOT more melancholic/prone to moodiness than I expected...the goggles as a mood indicator is fun. also seems to care VERY much what ppl think/need lots of applause and praise or he gets upset quickly which. like, wanting to put smiles on ppls faces with dueling is a sweet goal, but a lot of it feels self-serving, too, which is Inchresting for a protag...I LIKE it and want to see where it goes

-and the whole 'laugh when you want to cry' is, ngl, very Bad and Unhealthy and I cant imagine we're going anywhere good with that. (seriously, dont recall what ep, maybe 4 or 5, when the kids and yuzu were in danger he started LAUGHING trying to imrpove his own mood and i was like DUDE. UNNERVING STOP THAT.) let him feel his feelings guys. or this is going to go severely Bad I Think

-dont trust sora but also no shit? his intro is him being sus, basically outright saying 'ya where I come from everyone does fusion, nbd' yeah hes some kind of spy or SOMETHING for that academia that emo yuya was taking abt. and his deck is very cute but also has a dark side/creepy cute thing going on and this is ygo where Decks Indicate Personality, so. just kinda Waiting for him to Stab Backs. hes already kind of a little shit

-he 100% shouldve been dueling that guy gongenzaka had to duel! gongenzaka doesnt even GO here and ms Chairman said someone from this school had to duel her school students! if you want to fake being friends with yuya! you need to fucking put in some EFFORT!!! and at least pretend to give a shit dude, this is the school the guy you supposedly admire attends!!! it comes off as u not giving a fuck abt anything besides pendulum/yuya-related stuff which is gonna make yuya less inclined to wanna be ur friend bc u look like a brat! (I know the meta answer is that they wanted to give gongenzaka some screentime to convince me hes yuyas bff or w/e but. in my mind its been 10 or so eps by this point, yuzu is yuyas bff in my mind lol. )

-anyway that aside soras deck is SO cute. the BEARS!! ARE IN!!!! the 'acting younger/cuter than u are' shtick is already kind of annoying tho. I do like his chara design tho (at least his hair/face? Id redesign his outfit ngl if hes going for a cutecore/sweets theme why not go ALL in yk)

-gongenzaka's whole 'no spells/traps' and standing in one spot during an action duel is objectively really funny

-action duels in general are SO FUN!!! i want to ride my monsters too..i kno theyd be soft. pls.

-really wanted to see more masumi or her vs yuya!!! so sad reiji stepped in. pls let the girls DO MORE!!! i love that she used gem knights!! I love gem knights!!!

-didnt know reiji used d/d/d cards, immediately broke out into a cold sweat upon seeing them. those decks always destroy me in duel links in like 2 turns jkasfkjjn.

-its so funny theres entire classes just for synchro and xyz and most ppl in this world can just Do One of them Only. like everyone being SHOCKED reiji can do All of them LMAO.

-surprised at how much I like reiji actually from just what ive seen up to this point, I mean I Like the other ygo rivals and all but usually they have an Attitude...but hes very polite to yuya and him saying he respects yuya's dad is REFRESHING compared to everyone else calling his dad a coward (for?? seemingly going MISSING??) his fashion choices leave a lot to be desired tho. but otherwise him and yuzu are my favs so far I think...we'll see if this changes!

-I KNOW charas from other series get involved, dont know WHEN thatll be, but I am Excitedly Waiting. give me The King Jack. Give me Kaito. I dont know who all besides those two shows up Actually But Im WAITING AAAA.

i recently saw a post about nct, saying that ppl are writing sexual fics between the members. for example, it would prob be like johnnyxyuta or something. granted, i don’t really like fics like those. but the comments of the posts made me feel quite bad about even liking fanfics in general. i don’t read or write any harmful fics at all. but some comments were like, “ppl who write or read fanfictions are weird.” “fanfics are fucking disgusting” “they’re gross, it doesn’t matter if they’re nsfw or not” “ur obsessed if ur into fanfics” now i feel so bad, am i really obsessive? i just enjoy reading and writing and people write amazing things and i want to show them that their work doesn’t go unappreciated. it just makes me feel like i’m doing something wrong and i feel so guilty.

I personally think that shipping members is taking it too far (for me) and I wouldn’t write that....

H o w e v e r. Fanfiction is and will always be a controversial form of self expression and art. It’s not for everyone but honestly...it’s not that deep. Ugh, how do I put this...

K-pop is built to use both male and female idols and romanticize them to the public for money making purposes. The industry thrives off of the relationship the fans have with the artist but its literally just that: capitalism lol. So if people have an issue with fics they should have an issue with the whole damn industry??I’m not trying to make this super technical but reading imaginary stories isn’t harming anyone since MOST people can differentiate fiction from reality. That’s why i’m against shipping members because it adds to realism and fans take it too far to the point where the idols in question actually get stressed tf out by it while its ruining their friendships and thats just wrong.

I’ve seen many kpop entertainments push the boyfriend concepts a little too far sometimes and I can’t control who reads my fics but I always put disclaimers that its fake and that the shit I write shouldn’t be taken too seriously even if that goes without saying, delusional ones will always be around its just inevitable.

What i’m trying to say with too many words is: reading and/or writing fics is all personal preference. And people will always have different views on this. In my opinion its just as much of fanart as drawings and covers and most of the time it offers an emotional and mental escape to the reader that often finds comfort in the idols in question anyway and honestly, theres nothing wrong with thats because its not harming anyone directly. It’s just taking the original ‘idol’ concept a little further by creating imaginary worlds, stories and interactions around their already public image.

All in all, read what you want and write what you want but be sure to not brainwash yourself into thinking you have any say what so ever in the personal life of the idol in question. We do not own them nor are we entitled to have an opinion on their personal lives and as long as you get that its fineeee trust me.

This was way too much of an extensive answer but I’ve been getting quite a few asks abt this stuff so by putting this out there I hope to never get them again lmaoo, hope it helped 😭✌🏽

Twst shipping names and twitter tagging etiquette:

*even if you do not ship adeuce, I highly recommend you read this if you intend on posting twst art/content on twitter because this is highly informative on jpn trigger warnings and general tags

After posting my question abt ♠️❤/❤♠️ on all my social medias I have come to the conclusion that our shipping communities are vastly different, surprisingly enough

The general consensus is that ❤♠️ is more popular but something I've noticed that's been very strict on twitter compared to here is. Shipping names

I've seen ppl refer to ❤♠️ as just adeuce, but that's actually new to me bc I refer to adeuce as just both of them in general. Idk if u guys know but, the jpn community is kinda strict with tagging and stuff unlike here. Any mlm shipping in twst must be tagged #twst_BL. You cannot tag it as :

Only #twst_BL or don't tag it at all. When it comes to adeuce, you tag it as #twst_BL as well, but the shipping names itself is:

*Those two tags are also used on pixiv, so make sure to not mix them up. If your art is ambiguous as to if it is ❤♠️ or ♠️❤, you may tag both.

We don't use adeuce when referring to a specific shipping dynamic of adeuce bc its something thats been introduced ingame, and I'm not 100% sure why, but I think it's because we don't want other shippers to feel like their ship is any less valid? I like both adeuce ships, but I lean towards ♠️❤, and if someone told me ❤♠️ is more valid than ♠️❤ because their "canon" ship name is adeuce, I'd be a bit miffed

Speaking of which, there are certain days dedicated to ♠️❤/❤♠️ in the fandom too, which is why you can't just...casually switch around the ship names

On the 12th of every month is ❤♠️ day and in the 21st of every month is ♠️❤ day
