Yeah it's sort of a mess I'm actively editing right now tbh, as I go through the midst of this Self-Realignment Ritual/Public facing Rebrand?

Its been a long time since I edited Tumblr themes so I'm doing a sloppy job of it. TBH I'd suggest people interested in my Homestuck content just use my blog as a link to the Apocryphon right now, since it's the most relevant and interesting thing I've done by far atm. Like I've said previously, I'd be happy if people just started talking about that with the #Pumpkin Path or #Pumpkin Track tag. As far as Im concerned, everything else on my blog ATM is a distraction.

Alternatively if they're looking for my analysis work, I'd suggest peeps try checking out my Medium profile. That was always where my best work was hosted; I never managed to port it all to Youtube practically and Tumblr just wasn't as good at letting me use images to supplement arguments.

I have major essays on Rose and Kanaya, Dave and Karkat, Jane Crocker and Gamzee Makara, Dirk Strider, the whole Active/Passive Class system, and Homestuck's influence from stuff like Gnosticism, The Neverending Story, and Earthbound/Mother 3 on there. Heck, there's even an essay or two on non-Homestuck subjects, like my ZEAL-published piece on BOKTAI: THE SUN IS IN YOUR HAND (2003) Of course there's also always the Youtube channel, and content should be getting started up again there relatively soon as well. By nature its also a bad idea to change branding too much on youtube, so fans of optimisticDuelist specifically can expect that house style to mostly stay the same, with maybe a surprise or two inside the framing of Youtube videos themselves (;3)

My tumblr is not exactly in a state for public consumption yet and I'm mostly using it as personal catharsis/to mess around and cope. General

Which characters/dynamics are you particularly interested in?

JJK – literally all common ones unless they’re illegal, particularly the first years & gojo (including all the variations - itafushi, platonic!itafushikugi, the gojo-megumi thing, the gojo-itadori thing, and of course, the much less explored megumi-nobara thing). No very-rare-pairs please, unless 100% platonic! I usually don’t like them. Also, bear in mind I may have to google characters if they come from Kyoto school because I literally forgot all their names.

HQ – I like most characters, but am especially fond of iwaoi and bokuaka (sakuatsu at a push). I love all team dynamics, with a special soft spot for the JNT and Seijoh. Again, no rare pairs please (even platonic, in this case) but I will know who most characters are!

TGCF: fengqing. I’m obsessed with fengqing. And hualian, of course. Basically Xianle trio + Hua Cheng and all their dynamics.

My favourite character is Hua Cheng, followed by Feng Xin, and then – you’ll hate me for this – Pei Ming. Please bear in mind that if you write about any niche characters from tgcf, or those that only appear later in the books, I will not know who they are :( He Xuan is about my limit for late-appearing characters, and he does not appear very late.

Do you mind which ships I use?

Not at all, as long as they aren't a major rarepair, or use characters I've never heard of. If you're not sure, don't be worried - you can always just ask! Either DM me or drop an ask in my inbox.

Are there any examples of found family you could suggest?

Yep! JJK is 100% found family, so there's no issue there - the school dynamic, gojo's dynamic with the students (particularly megumi), the first years' dynamic, the second years' dynamic, the teachers/adults dynamic...

HQ also has plenty of examples. Each team dynamic, duo dynamic, and mentor/mentee dynamic offers something new!

TGCF is a little harder. Nearly all the ships have an element of found family, but there's the Xianle trio and, if you want to get a bit ridiculous, the calamities can also be pretty funny if you wrangle them properly...

The Faux Pas au. Everything is the same except for the fact Faux Pas exists in the Tfaverse and is there to solely cause problems and go through problems.

Holoform/Humanformers au. Human Error if it actually happened, but Meltdown, Blackaracnia, and Soundwave are the main causes. All Cybertronians on earth turn into humans and is essentially a huge slice of life sitcom. Focused primarily around Starscream and his redemption arc.

Bounty-22 au. A work in progress, but Cybertronians and humans living in cowboy times. Prowl-centric in a way, him exploring the Wild West looking for vengeance and an artifact while traveling with an outlaw he doesn’t know is an outlaw. (The outlaw is Starscream, the best and worst liar in the west. I just really love Starscream, okay? But never fear, Lockdown plays a huge part in this au too. Because you can’t have cowboys without Lockdown.)

Zombies/Last of Us au. Yes, that’s right. Softbody robots and horrors beyond imagining. Another work in progress, but based around survival and zombies. No, none of the main cast die, I love them too much for that, they deserve their little community during the apocalypse.

Dead Space Au: A newly recruited Tfa Autobot Starscream replaces Isaac Clarke in the events of Dead Space. If you know Dead Space, you know he’s fucked mentally and physically. If you don’t know Dead Space, space zombies and serious fucked up shit. The Thing level horror. Know he is not coming out unscathed.

Tfa Ninjastar Twilight au: Exactly what it sounds like. The werewolves don’t exist here, and Starscream is the human in place of Bella. Takes no shit and runs most of the show because he’s Starscream. Meyer has no power here. I’m highjacking the lore and making all the characters suffer.

📌 Made a minor update to my pinned post; I removed the spreadsheet link since my buffer's running low and it'll be one less thing to worry about while I play catch-up. Also added a permanent ask game, mostly to give visitors / new followers a way to break the ice if they want to. I'll also add a link to this post to the pinned one.

🦷 I've moved my one Coco 'fic (That 4k contest entry I wrote September 2018) to the Anonymous collection. If you would still like the AO3 link, it's here (River Teeth). It's also currently available on my FFN.

🐶 Dog's Life Chapter 9 goes up on Tuesday, then Chapter 10 goes up on October 3rd. That's the last chapter of Session 1 and the 'fic will be on hiatus while I build the Session 2 buffer.

🎃 I expect to post a lot of short pieces in October; I'm giving myself a (tentative) monthly challenge so I can get rid of a bunch of WIPs without holding onto them for a year. Not committing to a full 31 days, but I've got a lot of little things that don't need to be masterpieces, so it should be a busy month. I'll probably do one announcement post each Friday instead of individual story announcements. Still very much playing this by ear and I might get busy IRL, but expect at least a few things.

I had a plan to post something Anti-Fairy related for Friday the 13th in October, but it's not playing nice with me so we'll see.

✍️ After October, I need to spend time rebuilding my 'fic buffers. I'd also like to update my table of contents tab and possibly the sideblog. In other words, expect a busy October for 'fic updates. November will probably be Traffic Season 5 drabbles and stuff (I'm guessing), and then we'll start winding down on 'fics during December and January. I'll probably post again in Feb or March; not sure yet.

🐾 A ton of Session 1 stuff I wrote for Dog's Life got bumped to Session 2 for pacing reasons, so I already have a lot done; I might start posting Session 2 as early as mid-November or early December, but stuff for Origin and Knots definitely needs polishing and will take longer. Not sure yet.

❤️ 2 months ago, I made a post talking about my ScarletPenguin pseud. That's the pseud where I keep any M works, and I wanted to explain how this works to people who may be unfamiliar (as I have a piece I'm working on that I'll probably post as M).

If you do not want to subscribe to me as a user, consider subscribing only to the 'fics you like or even to a series (ex: all the 130 Prompts are in the 130 Station series and you can get email notifs that way even though all those stories are posted individually).

I'm trying to post 130 Prompts in the 130 Station series before any others because I suspect that only the first series counts for the email alerts (Not sure). However, you can also subscribe to the individual trains if you like (Blue Train, for example, only contains Anti-Fairy content so maybe you're into that, etc.) I'm just not sure if you'll get an email since if you want to put a work in more than one series, you have to post the story and then edit it, and I'm not sure if that sends a notification.

I also don't know if you can have a series with two pseuds in it, or how that will affects the tag visibility on the series page. We'll see.

Hi! I've stumbled upon your "Determination, determinism and quantum mechanics" post while researching the topic of sans in connection to quantum mechanics, and I thought your post was pretty good. if you've written anything else on that subject i'd be interested in reading it (i think i found some just by searching your blog, but yanno how tumblr's search function is) and it'd be nice if you could point me in the right direction (but I'll understand if you don't have the time. Howdy howdy, and thank you so much! It means a lot that you liked that post. You've probably already seen the My Analyses page, which is frightfully out of date. Anything that didn't make it onto that page will still have a my analysis tag. But yeahhhHhHh... tumblr's search function is.... yeah.

I know that, before I made this sideblog, I wrote a few ideas about Sans and Gaster on my main. It's still on the My Analyses page for lefthanded-sans, but I want to bring up Gaster Destroyed Himself with the SAVE Function in case you haven't seen that one yet.

Unfortunately, it's also been several years since I've analyzed Undertale, so I don't remember if I have other posts that discuss Sans + quantum mechanics. Going to the archive for the first year of this blog is where you're most likely to find things, I think.

I also was going to explore this idea in depth in a fanfiction, Reset or Resume. I had SUCH a long and COMPLICATED series of charts for how this story was to come together, and I was so excited for its epicness. Eheh. But I got tired and busy and never finished it, and instead of posting it with fanfare a chapter at a time as planned, shyly tossed the unfinished product all at once onto FFN at an obscure hour. I don't think I got to major quantum physics stuff, but I want to be helpful bringing up anything on the subject on the rare chance it helps you.

I do talk on the opening author's notes page on point #4 about a quantum physics inspo, but obviously, in many cases, creative writing details for flavor are going to be different than actually-thought-through-meta-theories (though I will say that if my characters make hyper-specific scientific references or name a paper author, that's probably referencing an actual article). Shoot, I'm sure I had story ideas that I never wrote down that were more meta...... hrmh.

If you have any posts that you've found or written, I'd be interested seeing those! This convo is re-sparking my interest in this area.

Lastly, I want to speak with humility to make sure people know the level to which they should be taking me "seriously." My college background was in linguistics and music. I enjoyed sciences in high school, but I am very, very clearly neither a hard sciences expert nor amateur, and shouldn't be taken as someone who knows or has any expertise on quantum mechanics.

Hey, this is Melons, aka Buck or Pepsi. Here's my otherkin and alterhuman blog, since I want to have that on a separate blog from my main. I'm 25, queer, and use he/him pronouns.

General DNI criteria applies, including pro-shippers (ie people who enjoy producing, consuming, or discussing material that sexualizes minors, adult/minor relationships, or incest). Sorry to open with this one, but I'm a survivor and want nothing to do with any of that. Also, expressly calling out TERF/radfem/gendercrit, however you want to say it, as well. I don't consent to interaction from you, even if you keep it to a secret sideblog or something.

With that being said, here's my about-me under the cut.

I am a DID system, but we run this blog relatively collectively, and the alterhuman identities here are ones shared by most of us, or at least all major hosts. Because of that, we will be collectively referring to ourselves with I/Me/Myself, unless referring to a specific alter. Our main is @melon-arts and @pepsiwatermelon.

Also, due to my DID, I have severe memory problems- if you want me to unfollow perminantly, please hard-block me. I won't remember that I've been soft-blocked, and will refollow the next time I see your blog if I recognize it. I don't soft-block, but I hard-block extremely freely.

I'm by far not new to the otherkin community- my other two main kintypes are dragonkin, discovered around 2014-2015, and angelkin, discovered around 2016-ish. I run the blog @modernangelsuggestion as well, among a few others, but I'm not really active there anymore. I'm exploring the possibility of being a deer otherkin/therian, specifically a white-tailed deer.

I see otherkin personally as a spiritual experience, and am not really "kin for fun". I don't reject the concept, and my "kin limitus test" has always been "if you look at something and go 'Me!' you're probably otherkin". However, my personal experiences tend to run a little deeper than that, so do please keep that in mind while interacting.

I'm also in the process of fully deconstructing and examining my moral code and system. I might talk about that here, but I'm not sure yet. In effect though, I'm working on removing the Fundamentalist moral framework that I was brought up with- I had thought that I had rid myself of most of it, but I've found myself falling back into old thought patterns of shame, so I've decided to pick it apart entirely, and put it back together from scratch. Because of its mental proximity to spirituality, I might bring it up here.

I am ex-christian. I don't currently identify with any religious movements, but sometimes dabble in spirituality. I do not want christians trying to re-convert me in any capacity, but I'm happy to discuss spirituality with them or to have interaction with them, as long as there's a clear boundary that I do not want to be proselytized to. Other faiths and religions are also welcome, with that same boundary, though as I'm less familiar with them I'm less likely to have anything insightful to say relating.

I am not an 18+ blog in the sense that any minors can follow me, however I ask you blog the tag #spicytime , in case I discuss adult/nsfw topics. It's unlikely, but I like having that in my back pocket. I'd also like to emphasize that I will block any minors interacting with a post tagged #spicytime.

I do my best to tag triggers, but I often forget and am often on mobile as well. @until-the-sun-rises - This is a Sanders Sides zombie apocalypse au that I cowrite with my friend @buzz-by-bee. It’s been a long time since we updated it because life has been crazy busy, but just like all the other blogs here, it’s technically not a Dead AU, just on pause temporarily.

@paws-and-claws-au - This is another Sanders Sides collab, this time with my friend @thegremlinprince, but this blog is technically Dead. The most recent post there explains it in more detail, but I’m actually going to rewrite the story from the ground up to adjust to the lore changes that have happened in Sanders Sides since Grim and I started writing this story. I’m just leaving the blog up until I do so, so that the story doesn’t disappear.

@the-twisted-ones-au - This is a placeholder blog for an idea I had for a Sanders Sides fantasy au where magic users are either hunted down and killed or forced to serve the crown…I haven’t gotten around to starting it yet, but if that sounds interesting to you give the blog a follow! I’m sure I’ll write it some day…

@bad-at-bullet-journaling - Ah, a non-sanders sides blog! This is my (rarely used but still nice to have) bullet journaling sideblog, built on the philosophy of “It doesn’t matter if the journal is pretty, it just needs to be functional for You.”

@the-muppets-present - So my husband and I think it’s funny to try and do that thing where you replace the entire cast of a movie with muppets except for One Human Guest Star (in the vein of Muppet Christmas Carol or Muppet Treasure Island) and I thought it’d be fun to do that on tumblr. I haven’t actually DONE any of them yet, but when I want to, I at least have a place to! I occasionally reblog muppet stuff there too, but not often.

@music-for-the-kidz - So sometimes I find good music stuff on here that I want my students to see but I don’t want them to see my url or to see some of the comment threads ON said videos, so this is a clean blog where I can reblog those video safely and anonymously. I used it way more last year when I was teaching middle school general music during since the pandemic kept me from having band and choir like normal.

And the last one, I won’t tell you the url for, because the whole point of it is that it’s anonymous. I haven’t used it in like 6 months, but the idea was to have a place to reblog or post stuff that I didn’t want to put on my main because it was just ASKING for trouble and by trouble I mean stupid discourse. So yeah, even though I don’t really use it anymore, still not giving that url out.

Oh, look, I finally made a pinned post.  Okay, here’s the important stuff:

Hi!  I’m Marijn (rhymes with line, if you’re curious).  I’m a 26-year-old aroace nonbinary person (they/them pronouns).  I have ADHD, so sometimes I’ll get a hyperfixation and my blog will temporarily become mostly that thing for a bit.  I’ll try to keep my current hyperfixation updated in the blog description. Originally, I didn’t try to keep any kind of organization on this blog.  And by originally I mean “for the first few years.”  So a HUGE chunk of my posts aren’t tagged, or only tagged for common triggers and what I wanted to save.  I now try to maintain some kind of organization, though, so I’m making a list of tags I use here.  Also lists of my main fandoms, blorbos, OCs, and sideblogs. Important note: I’m a proshipper, by which I mean I think people should be able to make whatever they want in fandom as long as they tag and warn appropriately.  Personally, I don’t like pedophilia or incest in my fiction, so you’re not going to find anything genuinely pedophilic or incestuous (fictional or not) on my blog.  But if you don’t like proshippers for whatever reason, I’m telling you now so you can block me.  I think blocking is an important part of curating one’s online experience, and block pretty liberally, so I won’t be offended, and would actually prefer if you blocked me so we can’t interact by accident.  If you harass me instead, then...I guess it’s a good thing I never check my inbox, ha.

@fmamangacaps - Photoshop counts as art. Their cleaning up of manga panels and tagging system is a godsend.

@humming-fly - you probably already follow them but their team greed comics are just so funny!! I always have at least one of their pieces in my drafts that I'm procrastinating on IDing lol. Multifandom.

@pumi-envy - just. lots of art of Envy. Sometimes I'm looking through the Envy tag and the majority of it is me and this artist. I love that for us. Their style's super cute. All FMA. (again. check the notes on their art 'cause I reblog and ID everything they put on my dash)

@hanamuri / @royriza - literally the sweetest person and runs like 4 blogs which is iconic. Her psychoanalysis of FMA characters is super interesting. All FMA.

Other writers I love

I have a habit of reserving way too many books from the library meaning that I haven't gotten around to reading most fanfics yet, oops. That's on me.

@ta1k-less - I adore her writing style!! Fun fact, one of her atla fics was probably the first multichap fic I had finished in roughly five years. She's very funny. Love how she fleshes out Ishvalan culture. Also draws sometimes and has started IDing her own art. Mostly FMA, multifandoms, tags fandoms.

@edisacornball - boomer he knows Edward very well, if that makes sense. Like, reading his fics I can tell that he understands Edward as a character very well. His Edwin fics are great. Has been in the FMA fandom for 15 years or something, which is crazy to me. Multifandom, mostly FMA.

@calangkoh - metas count as writing. So not a fic writer, but their 03 metas are wonderful. Obvious spoilers for 03 if you haven't seen it yet. Sideblog, all FMA.

Well fuck, now I'm realizing that I haven't gotten around to reading any fics from the vast majority of the writers I follow. Y'all are such lovely people sorry I still need to read your fics!! I gotta update this list once I get my act together and clean up my AO3 marked for later list, lol.
