Joyce staying at the cabin with Hopper and El to keep them safe bc no one in Hawkins knows they’re alive. Will, Jonathan and Argyle staying at the Wheeler's bc they have more room and presumably aren't in danger like the others.
OH WAIT there's a witch hunt for the Hellfire club, which means all the boys are in danger from the townspeople. OH WAIT the boy who came back to life has returned from the West, the same boy whose assumed death jumpstarted this small town's curse in the first place! The same boy who apparently everyone and their fathers knew was gay...
THE END IS NEAR! THE GAYS ARE RESPONSIBLE!
+ Time jump early somewhere in between.
Now picture how that would look in an 8 episode story format, leading up to a final battle lasting about 2+ hrs, and that's loosely how s5 is gonna go down.

i love the idea of a fantasy!din au because Imagine being a princess and hearing that a fearsome warrior is riding into your kingdom and that he belongs to a group of knights known for being incredibly skilled fighters and then some dude shows up on horseback with absolutely no money to his name and a small child that keeps trying to steal things at the town market whenever he turns his back

CHAPTER FIFTEEN ; 1/3
TRANSCRIPT:
antoin: Tsk. Did I ruffle her feathers?
luca: Do you think this is a game, Antoin? Because she is trying to be a good leader. You are simply trying to be a war hero again.
a: Hm. Maybe you are infatuated with her.
l: Infatuated? Hah! Try madly and unreasonably in love, you prick!
a: [stands up] Luca, look at you! All flustered and defensive! Of course you would fall for the unobtainable!
l: She is not something to obtain, Antoin.
a: No, of course not. But you? Your loyalty, your trust? That is something she has already succeeded in obtaining.
l: If you are insinuating that the Empress has ulterior motives, then you are sorely mistaken.
a: Everyone has ulterior motives, dear brother.
l: How sad of an existence you must live to doubt everything that everyone says.
a: Hmph.

Kinda neat that like the two key elements/tropes of most fiction podcasts are either some sort of homage to analog audio format (cassette tapes/radio broadcast) as a literal formatting and/or motif, and an emphasis on the visual which we aren't given (eyes) through the plot and/or imagery/symbolism. The pieces we are given, and the pieces we are not. Bonus points to a podcast if it hits both of those

this is a trap
i've asked my friends—i don't think my heart is supposed to slow
there are eyes like lanterns in your walls that watch over me
wash over me in thousands of currents
and for more than a night's worth suddenly i can do without the sun. this, i know.
this is a trap and my leg is stuck between your teeth and i thank you
there's a buzz like dying bees in the middle of your bed that rocks me
washes over me in tens of thousands of currents
so for a couple of days at least i won't for a second feel the need for slumber
and this, most certainly, i know.
this is a trap and i’m bleeding out and i’ve been told to let go and yet still i stand by
there it is that smell of rot coming from the inside of your chest like a fish left out in the sun that charms me
washes over me in hundreds of thousands of currents
and for much of the time to come i’ll be entirely forgetting to eat
this, beyond all reasonable doubt, i do know.
i'm just not so sure my heart is supposed to stop

which Monogatari characters do you think would be most likely to attend a gay wedding between two people they don't know just because they think gay marriage is cool?
i thought about this for a while but i think ultimately i'd have to say the fire sisters
karen would go and be like cheering and clapping and stuff and she'd go up to the couple and say like 'if anyones bothering you just give me a call and i'll take care of them for you...' and they'd have no idea who she is but everyone there would love her
and tsukihi would go with her as a tagalong, but also bc she probably enjoys weddings for the party and celebration of love and the good vibes but mostly the party (i think if there was no party she wouldn't go, or she would leave lmao)
alternatively, nadeko might go but leave after like 5 seconds because she remembers she doesn't know the couple and feels really awkward about it. likely she'd be roped into it by tsukihi
it also helps that theyre all gay as well
