Could I request headcanons of Idia, Cater, and Vil with an s/o that is a former idol singer?
Hey, thank you for the ask! This was from a while ago but I'm finally getting some time to answer some asks. Hope you enjoy!
Idia, Cater, Vil with a former idol!s/o
Idia
Probably loved all of your albums since you first started out he almost had a heart attack when he saw you walking around on campus like "omg that's literally you?!"
Ortho might've been the one to expose Idia to you haha. He just went up to you and was like "my big brother really likes your music!" and Idia's like 0////0
When you two start hanging out together, as always, he's a bit shy. He will be awkward with you and might have a hard time maintaining eye contact. However, if you take him to a karaoke date, he might break out of his shell a little bit. His singing skills are amazing honestly you might be the one surprised than himself lol
He's your biggest fan, even if you were an idol in the past he's extremely supportive of your music. I think if you two were to ever do dances together he would know how to do all of those chants and stuff. It's something he never does in front of people, so it's like a little secret between you two
Overall, he's really shy, often stammering and blushing but once you get to know him he's extremely caring. He gives you a safe space to be in when you get overwhelmed by assignments, fans that never let go of your idol days, etc. I think it would be a lot of fun being with him and he would be someone that cares a lot about you
Cater
He might seem at first like the perfect person for a former idol because you two seem so bright and upbeat on camera. However, the two of you might feel tired of the camera and would rather wind down with some alone time. That's why you two bonded
He didn't really follow your idol career but he heard some of your songs from his sisters. I think he would like your voice a lot and thinks that your really cute, but he would be the most understanding of the stress that comes with being an idol outside of Vil
I think you two might enjoy going on dates to take nice photos together, just for you two and for no one else. In the future, you two will look back at those pictures and remember all the good memories that were made. He definitely has a digital album of you two and it's literally the cutest
He will make sure you're comfortable wherever you are. If you ever feel stressed out or unsafe, just give him a call and he'll help out! He might just show up and walk you back during the night for example, or he might talk with you on the phone when you had a nightmare and you're far from him. He's really attentive
Similar to Idia, he provides you a space to breathe that you might've not gotten when you were an idol. The two of you might like listening to the songs you made and doing some of the dances for fun, but to him you're not just a former idol, you're y/n and he loves all aspects of you
Vil
I feel like he knew who you were immediately when you showed up in his class. However, he didn't want to make you uncomfortable so he mentioned it to you when you guys were just by yourselves. He didn't think he would fall in love with you until you two started hanging out more and more and then he was like "shoot I have feelings and I don't know how to handle this"
When you guys start dating, I think you would realize how understanding he is of your life as a former idol. He's been in the spotlight for years and years, which means he has a lot of experiences that you share. He's extremely caring about that, from things like nosy journalists to just regular day-to-day stress he's there to make you feel better. He might be a bit direct with his advice, but he makes sure you feel better
He wants you to know that you're more than just your idol persona and that he fell in love with you because of who you are. You have amazing talents in singing and dancing, but you're also someone that empathized with him and showed him kindness. He loves you for that, and he feels like the best he can do as your boyfriend is to make sure you feel supported and loved.
I feel like you two might have some fun just singing some songs together when you guys hang out. Like why not just bust out a theater song? Maybe you guys are both theater kids haha. Nonetheless he does have a lot of interest in music and theater, so you two probably bonded over that to some extent. Outside of that though, you two have also had fun just winding down from a long week with some self-care
To him, you matter a lot so expect a lot of care from him. You might not feel tired but he can sense that you're under stress, which means he might force a quick relax session with you before you take care of the many assignments you have that week. He also knows that because of your former idol years, you probably didn't have a lot of time for yourself so he wants you to be comfortable and able to have free time now that you're a student at NRC. Nonetheless, just know that he wants to support you in the best ways possible.

최승철 / S.Coups / seungcheol
The thing is he is open to trying any fantasy his partner might have so even if this isn't something he would bring up to you, he would totally try on a skirt or dress for you if you asked him to. That being said, he will still be a bit shy and insecure at this first experience so he would need lots of praise and reassurance to feel comfortable and have the confidence to put on a skirt/dress in the future.
"Uhm, are you sure?" he stuttered after you showed him a skirt you'd bought for him.
You answered yes.
"O-Okay," he flushed and took the garment in his hand.
He'll wear it occasionally if you ask him to do it (only if the first time went well) but he'll never initiate it. It just isn't his thing. But if he were desperate for your attention anything is possible.
...✧...✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Tumblr media
윤정한 / jeonghan
Jeonghan wouldn't question it at all when you brought up how you wanted to see him in a skirt/dress. Honestly he lives to please you. When you're pleased he's pleased. He'd not care that it isn't socially acceptable because he never really cared for norms or gender stereotypes anyway. Please call him your cute Prince or else he'll feel self-counscious every time he wears a skirt/dress.
"Of course, Mommy," he answered your question and let you put it on him — he liked the attention, the touching and letting you take off and put on his clothes like he was your doll.
He did a little twirl and asked with his sweet voice "Do I look cute, Mommy?"
In the future, he'll have a big collection of different styles of skirts — and he loves matching them with thigh highs. He loves feeling pretty and he loves being called pretty.
✧...✧...✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Tumblr media
홍지수 / joshua / josh
Joshua wouldn't believe his ears when he heard your request... He'd love it and immediately put on the skirt/dress with no problem whatsoever — he'd be pretty educated on anything about boys in skirts but don't ask him about it. Prepare your camera, he'd love to have his photo taken. Especially on a polaroid camera, so you can save the pictures in a filthy photo album.
"I look pretty, right?" he spread his legs a little, leaning forward with his arms in the middle as a pose for the picture.
"So pretty, Princess," you said as you photographed him.
He smiled and posed some more.
In the future he'll go further with it, surprising you every now and then with thigh-high socks or stockings and who knows what more. If you don't know what to buy for him as a gift, go for a blush colored little skirt.
✧✧...✧...✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Tumblr media
文俊辉 / jun
Total brat. Jun would make a big deal out of it just to get on your nerves. This was a fun game to him. He'd say something just to piss you off so you could punish him.
"Hmm no, Mistress. That's just stupid."
You slapped his thigh.
Suddenly he listened to you and did what you told him.
"I look better than you in this, Mistress," he smirked.
He'll use it as a way to effectively receive punishments. In fact, he might even send you a pic in a short skirt when you're at work or hanging out with friends, just to tease you so you could give him pain in the night.
✧✧✧...✧...✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Tumblr media
권순영 / hoshi / soonyoung
He would do anything for his Mommy. He's such a good boy for you! Being an angel for you was always one of his main priorities but he also liked being a demon every now and then. With a blush he would put on the skirt and crop top you'd bought for him in front of you just to tease you. Your eyes on him would turn him on.
"Are you trying to seduce me?" you asked as you looked him up and down.
"Is it working, Mommy?" he straddled you to make the skirt/dress rise up his naked legs.
This will be something he'll use as a tool to make you drool, surprising you in a skirt and crop top on special occasions.
✧✧✧✧...✧...✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Tumblr media
전운우 / wonwoo
He would be a brat about it at first but he'd put on a skirt/dress for you in the end — fuck, he'd even put on a Shrek costume if you asked him. He'd act like he totally didn't like the way the skirt made his legs look and would whimper-complain like a bitch about wearing a skirt/dress, but he also wants to keep the skirt on while you fuck him so.
"Pfft."
You spanked his ass.
Hard.
"Okay," he stripped in a second in front of you shamelessly.
"Can you put it on for me, Master, please?" he asked in a low voice and looked you in the eyes innocently.
He wasn't innocent.
Skirts will be his favorite over dresses because then you could both fuck him and play with his nipples at the same time! But he won't tell you that unless you break him down into tears and whimpers.
✧✧✧✧✧...✧...✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Tumblr media
이지훈 / woozi / jihoon
He would protest at first. No, he was already small and played around with — a lot at that — and that was enough. However, if you were to say he'd get a reward for just putting on a skirt/dress he wouldn't hesitate to do it.
"No, I won't do it!" he pouted.
"Not even for a reward?" you asked, as you knew his weakness.
His ears perked up, "What kind of reward are we talking about?"
"Whatever reward you want, Baby."
He'll do whatever you want if he gets rewarded. So make sure to reward him really well and he will dress up for you more often.
✧✧✧✧✧✧...✧...✧✧✧✧✧✧
❝ Baby, keep me wetter than a bayou (Bayou)
If you don't, I'ma walk right by you ❞

ღ Of course! I apologize if there are issues with this fic, because i’m not very familiar with the style despite trying to learn about it 😭 Fun facts and criticism is VERY MUCH appreciated in the comments, so don’t be afraid to comment
ღ Gang we’re like 21 followers away from 100… i’m shivering in boots ‼️‼️ Tysm for following me omg
ღ Here’s a couple headcannons for if Hobie was with a punk partner (relationship goals, shout out to all my punk lovers I aspire to be like you)
ღ Paring: Hobie Brown and a GN! Punk reader 🙏
ღ Previous part can be found here !
Tumblr media
• Whenever the two of you go out together, you always make an effort to go to your local record store. It has become a tradition between you and Hobie to buy two records (preferably of a song that the other hasn’t listened to or knows about) each and gift them to the other at the end of the trip. This helps broaden your guys’ music taste, introduce each other to a new possible favorite band, and just be a bonding experience all together
“The Skids?” You question while looking down at the album in your hands, intrigued by the vibrant colors on the cover. Hobie only nods his head, looking down at the records you had gotten for him. “Mhm, one of my favorites. You’ll like it luv, I promise.”
• No matter what either of you say, you and Hobie are both history nerds. Especially about punk history. So there’s no doubt that whenever you both are on call or are just relaxing in your room in silence, one of you are bound to start a conversation with a history fact. And for the next couple of hours, you’ll both be ranting and exchanging facts to each other
• Since you guys have practically the same style, you often find yourself taking some of Hobie’s jackets, pins, jewelry, etc. Hobie doesn’t mind, in fact, it gets his heart racing whenever he sees you in something that belonged to him at one point (let’s be fr, he isn’t gonna get shit back). So don’t be surprised when you catch him leaning against the doorway to your room, watching you try on one of his leather jackets or ripped jeans with a small smirk and a blush coating his face 🤭
“Y’know, it’s rude to stare” “I just can’t ‘elp it luv, not when something so pretty is right ‘front of me” Hobie cooed, causing you to blush from the tone of his voice. “Whatever…”
• You’re Hobie’s #1 hype person during the concerts he participates in (he doesn’t like consistency, so obviously he switches it up a lot and plays with different bands). This makes him go absolutely WILD. Just seeing you go full on crazy and vibe to the song he’s playing makes him 🥺. Hobie makes it a requirement for you to go to every one of his gigs, which obviously, you don’t mind at all
• You always get a front row view during his concerts, no questions asked. While you’re jamming away to the song his band is performing, Hobie is staring directly at you (somehow managing to not mess up his playing). And when you notice this and finally meet his gaze, the bastard doesn’t even look the least bit shamed or embarrassed. He even sends you a wink, making you the embarrassed one instead
• Hobie dedicates songs to you. Hell, bro will full on WRITE songs for you. He just loves you so much, and wants to show you that in a form that you both bond over constantly every single day. And when Hobie does dedicate a song to you, he makes it very clear to the audience. This makes you want to stomp on him with your platform boots, but it also makes you want to pull him in by the collar of his shirt and kiss him all over his face
“This one is for my arsekicker, _____. Didn’t tell em I was gonna do this before ‘and, since they would ‘ave done just that.” Hobie announced, meeting your sharp glare with a wink and his usual smug smirk. You shook your head, feeling your face burn as the band started to play.

LOVEJOY: “WE ALWAYS LIKE TO BE CONSTANTLY PUSHING OURSELVES”
Lovejoy is in this article!
We speak to the Brighton quartet about their recent US tour, their career so far, and what it was like being involved in Spotify’s recent Our Generation pop-up.
Nowadays, it can feel like an increasingly rare sight to see an independent guitar band rise rapidly through the album charts; so when Lovejoy’s EP ‘Pebble Brain’ reached Number 12 in late 2021, it certainly caused a few ripples.
The Brighton quartet - who recently released their new EP ‘Wake Up & It’s Over’ - have had the luxury of an in-built fanbase from day one, thanks to the sizeable audience that frontman William Gold had been able to build through his own Twitch and YouTube channels, but as their music so far indicates, Lovejoy are more than worth their early success.
Charged by their Top 40 single ‘Call Me What You Like’, there’s an infectious, ebullient energy to their music, spearheaded by the soaring riffs of lead guitarist Joe Goldsmith and the rock-solid rhythm of Ash Kabosu’s bass and Mark Boardman’s drums.
As if to cement the hype, last month, the band released a Spotify Singles project that included a stripped back version of ‘Call Me What You Like’, alongside a cover of beabadoobee’s ‘The Perfect Pair’, and they also played a rare, intimate acoustic show as part of Spotify’s Our Generation pop-up event in London.
We caught up with the band halfway through a string of US dates that are the biggest shows of their career to date, to discuss their recent shifts in sound, making sense of their early success and the joys of playing such small shows.
You’re in the middle of a US tour, playing the biggest shows of your careers so far out there. How’s it been going?
Will Gold: It’s been really cool, and very different. It’s really nice to be going to different states that we’ve never seen before. I never thought I’d ever see Tennessee, and yet here I am, sat in Tennessee!
Ash Kabosu: In Dallas last night, we had, I think, the loudest crowd we’ve ever had. On the decibel counter on the sound-desk, it hit over 120. The previous record was Glasgow. It was crazy.
Will: 120 is what you get when you’re stood next to a jet engine.
Ash: It’s fine, when we go back to Glasgow, they’re just going to have to scream louder.
What is life on the road like with Lovejoy, what’s a normal day in the life?
Mark Boarman: It’s really fun, we’re having a fucking blast. Nashville was awesome, we went out on Broadway and we watched a bunch of country bands, they were all really fucking talented. And just the vibes were great, everyone was just singing and dancing and having a fun time. Nashville just loves music and it was really cool to see that, but then also to play there. It really felt like a bit of a proving ground for us. To be able to put on a show there and actually impress people, that’s amazing. The calibre of stuff that they’re used to is very high, so that felt like a crowning moment, for me at least.
Can you sense the difference in crowds between the UK and US?
Will: I feel like I’m performing more in front of American crowds, which isn’t a better or worse feeling, but it’s very different. In Europe, especially when we were in France, it felt like a big party that I was invited to, whilst here I definitely feel a bit more of a ‘being on stage’ kind of vibe.
As we speak, your EP is about to be released, and it’s the first one you’ve released in 18 months. Do you think listeners will be surprised by what they hear from the new stuff – do you feel the band has moved on sonically since 2021?
Ash: Yes, very much so. This is an entirely new era of music for us. I think we’re pulling from some slightly different influences; overall, it’s a bit heavier and a bit dirtier and grungier than what came before. And it feels like we’re kind of back on track. It’s a lot closer to our first EP in tone and style. It feels like ‘Pebble Brain’ was perhaps a bit of an experiment into a more summery, playful sound, whereas this is a lot more, not serious, but cooler. We’re cool now!
You mentioned new influences – who did you have in mind?
Ash: I’d say we’ve always been inspired by the likes of Arctic Monkeys, but I feel like we’re really wearing that inspiration on our sleeve for at least a few of these new songs. And also bands like The Strokes. Especially with Joe’s guitar riffs, we’re very heavily inspired by those bands.
If you think back to when you guys first formed this band, is this what you imagined it was going to be like? Ash: I had no expectation at all! It’s far beyond anything that I thought would be possible.
Will: Exactly the same, we’ve been blown away by all the support. It feels humbling and it feels like we can’t owe it back to them enough for the support they’ve given us. At the same time, it’s validating for how much work we’ve put into our previous two records, to have this kind of support for the next one and to have all these people showing up. It’s really touching, all of our hard work is coming to fruition.
“The [Spotify Our Generation] gig opened our eyes a little bit to hopefully doing some more intimate shows in the future.”
— Ash Kabosu
One of the things that is particularly distinctive about Lovejoy is that you do have this huge and dedicated fanbase for the stage of career that you’re at. I guess that must also come with a certain level of pressure?
Ash: I guess that’s one of the reasons that it’s taken so long to get this next record out, we want it to be the best thing we can do.
Joe Goldsmith: We thrive on that kind of pressure. The desire to want to write songs for people that are fun and exciting is something that we like and enjoy. It pushes us, and hopefully we can make better songs as a result of that.
You’ve just released the Spotify Singles recently, and played a very intimate show for the Spotify Our Generation pop-up event. That’s a very artist-focused project, was that an enjoyable experience?
Ash: It was really cool to be given that opportunity. That gig was really nice. It opened our eyes a little bit to hopefully doing some more intimate shows in the future, maybe with acoustic setups. We’re obviously on this trajectory now of live shows where we’re slowly ramping up the size of the venues, but to play for maybe 70 or 100 people, it was really cool. We really, really enjoyed it. There will be more of those in the future.
What do you get from a crowd that size that you don’t get from a bigger one?
Ash: I think there’s a connection there. When you’re playing to a thousand people, there’s a certain level of detachment, it’s too many people for stupid monkey brain to process, and so it can be a bit overwhelming at times. But when there are fewer people in the room, you can actually make eye contact with them and engage with them on a much more personal level. You’re all singing the songs together and it’s just a lot tighter knit.
Are you constantly surprising yourselves? You’ve spoken about the shifts in sound over time and the growing live shows, do you feel like you’re still developing quite rapidly?
Will: I think art without experimentation is just formula. You’ve got to constantly experimenting and trying new things, or you start going a bit mad, or bland. We always like to be constantly pushing ourselves. Coming into the space with the audience almost already established – we dropped our first single and a lot of my previous audience moved across, and it was lovely of them to do so – I feel like we’ve almost done it backwards. Most bands have to write the good songs first, and then get the audience. We started with the audience first, and now we have to write good songs to prove ourselves.
Ash: It definitely is strange to be doing festival headline sets and playing on main stages when we’ve got twelve songs! We play our entire discography at every show.

Getting to know you tag game
Kiitos and tack to @sflow-er for tagging me! This was fun. Going to answer all my questions below. Maybe people will learn something new about me.
Do you make your bed?
No. It’s a loft bed so it’s sort of difficult to make, and no one sees it so there’s minimal incentive to do much with it. I mostly prefer to sleep in a nest of blankets.
What's your favourite number?
Nine. Odd numbers are fun and it’s three threes.
What is your job?
I don’t like to talk about it on tumblr, but it’s something in the education sector.
If you could go back to school, would you?
I am technically back at school at present, since I’m in a graduate program in writing part time. Honestly, I could just study forever and get paid to do so, without much extra strings attached, I would just go to university forever and major in a thousand different things while studying a thousand more.
Can you parallel park?
I cannot even drive, as it happens.
A job you had that would surprise people?
I used to work catering at my college, where I learned a lot about how to chop and prepare different vegetables and similar. The best thing about working catering was getting to take home leftovers. Also, chopping vegetables is a generally soothing thing for me to do when my anxiety is getting the better of me.
Do you think aliens are real?
Sure! Visiting earth seems unlikely (I mean why would you) but scientifically they have to be out there. I used to tell my mother I was an alien when I was a teenager.
Can you drive a manual car?
See above re: parallel parking. I think I’d be a lot more successful with a question about navigating city bus routes.
What's your guilty pleasure?
Hmm as I get older I am increasingly of the opinion that describing pleasures as “guilty” is something I’m too old and tired to do. Like, it would truly be not good for me to put food in this category. There’s also definitely favorite movies and books I have that I view with a cautious, critical eye (Lawrence of Arabia and Jane Eyre, for instance) but I don’t know if “critical consumption” and “indulging in guilty pleasures” are the same things. And I refuse to feel guilty for being an August and sargust enjoyer.
Like… I don’t know. Doll collecting? Is that a guilty pleasure? I currently wish my doll collection was making less a mess in my apartment.
Tattoos?
Not for me, but I’m glad for the people who like theirs.
Favourite colour?
Green, generally. For wearing, green again, as well as yellow and blue. (Or as I like to call them together, deconstructed green.)
Favourite type of music?
Gosh, hmm. I was going to say folk and progressive bluegrass, because a lot of stuff I like fits into that category already. (Nickel Creek, Punch Brothers, Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donavan, I’m With Her, Rhiannon Giddens, Jake Blount, etc.) If the songs are murder ballads or songs about shipwrecks or whatever (shout out to “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” on the Punch Brothers album Hell on Church Street) all the better. I also realize I like a lot of music with classical/orchestral influences, but not necessarily like… traditionally classical. Today I’ve been listening to Kishi Bashi’s Omoiyari album on repeat and thinking about how Marigolds would make a great song for an ensemble YR fanvid.
I think my favorites will always be the artists who are absolute nerds for music and who will play with genre about it.
Do you like puzzles?
I don’t think I like puzzles, like they’re not always something I seek out, but I promise you that if you put a jigsaw puzzle or a logic puzzle in front of me I will hyperfixate until I figure it out. So I guess I like them.
Any phobias?
Mice. They like to come into my apartment when it’s cold. I would prefer they don’t.
Favourite childhood sport?
Gym class was the bane of my existence, but I also come from a sporty family, so I could kind of tolerate basketball for my athletic mother’s sake.
Do you talk to yourself?
Absolutely. When I was getting my neuropsych evaluation, the evaluator noticed that I was always talking myself through tasks in order to get them done. This is apparently what you need to do when you score 99th percentile on verbal intelligence but 2nd percentile on things like task initiation and executive function.
What movies do you adore?
I tend to be more of a TV and documentaries person than a movies person right now. That said, Greta Gerwig’s Little Women and the 2005 Pride and Prejudice are good comfort watches, as is Pixar’s Luca. I really like the Georgian movie And Then We Danced.
Coffee or tea?
Tea. Specifically, green tea. Coffee is yummy (I like bitter things sometimes) but doesn’t play well with my health.
What was the first thing you wanted to be growing up?
I wanted to be a writer pretty early. That said, the earliest written record I have of “what do you want to be when you grow up” was a first grade assignment where we had to answer that question. The two jobs I named were teacher and artist, specifically an artist who paints murals. (I misspelled the word “mural” because in the Baltimore accent I grew up with, mural is essentially one slurred syllable. Make me say Aaron earned an iron urn, I dare you.)
No pressure tags to: whoever wants them! I have not been on tumblr much lately so I don’t know who’s done this already.

Love Walks In [E.M.]
Pairing: Eddie Munson x fem!reader Word Count: 1.3k Summary: You run into Eddie Munson at a music store one night and an unexpected flame is ignited. Warning: SFW. This is very fluffy. Includes 2 f-bombs courtesy of our boy and dissing of The Smiths/Morrissey. A/N: There are no mentions of the reader's physical features other than Eddie acknowledging that reader is a woman. Reader is the same age as Eddie. This is set during the summer of '86. Loosely titled after Love Walks In by Van Halen. Masterlist.
Tumblr media
One of the best things about summer in Hawkins was that most stores on Main Street stayed open later, meaning you could hang out wherever you wanted after getting off work. Tonight it was the music store. What better time to stock up on some tapes to play in your car than in the summer when you could go on late night drives without a care in the world.
The music store was the sort that played an entire album before switching to another, usually an upbeat rock album or Wham! to up the energy in the store. But, tonight, someone was clearly in a mood. You had already heard three songs by The Smiths since the moment you stepped inside. The melancholy atmosphere was not exactly the best for shopping, and apparently you weren’t the only customer who felt that way.
“Yes, there is a murderous desire for making me listen to his whining!” Someone exclaimed, their voice easily heard over the music.
The volume of the outburst caused you to jerk in surprise before curiosity set in and you glanced around to see who had been brave enough to yell out the insult. Someone could get kicked out of the store for that, you were sure.
You hadn’t seen Eddie Munson since you graduated high school two years before, but he hadn’t changed much. His hair was a little longer, maybe he was taller, but it was no surprise that he was the one causing a scene. He always knew how to draw a crowd.
Well, no one else was in the store.
It was just you, Eddie Munson, and one bored looking employee who undoubtedly was the culprit of the music choice. So not a scene so much as a small incident that passed as quickly as it occurred.
You laughed anyway, meeting the man’s eyes when he lifted his head from the records he was already back to flipping through. He smiled crookedly at your reaction and took in your appearance. The recognition on his face was almost immediate.
“Hey!” He called out as he rounded the table and came to stand in front of you, one hand grabbing onto the bottom of his leather jacket and the other going up to his hair. “I know you.”
Then he pointed at you and tilted his head in thought.
“Class of 1984.”
You nodded and smiled politely, planning to go back to your search, but you found yourself speaking up.
“I know you, too.”
“You remember me?” His voice was surprisingly bashful.
“It’s hard to forget someone who walked around school like they were the most popular guy but it was kind of the opposite.”
“Ouch. Do you bite too?” He gasped playfully and placed a hand on his heart. “Do I need to run away?”
“Everyone knows who you are,” you replied with a shrug. Honestly, you weren’t trying to be mean. That was exactly how you remembered the man in front of you. He was infamous within the halls of Hawkins High. “I never thought you were weird.”
“Well, thank you. You’d be one of the few.”
“At least high school is over.”
Eddie titled his head back and looked to the ceiling, hands clapping together to form a praying motion. “Finally,” he whispered to himself.
That was right - last you heard, Eddie ended up failing his first and second senior year before graduating in the spring of ‘86. It was a surprise Hawkins High didn’t throw a parade around the entire town to celebrate.
When he looked down, he assessed the cover of the cassette tape in your hand and hummed in thought.
“Van Halen? Not bad. I took you for more of a Cyndi Lauper fan,” he said, an amused smirk on his lips.
“You mean you don’t just want to have fun?”
“Different definitions of fun, I’m afraid.”
It was difficult to not smile back at him. There was something extremely contagious about Eddie’s laugh and smile. Always had been.
“She’s pretty cool, but I think we all heard “Time After Time” enough at school dances to want to listen to it on our own.”
The final chords of “Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others” faded out as the record ended and you glanced at Eddie to gauge his reaction.
“Thank fuck.” Eddie breathed out the words, shoulders slumping in exaggerated relief and forcing another soft laugh out of you.
It was quiet for a moment as the store employee changed out the records before the next song began, “How Soon is Now?” playing over the speakers. The volume was cranked up far too loud, but it definitely sent a message for the music critic next to you.
“I believe this is dedicated to you,” you said around a smug laugh. The hope on his face was quickly replaced by a look of pure disbelief.
“Oh, fuck off.” He huffed, but there was a pretty quirk to his lips. Playful.
“It’s not that bad!”
“Not that bad?” He sputtered dramatically, head shaking like he was possessed by a demon before he sobered and fixed you with a serious look. “You, my friend, need a lesson in real music and I have just the teacher for you.”
Eddie produced a piece of paper from the back pocket of his jeans. He unfolded it - you noted that it was folded in perfect fourths as if he’d taken his time to fold it just so - and held it out to you face up.
“Corroded Coffin, Tuesdays at The Hideout,” you read off the page. There was a drawn image of a guitar shaped coffin with flames and bats around it, the coffin itself the center of the picture. The lettering was bold and jagged like Eddie himself. “Is this a band? Your band, I’m guessing.”
“Bingo. We play every Tuesday, I play guitar. The crowd isn’t great; we get some newbies sometime. They usually don’t come back, but there’s a first time for everything, right?”
His expression was expectant, brown eyes impossibly wide and too puppy-ish for someone with his reputation. Childish. Harmless. Cute.
And you were kind of a sucker for puppies.
“How can I say no to such a glowing review?”
The positivity of your response acted as a shot of energy to the man who nodded happily before folding the paper back up and placing it in your free hand.
“So you don’t forget,” he said quietly, cordially. “You’ll be the first woman at our gig, to be honest with you, if you don’t count the bartender who says we’re too loud. Um, you might want to bring some friends. That’d be cool.”
“Yeah, sure. I can definitely bring someone.”
“A boyfriend?” The words came out of his mouth in slow motion, the crease between his eyebrows making you wonder if he meant to let them out.
“No. No boyfriend, but I do have a friend who’s wild for guys in bands.”
He let that sink in as he jingled the chain attached to his belt loops. The metal links clinked together, jangle jangle jangle, as silence passed between you again.
“What about you; are you wild for guys in bands?”
Tilting your head in faux thought, you joked, “I guess Morrissey’s not so bad.”
“Oh, come on.”
“I’m kidding.” You laughed, continuing without looking at him. You busied yourself by putting the flyer in your bag. Then you met his gaze. “I’m no groupie, but I get the appeal.”
“Well, who knows. Maybe you’ll come to our show and find the rock god of your dreams.”
He was teasing, the grin on his face frustratingly boyish and charming, and there was no way you could deny that he definitely fit the type of rock guys your friend was constantly fawning over. That fact was at the forefront of your mind as you parted ways after a few more minutes of talking.
You never would have expected to meet up with Eddie Munson after high school, let alone agree to go see his band play at a rundown bar, but as you left the music store with a few new tapes and a flyer for Corroded Coffin, you made a mental note to tell your friend you had your eye on the lead guitarist of the band.

50 Things for My 50th Birthday - Now With 10 Bonus Things!
50 Things for My 50th Birthday
A continuation of my 40 Things for 40 List, with 10 additional entries for 50. Plus 10 Bonus Things!
Originally written December 2013 on my 40th birthday. It's a list of bits of wisdom I wish I had known when I was younger. Every item has a story behind it. I don't know if this is original, intelligent, humorous, creative, interesting, or valuable to anyone other than myself. But it means something to me.
Maybe someday I'll write an annotated version of the list with the stories for each one. Then that would turn into a book. Maybe it's better to give short snippets and remain mysterious than to overshare everything. December 2023.

40 Things for my 40th Birthday: 12/2013
1. The Universe has a sense of humor which manifests itself as irony. Take time to stop and notice the big glowing neon signs that point to irony.
2. Karma, like gravity, is a force of nature. It does not discriminate. It balances your actions and consequences like balancing an equation.
3. It’s better to be single and alone than be in a bad relationship for the sake of being in a relationship.
4. See the patterns and interconnections - streams, veins in leaves, flowers, moss, agates, geodes, galaxies, calendars, time – it is beautiful and awesome.
5. Every day is different. If today is shitty, tomorrow will be shitty in a different way.
6. Look for the positive. Thousands of things go right every day.
7. Have a good work ethic. Do your best, but don’t let perfectionism interfere.
8. Know your history. Remember your ancestors and family. You could not be who and where you are without all of their hard work.
9. Don’t bite the hook.
10. Don’t feed the troll.
11. Remember Professor Remus Lupin’s Defense Against the Dark Arts lessons – Ridiculous, Expecto Patronum, and Chocolate.
12. Learn crafts – sewing, knitting, beading, etc. – it enriches life. It’s fun to give surprise presents to people.
13. Dream out loud at high volume. Turn it up to 11.
14. No good deed goes unpunished.
15. The Platinum Rule: Treat people how they want to be treated.
16. Always have 2 weeks’ supply of socks and underwear.
17. Invest in good bras. Your back and boobs will thank you later in life.
18. Always wear comfortable shoes. Your feet will thank you later in life.
19. Don’t waste time in front of the mirror. Save money. Cosmetics are optional.
20. Do not fester. To fester is bad. Don’t bottle things up for years. When you eventually explode, it only frightens, confuses, and pisses off the target of your nuclear blast, and innocent bystanders may be injured.
21. Don’t confuse lust for love. Lust and love are not the same thing. Don’t allow physical attraction to obscure reality. Ask questions. You might not like the answers but ask anyway.
22. Beware of charming men. They use sexual energy to get attention and evoke a reaction, like using glamour magic. The feeling is fleeting. It’s nothing special.
23. Don’t wait by the phone or the computer. When a man says, “I’ll call you tomorrow,” he probably won’t. He might intend to call, but he doesn’t know which tomorrow he means – 24 hours, 6 months, 8 years later. Don’t take it personally.
24. Diamonds are not a girl’s best friend. You don’t need a ring. A loving relationship is the real treasure.
25. U2 is the greatest rock ‘n roll band and “Achtung Baby” is the greatest rock ‘n roll album in the entire Universe.
26. You are your own worst enemy. You are the only enemy you will ever have. Stop listening to the Itty Bitty Shitty Committee.
27. You are your own best ally. You are the only ally you will ever have. Never betray yourself to others or to yourself.
28. It is what it is.
29. Chill the fuck out.
30. On the subject of Big Girl Panties: Pull them up. Deal with it, whatever it is. They can be She-Ra Princess of Power, Wonder Woman, or Tinkerbell Underoos. In times when you can’t pull up your Big Girl Panties, get some Coping Skills so you can deal with it. Use Coping Skills until the problem is solved or the situation subsides. Repeat as necessary. Coping skills will eventually become the New Normal way of dealing with it.
31. Learn as many life skills as you are capable of doing - housekeeping, home repairs, yard maintenance, gardening, cooking, car maintenance, etc. Be as self-sufficient as possible.
32. Know when to ask for help. Offer to help others too. Know when to hire professionals to do the job.
33. Felines are the best animals ever in the history of all species on Earth. Being a Crazy Cat Lady is wonderful. It’s the cats who are crazy.
34. Read everything. Read constantly. Develop highly effective writing and verbal skills. Clear communication is essential.
35. Book smarts, diplomas, and degrees are not an accurate measure of intelligence. Common sense, ability, skill, and experience are most important.
36. No one likes an insufferable know-it-all. Don’t correct others even if you are right – unless it is a life-or-death situation.
37. Practice mindfulness. Orient your perception to the meta level.
38. Be grateful and express gratitude.
39. Be compassionate, sympathetic, and empathetic – even to people you dislike or who dislike you. Everybody hurts. Everybody has bad days. Understand that.
40. Remember the reason why you had your ears pierced on your 30th birthday. Enjoy the small pleasures of life: favorite foods, scents, sights, sounds, clothes, jewelry, and all the pretty things. These are what the dead remember and desire the most.
50 Things for My 50th Birthday: 12/2023
41. Toxic Situations: Know when to get out on your terms while you still have options. Leave before they force you out. Otherwise, you could be left scrambling and everything is worse.
42. The Ultimate Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything is 42, obviously. (Thanks to Douglas Adams.) 42 is the atomic number of molybdenum. 42 divine beings, with Osiris, Ma’at, and Thoth in the Hall of Truth, judge souls before they enter the afterlife in Egyptian mythology.
43. Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, motherfucker, do you use them? You spent 2 years in Fight Club. Strive to be skillful every day. The core skill sets are mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Remember your values. Remember Wise Mind. Remember Radical Acceptance.
44. Gaslighting: Discussing problems is complaining. Telling the truth is causing trouble. Explaining yourself is making excuses. Asking questions is undermining others, making others look bad, or challenging authority. Challenging hurtful comments is not knowing how to take a joke. Expressing emotional needs is neediness. Expressing emotions is seeking attention. Showing confidence and intelligence and using an above-average vocabulary is being a bitch, being a know-it-all, or flexing your education and experience.
45. You need people whether or not you like it. Remember the pandemic lockdown. Remember working from home for a year and a half. You thought you trained your whole life as an introvert for that historic moment and would be excellent at it. No. It was objectively bad. It was a disaster. You need people. Be a better daughter, sister, and friend to the people in your life.
46. People change for better or worse. People will drift in and out of your life. People grow apart. This is a natural part of life. Accept it.
47. Magical Thinking: It’s one thing to know better. It’s an entirely different thing to do better. This is stupid behavior. It doesn’t matter how smart you are, how hard you work, or how good your intentions are. It’s never going to work out how you want it to. It’s never going to get better. And no one cares. Accept responsibility for your part in it. Don’t make excuses. Do something different. Do better. Change.
48. “Do or do not, there is no try” is fundamentally bad advice. Yoda’s lesson led Luke to black-or-white thinking. What would Spock or Picard teach Luke about learning a new skill? Get up and do it again until you can do it or find another way to do it.
49. Everybody is sick of your shit. Everybody, including you, is sick of your shit.
50. On the subject of Giving a Fuck: You either give too many fucks or you never have enough fucks to give. You need to practice, as the internet meme says, “moderate fuck distribution.” Ask yourself when you truly feel like you have zero fucks to give, are you completely out of fucks? Can you have a fuck debt, have a negative number of fucks? Or does something magical happen? Like a mint in the bottom of your purse, like loose change between seat cushions, like a potato chip under the fridge, there is always one more fuck to give. Like a free play token or an extra life in video game, one more fuck will magically appear. That one magical fuck will be dirty, hard, bitter, and broken, but it will be there when you need it. That one magical fuck can be saved or given as needed until you can replenish your regular supply of fucks.
BONUS CONTENT: I have more than 10 things to add to the list of 50 things.
Life is unpredictable. I don’t know if I’ll live another 10 years to continue the list, so I’m writing 10 Bonus Things. Everyone loves free bonus things!
51. “If I don’t do what my parents want, they will be mad at me.” WHAT? Did you just say the quiet part out loud? Every decision in your life is based on it! How can you be in the fifth decade of your life on this planet? Are you even an adult?
52. You can’t be needy if you don’t have needs. Meet your needs for yourself. No one else will. If there’s the slightest stink of neediness on you, people will abuse and reject you.
53. Don’t have expectations of others. Don’t engage in wishful thinking. Stop wanting people to demonstrate their feelings or care for you in the way you want. They won’t. It’s never going to happen. If you ask for what you want, then you are needy or attention-seeking. Accept what they offer as they give it, even if doesn’t meet your expectations, even if it’s nothing. That may be the only thing they can offer or the only way they know how to express it.
54. Most of being an adult is lying to everyone that everything is okay and that you are fine, when in reality your life is an unbearable mess, and you are not anywhere close to being okay.
55. Nothing you do is ever good enough for others. You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t. It never changes.
56. “Use it or lose it.” You refused to believe it until you quit using it and you lost it. You don’t need to look in the mirror to see it. How does your body feel? Get up, girl, and use it.
57. No one gets out of here alive. Prepare for your death. Don’t leave the burden of your funeral plans, estate, and debts to your family, friends, or strangers. If you worked on projects or created things with other people, include it in your will. Your legacy, and that of others, literally could be thrown away. If you don’t tell people what you want, they will get it wrong. Then you’ll have to come back and haunt the fuck out of those people.
58. There’s no escaping your past, especially with family. They remember everything. Every obnoxious thing you did as a teenager. Every time you freaked out. Every time you had a bad day. Every mistake you made. Every mental health breakdown. It doesn’t matter how hard you work to change and overcome your problems. You’ll always be that past worst version in their minds, and they’ll hold it against you forever.
59. Your family is never going to forgive you for getting a degree in English. It’s always going to come down to their misperception that you are nitpicking and correcting them when you’re not. They’re going to throw it in your face like a glass of ice water.
60. Remember the “Litany Against Fear” from Dune. You memorized it when you were 15 years old. It still works.

Yard Act (+ Murkage Dave) @ Cabaret Sauvage, Paris, Dream Job Tour, 05.04.24
Tumblr media
I made 4th-5th rows! Which isn't bad at all considering how tiny the Cabaret Sauvage is (there's no barrier, the front row's at the foot of the stage. From the 4th row, I wasn't further away from the stage than I was back when I was front row at Ally Pally for Jamie T).
I was once again rewarded for my decision to NOT listen to Murkage Dave before going. Hearing new stuff for the first time live slaps, that's why I love festivals and support acts. Successfully set myself up for a nice surprise ✨
I took a shit ton of videos, kept the parts that were decent enough, and compiled them in a montage like it's 2013. Here's the link:
[YouTube description:
[CW eyestrain: flashing lights @ ppl prone to seizures, proceed with caution]
Disclaimer! I can't afford a fancier phone and I'm no pro. Not to mention the fact that I will NEVER sacrifice my live experiences over footage. So yeah, it's shaky, but again, if I feel like dancing, I'll do just that; and if I'd rather keep my eyes on the band than make sure they're in the frame, that takes priority too. I guess what I'm trying to say is that those are primarily there for me to relive the memories, they weren't meant for aesthetics. Buuut, that doesn't mean I can't share them with you, does it?
Dropping this collection of excerpts from the gig like barging in your living room with a stack of pics from my latest trip. Look, I'm no film editor either, and evidently my brain was stuck in 2013, so that cringeworthy montage will have to do.
I know it's a shame I didn't record Payday & Dark Days (among others), but what can I say? I was too busy moshpitting.]
youtube
The atmosphere was incredible. There was a respectful vibe in the audience that made me feel safe. I actually partook in a moshpit wilfully and without fear for the first time in my life and that is a HUGE deal to me bc I'm usually too big of a wuss to try and on the rare occurrences I got caught up in one, people pushed too hard and some wound up hurt. Not this time. No one pushed too hard, no one tripped over, it was all friendly, benevolent horseplay and I HAD fun!!
A few complementary anecdotes:
When they played Land of the Blind, someone from the front row handed James a coin for the 'magic trick' part of the song. Who was this anonymous hero? Was it a spur of the moment decision? Did they just happen to have a coin in their pocket? Did they plan this??? So many questions. Defo in my top 3 most wholesome moments I've witnessed at a gig.
Most of my fellow croissants didn't know the words (I mean apart from The Overload and 100% Endurance bc they're from the 1st album; or they knew the words but couldn't pronounce them? Idk, point is, they didn't sing much), which was to be expected, but there were a few expats & brit tourists here and there, and throughout the concert, after a coupla moshpits & crowd movements, nearly all of us english speakers ended up gathered in a single group and we all sang along together: that was mint.
James pointed at everyone he could see wearing a trench coat and I was among them 🥰
Once again, not so many ppl knew the words, especially the newest songs. And there was me, who's obsessed with song lyrics, singing along nearly the entire time. The look on James' face when he made eye contact with me during When the Laughter Stops, Fizzy Fish and A Vineyard for the North, and realised I was singing too was priceless. He had the same reaction all 3 times lmao. The man was a mix of surprise, confusion, pride and amusement, he's such a sweetheart 🥲 I'm always a tad apprehensive when I get caught singing by the artist bc I don't know how'll they react, they all tend to feel differently about audience participation (e.g. Jamie T loves it so much when we sing along, I suspect it's one of his favourite things about going on stage and Brian Molko didn't pay it much mind, like it made not much of a difference to him lol) but James didn't seem to dislike it (I've heard there are artists who hate it but no one I've seen so far). I posted the bit from the video with the caption "backing vocals from the pit" to my Instagram story mentioning them and they shared it to theirs, so I take it they're okay with pit choirs.
James asked us to make some noise and when he saw how responsive we were, he had us do it 5 more times like he couldn't help himself and his giddy giggling made it impossible to be annoyed with him tbh
I love them. I love them so much.

What Kind Of Person Is JiHo (By NCT)
Fan Video By “GeeGeeGeeGeo” On Youtube
Tumblr media
(indented text = comments added by the maker of the video) Hi everyone, my name is GeeGeeGeeGeo, and if you follow my on Twitter you might now me and my friends/followers have been working on a fan project for JiHo. During fansigns we tried to ask each member “What kind of person is JiHo (to you)” and we got almost all members’ answers.
I hope you enjoy this video and we hope that maybe JiHo gets to stumble upon this video and see how much her members care for her.
Tumblr media
[Taeyong, ‘Favorite’ era fansign]
“JiHo?” he giggles and seems a bit surprised by the mention of JiHo’s name. “She’s a very hardworking and strong person. I think she can be a great role model to people as well. She’s very caring.”
[Taeil, ‘Favorite’ era fansign]
“JiHo?”
“Yes, what kind of person is she to you?”
Taeil thinks about it for a second while he signs the album on the table in front of him. “She’s a scary young sister.” Both him and the fan laugh. “But a sister I want to have around for forever.”
Taeil and JiHo moments are rare which is why I treasure moments like these a lot TT
[Johnny, ‘NCT 2021-Universe’ era fansign]
“She’s a pain in the a— butt,” he laughs loudly. “No, but really she’s a very kind person. I’m glad I’ve met her and that she’s in NCT. Sharing a stage with her is always a lot of fun.”
[Yuta, ‘Favorite’ era fansign]
“I think she’s actually mad at me currently?”
“Why?” the fan asks.
“I think she’s jealous I love Mark so much. You didn’t know that right?”
“What?”
“That JiHo can get really jealous about trivial things? I honestly don’t think it bothers her, but she likes to make me feel bad and uses a lot of aegyo towards the hyungs/oppas. She’s really cute, but only with the people she’s comfortable showing that side to. I’m grateful I’m one of those people.”
[Doyoung, ‘NCT 2021-Universe’ era fansign]
“She’s like my real sister. Really annoying sometimes, but I care for her a lot. JiHo is someone who gives a lot, even if it’s in very subtle ways. She gives you time and comfort. She gives you exactly what you need to feel better. But JiHo is hard at taking, she won’t let you help her fully. So I think she isn’t 100% [happy] at any given time. She’s a kind person... A one of a kind person.”
YES DOYOUNG MAKE ME UGLY CRY
[Jaehyun, (no idea when this fansign was...)]
“To me? She appreciates my humor. I think that says enough.“
idk what we expected from Jaehyun, but this seems about right TT
[Jungwoo, ‘Favorite’ era fansign]
“She’s a fun person. I don’t know how Czennies see JiHo, but she’s really fun to be around. Sometimes she’s really scary though...”
[Mark, ‘Glitch Mode’ era fansign]
“That’s interesting that you would ask about her during my fansign.” He smirks and quickly starts laughing. “I’m just messing with you. JiHo is... JiHo is JiHo, I don’t know what to tell you.” He laughs again. “I think JiHo is an unique person you only get to understand if you know her. Even then! I don’t think I fully understand her, but I guess that’s her charm.”
ever the poetic Mark
[Haechan, ‘Favorite’ era fansign]
“JiHo is the type of person I want to tease, but I’m scared she’d get mad at me,” he chuckles sheepishly. “JiHo cares a lot for the younger members, but I see she cares about the older members a lot too.”
“Who does she care the most for?”
With a smirk her answers, “me.”
Dream on Haechannie, we all know the actual answer is Jisung, Chenle and Sungchan
Tumblr media
[Renjun, ‘Glitch Mode’ era fansign]
“JiHo?, shouldn’t you be asking about me?”
“I’m sorry—”
“No don’t worry!” he laughs. “JiHo is someone who listens really well. Even if it looks like she didn’t listen or doesn’t care, she always does. Sometimes she surprises me or the other members with random things that we even forgot we said out loud. She’s someone I would feel comfortable confiding in.”
“Have you ever confided in her?”
Renjun nods and smiles, “I talked about my therapy before, right? Well I didn’t know JiHo that well back then, but now sometimes she’ll ask me to do art together and we’ll just talk to each other for hours. Sometimes she’ll just listen to me the whole time.”
crying rn
[Jeno, ‘Hot Sauce’ era fansign]
He immediately smiles brightly at the question. “She’s someone who despite having a hard time will make sure you are doing well. I think she’s a bit careless with herself at times. After you get to know her, she’s the kind of person you just want to be okay, because worrying about her or having a reason to worry about her is the hardest thing to go through.”
[Jaemin, ‘NCT 2021-Universe’ era fansign]
“She’s cute. She’s sweet. She’s nice to everyone. She’s a good person.’
[Chenle, ‘Beatbox’ era fansign]
“The kind of person that you don’t want to get on her bad side.”
“Are you speaking out of experience?” the fan asks and both of them laugh.
“Not really, but I’ve seen her get annoyed a handful of times and it’s really scary. She’s such a nice person in general, so when she gets angry it’s really something you don’t want.”
[Jisung, ‘Glitch Mode’ era fansign]
“Noona is so small, but very strong. She’s like those small dogs that big dogs are scared of, you know?”
“Are you and the boys those big dogs?”
Jisung chuckles awkwardly, “sometimes?” The fan laughs loudly at his answer. “But I’d love noona to be my real big sister.”
Tumblr media
[Kun, ‘NCT 2021-Universe’ era fansign]
“JiHo is an amazingly talented person. I’m always amazed when I see her working, but she’s also very down to earth. I think out of all the NCT members that come over to our [Wayv’s] dorm, I like JiHo the best. She’s very respectful with other people’s spaces and life’s and never pries too much.”
“Are the other members not respectful?”
“Oh, they are, but sometimes they get a bit too comfortable... Actually JiHo might get too comfortable as well sometimes... Maybe I’m biased?”
Yes, Kun. Yes you are biased.
[Xiaojun, ‘NCT 2021-Universe’ era fansign]
“Huh?”
“What kind of person is JiHo?”
“You’re asking me so suddenly?” Confused, Xiaojun still answers, “JiHo’s a great person. She’s really talented and very nice to everyone. She talks a lot with WayV and tries to make everyone feel heard and involved. She’d be a great leader.”
[Hendery, ‘NCT 2021-Universe’ era fansign]
“She’s a fun person to be around,” he tells the fan as he signs his album.
“Are you still awkward with her?”
“No! Aaah... That was so long ago. JiHo and I are a lot closer now, we even play games together a lot.”
“Is she as good as everyone says?”
“She’s even better then Chenle.”
[Yangyang, ‘NCT 2021-Universe’ era fansign]
Yangyang fakes an expression of disgust before laughing. “I’m kidding. JiHo is a good person. She’s like a sister to me to be honest. Not that I want her to be my sister, but it just feels like we’ve grown up with each other. I don’t know how to explain it, I’m just comfortable around her.”
Tumblr media
[Shotaro, ‘NCT 2021-Universe’ era fansign]
“She’s like an older sister and a younger sister at the same time. She takes really good care of us, cooks for us, is really protective sometimes, but she is also really cute and small. I just want to take care of her. She’s really cool on stage, but outside of schedules and work she can be really energetic and weird and funny. I’m glad we work together.”
“Would you want to be in a unit with her?”
“That would be a dream. I think if she was in a unit with me I would always feel safe and comfortable.”
SM debut Sungtaro with JiHo, I’m literally begging you (┬┬﹏┬┬)
[Sungchan, this was during one of his modelling thingy fansigns]
“Noona is great. She helps a lot of people, but she should take care of herself as well. She’s someone I’d love to go on a trip with. I think that would be fun.”
“Where with you go to? And would it be only you two?”
“I’d love to go to France and other places in Europe with her. And I think going with Shotaro hyung would be nice, but even just the two of us would be a lot of fun.”
Tumblr media
I hope you guys enjoyed this video, this was a long time in the making and we still couldn’t get all the members in here, but this was a big majority and we wanted to get this out here. Thank you for watching <3

I've been listening to Rush! on repeat for the last two days (via youtube because Amazon chose this particular deliver to suck) and it all still feels new, so I may change my mind on a bunch of things. Anyway, so far, this is what I think.
This album actually better than what I thought, not because my expectations where low for some reason but simply because a) this is the first true test in front of an international audience for the band, and I bet they've been under a lot of pressure thanks to all those booooring "true rock fans" just waiting for them to make a mistake, plus all those booooring they've_gone_to_america_they've_lost_themselves_fans just waiting to be proven right (yeah, you wish). Not to mention all the professional music critics waiting to decide if they're trash or pass. Also, I don't think it's easy writing new music while travelling all around the world, but maybe it's just me having the ability to focus of a slug. The moment they have time to dedicate only to the creative process they'll do even better. This is to say their true masterpiece has yet to come. Good for us :)
About the new music now.
First of all I need to say I really appreciate the little Bowie, Beatles, Smith, Michael Jackson references scattered here and there, it was fun coming across them.
Also, they talk a lot about the downside of being famous. I noticed this came as a (possibly bad) surprise for some fans. Why? Måneskin write about their life and experiences since the beginning. In the last two years they literally had no other experience than becoming famous and learning to deal with it. So of course this is a huge part of what Damiano writes about right now, especially since he's been affected by fame not always in a good way.
With that said, it truly starts with a bang. Own My Mind looked like the kind of song I enjoy listening for three or four times and then become forgettable. I was so wrong! It's one of my favorite and I'm as far from being tired of it as I could be. Similar to Don't Wanna Sleep in this regard. Both of them are going to bring whole stadiums down during live gigs and I'm desperately looking forward to it.
Now beware, very unpopular opinion ahead. The song I like less so far is If Not For You. Don't beat me too hard ^^', please? It's just that I find it too sappy, a little boring and there's also that little backing vocals giving romantic Italian comedy of the 70's vibe which I find funny. Sort of anticlimatic, giving the purpose of the song.
Timezone, on the other hand, gives RHCP/Aerosmith vibes and I could listen to it endlessly and still wanting more.
The most surprising of surprises? Bla Bla Bla. I didn't like it at first but now... It's fun, it's silly and puts me in good mood. More importantly, it's punkish and I love it. Same goes for Kool Kids, but this one we knew already and I liked it since before.
Feel and Read your Diary bring the horny back (when did it even leave?) and I am not complaining. At all. Also, the bass?? The guitar?? They bring quality even in the songs meant to be undemanding.
On the italian trio now. I loved La Fine since it first came out and I still do but among those three is the one I like less. Mark Chapman and Il Dono della Vita are both candidate to become my favourite of the whole album. The first is dark, and I understand that for a short time Damiano had a stalker too, right? This makes it even more of a punch in the gut. Also, I don't want to start anything but to all the people who doubted it could be a song the glorifies a criminal... come. on. which band have you been a fan of for the last few years??
Il Dono della Vita has some awesome lyrics, I know I'll love it even more, the more I listen to it. It's a masterpiece and I also loved the little Icarus reference at the beginning. And if they play it live at Sanremo? With the orchestra?? Omg I may not survive. Yes, it's true, Damiano writes better in italian, he already explained why, and why he's writing more in english. It's his choice, he's a big boy, so I wont go there again.

Okay, now that I can collect my thoughts, I can now express how my experience of going to see Tears for Fears live was.
I saw them on Friday. It was my first concert that I actually wanted to go to and it was one hell of a show. I went with my dad whomstve got hooked on the new album because he played the CD in his car nonstop the week before. We were listening to it on the ride to the concert.
First, I should mention that I got the VIP pass where you can go see sound check before the actual concert. But it got delayed for some reason so the group we were with were baking in the hot sun until they called us into the amphitheater. In that time, I met some interesting people who followed the band around the country. There were two older women who were diehard fans. Another woman wore a vest that was comprised of little cards portraying the Songs From the Big chair album cover. She was very quirky but in a fun way. I was chatting with a couple of them and they all seemed impressed that I had so much knowledge of their discography, since I was one of the youngest fans there it seemed. From the Hurting, all the way up to The Tipping Point. The herd of people lost their way and ended up going into a small alleyway while the security was wondering what the hell they were doing. Very strange moment. So we go and find a seat and they were already playing. They advertised on the website that they'd play 2 songs but they really played 4. Long Long Long Time, Break the Man and Everybody Wants to Rule the World and to my extreme surprise and delight, Ladybird. A song they hadn't played live since 2004 when Everybody Loves a Happy Ending was a fresh album. Roland only played portions of it, with a different, more acoustic flare to it. It almost brought tears to my eyes. One guy shouted "Call me Mellow." Wrong song buddy. Fake fan alert!
So after that was done we pretty much waited around, bought some merch. I got a long sleeve golden sun shirt and an album cover shirt and a poster that I threw in my album cover tote bag. We ate overly expensive junk food until it was time to see the show where Garbage opened. From what I heard of their music, I wasn't really a fan of them. But after seeing them live and how they performed and how awesome Shirley Manson is, now I really like them. They went so heavy. She kicked ass that night! We also sang Happy Birthday to Curt!
After that about a 20 minutes before TFF came on, they played over the speakers the whole cover album of Songs from The Big chair by BrotherTiger, which if you haven't heard should totally check him out. That was cool until I looked down and realized that my feet and tote bag were soaked with beer from someone behind me. The true concert experience. Then some middle aged guy with long hair took his seat next time mine, complaining my hair was too long. I said right back at ya buddy. He kinda looked like me in 40 years. Hopefully not.
Finally Tears for Fears took to the stage and started playing their set. I sang every goddamn word throughout the entire concert, my throat was on the verge of dying by the end of it. During Everybody, I ended up dancing with that girl with the vest from earlier. Right after that, we'd sung Happy Birthday to "That guy from Tears for Fears." again, but with more feeling! During Break it Down Again, during the salute, Roland yelled to the people in front of me "Get off you're fucking phones!" Then returns hippie man and ends up knocking over my tote bag into the beer puddle, ruining the poster I just bought. Some of the other paper things survived but the smell of beer filled my car on the way home. Fun times overall.
The last thing to note that I'm both laughing at and pissed off about. When it came time for the last song, Shout. There was always a chance that Roland would pass the microphone to the audience to sing the chorus. I was in second row, but he passed the microphone to the people right in goddamn front of me! Like he was RIGHT THERE! I tried to reach over to at least try to get my voice to be heard, but I was just too far away. That would have absolutely made my night to be so perfect. Ughh!!!
So yeah, TLDR absolutely loved loved loved it. I would totally see them again.

Allow me to set the scene for you:
Edward and Bella are driving down the road in one of their stupidly expensive cars.
They’ve been alive for far too long, and are really starting to feel the grates of being married for all eternity, at the ages of 17 and 18 respectively, very acutely.
Because they’re vampires, and as such, have no capacity to change their brain chemistry anymore, they still engage in what would be considered immature or childish spats.
These could last anywhere from a few hours, to a few months, a couple of years if the severity of hurt feelings calls for it.
Bella, much to Edward’s chagrin, is driving, along a winding wooded backroad. The radio has been playing what are currently considered “classics” though by their standards had once been contemporary, and it had given Bella a lot of nostalgia for the early days of their relationship.
She’s been quietly reminiscing with him, occasionally even showing him things, memories associated with the songs. Singing to bubblegum pop in the car with Renee on one of their many road trips. Bopping along to the divorced dad rock that Charlie and Billy had always been so fond of. Soft, emotionally charged songs Jacob had showed her while they hunched together over a CD player in a dimly lit record shop in Seattle.
She suddenly gets very excited about the opening piano chord of a song, murmuring “I loved this one too,” before turning the volume to an ear-splitting decibel.
Edward is transfixed; the music is beautiful, and Bella is reaching down deep, tapping into her rawest emotions as she sings along. Her thumbs drum along to the beat, and she really starts to dig in and belt the words. The music warps from simplistic piano into something a little more produced and electronic but Bella seems no less invested, and the car rattles with the reverb. Bella seems to think it’s amusing, that he’s so enamored with her like this, that she splits into a wide grin and laughs at him.
he’s missing the joke, she thinks, turning down the fade out instrumentals. “Get it?”
“Get what?”
“The song. It’s funny.”
“I thought it was beautiful,” He admits, a little sheepish that he had been so captivated by her that he hadn’t stopped to consider what it was she had been singing. She laughs at him again, and promises to have their daughter play it for him some time. She says they had acquired a vinyl pressing of the album, when Nes had wanted to attend a festival the artist was a part of.
It was one Edward had insisted was too dangerous for them to go, seeing as it had been in broad daylight. Bella had argued that their supernatural skin condition wouldn’t be noticed among the human festival goers, as most of them were some level of intoxicated, and the rest would simply assume it was their attire, as it had been standard at the time to douse yourself in sparkling glitters to attend these things. Eventually Edward had relented, and they had gone into the city, and come back a few days later covered in dirt and traces of loose glitter with merchandise bags in tow. They had managed to find a little something for everyone on that trip, and they had even surprised Edward with a silly little t shirt, with the pegboard game he was so fond of on the front, that had said something on the back to the effect of “i got pegged at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store”
(He hadn’t gotten this joke, either. He was just happy they had thought of him in the midst of their fun.)
They continue on their trip, and Edward forgets about the song, but keeps the memory of watching his wife look so thrilled to be alive tucked safely to his chest.
Eventually, he does get around to asking Nes about the song, when he finds his coveted Cracker Barrel shirt packed away in a box when they return to an old home.
(He can’t deduce for the life of him why Emmett always asks about how his ass feels when he wears it. It’s a shirt, not pants, Emmett, his ass is fine.)
Nes plays the song for him. He listens intently to the lyrics this time, and comes away feeling scraped raw by the sheer emotion Bella had exhibited in the car that day. This song had clearly affected her in a deep way. He asks what it is, and Nes laughs at him.
Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo.
Edward locks himself in his study to cry and doesn’t talk to Bella for six months, during which she plays the song over the surround sound speakers, and reminds him vehemently that she wouldn’t have felt that way if he had simply stayed with her after the birthday party incident.
He extends his study-stay another six months until Bella agrees to stop poking fun at him.

I'm sooo excited, I can't even explain. I feel like enha comes back just when I start to really miss them. Although I was a bit anxious because I went on a mini vacation to another town just before they announced the comeback and I was fearing for my wallet around that time (I was hoping they'd announce it a bit later so I could scrounge up the money to preorder) but alas they announced it while I was broke so instead of feeling sorry for my pocket, I picked up a temporary job to do through my semester break - which I'm on rn - and preordered anyway. So far I don't have a preference for a concept, although I like the D version more than the J version but I'll take any concept at this point. I just want the photocard gods to give me ramyeonz again (but I would be happy with 1 jake pull also). I could trade my pulls to get what I want but tbh the fun of it for me is seeing what you get, so i usually just keep whatever I pull and hope for the best on the next album 😆
I've also seen the teasers but I've been avoiding hearing them in case they have spoilers. I like going into albums blind because I have so much suspense building up as we're leading up to the album release that when I finally watch that mv and hear that album, it blows me away even more. idk, it adds to the fun imo 😆😆😆
I hope it's not a permanent fatigue and that you heal quickly, or at least that ir gets easier to deal with 🧡🧡🧡
I'm okay!! Like I mentioned, I'm on semester break so I'm honestly just sleeping and doing as little as I can when my boss doesn't need me. I really want to go out this weekend tho.
I think for the first 2 weeks of my break I didn't even touch my computer, which is understandable because I study design so * most * of my time is spent in front of the computer with an adobe program open. today is really the only time I've had motivation and time to make gifs since my last sets (which was either enha performing polaroid love or jake's log, I can't remember lol, but it was a while ago.)
i must admit I did really develop jake brain rot today, I have even more gifs of him in my drafts that I'm probably going to post later hahaha but it's fun just making gifs of videos I want to make gifs of and not caring about notes or anything :')
also, I have to ask!! do you watch kdramas? if so, have you seen business proposal? I loved it sooo much and it's now my 2nd favourite kdrama - my first will always be crash landing on you - and it got me through a few of my projects towards the end of the semester. I was a bit late to it so all the hype was already over but I still think it was worth the watch 😆
and finally, I hope you don't mind the long ask 😶
— seungzie
@jseungz i don't mind the long ask at all, i love it in fact !! i'm so glad you were able to preorder and i am sending you luck for your pulls <3 and i totally get wanting to wait to see and hear everything without spoilers ! i personally am impatient so i tend to watch everything for my ult groups ajdgbjh but i respect y'all who are able to wait it out and get the full impact at release; it's true that spoilers can change the way you receive it at first, and in my case i usually like to listen to the full album in order before i even watch the mv with the title track but it doesn't always work out that way. i think even when i check out teasers or album previews i still find things that surprise me, but particularly for the enha comeback i prob won't actually check anything out until the actual drop either - we can be fully surprised together!
thank u, it should not be permanent but it may take quite a few months to get over - luckily, i'm on a semester break too, so i have plenty of time to rest! it makes sense that you'd want a bit of a break from screens, but whenever you feel inspired it's always nice to see your creations hehe. brain rot fuels some of our best work i think 😂
i don't watch any kdramas ! i tried to watch what was it ... 'let me be your knight' for my beloved donghyun but tbh i really don't watch a lot of tv in general like, barely any, and kdrama episodes tend to be quite long so i didn't end up sticking with it. i did watch the film 'love & leashes' with a friend though and thought it was really cute! i thought that was a drama when i was just seeing the previews around it, i didn't realize it was just a one-off. maybe i'll find one eventually that i can get into! i think i'm suited for shorter contents so web dramas are probably a better bet, i did watch 'to my star' as well and really enjoyed it but those episodes are super short haha

a/n: omg this was so fun bc i used to be so into kpop!! i still have so many photocards and albums displayed in my room <3 thanks anon for requesting, and the freedom in choice of characters xoxox
part 2 / part 3
Tumblr media
BAJI KEISUKE:
"you're.. an IDOL?! AND YOU'RE THE GROUP'S LEAD RAPPER??!!" - is the first thing he says (yells) when you tell him you're apart of a music group that specializes in a girlcrush concept
i hc baji doesn't really listen to music,,, he only knows some stuff through chifuyu (who i hc listens to kpop) so he doesn't really know about your group
so one day, you show him the most popular music videos and songs from you guy's
he's prancing and jumping around when he hears your verses come on
"oh shit.. oh SHIT.. OH SHIT !! YUH GET IT BABE!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!!!"
he's swinging his hair everywhere and you're dying at the sight of him- he's the cutest, and he is always hyping you up and promoting your group to his gang
he downloads your songs on his phone and listens to them on the way to and from school
one time he handed you and earbud to share and it was your guy's debut song
"baji, y'know im tired of hearing my own songs over and over."
"okay... and im not so either listen or give it back."
baji is so so fucking impressed how you can spit such verses at such fast paces, but also while dancing??? and you can sing too???honestly how... he can't comprehend it
which is why he's so proud about your career, he knows you've worked incredibly hard to get to where you are now
but he is also extremely cocky,, he doesn't shut up about you to chifuyu but chifuyu literally doesn't mind
he wishes he could rap but he won't try, nope, not with you in the room to make fun of him in front of everyone!
DRAKEN:
aw man this big bitch is so happy to see you living your dream on stage, being the bad bitch you are
his heart pounds at the sight of your bright smile
he is your number one supporter, and constantly streams your music in hopes of your group winning an award one day <3
and he streams it properly, like no loops, watches on regular speed, switches the video now and then- he knows what he's doing ;)
if he can attend your shows, he's really loud- yelling, cheering, whooping, all while waving your lightstick around LMAO
the girls at his brothel also know about you and your group! he sometimes shows them your music awww
when you first told him about your career, he immediately wanted to see some content
he was surprised that you were so.. famous- and that he was dating you.. a famous person
he knows how tiring it can be to be an idol, so he's always there to hand you a helping hand
he keeps a keen eye on your health, knowing the physical strain that constant training and practice does to someone
you need something? he's got it for you asap
water bottle empty? oh it's filled now. you hungry? boom he's got snacks in his bag. you want something more filling? he's already ordering takeout for you. whatever you need, draken's got your back
and he lets you know every single day, with a tender kiss on your forehead and a gentle smile <3
HANMA SHUJI:
shuji is so excited for you
when you show him your group's music, he is over the moon estatic that he's dating an idol omg
and he thinks you're so cool and just the energy you exude when you perform is so attractive to him
"you're fucking insane for that ♡"
asks you to rap one of your verses for him, and is awestruck- he just looks like :D HELPPP
he finds himself falling for you all over again!
you always catch him watching fancams of you, and there's this specific one he always goes back to because 'you look hot as fuck that's why'
you better believe that when you have a late night practice, he will be outside waiting to pick you up on his bike
on the drive home he'll ask you about your day, if you ate yet, if you wanna eat, etc etc.
some days he'll offer you massages, he knows you're tired and he wants to help as much as he can
and my god are his massages the absolute BEST- he can really work magic with those hands
oh, and he will undoubtedly fight (kill) any creep or stalker that you may have- he knows the world is a fucked place and people will go to extreme measures to please themselves
taglist: @dai-tsukki-desu @samu-sorbet (apologies! i forgot to do this initially hehe) <3
