The Ocean below waits.
It has more patience than anything you would know.
Below the waves, deep below them,
In a world where time doesn't matter as does cunning and skill,
An ability to See, and a knowledge of danger,
What use would it be to not be patient?
With patience comes food,
And with food comes new and returning life.
All life one day must return to the sea.
The sea knows this,
And so it waits, patiently.
It can afford to lose its Life
As Life in Time shall return.
Life always returns.
Sometimes in life, sometimes in death.
But Life shall return.

After a half-hearted attempt to watch the tennis tournament, you, Hugo, and Eddie retreated for afternoon tea.
"Me? The criminal organization in this country want me?" you asked incredulously.
Eddie nodded, casually adding sugar to his tea, with Hugo mimicking his actions. "They're still trying to figure out who you are. They won't ask Barnes since they despise him. They've made inquiries, but your identity remains a mystery to them, given your recent arrival."
"What about you, Eddie?" you inquired.
Eddie raised an eyebrow, a smile playing at the corners of his lips as he sipped his tea. "Hmm?"
"Why didn't you expose me to them?" you clarified.
Eddie set down his cup, meeting your gaze directly. "And let them exploit your expertise? You're too valuable for that, my dear."
The endearment caught you off guard, evoking memories of summers spent at Manor with Eddie's parents, particularly his mother, who often referred to you as "My Dear" during afternoon tea. But when Eddie used the term, it carried a different weight.
Eddie continued, "I faced a similar situation last year. This organization is far more dangerous than most people realize, even those at the UN dealing with cross-border issues."
"True," you agreed, contemplating the chaos of the criminal underworld. "The real zoo is here. But what about your organization?"
"My cannabis business remains neutral in conflicts," Eddie explained. "Even in our silence, there are those who seek to undermine us."
He paused, then offered, "If you want to join forces, you could. You could easily settle the debt."
The air hung heavy with the implications of his proposition, the tension palpable as you considered the possibilities.
"No," you interjected firmly.
Hugo finally joined the conversation, shooting Eddie a defiant glare. "My dad paid a high price to cut ties with cannabis."
You were surprised by Hugo's sudden assertiveness, especially considering his awareness of Rupert's dealings.
Eddie chuckled, unfazed by Hugo's challenge. "I could see you as a Duke in the future."
But before the tension could escalate further, another voice cut in, catching you off guard.
"Well, well, what do we have here? Are you cheating on me in broad daylight?"
You tensed at the sound of Bucky's voice, turning to find him standing beside your table, impeccably dressed in Ralph Lauren, his smirk as infuriating as ever.
"Can't I have a day without seeing your face?" you retorted, unable to hide your irritation.
Bucky feigned injury, clutching his chest dramatically. "Ouch."
Eddie intervened, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "What are you doing here, Barnes?"
"I wanted to try tea time. Felt like a royal for a change, but the cake tasted like shit," Bucky quipped, oblivious to the disapproving looks from nearby tables and the waitress.
"Well, I just wanted to say hello and meet the Duke of Horniman. Say hi from me to Bobby Glass, will you?" Bucky continued, his smirk never faltering.
Eddie's smile turned sour. "I won't."
"Great," Bucky replied casually, turning his attention to you. "Wait for my call, Your Grace."
You responded with a curt, "Fuck off."
Hugo nearly choked on his drink at your blunt retort, while Eddie struggled to contain his laughter.
Unfazed by your harsh words, Bucky simply bowed and took his leave.
Eddie glanced at you, his expression sympathetic. "I can see what you're dealing with."
Tumblr media
As you drove back to the manor with Hugo, his voice interrupted the tense atmosphere inside the car. "Can we switch our ride?"
You glanced at him, raising an eyebrow. "What's wrong with this one?"
Hugo's enthusiasm was palpable as he explained, "My buddies have got green cars, red cars, even yellow ones. And get this - their car doors pop up like wings when they open!"
You couldn't help but chuckle at his excitement. Seeing him like this, he seemed more like a kid dreaming of his favorite toy.
If Rupert weren't neck-deep in debt, you'd have no qualms about splurging on Hugo's dream car. But for now, you couldn't bear to crush his hopes. "Yeah, sure. Once we're done here, we'll get you one."
As you drove back to the manor with Hugo, you delved into a conversation about Rupert's work.
"You know a little about Rupert's work?" you inquired, curious about your stepfather's business.
Hugo nodded thoughtfully. "All I know is, dad wanted to quit the cannabis business because of Charles."
His mention of Charles brought a warning to mind. "Don't ask anything about weed with Bro Charles," he cautioned.
"Why?" you asked, intrigued by the sudden seriousness in Hugo's tone.
Hugo shook his head solemnly. "Ask Mom or Charlotte."
"Fine," you conceded, understanding the need for caution.
Upon your return to Evergreen Manor, you inquired about your mother's whereabouts from the butler. Learning that Susan was out shopping with friends, you sighed in frustration. With no one else to turn to, you realized you would have to seek answers from Charlotte.
Entering the living room, you spotted Charlotte engaged in a live conversation with her followers. It was clear she was preoccupied. "This will take a while," you muttered to yourself, bracing for what lay ahead.
Four hours later, Charlotte's hostility lingered as she addressed your inability to come to a conclusion on your own.
"Can't you figure it out on your own?" she snapped, arms crossed tightly as if she couldn't bear to share the same air as you.
You sighed, bracing yourself for another round of her disdain. "No, I can't. I've been out of touch with everyone for the past 15 years," you admitted, resigned to the reality of your isolation.
Rolling her eyes in exasperation, Charlotte gestured for you to follow her. You trailed behind her to the barns, where an out-of-place container caught your eye.
As Charlotte swung the door open, a wave of nausea washed over you as the unmistakable scent of weed filled the air.
"Weed," you muttered, the pieces of the puzzle slowly falling into place.
"Dad was making extra money with this, but he wanted out because of Charles," Charlotte explained, her voice tinged with bitterness.
"Why?" you pressed, eager to understand the full extent of the situation.
Charlotte remained silent for a moment, her expression guarded. "This is why you should at least read the emails that Mom sent you, even if you don't want to reply," she scolded.
Her words struck a chord, and you listened intently as she revealed the shocking truth. "Charles overdosed," she continued, her voice heavy with emotion. "We almost lost him. The doctors said he was brain dead. It's truly a miracle that Charles could come back alive. That's the reason why he became a priest."
The revelation left you speechless, your ignorance laid bare before you. "I had no idea," you whispered, grappling with the weight of the revelation.
"But now you know," Charlotte replied, her tone softer. "And you understand why my dad cut off all contact with anything related to drugs."
Charlotte's words hit you like a punch to the gut, stirring up a whirlwind of emotions within you.
"What did you say?" you demanded, your voice tinged with disbelief.
"If you never came here, none of this would have happened," Charlotte muttered, her gaze heavy with accusation.
You bristled at her insinuation. "None of that is my fault," you retorted, feeling the weight of her words bearing down on you.
Charlotte's voice was laced with bitterness as she continued, "Your existence changed Charles."
You recoiled at the truth of her words, the realization hitting you like a ton of bricks. Charles's feelings for you had always been a taboo topic, one you never dared to confront. It explained so much—the distance, the tension, the unspoken truths that lingered between you and your family.
You couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt, even though you knew deep down that you were not to blame. "I didn't even ask to be born," you muttered, a bitter reminder of the unfair hand life had dealt you.
The tension crackled in the air as you and Charlotte locked gazes, each refusing to back down from the confrontation.
"You can't blame me for Charles's choices," you snapped, your frustration boiling over.
Charlotte's eyes flashed with resentment. "I'm not blaming you for his choices, I'm blaming you for existing!" she shot back, her words like daggers aimed at your heart.
Your jaw clenched as you struggled to contain your rising anger. "Well, I'm sorry if my existence inconveniences you so much," you retorted, your voice dripping with sarcasm.
"It's not just about inconvenience, it's about ruining lives!" Charlotte spat, her voice trembling with emotion.
"Ruining lives?" you scoffed, incredulous. "I didn't ask for any of this! I didn't ask to be the reason Charles spiraled out of control."
"Maybe not, but you're still the reason!" Charlotte's voice rose with every word, her frustration reaching its peak.
You took a step closer, your own anger boiling beneath the surface. "And what about me? What about the life I've had to live because of all this?"
Charlotte's expression softened slightly, a flicker of guilt crossing her features. "I know it's not fair to you either," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Then stop blaming me for everything!" you pleaded, the weight of years of resentment and guilt bearing down on you.
"Stop it," Susan's voice cut through the tension, her breath heavy as she approached.
Both you and Charlotte halted, the argument stalling at Susan's arrival. She hurried over, concern etched on her face as she reached Charlotte, who appeared flushed.
"Are you alright?" Susan's voice was laced with worry as she checked on her daughter.
You felt a pang of resentment, knowing that despite being her biological child, Susan often treated Charlotte as her own. It stung, a constant reminder of your place in the family hierarchy.
As Susan tended to Charlotte, you clenched your fists, a surge of frustration coursing through you. You turned away, unable to bear the sight any longer.
Walking away, you pulled out your phone, dialing a number with shaky fingers. "Where are you?"
Tumblr media
Inside the car, you and Bucky sat side by side, watching the second target intently. The bomb had already been discreetly placed under the car, and now it was just a matter of waiting.
Bucky's voice broke the silence, filled with genuine awe. "Damn, watching you do your thing is like watching Picasso paint."
You shrugged nonchalantly, trying to downplay your talent. "Yeah, turns out anger can make me completely focused."
Bucky let out a low whistle, his admiration evident. "Well, color me impressed, sweetheart."
As you both observed the target, a man stumbled out of the club, clearly inebriated. His drunken antics drew attention, and he shamelessly flirted with every girl he encountered, much to your disdain.
"What's the reason for him?" you inquired, unable to hide your distaste for the man's behavior.
Bucky's response was simple yet cryptic. "Someone just really hates him."
Moments later, the target climbed into his car, oblivious to the impending danger. Without hesitation, Bucky pressed the trigger.
'BANG' The explosion echoed through the night as the car erupted in flames, sending shockwaves through the surrounding area.
'KYAA!!'
The chaos erupted as the explosion sent shockwaves through the crowd, eliciting panicked screams from bystanders.
"Too bad the wedding will never happen," Bucky remarked casually, his tone laced with dark amusement.
Your heart sank at his words, a sense of dread settling over you. "Huh?" you muttered, struggling to comprehend the gravity of the situation.
Bucky's pointed gesture toward the burning car made everything click into place. "He's your step-sister's fiancé," he explained bluntly.
A wave of guilt washed over you as you realized the ramifications of your actions. You cursed your ignorance and lack of foresight.
In frustration, you turned on Bucky, your voice trembling with anger."Next time, how about a little warning before we go blowing up someone's bloody ride?"

do you think there was backlash from other scavs when chief and arti befriended and eventually dated each other?
i imagine that quite a few of them would be less than eager to forgive the war criminal
there definitely was a backlash, but probably not to the extent that you'd expect. or at least not in the way you're thinking. both due to how the cycle works, and how I imagine scavenger culture works, i think a majority of them were willing to accept arti being integrated into the tribe, if only begrudgingly.
first and foremost, because arti didn't kill anyone permanently. there's a huge difference between killing and perma-killing, so while arti's crimes were certainly heinous and left a lot of scavs deeply traumatized, the fact that she didn't actually take anyone away from their loved ones made a big difference as to how many of them were willing to tolerate her presence. as long as she was no longer an active threat, most of them were more concerned with helping each other recover and heal from their collective trauma than with trying to interfere with whatever the king had going on with the murder cat.
secondly, and for similar reasons, I think a certain amount of lethal violence is just a normal part of scav culture. obviously nothing to the extent of what arti did, but based on how recklessly they behave in-game, i imagine it's common for scavs to kill each other over minor disputes, by accident, or even for fun. so, the capacity of scavs to move on and coexist with someone who killed them is a deeply ingrained social skill, because it's vital to keeping their society functioning.
of course, there are rules about how much violence is acceptable in any given situation, and just like anything else, breaking those rules requires payback. scavs keep close tabs on who owes what to whom, so anyone witnessing a murder would have a good idea of whether it's justified or not, and whether it warrants retaliation.
for example, if arti had the restraint to only kill the scavs directly responsible for her pups' death, the rest of the garbage wastes tribe would have been like 'ok yeah, fair'. they would've appointed some new toll guards, and the matter would've been considered settled. arti's reputation only tanked because she went way too far, and started targeting scavs who did nothing wrong.
so i think, to the metropolis scavs, arti's massacre was not so much an unspeakable evil as it was just a massive personal transgression. she slaughtered an entire tribe who owed her nothing, and in doing so, she incurred a massive debt to them. so when the king suddenly took a liking to her and decided to integrate her into the tribe, that didn't mean no one was allowed to harm her; it just meant they'd have to forgive her debt once she paid it.
the scav king really couldn't do anything to protect her from this without causing a full scale mutiny. (and honestly, arti is too proud to let him even if he tried. she knows she dug her own grave, and she's going to fucking lie in it as many times as it takes to earn her redemption)
however, he probably did have to set down some rules regarding how and where her victims were allowed to seek revenge, to prevent them from all mobbing her in the street. i imagine the official policy would've been something like:
all disputes with arti must be settled one-on-one in organized arena matches
arti is obligated to accept a challenge for every death she caused
the challenger can either fight her themselves, or they can choose someone to fight for them
anyone willing to fight for arti may do so if she allows it (she won't)
regardless of the outcome, the fight will be considered a blood payment and the dispute will be forgiven
any unprovoked violence towards arti outside of the arena will be considered violence toward an innocent person
thats about as lenient as he could get away with being, and still be fair enough for most scavs to accept. so, yeah, there was a backlash in the sense that many of them wanted revenge, and many of them got it. but it was mostly within the bounds of what's permissible, and it didn't cause any kind of major rift in their community. arti was willing to pay for her place in the tribe with her blood, and most scavs can respect that even if they still don't like her.
and as for the few who still weren't satisfied, and felt the need to make her suffer more than she deserved...
well. lets say they got a personal reminder of what happens to people who hurt the king's loved ones.

Nothing but fiction
Spoilers for Kamen Rider Geats below. Just some interesting thoughts on how concepts from there can fit into SAGAU
I always liked the idea that the true Creator is an absolute jerk going on a power trip and the Imposter (the reader insert) is a nice player who likes the characters for who they are.
If you want to take the Teyvat and its status as entertainment (from our POV) seriously, it's possible that all the bad things that happened in the story aren't because of the Creator being banished or losing to some dark force or whatever, but is all fabricated to make Teyvat feel more "alive."
Eula still being scorned by the public despite doing absolutely nothing wrong? The Creator literally whispers in the NPCs' ears to be mean to her.
Khaenri'ah? Nuked for "world-building."
As for the Yakshas, they discovered the Creator's treachery, but the Creator rewrote them from the ground up and developed the karmic debt system so that most of them died as NPCs before they could spread the truth. The whole Chasm quest was the Creator tying up some loose ends because of Bosacius. Meanwhile, the Creator gets Xiao out of the whole mess, lonely and burdened by karmic debt.
Perfect for giving him "character" and "suffering" so that Xiao's popularity would grow in the public eye.
Players get a cool character, Xiao becomes alone, and the Creator's rouse is maintained. Win-win!
I can see the Creator as being similar to Kekera from KR Geats; viewing their work as nothing but 0s, 1s, polygons, and sprite sheets to develop the "ultimate" story and character. After all, they're untouchable by any of the acolytes and any of their mistakes can be chalked up to "bad writing" from the public viewpoint.
As for the Imposter, they would be someone who loves the characters for who they are; unfiltered by outside influence and their respective strength in-game. They wish with all their heart that the characters' troubles would be solved, so when they wake up in Teyvat, they're super glad to have a chance to fix things.
Meanwhile, the Creator is freaking out since the Imposter is something they don't have trouble over. And they hate not being in control. So, they rewrite Teyvat once more to include a legend of an "Imposter," a being who mimics the appearance of the Creator and seeks to cause trouble. The Creator also adds that whoever brings the face of the Imposter before Celestia, where the Creator lives, will have their burdens cleansed.
After the Creator changes their face to fit the Imposter's and with a little bit of character writing to turn them into religious fanatics, the hunt begins.
The characters I can see being on the Imposter's side would be characters who have access to information banks that the Creator, in their ignorance, would have missed during their rewriting attempts. That would include Nahida, Mona, and whatever sort of academic/studious character who could easily have something on hand as a record of the previous version of the world, where the Imposter was never mentioned in a copy of the religious text.
Of course, those characters won't instantly be defending the Imposter, just not participating in the hunt. But a small fissure can become a large crack, and they soon conduct their own investigations as to the truth of the Imposter.
"This murderous intent, the despair on their face as they watch their favorite characters hunt them down~! This is the best story I've ever made!"

Blitz's TransLyrics - The Purge March MILGRAM
lyrics and demo below!
I ONLY translate and write using the original captions/direct translations of a song. If one of my lyrics seems too similar to a previously established version please let me know! I will change it unless the phrasing is too common or artistically important to me, and even in the latter case I would tweak it the best I can!
Please ask before using demo audio. Lyrics can be used freely with credit to this blog!
A blessed morning unto everyone! It's another beautiful day Delivered by the Lord However, there are blasphemers and idle bystanders who seek to sully it! We must pass our best judgment, With pure mind body and soul We will again today preach What is right and true!
(Hut!) Thou shalt follow the Lord’s given destiny (Hut!) Thou shalt discard all forms of vulgarity (Hut!) Thou shalt do God's will unto those around them (Hut!) Thou shalt do God's will until death
Those sorry words "It can't be helped" From sorry scum who cannot be helped
Make them all now Truly So clearly Beyond doubt purely Guilty as can be!
(Oh it's judgment day)
I disavow you, Here and now
(All thine debts be paid)
It's far too late for you Who broke sacred vows!
(Corrupt eyes and mouth)
Forever shut so No you can't cry out, (oh I hope you’re proud)
I'll crush your throat Send you a flood Your cries are way too loud!
God said No exceptions So kneel And repent, then
You can cry and You can scream and Tell them all you’re “So sorry” Not enough! You gave up your hope
God said No exceptions So kneel And repent, then
You can cry and You can scream and tell them all you’re “So sorry” Not enough! You gave up your hope
If you are a bad girl Then all the monsters Come to play Godliness is magic That keeps monsters far away
Thou shalt follow the destiny the Lord has called to thee
Thou shalt turn away from all forms of vulgarity
Those sorry words "It can't be helped" From sorry scum Who cannot be helped Make them all now Doubtlessly So clearly Unequivocally Truly Guilty as can be!
(Oh it's judgment day)
I disavow you, Here and now
(All thine debts be paid)
It's far too late for you Who broke sacred vows!
(Corrupt eyes and mouth)
Forever shut so No you can't cry out, (oh I hope your proud)
I'll crush your throat Send you a flood Your cries are way too loud!
(Final judgment day!)
This is what I've been called to do!
(All debts shall be paid)
God taught me well Now God wants me To teach you!
(This ends here, right now!)
I'll send one flood Won't forgive Till it's clean (Never again’s our vow)
I'll hand you back The judgment You delivered Unto me!
God said No exceptions So kneel And repent, then
You can cry and You can scream and Tell them all you’re “So sorry” Not enough! You gave up your hope
God said No exceptions So kneel And repent, then
Go on cry Go on scream Tell me you're “So sorry” not enough! I asked You said “NO”
You're sorry? You should be! May God show you mercy
Recall my screams and pleas All the “sorry”s I cried Out to thee! Do you remember them?
You're sorry? Yeah nice try You hypocrite! Now die!
Recall my screams and pleas All the “sorry”s to thee who shall die! I said unto you then?
Thank you for reading/listening!

Kyman rp request!!
Plots:
1.) Similar to my fanfic (https://archiveofourown.org/works/48000550/chapters/121027678) Cartman isn’t around his friends much anymore, finding himself playing the role as ‘The Coon’ most of the time. Most of all though, stalking Kyle from a distance to make sure he is safe. One night Kyle is walking home at night and is held at gunpoint, fortunately Coon is there to stop the criminal. From there Kyle and Coon get to know each other, Kyle being none the wiser to suspect Cartman actually doing something like this. They grow closer the more the Coon stalks Kyle and they interact, eventually leading to romance between the two. Eventually, Coon reveals himself as Cartman.
2.) In a moment of weakness and desperation Kyle posts erotic pictures of his body to a horny ftm subreddit. It just so happens a young chubby boy also frequents the subreddit, in complete disbelief seeing the boy he had been obsessed with on it. Cartman does his best to compose himself and ask Kyle about it as he visits his house.
Kyle first tries to play coy, though he can’t help but to admit what truly happened. Cartman asks what he was thinking about when he took those photos, and when he says him he nearly melted on the floor.
Purely a plot of Cartman getting in a relationship with Kyle that is sappy and cute but also extremely kinky as he dominates him. (Basically for those who want a pure ‘plot what plot?’ kinda thing.)
3.) Kyle is a prince. It’s a fine life, of course, living in a castle, humble servants ready to accommodate, plenty of food, but sometimes it gets a bit dull. He has many ideas to improve the kingdom but never feels heard. He’s at his wits end with it officially once his father asks him to marry a wealthy young man from another kingdom.
The night before he is to wed, he is kidnapped. When he awakes he’s greeted in a cabin seemingly far in the woods in the middle of nowhere. His capture is Eric, a famous thief in search of reward money for eventually ‘finding’ and returning Kyle to the kingdom. Though as Kyle explores his new surroundings, the freedom, the rush of it all and eventually finds love from Eric, he realizes maybe he doesn’t want to be returned.
4.) Little red riding Kyle (based on Eric’s goofy ass book) a young man in a dress and corset, a cape as red as blood wrapped around him wanders into the woods. When venturing a little too far he meets a charming wolf named Eric Cartman (Hybrid fucking thing like the furry he is 😔) the redhead is eventually seduced and fucked and knotted by the wolf. Every day he follows the path, saying he’s ‘visiting his grandma’ who hasn’t been around for years to friends who may ask. Either to get to know mister wolf better, or maybe to get a nice fuck. He likes their arrangement.
5.) Kyle is trying to make his way in the world as a young adult. He’s quickly realizing the lack of money is fucking him over, minimum wage jobs aren’t doing the trick, he can’t afford college or insane debts later. So what is he to do? In a hasty decision he sets up a sugar baby profile online in hopes of some quick cash. Through the multiple messages he spots Eric, a very odd guy that he wants to know more about.
6.) Kyle is desperately seeking a well paying job. In his search he discovers a website for maids looking for work. He eagerly signs up, much to dismay his old- enemy? friend? A little of both? Takes up his offer with money he can’t refuse. He goes to Eric Cartman’s mansion now that he’s apparently a wealthy businessman. Under his supervision he’s forced into a ridiculous short little French maid outfit. He knows very well he’s being eyed down every time he’s bending down to clean up, getting groped and teased every chance Eric gets. Is it bad to say he sort of likes the attention?
Some rules/info! very important!:
-I will be playing Kyle, he will be trans (ftm) in all plots because trans Kyle is canon because I say so :’) If that makes you uncomfortable I’m not the rp partner for you. (And yes I am trans!)
-The characters being of age is a must! You yourself also must be 18 or older because I don’t rp with minors.
-I am literate to advanced lit., the length of my responses vary on what’s happening in the plot and how much detail I can give. I expect and appreciate the same amount of effort in your replies and around the same length.
-Proper grammar and punctuation are a must. (Though if English is your second language but you feel confident with it, I’m more than happy to be a bit lenient on that ^^)
-If you think you’re only going to be able to reply once a month or every once in a while we unfortunately probably won’t work as rp partners. I get super hyped on rps and I try to reply as much as I can, I just ask that you attempt the same but I know life gets busy ^^
-I’m always up for just chatting one on one, discussing the rp, fanart, headcanons, etc! I love making friends and am happy to do so :]
-If I feel like we are unfit as rp partners I may politely decline, though if you have read over the rules and feel like this applies to you then you should be all good ^^ vice versa as well though if I send my starter and you feel like we’re unfit to rp together.
-I really do not enjoy angst, of course some conflict is completely fine especially with these two but please don’t go overboard. I love smut and fluff.
-If you’re comfortable or want to I’m always down discussing mutual kinks to put into spicy scenes, I’m very open when it comes to that.
-I just need to put this here since this is the plot I wrote up uh- please don’t include misgendering in any rp. I know Cartman is a scumbag sometimes but let’s pretend he respects Kyle enough to keep using he/him. Some feminizing in kink is fine ^^
If you read all this and are still on board then hello! :] message me in discord please I’d love to try and rp with you!

Why do you suppose Tankies are so willing to go to bat and play No True Scotsman when it comes to Communist systems that allegedly aren't Marxist and claim that they aren't True Communism?
I think, if I'm being charitable, a lot of people see Communism as the reasonable way out of unreasonable debt. However mostly what I've gleaned from people who argue online in favour of Communism is that their understanding of it lacks the weight of actually living and experiencing it at all.
Many, many things humans come up with are miserable failures in one regard, but find numerous success applied elsewhere. Air conditioning was originally created on the concept that treating malaria was a temperature related illness and while only the best intentions were deployed for the sake of the victims patients, it ultimately failed to help them.
I feel like Communism gets this similar kind of innocence pass because people keep hoisting up the defence of 'best intentions' or 'for the sake of altruism' or 'it deserves a real chance NOW that we know what went wrong for the nth time', not understanding that all human convention, including communism, must seek willful compliance or violent enforcement in order to function. Laws, money, the government, any systems of society are meaningless when the people don't believe in them, but the people at one point gave in and embraced communism for their greater good, and that's the trouble is that it all starts with good intentions.
Many pro-communist sentiments seem to revolve around 'this time we won't be evil when we're in power', that tyranny of kindness some believe is a power that is above humanity, elevated, more learn-ed, enlightened beyond plebeian capitalists.
What a grand ideal to have true equality for the weak and poor, the forgotten and the useless, those that had more always had plenty to spare for everyone and those that didn't have enough to offer now, simply, would grow better with time and assistance from those who had more.
Frankly speaking, I too believed in communism when it was pitched to me as a teen by an older peer and practiced within a handful of friends, but it was willful compliance, and anyone could opt out. I never problematized the idea that someone could force you to stay in or force you to get a job you didn't want. I think a lot of people get all rose-tinted and delusional about how they imagine communism works in practice on the scale they desire it to be, refusing to acknowledge that the things they demand are ultimately someone else's labour at gunpoint that will inevitably be turned on themselves.
TLDR: tankies repeatedly fail to understand the road to hell is paved with good intentions

owner of The Love Tap, a cabaret club in Wall Market, Madame Leblanc provides a theatrical, yet sensual, form of entertainment for all it's patrons. their main colour scheme revolves around pinks, purples, and blues, though nothing too gaudy for the main floor. the club boasts several back rooms for more intimate dances, but the dancers themselves are the ones to decide how intimate these sessions get. Leblanc is often seen in her signature bright pink outfit (very similar to her outfit in X-2), complete with big ass fan, which she has been known to use as a weapon if need be. her two bodyguards, Logos and Ormi, are nearly always seen by her side, and act as the main pair of bouncers for the club.
besides their unique form of entertainment, The Love Tap is also known to be rather flexible with their dancers background. Leblanc has taken in many an employee, regardless of their background, providing a judgement free enviroment for those seeking a second chance. these range from former employees of Shinra, who have been 'released from duty' for whatever reason, those that have been otherwise shunned from working with organisations such as Avalanche or Wutai, or perhaps from other crime syndicates in Wall Market or the Gold Saucer.
she asks few questions about a person's history, the only major requirements that they don't spill company secrets, they're loyal to her (to some degree) and they're willing to work. you will get bonus points for not asking too many questions about her in return. many also have come to realise that Leblanc is not their matron's true name, but none have dared ask what her true name is, lest they get the infamous heel.
on a deeper level, however, The Love Tap is merely a cover for the Leblanc Syndicate. a semi-organised underground crime organisation that markets high end tactical gear, discarded tech that has been repurposed and modified (which they really shouldn't have their hands on), and underground materia. they distribute a lot of discarded Shinra tech, repurposed into gear that may or may not be entirely fit for purpose, but will protect the wearer from getting stabbed or shot a least a little bit. the materia they market comes with the cost that it can be extremely volatile, but the pay off can be extremely worth it, in the right hands. but these details are only semi-important, as their products have received the reputation of being known to work. she's not terribly selective with the type of client she takes on, but her nos are usually fine. if she gets any whiff of danger, her and her mechandise are out of there.
while some of the staff of The Love Tap have entered the service through owing a debt to the Syndicate, a lot of the staff are there because Leblanc gave them a second chance. they had nowhere else to go and Leblanc gave them a roof over their head, food in their stomachs, and a job. many of the staff are incredibly loyal to Leblanc and would do a lot to ensure the safety of her, the club, and any shadier dealings the club might be host to.

hi, i'd appreciate a little advice on this. as someone who is currently seeking a career in creative writing similar to yours, do you have any advice for those just starting out? i don't have much connections to my local industry and i don't really have a mentor that would help me with this.
if it helps, i am an undergrad (but soon to be fresh grad).
congrats on your soon to be graduation!
your best bet is going to be applying for cw MFA programs, which would offer both connections and mentorship. you're going to want to look for fully funded programs, which is to say, programs that cover your tuition and offer a monthly stipend in exchange for teaching composition or cw. don't apply anywhere you have to pay for. it's never worth it to go into debt, and moreover, paid programs are a nightmare mix of gross wealth and competition for what little funding there is.
but! if you're still in your early 20s, there's no harm at all in holding off on the MFA to work somewhere full-time for a while. i thought my 5-year gap between my undergrad degree and my grad degree made me a poor candidate for grad school but really that's what most people do. undergrad puts you through the ringer and there's no shame in recovering from academic burnout for a while. one good thing about a career in writing is that there's genuinely no hurry. the more life experience you can pick up, the more inspiration there is to draw from. so have fun, don't rush, live your life as close to the way you want to live it as possible.
the first and maybe hardest thing to accept about a career in writing is that you'll always have to split your attention. almost no one is a full-time creative writer. but the good news is that there are lots of jobs related to writing. you could go into publishing and be an editor or agent. once you get your MFA you can teach college courses or work in a writing center. or you can go into commercial copywriting or copyediting (that's where the big money is). it's hard to make enough money to live on just your creative work, but there's a ton of money in adjacent fields.
as far as pursuing publication, i would focus on short form. read short stories, write short stories, publish short stories. (or if you write nonfiction, focus on essays.) short form allows you to practice the complete drafting, revising, submitting, and publishing process in a safer and more contained space than novel publishing. once you go through the entire process over and over again, you gain the extremely valuable, extremely rare skill of knowing when something is finished. it's absolutely necessary to reach that feeling, that little click when you know something you've written is the best version of the thing it is and more edits will only turn it into something different, not better. getting to that point lends you confidence and security in your own work.
more specifically, i recommend writing one short story, max 4k words, the best work you're capable of. now you have a writing sample for applications and awards, and something to publish. getting a good sample ready will start opening doors for you.
while you're doing research on figuring out what lit mags to send to, keep an eye out for publications looking for slush readers. there is no experience more valuable than putting yourself on the other side of the submission window. you get a very rapid understanding of what editing really is, what kinds of stories are out there, and where your own work stands. you'll also gain some connections that way, and maybe some editorial mentorship. these positions aren't paid, but they also aren't a huge time commitment, and it's worth its weight in gold in helping you accept rejection. the rejections you receive hit different when you know how it feels to vote thumbs down on someone else's work.
if your goal is to eventually get an agent and then a book deal with a big publisher, know that the road there is a long one, and that's a good thing. i feel horrible for writers who debut at 25 to major acclaim. it may seem like a dream come true, but it's a curse. first of all, now that i'm in my 30s, i'm glad it's taken me this long to get where i am, because i'm confident enough in my work and i know what i'm doing well enough to push back on things like bad edits. i can, and have, turned down people interested in my work who didn't actually vibe with it. you want to hold out for the people who love your work for the same reasons you love it. it takes a long time to cultivate that kind of security, the belief that you and you alone know what's best for the story you're trying to tell. too many voices too early on can ruin something beautiful.
also, in literary fiction, the debut novel is a big deal. it might be in other genres too but specifically in literary fiction, a book deal isn't just a book deal. it's your introduction into the community. once you have a book out, you'll start getting ARCs for blurbs, requests for interviews, signings, juror requests, maybe even commission work from big magazines. so it's not just "oh i finished a novel time to publish it i guess." a debut is "this is the absolute best work i'm capable of, i know and have faith in what it's doing, i know my own unique style and aesthetics, i know where it belongs, and i'm ready to share it with others."
that might be hard to take in and i know i didn't listen at all when my mentors told me not to rush publishing. i put a lot of undue pressure on myself when i should have been focusing on craft, and i also queried agents when my first manuscript was only half-baked. i can't tell you how badly i regret that. i went out with my second manuscript instead, which was a bigger risk but i was far more confident in it, and which signed me an agent and got me on the desks of dozens of editors. one editor put a bid in but her publisher said no. so i ran a marathon only to get to the finish line and have to turn back. i started writing it in 2016; the last round of submissions was late 2021. five years, and it's still not published. and it may never be. but there will be other manuscripts, other editors, and other opportunities. and as time passes i only gain a sharper understanding of what i'm trying to get on the page.
meanwhile, there's plenty to do before big publication. put your work out there. apply for workshops, residencies, grants, awards. start building up your CV. keep writing and generating new work to build up your portfolio. keep an eye out for opportunities that come your way. just yesterday a residency reached out to me to ask me to be a juror on their application board and in exchange they're giving me a month-long stay at their place (i can't tell you how much i love residencies. pain in the ass to apply for but a godsend once you get in). you just never know what's going to open doors for you; a publication in a small magazine might net you award nominations, maybe even award wins. the more you put yourself out there, the more rejections you'll receive, yeah, but the acceptances can be huge. unfortunately that means it's hard to plan your future, but it also helps you develop faith in yourself knowing good things will come your way at some point, as long as you keep writing and sharing your work.

Tell me about the fragment of Tatyana from Athas?
(OOC—thank you for asking! This is all very non-canonical, based on Taty’s appearance in Christie Golden’s Vampire of the Mists as well as the events of P. N. Elrod’s I, Strahd: Memoirs of a Vampire.)
The poor, mad thing was discovered on the outskirts of the Crescent Forest. The men who found her were not especially cruel and even tried to help her. She could not give them a name, so they called her Chalk—after her skin, seemingly untouched by Athas’ oppressive sun. They found a home for her with one of Nibenay’s slightly less impoverished families.
It couldn’t last, however, as that family ran afoul of a templar named Nuon. The Shadow King’s templars are unique on Athas as they are not only exclusively female, but also rumored to serve as the Nibenese sorcerer-king’s wives. Nuon had seen Chalk and decided the girl would make a perfect addition to the Shadow King’s harem.
Naturally, the templar manufactured a number of misfortunes to befall Chalk’s family. When it seemed their children would soon be sold into slavery by their debtors, Nuon approached them with an alternative—sell Chalk to her.
Chalk had only spoken a few words by that point, and she seemed no more capable of caring for herself than when she was first found. Nuon assured them she could provide a better standard of care for the girl than would be possible if Chalk stayed with the family, even should they find some more agreeable way to resolve their debts.
Reluctantly, they complied with her request.
Nuon named her Chakhana. She would have teachers, attendants, a small but luxurious home—all in preparation for her service to the Shadow King.
Chakhana did not take the change well. She had grown fond of the family, in her own way, and she longed for their simple kindness.
The nightmares began immediately.
Her attendants all complained of similar dreams. A dark-haired young man with skin like Chakhana’s, dressed in impractical finery, a black-and-red hilt protruding from his chest. Another man, similar to the boy but old and terrible, pursuing the unfortunate dreamer through an unfamiliar green landscape. A fall through endless mist.
The attendants and teachers grew less stable as restful sleep proved impossible. Nuon would bring in new staff over the years, but the dreams spared no one. Yet each time she saw Chakhana, who hadn’t aged a day since she was found, Nuon became more determined to mold the girl into a suitable wife for her husband-king.
Nuon’s pet project led her to neglect the schemes of her sisters in Nibenay’s service. She was executed over a fabricated crime some 30 years after acquiring Chakhana.
Chakhana and her staff, hidden away as they were, were forgotten.
After suffering Chakhana’s nightmares far longer than any before them, the dreams bled into the remaining attendants’ waking hours. The terrible old man warned them of the will of the gods. The young man bled to death at their feet. Voices cried of murder and betrayal.
They came to believe Chakhana was one of these gods, that she had been betrayed by the sorcerer-kings and their templars, by the elemental cults, and by the defilers who had destroyed her green world.
They would seek out young men—especially those bearing a resemblance to the one they saw in their dreams—and sacrifice them to their new goddess.
The dreams became more twisted as the sacrifices increased. The Weeping Goddess—for that was her only visible reaction to their murderous worship—sent them more dreams of dead men. They began taking more sacrifices. Finally, they drew the attention of the Shadow King and his templar-wives.
The Shadow King ordered Chakhana’s “followers” killed. He had the Weeping Goddess brought before him and asked what manner of god she could be. He dared her to demonstrate her power.
She looked upon his face as few among even his templar-wives had. Her weeping had stopped.
“No,” she told him, smiling with relief.
She continued to smile even as she was engulfed in white-hot sand.

72 seconds of non-data entry mode to ramble something
I am doing data entry and I need to take a break for a moment.
Here is your irregular reminder that you do not build wealth investing -- you grow wealth (or if you do not have wealth, then money) with investing.
Tumblr media
This is an extremely overlooked and unfucking believably important difference.
You should only invest the cash you are comfortable saying good bye to for years, and possibly forever, should everything go to hell with your stock picks (or significantly preferably: your fund picks that track an index, industry, etc.)
If you do not have money like that, then you should invest in a high-yield savings account that is FDIC insured (study these terms at nerdwallet or similar)
If you do have money like that but are not comfortable, see above
I see so many goddamn fucking "you should invest if you want to retire someday"
(waves hi from 2008 financial crisis still affecting the world today)
Tumblr media
It should be:
You should take care of your day-to-day
You should structure non-housing debt as much as possible so the highest interest rates (typically credit cards) are paid off as possible
You should keep an eye on who is charging you monthly fees and seek to minimize them as much as possible on all levels -- if you are charged a late fee continuously for XYZ bill, is there something you can do to alter this? -- even if it is a small fee
If you have a mortgage, as possible, you should factor in 1 extra payment per year (1 month of payment divided by 12 = the amount you add to your monthly payment explicitly and exclusively to the principle)
(-- if you cannot do this due to finances and/or your bank does not allow you to, then take this amount and put it into a high-yield savings account every month so it grows in parallel to your mortgage, and can be tapped someday to pay off the balance, when savings = said end balance)
etc.
Tumblr media
and advice should always include regular reminders the system is rigged to benefit you when you have cash and break you when you do not
and so the times when you do not are extremely unlikely to be a moral or ethical failing
i.e.
any guilt you feel over this is very likely a result of various market and marketing forces to make you feel like shit in order to
drum roll please
make someone else money because
drum roll crescendo
the system is rigged to benefit those with cash
protect yourself financially + mentally
guilt is not profitable to your personal financial situation
okay back to work I've gotta data entry now

32. Conductor Battle #1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Original Song: Cabinet Battle #1
Neku and his friends confront the Conductor, Megumi Kitaniji, on their way to facing the Composer, but he has a few tricks up his sleeve.
You know, in hindsight, I don’t think I enjoyed photoshopping these little displays together all that much. Still, it had its moments, like customising that laughing possessed Shiki sprite, which looks incredibly cursed up close.
This song is one that I keep kicking myself for not thinking to do from the start. It’s such an obvious fit that tackles a fairly important event and even has a corresponding second song that I already used for the second similar event yet for some reason it never occurred to me until after I’d done all the others. Washington On Your Side at least had a broad range of potential applications and I was considering using it exclusively for Reaper characters at one point but this one was a no-brainer that proved I have no brain.
First Song: Neku Sakuraba
Previous Song: The Composer On Your Side
Next Song: Hurricane
Index
Transcript:
[HANEKOMA] Ladies and gentlemen, you coulda been anywhere in the world tonight, but you’re here with us in the Shibuya River. Are you ready for a Conductor showdown???
The issue on the table: Neku and his friends’ plan to usurp the role of Composer and bring everyone back to life. Megumi, he has the floor now.
[MEGUMI] The Composer’s concern is mankind’s happiness. He stands for that ideal; He wouldn’t settle for less Of His noble care, He declares how to lead ‘em You dare to think you’d fare? You can’t beat ‘em
[REAPERS] Oww!
[MEGUMI] But you children forget Your plan would have you freely pay off every debt Now, place your bets as to whom that benefits: The egotists in power where you intend to sit
[BEAT] Not true!
[MEGUMI] Ooh, if the shoe fits, wear it You serve only yourselves— Why don’t you just declare it? Fools! To think you’d gain from His Game? You can’t beat Him; you’re not even on the same plane
The Composer is driven by boundless love He redeems. You just seek a higher view from above The self-centred toll for such absolute control Is a short-sighted goal that serves the sole few and not the whole
A droll waste of time, Soul on the line To even meet One so divine would be far over the line The Composer is the shepherd of humanity’s future Imagine what would happen if it was left to you butchers
[HANEKOMA (REAPERS)] Thank you, Conductor Kitaniji (That's my Conductor!) Rebellious Ex-Players, their response
[BEAT] Yo Shades. Those words o’ yours sure sounded pretty Welcome to the real world, we’re fixin’ a broke city Yo you wanna join us, or stay chillin’ Makin’ whoever do your biddin’ like some second-rate villain?
[SHIKI] If we save Rhyme from death, the time we spent Just trying to get home is finally all ours to own How are we not so owed? I was victoriously made a loan After all we fought for? The Composer should get overthrown
[NEKU] He says the word and you roll over. Hey Rover! Your master’s will is making us all stand still “Driven by boundless love, He redeems.” Yeah, keep rolling We know what he’s actually controlling.
[BEAT] An’ anotha’ thing, Mr. Age of “Enlightningment” Don’t lectcha' us about the Game: you didn’t fight in it! You think I’m scared a’ you, man? We almost died in those zones While you were here getting high on your own
[NEKU] Conductor Megumi, why can’t you see what you’re doing? Can’t see through me—without the Composer who would you be? Composer, he's too long unopposed, sir, we're his disposers Anyone'd be better than that mind-controlling poser
[BEAT] We gon’ take him down in two hits Hey, turn around, bend over, I’ll show you Where my shoe fits
[MEGUMI] You see? That self-serving rubbish is the root of all pain! You will be made to submit to the Composer's will. Observe!
[SHIKI] Argh!
[NEKU] Shiki!
[MEGUMI] Now we play for keeps
[MEGUMI/SHIKI] Now we play for keeps
[MEGUMI] Aha-ha-ha ha!
[MEGUMI/SHIKI] The Composer has to rebuild Shibuya and now we play for keeps
[MEGUMI] Such a blunder sometimes it makes me wonder why I even bring the thunder
[SHIKI] Why he even brings the thunder…
[BEAT] You gotta get ya head in the game!
[NEKU] I’m sorry, but how, when Shiki's free will has been claimed?
[BEAT] Yo man, girl be tryin'a kill us, we got no choice
[NEKU] So we let our friend get used to speak with this guy's voice?
[BEAT] What can we do?
[NEKU] First, we'll see this through. Let's take out Shades!
[MEGUMI] Ugh, I see now why he picked you...
[NEKU] We beat Shades but Shiki's still fighting, that’s a nonstarter
[BEAT] Winning was easy, yo, but saving her’s harder Forgive me Shiki, but...
[NEKU] Don't! We need to destroy that pin!
[BEAT] Behind you, stupid! Look out for them dolls!
[NEKU] Argh! What just happened?
Beat and Shiki are out cold; that red skull pin's been played. How could Hanekoma use us in this way!?
So…
One last fight, and then it’s over. Now it’s just me and the Composer

This is a longgggggggggg yet detailed prophecy. Please sit somewhere comfortable when listening to it 👂🏾
This has got to be one of the most beautiful prophetic words I have ever received.
🥲🥹♥️
I don’t call you all “Children of God” for nothing 😂
God has not forgotten you.
I also wanted to add Jesus’ shirt was in the middle of the hut which means we must put him at the centre of our lives babes.
My condolences to those who have lost a child.
God is restoring everything you lost plus SOME.
You are blessed!!!
PS. Recall the LORD had given us a similar prophetic word before. He had said to me “back to back”. Well the Chiefs have won back to back and PATRICK Mahomes is my Dad’s favourite QB. Drake has a song called “Back to Back” 😁🇨🇦
Also the numbers 5 and 11 are important here in addition to the numbers 7, 3, 6, 9 and 12
God will be speaking to many of you through your DREAMS. Pay attention.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
PPS. The LORD showed me the little boy was Jack Harlow.
You are ALL welcome into the family of God no matter where you live or the colour of your skin.
I was shown Lions and Elephants again… they all have a few things in common BIG FAMILIES and are extremely PROTECTIVE of each other.
When the family feuds, no one benefits. It’s time to heal my loves. It’s time to seek DELIVERANCE from some serious demons that are attached to your bloodline.
Some of you need not just spiritual healing but PHYSICAL and it is coming.
Some FINANCIAL healing is coming as well. Debts cancelled or paid off MIRACULOUSLY.
Here are the names of Joseph’s sons. What’s crazy is the LORD revealed to me that Chase Claypool was from the tribe of Manasseh. He’s the only person I know who God revealed to me was from that tribe. His NICKNAME is Mapletron 🍁🇨🇦
Read the KING JAMES version of Genesis 41 for other nuggets of information.
Tumblr media
Don’t forget the good times and all the moments when you were blessed when the bad times roll around. Let this message and the blessings to come be a reminder that God has NOT forgotten you and he can restore ALL….Double portion for your shame, loss, misfortune and humiliation.
Get ready because God is going to exalt you amongst the nations.
PPS: recall I told you that God blessed Egypt 🇪🇬 recently. When I had put out the word that the LORD said this Israeli Hamas conflict could spill over into neighbouring countries, Egypt then acted quickly. So fast it surprised even me. This is the foresight and decision making that is needed at this time. Egypt protected their citizens just as Pharaoh did even though Pharaoh was from a different religion. The LORD was pleased with this move by Egypt 🇪🇬
Pharaoh listened to the man of God named Joseph because he could see he was wise, even though he was a prisoner and more lowly than him. He could see God was with him.
Remember I had spoken about Louis Vuitton a BILLION DOLLAR company whose designer is Pharrell Williams. The family name Williams is important here as well. I did see that.
Ensure though, that you HEED the warnings for they too are meant to protect you and keep you on the right path. Let the LORD be your guide as he was to Moses, his brother Aaron and the Hebrews.
What is coming is going to impact the entire world. No one will be immune from it. Why do you think God has gathered all of us HERE TODAY? Remember Covid-19 and how ill prepared we were for that catastrophic event. That can’t happen again. This time we will be ready. That was a trial run.
Pizza HUT 🛖 means something to someone here too. Maybe you love Pizza. 🍕 or have a restaurant. It’s important farmers are aware of this as well. Without them we would have NO FOOD. They deserve RESPECT and APPRECIATION ❗️we cannot forget them. They need to be warned ⚠️
Remember this previous message. It applies now but also for another upcoming prophetic word ⤵️
Pray for WISDOM, HEALING and DISCERNMENT and ladies, pray for your husbands. They need it NOW more than ever. They will need your support!!
Images The LORD showed me ⤵️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly, the LORD showed me himself as a genie 🧞‍♂️ with HUGE BICEPS 💪🏾 hugging a large group of us humans. We were so small compared to him we could have been dots. He scooped us all into his arms. Please know you are loved babes… DEARLY and more than I could ever express.
It reminded me of the Monster gif I use when I want to hug 🫂 someone digitally. I am a hugger 😅😅😅😅😅 I will squeeze you to death 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are tasked with saving the lives of many people just as Jesus was/is.
The day FRIDAY means something to someone as well.
Deuteronomy 15:6 says ⤵️
“For the LORD your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you”.
It looks like we will have to change Joe Burrows and Joe Biden’s last name to Joe Lenders 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣9️⃣ get it? (Drake and Kendrick ain’t got nothing on me with them barz and yes I wrote this, well God helped me and that’s ok) 🤣
I’d read the full Deuteronomy 15 for details.
The Benediction:
All praises go to you, our God and Christ Jesus your only begotten son. Thank you for being here for us. Thank you for showing us favour and MERCY by giving us this prophetic word hereby protecting us from what is about to come. Thank you for blessing us. May our lives bring you GLORY. We love you too!
PPPS: We will need to be strong 💪🏾 in these trying times babes.

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy can be a lifeline for those drowning in debt. It's the most common type and is known as liquidation bankruptcy. Here's how it works:
Debt Elimination: Chapter 7 aims to eliminate most of your unsecured debts, such as credit cards and medical bills.
Secured Debts: Secured debts like mortgages and car loans aren't typically erased. You'll need to work out a repayment plan with the lender.
What You Can Keep: Understanding Texas Exemptions
While Chapter 7 involves selling assets to pay creditors, this often doesn't happen. Texas bankruptcy laws protect essential belongings:
Your Home (Usually): Texas homestead exemptions typically allow you to keep your primary residence.
Essential Belongings: Furniture, tools of your trade, and everyday items are usually exempt.
Is Your 401(k) Safe?
Yes! Your retirement savings in a 401(k) are generally protected in Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. This means you can keep saving for your future.
Important Note: Keep Your Funds Invested
The protection applies as long as the money stays in your 401(k). Withdrawing funds exposes them to seizure by creditors.
Seek Expert Advice: Consult a Texas Bankruptcy Lawyer
Bankruptcy laws can be complex. While your 401(k) is usually safe, there might be exceptions. A Texas bankruptcy lawyer can guide you through the process specific to your state and ensure your retirement savings are protected.
Self-Filing vs. Lawyer:
You can file for bankruptcy yourself, but it's a complex process.  Hiring a Texas bankruptcy lawyer increases your chances of success and reduces stress.

What are the Pros and Cons of Debt Fund Investments?
Tumblr media
Many people shy away from investing because of the perceived risk. They hear stories of volatile markets and worry about losing money. But what if there was a way to invest and grow your wealth with comparatively lower risk?
Understanding Debt Funds
Think of debt funds like loans you give to reliable institutions like the government or established companies. These institutions borrow money by issuing bonds, and debt funds pool your money together to invest in these bonds. In return for the loan, you receive regular interest payments, similar to how you earn interest on a savings account. Additionally, you get your principal amount back when the bond matures (like getting your loan repayment). If you wish to know more, contact a reliable mutual fund company in Bhavnagar.
Types of Debt Funds and Investment Horizons
Debt funds come in various flavors, each catering to different investment horizons (the timeframe for which you plan to invest):
Short-Term Debt Funds (Up to 3 Years): Ideal for parking your money for a short period, like a down payment on a car or an upcoming vacation. These funds invest in bonds with shorter maturity periods, offering easy access to your money and relatively low risk.
Medium-Term Debt Funds (3-5 Years): A good option for saving for a child's education or a wedding. These funds invest in bonds with slightly longer maturity periods, offering potentially higher returns compared to short-term funds, while still maintaining a moderate level of risk.
Long-Term Debt Funds (5 Years and Above): If you're planning for retirement or a long-term goal, consider long-term debt funds. These funds invest in bonds with longer maturities, aiming for potentially higher returns over the long term, but also carrying slightly higher risk compared to shorter-term options.
Pros and Cons of Debt Funds
Debt funds offer several advantages, making them a good fit for many investors:
Lower Risk: Compared to stocks or equity funds, debt funds generally carry lower risk because you're lending money to established institutions. While there's always a slight chance of default (not getting your money back), it's typically lower than the risk associated with stocks.
Regular Income: Debt funds provide regular interest payouts, similar to a fixed deposit. This can be a good source of steady income, especially for retirees or those seeking a predictable cash flow.
Liquidity: Many debt funds, especially short-term ones, offer high liquidity. This means you can easily withdraw your money when needed, making it suitable for short-term financial goals.
Potential for Capital Appreciation: While not their primary focus, some debt funds can offer some capital appreciation (growth in the value of your investment) along with interest income.
However, it's important to be aware of some limitations:
Lower Returns Compared to Stocks: Debt funds typically offer lower returns compared to stock-based investments. This is because lower risk often translates to lower potential returns.
Interest Rate Risk: The value of debt funds can fluctuate with changes in interest rates. When interest rates rise, the value of existing bonds might decrease.
Conclusion
Debt funds are a valuable tool for investors seeking a balance between risk and return. They offer lower risk than stocks, provide regular income, and are generally more liquid than many other investment options. While they might not offer the sky-high returns of stocks, they can be a great choice for investors with short-term goals or those who prioritize capital preservation.
