seeing the phrase #kick in 2024 was not on my bingo card SPLIQI YOURE A VOLTRON VETERAN TOO?? but anyway the premise is lance gets bitten by a lovebug alien thing (oh the wonders of alien plot devices), and keith has to navigate Complicated Feelings. also lance is very touchy and the rest of the team are super unhelpful about it pfft. heres a snippet!

It’s… almost intimate, in a way. Like they’ve been doing this for years. And it’s that thought — not the idea of touching Lance, no, but the thought of sharing some sort of exclusive relationship with Lance — that gets Keith feeling flustered. The idea of him and Lance being… serious. Real.

It’s a dangerous box to open, so Keith locks that shit up and shoves it into the deep, deep parts of his heart. Emotional vulnerability, who? Confronting feelings, who? Don’t know ‘em.

Besides, the lovebug effect will fade away soon. Then everything will be back to normal. Keith will be fine. Perfectly fine. A-okay.

i'm thinking about kira this evening and her affinity for historical clothing ^^ does she have a favorite period drama? is she a stickler for accuracy in film costumes or does she let it slide for aesthetics?

I think her favorite period drama has to be the BBC Miniseries version of Pride and Prejudice! It's such a classic story and she'd really like it's accuracy to the books. Despite having seen it a ton she gets hooked to it every time, ahaha! She would watch all kinds of historical dramas and romance for sure. I don't think she ever expects historical dramas to be perfectly accurate -- their goal is to appeal to their audience of the time of the production, not to be a true recreation. She herself def has a few piece she's made that are more historically 'inspired' than accurate. But she appreciates it when they make attempts for SURE, and she'd like learning about why the costume designer in question made the decisions they did. Kira's someone who doesn't only love clothes just for being clothes, but she loves learning about why and how they're made too. (There can also be things that cross the line too, for sure tho. The fact no one in Bridgerton wore a chemise under their gown? Offensive. Fully broke her out of the story.)

Im usually much too shy to send asks but you gotta be the change you want to see, and i agree that asks need to stay so: would you rather right 1 horse sized rat, or 100 rat sized horses?

ah yikes... so my knee jerk reaction is "the 100 rat-sized horses, certainly, as those can be picked off one at a time." however the risk of my conscience catching up to me by the 30th or 40th horse is too great. how much death could I inflict upon these rat-sized horses before I vow to see death no more? even if pure survival instinct drives me through all 100, what of the aftermath? surrounded by the carnage of 100 tiny horses with only my own wet breath among 100 still chests? inconceivable. war is hell.
