I'm so glad you liked it! I didn't even mean to write that much! I was just going to write about Eve and Neon but once I got done with Eve I thought of Yinu which then made me think of Sayu which made me think ahead to Tatiana's fight but I had to finish 1010's first, ugh! It was so much fun to write!

Also that "let us die in piece" was actually a typo lol! Meant to write "peace" but by that point I had already spent about 3-4 hours on the ask so I missed some obvious errors like that lol.

As for White being a jerk, he is one because he feels like his life was ripped away from him and that he is being punished all thanks to Blue's actions.

Blue attacked Ex-Jay, attacked West, attacked B2J and yet HE was promoted to leader because White couldn't handle the pressure of leader. White became just a figurehead for 1010 while Neon gave all the responsibility and power of leader to Blue.

Not only that, but Blue is the reason Purple was destroyed by Tatiana. Blue attacked a human (either West or Ex-Jay, idk which right now) and was supposed to be the one Tatiana destroyed, but Purple jumped in the way to save Blue.

So to White, everything is Blue's fault, even before Blue stopped the revolution. Once the negative changes happened after the revolution (1010 being stripped of their ability to fight back, hatred of robots forming, and NSR turning very toxic), White just kept blaming Blue for everything.

It is similar to Eve in the sense that both of them blame it all on Blue, and then that blame extends to others. Like White is mean and resentful to the other 1010 members because he is no longer the leader and feels like they don't respect him anymore, which would be Blue's fault.

There is also an internalized hatred of himself for not being a good leader when he was one. Thinking that maybe he could have stopped Blue but failing to do so. He refuses to accept blame however, and instead turns that hate for himself into hate for others.

It also doesn't help that once things started getting toxic and people started gaining up on 1010, the only people lower than White in terms of power were Yellow, Red, and Green. So of course White is going to try and force whatever power he has over them to try and get the feeling he is a leader again. And to try and MAKE those three respect him through fear, similar to how Tatiana runs NSR.

The only reason that White isn't fully fears by the rest of 1010 is because Red stays near Neon or Blue, Yellow knows how to pin the blame onto others, and Green doesn't give a shit about life anymore. Which just infuriates White more because he doesn't have power.

It's not even like he is power-hungry and wants to control everything (like Tatiana), he just wants some control of his life and to be able to make his own decisions. He is following Tatiana's rule but acting more like Yinu, except being a lot more hostile/aggressive instead of depressed and docile like Yinu is.

So yeah, just White not being able to deal with losing autonomy and being punished for other people's mistakes would be the biggest reasons why he is an asshole.

aww anon i understand--this type of analysis is not what we're used to here, especially for several days in a row. i've got experience in a different fandom where it was essentially these intense symbolism breakdowns and discussions all day every day, but i know it isn't for everyone. it definitely takes a lot of brain power to even just read them, let alone write them.

i'll be honest that i'm kind of living for the dapc content here on tumblr--everyone is so talented and i am devouring every theory and art piece. its really breathed some new life into our little community and i'm actually gonna be sad once it's over.

i get where you're coming from and it's understandable if you need to take some time, cause the subject matter is dark and gorey and since that's not typically what we come to dnp (or dnp tumblr) for, it can be a lot to process. i really want to show them that there Is an audience for this and we see the vision and adore it, so i don't want to rush them into whatever the next thing is. give this space to breath. let her have her moment yknow? but at the same time, i'm so curious how they're gonna segue. we're in a whole new era, not to mention the fact that it's taken over the merch website! will they drop the curtain? are we gonna get dapc interstitial advertisements? or will the link just be in the description and the rest up to us? who knows! i'm excited. it's really been just a lovely reminder about how fucking cool it is to be a fan of dan and phil in 2024.

new therapist update. we just had our first session and she is AMAZING in every single way. i feel so fucking lucky

Hey! Didn’t mean to keep ya waitin’ for so long. My thoughts on bein’ a mom, huh? Man, where do I even begin?

Well… it wasn’t easy, that’s for sure. I never really planned on being a mom; it was one of those “if it happens, it happens and if it doesn’t, then it doesn’t” things. Now, I don’t wanna say we didn’t know what we were getting into ‘cause that just sounds irresponsible, y’know? But, it’s kinda true. It was more work than we anticipated. A lot more work. It ain’t like the movies where it’s all sunshine and rainbows and shit.

Looking back on it now, I think me growin’ up without my own mom made it a bit harder, since I don’t have a motherly figure to copy or to go to for advice, so it was lots of trial and error — a lotta “fuck, what do I do?” moments, not gonna lie to ya.

I’m hesitatin’ to say it but… It was really hard to let go of my ‘I do what I want when I want’ mentality. God, I’m sure I sound like a mondo bitch for sayin’ that, but it’s true… As much as I hate to admit it. I’d never been responsible for anything else before, especially not a baby, like, I’d never even babysat before, I didn’t know what to do!

Er, sorry for rambling. My thoughts on being a mom, tho? I like it. Sure I don’t exactly fit in with other moms and it ain’t always easy, but I love my li’l munchkins. I’ve never regretted having either of ‘em for even a second and I’d never trade ‘em for anything. ♡

i played through a chunk of it today and it really exceeded my expectations in terms of story!! definitely has already outdone at least s3 + s4 in terms of character development. very curious in particular about barbatos' role in mc's time travel, and also his past self's beef with solomon

though i have two chief complaints - 1. the 3d models unnerve me (mostly in in the knockoff tiktok app and that one video call during the tutorial, where you see them and the really awkward expressions up close - it's not as bad from afar in the wanderer's whereabouts hangout things. speaking of the ww feature, i like the concept, but the harry potter reference does piss me off a little)

2. i HATE the remixes they use for the rhythm games. they sound so bad. please just use the original songs for the love of GOD

i'm also a little confused by solomon's role - i appreciate him being a lifeline, but he's weirdly blasé about the whole situation, and i can't tell if he's being written with his relationship with mc kind of out of focus, or if we're meant to be suspicious about it. also i would like to know more about what's going on in the present? wonder if there'll be any cutaways in hard mode that might tell us

ANYWAY all that aside, about ik!! i do confess i've already started thinking of how she'd cope in the same situation as mc, but there's a lot that we'd have to change about the situation - 1. ik can't do magic, so a lot of mc's feats are unaccomplishable for her, and 2. given the major size difference between demons and humans in jtta, it'd be very hard for anyone to mistake her for a demon

tbh one word for ik in this scenario: burnout. she's trying her best but the love of god can she not have a peaceful life

also (and this may be a little evil), honestly i don't think i'd give ik the present-solomon lifeline. i've got this sorta idea in my head of a different kind of lifeline, where ik's pact with the brothers and the sheer strength of their found family bond, plus the weird nature of time around her, means that every now and then, the present-brothers briefly snap into the minds of the past-brothers that ik's currently stuck with

the only thing i've done with this concept is the idea of present-lucifer briefly zapping into past-lucifer's consciousness, and comforting ik about how cold the past-brothers are with a hug - then midway through the hug, he gets booted out again and past-lucifer zaps back in. he just sort of finds himself holding that random human kid, and for some reason he just keeps hugging her. he's not sure why, he just feels like he has to...

idk what the exact set-up the devs were going for with the time jump, so i'll leave that to the theorists for now, but we could say that in the jtta version, ik needs to re-forge her pacts to be able to give out a strong enough magical signal across time for barbatos to get her back home

#nightbringer spoilers #there's a bit in one of the lessons where barbatos looks So pissed at solomon over something i can't remember #and then he teleports him into the aether and immediately looks so much happier it's so funny #though i'd like to know how this is affecting the present in a time paradox sense? solomon mentioned it but like #pretty sure mc being there at all and doing all of this bonding already makes it a hell of a paradox #also you just made your pact with asmo way earlier than you were meant to dude #i wonder how many of these events actually occurred in the og past (without mc) and how many come about directly because of mc's presence #i imagine some of them still happened but just didn't resolve the same way #answering asks #anon asks #ik gets nightbrought
