I think itd be cool if like. Danny didnt want to risk becoming corrupt so he and dani share the responsibility. He doesnt really want to be "king" of the ghosts/percieved that way so he takes the ring (subtle, helpful when dealing with Unruly Visitors to the Human Realm) and dani takes the crown (with her whole traveling gig having to like. Travel the realms for diplomacy and such fits her i think!)

Admittedly. Most of my idea isnt rlly dp x dc so! Expansion.

Phantom works with the league/batman/whatever cool group you wanna put him with sometimes (not consistently. They might have some actual communication if they worked together consistently) and unbeknowst to him the league/whoever hears that the leadership of the zone had changed and decides to reach out and try to get like. Idk a treaty/confirming they arent pure evil/analyzing them somehow.

They are not expecting the ghost queen to be so small. Or feral. I bet shed ask for autographs just to see if what they do.

(Or not, depending on how eldrich she is. I like to think she gets a cool queenly outfit change thats like. Rlly long flowy robes fit for royalty <3)

Little bone fragment tips is just an incredible concept. Oh and fun fact: teeth aren’t actually bones. They ARE part of the skeleton but they aren’t bones. I will accept your offering tho because teeth are very neat :3

Dani traveling around realms for diplomatic reasons (also bc she wants to explore) is SUCH a good idea. Danny is slightly more of a ghost representative while Dani is more living folk just because of how well traveled and traversed she is.

I greatly think that Dani holds lots of Not A Deer qualities but acts still like an excited kid. Like she sets off every single fight or flight instinct in the League and yet she never actually DOES anything to illicit that response. She just a (somewhat) patient and understandable and extremely knowledgeable leader.

Dani wears long flowing robes that are very reminiscent to a bedsheet ghost but somehow it looks incredibly elegant and awe inspiring. (I also only imagine her in my head as like no higher than 4’5 so ye. She teeny)

im not including chevrons/angle brackets, <> because i dont think anyone calls them chevrons, and a lot of people also call them "less than or greater than" symbols.

also we should totally call them chevrons. You there, Tumblr user. you now have to call "<>" left chevron and right chevron respectively. do this for me. anyway answer the poll.

i guess they could also be called "Single Guillemets" but i feel like thats the name of a specific type of chevron and not the actual symbol name.

Actually now that im thinking about it like. what the hell is a chevron supposed to be used for. like. yeah. HTML. didnt exist before computers. so i guess they would be Guillemets? but in english, what were they used for. im googling that now.

Up to op manga 1094 and this isn't really a big grandiose thing just a single thought that doesn't really go anywhere yet. Partially bc anything to do w specific phraseology is tough when the text in question has been translated from another language. Also wanted to note that bc this may have already been answered in canon, im not caught up.

Anyways vegapunk being called "the stella" (which means star) and his 6 other hims which are called "satellites" (which is a term to refer to any object which orbits another object, much like how planets are satellites of a star, such as how Mercury Venus Mars Jupiter and Saturn amongst others are satellites of our star, the sun) makes me think that this might be potentially reflected in how Saints Mercury Venus Mars Jupiter and Saturn may be in some way orbiting Imu, who in their own way may be a star or an analogue to one. Or...* Also worth noting that they are shadowy in that weird form they attacked Cobra in, and Imu is like fully darkness. And somehow feeling like that whole "luffy is the sun and his main rival is blackbeard who is the personification of darkness" thing might be somehow reflected by this dichotomy as well.

Are there any even theoretical ideas it may be possible for a planet to be in stable orbit around a black hole, or is it just a slow decaying orbit until eventually it falls over the event horizon? The center of our galaxy supposedly houses at least one black hole in some sort of mutual orbit with a star or two.

It also kinda starts leading me back yet again to some amount of ideas about the op world being our world. Like in 400+ years when technology has advanced, the world ends, the blank century begins, and roughly 800 years later our protagonists are born. I've been meaning to try to superimpose a map of our world over that one and see if the hometowns of the people whose analogous regional origins we know match up (if luffy would be from Brazil in our world, where is the Goa kingdom wrt where Brazil would be? Triangulated with any possible others - I will say, Zoro was originally from Wano whose continent may have been literally pulled out of its original location(s) by Oars and then his people emigrated to Shimotsuki village so that's no help, we don't know where Nami was born really, and Sanji was literally born in a kingdom without any land, only ships. Although again !! If global apocalypse happens in the water world flavor, I would not put it past France to move onto boats to survive their land sinking, and then become a hellish oppressive force which refuses to relinquish its claim to royalty. Who knows

I'm not even closing that parenthesis that's how unformed these thoughts are.

*fuckin footnote here that black holes are what happens POST being a star. So like if Imu has any relevance to the idea of being a black hole with satellite planets, there's not NO chance they were once Joyboy or also a sun based thing that got corrupted by age and began to detonate and destroy. Idk! As always, only posting this to look back and either laugh at or congratulate myself later so 🤷 this is meaningless

4. Scared.

Reuben doesn't get scared. Reuben gets angy!

No, in truth. Goodness. Reuben is a jigsaw of various bits of anger and frustration and self-hatred patched worked together by caution, paranoia, and more frustration.

Thus, it doesn't seem as if he has room for anything else. In public he definitely gives into that vibe. He's so cautious and distrustful, he'll either lash out (depending on who it is) or clam up. And clam up not in the sense that he shuts down but, it's like his mind starts ticking in overdrive, his eyes start darting around but he, himself, is rigid.

When he's by himself he probably rage cries. Privacy gives way to vulnerability. So emotions - like fear or being scared - that he might / just naturally turn corrosive or be locked away can sorta sink out. (It's ... not as healthy as it sounds, though.)

8. Feeling Pretty.

Stop! You know he dresses like some bland ass skater boi. ~nondescript preppy~ (what does that even MEAN, malin??)

I think he might get himself a good haircut. A good shave or trim. He doesn't indulge in a lot but his hair is strangely always nice. So. he might actually let himself get clean shaven. Show that pretty face off. In a RARE moment where he apparently got smacked upside the head too hard and wants to be all ~hey~ (or he finds himself feeling foolish about wei chen, idk) He might also let himself get a colored polo. LMAO. A knock off crocodile that's like a dark pink ... instead of black. (OMGOODNESS NOW IM SITTING HERE PONDERING AN AU WHERE THIS BITCH LETS HIMSELF COURT WEI. AND IM CRYING AWSEDR WHY.)

10. Betrayed.

You betray Emile? You HURT Emile? You disregard Emile's feelings like they are garbage? JAIL! JAIL FOR YOU FOR ONE BILLION YEARS!!

Okay, Emile isn't THAT dramatic. That'd be Kendis. But it really depends on who and how. I think Emile is very cut you out of their lives sort. And with a sort of relish, a sort of 'this is what you did and you will be ripped out my life and i will patchwork myself back together, see if i won't'. It's very clear eyed but not necessarily cold, but self-protective. I think about their approach to Kol. There was a desire to make him hurt, and there was a consideration of sabotaging the recovery process, but they didn't so they just sort of didn't want hands on involvement. When they found out they had magic, they were very hands off with their parents -- but it was like, I'm going to tell you why and that you hurt me, but goodbye.

There is a desire to make you emotionally suffer mixed with showing that they can move on from you (which is its own suffering). Again, depending on what and who it is, forgiveness is difficult if near impossible. I don't know that they will forgive Kol, but then they weren't very close. However, I do think with time they can forgive their parents.

14. Calm.

Emile is always calm. JK. I mean -- of the four it's 1. Nicola 2. Emile 3. Irvin 4. Kendis. (and I'm pretty sure santiy-wise Emile would beat Cola.)

Emile is -- I don't want to say unbothered. But Emile is precise. And that requires not just a clarity of vision but a coolness of head. There is a certain aplomb for their age but also they want to seem on top of things. There is too much going on in their lives to be anything but (at least, that is their approach.) Let's just say -- no matter what they think, their mom (adopted mom) definitely is an influence, no matter how indirectly.

Like, yes they can be bitchy and mean. But in general Emile tends to be calm, I feel. They are mindful to relax when they need to and keep themselves on the level.

THE WALTEN FILES: my jumbled notes on my blind run-in with this web series

first off this is gonna be long and unorganized, also this is my second time writing this as i had lost literally half of my progress and im This (imagine two fingers almost touching with a 0.0000000001mm distance between them) close to ripping all of the fucking hair out of my goddamn head. but now this will be extra long and yes, i will lose some accuracy to my first writing but thats okay ill probably edit this a kajillion times over

which brings me to my next tangent; im literally braindumping here. so to have a smidge of organization all afterthoughts, edits and corrections will be boldened, i forgot what im gonna do with italicized text but ill probably bolden it here yeah im pretty sure its for side tangents, separate from Corrections, which are in bold. also theyre for emphasis too.

so in general, this post right here is all of my notes i wrote down on my grid-patterned sticky notes (which i used WAYYYY too much of) about the first 3 uploaded walten files youtube videos transferred onto my handy dandy digital notebook, this b(l)og. yeppers peppers. you know im serious about this shit when i typed probably over like a thousand fucking words including boldened shit, italicized shit and motherfucking links, lost it ALL, and im sitting here re-typing it again.

i feel bad about this but im not gonna trigger warn right here, but this is technically a warning. if you want a list of triggers as to what this post (and the walten files in general) i will link a little list to that here

THE WALTEN FILES - VIDEO #1

clarifying this now, im gonna put some useless shit which i thought was code onto this because even though it was useless it was part of my notes and im physically going to combust if i dont put down every single thing i wrote on my papers. so what i thought was code was in the closed captions, i started writing it down when i got to the second video but came back to my first videos notes to include them. i wrote down the first letter to every word that was capitalized in the closed captions, which i had on as a default because number one i knew going into this id need them because most web horror things like args and cryptic shit like that has some of the most crucial shits in the closed captions. number two i am autistic and have auditory processing issues and have most closed captioning on as a default if theyre available.

the numbers in parenthesis are there because i wasnt sure they should be included in the “code” or not. i also thought of this with the BSI - bunny smiles incorporated and also the years 1978 and 1979. the shits in asterisks are coughs and light coughs, which were capitalized in the closed captions so i included them too just in case

i then jotted, in parenthesis of course, the names of the animatronics when they were listed in the animation section of the video; bon aka the blue bunny, sha aka the sheep one, boozoo aka the clown<3 honk<33, and banny aka the purpled eyelashed up one who is also a bunny btw. also i got boozoo the clown and boozoo the mustache guy confused because apparently the clowns name is billy???? but they named “boozoo” in bons sleepover and showed the clown? idk maybe im an idiot and theyre the same or just an idiot and theyre different or a super mega (matt and ryan?!?!??) idiot in general which is probably the case

i started drawing little stars to write down things i thought would be super important or to 100% look at again. the first subject of this pointy torture was the part of the video where at 3:00, i marked it down to make sure to reverse the audio as it was most definitely a weird audio that has that signature warp-y effect that makes sure you KNOW its in reverse. i then listened back to it Very carefully (still got it wrong) and got this: “you finally start to remember. that old doll. they will look out for you soon” im also pretty sure i heard “sophie” at the end of that audio but im not entirely sure and dont remember and i dont wanna go back to check lmfao but anyways it didnt matter because i was wrong anyway. after i had finished all 3 walten files i watched the film theory video on the walten files (which didnt cover all 3 but was dece.) out of curiosity and to hear matpats signature silly little voice explain some stuff i already knew, and click some shit in my brain that i couldve thought up of if i was a bit more... i dont know honestly. anyways yeah so the actual audio is “you finally start to remember. that old day. they will look out for you soon.” so yeah. day, not doll.

i then wrote down “sarah evelyn”, the name on the bons sleepover animation (i dont remember if she created it or animated it or whatnot) and scribbled will she matter? under her name. turns out no, as i didnt see her name in the rest of the series, let alone the first video. this is also a great time to mention how matpat theory helped me realize that the walten files are collections of videos, uploaded onto youtube by anthony. (i already knew about anthony as he signed his name in the descriptions of the youtube videos, making me categorize this overall web series more into an arg type genre.) but yes, the tapes, recorded “irl” footage, animated clips, vhs tape recordings and other audio-visual content is all collected and labeled the walten files, as i had mistaken each video to be a tape. stupid me. alrighty, onward!

i starred this one, good for me; MISSING: Jack Walten LAST SEEN: 06/11/1974

i jotted down with an arrow that; sophie was a nightguard? she was wearing the uniform explained in tape 2 i dont know why but i went back into my video 1 notes after i had watched video 2. organization purposes. i guess.??

i then paused the video when the screen flickered a date, the beginning of video footage dated 10/10/1982 (Brian Stells?) god my little genius ass assuming the videographer was brian stells, based on the id card i saw earlier.

i then wrote down what text i saw on the dead, mangled, bloody body in the purple security suit; “i cant feel anything” “he thought i was her” then drew a little arrow pointing to; thought brian was sophie? or ashley? i also starred the name Brian Stells this is totally out of order LMFAOOOOOOOO also i wrote down ashley because, again, my little pea brain went back on my video 1 notes after watching video 2. but yep thats all i wrote for The Walten Files 1 - Company Introductory Tape

this pack of notes is chunkier because again, like i have mentioned before i am an absolute goober and thought the capitalized letters of the words would actually mean something. I MEAN MAYBE THEY DO AND IM JUST DOING IT WRONG but i stopped doing it after this video because holy shit it was exhausting and my stupid little fingers couldnt take the writing anymore becasue i am WEAK.

so write off the bat (squeak) i wrote down 197[] the blacked out rectangle over the last digit of that year and everything im also now assuming its probably 1978 or 1974 because lore reasons but whos to say but yeah i also wrote down this;

Last seen: 1974 i was very unsure of the spelling of her last name because the image was so goddamn low quality and grainy but its what i saw. this is where tape #3 gets thrown in, which im gonna type again because i like how the formatting looks;

- Reverse at 8:16 which i did but of course didnt write down what i heard. i think it was too warbled to hear anything clear out of it, or it was just the good ol auditory processing issues fucking me over yet again. WAIT yep yes i did here it is: “rosemary would go to the restaurant every night hoping that [her] beloved husband would reappear after being missing for weeks but no response until one day [s]he heard a voice [saying] ‘i know where he is rosie’ coming from the back stage” the bracketed stuff is the corrections, i misheard the audio and thought the audio said “his”, “he” and “singing” like a nimrod

- Brighten at 10:14 which was another missing person poster, but i dont think it had any information on it because i didnt write it down, just;

- Sophie again (pic at 9:08?) (dismemberd and put in Sha) i was stupid and wrong haha idiot it was rosemary who was put in sha but anywho

i starred and underlined a huge thing i discovered which was;

- Hilary B, Ashley P & Kevin W i made sure to get these names down as soon as i saw them on screen but then realized shortly after i wouldnt really need to have it as the closed captions made sure i knew which person was talking by using their first initial (capitalized of course) before each line of text. this is the perfect time to announce the arrival of the clusterfuck of capital letters, which is going to include colons which will indicate that the letter before it is the initial of the person talking. without further aedue, here comes another chinese earthquake;

Read Darkness Within all in one sitting last night and then passed out so here are my scattered thoughts i wrote down as i read, (afterthoughts in parenthesis)

Sorry, Hawkwhing and Plumwillow’s short-lived friendship in Hawkwings Journey was one of the last times I felt something)

Bristlefrost’s crush continues to feel unnatural to me. It’s like she’s grasping at straws romanticizing the most generic things.....wow....I love how ur just so...bare minimum competent....being polite to the loner we came all this way to ask for help like any somewhat reasonable person would....How admirable...I love the way you just *clenches fist* exhibit some basic traits of loyalty and skill that literally every warrior has (I s2g I’m this close to head canon-ing Bristle as a clueless aromantic who doesn't understand what romance is actually suppose to feel like so she just looks at feelings of low-bar admiration and assumes “oh I guess this is that “romantic attraction” everyone’s always talking about? guess I must be in love???” because both her crushes have felt out of nowhere and like. Idk fake/forced sounding like she’s just telling me that that she’s In Love Now while I continue to not actually feel it at all from her end. I know it’s just that I hate the way Erin’s write female characters in love but this head-canon makes me laugh)

Got scared because I thought they were going to villainize Spotfur for not wanting kits for a minute, but also excited at the concept of maybe exploring a female character that doesn’t want to be a mother, but it turns out she was just pulling a Sparkpelt and actually DID want the kits all along and was only hesitant because she’s sad. Shrug oh well. (the only female character in warriors that was distinctly upset about pregnancy and motherhood was Lizardstripe and as we all know she was eeeeeevil and abusive and “overly ambitious” because why else would you not come around to being happy about motherhood?? YES I’M STILL SALTY ABOUT YELLOWFANG’S SECRET, BAD BOOK) Whatever it’s fine so long as Spot doesn’t lose her rebel leader spirit forever and default to “soft mom” personality for the rest of her life, I gotta have hope because I actually like Bristle and Spot’s current relationship. Also I am actually very grateful they never made Bristle resentful at Spot for getting with her crush, as lots of middle grade/YA media has a very bad habit of demonizing female romantic “competition” and its super gross, so I rly do like that Bristlefrost is so protective and caring towards her instead. )

This series is trying to tell me that Rootspring is actually Big but I refuse to accept that. he has dumb scrawny bitch energy and we all know it

Sunrise: “Thunderclan may be better with a new leader” lol go off (i mean........they right tho...It’s unfortunate that the tension in this whole plot is a bit dampened by the fact that i DO in fact want bramble to die v badly. I don’t even have special hatred for him, I’m just bored of him.)

But it’s fine, she just....went to super hell instead......Warriors has come so far lmao WHAT IS HAPPENING

Final Notes:

*On Mothwing, I don’t think her behavior struck me as “CHARACTER BUTCHERING” as much as it did for other people? I mean.....Warriors fans will say that literally any time a character does ANYTHING less then perfectly nice I think her actions just seemed that much harsher because we are reading from Shadowsight’s POV, and Shadowsight is taking everything 10x more personally right now (understandably so, but Mothwing isn’t inside his head) she wasn’t trying to hurt him. Also... like... Shadowsight DID get his name too early. It’s not Mothwing’s job to put his feelings above everything else, she’s not even his mentor, Puddleshine on the other hand, as his main mentor, I don’t understand what his deal is ignoring Shadowsight, that’s not how you help an apprentice but I suppose I chalk many of his mistakes up to also not being the most experienced medicine cat (he barely even had his own mentor.) Maybe he’s distant because he feels guilty and actually blames himself for not guiding Shadowsight better?? the two of them haven’t communicated about it yet so idk

any way I give Mothwing a pass to be a little short tempered right now as a cat who has had her abilities periodically questioned all her life no matter how hard she works or how much experience she has, just because she doesn’t vibe with the spiritual cult side of the clans, I can understand why she’s a bit defensive of being questioned and frustrated watching so much hurt happen Yet Again due to reliance on StarClan visions over common sense, and I for one still stan her for slandering StarClan and refusing to accept Mistystar’s bullshit banishing like everyone else. Sometimes a character is at the end of their rope and can’t manage to be 100% nice 24/7 and that’s maybe not inherently bad writing? idk just my hot take. At a certain point we all gotta reckon with the fact that our perception of most popular supporting characters in heavily colored by fanon and we can’t always get mad at the authors for not adhering to it

*The sisters magic shit is my fav worldbuilding warriors has had in AGES, I love the way it’s described and it actually feels like it adds something to this world. I love this horror imagery with the ghosts, very excited for that.

*still won’t be thrilled if Ashfur is working alone, because his motive doesn’t make sense right now. I mean the trying to get Squilf thing, sure, whatever, but the “I will make everyone pay for what they did to me”???? cause like?? Who??? they didn’t do anything to him?? Ashfur’s grievance was very specifically JUST Squilf. He has no other cause for revenge, he had no other beef or complaints about the clans to my knowledge? The cat that killed him is dead, and she’s like, the only other one that I could see as having “wronged” him?? I guess he also didn’t like Firestar much according to Graystripe’s Vow (and on account of how willing he was to kill him w/ Hawkfrost) but Firestar is ALSO dead. I don’t understand his angle. Will have to see last 2 books to judge i suppose.

*All in all I am interested to see where this is going!! but also the pacing as I feared is becoming a major issue. It’s better then ending the main conflict on book 3 like Vision of Shadows did, but omg. Hardly anything happened in all these pages. I realized I was over half way through and nothing about the situation had actually CHANGED or advanced at all in all that time. Similar to the past 2 books which I believe could have been combined, this plot felt like it should have been the first half of a book. Discussing whether or not to kill the imposter isn’t much of a standalone plot, it’s just the set up to a plot. Finding the sisters didn’t need to be a whole long thing, the debates about the Imposters fate didn’t need to be repeated 10 times, all those chapters illustrating that “Shadowsight is sad” were also drawn out, repetitive, and interchangeable, we probably only needed 2 or so chapters showing his struggles to get the necessary information across. It felt like a lot of padding, it was really slow and I did a lot of skimming. I am still very interested in the overarching plot and mystery behind the ghosts so that kept me reading but man this “will they won’t they kill him” plot did not justify it’s own whole book. Alas this is a persisting issue that will never be resolved while they continue to force 6 books into 1 series that doesn’t need 6 books. I’m sure the writers are doing the best they can with these unfortunate constraints but still, it’s a wonder this slow padding isn’t more of a detriment to their younger readers that the books are supposed to be marketed to.

Hahah yes point taken. The UK vs US versions doesn't really provide much insight here. The Skams really do occupy a unique space and it does seem very difficult to pinpoint why the fandom is dying. Maybe it's just the genre that is dying? (Ftr im with you! I also preferred the UK version QaF as well as the office, but the US version of shameless was better when it was on top of its game)

Hi again! 🎪 I think when it comes down to it, the other anon (or was it you?) was right, the first 4 storylines were the closest thing the Skams had to an essence or a unifying component. And now that all the remakes have either done the first 4 storylines, or been cancelled before they could get there, it feels like the universe is "over" kind of? Whereas if the remakes had kept more elements from Skam, like again the clip transitions, "realistic idealistic" tone (as opposed to "realist grimdark"), longer clips, soundtrack, etc. then perhaps it would feel like there's more of a continuum between versions. I think in general it's hard to pull the same essence when the show is in different languages though, like language + culture really can't be overstated as a unifying element.

(Example: Just today, @florawelch mentioned how people will compare CMBYN with Luca, which is like....... Animation film for kids vs peach intercourse, but ok. And it's like the way people will compare YR to Skam, like language and culture has a lot to do with the comparisons. And Luca and CMBYN have in common that they both take place in Italy but the cast is from the US/speaks English.)

I also feel like people didn't give enough of a chance to the NRK shows that followed Skam. But tbf, some of them are less accessible because they were never properly subbed. So idk whether the format is dying (I think Norway will still experiment with it), or that the format itself wasn't really what took off (the real time clip format), but rather Isak's storyline. (This is parenthesis abuse at this point, but I'm of course not dismissing those who got into the show for reasons other than Isak, like Noorhelm and Sana stans.) Unless you meant something different by "genre" though!

It remains to be seen whether one of the unofficial "remakes", for lack of a better word, will take off. If we agree that the first 4 storylines are Skam's essence, then it should follow that people will watch those remakes (possibly only if they get to Isak's season though). I did watch some Reflejos clips (the Argentinian fan remake) and didn't really get the appeal. I haven't even tried Drop because I'm just so tired of dudes taking Skam and grimdarking it. But it appears that both of them have managed to capture some stans, so there's that.

3. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works?

I don’t know, honestly. I take inspiration from a select few works I’ve seen, so my style is like... idk how to describe it. A thought process, maybe. Theres a lot of breaks, and drifting off, and sentences in parenthesis, and getting off track lmao. (I think thats also why I like writing panic scenes so much, because I get a chance to display that style fully)

8. Which character(s) do you find easiest to write?

I quite honestly haven’t written a ton of characters yet. The first fic I started writing was a reincarnation AU so it was mainly just Merlin, Arthur, and a few original characters. I’ve just recently started a canon timeline fic (from Arthur’s POV), so that should be fun. I definitely have more experience writing Merlin. Arthur’s a bitch to write for me lmao, especially in a post finale AU. So I’d have to go with Merlin.

12. Tell us about a WIP you’re excited about.

Ooo! ok, I was actually hoping someone would ask this. I have a few, and out of the ones I haven’t posted yet, I’ve only started fleshing out maybe two. I have a lot of prompts tho. the WIP I’m further along in is called Playing King, and its (im sorry this is so cliché) a Bodyswap AU. how it started was I was on pintrest, and I found a bunch of old “I hope the season five of Merlin has...” kind of posts, and I found one saying they wanted a bodyswap between Arthur and Merlin, and a fic idea was born! I’m also going to be incorporating Welsh mythology in it, so I’m excited for that!

21. Favorite pairing to write for? (platonic or romantic!)

Shit! Ok! for romantic pairings, I’ve only ever written Merthur, (aside from that one Morgwen modern AU oneshot for Merlin bingo, that was fun) since its the pairing thats kind of my comfort zone. However, I do think Merthur is much more difficult to write than I originally thought it was going to be. I either have to change aspects of their character to make the prompt and the relationship fit, or stick through SO MUCH character growth. (plus I’ve mentioned I’m shit at relationships, so I think my multi-chapter fics should just be gen from now on lmfao) so i wouldn't say they’d be my favorite pairing to write for. I do have some Arwen fics in mind, but I haven’t tried writting for them yet, so Idk. I’m going to have to say my favorite pairing to write for is Morgwen since they’re such wonderful women, and not a lot, if anything, about them needs to change for them to be a good romantic pairing. (assuming we’re working with good S1 type Morgana)

As a friendship, again, I haven’t written a lot, but I think I would enjoy Merlin & Gwen’s friendship, as well as the Knights’ interactions :))

I remember reading a fic, it was bottom Alec admittedly, but one of the things that stuck with me was how it mentioned that he didn't bottom often because it was overwhelming. Which then got me thinking about autistic Alec and sensory overload and maybe that's a thing you'd find interesting and put your own spin on? I don't know.

anyway! i did like this question a lot and i tried to think a little about how autism and kink might intersect for alec specifically

tbh idk if i can give a good take on that because- im a bottom, so jdndudbdidnd. i mean of course I've topped but i think it's fundamentally different to top when thats something that you actually enjoy. like not that i dread topping and just the thought of it makes me cry or something but the pleasure i derive from it is...... way less. and more focused on the other parts of it that arent the act of topping itself

so due to that, i dont really know how topping, like, feels? if it's something that actively gets u hot and that u find enjoyable. so idk if bottoming is truly more overwhelming than topping, like. one of my partners is a Top™ and i think he gets as lost in topping as i get in bottoming, its exciting for him, just thinking about it Does Things to him you know xD and admittedly this partner in particular is a very intense person, with everything, but either way he does seem to feel topping and sex as a top and the pleasure he gets from that very intensely, so idk if it would be accurate to say that bottoming is more overwhelming. i think it depends on a lot of things, including the kind of play ur into - like if ur into denial or overstimulation and the such, definitely, but u dont necessarily are into them just because ur a bottom or even a sub (which, u know, are different things)

and my partners who are verses/switches say that it's different but not really more or less intense. just different

but definitely as a dom you get more control of the sensations, at least touch-wise (not much you can really do about noise, smell etc) so there's that. i also think that for autistic ppl theres frequently that feeling of not having a lot of control over ur life and how ur perceived, understood, etc, so domming can get particularly interesting/pleasurable in that sense. on the other hand, there's also the relief of subbing and getting clear instructions and just completely focusing on the tasks u have. or maybe that's my sub agenda. idk

either way i think being autistic wouldnt really sway anyone in either direction (being kinky or not, top or bottom, sub or dom, being into specific kinks etc) but im not an expert, maybe im wrong lol

but well, if you wanna talk specifically about autistic alec who also happens to be a dom/top and how he experiences that, a few things i think could be interesting:

domspace and hyperfocus: like because everything is so intense, the two can feel kind of similar? you know you get into domspace and it’s like, everything is so centered in the moment, but in like the best way possible? i imagine that for him reaching domspace is kind of even more intense than usual (not in a like... Lost In The Sauce way, where he can’t be aware properly, but it’s just, it’s extra good and it makes him feel grounded and present and like the noise in his head shuts up? he’s just focused on pleasuring his sub everything else kind of melts away and it’s basically just that. great intense pleasure and almost calm feeling, you know? i mean again i’m not a dom but. it’s what i imagine/have heard it feels like i guess)

sensorial issues: adjacent to last one i guess but just like reaching domspace and domming and the pleasure he derives from it kind of muffles the sensorial issues? again because he’s so focused and like, immersed in the feeling it all kind of disappears. also i mean, sex includes a lot of movement so yay to that! especially as i dom i think, if bondage for example is involved. and even if there’s like, a lot of touch and noise and stuff (again, magnus Screams) he kinda has control (again, especially as a dom) of how much stimuli there is and he gets and the fact that he derives pleasure from the noises, touches, etc kind of helps muffle them, if that makes sense? because the inside feelings overpower the outside feelings lmao and it’s like that sensation of floating and domspace and shit makes the actual physical sensations less acute sometimes. at least as a sub i do feel that way sometimes, like the pleasure gets so psychological and great i can’t really feel sensations, just the pleasure itself? so it’s like, id have to focus to be able to tell where exactly my partner is touching me, all i know is that it Feels Very Good. idk if that makes sense, it’s hard to put in words

feeling in control: i mean i feel like alec feels like he doesn’t have a lot of control over his life (look i know that he’s now in a position of power but even then, like, he’s always having to fight the people above them, you know? and he’s questioned at every damn minute because of his relationship. and for most of his life, he was trained to be a pawn, to the clave and to his parents, and hell, he couldn’t even control who he would marry. most of the time alec is fighting tooth and nail to be listened to, he doesn’t really get easy obedience and i definitely don’t think that he feels like he has a lot of control most of the time, which is why being a dom appeals to him, too. don’t get me wrong i’m not saying he isn’t damn competent and important because if he weren’t he wouldn’t have gotten where he is right now, but he’s not really in a position where everything is in his hands. especially with how much he has to endure and swallow up in his life. i see a lot of meta that’s like “alec’s a sub because he needs to let go of the control” and stuff, and while again, to each their own, i feel like this argument doesn’t really hold up when you look at how much he has to fight to be listened to, and that’s why it’s very appealing to have someone just, obey, and feel like the world is in the palm of his hands, not slipping away? that’s a very long parenthesis. and like not that you need to have a Very Deep Psychological Reason to be into kink but usually those things are linked in some sort of way). and the fact that he’s autistic plays into this, because so much of what he feels just has to be overlooked? he’s always having so suppress and/or deal with overload and the frustration of having to follow a bunch of random social rules and expectations and speak a thousand different languages into one (like body language, facial expressions, etc) and it’s like he always has to be grabbing everything by the seams. plus, obviously, he likes routine and method and predictability. so being a dom, being in control of what happens, being obeyed, knowing exactly what will happen during the scene, having the time to plan it and flesh it out, it just feels particularly good and grounding for him?

and like again im not saying that “wow autistic people are doms” or anything, just talking about how these things might intersect in his personal experience, considering his desires and the specifics of his life, his autism and etc

idk i feel like this answer wasn’t very coherent, or interesting, or good, but it’s what i have to offer fuahfiah thank you for this question tho, it was really nice for me to think about

hey sis! I saw one of your posts floating around on the internet and immediately got drawn to you and your energy lol. I personally don’t live in an area with older witchs, or people who are particularly open to that sort of thing, so I figured I would come to you for some quick advice if youre down? I’m not new to spirituality, I was raised Christian, stopped practicing really young, but ive ALWAYS been drawn to witchcraft, and specifically hellenistic polytheism! -cont🍇-

cont🍇- I was always particularly drawn to Dionysus, I’ve always been into to theatre and performance, (I plan on majoring in Theatre and devoting my life to it when the time comes) and I scrolled thru your blog for a Good While and couldn’t find any Tea™️ so I figured I’d send an ask lol I can’t find any reputable (?) info anywhere, about connecting specif. w/ and honoring Dionysus and was wondering if you had any advice? sorry if this sounds Big Dumb™️ but im such a newbie idk how to word it

I’m sorry for being so slow on answering you, I just moved and paperwork is still popping out of nowhere so please excuse my slow replies!

Thank you for being drawn to my energy and I will do my best to give you advice but please remember that it's only advice and how you deal with your craft is all up to you. Gentle reminder that no witch has the final say on what you do with the deities you work with, this is between you and them. No question is dumb especially if you are just starting out and are researching as much as you can which I think is awesome.

Dionysus is perfect for a theater major since theater is within his domain. He is a lot more than the “Party god” image people try to put on him.

Even though I myself don’t work with Dionysus, I often bump into people that have heavy Dionysus energy. He used to hang out with me and Aphrodite when I still lived in California a few years back, and he’s very laid back which is nice for someone who is just starting out because if you make “a mistake” he is good about assuming its part of the ritual like improvising on stage when you forget your lines. (I put parenthesis here because it's all relative to what you expect versus what you do, you don’t have to follow a ritual you find online and Dionysus might prefer you add your own spin to it.)

I highly suggest researching as much as you can about Dionysus first via Theoi.com. There is also a cute video about him on YouTube that I really like.

After doing your research I recommend looking up people who work with Dionysus on Tumblr, YouTube, etc. to get ideas on how he works or inspiration on setting up your own spells and rituals with him in mind.

Researching as much information of him and THEN seeing how other people work with him, will help you see if their methods work for you and him or if they don't.

The reason why I’m saying this is because everyone’s craft is different and your relationship with Dionysus will be unique. For example, me and my wife both work with Hermes and Apollo, and when we talk about them, it feels like we are talking about completely different gods because no two people are the same and how you treat people will change depending on who you are talking to. Likewise, the gods adjust themselves to our own experiences.

No two witches will have the same experience even when they do the exact same thing with the exact same god.
