- one thing about pieck is that shes very touchy

- one way or another she will end up cuddled with you on the couch

- but finally, as if the gods gave you mercy, she finally kissed you

- it felt so nice, her lips were soft and sticky from her lip gloss and she tasted like the swedish berries you had gotten for her to munch on

- and the rest of the movie you two just sat there, kissing each other and giggling like teens

- she ended up staying the night, and complimented your bedsheets

- your relationship moved pretty fast after that

- she had already told all of her friends about you, they werent very surprised

- when you got officially introduced her friends zeke and porco tried to do that whole "if you hurt her.." speech before she slapped them and had marcel pull you away to safety

- other than that the night was very fun, you got to talking about your career, why you moved to the city, and other mundane topics

- pieck is actually a graphic designer, and everytime she comes to sleep over she just HAS to bring her laptop with her

- its basically just her laying in between your legs while she types away, youll pet her hair and lay soft kisses on her neck, and occasionally ask what shes doing

- she likes to tell you, has no problem in answering the questions you have, even if you think theyre stupid ones, shes very soft with you

- also a bit of a trickster

- for your first april fools together she slept over, you didnt have anything planned for her bc youre a good person and wont hurt the ones you love

- she stuffed your breakfast muffin with mustard 😁👍

- you gave her the cold shoulder for the rest of the day until she apologized by getting you a new muffin

- now she always dropped the l bomb to you, but she never needed you to say it

- thats why, when you were helping her cook dinner at her place you softly said "see ? and thats why i love you" she kind of,,, stopped what she was doing

- you realized why she wasnt washing the knife she used to cut your vegetables and tried to backtrack, but it was too late, she was already tackling you into a hug and taking you down onto the floor

- she just gave you kisses while repeating "i love you i love you i love you" over and over again

- bc of her you burnt ur fucking chicken smh

- you spent that night eating junk food and watching movies

- piecks a very observant person, so she always knows when youre sad too

- when you give that little huff when you come home to your (new !) shared apartment she knows something is up

- she'll slowly trail behind you as you walk to your bedroom, stripping to your underwear and changing into your pajamas

- you crawl into bed just wanting a nap to forget about the day, and she'll crawl in with you and hold you

- you never like to cry but youre so frustrated and upset at your coworkers, at that rude customer, at those deadlines, that you just breakdown

- and she lets you, she lets you almost suffocate yourself in her chest with how much your pushing your head into it, she strokes your hair while you choke on your own cries and hands you tissues when you need to blow your nose

- "what do you need my love ?" "i just need you" "okay baby"

- communication is a big thing in the relationship, and because shes been so open and honest from the beginning, talking about how you feel has never been easier

- in fact, you like talking about how you feel about your relationship, or how you didnt like what pieck said to your friends the other day, this and that, you feel comfortable and safe with pieck no matter what, which makes talking about even the most hardest things seem so simple and natural

- all in all, even when she wakes you up with spontaneous ice cream dates or asks that you put raisins in the popcorn during movie night, even with the fights and the crying and the exhaustion the next day, life would be much duller without her, and you only have to thank your clumsy self

happy sleepover saturday! im still in the dnd zone™️ (haven is fostering a dog sized spider named amber as insurance for a map our group is getting restored and the reviews are mixed from the rest of the crew shdjdhshds) so any fun dnd updates/dnd related things you wanna talk about?

oh big mood on the like. lingering dnd post-session vibes also as someone who loves bugs i LOVE everything about amber and haven's whole deal. smh at the haters alsdkfj

the last 2 sessions i've played have been pretty much all combat, for celestine secrets + for the ending half of lanterns in the forest twoshot! kima's been blasting everyone with temp HP from their flamethrower (turns out giving temp HP without a spell slot every bonus action is like. really good) and playing support is really fun? we spent a solid chunk of that session playing chicken with octopuses and finding??? bodies of sailors mummified by the cold ocean water???

and the lanterns party fought the trickster of terrible radiance, a trickster god trapped in the corrupted form of a giant great blue heron that had swallowed the sun, so it was all tattered and twisted and was at the heart of a dark forest, blasting us with blinding light pouring out of its face. it was EXTREMELY cinematic, the ranger summoned a bear guardian and the rogue got a very cool shot with a midnight-tipped rapier + sneak attack (and then a killing "sparing" blow alskdfj)

tl;dr combat that's cinematic and high-stakes (at all levels!) and compelling is still something that i'm a little out of my depth at but that's SO fun to play holy cow!

What does nostos mean? What language is it in? 🤔 also I of course loved it, mind blown as usual queen

it’s ancient greek! it means homecoming, the idea of a triumphant return home for the hero after a long journey. i found it through looking at the root of nostalgia. in this fic of course it’s kind of a grim tongue in cheek play on it. the reader’s coming back to the mountains, but she’s running away after a bad breakup, and the welcome she gets is... shall we say less than ideal haha

ty nonnie!! i didn’t have the right space for it, but after kohsuke was ripped apart and eaten kuroo stayed by the reader’s side until late in the night, only disappearing when he heard the reader’s parents/search party approaching. they found her lying in pools of blood (and scattered half eaten body parts), shaking and unresponsive – they knew no animal could’ve done something like that. so they knew something lurked in those woods, but considering the reader had repressed the memories, her mom couldn’t just come out and say it <33

GHFJDK so the monster in this is kind of based off the nekomata spirit in japanese folklore - they can appear like people, torment victims by reanimating the corpses of their loved ones, they’ve been blamed for forest fires, so it was just fun to use that as a basis and then go buck wild haha. anyway thanks for the ask bby!

Christian normativity and Lovecraft Country

Here’s something you need to wrap your head around. If you were brought up in an environment dominated by Christian culture, Christian norms have shaped the way you conceptualize how the world works, human nature, ethics, religion (even the term religion is Christian-normative), and so on.

It doesn’t matter if you actively practice or believe. IMO, unless you deliberately and consistently expose yourself to different frameworks, you are generally operating from a Christian lens. That’s just how socialization works.

In the case of media and media criticism, the Christian framework shows up in a deeply puritanical streak where good and evil are not actions and choices, but states of being. When a character does something beneficial, it’s because they are good. If they do something harmful, it’s because they are bad.

It also shows up in the ways that fandom discourse seems preoccupied with whether a character’s thoughts, feelings, or actions are morally justified or not, as opposed to understanding where those thoughts, feelings, and actions come from.

Consider Montrose. He does some horrible stuff in this show, and many viewers were upset by the way the narrative went out of its way to explore where those horrific actions come from rather than condemn him for them. Meanwhile, I’m sitting here thinking, “Of course he does that, considering what his experiences have taught him.” But at the time the show was airing, if I’d expressed that openly, I’d have gotten a lot of, “Why are you trying to justify all the bad things Montrose has done?”

*smh*

In Lovecraft Country, the Christian normativity also shows up in the way it tries to shoehorn the plot (especially the finale) into a typical Good vs. Evil (or God vs. Satan—more on this in a bit) narrative even though the characters themselves are too complex for that. Then the show Goes There with the hamfisted way it links Tic with Jesus, all the way down to his martyred blood being the source of salvation, and Christina with Satan or the Antichrist, a morally corrupt enemy of goodness/God who tempts humans to embrace forbidden knowledge (magic) and forbidden pleasures (non-cishet sex).

(IMO, the show did Christina a disservice by making her the ultimate villain because she’s a lot more fun as a wild card. Also, her character is more akin to the tricksters of myth and folklore than the villains of contemporary media. /tangent)

Then there’s the way that, in the US, the legacy of slavery, and later Jim Crow, is seen as a kind of Original Sin, which the show reinforces rather than challenges. In very simplistic terms, Original Sin means that you are automatically morally corrupt from birth, and nothing you do can undo that except faith in Jesus. In other words, you are born bad and condemned to damnation unless you think, feel, and believe the right thing.

This insinuation of Original Sin is most pronounced with how the narrative frames Christina and how viewers respond to her. I’ve seen a lot of people judge her for having the “wrong” thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes, using that as an argument against her capacity to change and grow. Even the ways she helps and empowers others become automatically suspect because of this “taint.”

Y’all, you have to understand how weird this looks to my Jewish self.

Imagine this rich heiress who kills a bunch of Nazis. She does it for her own reasons that aren’t the least bit altruistic. That’s still fewer Nazis for me to worry about. We can argue about her motives when there are no more Nazis. But for now: Thanks, lady!

But the way some viewers would have it, I’m supposed to be like…

Me: “I know you killed all these Nazis, but do you really care about my people?”

Her: “No.”

Me: “You horrible person! If you don’t care, don’t bother killing any Nazis at all!”

Haha. OK. Sure, Jan.

I’m not gonna go down the rabbit hole of Jewish ethics and moral development, but to summarize Jewish ethics while standing on one foot, the important thing is the Do The Thing. Even though it’s ideal to Do The Thing for the right reasons, whatever it takes to get you to Do The Thing is valid (some conditions about Doing The Other Things apply). Good intentions don’t absolve people of wrongdoing, nor do ulterior motives erase the good that people do.

Furthermore, sin is not a state of being in Jewish tradition. It’s an action or behavior akin to an arrow missing its target. Our job is to fix what we can and try again, failing better until we hit our target.

So Christina crashing her car into truckload of racists matters. Giving Leti enough money to pay for a house matters. Sharing magical secrets with Tic and Ruby matters. Keeping her promise not to harm Leti matters.

Now, if I really wanna get Jewish about this, I’d argue that Christina’s deep yearning for human connection, for family and for love, is what can give her the drive to learn better* and do better. This may strike some with deeply ingrained Christian norms as selfish, or at the very least, self-interested. However, Jewish tradition encourages us to perform mitzvot and other good deeds using both our yetzer hatov (our “good” impulse—think the Freudian** superego) and our yetzer hara (our “evil” impulse—think the Freudian id). Our job is not to suppress or deny the part that wants things for ourselves, but to refine it and channel it toward constructive purposes.

I think that’s about it.

I’m not gonna go down the rabbit hole of Jewish ethics and moral development, but to summarize Jewish ethics while standing on one foot, the important thing is the Do The Thing. Even though it's ideal to Do The Thing for the right reasons, whatever it takes to get you to Do The Thing is valid (some conditions about Doing The Other Things apply). Good intentions don’t absolve people of wrongdoing, nor do ulterior motives erase the good that people do.

Now, if I really wanna get Jewish about this, I'd argue that Christina's deep yearning for human connection, for family and for love, is what can give her the drive to learn better* and do better. This may strike some with deeply ingrained Christian norms as selfish, or at the very least, self-interested. However, Jewish tradition encourages us to perform mitzvot and other good deeds using both our yetzer hatov (our “good” impulse—think the Freudian** superego) and our yetzer hara (our “evil” impulse—think the Freudian id). Our job is not to suppress or deny the part that wants things for ourselves, but to refine it and channel it toward constructive purposes.

Supernatural s3

It’s so unfair that the season that has Ruby AND Bela is so short :(((. I was done with it waaaay too quickly, and now I’m speed running through s4 xD (which, like the first time around, is Strong Mixed Feelings territory).

-My girl Ruby!!!! I was so happy to have her back, I kept grinning like a loon every time she was on screen. It’s quite interesting watching the 1.0 and 2.0 versions so close to each other, instead of as they air. I have... Thoughts, on whether Ruby as a double agent was something planned or that they decided as they went, but that’s for the s4 post. s3!Ruby really doesn’t come across as one (“I don’t believe in the devil” oh I wish sometimes xD, I love my nonbelievers), imo, but the beauty of such a device is that you can rationalize anything she does as devious if you want to xD

And it goes without saying that I love her interactions with Sam. THIS SHIP ISTG. I love how immediately ~attuned to her he is lol, his present and instinctive concern for her even if he tries to mask his interest as “practical”. And all the repeated times Sam’s conflicted between her and Dean -like when he deviates Dean shot (wasting one of the Colt’s bullets lmfao) or during the argument about the virgin sacrifice xD. And the “that’s my boy”/ “little fallen angel on your shoulder” quotes!!! Ruby 1.0 deserved to be railed by Sam too, smh.

My favourite episode of hers is “Jus in Bello” (which would be my fave of the season just by virtue of having both Bela and Ruby in the same episode lol. Not interacting, of course, the world as we know it wouldn’t have survived). I just love that she gets that final moment of I TOLD YOU SO to the brothers xD. I really like how she expands on the demonic lore of the show- I love, LOVE the detail about how all demons used to be humans, how they’re souls corrupted in hell. And that in her past life she was a witch (there was this really good fic in Spanish fandom about it... I need to hunt it down).

BTW, though I think her interactions with Dean in that episode are interesting, it really hammers home how much I hate him sometimes xD. Can you stop saying misogynistic slurs for TWO GODDAMN MINUTES, DEAN (and as we know from as early as this season, only HE can have demon/monster friends!! What a fucking hypocrite xD). I freaking love the moment in the finale when she viciously yells him about how she wishes she could see him in hell lmao (and how it foreshadows that when she shows sympathy later, it’s actually Lilith in disguise lmfao). I hate Dean gets the last word in their dynamic, tbqh. Until the s15 cameo, at least xDD

One thing that’s been bothering me xD: the French fries. Demons are vulnerable to salt, like other spirits, right? (and hey, look what a nice piece of foreshadowing that was). How does that translate to food lol. Because Ruby adores French fries, and they obviously contain salt. It’s like spicy food for humans? Or like pineapple? Inquiring minds etc. xD

-I still cannot believe Bela Talbot was only on the show for six episodes lmao. Her presence still lingers in the watchers’ heads so much?? Which is understandable because she’s Lead Girl Material if there was ever any lol. The care with which they styled her even?? You don’t do that for just any character lmao (I mean, just look at most of SPN’s female characters for comparison xD).

Her ship with Dean could’ve really been something, too -even if I hate Dean in it, I can’t deny it packs a punch, narrative-wise. I mean, the Batcat undertones alone!! The fake married undercover shenanigans!! And I think it’s really interesting that she’s such a blind spot for him; Dean’s unusually intuitive about people, but with Bela he takes everything at face value and she can fool him like no other (while, OTOH, is Sam who questions her facade and wants to see more). If he hadn’t been such an idiot (and such an asshole) he could’ve had a really powerful ship. Sucks to be him lol.

Anyway. Man, I love her. So much. I love how Gordon’s threats to kill her don’t work on her, and I love that the show basically said “Bela killing her abusive parents is good, actually” (I’m so tired of forgiveness narratives, you guys. This entire show is founded on revenge, so let me get my revenge fantasies in peace!!) xDD. And I love, LOVE that she withheld that truth from Dean, that she decided he wasn’t worth it. OTOH, you know, fuck the fans that got her written out, definitely; but on the other, I do love how her story ended (and that it was a clear "fuck you" to shitty fans). Doesn’t stop me for wanting to read and re-read (and maybe write!) even more “Bela escapes hell” fix-its, but still.

Also, very important question: what happened to her cat?? It’s the cat alright?? I’m going to headcanon that she left them with that cougar friend of hers lol.

-So. THE DEAL. Okay. Oof. I love this storyline, a lot. A loooot. I love the conflict it creates between the brothers (as long as there’s still conflict and Sam hasn’t yet started taking everything lying down I can enjoy that part of their narrative lol). I love Dean’s initial forced giddiness about “making the most out of his last year” and I love the moment Dean decides he does want to try to live because it makes the last few episodes all the most desperate and cruel (and hey, I’ve heard he only went to hell because the season was cut short due to a writers’ strike... if that’s true that’s so funny lmao).

My absolutely favourite part however? That you can FEEL Dean’s unvoiced resentment towards Sam. For Dean having to die for him, even if Sam never asked him to. He lashes out to Sam repeatedly through the season, but it really came to ahead in the dreamspace episode, where Dean confronts another version of himself that talks about how Sam was “dotted on” (the revisionism asldfkaf). This show is absolutely ruthless when it comes to showing you its characters’ ugly, unfair reactions to things and it’s my favourite thing evah.

Speaking of the dreamspace episode, OMFG. I loved both brothers there. Dean’s hallucination, seeing himself as a demon? And how he let out his anger about John?? Beautiful, truly (regarding John, I also loved their different reactions when it looked like his spirit had contacted them: Dean jumping on it and Sam detached skepticism). But my favourite part has to be when Sam uses the villain’s abusive father against him. Like. Damn. That was cold-blooded o.0

The second-to-last episode, when Sam tracked down that Frankenstein doctor to try and make Dean immortal was ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING OMG. I loved that. I love that Sam wanted to use it for both them. It was some scary shit. I also love the scene where the crossroads demon questions whether Sam really wants to break the deal, I’m gathering it’s going to be nice foreshadowing later on in the show lol.

Anyway. I also found Dean’s death scene more impactful than Sam’s. Partially because of the horror of it, but mostly because I think at this type of scenes, Padalecki is better. Sam’s grief felt more real, Dean’s got me out of the scene (it’s the voice, I think. Sometimes Ackles’ voice takes me out of scenes, it sounds... forced).

I also really enjoyed how the time loop episode wrapped around this subplot. It managed to be both heartbreaking and mind-numbly hilarious lmfao. Like?? All the deaths?? Were so pathetic?? I tip my hat to Ackles because I don’t think most actors could carry plots like this half as well lmfao.

Sidenote, it’s always a trip to see The Trickster God knowing that fucker is Gabriel. Archangel “hey Mary do you accept God knocking you up” Gabriel. Which I guess isn’t exactly a thing in this show?? Since according to the wikia SPN Jesus was “just a man” (and let me tell you, I’m tickled pink by the fact that out of ALL mythological figures, specifically all CHRISTIAN mythological figures, the show decided to go “nah” on Jesus Christ. I mean, I guess he’d take away from Dean’s, Sam’s and Castiel’s resurrection narratives, but still. It’s so funny!!).

-Gordon Walker remains a superbly acted and fascinating character with extra racist nonsense alsdkfjasdf. But I can’t deny I loved seeing him as a vampire. He was terrifying. And I’m definitely shipping him with Kubrick, ouch xD

-The Ghostfacers episode is... something. As in, incredibly exploitative and homophobic and with an egregious case of BYG (and the first where I’d say it’s incontestable to claim the trope was used. s1 and s2 are muddy territory given the circumstances, IMO, but this one is 300% BYG), but so successfully manipulative my heart hurt for Corbett and Corbett x Ed still. Fuck them for that ngl. I do still enjoy how anti-Winchesters they all are though xD

-3x01 introduces the one nice marriage of hunters so far, between a black couple. The man dies in a gross, horrifying way within the episode ofc (because he was Mean to the the brothers duh). She makes it out alive, and since she doesn’t reappear in the show she gets to live. So for now black women have a sliiiiiightly better track record in SPN than track guys there: they get to appear in a few more episodes and be more fleshed out (Victor, Gordon), but as long as they’re only in one episode they get to live!! (Cassie, Tamara).

-Rufus and Bobby are exes, right? Right?? Probably still married in some state? You know that post about how when gay marriage was legalized across the USA there were a lot of issues because some couples had split and never bothered to divorce, since it was only legal in one place? That post was made for them. Pity Rufus is a black man, and as such has a limited number of allowed appearances before he’s killed off ¬¬

-I would’ve enjoyed Dean’s moments with Lisa and Ben more (it’s just so RIGHT that in this moment he’d want Ben to be his) if my knowledge of future spoilers didn’t perpetually have me in a state of “pls keep this guy away from kids” lol.

-They had Harmony’s actress (BTVS) and they made her a vampire!! The show’s hard on for the Buffyverse is a bit of a hit and miss but I can’t say I don’t relate xDD.

-I know Jensen Ackles can sing (in fact thanks to youtube I know a few of the actors can... is there a musical episode. Does this show have its own OMWF. I need to know). So why. WHY. Does he sound like that during “Dead or Alive”??? I actually like the scene but he sounds so off-key lmao.

-BTW, I found out that apparently Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohan originally auditioned for each other’s roles añslkdfjasf. I can’t picture it. Ruby 1.0 is Ruby 1.0 and Bela is Bela xD. Although I’ve seen each playing roles that could meld with the other, just. Nope. Good choice on the casting there lol.

wow. it's season 5. really feeling the brain rot

Things I liked:

alr I thought the 4 horsemen thing was pretty cool, especially with Death at the end of the season, his entrance,,, *chef's kiss*

cas is getting so much funnier and I love him with all my heart(the 99 problems whore thing)

Other Thoughts:

they completely threw the whole Jesse being a trickster out the window and never touched it again didn't they

they glossed over SO MUCH in 5x16 Dark Side of the Moon,, wowie we don't have time to unpack ALL THAT(sam's dog, "but when dad came home", zachariah calling mary a milf??)

The End?? so many questions about that, really

I thought Sam, Interrupted was really really interesting bc these characters OBVIOUSLY have mental illnesses and there's evidence of that and they're not getting addressed! anyway I made a post about some of the things I said during that ep

SIKE not really time to talk to the 3 bitches here who also play 3h. And by talk I mean that I'll put my thoughts on my current run out here and yall do whatever

So rn im doing AM lunatic classic and uh.... It's been an Experience TM. Battle prep is more important than ever. It's like 50% of the battle imo. You'll NEVER catch me going out into the field without checking everyone's battalions, weapons, combat arts and abilities.

It'ssss been fucking tricky. A big part of the last two battles I've done (Gronder and Anettes Paralogue) has been timing the enemy reinforcements. Learning that I can't do a certain thing like putting a unit someplace or killing a specific enemy until I've cleared a region out lest I'm overwhelmed by a new wave of enemies. Been a key factor with those two.

Oh and the first battle post ts? When you get to mop those damn thieves up? Took me several tries. P much every battle does actually. It was reaaaally fucking difficult to keep Dimitri and Byleth alive in that terrain and with the God damn boat load of enemies. Also had to play around a bit and see since I was missing four crucial units (Dedue, Petra, Hapi, Yuri). It was... An experience. That aged me by like 10 years.

Battles usually take me over an hour and they can get really fucking intense. Beat Gronder earlier but the fucking alliance reinforcements were tricky so it took me several attempts til I caved and reclassed Mercie, Anette and Ashe. Dedue was my fucking mvp tho, he was insane.

Made him a wyvern lord since I'm not a fan of armored units and he's doing amazing actually! He's got two big bad axes, the aegis shield and a lance and ever since I've slapped quick riposte on him he's been tearing thru his enemies like nobody's business. Well, also thanks to the +20 hit which I have for every single lion, courtesy of the snipers only run I did.

Felix is a wyvern lord as well! Wanted a change of pace. I was considering making him a war master, but I'll save that for my next run. He's fucking nuts, got 100+ avoid when waiting. I also gave him the chalice cuz he's my special little boy and making me very proud.

Yuri's a sniper this time! It's been a change of pace alright. Lowers his spd but his dex is p good. He's got way less avoid but he does have deadeye and canto so it's not actually a problem. Well, once I'd fixed his strength. He does have 88 crit which is really nice.

Something I haven't really had to rely on in previous runs (hard/normal) is having a secondary class ready. Byleth's got trickster, Anette and Mercie are maining gremory atm but also make damn fine valkyres, Ashe's got swordsmaster/assassin while Yuri has sniper/assassin.

This run is teaching me a Lot about flexibility. Changing up entire setups for big battles to make em work smh. And the timing of divine pulses. In previous runs I'd pulse it immediately when something didn't quite work out (like failing to kill an important enemy) but now I just wait and see. I don't have enough pulses to waste em on anything but preventing death and shit like that can be made work.

I think that's most of my thoughts for now? I currently play in one battle sessions since they're so intense. Now gonna go do cleanup after the Gronder battle (new month and all, gotta prep for the next one). I always take screenshots of how they're all doing at the very end of my run, maybe I'll post some of those once I finally get there.

Cyberverse Season 2 Episode 12, 13, and 14 Spoilers

Episode 12

Bye Optimus you, unlike every other version of yourself that I have ever seen either die or almost die, I felt nothing for you. I’m sure he isn’t dead, but like lmao you were boring af. High key the most boring Oppy. At least the sacrifice was in character. It just feels anticlimactic because I feel nothing for him. There was no narrative build up either so eh. Not impressed.

Starscream’s animation was sooooo good this episode. He looked really handsome. I cant believe he actually killed all the seekers. I mean I can believe he would, but I didn’t think the writers would let him do it. I feel bad that he got taunted and lost and damn it I wanted him to have something! Megatron you ass! How dare you say ‘you’re welcome!’ You made this man so miserable!!!!! I know its in character, but :( please this Stars deserves some help. I doubt that he is gonna get any, but a girl can dream. At the very least, maybe he will get to help in making peace a reality. I just love that he is so open about hating the war. God I love that. Well at least he gets to live for the moment. Better than him getting killed off screen by the mountain.

Megatron hurt my man for the last time. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Even though I said that i like him, and he still is cute, but damn do I hate him so much sometimes.

Episode 13

Skybyte showing up was so sexy~ Man that was so good!

I am a bit surprised Stars saved them by reminding them about the AllSpark. I wish I was like ‘oh redemption arc?’ and then we get some Armada Starscream, but he shouldn’t be okay that fast. Also, that’s just a bit too hopeful for how they like to treat Starscream. Also F R E E H I M

Shockwave I hope Megatron doesn’t start giving you the Starscream treatment lol. I mean what a clever way to trick the Autobots.

Episode 14

Wow awkward Optimus is kind of sweet? I mean now I am sure that him being a bit emotionally stunted is actually what they are going for. It still doesn’t change the fact that he is kind of boring to me still, but at least I can understand what they were going for now.

Why are we only seeing Arcee now? Smh. Anyways I love Ratchet being all excited about his work! He is so enthusiastic about all the gritty details and its such a fresh take on him since he is normally the grumpy old man. I really wish we saw more of him.

Starscream, my love, my king, you are so petty and I love you so much. I’m so glad he got to show off his sexy scientist self with hacking Wheeljack’s invention. My man is so smart and its nice to see that he is back to his trickster ways... Oh wait what? Are we just going to pretend that the last 12 episodes didn’t happen? Can we like actually see how things have effected Stars? I will be patient since I have no idea how many episodes are left in the season, but omg them glossing over everything seems insensitive to what happened to him. Maybe that was why he hated the party so much but idk I just assume that’s how he’d act normally.

to this day i still kinda wanna change my mage lavellan’s name from finley to finrod, like, originally i envision finley’s personality to be a bit more like galadriel’s brother aka finrod felagund, but that didn’t really work out and they were never meant to look similar considering finrod is, first of all, blonde. but then again, finrod is just not a very pretty name--he’s still one of my favourite silmarillion elves cause dude is so fucking funny. every time i get into a silmarillion mood im just like, i cant believe the first time high elves made contact with the first men of middle earth happened cause finrod decided to sneak in on one of their campsites and PLAY HARP for them in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. like, he looked at a bunch of unsuspecting people who almost certainly doesn’t understand his language, and he’s like, “oh i know the perfect way to greet these random strangers i encounter on a hunting trip: to sing them songs with lyrics they almost certainly don’t understand in the dead of the night!!”. what kind of bard fae antic smh. Not to mention, he was hunting alone in the dead of the night? like, why??? also he brought a harp with him on a hunting trip??? huh???? again, what kind of weird trickster god level of fae antic is this. also imagine being some unwashed human whose entire specie only came to being like 30 years ago and u all sleeping in the dirt and then this well-dressed strange dude showed up at your campsite unannounced and wakes you all up in the dead of the night playing harp??? i’d have a heart attack, but these people passed the initial shock phrase apparently pretty quickly and decided that harp dude with pointy ears is A Friend cause hes hot or whatever i guess, like that’s wild.

things slowly began to change once she began hogwarts. her otherworldly charm only seemed to be nourished, finding odd companionship with some wandering ghosts of the school. but while she had a spark that lured any crowd, overall she preferred to stay close to those who she grew up with. other peers that espoused pureblood ideals, just as she was taught. maybe she wasn’t future stepford wife material, but she’d be damned if she didn’t try.

however things really changed once she had her first, actual prophecy. it happened in the middle of class — either potions or transfiguration, cassia couldn’t tell you — during her fifth year. aka shit got real!!!! Too Real!!!! right now though, she’s definitely made the obvious progress/transition into accepting her abilities, but her family??? lol yea, not so much.

her mother especially is like, “well NOW we might not find a suitable husband for you!!!!!! who would want This????” and her father’s like GLARING at her from the opposite end of the dinner table when she’s home for holidays and she just kinda wants to scream because LOOK. cassia knows, knows, how they feel about people they see as “different” to them. SHE KNOWS, SHE WAS RAISED AS SUCH. it’s the whole purist mentality yet somehow worse because it’s HER, and they don’t seem to understand that she’s still the same??? just with some... bonuses ( or not, because being a seer isn’t all fun and games and is actually terrifying and mentally/physically exhausting and taxing. but that’s beyond the point. )

however her brothers --- her twin, and one three years older --- seem... well, if she’s honest she hasn’t been able to get a good enough read on her older brother, but she hardly sees him anyway so she doesn’t care THAT much lmao. her twin brother however? god cassia and him were so close growing up, despite how effortlessly he blended in with their society meanwhile she was kinda like... too much or not enough?? so. his opinion definitely matters to her and while she doesn’t know where he OFFICIALLY stands, she’s kinda at the point where, with like many other aspects, does not want to know.

AS FOR OTHER TIMELINES.... oof!!!!! learning about the other timelines somehow made her feel worse about her seer abilities/gotta love a hopeless feeling sinking in and there’s Nothing you can do about it. as just mentioned she doesn’t really LIKE knowing some things and other versions of herself is no different because she can barely keep her shit together in THIS one? like??? her with an actual WAR??????

timeline two cassia stuck with the pureblood/death eater side. she was already so “different” from her family, and it’s sickeningly obvious where the parkinson’s stand, so of course she’s going to justify the awfulness with the fact it’s how they were raised...smh ;/

timeline three cassia would be pretty standard, overall neutral but clearly swaying to the death eaters as an ally, because again she’s not going to abandon everyone she’s known/her family/etc. while she might be self-destructive, cassia definitely shows signs of knowing when to have that seemingly dormant self-preservation.

okay so you know how she doesn’t like knowing certain stuff and all that jazz, and her scorpio midheaven “you need to learn how assist with difficult decisions” shtick? yeah big grief because it’s such a process and she ain’t making ANY. like... growing up in the type of environment she did --- quiet passive aggression and toxicity --- it’s always been easier to bite your tongue. after getting used to the bitterness, it seems to have somethings better left unsaid. no need to cause a scene because it’s more trouble than what it’s worth even though this disgust is eating you up inside? maybe she’ll overcome this one day. maybe.

Are you named after someone?: Yes. I’m named after a nurse who tended to my mom during and after my birth, which was quite difficult.

When was the last time you cried?: Like, at night two days ago. Stress and feeling worthless

Do you have kids? No, and I don’t think I’ll ever have them. I like kids, but I don’t think I could handle one of my own.

Any special talents? Uhhh I’m better at English than most people in my class even though I’m not a native and almost all of them have been in a special program that teaches most classes in English since they were kids (Even though we’re all in that program now)?? Is being better at English than the majority a special talent?? Also in school I’ve always been told I’m a great writer but I barely write on my own even though I want to lol. I’m also told I’m good at drawing but I haven’t picked up my sketchbook in weeks. I hate not being inspired.

Favorite subject in school? This year I’m taking this optional subject called Classical Culture (Cultura Clásica in Spanish) and it’s just about Greco-Roman gods. We had a test on it today and it was the easiest one I’ve ever taken. 10 “fill-in-the-gaps” questions about myth lore I’ve known since I was like 8. It’s amazing.

Dream job? I want to get a degree in Translation and Interpretation since I love languages and I’m practically bilingual already, plus there are many career options you can get out of it.

aight wrap-up:

1. Yes, it’s a trend for me to dislike plot episodes, but that’s only the Sad Angst Plot episodes. Shit like this? absolutely WILD, I enjoyed myself immensely. And the only plot was Ya Boi Gabriel is a guy that exists, and I liked that plot a great amount.

2. I assume Bobby was well liked and that’s why they brought him on, but GOOD LORD do I enjoy it, I love Bobby so much.

3. The sibling behavior in this episode? hilarious. I loved it. I think I just liked Gabriel in general, I like trickster gods, and having just a fun chill episode was really a vibe.

4. OH right, the unreliable narrator vibes throughout the recounting made me SO incredibly happy. It’s not as sleek as I normally like, but it was in character and funny. Again, framing is Important.
