I try to be ‘discourse’ fee

But I’ve had something bugging me for a while.

How do y’all feel about the way Asra’s gender identity was handled?

I am NB (I use they/them) and when I saw I could make my character with they/them pronouns I was very excited. But I also played most of the game with no knowledge of Asra being Non Binary, all I had for representation within the characters was a Satrinava sister and the courtiers.

And I am torn, because obviously not every queer story line needs to be screamed from the rooftops, it doesn’t have to revolve around them being LGBTQ+, but like even just a confirmation within game that Asra was Non Binary? As far as I know it was all confirmed via Twitter/Tumblr.

It feels.... idk cheap to me? Like when JK Rowling told everyone via Tweet that Dumbledor was gay. Like it doesn’t count?

And all this is directed at the writers of the game, the real life people who wrote the script and made the choice to deliever vital information about a loved characters identity over a platform not everyone uses. (I will personally die for Asra and his gender identity.)

And while I’m here being bothered, we still do get Non Binary characters (and not all of them are demons) and the ability to make our own character with they/them pronouns, which again, was VERY important and exciting for me, so like maybe I shouldn’t be hung up about one characters gender identity feeling mishandled, but here I am.

Please share your thoughts, I’d love to know how y’all (especially other NB fans) feel about the whole thing!

Dubai: A Filipina expat was terminated by her employer after her story searching for help from readers to pay for home lease and to purchase meals in the course of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic was lately revealed by DailyKhaleej.

Corazon Tarcena

Almazar underlined, in the case of Tarcena, “the reason for summary termination was due to the employee being interviewed by DailyKhaleej regarding her personal experience, which was completely outside her work.”

“The right of the employer to discipline its employees is limited within the premises of the company only. In fact, under paragraph 7 of Article 120, a court judgment is required before an employee can be summarily terminated for misconduct done outside of work,” he additional defined.

“Even if the interview was about the company and the employee was not authorised to do so, it will not warrant an immediate termination unless the employee has disclosed confidential information (paragraph 6 of Article 120). At most, this can be a ground for disciplinary action such as warning or suspension,” Almazar identified.

Compensation for Corazon

Almazar, who conducts free authorized support on the Philippine missions in the UAE, added: “If the employee has been arbitrarily dismissed, the court has the jurisdiction to give judgment against the employer for payment of compensation to the employee.”

“The court shall determine the amount of this compensation, taking into consideration the nature of work sustained by the employee, period of service and after investigation of dismissal circumstances. Provided that in all cases the amount of compensation should not exceed the employee’s pay for a period of three months, to be worked out on the basis of last pay due to him (Article 123 of the Labour Law),” he continued.

Upon additional examine of Tarcena’s case, Almazar stated: “Based on the employee’s story, it appears that it was in fact her company which has violated the law. Her salary was reduced and she was put on a “no work, no pay” scheme with out her written consent, opposite to Ministerial Decision Quantity 279/2020 issued by the Ministry of Human Assets and Emiratisation (MoHRE).

CALOOCAN CITY, Oct. 16 (PIA) -- The National Power Corporation (NPC) Provident Fund received the cash and non-cash rewards for the “Premyo Bonds Para sa Bayan” (Premyo Bonds) Third Quarter Rewards Draw promo of the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) and partner institutions.

The ceremonial turnover—which was held on October 2 at the Ayuntamiento Building, Intramuros in Manila—was led by National Treasurer Rosalia V. De Leon, Deputy Treasurers Atty. Erwin D. Sta. Ana, Atty. Gisela F. Lood and Sharon P. Almanza, and Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank) Trust Banking Group First Vice President Lolita M. Almazar. They were joined by Rowena Espiritu, sales and marketing head of Arden Botanical Estate, Megaworld Global Estate, Inc.

The NPC Provident Fund—which made its Premyo Bond placements through LandBank—received a P1-million cash prize and a condominium unit from Megaworld Corporation. The rewards were accepted for the institution by NPC Provident Fund Chairman Alexander P. Japon.

The Premyo Bonds are deemed one of the safest and affordable short-term investment products when it was offered from November 25 to December 13, 2019. Issued by the National Government, the bonds were offered at a minimum denomination of P500 with a fixed interest rate per annum of 3%. A Premyo Bond investment of P500 entitles the investor to one raffle ticket.

In his video message during the Third Premyo Bonds Draw, Finance Secretary Carlos G. Dominguez urged the raffle winners to reinvest their money in government bonds to help support the nation’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Premyo Bonds were first offered to the public last year by the National Government through the BTr, with LandBank as one of the Joint Lead Issue Managers. Other Joint Issue Managers were private banks BDO Capital and Investment Corp., China Bank Capital Corp., and First Metro Investment Corp. The Issue Managers also served as Selling Agents.

Aside from the grand winner, a total of 115 Premyo Bond investors also won cash prizes, including 100 3rd cash reward winners of P20,000 each, and 15 2nd cash reward tier winners of P100,000 each.

The Fourth Quarter Rewards Draw for the Premyo Bonds will be held on December 18, 2020. (PIA NCR)

Genel anlamda Osmanlı desenli işleme yaptık. Bıçağın işlemesi 1 haftamızı aldı bizim. Başka bir bıçağın işlemesi 3 günümü aldı. Tasarımı kendime ilişkin hususi olan model bir bıçak. Bu bıçağın uç kısmında manda boynuzu geri kalan kısmında ise geyik boynuzu var. Ek olarak pirinç balçak da kullandım. Bunun üstüne tek tek kanal açarak Sivas’a özgü bizim zincir işleme dediğimiz işlemelerle bıçağın süslemesini bitirip bu hale getirdik. Bıçak ağız açım yeri ile işlemeleri birbirinden ayıran yere ince oluk, kanal dediğimiz sistemi yaptık. Eşi olmayan bir bıçak tasarımı çıkarttık ortaya. Bu bıçak fazlaca tutulan bıçaklar arasına girdi” şeklinde belirtti. Tutarları 2 ila 6 bin lira arası değişiyor Bıçak ustası Mustafa Argut, elinde mevcut olan 3’lü set diye malum bir bıçak bulunduğunu dile getirerek, “Bu bıçağın sahibi 3’lü set olarak istedi. 3’üne de ayrı ayrı işleme yaptık. Bu 3’lü set almazar, zirve ve dövme nacaktan oluşuyor. Bu set İsrail’e gidecek. 6 bin liraya yaptık. Başka bir bıçağımız Finlandiya’ya gidecek. Orada geyik avı meşhurdur. Geyik avında kullanılacak. 2 bin liraya yaptık. Bir de Anadolu’nun göbeği sayılan Erzurum’a gidecek olan bir bıçağımız var. Onu da 3 bin liraya yaptık” şeklinde belirtti.
