I'm giving Donna Noble some slightly uncanny qualities as little a treat. Nothing that immediately marks her as anything other than completely human, mind you, but there is oddities here and there. Sometimes at night her eyes seem to reflect light in a way they shouldn't, and she seems to be able to see more color in the darkness. One time she stuck her head under water for a bath and when she came up, according to the clock it had been ten minutes without issue. She used to run cold just like her mum's side of the family, but now she neither shivers nor sweats when by all accounts she should. She swears she can hear those whistles that are meant for dogs, and they're bloody annoying. It's not enough that she suspects anything is different about her, at least not like that, but it's enough to be just the slightest bit off from the experiences of those around her.

carmen making soup and doing pharmacy runs for bunny whose allergies get really bad, especially during the beginning of spring. the first time bear experiences one of her flare ups, he literally races to the nearest drug store and comes back with a shit ton of meds and a shit ton of other stuff he wants to spoil her with while she’s feeling run down.
boxes and boxes of kleenex. cough drops that bunny can barely stand. multiple bags of candy to help wear away the, in bunny’s words, that “nasty ass” taste of the couch drops. another blanket. flowers that he checks are hypo allergenic before bringing into the house. a stuffed bunny for his bunny.
and mucinex (which he has to coax her to take and rub her back as she swallows it down with the cutest grimace he’s ever seen)

Doctor Beverly Crusher @SpaceDocMom Disability and chronic illness can happen to anyone. Even the health-privileged and abled may one day become disabled and/or chronically ill, especially in your ongoing pandemic. All public health policies should keep this in mind. Hey y'all! Weird question time again! I will be having my first MRI in a few weeks (specifically, an MRI of my brain) and I know nothing about it except No Metal Allowed. I will not be getting the contrast dye on account of I kicked up a fuss about potential anaphylaxis* and the doctor was kind of like "fine but if we find anything and need a clearer picture you'll have to get another one" Do you have any advice/suggestions/things I should know about MRIs? *if, as several doctors have suspected, my weird allergies are MCAS there is a good chance I am severely allergic to the dye. Also I am a bit paranoid about injections in general because my allergic reactions to injections are waaaaaay worse than my reactions to food, pills, or environmental allergies

every time i go to the doctor it seems like there’s always one (1) thing about my blood work/exam/medical history/whatever that confuses and upsets them. there’s always something SLIGHTLY wrong. i for one have accepted the fact that my body is weird and doesn’t make sense, so it’s always kind of fun when they’re like “wow. you shouldn’t be like this, but there’s no explanation for it, and you’re not dying, so. carry on i suppose”
