Hii AJ! I'm not sure how many pending asks you have atm or if I'm even supposed to be sending asks to this blog instead of JWB but since this is unrelated to IPK I thought to reach out here, please answer only if you want to and have the time to :)

I finished Ipkknd a while ago and I have had nothing good to watch for so long, i was looking forward to Kabhi kabhi ittefaq se and Balh2 but i couldn't get into the latter and the former seems like some show I've seen already, do you still watch something on ITV and do you have any recs?

Also, random question but when did you first watch Ipkknd? What got you hooked to it?

You are very very sweet so ofc I'd love to reply to you! Thank you for the loveee <3 Currently ITV is in its worst state in its existence. There's barely anything worth watching.

The two shows that is on air and I'm watching are:

Waghle Ki Duniya - a fun family sitcom that's about a middle class family

Ziddi Dil Maane Na - not the most interesting show but it's a fun take on friendships, love and life in a military setting (very nostalgia feelz of early 2000s Star One)

I keep a track of:

Imlie - Sumbul and Farhan are great actors and share amazing on screen chemistry and I was taken by Aryan and Imlie's platonic relationship that simmered with the first blush of love. However I'm not the biggest fan of this forced wedding and all. Big turnoff. The show works well when stereotypical plot points aren't forced in. Also Imlie's loyalty to her 'ex sasuraal' is getting on my nerves, along with Aryan choosing the most convoluted way of getting a girl out of emotionally abusive and controlling relationships.

Kabhi Kabhi Ittefaq Se - the bengali version of this show was very sweet and it's kinda refreshing. The first few episodes are hard to sell and it feels like a reboot of Sasural Genda Phool however this show is a decent watch from the moment the leads decide to mutually agree to a divorce post a year. The show is wholesome and has its moments, but nothing that keeps me hooked to it.

Bade Ache Lagte Hai 2 - I am attracted to Ram being such an awesome guy. Absolutely love him! The plot? Not so much. Again first few episodes are tough to sell but this is the only reboot of an old show that is actually very good? Priya's character growth is stagnated so it puts the story in a slow pace - otherwise her pragmatism is charming - apart from the self age shaming. In short it's not something I'm very invested in, but it has its moments of 'aww' and 'hey that was nice'. The pros is that you can see good friendships in the show. The cons is sometimes this pair of 32 and 38 years old behave like they're in their 80s and there's nothing left to life cause they're so old. Dude even people in their 80s enjoy more at times. Last pro - Nakuul and Disha actually have really good chemistry.

Fanaa - it is a bit too quickly paced for my liking, but it's Colors show and the channel people there are crazy - they literally change plots overnight - but it's the only thriller show where the female lead is actually disgusted by the male lead's obsession and the male lead is a brilliant example of a deranged anti hero. It's like if Shyam was Khushi's best friends and did his shenanigans. First few episodes are a hard sell but I really like that the show ships the friendship and how Pakhi is growing to love her friend, but then seeing a brutal end by the fact that her friend may not be who she thinks he is. I only hope it ends as a good revenge drama. The female lead isn't an idiot and the male lead isn't a BUAHAHAHA villain. He has his motivations - but isn't excused for it and his psychology has its negatives and positives. IN GENERAL THOUGH, ITV has lost the era where something was consistently good. People who have long watched ITV have simply stopped watching it now and it's understandable. You might like these set of recommendations I had for shows in the recent past. If you wanna watch something Desi - I'd highly recommend going back to old shows cause old is literally gold here.

One other show that's not in my recs anywhere is Kaatelal and Sons. I definitely recommend watching this show all the way till the father accepts the two daughters for his business and where both of their marriages are fixed and it's a happily ever after. This is the guide for the show:

omg yes of course!! (sorry for the late response btw I saw it and promised myself I'd answer it later and then just.....forgot)

my gay hockey oc's are vince darling and sammy aguilar!! they are bitter rivals turned reluctant teammates who eventually become friends and fall in love! the whole reason they exist is bc I wanted to do this thing where sammy called vince "darling" exclusively, except as the context of the name changes so does the meaning. so like when they're bitter rivals, it's said sarcastically and when they're teammates, it's said just as his name and finally when they're Together, it becomes an endearment. the first interaction I ever had down for these two was "I like it when u call me that" "what, darling? that's your name" "no, it's different when u say it" and it still makes me scream

vince darling is a hard ass defenseman with a heart of gold who loves kids! he reads bed time stories to his sister's kid every saturday night, even if he has a game. he runs a free hockey clinic for kids in his home town during the offseason, and he shows up every single day for the clinic's two week run and tries to give each kid as much one on one time as he can. for this reason, he has won the heart of every kid in town. ask any of them who their favorite hockey player is, no matter how many years it's been since they attended the clinic, and they will say vince darling without hesitation. hockey media is baffled by this

sammy aguilar is a chaos king! he's just here to stir shit up. he's a very goofy, very affectionate, all cards on the table up front kinda dude in general but he IS mean, and he DOES love to start drama. he's not easily impressed At All and he will let u know that. he's also terrible with kids. the first time he meets vince's sister's kid he's like uhhhhhhh ?????? she loves him anyway for some reason. literally becomes one of her favorite people within like an hour. vince is pretty sure it's bc she ALSO likes to start drama, and she thinks it's funny that sammy has no idea what he's doing. sammy reads her a story exactly once. he's terrible at doing the voices. she laughs so hard she can't fall asleep for another hour and a half

vince holds a grudge against sammy for a long long time. first, bc he's an annoying little shit on the ice and bc vince is the guy that starts fights and sammy is so good at getting under your skin with the littlest most trivial things that vince just keeps racking up penalty minutes whenever they're on the ice together. then it's bc sammy gets traded to his time and gets a letter on his jersey pretty much immediately, and vince is pretty sure aj should've had a letter locked down like three seasons ago but this guy just waltzes in and gets one handed to him? okay. anyway the tides change one game when they're down by one with one period left and sammy stands up to give the pep talk in the locker room. he kicks the coach out and just starts listing names. he looks vince right in the eye and says his name as well. he says every one of those names is the name of someone who still has a goal in them tonight. vince scores ten minutes into the period, off an assist from sammy. the hug during the celly and he feels warmer than he has in months.

but that's the bare bones rn gkdkfkfk I still only know who like. five characters are and two of them don't even have names

Also there's a movie with the same actor from Subh Mangal Jyada Savdhaan - Ayushman Khurana and it's called Andhadhun.......its so good, it's a psychological crime thriller, murder mystery and what not....its just moviegasm straight.

Also any Imtiaz Ali movies coz I am a sucker for it.....but the most recent one that broke me was Laila Majnu....I know lots of adaptations out there....but this is such a modern take but so sick.....And since you like Deepika, you can watch Cocktail by Imtiaz as well....really established her as an actress, also the music album of this movie...🤧

Also I would love if you watched My Name is Khan....that movie touches upon so so so much...its painful...

There's also this movie Masaan, that's so fucking brilliant in how much it speaks and speaks for by using so less of words....it kills me everytime....its also a very raw depiction of Benares (now known as Varanasi, a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India). It's considered to be one of the richest city in terms of spirituality, divinity and also religion but there's also this side of it that talks about gore and death....the city feels to be one of the most hauntingly beautiful amalgamation of divine, life and death....and this movie puts that side out so hauntingly.

All of these movies have soundtracks that are so beautifully poetic....

AND I DID WATCH Barfi, Cocktail, My name is khan (I loveee it so so much, I guess I watched it more than once back then lol , we had like two channels mbc bollywood and Zee aflam they broadcasts them lots) and masaan and black are brilliant, I have masaan on the list of movies I wanna rewatch because like I saw it at different age so I need to revisit it, and im adding Rockstar and tamasha too and definitely Laila Majnu because I guess based on Majnoun Laila? its an arab folklorish story that I know so yesss. I need to watch Hitchkiiii just search it and its Rani Mukherjee I love her.....

omg don’t ask me to talk about Hamilton I will never shut up about it! So it’s obviously the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton but my favorite character is Thomas Jefferson mostly bc that character is one of the funniest in the show. And obviously i stan only fictional TJef not the real person aksksk! But overall I think I like it bc the music is just really first of all but it’s so interesting to also tell history in that rap and singing way!

Ooh I've listened to Olivia rodrigo's album *a lot* since it came out! I love listening to it while reading or writing, it's got a nice flow to it (although I keep brutal & good 4 u for the times I'm stomping through my neighbourhood, full of 'teenage' angst xD)

I started with Lover, I noticed someone in my lecture listening to the album and I was intrigued so I looked it up and I fell in love more and more with each track I discovered!! So I thought 'wow she made really cool music I only knew about two songs from her, I should look up other songs'... Then that was it, I fell down the rabbit hole🙈🤪

Uhm .. hello? Writeblr?

Hola fellow tumblr people, I’ve never been in this site before yet I know most things on here, mostly from other people or spontaneously finding tumblr posts on other media.

Due to this, I have felt the need to join the terrifying platform in hopes of meeting other strange people. So in other words, hello!

I’m a gen z child (no I’m not 12, yes older ones exist too) and I speak mostly in meme or vine references. And I’m definitely not 100% emotionally stable :T, though I have anxiety I’m working on dealing with that. along with the fact that I’m pansexual in a not so lgbt friendly house. It could be worse though! And I applaud everyone who’s made it this far.
