yournameferrari: the obvious answer is michael schumacher, but i also would've loved to work with seb and kimi and jean alesi!

yournameferrari: it's definitely daunting, especially when no one really knew i existed. i was scared when it came to the staff overhaul as they had been there for so long and i was scared that it would massively backfire, but so far so good.

a (long) comprehensive list of buck related things in 7x04 that have me losing it as i rewatch:

- the stupid starry eyed look he has while getting the tour from tommy

- the terrible “i need mo jo” joke that tommy laughs at purely bc it was endearing

- “you didn’t call me because you wanted to see the toys”

- “you need to raise your bar kid” my GOD the “kid”

- ofc, the “no way!! eddie was in the army!”

- god they are so FLIRTY “really?” “my fees are competitive” “let me buy you a beer no WAY buck is this clueless

- eddie being so excited about the fight, and specifically the idea of buck joining help

- “keeping my options fluid” SIR

- the close up shot as the fly off my heart

- the look on bucks face when eddie talks about tommy, boy is devastated

- tommy cocking his head when buck runs into him like oh my

- poor chim does not deserve to be put in the middle of all of this

- “well you bucked that up didn’t you” :(

- okay this scene between maddie and buck afterwards is actually so important to me, i love their ability to communicate, and how buck openly admits that he doesn’t know if he meant to hurt eddie or not, and that he was angry and lashed out, and maddie’s reaction to it :( “that’s not how you get someone’s attention”

- “i guess i was trying to get his attention” buck is the representative of the “i don’t know why i do the things i do until tons of self reflection after the fact” club, same im the president actually

- i do love that we get to watch him try and figure out why he acts and feels the way he does in real time! even at the end he still doesn’t entirely know until tommy is in his face staring at his lips

- the stutter is back 🫶

- “evan…” STOP THE WAY HE SAYS IT THAT TIME MAKES ME GIGGLE I CANT

- this entire scene drives me crazy btw i can literally pick it apart piece by piece… but the way he smiles throughout it makes my heart go akrjeidjdjsjd

- the chemistry is fucking IMMACULATE btw!! the flirting is so natural and it shows through buck being oblivious about it!! like brother no one stands that close to each other

- buck figuring out how he feels AS he speaks!!! poor boy is trying to catch up as fast as he can

- everything about the “okay” after tommy says “i can teach you”… the smile, the eye squint, the head tilt, like oh my GOD

- the way the tone changes when buck says “good” my GOD, the way his face drops as he comes to the realization that maybe it was about tommy the whole time

- the “cause trying to get your attention has been kinda exhausting” punches me in the gut EVERY TIME I WATCH THIS LIKE FUCK OH MY GOD BUCK LIKES MEN FR? and the way he says it GOD, like i said, he’s literally figuring this out as the words come out of his mouth (“i guess so”)

- okay my ONE nitpick about the kiss scene is that tommy grabs his chin, and then when it cuts it’s the two fingers under the chin, it’s inconsistent and i think i like the chin grab better

- the absolute STUNNED look in bucks eyes after the kiss!!! as the perfect oliver stark put it: he’s found something he’s been missing for a long time

- tommy is so worried in the split second before buck tells him that it was okay

- the wordless nod after tommy asks if it was okay THIS MEANS SO MYCH TO ME

- you can FEEL the sense of relief and wholeness radiating off of buck

- “better than fake mouth static” AKSHSISHS

- his eyes following tommy’s lips as he laughs, and then the brief look down like his whole WORLD has just been turned upside down before tommy speaks again

- i am so fucking here for buck being asked out and being stunned by it

- the stutter again 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

- tommy’s smile as he leaves like tee hee ur kinda cute

- the entire of his expressions at the end. there’s panic, there’s confusion, there’s happiness OLIVER STARK THE MAN THAT YOU ARE !!!!

in conclusion: this is everything i wanted and more, the brain rot is everywhere, i cannot escape this episode

This post is pertaining to the hide and seek challenge Scott (Smajor/dangthatsalongname), Shelby (Shubble), Gem (GeminiTay), Lizzie (LDShadowLady), and Jimmy (SolidarityGaming) did very recently.

I am going to take a deep breath, put a few eeeees out in the universe (not to anyone in particular; just for me to not continue spam texting my friend who doesn’t care) in a very calm and collected manner, take another deep breath, and try to maybe go to bed.

Scott, sir, you are insane both at seeking and hiding. You scare me sometimes but it’s okay because it’s in the best way and I admire you for it. You’re so cool <3

Shelby, you’re a psychopath but also in the best way! How did you possibly make something so cute and tiny and still have so many hiding spots! I was giggling the whole time and I loved seeing the Shrub skin again! :D

Gem, the gradients on those roofs and all those details of the interior? Ughhh! Wonderful! Also love the little comments. So fun ^^

Also Shelby and Gem making in the closet jokes in Scott’s video is just the epitome of queer friendships and I am so normal about it mhm yep

Lizzie, you’re unhinged (/pos) but the style of hide and seek you did was so much fun and the hiding spot was 10/10! Sardines (that version of hide and seek I learned) can be so chaotic and so much fun so I got so excited when they started finding you and going quiet. I very much enjoyed :3

3x06, part 1. Fair disclaimer, if Roy is gonna be mean to Jamie at any point, I'm protecting Jamie at all costs. Other than that, I am sooo excited. And it already hat a rating on 9.5 on IMDB, ahhh.

I just think about that and it blows my mind a bit. I couldn't actually dream about seeing Jamie being like THAT on the screen. It sounds like a fanfic, but I'm glad it's not.

Oh, and Jamie's little gremlin laugh is SO cute. I love him. I love Jamie so, sooo much. Phil is doing such an extraordinary job portraying Jamie.

As a side note: if Jamie or someone like him would've been my tour guide in Amsterdam when I visited, I don't think I would've hated it the way I did (despite the fucking weed smell, ew). Sure, I was exhausted and thinking how the hell do I buy tickets for Roger Water's The Wall that evening, but Jamie is just so lively and charming. I would've definitely saw more of the city with him.

Rebecca's "How the hell was I supposed to know that???" BABE. IT WAS RIGHT THERE UNDER YOUR FEET. I mean, I also had some troubles with bikers there, since they'll rather run you over than stop, but omg. I did NOT expect that.

He-fucking-lloooo????? Are you telling me they're actually going with TedBecca endgame in the long run? Tbh, I'm gonna be surprised if they do. I still see them more as friends than anything else. I don't think Rebecca sees Ted more than that and can't even imagine building a romantic future with him.

And there was only one bed.

my mom is staying at a hospital to get some medical stuff done. my sister (an EMT and dog lover) went to visit her and saw a dog wandering around outside during the snowstorm. she calmed it down and got it to come inside with her and noticed it still had a leash attached, so she went back outside to look for the owner and found a woman with multiple broken bones almost completely buried in snow behind the hospital's hotel building. my sister dug the woman out of the snow and got help from the hospital to bring out blankets and hot water bottles while they waited for the emergency team to arrive with a stretcher.

apparently, the woman was staying with her terminally ill husband at the hospital and tried to take their dog for a walk when she fell and was quickly buried because of the snowstorm. they told my sister that if the woman had been left outside even another half hour, or if she'd been found by someone who didn't immediately start warming her up and digging her out, she would have definitely died.

i am so proud of my sister ahhh !!!

Tim might grumble about it but he loves spending time with his nephews during the holidays.

It’s the closest he’s ever come to being an actual dad. Having these two whip-smart, funny, loving boys look up to him, climb on him, tell him their stories, asking him to kiss their boo-boos, listen to him read or tell bedtime stories, cutting up their food, all of it fills his heart up to the point of breaking. Tim is so proud of them and is beyond grateful that Genny trusts him with them. Tim loves them so much he can’t see straight.

He and Genny rented a cabin up by Big Bear this year to help the boys transition from their snow-filled past holidays to their future sun-soaked ones in Los Angeles. Lucy came along because they had just moved in together and he was planning to propose. They’d long ago talked to Grey, HR and IA about their relationship and he had transferred into Special Operations with a promotion, but the bulk of the precinct still had no idea they were together romantically. Their closest friends knew - and Genny of course. However, this was the first “family” vacation she will have been on without their friends around as buffers. Surrounded by Bradfords. He loved her so much and he loved Genny and her boys so much he had been so excited to be in the middle of so much love.

However, as he sits at the dining room table, reviewing the events of the day, he realizes that’s not what happened.

He got up early to shovel the driveway and sidewalks as it had snowed several inches overnight and he came in expecting to be handed cocoa by Genny, receive kisses from Lucy and be bum-rushed by the boys as they dragged him into the house for some great adventure. Instead, when he entered the cabin all was quiet. He could hear laughter coming from deep inside the building as he knocked the snow off himself, hung up his jacket, and kicked off his boots.

Walking into the open kitchen/living room he had seen Genny in the kitchen making breakfast - and she did hand him coffee when he got there - but on the floor, he saw the boys playing “hulk” with Lucy. (“Hulk” being the game he made up when they were small, where they’d climb on him and he’d stand up with them dangling off of him because he was strong like the Hulk). Lucy doesn’t have his height or strength, but she’s creative and full of laughter. So she rolls to one side and then the other from the floor and once they are in her grip, she rolls on top of them, trapping them as she kisses and tickles them - because “she-hulk” is a lover not a fighter. And the boys LOVE it, because they love her.

Then later after lunch, Tim and Lucy were napping, but the boys came in and wake up Lucy to build a snow fort with them outside, leaving Tim conked out and snoring in bed alone. He wakes up with a start when he hears Lucy shout, “I’m going to shoot you!” Tim comes running into the living room only to be pummeled from all sides by Nerf bullets, becoming the first casualty of the Great Holiday War, sitting with Kojo in the medic bay for the rest of the game.

Lastly, after building a fire, and eating dinner, he had gone to shower and came back to everyone in matching footie pajamas covered in Kojo photos. Each boy in a woman’s lap as they tag team read stories to the boys. He was not part of any of the day’s bonding moments, and while he was so grateful that his nephews love Lucy, he felt a weird pang in his chest from being left out.

Tim feels a small hand tapping on his shoulder, pulling him out of his wistful reverie and sees Lucy asking him to shift so she can crawl into his lap. Tim holds her close and kisses her neck while quietly whispering to her, “ I missed the boys today, but I am so glad they are loving on you.” Lucy turns to Tim with a twinkle in her eye and asks, “ahhh, are you jealous? That I’m getting all the attention instead of you?”

Tim sighed and said, “a little.” Lucy discreetly unzips her pjs and grabs his hand and places it inside her jammies, so he feels lots of her warm, soft skin. “I’m tired, but I’d love for you to explore my undiscovered country tonight.” She laughs as he blushes and they say their good nights before heading to bed.

Manon is fuming from where she stands next to Abraxos, saddling him up. Across the field, she watches as Elide smiles and laughs with Petrah Blueblood.

Petrah had recently bonded with a new wyvern, a long time coming as she mourned the loss of her Keelie. Manon, urged by Asterin and Elide to reach out, had invited Petrah and other Bluebloods to the castle Manon and her clan occupied, now that Manon was Queen of Witches. The intent was to strengthen relations between the clans, and to enjoy some leisurely airtime with one another's mounts.

This visit from the Bluebloods was supposed to be the perfect mixture of work and play, building alliances while also asserting the Blackbeak dominance. But, Manon's just been angry the entire time. Jealous. And of course, Elide has no idea. Manon hasn't told her. She has no plans to admit she's jealous, but it's getting harder and harder to watch Petrah woo her girlfriend.

Abraxos grunts when Manon pulls his saddle a bit too tight, and she rolls her eyes as she loosens it. She pats his side, runs her hands down his thick chest, and mutters, "Oh shush, you big baby," before her gaze lands back on her lover, who is now happily skipping over to her.

Elide's grinning, and when she lands in front of Manon, she places a quick kiss to her cheek. Manon's frown fades a bit, but she still isn't happy. Luckily, as Manon always looks angry, Elide notices nothing really different.

"Petrah said I can ride with her! She said her wyvern can do this really cool trick, and that she wants to show it to me before I see her do it! She said it would be a surprise," Elide breaks off into a laugh, "I tried to get her to tell me, but she says I just have to experience it!"

Manon resists the urge to scoff, to roll her eyes, to take her anger out on Elide, sweet Elide, friends-with-everyone Elide.

Instead, she says, through gritted teeth, "Why can't you ride with me? We're all going to the same place."

Elide's smile drops just slightly. "I love Abraxos, you know that, but I want to see what Petrah's talking about! I'll ride back home with you, of course."

Like he knew what she was saying, Abraxos grumbled, and Elide laughed and planted a smooch to his arm, patting him as he soaked in her affection.

Rarely did Elide not ride with Manon, the exceptions being when Elide had Asterin take her out, usually without Manon knowing. Manon doesn't like the idea of Elide being at someone else's, something else's, whim. And she really doesn't like the idea of Elide having her arms wrapped around someone else's waist.

"Do you really think I'm going to let someone show you a trick? Mid-air?"

Elide scoffs, "Oh, Manon! It's Petrah! We're friends! Nothing bad will happen." She still hasn't noticed Manon's discomfort, she's still happy, still excited.

Manon looks over Elide's shoulder, to where Petrah waits, and she notices she had already added another strap for a passenger to fasten themselves in. It makes her blood boil.

But Elide's just so damn excited. And as skilled as Abraxos is, he doesn't do many... tricks. She doesn't want to ruin Elide's fun, so she rolls her eyes, grunts her approval, and dips her chin.

Elide squeals, grabbing Manon's face and placing a big wet smack to her lips before jogging back to Petrah.

Manon watches, with a scowl, as Petrah helps Elide onto her mount, and straps her in. Petrah climbs up, and Manon does the same with Abraxos. Once everyone's ready to take off, Manon orders Asterin to take the lead this time, so that she can trail behind and keep an eye on Elide. Then, she gives the signal, and they're all taking off.

The ride is only about 5 minutes away, they're going to an open valley where the mounts can hunt, the witches can spar, and overall, everyone can have a good time making friends and forming alliances. Several of the witches have brought their significant others, some even toting witchlings along. It's supposed to be a fun day, stress free.

That's until, a few minutes in, Petrah's mount speeds up, soaring past everyone else. Manon can hear Elide's laughter, and some of the Thirteen chuckle at Petrah's young mount, full of the attitude and vigor their mounts once had back in the day.

But Manon isn't laughing. No, she's gritting her teeth in anger and narrowing her eyes as she watches Petrah recklessly fly her girlfriend around hundreds of feet in the air.

And then, Petrah's mount does a fucking flip. Manon gasps, her heart falling out of her chest, her stomach sinking.

But then they're right side up again, and Elide's screaming and laughing so hard that one of the other witches yells, "Hey! I wanna try that next!" and then, they flip again, and Manon sees red.

She urges Abraxos faster, roaring, "PETRAH!" but they pay no mind. Besides, they're approaching where they're meant to land anyway. Asterin leads the descent, landing first, with Petrah and Elide soon after since they'd gotten so ahead. A few more witches land, and then Manon and Abraxos slam onto the ground. The ground shakes, and everyone stares as Manon aggressively climbs out of the saddle.

Petrah is unsaddling her mount and Elide is laughing, pulling her wild hair out of her eyes and mouth, when she abruptly stops, noticing Manon stomping over to them.

"ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY?" Manon bellows, aiming right for Petrah. The poor witch turns around in confusion, and Elide steps in front of Manon before she can attack the woman.

"Manon wha-" Elide tries to intervene, but Manon just pushes past her.

"Taking my girlfriend up in the air, and nearly killing her!? I invite you to MY home, and you pull that shit?!" Manon seethes, hands curling around Elide's arms to stop her from pushing her back.

Petrah sighs, and she doesn't get angry like Manon expected. "She's her own person, Manon, she can decide what she can handle."

"You didn't even fucking tell her what you were doing!" she roars, her teeth sharpening and claws beginning to poke out.

"Manon, please, I didn't almost die! It was fun!" Elide tries to reason, but Manon won't hear any of it.

Petrah doesn't give in to Manon's anger, she just levels her with a cool stare. "Well, I'm sorry if you feel disrespected Manon, but you're not the only skilled witch here, you know. I know what I'm doing, and Elide was perfectly safe with me. I'm not overprotective, I want people to enjoy themselves when they're up in the air," as calm as she is, Manon knows it's a jab at her.

She goes to lunge forward, a hiss escaping through her teeth, but then Asterin is there, a hand on her shoulder, and Elide's still holding her back, pleading with her to calm down.

"Manon, we're supposed to be here having fun, building a relationship. Elide's perfectly fine, so calm down, and don't ruin this,' Asterin's voice is smooth, the definition of level headed and logical. Elide sounds like she's nearly in tears, the way she keeps repeating Manon's name. The sound of her distress is the only thing that snaps her out of it. She looks around, every single witch, their mate, their children, watching her as she lashes out at someone meant to be her ally. She hates to admit it, but Asterin is right. She can't jeopardize what they're all gathered here for. She may have an issue with one witch in particular, but witches as a whole have to get along, they have to be able to stand each other if they want to ensure their long term survival.

Manon finally gives up, snarling as she walks away, pulling Elide with her. "Stay away from her," she calls over her shoulder, and Petrah shrugs like it doesn't really matter to her.

"Manon..?" Elide asks weakly, like she's afraid saying the wrong thing will set her off.

"We're leaving," Manon grits out, speeding her pace up when she realizes she can feel everyone's stare on her.

"You're overreacting, Manon, and I don't want to leave," Elide tries to pull her arm back, but Manon's grip just tightens.

"I don't care! We're going home," and then she's grabbing Elide by the waist, hoisting her up and onto Abraxos.

Elide pouts and stubbornly crosses her arms as Manon buckles her in. "You're being ridiculous," she says, and Manon doesn't even bother answering. She climbs up, swings a leg over, and waits for Elide to wrap her arms around her waist. When she hesitates, she hisses her name in warning, and then she takes off as soon as Elide reluctantly complies.

The five minute flight is tense and silent, and when they land back at home, Elide is immediately unbuckling herself and sliding off of the saddle. Manon watches as she stomps away, likely to their bedroom, but she doesn't follow. She needs time alone to calm down, before she really takes it out on Elide, which she has no desire to do.

She slowly removes the saddle from Abraxos, ignoring his disappointed glare. Over the years, he's formed a bond with Elide, too. And he's clearly upset with Manon for upsetting her, and likely a bit hurt he didn't get to join the fun with the rest of the wyverns and witches. Manon gives him extra pats and treats and then lets him be, knowing he'll be over it in a few hours.

She slowly trudges up to her bedroom, taking the longest route possible, through the winding hallways and towering stairs. When she finally stands outside of the door, she gently pushes it open, calling out Elide's name.

Their bedroom is huge, almost like an apartment. Elide isn't in the bed, or on the couch. She's not in the reading nook when Manon checks there, and she's not in the attached office. She isn't in the kitchenette, brewing tea like Manon had expected, and she isn't sitting on the balcony, tending to her plants. Then, she hears the faint sounds of water trickling from the bathroom.

"Elide?" she asks, gently knocking on the bathroom door.

"What do you want?" is the reply she receives, cold and harsh.

"Can I come in?"

A long pause, then Elide sighs. Manon takes it as a yes.

When she walks in, she's greeted with the sight of Elide in the bathtub. Usually, the sight of her naked girlfriend would have her stripping her own clothes, settling into the tub behind her, trying to cop a feel, but this isn't the time, unfortunately.

Elide doesn't even raise her head or open her eyes from where she's resting it against the lip of the tub.

"You were out of line today, Manon," is all that she says.

"I was worried about you."

"And what exactly gave you the impression that I was in danger? Could it have been my laughter?" Elide snaps, and it takes Manon back a bit.

"She flipped you upside down, Elide. Without asking or telling you or me."

"Yes, you should try it. Maybe that stick will fall out of your ass," Elide finally picks her head up, glaring at her girlfriend.

Manon rolls her eyes. "Funny, Elide."

"I'm being dead serious."

Manon groans and runs a hand over her face, pulling a stool to the edge of the tub and sitting next to her girlfriend, her beautiful, frustratingly oblivious girlfriend.

"Damnit, Elide. Try to understand. You never ride with anyone but me, and I do everything in my power to keep you safe when we're up there. So imagine how it felt when I saw you doing flips in the fucking air with nothing but your hands around someone else's waist and a gods damned belt to keep you in. I didn't fucking appreciate it!" as much as she's trying to not get angry at Elide, her voice takes on a sharp tone.

Elide stares at her and blinks, and then slowly, a small smirk tugs at the corner of her mouth. "You're jealous."

"Excuse me?" Manon scoffs, confused about how that's all she took from what she'd just said.

"You didn't like that I had to have my hands around her waist. You just said it! You're jealous!" Elide acts like she just caught Manon at something.

"Seriously Elide, that's all you got from that? I was fucking concerned."

Elide's face softens. "I'm sorry it scared you, I really am."

Manon nods her head in appreciation.

"But you were still out of line. And jealous," and Manon doesn't even have to look at her to know she's smiling.

"Yeah, maybe. I'll talk to Petrah tomorrow. But I don't feel bad about it. And, I wasn't jealous," but she doesn't sound very convincing.

Elide snorts. "Yes you were. It's obvious. Don't feel shy about it, it's cute."

Manon scoffs, "I am not cute, Elide."

She hums, settling back against the tub. "Sure, whatever you say, baby. You're forgiven, even though you didn't say sorry."

Manon dips a hand into the water and splashes Elide's face. Elide laughs, "Hey! I'm being nicer than you deserve right now! Only because you looked kinda hot, being all overprotective and everything..." she trails off, eyes following Manon's form as she stands, beginning to peel her clothing off.

"I think you need a reminder about which witch you belong to, hmm?" Manon asks, foot stepping into the tub.

Hello! I love your writing style and I would love to know the whole process of how. Like how do you outline and do everything that comes with writing a chapter/story? The whole process basically, if it ain't too much trouble.

AHHH HELLO! It isn't trouble at all, sorry it took me a bit to get back to this. I really appreciate your kind words about my writing style. It's definitely the thing I'm most proud about as a skill, since I am also a writer in my day job!

My process is a little chaotic? I guess.

edit: this got long i'll put it under a read more, actually (w/a screenshot of my actual completed outline for a one shot!)

For new stories or new chapters, a scene that's usually mid-story will come to me out of nowhere, and I will build the story around that. I almost always exclusively write my work in bulletpoints before fleshing it out to actual (very short) paragraphs. I don't usually know the ending to fics that are beyond one shots. I tend to mold it as I understand my own characters and how they development way beyond my original concept, because I don't like pigeon-holing myself into one singular outcome.

Once I have the entire (or most of) the idea outlined, that's when I'll start going in between the bulletpoints and 'rough writing', which is literally just me pushing out anything I want. It doesn't have to make sense. It doesn't even have to sound good. My strength comes with editing after I see the structure written out before me, so my goal is to just get a general chapter/one shot done before I fine tune.

For long fics, I do this chapter by chapter. Sometimes I'll even jump to a chapter 3-5 ch from now and just blurt out a 600-word excerpt that comes to mind. Storytelling doesn't need to be linear, it just needs to be passionate and well-loved.

Then comes the real doozy, which is editing. That's when my real writing happens. I tend to be dialogue-heavy, so once I'm done my first round of edits... I read the entire thing out loud. I deepen my voice (ha) for all my guys I write. I even mumble my smut lines because if Din Djarin's dirty-talkin', I won't let that poor man sound like a moron in the sheets.

Then I format on AO3, copying & pasting to wordcounter.net as I make my last-minute edits so AO3 can't eat my stuff (bc that has happened before and oh it is pain) and post!

For funsies, I went back through my doc and found my entire holiday Nanami x Reader one shot outline for ya!

You can see that I kind of talk to myself through outlines (I'm my own best friend, yes I literally do this in all of my drafts of stories and they can get v unhinged) and I will also add dialogue that comes to mind while I'm outlining that I want to keep for the end story.

ZADIEEEE 😨 the way I CHOKED!! Also CH 30 was insaneee, you continue to astonish me with your writing skills and ideas it’s crazy how detailed and well thought out everything is. The family drama? Our baby finally telling her sperm donor off?? Y/N having an attack? Hoon comforting her?? Her saying she needs hoon and doesn’t wanna think anymore?? GOBSMACKEDD it was all so much yet so little ahhh I can’t wait for the more lovey dovey scenes later the slow build up was perfect!! Seeing how much you’ve grown and accomplished since Hype Boy and you allowing yourself to be more creative and do your own thing makes me so so so happy and proud of you! Lowkey feel embarrassed how many times I’ve started writing to you (it’s the anxiety talking lol) but you definitely deserve lots n lots of love and I know I always have a bunch of things I wanna say to you. I’ve decided I want to try and be more consistent and start writing stuff but babesss idk how you do it especially the level at which you write I honestly admire you so much for how hard you work. All I’ve done so far are some fake texts but I try to keep in mind I gotta start somewhere and just keep growing and do it in a way where I’ll enjoy it and not stress about interactions anytime soon so I don’t discourage myself. Anywhooo I hope you’re taking care of yourself and eating and resting well! Hope all your exams went well! Love youuu 💗 (P.S not these 2 goobers trying to pretend they’re not falling in love with each other with all these smooches 👀🤭)

Having read the latest chapters...I'm honestly glad you're making us suffer a bit before the happy ending. Because let's be clear, them all pining after each other and being idiots was both fantastic and painful at the same time, so deeply enjoyable to read. But then it just became medical issues coming in with a steel chair and making us all hug the "Happy Ending" tag like a stuffed animal as we cry ourselves to sleep, and there is something therapeutic about reading something so visceral. It's all been an incredible ride so far, and it is so fun to see everyone interacting with each other in new and unexpected ways, and I know I am not the first to say this, but I will reiterate, your Desire is such a fascinating character, and I get excited everytime they are on page.

Ahhh thank you prime! Thank you thank you! I've been building up the medical issues since *part one* so seeing it all come to fruition and people's responses to it has been amazing. I think I've mentioned before that I don't think of myself as having written something 'suspenseful' before, largely because this fic is the longest I've ever written and it's given me the chance to actually hint at things a long long time ago! So to everyone who is still reading and still engaging and enjoying themselves, thank you!

And thank you re. Desire as well! They're a hard line to walk between 'too selfish to be likeable' and 'just enough of an asshole to be worth knowing,' so I've been really glad to see the switch in some people from actively disliking Desire prior to them meeting with Daniel, to now saying things like idk Desire is the only one who's actually showing concern about Morpheus XD Because they do! All they ever wanted was their brother to love them! It's not their fault that desire has the capacity to hurt so badly! They were just...made that way. In the same way that Dream is ALSO selfish, and prideful, because dreams are a thing of the self, they're YOUR dreams, and people are almost always proud of the dreams they want to manifest.

Hello, waving at you from the break room at my job 👋🏽 (spoilers/quotes from ch 8 KSFM)

Hope you are doing well and yes, yes I’m re-reading KSFM again *sigh* I keep saying I’m going to leave comments (and I will!) but I get so drawn into the story that I press next chapter instead of writing a review 😩 I’ll do better I promise. Here’s some lines that captivated me and honestly made me so frightened of the anger Lily has towards Petunia and Vernon. She is so feral in this chapter (with absolute good reason!) and to be frank I got so mad seeing the flashbacks/scenes of how Harry was being treated while growing up with Petunia (I won’t say aunt because I believe family should never treat people that way) and Vernon. You did an absolute amazing amazing job with writing this chapter (story in general) that it’s so difficult for me to choose which lines I love because there’s so much. (I’ll be reading this on my lunch break no worries my heart is strong)

Currently on Chapter 8: What Sisters Do

“Hi Tuney,” Lily said coldly. “Did you miss me?”

“Wow,” Lily drawled sarcastically. “Nothing gets past those keen observational skills of yours, does it? Way to go, Dursley. Your mother must be so proud.”

Lily’s heart dropped when she realized what it was.

Harry was banging on the door. Trying to escape.

Wow. Just freaking WOW. Have I mentioned I love this story? Hmm? 🤔 if not, well now you know! Truly the rawness of Lily’s emotions/anger in this is so intense. Even this little line, “Hogwarts knew”— I knew Lily wouldn’t hurt her sister but seeing all of those memories, whew, I wouldn’t blame her for doing something she’d regret later on. I can’t imagine going through a coma and waking up finding out that your only son was sent to live with a sister who doesn’t care for her, much less the child. This was a tough chapter to read (imagine me reading it eight times, yes I’ve read it so much I can just close my eyes and visualize the scenes in my mind) but it was definitely necessary. It shines light on the horrific life that Harry faced, honestly this also helps show that there’s many children/babies/teens etc that are living through child abuse and neglect from family members and are trying their damn best to survive. I applaud you for this chapter, like I said it’s a tough one but truly a great chapter.

I was wondering how hard was it for you when writing chapter 8? Did you need to have a mental/emotional break from it. Or did the words just flow when writing/building the scenes?

Anywho, back to work. Will be reading on my lunch break at 2am 😩 I wish I was rich sometimes 😆

This ask was such a treat to wake up to. Thank you for taking the time to share your favorite lines from this chapter with me!!!!!! Lily is absolutely feral in this one (understandably) and it’s definitely a tough one, emotionally! It’s been so long now since I wrote this chapter (wrote it in February I think?) so I don’t fully remember, but I think I did have to take some breaks while writing the flashback scenes of Harry in this chapter. Thinking about his childhood is just so devastating, but I knew I had to write it because Lily needed to know and Harry certainly wasn’t ready to tell her. Once I got to Lily’s confrontation with Petunia, though, I sort of fell into a writing rhythm and that came together really quickly! I wasn’t initially planning on having Lily use that spell on Vernon, but the first draft where she didn’t do that just felt too…tame I think? Lily had lost most of her friends in the war, lost her parents, watched her husband die, had almost 14 years of her life stolen from her, and THEN discovered her sister and brother-in-law abused her son for years while she was asleep. That’s just SO MUCH for one person to handle and I felt that it was definitely enough to make a person…snap. I got a few (now deleted) comments saying they didn’t like that/couldn’t allow themselves to root for Lily after that (🙄) but I stand by it. Lily would do anything for Harry!

Anyway, I digress.😅

In heart to heart, i'd like to ask on what's the general plot in mind for it? Since it was intended as a valentines special, i'm assuming its King Felix taking an interest in royal gardener reader cause he has never once really interacted with reader which causes interest or is feeling lust towards the reader. If it's the latter then would it involve changing King Felix into a better person due to the reader's influence and or the reader making sure Felix makes up for being a terrible king. And i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be the lust one cause smut wouldn't happen between them i think- at least at the start (reader dislikes king felix and if felix were to ask reader to have sex with him immediately, it would put reader in a position wherein they couldn't say no for fear of execution so that would lean into dubcon/noncon that are nopes for your riles which is understandable !) Alos King Felix in an Alice in Wonderland theme is mwah mwah for originality cause its such a good concept 🤯

King Felix would like be a bit suspicious of reader and goes far to even ask if he was an accomplice of Alister (Alice in the fic) ofc reader would say no etc but the general idea is like after the confrontation, King Felix would find himself roaming the royal gardens more cuz the reader really caught his eye both in suspicion and like interest. SOMETHING LIKE THAT ?!?! it isnt fully thought out yet but thats the general idea, smut wouldn't consist of like dc or nc but rather it would be a romantic burn style, King Felix would still be notorious for being a terrible king but towards reader he is soft and slowly correct his decisions.. Like that! Chains are a must in this smut, sex in a maze hedge in the garden 🤔

It was no secret that Tony loved talking about his work. When he got excited, he tended to ramble on and on about his projects until someone stopped him.

Some people thought it was annoying. That he was a narcissist to be so proud of his work and to want to talk about it.

Rhodey remembers him doing it when they were still kids, babies compared to the others in their class. He was so small, hands flailing everywhere, almost smacking Rhodey in the face once or twice or even dozens of times because Tony never learned to rein his movements in.

He came to learn that this was a freedom, an excitement Tony never got to experience at home. His parents expected professionalism from him even before the age of ten.

It took weeks of Rhodey expressing genuine interest in his work for Tony to show even the slightest amount of enthusiasm about it.

Almost overnight, there was a change. It was like going from a drizzle to pouring rain and forgetting your umbrella at home.

Thankfully, Rhodey never minded the rain.

The older they got, the more complex Tony’s projects got, which meant there was that much more to listen to when he wanted to tell people about it.

Unfortunately, because they were older, Rhodey wasn’t home with Tony as often as he used to be. Tony ranting on phone calls never quite matched up to the real thing.

There was a period of time when they were in their 20’s where they almost never saw each other. The few times a year Rhodey was able to take off, he had to choose between going home to see his mom and sister in Philadelphia, or following Tony wherever he was.

It was never an easy decision, but phone calls started to be his saving grace. He loved listening to Tony talk, and even if he couldn’t be there, he could still hear him.

Now, they were approaching old age, but Rhodey was with Tony almost all the time.

Finally.

It was a long time coming, for them to be able to be together, happy and content in their years, and just get to relax without the pressure of deadlines and constant travel.

No deadlines meant being able to spend the days however they wanted too.

That included catching up on lab days.

Lab days where Tony would talk and talk and talk about his work, and Rhodey was happy to sit and listen.

“Well first of all, you have to understand that I’m not doing this just to prove that I can. There are real and incredibly valid reasons as for why I’m doing this.”

“Which are?”

“That asshole over at HammerTech thinks he could make an engine that can travel in space better than me.”

“Ah yes. That asshole. Otherwise known as Justin Hammer himself.”

“He doesn’t even do any of his own work, and come on now, even if he did, it’s not like he could beat my work when it comes to engines. He doesn’t even know how solar power works, let alone how to incorporate it into a seamless design that allows it to adapt based on proximity to the sun.”

“So now you’re building a new one just to, what, piss him off?”

“Yes, and I had this idea that since we’re starting to branch out with our space travel, I should make sure that the solar panels can absorb energy from all stars, not just our own sun. Which technically I know most stars have the same sort of gaseous makeup, it’s worth double checking so no one runs out of power in another planetary system, you know?”

“Makes sense. How are you getting the data though?”

“I have Carol and Valkyrie running my errands for me. They turned it into a competition, so I also asked Thor to help.”

“You want to tell me what you have so far?”

That was his ticket in. Even when Tony was clearly aching to talk about a project, that light poke into I want you to tell me all about this is the key to getting Tony to open up.

Of course, Rhodey was an active listener, adding in his own input, and asking questions when he had them. He was no slouch when it came to engineering, and sometimes, like in times like these, parts of his field were relevant.

“No, it makes perfect sense. We understand stars as gas and heat. Hydrogen and helium are part of the base makeup of our universe, along with water right? And we assumed that was a constant for a long time because all we had were the bounds of this spiral galaxy, but we can’t make those assumptions anymore.”

“Right, because we don’t know about any elements outside of our system, and what if those new elements affect the energy absorption?”

“So that’s why you sent Thor to ask Asgard’s scholars?”

“And Valkyrie to all the furthest planets she knows about because somehow she knows a lot about those, and Carol to talk to the Skrulls and any Kree allies she has left. That data should give us a better idea of what we need to adjust.”

On and on he went. At some point, he hit his stride, and Rhodey stopped responding entirely, happy to just listen.

The longer he spoke, the more it seemed like years were disappearing off his face. He seemed younger when he was happy, just talking about the things he loved.

Rhodey could see him at every age in a moment. At 14 with his hand gestures, erratic yet pointed. At 19 with the pacing. At 30 with the way his jaw never seemed to fully relaxed, always ready to brace for another fight.

And then now, in their 50s, he could see the lines around his eyes. A mix of stress and joy and the ever present reminder that they were getting older, and he was beautiful.

When Tony was close enough to him again, having planted his feet on the other side of the table he was sitting at, Rhodey reached up to catch his face in his hand.

Tony stopped abruptly, staring at him.

“You didn’t have to stop talking.”

“What are you doing?”

“Looking at you,” Rhodey answered honestly.

“Why?”

“Can’t I just look at you? You’re very handsome.”

“Thank you, but why?”

“Because I want to. Because your face fascinates me and I like looking at it.”

“What do you like so much about it that it has to interrupt my train of thought?”

“I told you you could keep talking. Do you really want to know?”

“Yes.”

“I like these,” he said, brushing over the freckles scattered over Tony’s cheeks. “You can’t see them unless you get really close, but I like them.”

“And these,” he thumbed at Tony’s lip, “these are stunning. You speak, and the world listens, and sometimes I don’t think you understand the kind of influence you have. Your words bring hope and joy, and I’m honored to listen to you talk about the things that you love.”

“But these are your loveliest feature.” He stood as he spoke, leaning across the desk to press a kiss to the edges of the lines around his eyes. “I’ve known you for so long. I know every single part of you. And these are my favorites. Because it proves that you’ve lived a full life. That you’ve been happy and sad and stressed and you’ve lived, Tony. And you are so beautiful.”

Tony gaped up at him for a moment. “Can I kiss you?”

“Of course,” Rhodey said, already closing the distance between them.

When they parted, Rhodey removed his hand from Tony’s face.

“You’re handsome too you know, even if I don’t always say it,” Tony told him.

He laughed. “Thank you, my love. You can go back to explaining the complexities of Asgardian universities now. I just had to say that.”

“I don’t even remember what I was talking about now, thank you for that.”

“You’re welcome. You were somewhere around graduation and post-undergrad opportunities I think.”

“Right, yeah, so-”

Yeah. This was one of his favorite things.
