Not quite killer frequency But I HAD TO DRAW RENFRI!
Shes my favorite character in the witcher, I hate how overlooked she is and Most of all I hate her book design. I definitely like her book representation the most, though so I wanted to kind of combine her show and Book looks!
Also most people draw her with VERY bright blue eyes when she’s described as having “ocean colored eyes”, and to me oceans are more of a dark blue or turquoise look- idk though maybe thats just me.
ANYWAY I wanna design yen next
Feel free to use in art with credit :))

so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.

I think that the one thing that I will always absolutely loathe the movies for (other than single handedly screwing up the whole plot of the story) is for making up that bullshit rule about Zeus declaring that no god can have any kind of contact with their children. That’s completely not true but now a huge chunk of people in the fandom believe that rule as canon( because most like to pick and chose what is canon and what is not, and sell head canons as being canon to the books ).
The only rules that are stated in the books relating to demigods and their parents is that 1). Gods cannot blatantly and outwardly help their demigod children during a basic quest (such as help them fight monsters or help them travel somewhere for the quest). 2). That as of the time right after WW2 the big 3 gods are not to sire any demigod children as part of their oath that they made on the River Styx (which Zeus and Poseidon definitely didn’t break ). Gods are still able to spend time with their demigod children and mortal lovers on times out side of quests. However, it’s seen as taboo mainly because the other gods use them having to much to do, and too many demigod children as an excuse to just not do anything for them. Not send them a birthday card, not a visit, and not even being claimed in most cases.
That’s giving the gods too much slack! People like to say "well, they’re gods. They’re trying their best." No they’re not! And this is what Luke’s character blatantly points out!
Hermes not even bothering to visit every once and a while? Hermes not trying to help in even any little way with Luke and May's situation? It’s a main reason why Luke becomes so angry at the gods and even thinks about saying yes to Kronos’ proposal.
And who is the example of what could’ve happened if Hermes would’ve done literally anything? Anything at all? Percy.
Percy didn’t like the gods and Poseidon very much in the beginning ( he doesn’t really like them much now but, you know) but Poseidon at least helps Percy in little ways that can fly under the radar of Zeus and the others. The Pearls to help Percy escape from the underworld? Tyson? Poseidon even crashes Percy’s birthday party ffs! Sure Poseidon isn’t there every time Percy scrapes his knee or fights a monster, but he still shows Percy that he somewhat cares about him.
All Hermes does is tell others how much he cares for Luke and "really truly loves him", but does nothing to prove to Luke that he truly cares. But it’s not just Hermes who does this, almost all of the gods do this! Why? Because they know that they can just say "oh, well I was busy and I tried my best" and others will just believe them and carry on. Or worse, they’ll take what the gods say to heart and demonize anyone who would try to oppose the gods so that it’s seen as a bad thing to hold the Gods accountable for the way they act.
And this is a clear example of the overarching theme that the gods are actually just an oppressive establishment that won’t ever really change unless it’s destroyed or overthrown.
In this essay I will…

Joe Biden when confronted with the atrocities he's willfully funding and supplying:

i can't fucking believe it's literally a year out of the election, in the middle of a genocide that the whole world is watching, and I'm seeing democrats already scolding people (some of whom literally have family being killed in occupied Palestine) to vote for Biden.
are you fucking kidding me?
not only is he backing a genocide, perpetuating lies to justify this genocide, and directing domestic resources to repress people here objecting to said genocide (which should be enough already), he was also already unpopular before now, has barely done anything to counter the rising tide of Christian fascism you're all worried about, not to mention that he's old as shit and can barely get a sentence out
just from a purely logical, facts-based perspective, anyone trying to push Biden as a viable candidate right now not only doesn't care about the lives of Palestinians, but also actively wants marginalized people here to lose liberties. as far as I'm concerned, advocating for Biden is advocating for a second Trump term, because that man absolutely cannot win in the general election.
instead of wasting time scolding progressives (AGAIN) when we point out extremely valid criticisms of Genocide Joe, put that fucking energy toward canvassing for a new Dem/progressive candidate. we're a year out from the election. if you actually care about the lives of the marginalized not just internationally, but domestically as well, you have to put some fucking effort in instead of relying on the consistently-failing strategy of yelling at voters instead of demanding representatives do their fucking jobs and represent us.

im sure its been said already but as the election draws near more and more liberals will come out of the woodwork to shame people with a conscience to give away their vote to the democrats for free. i'm already seeing posts saying "why aren't people more concerned about a trump presidency?" you want to know why? it's because people already know he's bad. everyone already knows what he is and what he's done and what he'll do. there's nothing to discuss. he's a racist despotic worm of a man. there's nothing else to say.
biden is currently president. the genocide is happening under his watch. he's the one funding isra*l and arming them; he's sidestepped congress more than once to give them weapons. by oct. 27, the biden administration already knew that "Israel was regularly bombing buildings without solid intelligence that they were legitimate military targets." the state department/biden have engaged in atrocity propaganda, cast doubt on the legitimacy of the death toll recorded by the gaza health ministry, and so on. the united states is currently in the process of trying to pin the "war in gaza" on netanyahu (see sen. schumer's speech) after months of backing blatant genocide as a means to act as if they're "doing something" about the genocide (Instead of, say, threatening to cut off all aid to israel with the condition that all hostilities in gaza, the west bank, and occupied jerusalem are halted immediately and permanently, allowing palestinians freedom to travel, allowing aid into gaza, etc etc etc.)
the long and short of it is that liberals view their own lives as being worth more than palestinians'. that's it. they'll vote for another 4 years of the guy ushering in genocide and supporting apartheid + settler colonialism because he isn't outright attacking them (despite various laws and rulings happening both at the supreme court level and at the local level all over the country that will endanger people). they'll settle for the illusion of safety and security and shame anyone with a conscience and accuse them of "supporting the republicans" when in an actual democracy you would be able to use your vote as leverage to extract concessions from those who want to be elected. that's how it's supposed to fucking work.
democrats are not owed people's vote. if biden loses, it will be biden's fault; it will be his campaign's fault; it will be the democrats' fault. trump is bad; the republicans are bad. we already know this. this is not an endorsement of either. but if democrats are too cowardly and feckless and servile to the motivations of the american empire and never do anything for their constituents then why the fuck should anyone vote for them. you want to get mad at someone, why don't you do something useful and stop worrying about team-sports with a purely selfish basis and start hounding the people in power who are supposed to serve you, the voter.

Noam Chomsky on "Lesser Evilism"
“There’s another word for lesser evilism. It’s called rationality. Lesser evilism is not an illusion, it’s a rational position. But you don’t stop with lesser evilism. You begin with it, to prevent the worst, and then you go on to deal with the fundamental roots of what’s wrong, even with the lesser evils.” [color emphasis added]
—Noam Chomsky | Scheer Intelligence podcast | Jan. 17, 2020
Chomsky further explains why it is a rational decision to vote for the lesser to two evils:
"Even if there’s core, deep problems with the institutions, there still are choices between alternatives, which matter a lot. Small differences in a system with enormous power translate into huge effects. Meanwhile, you don’t stop with a lesser evilism; you continue to try to organize and develop the mass popular movements, which will block the worst and change the institutions. All of these things can go on at once. But the simple question of what button do you push on a particular day? That is a decision, and that matters. It’s not the whole story, by any means. It’s a small part of the story, but it matters.” [color emphasis added]
——Noam Chomsky | Scheer Intelligence podcast | Jan. 17, 2020
We witnessed how "small differences in a system with enormous power translate into huge effects" in the first Trump administration, as evidenced by how Trump's decision to stack the Supreme Court with far-right justices has resulted in Roe v. Wade being overturned, the Voting Rights Act being weakened, and the Bruen decision further weakening the nation's ability to control guns.
And Trump did all that damage just in his first term, when he still had "adults" in his administration willing to rein him in.
Imagine what changes to our nation Trump could make with only sycophants in his administration who want to implement Project 2025, just for starters.
Noam Chomsky's message is important to remember as we approach the 2024 election. If you are on the left and choose to sit out the election or vote for a third party because you view Biden as a "lesser evil," you are wittingly or unwittingly supporting the "greater evil" that is Trump. We learned that the hard way in 2016. Please don't let history repeat itself. Our nation could not survive a Trump dictatorship.

Libs and Dems love using that "leopards eating my face party" meme to poke at Republican women and queers but like
Youre asking us to vote for man committing genocide overseas because you think he wouldn't do the same to you. Even though it's him opening the wallet for it to happen and he didn't give a shit when you protested and called and marched for him to stop, did he?
In fact let me see here, what he did was *checks notes* tell the collective USA to get fucked cuz he's gonna keep supporting Israel committing war crimes. Which is currently causing a massive party divide. Headlines from today:
Oh right and he did this.
After he did this already
And hows your healthcare look? Your rent? Your gas tank? Groceries? Your paycheck? Winter is coming up for the USA and how often are you gonna worry about paying the electric bill?
And he wants to use more of your taxes to keep committing war crimes, knowing full well that you're already struggling.
And you think that guy will protect you from Republicans and Fascists?
Him? He's gonna protect y'all from fascism?? The dude cutting educational funding and student work programs for this?

You're an adventurer. You've done some things in the name of good, you consider yourself a good person. You're a good person. But you're worried, worried you're going to be hurt, worried you can't save everyone. You're just a small human with a sword and armor, and you're going up agasint wyverns, and ghouls and vampires and the like. Because of this, a demon comes to you to talk.
The demon says he can help. He knows you know he's evil. But he's far from the worst evil in the mulitverse. If you had to choose between him and a tyrant dragon, or between him and an evil lich, you'd choose him every single time. He tells you he can give you the power to stop these things, if you just pledge yourself to him, you won't have to do much, just let him help you.
And for awhile you have his power. You fight with a firey sword and eldrich armor. With him, you save people you could never save before, and slain evils you never could have. There are some sacrifices, he tells you to do things, small inconsequential things, little rituals that don't mean much to you. This is fine, it's normal, adventurers have done this before.
As time goes on your demon tells you there are certain people who you can't fight, they're his freinds, and you consider that pretty ok. They can't be that bad if he works with you. This is normal and ok. Your skin is turning pale, and your eyes are changing color, but that's normal and excusable, you just tell people your family if further north then they're really from and they think you've always been like this.
You start to have freinds who stay away from you, they say your going down the wrong path. But they're the real evil ones, you need this power to do good, they're basically telling you that you shouldn't be doing good. You know your demon is evil, you're just making a sacrifice for the greater good. You're dressing more like someone who follows him now, but it's good quality armor and clothing so you don't mind. Sometimes there are people who he tells you that you can't save or can't help, you feel bad about it, really bad, but you tell yourself that there's no saving them anyway, the alternative would be not having the power to save them. This is normal and ok.
Eventually he starts telling you that you need to kill things for him. You assume they're people who need to he killed, and don't think about it often. This demon may be a demon but he's done so much good for you, his enemies can't be good people. He takes you to his realm a lot to show you off, to show how good you've been, you honestly feel kind of proud. You're too pale to pass as human now, and your eyes are a deep red, even your teeth are getting sharper, you just say your from an uncommon race when people ask. None of your old freinds talk to you. You know you have to be doing good, if this were wrong there would be a lot of evil you'd have to face in yourself.
You've relocated to the demon's plane now to live with him. He sends you out to other realms to kill people for him, you don't have time to ask who they are, he even let's you consume the blood of the people who you kill, it makes you feel good when you do. When you're not wearing the armor gives you, he just has you wear a loincloth and jewels. He pets your head sometimes and it feels good, and he shows you off to the other demons and you feel nice and pretty. He'll carve little symbols into your white skin, and has you wear a little color for him, this is normal, you're happy to serve him. He does what he wants with your body, but you feel ok about it, you don't have to worry about moral choices anymore, your demon always tells you what's the right decision, and all you have to do is go along with it.

The quickest path to true evil is to forget what evil is.
In all of our lives, there will be moments when there are only bad options to choose from. The easiest path is to make excuses. to say the least evil option is good. The more you say it, the more you believe it. And before you know it… You don't see it as evil anymore. You stop looking for other options.
