Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

I see Mikoto as a physical affection type of guy tbh- Like, he’s still really sweet! Always nice with his words, but he’ll like randomly hug you from behind, hold your hand, a lot of things that most regular couples do. 

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Well… in terms of like, actual messes, he tries to be clean! Mikoto doesn’t particularly even want to hurt anybody. He’s not ALL bad…

With that said, sometimes, he has to. If someone is trying to steal you away and doesn’t heed his warnings, or if they hurt you, he has no choice but to put an end to that! 

If someone hurts you, he’ll be more brutal.. not above torturing them if they’ve gone that far. 

If it’s because he’s jealous, he’s a bit more nice. He doesn’t make it too painful. Maybe a blow to the head, a fast-acting poison… 

After all, he can’t blame them for falling for you just like he did! It’s impossible not to~

They just don’t get to take you away from him. Never. 

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

Nono! He’s a sweetie:c Mikoto honestly would just treat you with genuine respect and love,, be like, he loves you! He knows he’s already done something awful by abducting you and is sympathetic. Prob tries to make it as comfortable as possible. 

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

Well… he’s definitely do a lot of hugging and stuff like that… but the furthest he’d go without (implied or direct) consent is just a peck on the lips<3

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

So here’s the thing- he’s delusional as fuck. He’ll just treat your relationship like he’d treat any regular one. He’s never invulnerable around you, but there’s definitely times he’s more vulnerable. Don’t hurt him please the silly:(

So confused and betrayed. You love him, so why are you fighting him? He only wants what’s best for you!

Nah bro just acts like his normal self but like,, slightly more happy???

Just approaching regularly, he has no issue going up and talking to them! When confessions are involved though, he has a much harder time… probably would opt for a love letter. A long, well-written one with little doodles on it !!

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

Lmao nope

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

He kinda just.. wouldn’t..? If he got really pissed somehow, he might like, lock them in their room or something… but he avoids using violence when possible. 

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

Not many! When he abducts them, he’s strict at first, but eventually even lets them go out so long as he’s there with them. 

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

He’s incredibly patient. He doesn’t get angry very easily, and when he does, he calms down fairly quick. This is assuming he doesn’t switch to Orekoto, of course…

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

Haha no

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

Oh, absolutely. He’d feel like actual shit about it. Even with all the gaslighting himself to try and justify it, he knows taking someone captive like this is awful. And especially for such selfish reasons… that’s why he tries making it up to them by spoiling them! 

He won’t let them go though. There’s no going back once you kidnap someone. 

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

Hm……. I’d say probably just emotional dependency and bad attachment issues. He just happened to get a bit too attached to s/o.

Oh, he hates it- just seeing them sad or afraid breaks his heart. He doesn’t know what to do, so he just tries his best to comfort them with words.

Give his darling some MOTHERFUCKING FREEDOM-

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

His willingness to trust. As I mentioned earlier, he gives a lot of freedom, and that only increases as his trust in them builds. Once he’s convinced they do, in fact, love him, and won’t try and leave, he’ll begin letting them go out alone for short periods of time so long as they let him track their location. You can already see how that could turn out in an unsatisfactory way for him…

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

Nope. Or at least, it would take a lot for him to lash out and do so. And even then, it wouldn’t be that bad. 

Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

He doesn’t really worship them per se… but he will totally go to extreme lengths to win them over. No amount of time or money or effort is too much if it means a chance at winning his darling over <3

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

Depending on outside factors like other people pursuing them, it could be anywhere between a few months and a couple years. 

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

I imagine a time where John is running out of ways to save Mikoto, because killing people only brings more harm than good. But then, he started noticing you—Oh, sweet little Darling You, John knows how deeply enamoured Mikoto is with you, hopelessly in love but never having the courage to be more than just friends.

He knows how much Mikoto thinks about you, how sickly obsessed he is with you, and though it is irritating to hear his thoughts about you on a daily basis—You were one of the few sources that John had to rely on to keep Mikoto’s stress levels low. When he’s coming back from a particularly exhausting day at work, all he needed was to hear your call, and he’d be motivated to go next day if it meant seeing you again. When he’d get scolded by his boss or gets bullied by his co-workers, you’d step in and defend him, and he falls even more in love with you. Honestly, John doesn’t know if you’re a blessing or a curse in disguise because along these pros, he would also notice emotions that were once dormant within Mikoto, such as jealousy.

But it was wholesome in a way, it’s like John is watching Mikoto’s life like a television show and things would’ve been okay because Mikoto is not that confrontational about his feelings…But the guy’s affection for you was not just a teeny-little crush. It’s genuine, pure love—Mikoto is absolutely smitten with you. He really wishes to be with you for the rest of his life and John slowly realizes how that, too, is another form of stress. Mikoto doesn’t get jealous easily, but he does have a lot of wishful/harmful thinking that he bottles up inside about you—Like how wishes that the guy you were laughing with earlier was him and such. He wishes that he was your boss, rather than a mere co-worker, because you’ll be taking orders from him and him alone.

John watches how Mikoto descends into madness from being too in love with you, watching him cry every night from all the thoughts piling up in his head and how much he wants to be with you. It’s unbearable to see him like that, speaking as a protector from the inside.

He can’t do anything to save himself, so that’s why John has to step up and make the poor guy’s dream a reality.

John doesn’t wait for an opportunity, he’s a lot more impatient than Mikoto is, so he creates one for himself by being the one to bring you to him. It was late at night, he knows where you live because Mikoto obsessively had your schedule written out and memorized, but would be plagued with guilt and fear to even try to stalk you. With that information, John doesn’t bother to hide within your residence, he was equipped with a bat as a weapon and you even tried to strike up a conversation with him when you caught him. He remembered there was fear and hesitation in your voice that night, but still chose to believe that “Mikoto” was here for good reason, because you two are friends. Unfortunately, you had no idea that you were talking to someone who had the same face as Mikoto, but doesn’t carry the same gentleness he has.

From the very beginning, John had an idea that you knew that there was something different about him, you’re good at reading people after all—That’s what made Mikoto fall in love with you in the first place. You tried to ask him what was wrong, but to no avail. John has nothing to say to you, but he needed you for his benefit. He was deadly calm, enough to make you let your guard down for a second, but that proved to be fatal, as before you knew it, John already had his bat in the air.

You probably woke up with a stinging pain in your head, but John made sure that he hit you somewhere that wouldn’t pose a serious threat to your life—Mikoto would be sad if he finds out you gravely injured. You haven’t been to Mikoto’s place just yet, so you were confused about your surroundings, looking around everywhere with panic in your eyes. But the most concerning to you was the ropes the bounded your whole body together, with your arms behind your back. John put a whole lot of effort on making the ropes as intricate as possible, but as long as you don’t move too much, you wouldn’t have to worry about long-lasting abrasions on your skin.

Just when you were slowly getting a hold of your situation, you hear the door open and instinctively, you braced yourselves for whoever it was. But widened your eyes to see a familiar co-worker…But somehow, he looks and feels different than he is usually. The lack of smile on his face was enough to be proof of that.

John was never blessed with the ability to keep things calm and collected for his victims, he prefers to go for the kill with little to no words needed. You were no exception to that rule as almost immediately, the first words he tells you were that of threats. It may be reckless, unwise, and crude, but it did a wonderful job on shutting you up from asking many, many annoying questions. As expected, tears began to fill your eyes as you beg for your life, not knowing what you did that might’ve upset him, but still asked for what you can do to be freed…John requests for one simple thing.

“I want you to do everything in your power to reassure me that everything is okay.”

Of course, such a request confused the hell out of you, but you dare not to ask yet another question. It didn’t look like he was pranking you, who would go this far for a prank anyway? The bat that was resting on your shoulder was enough to tell you how serious he really is, and it reminds you that one wrong move could cost you a broken bone or two.

“Trick me with your body, and if you can’t something as simple as that—Then, I don’t need to keep you alive anymore.”

It was only then that you realized that you may or may not be talking to a different person—One that is vastly different from the Mikoto you knew. You were at a complete lost, paling at the request, but nod your head anyways. Anything to keep you alive for at least a little longer.

When you saw your co-worker again, Mikoto was back—Back in a way that didn’t look like he even went away in the first place. This was the Mikoto you knew, the one who panics easily but still kept a smile on his face despite being under pressure. But in this case, he was in the verge of tears when he found you at your state, immediately asking questions of what happened and resorted into helping you out.

You watched him for a moment as he moves behind you, still bewildered by his quick change of personality—Before the situation finally hits you hard and you understand what the request truly meant. Yelling at Mikoto to stop doing what he was doing, the guy stumbles back in awe but you quickly took hold of the situation for yourself. Seeing how different he is now, there was a moment of hesitation in your mind, a moment where you wanted to tell Mikoto the truth of what happened…But looking deep into his eyes, you could see someone else in there. He was judging you to do the right thing.

You were going to die if you tell Mikoto the truth.

So, with a heavy gulp, you smiled at the Mikoto in front of you to somehow ease his worries. You were shaking terribly, and sweat covered your forehead, but you made it look like the fear was part of the act in itself. Nervously laughing, you tried your best to convince him that everything Mikoto was seeing, including the ropes and the emotions, was something that you had planned for the two of them. Do you not remember? You passed out because you drank too much, but here we are! You smiled widely, replacing your fear for excitement and thrill.

When Mikoto looks conflicted, you resorted into using your body just as John recommended you to do so. It was your idea of seduction, swaying your legs and controting your body in a way that Mikoto could see your exposed skin. You even attempted to tease him, leaning in closer within the confinements of the rope until you were just an inch closer to his red face.

His will was crumbling, even you could see that, but it would’ve been nice if he does it faster—Or else, that someone inside Mikoto might come back and kill you first. I loved you for so long, you confessed a lie that made Mikoto’s eyes widen in disbelief. Somehow, you felt really bad about yourself, but you still encouraged him to move his hands around you and do whatever he wants. You weren’t even aware that you could do such a shameful thing, but people can really do the craziest things when faced before death.

Mikoto, who had been accumulating stress in this past few days, couldn’t possibly resist laying his hands on you and just as John planned, he soon had you pushed down on the bed by the very moment you gave him your approval. He was shy, but he devours your lips with a deep kiss and your eye twitched as you realized that you have to respond back, just as hungry as he was. He takes advantage of your bounded body, his hands tracing what was emphasized by the tight ropes and you resisted a cry.

To John, you are nothing but a vessel for Mikoto to let his stress and lust out—So, you have to act like it.

He loved you. You thought back on all the times his hands have strangled, beat, killed. You thought about how not once, they harmed you. Always, they softly held you. He loves you.

"I.. I dont want to leave you, Mikoto."

You started crying, trying to grab onto him.

Great. He didnt even have to convince you. You were already back in his arms.

"Then why did you try?" He wrapped his arms around you, you had a feeling they werent going to let go.

"I was scared.."

He looked at you, waiting for you to continue. "Come on, tell me."

You knew you couldnt hide from him. How were you supposed to hide a baby ?

You took his hand, and dragged it to your stomach.

"Promise you wont be mad..?"

"As long as I can have you."

You had a feeling he had began to caught on, but would make you say it. "Mikoto im.. pregnant."

His eyes widened slightly, but he was quick to grin and embrace you closer.

"And you tried hiding this from me?" His grip on you tightened, the added pressure just made you feel more at ease. "Didnt mean too, Koto.. Just panicked, I promise, I wont leave again ! Please ! We can be a happy family !"

MIKOTO KAYANO VER.

Mikoto is good at breaking and entering, quietly sneaking his way through your house as he sits on the foot of your bed, tying your slim wrists with rope before covering your mouth with a towel laced with Rohypnol.

“Shh, you're safe with me.. no one is gonna hurt you again, I promise..” He’d whisper sweet nothings into your ears before carefully placing you in the trunk of his car, examining your sleeping face as he did.

You’d wake up in his basement, a blindfold over your eyes and gag in your mouth as you laid on a bed he had specially picked out just for you, your hands and ankles bound at the foot and head of the bear as you struggled, the rope starting to burn your skin.

“Don't struggle bunny, it won't hurt if you stop moving~” He’d chuckle, running his fingers up and down your sides and stomach, carefully removing the blind from your face, a smile covering his face as he watched you.

“There's my little bunny~ Now, if I take the gag off you have to promise me you won't scream. Nod if you understand okay?” You’d nod, feeling his hands carefully wrap around the back of your head pulling it off, your mouth felt dry, hoarse and cold, you could barely see straight.

“That's a good bunny~ Let me loosen these..” He'd whisper into your ear, straddling you as he undid the ropes on your wrists, pulling the rope off little by little, careful not to burn or bruise your precious skin. “You're burned.. I told you not to struggle, bunny.”

He’d grip your wrists tightly, peppering kisses to the rope, burning parts of your skin softly, rubbing them carefully to rid you of the pain. “You’re going to stay here with me whether you like it or not.”

You’d gone to College with him, for the whole 4 years you had been his roommate, once you graduated you'd lost contact.

Yet there you were, your feet and hands bound by zip ties, your head on someone's lap as something stroked your hair.

You’d wake up in Fuuta’s arms, his fingers playing with your hair, unable to speak. “Oh, you're awake princess! He’d smile, playing with the zip tie he had around your neck, using it to pull your face closer to his.

“Finally princess~ You left me all alone! For a moment I thought you wouldn't wake up!” He’d giggle, pushing you down onto the bed and hugging you with all his might.

The smell of rubbing alcohol and energy drinks filled your nose, he’d sigh, taking a few more zip ties and tying you to the bed with them.

“Now princess, you're going to stay here with me for the rest of forever,” He’d start, hugging you again before pulling out a small pocket knife, “But if you try to leave me I’ll have to hurt you! I don't wanna do that!~”

He’d cut your neck a little, licking and kissing the blood on your neck before covering it with a tissue. “You're mine now princess, don't make this harder than it has to be.”

mikoto wasn’t sure how he became aware of your existence, and frankly, he didn’t care. he just needed you.

putting out his cigarette, he bid the other two members of the smoker’s club adieu. whenever he thought about you, all of his thoughts became jumbled and tangled together. anger, frustration, elation, confusion, horror, arousal, and many other things tangled up into one feeling he liked to associate with just… you. it was better than feeling terrified of himself or entirely apathetic. once he was behind his cell door, he immediately locked it and shucked his outermost layers.

he didn’t pay much attention to what he was doing, although he knew it was his hand wrapped around his dick rather than the feeling of being inside of someone else- inside of you. or what he imagined you in particular to feel like.

today, he pictured himself breaking you. tears streaming down your face from being edged to your absolute limits to being overstimulated, sort of like a cycle. perhaps it was because he was simply in a mean mood currently. he whimpered out his nickname for you as he imagined your voice calling out weakly for him, a small whine pitching in his throat. he covered his mouth and soon he was through; the first round of it anyways.

Thank you so much for introducing Milgram to me! I never would’ve found it otherwise. Especially Mikoto, love his character and mv as well as trying to figure out if he has a split personality and is truly unaware or is just feigning innocence and is completely aware (which I honestly find more interesting). Other than being the perfect chracter to “Yanderized” lmao Mikoto is such an interesting character to me, especially because his music video is probably the most obvious yet, more complex to decipher?? Because it feels like the creators are already giving you the answer to his backstory, but there’s still something…missing. Here’s my take on him—Also this is just my own theory, so nothing is confirmed, but I’ll warn you about spoilers anyway :

Not so much as a Split Personality, but I think he’s pulling a “Yuno from Mirai Nikki” here lmao

If you watched Mirai Nikki, then you’re probably familiar with the scene where Yuno was digging this giant-ass hole in her backyard but then—Forgets why she was doing it the first place?? And then, it becomes this reoccuring thing throughout the show where she does something crazy, and completely forgets about it the next day?? Yeah, that. I think Mikoto is pulling something like that.

A thing about Mikoto that I’ve recently noticed is that he looks up at his job in such a high regard, almost something that is more important than his life—Going as far as saying that he won’t forgive us if he ever loses his job because of this experiment and I think that’s taking a toll on him. He pressures himself (or the company he works in) to do better, and when he gets too stressed out, what do you think happens? He snaps—And I think that’s where the other side of him comes out to relieve his stress by bashing people’s head with a bat. But because this is an action caused by intense stress, his brain just…rejects that memory as real thus, him not being able to remember anything about it at all.

So, yeah—I’m on the side of the spectrum where I believe that he genuinely doesn’t remember what he did, because his brain just simply…doesn’t want to—Haha…That’s not to say that he’s not guilty though lmao

Anyway—WATCH MILGRAM. ITS REALLY GOOD.
