The Beginning

First off, the start of your relationship... wasn't exactly a romantic affair.

One day whilst you were hanging out, she just blurted out, "Hey, wanna go out sometime?"

And so you did.

Your first date was just her dragging you along to one of the Drifters' games.

After her team (obviously) won, she'd take you out somewhere to eat in celebration.

Afterwards, she took you home and the two of you did the whole stand-outside-the-door-awkwardly thing, until she finally got up the courage to kiss you.

When the two of you separated, she picked you up (quite literally) and carried you inside, throwing you onto the couch and immediately jumping on top of you, kissing you again.

And again.

The Relationship

First of all, you're gonna be dragged to all of her games from now on.

She wants to impress you, of course, but she also just wants to know that you're there for her.

She is extraordinarily fond of PDA.

She does not care if you're having a conversation, she'll walk up behind you and go "'sup, dork?" while putting you in an affectionate headlock.

If you two are somewhere private, she'll just push you up against a locker and start kissing you.

She gets jealous very easily. If she sees another person making heart eyes at you, she'll hug you from behind and glare at them until they back away. This usually leads to cuddles.

Speaking of which, she is a very good cuddler. Feeling her wrap her arms around you when you both get home from school is an instant stress remover.

Dates for you two will usually consist of some form of physical activity, whether that be hiking, working out, or just strolling around town and talking.

Your first "I love you" is not gonna come easily. Emily isn't good with all this romance stuff, so she's awkward when it comes to the more intimate and mushy stuff.

You'll likely be the one who says it first.

The Drifters have just won a game, and she comes up to you, all excited.

Without thinking, you blurt out that you're proud of her, and you love her.

When she hears those three words, her brain short-circuits for a brief moment before a massive grin breaks onto her face, and she tackles you into a hug, blurting out that she loves you too.

A Somehow Long Post About 2 Lost English Dubs of an Anime Adaptation of The Wind in the Willows Nobody Heard About

Hi! My name is Pinkoctopede and I’m a huge fan of The Wind in the Willows. While the book is a classic with many adaptations, what most people don’t know is that there was an anime adaptation made in the 90s. I’ll give a brief summary of what the anime’s is in general but I’m gonna go more in depth with its lost english dubs. And I’ll put it under the keep reading section so I won’t clog anything up.

What it is:

Tanoshii Willow Town (楽しいウイロータウン) is an anime series made in 1993 with 26 episodes lasting around 20 minutes. The first 3 episodes follows the original book but after that, it focuses on the other adventures of Ratty, Mole, and Toad which noticeably, they are now kids with Badger still being an adult.

Lost dub #1 (Saban):

In 1996, Saban Entertainment decided to get the rights to the show and dub it in English with some now known voice actors (Kathleen Barr, Janyse Jaud, etc). It only aired on Network 10 in Australia as a segment on a TV show called Cheez TV for 2 months from December 2000 to January 2001. Outside from the end credits, it’s completely lost with so little information nor footage.

2 other languages have dubbed the Saban version: Spanish (Pueblo de Sauces) only have 13 out of 26 episodes on Youtube while German (Abenteuer in den Weiden) is completely lost with only the audio of the opening theme being available. Strangely, German did release 3 cassette tapes which is basically the only home media release Saban has but still lost.

Lost dub #2 (Enoki Films USA):

Before Saban, Enoki Films attempted to dub Willow Town in 1996 but differently: instead of doing the whole series, they took the first few episodes and edited into a 75 minute movie simply titled The Wind in the Willows. Little is known about the dub since it was never released on VHS nor DVD. All that is out there is the opening theme on Youtube which was taken from the Greek copy of the film.

The only confirmed place it did came out however was on a defunct streaming service called Reeltime.com. Currently, its other locations is at 2 libraries in Malaysia as VCDs and Library of Congress.

Conclusion:

So my main goal is to find these dubs although it has been extremely difficult. Saban only aired for a short period of time on top that I’m not Australian and I cannot go to Malaysia nor LoC to get the Enoki Films USA version. It’s the shame because I do love the anime but it is hard to find a good way to watch it due to its general obscurity. Hell, even the Japanese dub is lost with no way to watch episodes nor getting the VHS tapes online.

You don’t have to but I really do appreciate help or at least spread some word about it (because let’s be real: spending a literal year looking for lost media and making little progress is exhausting).

If you actually read all this, thank you so much! This has been a lost media search of mine for a long time and I really do love it when people do hear me out despite not sounding as cool as other searches like Nintendo’s Slamfest 1999 or Clockman. Take care! 💝

Can you please talk about Roy Mustang for me? I'd love to hear your interpretation of him? What do you think of him in 03 vs brotherhood/manga?

So to preface I have to say that I don't like Brotherhood in general and my opinions on that play a part in my opinion of Roy. He's my absolute favorite character like I have a VHS tape from like 2005 where I took my sister's VCDs and literally took up half the tape of a Roy montage lol. But these are my opinions and why I think he has the superir portrayl in 03.

Keep in mind though I have seen Brotherhood once, havent read the manga in years, but ive seen 03 and COS SO SO SO many times.

So I feel like the overall theme of Brotherhood is "military and armestris good. Ishvalain immigrants bad." And the military in 03 is painted so much differently. It's more realistic and they drive home the point that the military fucked up and show us that Roy really has not been a great person. I mean in 03 we see him try to kill himself twice over the fact that he's killed so many people and especially he's haunted by the innocent children. When he kills Winrys parents he realzies hes become so absolutely immoral and rotten that he has killed his own people and gets turnt and tries to take his own life. He's shady, there's that scene where he threatens to blackmail child Edward/expose him and Al (it's early in the season but I can't quite remember what for) yet he tries to shelter them from how harsh reality is. He thinks by becoming Furher everything will be okay now, he will be forgiven, and the country will be better. Long story short he has his own agenda that sounds great on paper but in reality, at least in the first like half of the series, is impossible.

The growth of his character in 03 is huge and they kind of stealthily plant the seeds early on. He's no longer gunning for the position of Furher because of his own selfish reasons, he's actively seeking revenge for Hughes which makes him start to unravel.

Obviously the character of Pride/Bradley deviates from the source in 03. Actually all the homonculous and their personal foes are directly related to the people they're fighting. Edward/Sloth etc. The whole relationship of Bradley and Roy and also the characterization of Bradley as Pride is very deliberate - Roy fights Bradley and is severely wounded/almost dies fighting Pride. The entire series Roy has so much pride and so much of an ego that it's destroying him. He is literally forced to face his own deadly sin and to kill his own ego.

Ultimately he kills Bradley but in doing so his life unravels and he does not get to be the hero, the savior, the one that fixes everything which his pride previously convinced him he was capable of doing. In COS we find him isolated, depressed and a shell of his former self, waiting for Edward to return, crippled and alone. Even by the end when he saves the day in the fancy little air balloon, he still cannot protect Edward and looses him forever. He looses absolutely everything and the director of COS even said in some kind of interview or something that after the movie Roy still would never hold the same power he once did and have that same respect. So at the end of the day - he has thrown everything he's ever had away for good because of his pride. He has no happy ending. He redeems himself to the viewer (unless you're me and the second you first see him go 😍 zaddy I can fix him) but by then he is too far gone - he is both an awful person and a martyr. We know his heart ultimately is in the right place by the end but his war crimes and atrocities still exist and his failure is still very evident. If you've never seen it, look up the 10 of Swords tarot card - while I'm pretty sure they did not purposely do it, the meaning of the card and ESPECIALLY the imagery of the original card is so so accurate and I think the best summary of his character. Look up Labyrnthos or something like that their summary of it is the best.

So I feel like in 03 he has far more depth and his character arc is so, so, much richer.

To discuss this I also have to get into his relationship with the Elric brothers, mainly Edward. He and Edward are parallels of each other - both of them are arrogant and oblivious and in trivial pursuit of righting their wrongs, when in reality there is nothing they can do to rectify either situation or take back the damage they've done. Roy obviously does care for the Elric brothers but does not know how to show it properly and ends up hurting them more than helping them, he basically put them into a world that destroys them - Edward loves his brother but can't outwardly emote it in the same way Al can and ends up literally destroying Al's everything when he convinces him to help attempt their mom's life.

Edward hates people who use others for their own personal gain or for selfish reasons, he hates arrogance and hatred itself. He rightly identifies all these qualities in Roy who he appears to hate, when in reality Edward tried to bring back his mom knowing there's a chance he and his brother could die, he is also extremely arrogant and has no problem using all the militaries money and resources to do what he wants yet he cannot fathom why Roy, who sticks his neck out for him many times, gets angry with him or why some Ishvallans people are offended that he is in the military.

They have some distantly codependent relationship because they both realize they need each other - Roy needed to recruit Edward initially to show off, he also realizes Edward knows valuable information he uses to complete his goal, but also sees someone who needs some form of guidance and discipline. Edward needs Roy so he can access the power and resources he provides but he also at the end of the day, after leaving the military and coming back randomly and literally going AWOL, Roy (AND his team) does not abandon him.

So knowing that Edward is loyal, Roy assumes in the last episode when he runs into Edward on the street looking fine as hell, that Edward will join him in his battle with pride. Roy has to go into battle now alone which it seems he didn't apparently take into account and because of this he barely beats Bradley and almost dies. Edward finally accepts that Roy isn't 100% gutted and sees the good in him and finally becomes aware that the military he chose to join is corrupt, therefore so is he - he doesn't think what Roy is going to do will solve anything yet he goes and fights Dante to basically accomplish the same thing. You finally see that deep down they did always care about each other. When they say goodbye it is like the completion of both character arcs, at least for the series itself.

In COS they still follow the same path in that, yes, did they accomplish their goals? For sure, but now Roy -who succesfully killed Bradley - is demoted and exciled and miserable, and Edward -who got his brothers body restored - is alone and has absolutely nobody who understands him and is stuck that way for life.

This relates to my over feelings about Roy and his character arc because it adds to the depth of it. Their relationship is integral to it and would not be the same at all without it. I didnt talk much about Brotherhood because its been so long I don't want to mess up the facts on, but the one thing that plays into my opinion is that in BH Roy does get what he wants and I dont like that. Roy does not desevre that unfortunately and it is way boring because its like.....oh....ok? What a total shocker -_- VS Wow after ALL this, he fails even though we all think hes going to succeed at first. I also like how Edward is portrayed in 03 way better and all that ties into it to but that's another topic itself.

Vent post abt medical bullshit

Me: I have VCD. My vocal cords are tightening and blocking my airways. The only things that help are ketamine and benzos (and alcohol) because they physically relax my vocal cords

GP: sounds like anxiety, talk to your psych team

Psych: have you tried deep breathing? Also no benzos not even short term and ket is controlled so I can’t give you more. Also drinking bad :((( oh did you try CBD and meditation?

Asthma/breathing specialist: meds don’t help VCD, you’re lying to get drugs. Just see a speech language pathologist

SLP: I can see you in many months. All we will do is practice deep breathing. Until then just hang on :/

Me: I feel like I’m suffocating during attacks. They last two hours a day on average. It’s like trying to breathe through a cocktail straw. I’ve given up everything I love and everything I need to do. Can’t even fold laundry without getting winded. I hate alcohol but if that’s my only option I’m gonna become an alcoholic

Why is Faye Wong still the most fashionable diva today? She represents the golden years of 90s fashion (2022)

If there are no important matters, I will not see anyone~

Faye Wong has been living in the Mainland for the past several years and has rarely attended public events. But the mysterious goddess of fashion appeared a few days ago as the spokesperson for a lingerie brand's new advertisement . The 52-year-old wore a light yellow top with light makeup. She was praised by netizens for still being ethereal, elegant, and in good condition. As long as there is Faye Wong, any product can create an intellectual and refined sense of luxury. Let's review the refined style of this queen of an era.

Faye Wong: The fashion queen whose appearance is her advantage

Previously, I once wrote that Shirley Kwan was the "substance" fashionable female icon of the Chinese music industry and described Faye Wong as the "surface". I love listening to both these female singers, but their attitudes are indeed different. Faye Wong's style is mainly due to the collective efforts of beauty artists such as Titi Kwan and makeup artist Zing. She herself obviously makes it seem effortless. Furthermore her serene voice and a tall, thin body gives her innate advantages.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, anyone with eyes could see that Faye Wong (Wong Jing Man, also known as Shirley) who just came to Hong Kong from Beijing was 108,000 miles away from fashion [trends]. Her old-fashioned appearance and her background from the mainland were also disliked by her snobby manager Leslie Chan, who tried to sell her to Lo Ta-yu's Rock Records.

Fortunately, that snobby society taught this girl to grow rapidly. In Hong Kong, where opportunities were everywhere, she quickly found a good judge of talent in the golden manager Katie Chan, and changed her name back to Wong Fei. Although the Faye Wong of "A Woman Who is Easily Hurt" did not completely transform into a cool queen in terms of song and style. But at least the album cover of "Coming Home" consciously played with her Beijing identity.

I remember listening to the cassette tape of "The Most Exciting Concert" at home when I was a child. Although I wasn't really a fan of Faye Wong, it was indeed a refreshing experience. Before the age of 5 or 6, I may have only listened to nursery rhyme cassettes or songs on the radio. It is likely that Ah Fei was the first female singer that I consciously listened to. She was completely modern and free-spirited ("No More Games"), psychedelic ("Dream Person"), playful ("Lau Fei Fei" and "Exit"), depressed and distressed ("Chesspiece")… It took a few years before I saw the concert VCD. It turned out that the woman with the ethereal and beautiful voice looked so quirky in styles designed by Tomas Chan. The super long sleeves, dreadlocks, crystal tears makeup. Certainly not the kind of style that my aunt knew how to appreciate, but she would always recognize and sing along to "Thousands of Words"!

When watching "Chungking Express" again, William Chang styled her light and easy with short hair and a simple yellow tee. It highlights her unique neuroticness. Alas, with a small face, big watery eyes and also a tall, thin model figure (174cm!), navigating edgy fashion is naturally easy. I won't make a comparison and I may be in trouble with fans of Sammi, Kelly, and Sally, but the tastemakers in the 90s agreed that Faye Wong had a rare "avant-garde" fashion sense. It was indeed her innate condition that made her win.

90s: Her style represents the last "golden era" of music

In order to prevent readers from thinking that I am a snobby senior, I have to declare that the "golden years" I am speaking about here are not referring to good or bad songs in the music industry, but rather the market that was large and the production budgets that were indeed relatively generous, so Faye's fashion legend could be achieved.

When there is a super model that can sing and is in the prime of her life, if you are bold like Titi Kwan and makeup artist Zing, there is no reason not to put the most avant-garde Japanese, Belgian, and British fashion on Faye Wong. Marjan Pejoski's ostrich, Jeremy Scott's stilettos, Vivienne Westwood's miniskirts, Rochas by Olivier Theyskens' vintage and avant-garde evening wear all became her concert costumes. It could not be labeled as a fashion show, but it's a fashion show concert.

The look of her album covers were also amazing. In "Faye Wong 1997", she wore a Yohji Yamamoto 1997 F/W black and white harlequin coat, Alexander McQueen's trousers, and the zipper at the knee pulled down to reveal the black stockings inside. The sexy semi-sheer shirt and jeans in "Only Love Strangers" are from Helmut Lang; the Dior newspaper print dress by John Galliano and fishnet stockings in "Fable".

Titi Kwan and Zing have successfully maintained Ah Fei's coolness and added a bit of grandeur at her concerts. As long as the Heavenly Queen maintains her model figure, I believe that in another ten years, Fei will still be very fashionable.

Many people thought that CELINE invited her as a friend of the brand in the Phoebe Philo era. But in fact, Faye Wong was already affiliated with the brand as early as around 2005 during the Roberto Menichetti era. Fei, who is immortal, is truly well-deserving [of this affiliation] and could materialize the ethereal woman in Phoebe's heart into reality.

Deutschland ist seit 2005 (CO2-) insolvent

Reiche Länder leben auf Kosten der Armen

Helmut Selinger stellt in seinem Artikel "Was aus dem Kohlenstoff-Bankrott reicher Länder folgt" auf Telepolis fest, dass die reichen Industrieländer ihre ihnen zustehnenden CO2 Emissionen schon längst aufgebraucht haben. Denn wieviel CO2 ein Land erzeugt lässt sich sehr zuverlässig feststellen und wird auch für alle Staaten öffentlich publiziert.

Würde man das globale CO2-Rest-Budget ab 1990 gerecht auf alle Länder aufteilen, so ergeben sich leicht Mehr- und Minderverbraucher, die dann ihren Mehrverbrauch durch Zahlungen an die Minderverbraucher auszugleichen hätten.

Wie die VCD Zeitschrift fairkehr in ihrer letzten Ausgabe feststellte, liegt der "Erdverbrauchstag" für Deutschland inzwischen bei Anfang Mai, d.h. Deutschland verbraucht im Jahr 2,9-mal so viel, wie eigentlich verfügbar ist. Dieser Diebstahl muss den anderen Staaten ersetzt werden.

Zurück zur Betrachtung von Helmut Selinger, der "nur" die CO2-Erzeugung betrachtet. Danach wurde der CO2-Anteil

für die USA bereits im Jahr 1999 komplett aufgebraucht!

für Deutschland bereits im Jahr 2005 komplett aufgebraucht!

für China das CO2-Rest-Budget seit 1990 im Jahr 2023 aufgebraucht sein.

für Indien das CO2-Rest-Budget seit 1990 erst im Jahr 2084 aufgebraucht sein.

Fazit: Wir leben auf Kosten anderer auf der Welt und wollen nicht dafür aufkommen!

Bei dieser Betrachtung ist die tagtägliche Gaseinsparungsdiskussion und die "Alternative" des Kohle-Verbrennens ein Treppenwitz der Geschichte. Eine Lösung kann sich nur in den bei den Klimakonferenzen immer wieder diskutierten und dann verschobenen CO2-Ausgleichszahlungen liegen. Nur ökonomischer Druck kann die Industriestaaten zum Handeln zwingen.

Diese versuchen den Preis und vor allem das Inkrafttreten solcher Zahlungen nach hinten zu schieben und vergessen dabei, dass jede Verzögerung ungleich höhere Kosten durch Dürre, Feuer, Starkregen und andere "Wetterereignisse" erzeugt. Telepolis zählt die diskutierten Preisvorstellungen so auf:

Das Umweltbundesamt (UBA) z.B. empfiehlt, Schadenskosten von 195 Euro pro Tonne CO2 (in Preisen von 2020) anzusetzen.

Im Report der High-level-Commission on Carbon Pricing unter der Leitung von Nikolas Stern und Josef Stiglitz wird ein CO2-Preis von 50 bis 100 Dollar pro Tonne genannt.

Der Klimaökonom am Potsdam-Institut für Klimafolgenforschung Otmar Edenhofer schätzt, dass der CO2-Preis ungefähr drei bis vier Mal so hoch sein müsste – d.h. 130 bis 350 Euro pro Tonne –, um das ambitioniertere Klimaziel von 1,5 Grad zu erreichen.

Selbst wenn man die "günstigen" CO2 Preisvorstellungen von EU und USA annimmt, so hätten die USA eine akkumulierte Klimaschuld von bisher insgesamt circa sieben Billionen Dollar angehäuft und müssten jährlich ungefähr 270 Milliarden Dollar in den Klimafond für die Minderverbraucher einzahlen.

Dann sollten die Vereinten Nationen (UN) langsam ihre Schuldeneintreiber losschicken ...

Search is the ultimate truth teller.

The past weeks, I've been searching this thought fart universe and damn, so many things that is said, unsaid, done, and undone. Some things change. Other things are questionable at this age and time. But, let those past posts remind me of where I was in as I slug my way to where I want to be.

I got another really bad injury but tested out if I can walk in chunky heels. I concealed my heavy backpack inside my trusty luggage. The reason behind this seemingly endless accident? I was looking for my Harry Potter Book 1 movie poster and dad told me that he threw it because it's too frail. The 18-year old poster is my lifeline as it reminds me of the then days. Side Note: Accident happened when I reached the poster and missed a step. Mhie, ang taas kasi niya tapos my short hands and short legs are wonky pa. I landed on my right foot naman, but my right ring finger was cut. 'Yung cut na hindi malalim pero masakit talaga. I froze and hoped that nothing was broken, honestly. Side Note 2: Etong poster na 'to, love language ng tatay kong pakitong-kitong. Dahil 'di naman kami alta, nakiusap siya sa client nila na legit tagabenta ng CD and VCDs. Binilhan niya pa ako ng original na VCD ng Book 1. LOL. Tapos, sabi nung client, okay kahit need nila mag-explain since by the book, need surrender ng lahat ng materials sa kinauukulan. He got me 2. OPAK. Syempre, angas mode siya kasi sabi niya, kaka-Harry Potter ko raw kaya kung anu-anong ginagawa niya. Kaya rin sinama ko si Dad sa USJ kahit kinahirap ko talaga siya. HAHAHAHAHA. Seeing him immerse in my universe kahit wrong answers siya palagi sa topic na 'to. Kitang-kita kong nadama niyang I have arrived. CHZ. Proud na proud siya and super thanks siya sa akin for the first time in real life with bashing pa rin syempre.

Dad lambasted me again. And again saying: Basta Harry Potter talaga, nababaliw ka noh? LOL. He even told me that I could have called him to get the bloody poster kasi nga, 'di ko talaga siya abot even with a step ladder ng ganun kadali. He was weirded out because while he knew that I was hurt, smile pa rin ako. At least, I got my poster in a safe condition. Ano ba naman 'yung 18-year old poster na 'di na madaling hanapin ngayon, right?

I watch, listen and re-read Harry Potter when I'm sad, happy, feeling fucked up, feeling good, alone, with company, with all the fucks to give in the world, with zero fucks to give to the world. I remember watching re-runs so many times when mom, ina, Tito Taurus, V and C died, too. :p Ewan ko. Baliw nga kasi ako e.

I remember the days when I was stuck in high school with no fucks about whether I'd fit in or not. From an exclusive school, I was housed in a parochial school that meant ultimate culture shock. While I joined groups, I never felt at home. The teenage years felt weird and unpleasant. I like weird, but that feeling when everything is changing and I'm stuck is just too much, I guess. Certain groups welcomed me but I seem to be too bored or dissociated. I hopped from one group to another, but no luck, still. Even then, being on my own does not bother me, at all. However, I knew people around me think otherwise. Some groups reached out and I said that while appreciate their effort, I'm pretty much okay to hop from one group to another, depending on my mood or my headspace. I'm not exactly an outcast, I think. Of course, I've been bullied but I quickly learned how to fight back plus mother dragon stayed closest to me. I didn't like how she managed me, honestly. But, she knew that if I'm left unattended, I'd most likely morph into a thicccc-blooded bully myself who gets away with demerits and deception.

Fitting in one group does not make sense to me and that's my final answer, even up to now. This holds true. This stands firmly.

One time, our teacher was absent and the whole class was sent to the library. I browsed the new books and stumbled upon Harry Potter Book 1. Since I read slowly, I spent my break time reading this considerably thick book. I found a universe where I can indulge as the writing is so graphic. It's fantastic. I had a really good excuse to sit in a corner of my choice and devour this interesting world where wizards and witches are pretty much like me --a teenager trying to make sense of their new world. At first, no one read Harry Potter. LOL. Buti naman.

Weeks or months later, a few random people approached me and asked me why the hell am I spending my break time reading a blah book instead of mingling with my hood. I simply dismissed their questions, because I don't want this world to go mainstream. Feeling like a gatekeeper, I even hid the copies as I asked the librarian nicely that I'd like to finish Book 3. LOL. She smiled and told me that it's okay since no one is reading them anyway. At 13, I felt like I belong to a universe that's beyond my current space. It felt kind of rebellious since I really hated the whole idea of parochial school.

In between biology, chemistry and homeroom, I spent time learning that being weird is never a bad thing. The characters are way quirkier than me, so, let it be. Later still, Harry Potter craze officially landed in Manila. :P Back then, Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Baby Sitters Club, and the like are the top tier. So, I guess Harry Potter became the cool thing to a good number of people who are tired of the usual plot twists. I've been asked more times about Harry Potter and I was left with no choice but to overshare. :P Daming tanong e. 'Di ko masalag. Funny how I tried to have my own world but ended up gaining the opposite.

As prime examples, some "paparamdams" ng mga ilang XY involved drawings of Harry. 'Di super nice, pero points for the effort. LOL. Fuck. Why am I remembering these now? I can't believe it. Others naman would talk about the books and slide comments that only Potterheads would get. Others gifted me with merchs na basic since wala pa naman masyadong funds noon and access sa original merchs. May kasama pang: Puro ka kasi Harry Potter. Andito naman ako. LUL. As in nagiging argument pa kung bakit mas mahalagang matapos ang Harry Potter Book 4 before finals exam kesa magbigay ng atensyo sa mga paparamdams. :D

Looking back at these prime examples, I shake my head. Nakakatawa. Baliw nga talaga ako kay Harry Potter and sila naman na rin nag-adjust. In fairness. In all fairness. Plus points kayo diyan mga former XY paramdams. Puwede naman kasing derecho na lang e. 'Di ako mahirap kausap. Mahabang usapan lang na consistent and rektahang bullet points. LOL. LUH.

Me to myself: Bakit ba kasi sumikat 'to? E hooked na ako, so wala naman na akong maggawa. Also, mejj off 'yung mga "slide" comments kasi nag-notes pa ako sa bawat book, so, uhm. Tabi. You say you're a fan, noh? Let's test it out, then. :D

Kidding aside, this piece of art on its way to be a classic allowed me to appreciate the fact that I would never fit in and that it's okay. Totes fine. It's not a problem to be in a noisy and nosy place so as long as I believe that magic is real, here and now. I've grown up a whole lot but I'm still that kid inside tries to see the beauty in the mundane, the weirdos, the psychos and the typos.

I guess it's also because for the first time, I've actually came across a female writer whose female characters are not that stereotypical. Even then, I was utterly bothered that women writers seem to be but a few sessions. JK Rowling has been my "shero" as I discovered her backstory. Mas mabilis naman na ako ngayon and sana magkaroon ng version nito na bionic reading 'yung takada ng typography in Adobe Garamond, point 12. CHOZ. Huy. Not sure sa point 12. Clunky na memory bank ko. Also, her being axed in the anniv special docu is a bummer. Cancel culture kasi about she revealing na Dumbledore is gay. Wala naman siyang sinabing out of line kasi for me, true gender equality is widening the biases. I do not patronize homophobia. In the same manner, let the straight people lead a straight life. Ganun lang talaga. My mug of butterbeer in Hogsmeade landian session might not be for everyone. And vice versa. Magpapasko na kasi, kaya 'yung overthinking ko, nasa point na ng dressing up Hogwarts ni Hagrid na may malaking pine tree papunta sa Great Hall.
