You me give mixed signals about ai pictures. First you reblog Val shooting Vox for mentioning ai then your reblog comic made by ai
we like to keep the people guessing
tbh nothing was shared with any intention to get a message across. i don't have an issue with ai generated art/content and use ai regularly for my job - but i'm also super passionate about the ethics and abuse of copyright.
i've been using ai for a long time, and it's been invaluable for producing massive amounts of written content quickly in an increasingly competitive landscape where people outsource writing for pennies.
it's great for generating ideas, turning bulky outlines into fully fleshed out paragraphs, speeding through sections of written content that no one tends to read but are necessary, paraphrasing, and especially editing.
and while it can't replace a human writer, it can make their life 10x easier the same way as art tools can help by quickly fill in parts of a piece or make a perfect circle.
so for me, it's the same old argument about whether digital art is real art and the grey area between tracing and referencing, sampling, and plagiarizing - because it asks how much of your own skills are you applying, how do you credit the original artist - and when is it necessary to credit vs. when it becomes your original work
i do think ai should be allowed in fandom spaces. it's the very definition of a transformative work. there's a certain level of skill that goes into using ai well and creatively. ai generators are fast but the effort it takes to generate a good piece isn't. it gives people a means to be creative and share stuff in a fandom space which inherently feeds off each other. no one's (hopefully) monetizing off it*. plus, people have been using stuff like picrew for ages to make fandom icons and ocs.
but on a bigger scale, of course capitalism means corporations are going to be greedy and use it to try and entirely replace artists and monetize their work without paying them directly instead of making their lives easier. which is shit since their time and skill is already so devalued. if you ever use an app like sudowrite, you can tell a lot of the content is pulled directly from fanfiction. but there are ways to use ai ethically.
so, the biggest issue for me is that it needs to be better regulated and copyright law needs to be updated to account for transformative works, the way major corporations latch onto their copyright by making minor updates, and greed surrounding licensing agreements (esp. in the music industry).

Hi Ryu!I really like your art! I hope it's not a very personal question, but is there any character that you find relatable? I hope you have a great day! 💚
Hi Anon! Thank you so much for liking my art, I really appreciate it! <3
And don’t worry about the personal question, I don’t mind answering that. In fact, we did have a post about twst characters that I find the most relatable, but apparently it was half a year ago (yikes) + I didn’t really elaborate much about them. To be honest, I thought it would be too cringey to read.
But screw that; let’s be a little bit vulnerable.
I’ll start by saying that a lot of twst characters are pretty relatable in general. Once again, Yana is a good writer and conveys characters’ feelings and struggles very nicely, so even if the situation itself isn’t familiar to you, the emotions that characters go through are understandable and easy to “feel”. There are a lot of aspects of Idia’s and Vil’s story that hit on a very personal level, especially the artistic aspect, I guess.
But the ones that I mentioned in my previous posts were these doofuses. Doofusi. Idiots. What a squad, really.
I’ll post the tier-list again so you can admire my mistake in the word “menace”. The tiers are also pretty self-explanatory, but I’ll add something about each of them.
Tumblr media
Crowley is here half-jokingly, I can’t say much about him; Kalim is so stupidly relatable at times though that it hurts. His obliviousness that comes from being kind of sheltered and super detached and naive and expecting good things from people is a good source of comedy, but it also made me reflect on some of the things about my own upbringing (no don’t  have that kind of money god I WISH), my relationship with people and frankly my clumsiness lol Katsu always likes to joke about how there are some things that Katsu does but I get credit for, and because of that I always do the “HEY DID YOU KNOW THAT KATSU IS AWESOME” thing. It’s going to be a reoccurring theme in this reply…
The second tier is also the second-most relatable. Sebek is pretty much the way I used to be at his age: he is so FUCKING STUBBORN and so focused on things that he thinks are right and has so little patience for anyone who doesn’t fit these molds, sometimes I genuinely want to choke him because of how annoying he is lol but I also adore him for that. The sheer adoration he feels for the person he admires is also shamefully relatable. There is a lot of Sebek in the adult me as well I guess lol But I at least try to be somewhat open-minded. But the simp in me lives.
And he also lives in me with my kinship with Rook fucking Hunt because this man just gets it. The way he talks about Vil and art and beauty of everyone and everything, I really admire that but also can’t help but nod aggressively whenever he says something. He just cares so much about these things?? It’s so wonderful but also heck yes the colour of leaves is as important of a thing as the shape of your loved one’s calves today. He is also this weird mix of being brutally honest sometimes because he doesn’t always have an easy time having any fucking tact (having no tact and weird relationship with one’s own emotions is also a reoccurring theme here lol), but also finds a way to say something nice when there is nothing nice to be said. I do get in trouble for both of these things sometimes, and even though I try to work on them, I still find it relatable af. But the simping and appreciation of arts is the main thing here lol
Now, Ortho. I wonder how many of you thought that out of the two Shrouds it was Ortho who is more relatable to me lol this is what Ch6 does to a person. Although retroactively, a lot of their vignettes started to hit very close to home too.
The reason why I told in my very old very long Shroud-related shipping post that there are some things about their relationship that I find very relatable is that I do find myself in these situations quite often. There is a person in my life that I love really dearly and that I get very protective of, and I used to be even more protective and get instantly aggressive when I got even a faint idea that someone might think badly of them. Like I mentioned in that post, ”I just don’t want him to be misunderstood” is the line I felt very deeply about. This is kind of a complicated topic, and a more personal one at that, so I won’t dive deeper in this post; let’s keep it more light-hearted. I am also small and cute, so here’s that lol
Speaking of smallness and cuteness, god I wish I had more similarity to Lilia fucking Vanrouge, he is way too awesome. But he also has this aura of protectiveness and wanting better things for someone dear to him that hits close to home; (Now leaving: Wholesome town, Next stop: Cursed city) he also has this aggressive top aura, which is obviously our headcanon for a lot of it, but the way he talks and acts and teases is at the same time admirable and hilarious; Katsu has a lot of “this is just you…” moments with him. But then again, 50% wishful thinking.
Azul has kind of a similar upbringing to me, but he is also super fucking ANNOYING, the vibes I get from him are similar to Sebek’s: a lot of it is stuff that I used to struggle with when I was younger, but I kinda still do. I’m a horrible control-freak and I just know I wouldn’t be able to fly on a fucking broom or ask for help because I would stand there like an idiot and try to do it myself, even though my concentration and overstressing would keep ruining the whole thing. I also work a lot and get excited about things that I can do and make stupid plans and god how much I hate it here (just kidding, I love it, being a control freak is fucking awesome)
The Tweels is just my edgy inner self wanting to be scarier and more intimidating, to be honest, nothing to add here. And Riddle is a dork who doesn’t know how to play videogames, so yeah been there.
Damn it took longer to write than I thought it would lol I hope this wasn’t a tedious read, and please keep in mind that I’m saying a lot of these things half-jokingly.
Thank you for your ask, Anon!

Welcome to Art (7).
Tumblr media
Thank you for meeting me here today, friends, for our special extra credit class, 'The Art of Gay Lore'! Now, if you'll all follow me to the art room...
Now, Professor Hassel may or may not know we're here, so everyone keep this on the down-low k? It's a weekend, we'll be fine... everyone participating today will be wired some totally legitimate LP in thanks, which... well, maybe don't mention that to Professor Hassel either? He does work for the League after all...
Anyway, I'm Professor Mini Holz, and today's special class is on the topic of the classroom itself! Now, would anyone like to hazard a guess as to why this classroom is particularly important on our journey into deeper homosexual lore?
A) Art is especially gay in Paldea
B) There's some interesting shit going on here
C) Everything Hassel does and is connects to his own homosexual love story and general softness
Correct, random guy at the back there! That's right folks, there's no true answer, because the answer is yes. (Though you can have extra extra credit for C, you've clearly read my metas.)
Now, let's start over on the left, shall we? Your eyeballs are mine, caught in my meta web...
We start with several colour charts, which is fairly standard for an art room.
Tumblr media
What's fun here is that this is the RGB colour wheel, which is not used really in art theory, but more to determine how colour is viewed in digital mediums. If you mix blue and yellow paint, you get green, not cyan. Likewise, the triple diagram beside it is for printing colours - cyan, magenta, and yellow. It's also the exact colour scheme of one of The Harvests in Artazon.
... Now, imagine a world where colour is used on a digital platform to create alternate meanings to those in standard colour theory, such as, oh I don't know, POKEMON TYPES. And then, imagine a scenario where a local and well-known artist does exactly that in his sculptures. What a wild world that would be, right? Insane...
Also, these are rainbow colours. Professor Hassel has two rainbow posters in his classroom. Let's carry on, it's too early in the class to lose my mind...
And as we move to the centre of our classroom, I need you to all just stand back for a second. That's right, against that wall over there...
Tumblr media
The seats, guys. Those seats we sit on for every class are Grass, Dragon and Electric-coloured, much like that one Harvest that symbolises the unity between Professor Hassel, gym leader Brassius, and an Arboliva.
Tumblr media
If you look closely and count, friends, you'll see that there's also six of each of them if we count the two Electric ones off to the left, which is how many olives orbit The Harvest. Fascinating isn't it, that there's such a clear reference to the harmony of Professor Hassel and his husband in the middle of our classroom, specifically where we're meant to relax? Almost as though he finds deep comfort in his marriage...
It's not the only thing evocative of those types in this room, though. If you turn to your right for me, and check out that curious little piece in the corner...
Tumblr media
Mmm. A very familiar colour palette, I think we can all agree. Thank you to my colleague @spiritofstars for showing me this - she's already taken extra credit. This appears to be a kabocha, a certain type of squash, which a little research explains nicely:
Tumblr media
... Well. Now, who could we possibly know who has been 'deathly ill', and who Professor Hassel might wish to see safely through the winter? Ah yes, that's right - Brassius, that same one who told us that very thing in Art (4). This is reinforced by the presence of blue cineraria flowers beneath the painting, which as my other colleague @someguynamededdie pointed out in its recent flower meta, mean something super cute:
Tumblr media
You see how the Dragon blue is the background colour, the 'protector' of the kabocha? We live in a society, and that society is so gay dear Arceus. My dear little bro also notes that orange poppies, the flowers next to the blue cinerarias, symbolise health and regeneration, so...
So, what does all of that together mean?
A) Professor Hassel is a goddamn sap
B) Professor Hassel is soft and protective and he makes me want to sob
C) Professor Hassel is completely enamoured with his windmill-jumping husband
Mmm, yes, correct! It's any and all of them, thank you for listening. We have this concept of 'protector' also summed up nicely in the top right corner of the room:
Tumblr media
Here we find a Jigglypuff - a Fairy type, something Professor Hassel's Pokemon are weak to. And in the middle, we find a mannequin - a model, directly in front of a piece about a man being haunted by his past - look very closely, and you'll see the ghost in the distant window, looming over the more confident man at the forefront. And it's beside the Grass-type seats. But you'll note the Dragon-type coloured lamp on the same desk.
Here, we see a man who could be weakened, who could allow himself to fall victim to the ghosts of his past, the family he ran from - but because of the Grass, because of his own light, he doesn't. He stays here, and teaches us, and loves his husband.
Perhaps Professor Hassel isn't the only protective one, and perhaps Brassius isn't the only one who finds hope and salvation in his love. It's very interesting, isn't it class?
And Brassius, despite being a very prominent figure in the narrative of this room, isn't the only person being referenced here. If we move to the centre of the room, we of course find this:
Tumblr media
There's a whole narrative here about 'flying free' - if we look at Professor's Jacq's Pokedex entry for Staraptor, we see that:
Tumblr media
That's exactly what Professor Hassel did, left his family because they were terrible! It's crazy, really, because as a protector, he must also be very sturdy! Trust me, I've defeated him in the Elite Test - he calls himself 'the dragon guarding the final fortess', and he means it. We also see Brassius fly free - quite literally as he jumps off windmills, but he's been freed from his own awful past, too... by Professor Hassel.
And who must a Staraptor remind us of? Well, gym leader Larry of course, Professor Hassel's friend and fellow Elite Four member... much like those poppies over there, which bring to mind our good little Steel-type sister in Arceus, Poppy. In fact, I think she might well be responsible for some of these drawings...
Tumblr media
Note the Phanpy, there, which could represent Rika as a little Ground-type cutie. But what's fascinating about this wall is the selection of Pokemon here.
Gyrados is a big, scary Water type which people often confuse for a dragon... Ditto can be anything, but adapts to its surroundings, always keeping its own stats intact... Eevee can one be one of eight different Pokemon one day, and its evolution is a joint decision between trainer and Pokemon... Cacnea is a small, cheerful, spikey Grass-type, which reminds me an awful lot of a certain gym leader, and Dedenne - well, Dedenne doesn't evolve, and yet we have a larger, rounder one, and a littler, happier one.
... Huh. They're all relevant, aren't they? Dragons being confused by their own paths; Eevee, its own fate undecided as a youngster; Ditto, who shows us that however much we change, we're still the same within; our pair of Dedennes, representing size and shape and happiness, and a little Grass guy who looks like Brassius, all smiles and victory - he even has a little crown!
... Wow. Even I wasn't expecting to discover this much! I hope you're taking notes... now, I don't know if Poppy did draw these lovely pictures, but there's one here that show a pair of Rookidee, and she has a Corviknight. I reckon that if nothing else, she definitely is responsible for this one, and that's adorable. The one on the right even looks unimpressed, which might have had something to do with it worrying about the future of that Tinkatink she also used to have...
Tumblr media
But I'd like to leave you today, class, with a final painting, this one right here in fact, with the colourful squares.
Tumblr media
Now, this is right next to the colour charts we looked at earlier, but - well, when someone has no colour, all they are is white. And from nothing grows identity - Grass, Electric, Fire, Steel, Water, Dragon, if we follow the colours of types. And so we have Brassius - from a small boy who doesn't yet know himself, to a Grass-type trainer, to one bursting with the creative sparks of Electric and the passion of Fire, to one who must 'steel' himself against the hardships of life... through Water-y tears, and to Dragon. And if we do a little more research into squares...
Tumblr media
... Well, class. Isn't that enlightening. A journey to trust and stability, showcased in art. You could even view it the other way around - if this is about Professor Hassel, he starts as a Dragon, and he dissolves into tears... he 'steels' himself to live alone, away from a family who doesn't understand him... he embraces passion in Fire, makes music and art... until he finds his 'spark' in teaching, in the Elite Four, through the Grass-type trainer. And white, of course, is not just absence - white is what happens when all the colours blend together.
Well, I do hope you've enjoyed extra credit! Expect that LP as soon as I can get hold of Pen - wait, Sir?
Tumblr media
How long have you been standing here? Have you been here the whole time? What do you mean I ignored you because I was too obsessed with lore?!
Look, I can explain - guys, book it!

On Palworld using AI art;
short answer, I can find zero evidence of this (but feel free to prove me wrong) but it's not impossible
long answer, this seems to be a mix of misunderstanding and their past history. (read more so I don't clog feeds with my wall of text)
The CEO of PocketPair has made posts on Twitter saying how impressed he is with AI art generation, that is true, but the post most people point at he credits in the same thread. It was made by a Buzzfeed employee that was using ruDall-E (minimaxir on twitter) he created a series of fakemon and the CEO commented how it could fool him.
The company of PocketPair is also pro-AI use, and they most certainly have made a game using AI art before, but it does not appear Palworld is one of them. I feel like explaining the game adds context and then you can come to your own conclusions as to if it's ethical use or not. AI: Art Imposter is a game based around AI art generation, each player is given a theme and must give the built-in image generator a prompt that matches that theme, however one of you is an imposter who does not know the theme and must feed the generator a prompt either vauge enough or by pure luck matches the theme and try not to get voted out. This game is similar to the popular game Suck Up! which involves the use of an AI text generator, to the point where the website makes it extremely clear you are purchasing cryptocurrency to make the game work. My only gripe is we do not know where the art is coming from, it could be from the public domain or their own office sure, or it could be stolen which is honestly more likely.
The CEO did state once in 2022 "In about 30 years, the general public’s perception of copyright may have changed considerably.” in reference to AI art generation. I think it's entirely possible due to his past statements AI was used in the design process, not the direct assets. This is again a subject of heavy debate and a matter of opinion regarding ethics, as to whether or not you consider inspiration from AI art to also be a form of stealing. If you've ever "stole" or "fixed" AI art adopts this process is more than likely what was done here. I think this is what he meant in regards to copyright, as the original question was if you feed the same image into a generator enough times is it then considered an original idea, I could be wrong however.
I get the game with my game pass subscription either way, but I understand the need to have this sort of information before making a purchase. I personally do not like the use of AI and tried to remain as neutral as I could by providing other similar examples even if I do not personally agree with them, but I'm sure my bias will shine somewhere. As an artist AI is definitely something I worry about but I can see how it can be used as a proper tool once more laws are put into place regarding proper credit and payment to the artists used.

Transformers: Mosaic #425 - "Way To Fall"
Originally posted on October 22nd, 2009
Story, Art - Iván Mas
deviantART | Seibertron | TFW2005 | BotTalk
wada sez: Mas released this highly unconventional strip under pseudonym due to the differences in content to his usual—but he interacted with commenters as usual on deviantART, so I think there’s no harm in crediting him properly. This strip gives an impressionistic origin story for Abraham Dante, the human Headmaster partner of Scorponok and leader of the Machination in Simon Furman’s comics for IDW. Mas uses allusions to Dante’s real-world namesake—writer of the Divine Comedy, a first-person account of a journey through the Christian afterlife—to play up the idea of a deal with the devil. This was Mas’ second attempt at a Mosaic strip primarily consisting of a collage of photos, after “The Oregonian”, but this was the first to be accepted for publication, presumably thanks to its more traditional format and original artwork. The human figures in this strip feature skeletal smiles superimposed over their mouths, the inspiration for which Mas attributes to the novel The Man Who Laughs, the movie adaptation of which apparently inspired Bill Finger in the creation of the most infamous Batman villain, the Joker. See below for a motivational poster released as a preview for the strip, and a machine translation of Mas’ commentary.
Tumblr media
Well, I think this page deserves an explanation, for several reasons.
First, if you notice, I have signed with a pseudonym, that's according to the fact that I’ve used a very different—or totally different—style from mine, the cut of the story is intended to be sinister, mature and scary.... seems more a kind of paranoia or nightmare ... hence I decided not to include anything that could identify the story with anything or anyone, in this case ... say it's like a tormented part of me, had made that story ... something like that wanted to make itself understood.
A lot of people tell me that the style reminds me of Dave McKean.... please... I can't compare myself with that man in anything, but I take it as a compliment, the truth is that this was not the intention, but that's how it came out... it's very possible that unconsciously I resorted to his style, even so, he was the first to mix photographs with drawings and textures.... he’s a great artist, I haven’t discovered anything new.
On the other hand I had a thorn in my side, since I try that each mosaic has a more or less different style or a different cut, except when I make "sagas" as Masterforce, for example. Recall that I already made one based on retouched photographs, but it was rejected... now in this second attempt it was all good.
I wasn't sure if Transformers fans would get into the game on this page... it has a very different atmosphere from what we have seen so far, and above all from what we have seen in IDW, much more immature and poor in some aspects.
If we look... each vignette could have several readings or meanings.... for example the first one, we see a baby, lil’ Dante..... the photo’s mouth is swapped, what is below lets us glimpse his true nature..... nature that we will discover in the final vignette, where we see how he has always been, as a robot, an automaton, cold, energetic, calculating, insensitive ... with a big eye, as if it were a God, or something like that....
The second is a long panel, where we review a little of his life... and at the end in the lower right corner, we can glimpse something of "Machination".
The third .... we see him how we see the world leaders .... speaking to the people, in the upper right corner we see some soldiers, a war, the men of power pull while making decisions that condemn many. And that's why they hate them so much... maybe that's why they deserve to die instead of innocents, that's why the silhouettes of the guns pointing at him, the cracked line would reflect the inner torment of that person for something he doesn't have yet or can't get.
And the fifth... he swears allegiance to the devil himself, Scorponok, a superior being with the power to give life and take it away, in the lower right corner we see some demon pointing his trident at them...
As for purely the mosaic ... the idea was easy ... the human being is evil by nature or becomes ... well ... in this case it is clear that from the beginning Dante is a cruel being, and that his spirit is corrupt, like many people, politicians, military, people with power basically ... only they, would have access to deal with someone of his ilk, Decepticons, Demons.
I hope you enjoy it, and for those of you who don't like it, I hope the next one will be better.
Thanks for everything.

#CelebRRRation Posting Rules
Hi friends!
As we are less than a week away from the start of our CelebRRRation festivities, @stanleykubricks and I ( @fangirlshrewt97 ) thought we could go over the ground rules again and explain posting for the event. As always if you have any queries about it, feel free to send us an Ask!
This is a low-pressure event meant to encourage the creation of more fanworks for RRR. Fic, art, gifs, vids, podfic, music, memes, you name it—all are welcome.
You can find information regarding the prompts and the guidelines for the content of your entries here!
Posting Guidelines & Template:
Please use the appropriate event tag (#CelebRRRation22) for all submissions. All work must be original to the person entering it. We will not accept reposts that don’t have proper credit and approval from the original artist.
We will reblog all valid entries so please get in touch with us if you don’t see your entry up within a few days. You can also mention our blog @celebrrration to get our attention.
Is there a minimum word count?
No there isn’t, we will be accepting everything from five sentence memes all the way to multi-chapter fics. Poetry will also be accepted.
Is there any content that will not be allowed?
All entries should treat their subject matter respectfully and tag triggers appropriately.
Can I submit a new chapter to a published fiction as my entry?
All work must be previously unpublished. New chapters of an already published work will not be accepted, however, a stand-alone one-shot based on an existing work is acceptable.
How rigid are the prompts?
We have tried to choose very open ended prompts and keep a good mix of prompts for each day so people would have the greatest number of options to choose. For prompts such as “Dosti” and “Naatu Naatu”, they are not strictly related to those two songs from the movie, but rather anything related to those songs.
Can I submit a work for multiple days?
Any work can include multiple prompts, but each entry will only be taken for one day! So choose accordingly!
Do I have to post for all the days?
Absolutely not! This event is meant to be fun. You can create as many or as few works as you are able to. If you can only submit one entry, then embrace that entry with all your heart, we will love it too.
Do the characters involved have to be in a romantic relationship or can I portray them platonically?
You are welcome to represent whoever you want, however you want!
Will you accept smut or PWP in your event?
Yes, you are welcome to submit this type of work as long as you tag and rate it appropriately, and follow all the other event rules.
How should I rate my fanfiction?
You should use the AO3 Guidelines . Please make sure to tag for any potential triggers.
Is there a limit to the amount of entries one can submit to this event?
You can submit as many entries as you want, there is no limit!
Will you accept late submissions?
Yes we will accept late submissions, if we don’t reblog it send us an ask or tag us in a reblog of it so we definitely see it but we’ll do our best to keep checking the event tag. We will accept fics into the event till the end of the month (October 31, 2022), as real life is hard and it can be easy to lose track of time.
Are AU’s allowed?
Yes, despite AU only being listed in the prompts for Day 5, you can use AUs for any of the other days as well.
What if I only want to post in AO3?
That’s fine! There is an option on AO3 to share your work to Tumblr. It will automatically generate a post for you! All you need to do is add the #celebrrration2022 tag and @celebrrration! Alternatively, you can send us a submission with the link, and we'll post it on this blog.
Posting Template
Please make sure to use the keep reading feature if your word count is higher than 300 words or one picture.
Please tag #celebrrration2022 and/or #celebrrration2022entry as well as @celebrration in all of your work. Remember to include the tags within your first five tags so they can be found when searched!
For some standard formatting, please include the following information at the start of your fanfiction or in your fanart caption:
Title:
Relationships:
Rating:
Warnings/Tags:
Day and Prompt:
If we have not answered your question please feel free to send us an ask and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. There are no stupid questions!

Head cannon for Jeff;
❗❗❗ART ISN'T MINE 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝘼𝙍𝙏 𝙄𝙎𝙉'𝙏 𝙈𝙄𝙉𝙀, I'm using this for visuals, I'm too tired to draw anything out but yea credit to these artist❗❗
So for mr jeffy boy, I like to use BanningK's jeff. If you haven't heard or read the story and know of the time line, PLEASE check out Mr.creepypasta's videos for it, they are the SHIT.
So anyways, Jeff in this timeline by the original author, he doesn't carve a smile into his face, doesn't magically turn white because of being burned. Instead of that happening, the three boys still gang up on him. 𝘽𝙪𝙩, the main one, I forget his name, his mom and Jeff's mom decided they should get to know one another, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘑𝘦𝘧𝘧'𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘓𝘪𝘶'𝘴 𝘣𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘴. Granted, Jeff beat the shit out of the kids but whatever. Cops knew and were friends with the asshole crotch goblins families so they were on their side for the most part. 𝘼𝙉𝙔𝙃𝙊𝙊𝘿𝙇𝙀, Jeff goes over to this kids house, and they actually get along ang bond over some stuff. Eventually, their moms' leave, 𝙊𝙊𝙊 𝙃𝙄𝙎 𝙉𝘼𝙈𝙀 𝙒𝘼𝙎 𝙍𝘼𝙉𝘿𝙔, and Randy tells Jeff to follow him. They go into his garage and he eventually shows Jeff his flare gun. Jeff, not wanting to deal with more fighting, tries to leave, but Troy and Keith show up, and Randy's saying basically to let them beat Jeff up. And Jeff, losing it, beat the fuck out of all them basically. Randy's and Jeff's mom eventually come back, they hear the car pull up. Randy freaks out and tells them he needs to put the flare. Everyone starts putting stuff away, and as Jeff goes to pick up magazines, Randy actually accidentally drops the flare, it goes off and shoots Jeff in the face. So, now half of his face is burned, and he's blind in his left eye. Doesn't turn any shade of color, it's just burned skin now. He doesn't kill his brother either in this one, his brother actually goes on to write books about his brother. I think it's called "friend, brother, killer. By Liu Woods" some shit like that.

So, Jeff sees certain members of slender's proxy and acquaintances, (such as LJ, Jason the toy maker + Candy pop, Hobo Heart, and others), as family. Especially since his actual family was ehhhh not the best. Granted, he killed his parents but if they actually acknowledged their children and what was 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 going on, maybe they'd be alive. He views Sally as a little sister, and he has mixed feelings about her. Not in a bad sense, just, he feels awful. Especially since Jackson (EJ Goes by Jackson for my HC since LJS there and he tends to prefer it anyways), filled him in on what happened to her exactly. (𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙝𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙙𝙤 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙗𝙧𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚) He likes Jackson, but has no idea how he'd even approach a person, er uh, demon? Like him. He knows he has emotions and feeling like a "human" but obviously he's not human anymore. With Ben and Toby, they're like his weird gbf's (Ben and Toby do be gay tho), but Jeff doesn't mind them dating. He's actually the reason they said anything to each other in the first place.
With jinx, it's weird. He met her one time just doing his crap in the forest. She attached him, because she needed to eat. Jeff having experienced junk like this, threw her off and they kinda had a stand off. Jeff was v e r y confused. I don't blame him, she'd be wearing a floor length dress, similar to mortica adams, but more Victorian goth. Eventually though the develope like a bro, sibling type bond. She's imortal and almost as old as Jack (LJ) so he didn't try to pursue her in anyway, plus he had *hinted* about it to her one time and she made it clear they wouldn't work out, but she was flattered non the less.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Uhhh yeaaaa. I'll make one for Jinxs as well, especially because she's like my sona and I plan on writing a story about her background and how she became a vampire. It's sorta similar to Luis in "Interview with a vampire". But y'all will hear about this as I go hehe

Evelyne Axell
Evelyne Axell was a Belgian pop artist known for her politically charged erotic paintings that transcended the boundaries of what was her socio-political reality.
Tumblr media
Born in the 30s and lived through the 60s
She studied pottery after high school then switched to drama, initially beginning a career as an actress. She married Jean Antoine, a film director who specialized in art documentaries for Belgian television…. Now, Axell was not her given name… her given name was Devaux. (father Andre Devaux)... She changed her name to Axell for acting career purposes. She worked as an interviewer in a documentary about avant garde artists, a television announcer, performed in a variety of theatrical and televised plays, and starred in several movies, one being the provocative Le Crocidile en peluche that she wrote herself.
Side note: she had a baby somewhere in between all of this. I have to make note of that because it’s a reminder of how magnificent women are…
Tumblr media
carrying on…
After some time she then quit her career as an actress and went on to pursue painting.
Not trying to be an encourage-er of quiters… but lets normalize this. Lets normalize changing directions when you are no longer fulfilled or satisfied with what you’re doing.
I’m assuming Evelyne had a strong desire to create, whatever it was she was supposed to be creating was a journey within itself she was trying to figure out… or maybe it was just about exploring… leaving no stone unturned.
Tumblr media
So, apparently surrealist painter Rene Magritte, was a friend of her husband’s, and she was able to gain him as a mentor. They visited with each other 2 times a month over the course of a year and worked on developing and improving her oil painting technique.
Evelyne and her husband travelled a lot for work.  On one of these trips she went to London with Antoine while he was putting together a production to spotlight pop artists. She met a few of these artists in their studios and became so influenced and enamored that she started to form her own style of Pop art, being one of the first Belgian artists to explore this style of painting.
Tumblr media
She faced difficulties getting her paintings shown in galleries and in hopes of being taken more seriously as a female artist, she began using the androgenous name Axell professionally.
Like just Axell.. Period. And signing her paintings as Axell.
Her work is an intoxicating mix of art historical- and self-reference, formal originality, and a playful sense of political awareness. She was a protofeminist who was aware of the discrimination of women at that time and was mocking about certain things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her signature was the spherical blue glasses that she wore and often showed up in her artworks. She merged herself with a number of figures she depicted.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her artwork speaks about the body and sensuality, about social limitations, taboos and their transgression in ways that invite the viewer to think outside the traditional borders of their social, political, or religious context. Axell's work is not just pioneering feminist art; it's the "outstanding quality" of it: her striking use of fresh, contemporary colors; her notable application of unusual materials, her surprising use of jutting layers to build highly original works that evade clear definition; and lastly, her refusal to be pinned in by art movements, be it pop or nouveau réalism, or even the surrealism of her one-time teacher Magritte, whose influence is apparent in her early work.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Axell's life was tragically cut short in a fatal accident outside of Ghent, Belgium, in September 1972. However, her legacy lives on, and her final piece, "L’herbe folle," is a testament to her creative brilliance. Axell's art continues to inspire and provoke conversation about social and political issues today.

I might be a bit whiny, but I’m seeking for advise after what I’ve learned about art and writing thieves, and not just from your case, but others too. How do you continue posting your work knowing that a thief can just take it and try make the credit theirs? After all I’ve learned, I find myself in a slump and ask, “What’s the point of showing anything?”
That's a valid question, and the answer for each individual is going to stem from the question, "Why do I create?"
For some people, the primary motivation for creating art (of whatever kind -- visual art, writing, music, whatever) is external. That means they are making things with the goal of receiving some kind of response from other people, whether that's in the form of reactions from friends, Tumblr notes, AO3 comments, awards from a competition, revenue from sales, etc. For these creators, art is a vector for connecting with others in some way.
For other people, the primary motivation is internal -- they have an image they want to create, a story they want to tell, a mood they want to express, a struggle they want to work through, or some other personal desire that they can achieve through creating something. Recognition from others is a nice bonus, but these people are creating for themselves first, and others second.
It's important to understand that neither of these motivation types is a more "pure" or morally superior approach to art! They're equally valid but different, in the same way that some people are introverts who are recharged by alone time, while others are extroverts who are recharged by social contact. And most creators have some mix of these two motivations. (In my case, I tend to create content that I have a personal passion for, but I also want to share it with others and get excited about their response, so I'm about 60% internal/40% external.)
Now, for those creators who are externally motivated, something like art theft or piracy is a massive blow to their creative motivation, because the whole reason they're making the thing in the first place is so people will engage with it and connect with them. Having that engagement/feedback/revenue go to someone else is robbing the artist of their incentive, just like robbing someone of a paycheck they've earned by working hard. (In the case of commercial artists/writers/musicians, the paycheck theft is literal.)
That's not to say that creators who are internally motivated aren't also hurt by piracy; in their case, the theft might feel extremely personal, because the thing they made was for them, and someone else took it. Rather than entirely killing their creative impulse, though, an internally-motivated artist might still create, but will be more reluctant to share their work in a venue/format where it could be stolen.
All of that can help you recognize why you're in a slump, which might help you decide what approach you want to take with your creative works in the future. For someone whose work is therapeutic or deeply personal, piracy might be extremely hurtful, and it might not be worth the risk to share it publicly. For someone who thrives on feedback but is upset by the thought of someone else taking credit for their work, there are options to create and share works in smaller communities (such as a focused Discord server or to Patreon followers). For someone who just wants the most people possible to see their work, posting publicly but monitoring more frequently for piracy might be the way to go. The answer might be different for every artist.
Preventing piracy in the digital age is difficult. Posting in places where visibility is high carries increased risk of theft. Paywalls like Patreon, et al. can slow bot scraping, but also drastically reduce the number of people who can see your work. Some visual artists use watermarks and low-resolution images to prevent theft, but speaking as an artist, it's very frustrating to have to obscure parts of or reduce the quality of something I spent dozens of hours on when it's meant to be seen in glorious high definition. As a writer, I've just had to accept that posting publicly on a site like AO3 or publishing my work professionally carries risk, and address it when it happens. (To be honest, my commercial writing is at just as much or even more risk; piracy is a huge issue in the publishing industry, too.)
Ultimately, the choice is up to you. If you want to take some time off from creating to think about it, there's nothing wrong with that. If you want to throw yourself into something creative to try to overcome the slump, that's also a valid approach. If you want to change how (or if) you share your work online to reduce risk, that's fine. But as a fellow creator, I'd urge you not to let the existence of a handful of thieves discourage you from creating art -- for whatever reason -- if making things is what makes you happy. (EDIT: Apparently when I tried to save this as a draft it posted a half-finished version. I think I've fixed it now, but Asks are a weird thing.)

[S] John: Play haunting piano refrain.
[tell me if the track doesn't work]
Released August 9, 2009 by Kevin Regamey and Malcolm Brown The first ~50 seconds were used for this flash. Well that was a nice interlude. Showtime is such a memorable song, it appears later in different tracks, making it John's theme. Thanks to the Unofficial Homestuck Collection, some tracks even have the artist commentary! That's great, I'll be able to comment on it. Also, piano fingers go weeee~
Kevin Regamey: To be honest, I've fallen off the MSPA train pretty hard. This has undoubtedly been the busiest year (or two) of my life, and I am only now returning to reacquaint myself with what the heck is up.
Maaan if only I got more curious, I could have discover Homestuck way earlier. That wouldn't have change the fact that it already ended (or was about to) by the time I discovered Undertale first (back in 2016). Must have been wild to have experienced MSPA during its inception and golden age. That thing huge, so I understand it can be hard to keep up especially when you get off the train a while ago.
Malcolm wrote the chiptune version of Showtime first. I heard it, dug it, and created a piano arrangement just for the hell of it. Like Malcolm has said - earlier on, we didn't necessarily know what we were writing for, so we just wrote whatever spoke to us.
Creative process can be so various and unique from one person to another. They didn't really know in which direction or for what they were writing, but they did anyway. And the chiptune version came first! Crazy.
Tell me your secret guys, please 🥺
Tumblr media
I had posted a "Work in progress" version to the music boards, and I received some positive feedback. Positive enough for me to elaborate it into a full piece.
Fuck yeah, MSPA really did sound awesome! Too bad it closed. I mean we've got MSPFA, but I bet for veterans it doesn't feel the same. Is there a similar platform currently existing? Like you post a wip and you got feedbacks then it motivated you to post the full work? No no I'm not talking about Deviantart, been there, done that. Twice. Twitter doesn't showcase art properly, and Tumblr isn't much for like and positive feedbacks, if any feedback really ToT I have put some of my fan art here, but how to get people interacting with it? That'd always been a mystery to me.
As luck would have it, Andrew was finishing up the first playable page of Homestuck just as I posted the full version. As such, I was lucky enough to have the honour of first musical appearance in Homestuck,
Giga chad energy, what a winner!
but most of the credit should certainly go to Malcolm - for defining John musically at such an early stage of the game, and for being the sole inspiration behind this track.
Man, don't discredit yourself! You still did great, you're on the podium even if you're not first place. Yeah, having the skill and honor of defining a character theme is on a different level. But horizontally I would say. There's pride on both. If the chiptune version is well-known and catchy, the piano one is an iconic powerful track, mixing nostalgia, aimless yearning and tenderness. So much emotion that left a mark in each of us. Later to be magnified by the organ pipe version, by da man, James Roach.
Oh, side note: My midi keyboard was misbehaving when I wrote this, so every note of the piece was clicked into a sequencer. D:
I'm not familiar with such programs, but putting them one by one sounds like hell. Rip x) —>

The Almost Gone - Game Review
Note: This review contains spoilers
Tumblr media
I got this game in the HumbleBundle Amazing Adventures Bundle. Before this, I'd never heard of it so I went in mostly blind and with not much thoughts or opinions outside of "the art look cute" and "the concept seems cool". So let's get into the review.
The Almost Gone was a pretty short game, it took me approx. 3 hours to play in it's entirety(3 hours exact according to steam). The Game consisted of 5 Acts/Chapters and once you completed a stage, you could not go back.
The Good:
The art was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the art style, the colour palette, everything. The artists can definitely give themselves a pat on the back
The music was another highlight. I'll be honest, I'm a bit of a coward so "eeire instrumental" isn't my usual jam but the music was genuinely beautiful and really helped set the overall vibe of the game
The puzzles were engaging and difficult enough to make you think but not so difficult as to make you throw up your hands and give up. I was slightly worried that 5 chapters of a point and click game might get boring but the puzzle weren't repetitive at all and nothing felt too easy or too hard
I also have to give kudos to the creators for the handling of sensitive topics. Despite dealing with some heavy stuff, nothing was ever graphic so more sensitive games shouldn't have a problem. The most graphic thing was the police car in a tree (shown below), everything else was just inferred.
Tumblr media
The Bad:
The ending left a lot of questions unanswered. As we go through the game we piece together the life of the MC, Emily, and her family. While it's expected for there to be some confusion initalliy with these kind of game, you generally assume that by the end you'll have a cohesive idea of what happened. That was not the case in the almost gone. Chapter 1 - 4 gives us the following information:
Chapter 1 set "a moment after" - We start off in Emily's home and we learn about her relationship with her parents and their terrible relationship with each other. It's a bit of a cliche, her parents work too much, they fight all the time, the mother is diagnosed with depression and mixes her meds with alcohol and also filed for divorce and full custody.
Chapter 2 set "an hour after" - We move outside and into the neighbourhood where we learn bits and pieces about the neighbours as well as discover that there was some sort of accident (it's where the cop car in the tree is set). We do not know exactly what happened, we just see the aftermath of it.
Chapter 3 set "30 years before" - We learn backstory about Emily's paternal grandparents. Her grandfather was an architect whose design collapsed, killing 8 people, which led to lawsuits and hatemail. He was also abusive and locked her grandmother and father in the basement. We also learn that her dad was lowkey kind of a psychopath, since we find animal bones in his childhood closet and it was implied that he killed them. One of the clues we discover also happen to be a skeleton key that unlocks all the doors in the grandparent's apartment but also has the pun of actually being made from a bird skeleton, again it's inferred by her father.
Chapter 4 set "one year after" - We learn about Emily's mother and her time at a mental hospital and the horrors endured there by her and the other patients. It is also implied that her mother died at this hospital though nothing graphic is depicted. There is no body or anything, we just enter the morgue to see one of the plaques has her mother's room number on it.
Now all of this was well and good and interesting, however the problem comes with chapter 5. I was expecting chapter 5 to be a conclusion which tied together the story in a neat little bow instead it ended up being more of an epilogue where Emily reaches a tree house her father built for her, lays down in bed and says she wants to sleep and then it cuts to credits. It was great to uncover the mystery of who is emily and what happened to her but instead of getting that "aha" moment where it all comes together you're left with your little notepad of disjointed information. I inferred from the sleep as well as the strikethrough in almost that Emily has now passed on and we were in some weird in between state. However I have seen some others question is we were playing while Emily was in a coma and it ended with her waking up. I disagree since "things ending with a character going to sleep" has always been a metaphor for death but to each his own. So while I can be satisfied that in knowing that Emily died, I spent 3 hours playing a game and I cannot tell you know. We know there was an accident that ended with one police car in a tree, another car on fire and death in the neighbourhood but what exactly caused the accident? why the police were in the area to begin with? what happened? We get no answers what so ever. We also have no idea what happened to her father. There are some videos, threads and posts out there that try to piece together a cohesive narrative of what exactly happened but from the game itself we have no clear answer. I think that in trying to not be too graphic about certain things that the creators ended up being too vague on details and that's why we're left with a lot of questions.
In conclusion? I gave The Almost Gone 3 out of 5 stars. The game was beautiful and interesting but the payoff did not match it's potential and in trying to not be too graphic, the creators ended up being too vague on important parts of the story.
Final Rating:⭐⭐⭐

C R E A T U R E -- F E A T U R E
With so many mythical creatures living in our Haven, we have turned to our site members to help bring them to life. Each week one of the mythical creatures will be selected to be featured. Our members will submit their own creative interpretations of what this creature might look like for us to share! The art work created for these creatures will be featured in our hunting game, tumblr posts, and on our clan territory pages! With credit to the artist of course!
This week we have chosen to feature....
S P I D E E R !!!!
A shadowy black and grey six legged deer that has fangs and it’s venom is used in many potions and when diluted can be mixed into a cure for several illnesses.A creature of the night that if it catches you in its gaze, will paralyze you with a nightmare world it places your mind in bringing further all of your fears. If you die in the nightmare, you’re dead in the real world as well. Wake quickly or you’ll be its dinner as it will take your paralyzation from fear as a chance to wrap you in its webs for dinner.

That gwynriel artwork the last anon was talking about was made by AI and I'm so goddamn pissed that every artwork the AI artist posted have over thousands of likes. Real artists barely get any attention and I can't believe the comments. Ignoring the fact that el/riel are rude again and shooting down any gwynriels, all those people in the comments want is another AI piece? You mean you want another stolen artwork that got changed a little by a robot?
AI isn't hard to recognize and I'm surprised so many people are falling for it. Maybe it's because my mom is an artist so I can see the differences that real artist and art thiefs have? AI art is mostly realistic and you can see small mistakes that an real artist would never ever do such as: Hair strands mixing with the skin, clothes or in the backound in a weird way. AI can't do hands and turns it into 6- 10 fingered hand instead. AI turns anything that AI can't recognize into something very weird- for example: If it can't recognise a button on a clothing it makes it into a small guy holding onto something. Real artist would either nor draw buttons or try their best to make it look like a button, they would never turn it into a weird looking mini demon guy or a creepy smiling thing that certainly doesn't look like a button. You see all those mistakes in this artwork from someone else:
https://pin.it/qRcUtpR
3 months ago the same artist posted an artwork of Nyx and... something that is suppose to be a little snowman I'm guessing? Because AI couldn't recognise what it is it decided to turn it into a... bird looking creature? See it for yourself -> artworks_by_rokii
You can also compare those artworks to all the other AI creators and you see how similar they are. Look out mostly for the hair mistakes because those are shown more often.
Maybe all I'm saying is... if you're arguing about art.. at least argue about real art 💀
It actually blows my mind that anyone creating AI can argue that it's entirely their work. Unless you started with a blank canvas, used a digital pen or brush or pencil or chalk or whatever to create every single stroke, then it's NOT YOUR ART! Sure, people use photoshop but they're editing lines they created. Sure people use drawing tools in programs but again, they are the ones who hand select each and every single thing that exists on that photo. They make every single decision and use tools to achieve the effect they want. It's no different than personally using a ruler to create a straight line versus asking someone else to draw you a straight line. The second you have used the assistance of another person is the second that work is no longer truly your own. An AI artist can manipulate the results all they want but if the initial canvas did not start out blank and was instead auto populated with work that multiple others created, the work can not be claimed as their own. I really don't understand what's so difficult for people to understand about that concept. Yes, artists take inspiration from other works of art. Van Gogh painted Starry Night. If I were to recreate starry night, no one is arguing that I'm using his work as a template. But, if my hand creates every single brush stroke, it is still my work though I can't necessarily claim it as my idea and I'd have to give credit to Van Gogh for where I got the inspiration from. But it was still my own talent that made it so I could paint something that looked like the thing he painted. AI is not someone having any real talent recreating an image. It's someone using others talent and an algorithm to jump them forward to the 80% mark and they just adjust it from there.

[ID: Two sets of image comparisons, testing three Pixel Filter width values on two camera angles of a 3D render. The consistent information is listed across the bottom of each comparison, including the credit:
Models, textures, and tests by CJ Gladback Pixel Filter Type: Blackman-Harris Cycles Render Engine, Blender 4.0.2 512 samples denoised and mixed with original in compositing
The compositor nodes overlay the images to the right of this information; the rendered image is denoised using its normal and albedo passes, mixed with a factor of 0.8 over the original image, denoised again, and mixed over the original image with a factor of 0.975 for the final composite.
Both comparison shots feature a green plaid blanket in golden hour lighting, folded around the shaft of a cane and fastened with a leather belt. The first shot is closer up and from above, focused on the curved folds of the blanket where they bend around the cane. The second is from a glancing angle to the top of the blanket and further away. Each image compares a pixel filter width of 0.5 px, 1.5 px, and 2.5 px. In both, there's a strong wave-like pattern called moire in the 0.5 px example, most visible where the weave of the fabric is compressed, either from bending away from the camera or shrinking into the distance, on the folded blanket edges and, in the oblique shot, on the top of each blanket layer. The 1.5 px example nearly eliminates the moire, only a ghost of curves cutting through the woven patten where the 0.5 px distortion was most extreme. The 2.5 px examples are both very soft, completely eliminating the moire but also smoothing the details of other materials in the shot. End ID]
Yesterday I learned what the Pixel Filter in Cycles does! It would make sense if I had heard of it (I've followed plenty of people trying to create 3D pixel art and the automatic antialiasing that the filter represents would have to affect that). But I don't recall ever touching that set of parameters in the Film render settings before.
That changed yesterday while I was being productive in anything but my handful of equally-high-priority items and happened to open Blender Artists to check their support section for questions I could answer. And lo! There was one about Blender seeming to post-process renders to the detriment of a fabric texture, even when the artist had requested no denoising nor other compositing functions. I've had my share of suspected glitches when Blender's image viewer just doesn't handle an irregular zoom well, but the artist confirmed it had the same issue when viewed outside the app. How bizarre! Obviously it required some research.
Thankfully, from photography, monitor troubleshooting, and more™ I'm quite familiar with the term moire (shoutout to my once-classmate Hannah Paz-Westbrook who's done whole series' of paintings exploring it). So I was outfitted with a helpfully specific search term that turned up a past struggle with moire on a dense pattern rendered in Cycles -- and their solution was to render a larger image and scale down and widen the "pixel filter." I had to look up where that even was and in the process found an old discussion on what it does.
But the new knowledge wasn't complete until I could do a few tests to see how it could be applied...and once you have your tests and images are nicely labeled for your own reference, obviously you gotta publish them. So behold!
It's not surprising that the default 1.5 px width works best with this blanket and its surroundings at this level of zoom when I had already dialed in all the normals' intensity with zero awareness of this value to tweak. But it will definitely help me in future high-detail cloth renders to know that there is another control to work with when the moire comes to play.
