The Star Market
Marie Howe
The people Jesus loved were shopping at the Star Market yesterday.
An old lead-colored man standing next to me at the checkout
breathed so heavily I had to step back a few steps.
Even after his bags were packed he still stood, breathing hard and
hawking into his hand. The feeble, the lame, I could hardly look at them:
shuffling through the aisles, they smelled of decay, as if the Star Market
had declared a day off for the able-bodied, and I had wandered in
with the rest of them—sour milk, bad meat—
looking for cereal and spring water.
Jesus must have been a saint, I said to myself, looking for my lost car
in the parking lot later, stumbling among the people who would have
been lowered into rooms by ropes, who would have crept
out of caves or crawled from the corners of public baths on their hands
and knees begging for mercy.
If I touch only the hem of his garment, one woman thought,
could I bear the look on his face when he wheels around?

Jesus me mostrou a verdade!
Se não fosse Ele, até hoje eu estaria pensando que tinha uma doença incurável!
Jesus me levou a verdade total!
A verdade de Jesus reinará em nosso tempo. Eu declaro que toda a mentira virá a luz e será revelada a verdade do Pai. E a verdade nos libertará!

"And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,/ And said unto them, It is written, 'My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.'"

Christ's initial warning that he gave concerning the end times was, "Be Not Deceived" . . . His foremost sign regarding the end times was of False Teachers. . . (Matthew 24:4-5; Mark 13:5-6; Luke 21:8)
It's upsetting and disappointing how many in the Body receives these who are exactly who Christ forewarns: But, the apostasy of the Church or the "great falling away" is too a sign prior to the "man of sin" (II Thessalonians 2:3-4; I Timothy 4:1; II Timothy 4:3-4). There is a direct correlation between the two.
🤔 Only with God can a man have great success but yet fail or be lost . . . Men will rally behind one who is telling them what they want or allowing them to be how they want in the name of God . . . Churches flourish like this. But, "BE NOT DECEIVED. God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7).
In the Church, in most instances, when we emphatically proclaim that one can really sang or that one can really preach, what is actually being praised or being stated is that "This person can really entertain you" . . .
I just keep silent, watch, and think. In these deceptive times, "Don't be deceived." You can't follow a crowd and find God. Much love 💝
📖 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. - 2 Timothy 3:13-15

For if there be no Christ there be no God; and I’d there be no God we are not, for there could have been no creation. But there is a God, and he is Christ, and he cometh in the fullness of his own time.

by Daniel Brueske and John Lee | We believe that the term “service,” as applied to the mission of Jesus, must be understood in a nuanced and refined manner. Its overuse in our era has cheapened the concept. But in Jesus’s case, “service” meant embracing the most shameful and despised fate of his time...

Practicing His Presence
“It is only by remembering that ‘Another lives in me’ that we can die daily to that old, false, usurping self, and that we can continue to be drawn further in and higher up into the life of God. To ‘practice the Presence’ is to continually call to mind this great reality.
Once again we see that the secret is incarnational. One dies to the old self and lives to the new by continuing to receive of the Other Life. Even our prayers, in true prayer, are really His prayers. He speaks to Himself through us. And it is the same with all the virtues and all the fruits and gifts of the Spirit. All are equally derivative. We must never forget this, and we must always practice this Holy Presence, even though we can do it only for moments at first.
This really is the whole of Christianity. Christianity isn’t a covenant or a law but it is a life - it is Another Life being lived in and through us. Our human spirit, when in union with this Holy Other, is the higher self. The ‘practice of the Presence’ leads to the knowledge of this higher self, and away from either the wrong kind of self-love or self-hatred. It is in this New Life that we find our souls as well as our spirits - indeed, the whole of our nature - raised.
This is why we do not need to fear our intellects, our imaginations, our emotions, our intuitive beings, or our bodies. We simply offer them wholly to God and find them revitalized and redirected. By the principle of the incarnation the Highest is transposed into the lowest, and man finds himself resurrected in every faculty of his being. This is the true, the whole self.”

Some people have complained about The Chosen creators not doing enough to condemn Mormonism. Will The Chosen get into what Jesus could have thought about something like Mormonism?
Ah. Mhmm.
So, Dallas has responded to the Mormon issue several times, and while I haven't gotten the chance to watch his videos on the issue, I'm grateful for his efforts and his honesty.
The thing is.
Mormonism is not actually a denomination of Christianity. If you look up the list of basic requirements for being a Christian, they don't meet all of them. And they've added stuff on as well. Which makes them a cult. And heretical. BUT. Many many of the members do believe that it is a denomination of Christianity, and witness that to others! Which makes it a sticky thing to address.
The thing I most admire about this show is how dedicated it is to bringing together ALL followers of Christ from ALL denominations around the world. An organization in which the majority of the members do not realize what they are, and what they are not, is inevitably going to get involved, and honestly? I would think it is better that these people are touched by it in some way than if they are not. If someone innocently believes in their hearts that they are following Christ, then He will not discount them. We already know that Jesus is Eternal Love, and that He offers this love to EVERY human being, however we try to pursue it. As for those who are aware of what they belong to, and are getting involved with ulterior motives, may God have mercy on them. Christians are right to be worried at the idea of their beliefs possibly trying to interact with ours. (You can find stuff on YouTube about what the higher-level Mormons believe and teach, and it is utterly terrifying.) I think that all we can do is treat them with kindness, pray for them, and set an example by how we pursue truth without compromise in our own lives.
"Courage, dear heart".
We have the benefit of knowing that Truth already won. The gates of Lies will not prevail against our advances.
Pax Christi.
