God’s Judgment on the Ungodly
1 This letter comes from Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and James' brother. I am writing to those who are called and loved by God the Father, and who are kept safe by Jesus Christ: 2 May God's mercy, peace, and love increase in your experience!
3 My friends, I was already looking forward to writing to you about the salvation that we share. But now I need to write urgently to you and encourage you to vigorously defend the truth about God, given once and for all time to God's holy people. 4 For some people have quietly crept in among you. They were written about and condemned a long time ago, for they are wicked people who pervert God's grace, turning it into a license to immorality, while also denying our Lord and master Jesus Christ.
5 Even though you already know this, I want to remind you that though the Lord saved his people out of the land of Egypt, later he still destroyed those who disbelieved. 6 Even those angels that were not content with their God-given positions but abandoned their rightful places—he has placed them in eternal chains of darkness until the great Day of Judgment. 7 In just the same way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the towns nearby that pursued immorality and perverted sex are provided as an example of those that experience the punishment of eternal fire.
8 Likewise these dreamers pollute their bodies, disregard authority, and insult heavenly beings. 9 Even the archangel Michael, when he was arguing with the devil over Moses' body, didn't dare to condemn him with a slanderous insult, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you.” 10 But these people ridicule whatever they don't understand; and what they do understand they instinctively follow like unthinking animals—this is what destroys them. 11 They're in terrible trouble! For they have followed Cain's way. Like Balaam and his delusion, they have abandoned themselves to the profit motive. Like Korah and his rebellion, they have destroyed themselves. 12 These people spoil your fellowship meals, for they are selfish shepherds that don't have the slightest sense of shame—they only take care of themselves. They're clouds blown along by the wind that bring no rain. They're bare trees without fruit—twice dead, pulled out by the roots. 13 They're violent ocean waves, foaming in their own disgrace. They're false stars, doomed forever to utter darkness.
14 Enoch, seven generations on from Adam, spoke prophetically about these people: “Look! The Lord is coming, together with thousands and thousands of his holy ones 15 to judge everyone, to reveal all the wicked things people have done, and all the terrible things hostile sinners have said against him.” 16 Such people are grumblers, always complaining. They follow their own evil desires, speaking boastfully about themselves, and flattering others to get what they want.
17 But you, my dear friends, please remember what you were told by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 18 They explained to you that in the last times mockers would come, following their own wicked desires. 19 They cause divisions; they are worldly people who don't have the Spirit. 20 But you, my friends, are to build yourselves up through your trust in God. Pray in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves safe in God's love, and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ who brings eternal life. 22 Show kindness to those who doubt. 23 Save those you can by snatching them out of the fire. Show mercy—but with great care, hating even the “clothing” that is contaminated by sinful human nature.
24 Now to him who can keep you from falling, and who can bring you into his glorious presence without fault, and with great joy, 25 to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time, now, and forever. Amen. — Jude 1 | Free Bible Version (FBV) The Free Bible Version is a project of Free Bible Ministry; Copyright © 2018, Free Bible Ministry. All rights reserved. There's a difference between the everyday church-goer who gets doctrine wrong and the pastor who boasts 40+ years of ministry and gets it wrong. The first is a poor sinner, the latter is a wolf.

Replacement Theology, Spiritual Jews, New Covenant Theology = Antisemitism
God Has Not Replaced The Nation Of Israel, The Jewish People. Beware of New Covenant Theology it = Replacement Theology a False Doctrine, a False Gospel. This False Teaching claims God is done with the Jews the Nation of Israel and the Christian Church has Replaced them. The Church now gets all the Covenants God made with Israel. Wolves Among the Sheep
Acts 20.29-30 (ESV)
I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock, and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.
Our family includes a very large and opinionated cat named Squirt.  He was part of a feral group, but when I went into the back yard to shoo away the sire, one little guy disobeyed his mama's order to hide and, instead, stopped, turned toward me, and raised his nose to catch my scent.  I reached down and picked him up.  That was  fourteen years ago, and he's been with us ever since.
Why am I writing about a cat in what is supposed to be a Bible study? Because a lot of Christians are just like that cat.  Like most cats, Squirt loves sunshine and begs to be allowed outside on the back porch, where he can bask in the warm sun.  However, when the temperature drops to freezing and the wind off the mountain picks up, I tell him, 'No.  It's too cold.'
But the allure of the sunshine is just too hard to resist, so he goes to a south-facing window and stretches out on the sunny windowsill, where he naps in the warm sun.  He emerges from behind the drapes toasty warm, and he simply can't understand why I've insisted that it's cold outside.
A lot of Christians are just like that cat.  They go to a church service on Sunday morning, and if they come out feeling warm and fuzzy, they assume everything is just fine.  They don't bother to read the Bible to see whether what they've been told agrees with Scripture.
The Church has been under attack from its inception.  Lately, the attacks have grown much worse, for we are entering the last days of this age, and Satan knows that his time is short.
We have always had false teachers among us.  Even so, it grieves me to discover that some of the teachers whom I admired when I first came to the faith have been seduced by the world, have been lured away from the true faith, and are now preaching heresy.  I weep for them and I weep for those who have blindly followed them down that wide, easy road that leads to destruction.
I would not have believed the heresy they are teaching, had I not heard it with my own ears.
Our Lord warned us:
'Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.  For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.'  – Matthew 7.13-14
He immediately followed that with a warning:
'Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.  You will know them by their fruits.  Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?'  – Matthew 7.15-16
Do not follow blindly those who present themselves as preachers and teachers, though they may lead a congregation of thousands, for the world has invaded the Church, and many of its leaders have been seduced by money and fame.
I advise you once again to emulate the Bereans:
… they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see  whether these things were so.  – Acts 17.11
No matter how sweet the words sound to you, or how much the teachings tickle your ears, you must search the Word of God to see whether the things you are hearing are really true—or if they're only clever lies to lead you astray.
And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.  – Acts 20.32

“Art thou become like unto us?”
Isaiah 14:10
What must be the apostate professor’s doom when his naked soul appears before God? How will he bear that voice, “Depart, ye cursed; thou hast rejected me, and I reject thee; thou hast played the harlot, and departed from me: I also have banished thee forever from my presence, and will not have mercy upon thee.” What will be this wretch’s shame at the last great day when, before assembled multitudes, the apostate shall be unmasked? See the profane, and sinners who never professed religion, lifting themselves up from their beds of fire to point at him. “There he is,” says one, “will he preach the gospel in hell?” “There he is,” says another, “he rebuked me for cursing, and was a hypocrite himself!” “Aha!” says another, “here comes a psalm-singing Methodist—one who was always at his meeting; he is the man who boasted of his being sure of everlasting life; and here he is!” No greater eagerness will ever be seen among Satanic tormentors, than in that day when devils drag the hypocrite’s soul down to perdition. Bunyan pictures this with massive but awful grandeur of poetry when he speaks of the back-way to hell. Seven devils bound the wretch with nine cords, and dragged him from the road to heaven, in which he had professed to walk, and thrust him through the back-door into hell. Mind that back-way to hell, professors! “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith.” Look well to your state; see whether you be in Christ or not. It is the easiest thing in the world to give a lenient verdict when oneself is to be tried; but O, be just and true here. Be just to all, but be rigorous to yourself. Remember if it be not a rock on which you build, when the house shall fall, great will be the fall of it. O may the Lord give you sincerity, constancy, and firmness; and in no day, however evil, may you be led to turn aside.

False notions on how to follow Jesus
COMMENT: To follow the Lord there is more to it than just faith. It takes action to prove our compliance – to become a disciple it’s a requirement to be baptised, fully immersed with water. Think of how Jesus was baptised. Afterwards he set the standard – he said pick up you cross and follow me, meaning surrender your life to Jehovah. He spent his last 3 and a half years preaching and…

The Spirit of Christian Love
1 The elder, to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not I only, but also all those who know the truth; 2 for the truth's sake, which remains in us, and it will be with us forever: 3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 I rejoice greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, even as we have been commanded by the Father. 5 And now I ask you, dear lady, not as though I wrote to you a new commandment, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 This is love, that we should walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, even as you heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8 Watch yourselves, that you do not lose the things which we have accomplished, but that you receive a full reward. 9 Whoever goes on and does not remain in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. He who remains in the teaching, the same has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you, and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not welcome him, 11 for he who welcomes him participates in his evil works.
12 Having many things to write to you, I do not want to do so with paper and ink, but I hope to come to you, and to speak face to face, that our joy may be made full.
13 The children of your chosen sister greet you. — 2 John 1 | New Heart English Bible (NHEB) The New Heart English Bible is in the public domain. Warnings Against False Teachers
“I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naïve.”
Romans 16:17-18
Paul addresses false teachers in all of his letters, and is always warning his readers to be on the lookout for them, that their interests are not in growing fellow believers into further practical and applicable knowledge in Christ but to make themselves look and feel wise. To be the center of attention, and even some, deliberately lying to their audience for some twisted satisfaction in being able to convince people of their lies. Or even those who have a terrible misunderstanding or blindness to the truth of God's word, His doctrine, and even His commandments and therefore lead others away with their self satisfied assured ignorance.
“for such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites'.”
The best translation here is belly instead of appetite. And the Greek word for that is koilia (koy-lee'-ah) can mean the physical organ but also “the inner man” and its origin is koilos which means hollow.
Jesus also uses this word when he is talking about how food is not what makes us clean or unclean, but rather the contents of our heart and desires is what does so.
And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” But Peter said to him, “Explain the parable to us.” And he said, “Are you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”
Matthew 15:10-20
This is why it is so important that we know God's word for ourselves. That is why the Holy Spirit is with us, to help combat the whispered enticing lies of the world trying to convince us that parts of the bible aren't true because they don’t sound “loving, kind, or nice.”  We do not want to defile ourselves with lies and the slandering of God's character.
For the bible to be called a sword is so appropriate because it needs to be sharp to cut down the supernatural enemy. We don’t want to ever use God's word to tear someone down however, and all truth needs to be delivered in love. Our tongue is described just as sharp, and so we need to make sure God's word is sharpening our tongue, our words, in turn to be used properly and in a way that is honoring to God.
“Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting,”
2 John 9-10
John says to not even greet them, let alone allow them into your home. It can even be read as the home. The early church didn’t have separate buildings for worship and teaching, but met in each other's homes. So John is most likely saying here  “do not let them into the Lords home to give them a foot hold to spread their deceit”
We also know that the word of God spread because of those traveling on foot (going on ahead), town to town, often staying with fellow church members during their missionary work. John's concern here is allowing these false traveling teachers into your home, into the church, that it could be perceived as an agreement with their beliefs.
Earlier in his letter however he reminds the readers that we are to love as God commanded us to. Love God and follow his commandments and all work for His glory and our growth. If our feet are solidly set on Jesus, and our words prepped with love I know the Holy Spirit can help us through any situation we may come across that could have us interacting with a false teacher seeking to drag us away from Christ.
And this does not mean we are to cut ourselves off from unbelievers (how else are they to become believers) but that we should be careful with how we interact with them, especially if it's a believer weaker in faith, for our own spiritual health.
we are responsible for the words we use, our interpretations of God's word, and how we share our knowledge with others. We need to be intune with God -be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God (Romans 12:2a)- so that we don’t take the proverbial mic from Him, misleading people with our own corrupted opinions. (Corrupted in the sense that our sin nature is not God's nature.)
Those who deliberately twist God's word for their own gain will have a hefty consequence to answer to, due to the grave sin of leading others to death. Teaching carries a weight of responsibility for others. So ensure you know God’s word as He wrote it, and don’t try to twist it to justify yours or others sins.

14 Bible Verses About False Teachers, False Prophets
Correct and sound doctrine is crucial to salvation and growth in spiritual maturity. It comes as no surprise that God warns us many times in Scripture to be aware of false teaching. Christians need to be able to recognize false teachers in order to know when they are being led down a path that God did not intend! What does the Bible say about False Prophets? God describes a false prophet as one…

May, 17 (Morning) Devotion
“So to walk even as he walked.”
1 John 2:6
Why should Christians imitate Christ? They should do it for their own sakes. If they desire to be in a healthy state of soul—if they would escape the sickness of sin, and enjoy the vigour of growing grace, let Jesus be their model. For their own happiness’ sake, if they would drink wine on the lees, well refined; if they would enjoy holy and happy communion with Jesus; if they would be lifted up above the cares and troubles of this world, let them walk even as he walked. There is nothing which can so assist you to walk towards heaven with good speed, as wearing the image of Jesus on your heart to rule all its motions. It is when, by the power of the Holy Spirit, you are enabled to walk with Jesus in his very footsteps, that you are most happy, and most known to be the sons of God. Peter afar off is both unsafe and uneasy. Next, for religion’s sake, strive to be like Jesus. Ah! poor religion, thou hast been sorely shot at by cruel foes, but thou hast not been wounded one-half so dangerously by thy foes as by thy friends. Who made those wounds in the fair hand of Godliness? The professor who used the dagger of hypocrisy. The man who with pretences, enters the fold, being nought but a wolf in sheep’s clothing, worries the flock more than the lion outside. There is no weapon half so deadly as a Judas-kiss. Inconsistent professors injure the gospel more than the sneering critic or the infidel. But, especially for Christ’s own sake, imitate his example. Christian, lovest thou thy Saviour? Is his name precious to thee? Is his cause dear to thee? Wouldst thou see the kingdoms of the world become his? Is it thy desire that he should be glorified? Art thou longing that souls should be won to him? If so, imitate Jesus; be an “epistle of Christ, known and read of all men.”
