somehow someone else has my phone number on their nhs file which means I've been getting all their communications for TWO YEARS. apparently they have a therapy appointment on monday so I sure hope they've got that written down somewhere since I'm the one getting texts about it

#the weirdest thing is they're local to my area too so it started when i was away at uni and got a phone call from my local hospital #and i freaked out thinking someone in my family was there but it turned out they were trying to call this other person #so i explained at the time it was the wrong number #but clearly the message did not get passed on #because since then I've had various vaccine reminder texts and prescription collection reminders #i tried contacting the pharmacy and the gp practice to be like 'please tell this person when you see them they have the wrong number down' #but nobody is listening so every so often i get told about this stranger's medical information #and it's always referring to the same hospitals and services that i would use because they live nearby #it's all very disconcerting #talking

#i dont need the best quality portable charger ever #cause i only need it for this one 18 hour trip #normally i would have access to a charger for a trip like that #post posting #i know my fear of things blowing up is unreasonable but when i was little i swear i heard my dad on the phone with some customer service #asking if his phone was gonna blow up cause it was old or he got some warning message or smth #and he also told me that if i put the batteries in something the wrong way it would explode #and ive also heard stories of peoples computer chargers catching fire and melting #i just really dont wanna get blown up on this field trip but i also need to be able to text my parents 😭

Ooh, that sounds ideal tbh :'D I could get used to following more people if I wasn't constantly reminded how many posts I haven't seen. And my God, I wish I figured out how to get this on my phone - I have ALL notifications off but no matter how many tutorials I go through, I cannot get rid of those tiny little numbers next to the app icons. Not just for Tumblr but for everything, I don't want to see how many unread e-mails I have, how many messages I haven't checked, I want to check all these things on my terms at time of my choosing, will we be ever free from these constant reminders how avoidant we've become due to the hyperconectivity of our time-

I'm finally catching up with my voicemail messages and marveling about the generation gap with my parent's generation. like, if there is time-critical information you want me to know, please don't put it in a voicemail. I'm not going to get it any time soon unless you text it to me, because i just don't check my voicemail all that regularly. hmm maybe this isn't a generation thing, maybe its just a personal i-hate-voicemail thing. anyway

#mar.txt #this is /j obviously i'm just trying to be lighthearted to cope with the Anger ha ha ha :) #oh the urge to throw my phone as hard as possible into a hard surface. but i cannot. not Yet at least. but once i get a job and can get a #new one......... this one's getting destroyed through Brute Force :) #lets see how many times did i have to re-login and redo Everything because the verification thing wouldn't accept my id picture bc it was #'too blurry' so i had to take a picture with my phone camera but i had to clear app caches first because this phone is constantly at 99-100 #storage space. but Then because it fucking sucks ass and if i Breathe in the direction of another app whatever app i just tabbed off of #crashes and i have to reopen it. i had to log back in Again which meant waiting for the text message verification code Again (i live in the #middle of nowhere with a phone that Refuses to use the wifi for calls/texts and instead only uses the shitty cell service) #because Apparently tumblr users aren't allowed to stay logged in nor log in with a password. and Then i had to take a picture of the back #of my id too and i tried using my phone camera straight from the gallery option when i clicked upload. but because my phone sucks That also #crashed my browser and made me log back in. this isnt even counting btw how many times i TRIED to do it through tumblr but it kept stalling #and making me back all the way out log all the way back in and wait on it again for it to go further so i said fuck it and went to my #browser to do it. so i log back in and then i find out not only did attempting to take that picture crash my browser but it didnt even #actually TAKE the picture. so i have to click back over to my camera app Again and take the picture Again and log back in and wait the eons #it takes for things on this phone to load AGAIN. and then i Finally. FINALLY get it completed. #oh but did you think that was all? oh no i STILL had to log back in and load all the way back in Again through tumblr one final time to tel #the app i had done all that! and THEN i could turn tipping on. right? #no. i then had to close the app and reopen it again for it to Let me enable it. otherwise it just tried to take me back to stripe then #proceeded to give me an error message when i tried. great job tumblr #anyways that was infuriating #lmao i forgot to finish the original thought and check #anyways. around 7 or 8 times. that took almost a half hour of struggling i'm pretty sure. enraging☺

#literally. they are messaging me and the only way i find out is that i also get a text with #a frankly very suspicious line abt how i got a message and to reply here click this link #and i can’t reply to the text itself because its. yknow. just an automated system #so i click the link and it takes me to my web browser instead of the actual app #because this page does not exist on the app i guess. even tho i cannot stress enough. it is a service they provide #unusable if you’re not on desktop i guess #i hate it here #mine
