Another day brings another photo shoot. Waking up early to model for another brand was your ultimate pleasure. Being the center of attention wasn’t mandatory for you, but you had a liking for it. You had a feeling your day would be great today, and you weren’t wrong.
You were modeling for one of your favorite brands, Juicy Couture. You also had a party later. Satoru had begged you to come because he claims he hasn’t ‘seen you in forever. pleaseee, i miss you.’
Why, one may ask?
In reality, you were feeling a bit overwhelmed and needed a way to escape from the awful feeling. What’s a better way to do that than to distract yourself with what you’re most skilled at, being a star?
It’s been a few weeks since the night with Suguru, and you haven’t seen him since then. You were entirely responsible for this, but you would never admit it. You ghosted him, blocked his phone number, and avoided buying weed from Satoru to avoid seeing him again.
This is for the best, you thought. He could have made a woman insane with the way he slutted you out that day, and you didn’t want to deal with the consequences of his dick. Suguru had no idea how crazy you could get when you were attached, and you honestly believed you were saving him somehow.
The fact is, you were afraid. You were afraid to make a commitment because you were afraid of losing your heart again. From what Suguru looked like, it seemed like he was someone who could break hearts. Attachment issues can cause you to become overly bound to someone you really like. You made an effort to prevent that from happening before it even started.
The first day without any communication with him was fine. You carried on with your usual routine, except for one thing..he haunted your dreams that night. He penetrated both your mind and your pussy. He ate you and sucked all over your pussy lips with such haphazardness that you believed it was real. You pictured your spongy spot being abused by his fingertips until you cried and drowned him in cream and the remainder of your juices.
The next day, you awoke to a dripping pussy and sweat falling down your chest. You brushed it off, believing that it was just the result of having good sex. As time passed without you talking to him, the dreams became more intense. There were times when you would wake up in the middle of the night and couldn’t even go back to sleep until you made yourself cum. The image of him obscured your mind as your smaller fingers barely helped you reach your peak.
You had half a brain to believe this nigga was putting a spell on you. Did he really have an impact on you so much that you had to dream about him every night, even after trying to completely erase him from your mind? Did he? You snapped out of your thoughts as the photographer told you the next position he wanted you in. Get it together bitch.
Suguru probably didn’t even notice; he was probably with the next bitch right now.
How wrong you are.

“Satoru, I swear to god, if you don’t tell her to unblock me-”
A long sigh comes from the aforementioned man. This has to be the tenth time he has heard those words escape Suguru’s mouth today. He couldn’t take it. It’s been just a week since he had sex with you, he realized you blocked him after the first day. So you can imagine how many threats were sent Satoru’s way at your expense.
“I can’t do that! She told me if I mention you, she’ll block me too!”
Suguru just clenched his teeth and mumbled quiet curses under his breath with a frown, “This is pointless. I’m going to her house.”
“She’s not there. She told me she’s crashing at a friend’s place. And no, I have no idea where that friend lives.” He utters out, anticipating what the long-haired man would say.
“So, what the fuck do I do then?” Suguru swears he’s close to pulling out his hair.
“..Move on?”
“I’ll beat the fuck out of you right now.”
Satoru grumbled against the blunt that he was smoking, almost coughing because it hit his lungs a little harder than expected. He swears that both of you have put more stress on him than when he was pulled over yesterday.
“Oh, that’s just rude. But, fine. How about this? I’ll throw a party, beg her to come, and just conveniently forget to mention you’ll be there.”
Before Suguru starts to nitpick at his plan, he quickly finishes his statement with a grin, “And to make it even more interesting, I’ll tell her you absolutely hate parties.”
Suguru removes the burning joint from Satoru’s hand with a sly smile, “Looks like you’re not dumb after all.”
He can only roll his eyes fondly while his best friend quietly laughs and responds to him.
“Well, what can I say? I do have my moments of brilliance.”
- - -
You didn’t expect the time to get ready for the party to come sooner. You were in your friend’s bathroom, smoothing out the final strands of your side part bust down. Your makeup was already done and set. Your outfit had you smiling already. Your skirt is black leather and of course mini. The lowest cut white tank you could find that beautifully shows your leopard print bra.
After setting down the flat iron, you put on hoop earrings, gold bangles, and necklaces that match your outfit. To complete the look, your flawlessly manicured feet are adorned with clear strapless stripper heels. Tonight, someone was going home with you. To take your mind off the man who would not leave your dreams alone, you needed another good fuck.
“Yo, you ready? Uber’s here.”
You heard your friend’s voice from the living room. You quickly spray yourself with Chanel Coco perfume and hurry toward your companion, who is holding the door for you.
As expected, there were more than two hundred people present at another one of Satoru’s estates. You could hear the music for at least two blocks before you arrived. You can have your own opinion about the man, but the one thing you cannot say is that he lacks the ability to throw a party. People were dancing outside due to the high crowding inside.
Your friend holds your hand and takes you inside, already clapping and swaying a bit because she pre-grammed. The first hour went well. A few shots of Tequila and some Jack Daniel’s were already in your system as you and your friend danced in the sea of bodies. And the best of all, no sight of Suguru. It’s not like you were looking for him, of course not.
“Sis, you made it! Eugh, I’ve missed you like crazy.” You sense pressure on your shoulders and recognize him as Satoru based on his voice. The alcohol makes you realize how much you missed him as you flip around and bury your face in his chest.
Your words slur a bit, “Toru, missed you s’much.”
The scent of alcohol on your breath makes him grimace. Your brother grabs your shoulders and pushes your body towards the nearest wall, which happens to be next to the bathroom.
“Yeah, you definitely need some water. Seriously, how can you even stomach that stuff?”
You laugh at his disdain for drinking. He sees the friend you came with flirting with a guy at the opposite corner, and he thinks she looks pretty safe. He’ll still keep an eye on her in case he tries anything.
“Stay put. I’ll fetch you something non-alcoholic, lightweight.”
You sigh and nod, observing him as he leaves. You realize that the leather skirt you wore had pockets, and as you shuffle around, you feel something in one of them. You gasp. An exquisitely rolled pink joint. As you grab a blue lighter on the floor, which is probably Satoru’s, your eyes twinkle as you walk up to his room.
Even if you’re a bit intoxicated, you can still walk in a straight line, passing by many people on your way there. Once you find the door, you swiftly close it and breathe a sigh of relief upon seeing that there is no one inside. Opening his window, you take no hesitation in sparking up, and for some reason, the weed completely drowns out the tipsy feeling you had just moments ago.
You don’t hear when the door creaks open. Or even when it closes again with a click, indicating it was locked. The tension caused by someone sitting next to you on the bed causes you to immediately flinch and turn your head to the perpetrator.
“Miss me, sweetheart?”
You try to stammer out a response, opening and closing your mouth for a few seconds now. You’re so shocked to see him, and you’re sure once you find a way out of here, you’re going to beat Satoru’s ass for not telling you that he would be here.
He raises his hand and pushes a water bottle in your direction, “Have a drink.”
You hesitantly grab his bottle and look away, completely missing the way his eyes are obscuring your body with a hazy gaze. The thumping music is drowning out Suguru’s thoughts. Thoughts of.. fuck, you look good tonight. He’s not embarrassed to admit he missed you, your supple thighs and pretty face. After being away from you for weeks, it dawns on him now. Oh, he was going to ruin you.
After drinking half the plastic bottle, you settle down and ash the blunt from not taking a hit for a while. Suguru’s eyes never leave you for a second as you finally find the words to say, “Didn’t expect to see you here.”
He chortles, “You’ve been quite elusive, sweetheart. Care to explain your disappearing act?”
You stay quiet because what could you say, really?
‘Sorry, I ghosted you, but you fucked me so good, and I didn’t want to get attached.’?
That’s not you. Being around Suguru can make you feel nervous and vulnerable. That night felt like he stripped you beyond just your clothes and saw your soul completely. You’ve never experienced anything like that before.
“Should I fuck it out of you instead?” He asks with the same calmness as if he were discussing the weather.
“I don’t know what you want me to say.” Your soft whisper fills the air.
You watch him pretend to think and make fun of him while rolling your eyes, “Hm, let’s start with why you blocked me after screaming at the top of your lungs that you’re mine.”
You give a long sigh before you ultimately utter, “I didn’t want to get attached. Last thing I need is another family filing a missing person’s report over me. I’ve been through the cheating mess once, not doing it again.”
There it goes again. Vulnerability seeping through whenever Suguru was around you. And Suguru’s not dumb, he can sense how difficult it was for those words to even tumble past your glossed lips.
Despite the loud music, there is a silence between you. It ends when Suguru violently grasps your chin and presses his lips on yours with a nasty kiss that leaves you with a pleasant sigh.
A peck. “Do y’know..”
Another peck. “..how fucking crazy it drove me..”
One long smooch. “..not hearing from you.”
He’s desperately pulling your tank top off you, effortlessly clipping off your bra, “Could barely sleep.”
He instantly wraps your nipple around his soft lips. You gasp as you tug at his tangled hair with your hands.
He groans, already drunk off a minor taste of you, “Couldn’t even cum properly, sweetheart. Pathetic, right?”
You whimper and squeal when he lifts you up and places your exposed ass right on the growing erection he’s had since you first walked into the party. Your wetness was detectable to him as it dripped through your panties, seeping through the jeans he was wearing. He didn’t even have to tell you to start grinding on him, you did that all on your own.
“Have you thought of me at all? Maybe I should give you a spanking for every..” Spank! “..single” Spank! “..day you haven’t spoken to me.”
You hysterically moan and hiss at the sting as he rubs his hand to soothe your ass.
“M’speaking to you, baby.”
He plays with the straps of your thong from the back, then rips them off in one go. His long fingers snaked down to spread apart your wet pussy lips. He’s playing with you. You realize this. But you’ve been so eager to have him play with you again that you don’t seem to care.
Your shaky words are stammered out with hiccups, “Yes! Every n-night I swear. I kept d-dreaming of you, only you, Sugu!”
With his eyes closed, he mutters a curse under his breath. You dream of him? Every night? Why torture the both of you like this? He wonders. You could’ve had him in your bed every night if you weren’t so fucking stubborn.
Suguru breathes out, “Yeah? What’d I do in those dreams of yours, sweetheart?”
You don’t reply and hide your pretty face in his chest, the fabric of his tee gently touching your skin. You’re feeling embarrassed for thinking of something so obscene. You? Embarrassed? Who is this man? This man is turning you into a piece of putty in his hands. In his beautiful, big hands.
“Better start talking. Won’t fuck you till you tell me.”
You give a pitiful cry when he plunges his long fingers into your plushy, tight hole, keeping them still. Grinding and bucking your hips is a way to get him to move, but it’s not enough. Your hips are securely held by Suguru’s unoccupied hand.
You finally give in, “Y-You would have me on my knees as you- as you ate me f-from the back.”
His laugh makes you even wetter with his fingers, and you have no doubt that he can tell. He gives you a drooling kiss, “Really? I would’ve done that eventually. But you don’t deserve my tongue for what you did. Not now, anyway.”
Your cute whine at such a confession almost makes him reconsider. So, he shuts you up with a quick swat to your ass and a harsh pace of his fingers moving in and out of you, “Shh. What else did I do, sweetheart?”
He was becoming impatient. He wanted to be inside of you, but you were whimpering against him and not giving him answers. This was paining him as much as it was paining you. The hard dick that was leaking pre-cum from his angry red tip in his pants was a testament to that.
Another harsh slap to your sore ass, “You’re really pushing it. Waited weeks just to have you again, and now you’re still making me wait?”
You sob out quickly, “You- You fucked my mouth, and you p-put it- in here,” You shake your hand as you reach for him from behind and pull him towards your puckered hole. Suguru’s surprise was apparent, his eyes widening at your words. You were destined to be his death.
No more waiting.
He couldn’t anymore, not after what you just said. Suguru lifts you up and drops you on the bed. He is clamoring to enter the heaven in between your thighs. He only partially undresses his shirt, showing off his smooth skin and abs. He hastily unbuckles his belt, pushing his jeans down just enough to make his cock slap against his chest with a dirty squelch sound.
He wasn’t even wearing boxers. It’s almost as if he knew he would be stuffed deep into your soft, tight pussy tonight.
The panting man gives your pussy two flicks before he spreads your lips apart and forces his cock inside of you. It’s been quite some time, at least it feels like that, since he’s been inside of you. Yet, your pussy doesn’t hesitate to accommodate his vast girth like it knows who it belongs to. Him. And it will only ever be him if Suguru has a say in it. And you can trust that after he’s done with you, he will.
It’s so filthy. How you desperately buck your hips against him to force him deeper inside you despite whispering against his ear that you “C-can’t take it. Ah! T’much- too f-fucking-”
It’s so sloppy. The sounds you make as he feeds you deep, fast strokes, your pussy being so wet that it’s spreading across your thighs every single time his hips meet yours in a frenzy.
Your eyes roll back in your head as Suguru puts his hand around your throat and squeezes, blocking your airway while frantically saying, “Shut the fuck up. You’re gonna take everything I give this perfect pussy. Understand?”
What more can you do but wail and scream out broken whimpers of ‘Yes!’ and ‘Please.’ What were you even begging for? It couldn’t possibly be any less than what he was feeding your battered pussy as you harshly dug your nails down his back, no doubt leaving scratches. Your mouth is wide open as Suguru fucks you, drool dripping from the side of your plump lips.
He can’t help but think, you never looked more beautiful. You’re being split apart by his fat dick, and through your adorable haze, you’re starting to wonder how you ever went weeks without him. He’s being particularly cruel, not even prepping you and showing no mercy as he finds solace in your shivering body. You’re vulnerable, receiving his ferocious punches against your g-spot.
You feel the all too familiar pressure in your abdomen, it’s burning and spreading throughout your entire quivering body. You try to warn him that you’re gonna cum, try to force the words past your lips, but you can’t. He fucks it out of you every time you try, and the hand on your throat barely lessens its pressure. You are confined to giving a silent scream as your squirts cover the groaning man above you in stream-like spurts.
Suguru keeps going, only grabbing one of your feet that is pressing on his chest and putting it in his mouth, slobbering all over your white toes. He breathes against you, eyes low, watching your chest heaving, “Never pull that stunt again. Swear to me, you’ll never do it again.”
Even as he eased his grip on your throat so you could speak, you were barely coherent. His eyes bore into yours with such intensity that it caused another mini orgasm out of you. His entire length is coated in a beautiful white cream paste that almost makes him lose his mind when he glances down.
Will power. That’s the only reason Suguru hasn’t dumped his heavy load in your cunt already. You squeal, your following words a breathless, “Swear! Never again, p-promise. Want you s’bad Sugu. M’all yours!”
“Yeah, you are. Mine, and only mine. I’ll drill that into your brain all night if I have to. Make damn sure you never even think about pulling some dumb shit like that again.”

chapter 150 thoughts!
Chapters Since The 143 Kiss Happened And Went Entirely Unacknowledged And Unaddressed Count: 7…. ttttttechnically? they don't actually mention that the kiss happened, so i'm counting it…
ladies, gentlemen and those who know better, our long national nightmare is finally over
after… literally I've lost count of how long it's been since we had some proper Aqua introspection, our landmark chapter 150 is almost entirely dedicated to putting us back in Aqua's head (quite literally!) and sort of catching up with him. Some things about Aqua that have been mostly only communicated through showing over telling are explicitly told in text and i'm ngl, there's one or two things where seeing textual confirmation of them got me barking like a fucking dog. Overall, while the pacing of the start of this arc has been bit clunky and this chapter itself isn't free of that either, it actually feels like things are moving and meaningful characterization is happening which after the Movie Arc is a bit of a luxury lol.
As usual, I want to gush about Mengo's art before I touch on anything else. Setting the majority of this chapter in a dream sequence allowed her to do some incredibly fun things with the staging and imagery here. Aqua in that eerie void with his feet drenched in blood… Aqua and Gorou still stuck in that hallway where Ai died, while Ruby has managed to take steps to leave… It's so fucking good.
There were some absolutely top tier Kanas this chapter, too… her little baby tantrum in flashback and that gorgeous final page of her… But I'm getting ahead of myself.
While I described this chapter up top as being communicating things about Aqua, it very much feels to me like it's also serving as closure for Gorou, both in the sense of him as a person and resolving the posthumous arc that he's been going on as part of Aqua. This chapter at last draws a clear and explicit distinction between the two, that Aqua is no longer Gorou, even if he might have been built on the foundation of his identity. Gorou is even described as a 'role' that Aqua has been compelled to play that Gorou himself is now urging him to step down from - he is offering to relinquish Aqua's future back to him… if that's what Aqua wants.
This was how I'd initially read the relationship back in my 143 review - that 'Aqua Hoshino' created from Gorou, his core values and driving ideals, but 18+ years of living a whole new life in a whole new social role, meeting people and having experiences Gorou would never have and literally having a different body and brain in the process have made him different and the sum total of those differences is the person we call Aqua Hoshino. This chapter seems to lean into this interpretation, casting them as a pair of briefly intersecting lines that once crossed but have now diverged onto their own paths.
I also just really liked the dynamic that they were shown to have this chapter. Whenever we've seen this conflict externalized in the past, Gorou has always been this frightening, overwhelming presence whose existence actively prevents Aqua from having any kind of happiness or peace. Here, though, they have a much less adversarial energy, which is a really nice reflection of Aqua being able to gradually start pulling himself out of the shit he's been stuck in. Gorou almost feels fatherly or big brotherly here, not just in how he behaves in regards to Sarina-as-Ruby, but for Aqua, too.
But……….. okay, I'll stop dodging around the elephant in the room now lol
After over 25 chapters of very deliberately avoiding putting us in his headspace, 150 finally puts the ball in Aqua's court vis-a-vis the AquRuby tension and he answers in a way I think would be pretty hard to walk back: That Ruby is his precious sister and that's it. That her feelings for him are the result of her projecting Gorou onto him, chasing a ghost that is fading from this world and that she does not actually love him. Whoof.
This was another thing where seeing it in text felt pretty great. I'd caught pretty early on that there was a weird divide in the way the story was handling the AquRuby dynamic - namely, that there wasn't an AquRuby dynamic and all the supposed ship development of it was largely happening in retrospect, beefing up the intensity of the GRSR relationship and having Ruby express her feelings to Gorou-through-Aqua. When the idea of Aqua and Ruby romance was floated, by contrast, it was always treated like a gag. With the Movie arc being as much of a mess as it was, it was hard to work out what the intentionality of that was (if there was any to begin with) but this seems to make it about as clear as it can be: neither Gorou or Aqua have any had any feelings of that sort of Sarina-through-Ruby and neither of them want to pursue romance with them.
Once again tapping into my powers of Claire-voyance, I already know a lot of people are trying to insist that this is Aqua lying to himself or 'settling' and that he does secretly want a relationship with Ruby for reals! but that really isn't how it comes across to me in the art. He's calm, speaks straightforwardly and without hesitation and makes his point pretty clear. We know how it looks when OnK character lie to themselves and this isn't really it. It would also just be strange for that to be the case when this is a scene about Aqua starting to consider the idea of moving past the things that hurt him and live out his future with someone.
And who that someone is… seems to be coming into focus, but I don't think we'll be getting there quite yet.
I will say that for as much as I liked this as a chapter and as a goodbye for Gorou… it kind of doesn't really make a lot of sense as a resolution for his guilt lol. This chapter frames things in such a way that centers his guilt on Sarina and that seeing her live her life as Ruby has given him some catharsis over it. This is a sweet idea but… that's, uh, not how this was framed anytime prior! When we've seen Gorou intrude on Aqua's happiness before, his self hate and his guilt all center on Ai's death and his inability to save her. The last time we saw him in this capacity in 95, that's what he was saying with his whole chest: that he deserves to suffer as punishment for Ai's suffering, Ai's death. I'm sure that knowing Sarina is living on as Ruby was very cathartic but… it has nothing to do with Ai! Why is this being framed as narratively resolved in this way?
Like… if I chew on it a bit, I can make it make sense: since chapter 1, Gorou has been pretty open about projecting Sarina onto Ai, processing his grief that way and imagining her living vicariously through Ai's success. The idea of Ruby doing the same by continuing Ai's legacy and keeping her radiance alive being the thing that gives him release over Ai's death is interesting and I can understand it emotionally, it just feels like a weird unexplained leap for the narrative to make. I was talking to a friend about it, trying to work it out by externalizing it, and they theorized that this was always the intended endpoint of Gorou's posthumous arc but that the story had drifted in the middle section and Akasaka hadn't quite realigned them. This makes a lot of sense to me and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the case.
I will say that it really bugs me. I've already talked about the ways Ai's importance to the twins as their mother has been gradually downplayed and diluted as the Movie Arc has gone on. In my original post, I attributed this to Akasaka trying to amp up the intensity of the GRSR -> AQRB relationship in a soap opera-y sort of way, but given that this chapter seems to shut down AquRuby, I don't really know if that's the case. In general, Ai has been treated as sort of narratively 'resolved' as of 137, as if that chapter was the capstone to her posthumous character arc and while that might be the case for Ruby… I really don't think it is for Aqua!
It's possible that this is intentional. Aqua still has a shitton of work to do on unfucking his relationship with Ai and the ways his view of her, as implied by the Movie Arc, is warped by his grief. I could see this final stretch of the story being primarily about that - after all, this chapter is about confronting Aqua with the binary choice of revenge or love. In a lot of ways, this has always been what he's struggling with but putting the ball this firmly in his court establishes Ai's death entirely as his own trauma that he has to work through on his own. After all, Aqua might have confronted Gorou in this chapter, but there's a certain someone we also saw in chapter 95 that Aqua hasn't dealt with yet…
I'm talking about Kana, obviously! (ducks thrown tomatoes)
I don't have a ton to say about the AQKN romance setup in this chapter other than… yeah, I kinda saw this coming! It's interesting to see Gorou, the representation of Aqua's guilt and self destruction, be the one to so directly confront him and push him towards trying to find some happiness with her. Aqua quietly noting that he knows the things he likes about Kana and he knows that moving on with her makes a lot of sense - but what makes this especially interesting is the way it mirrors Kana's own reflection on her relationship with Aqua at the end of the chapter.
I like that a lot of the AQKN moments the two reflect on are just… mundane, everyday instances of the two of them stumbling through life together. I've seen a lot of people say AQKN is 'boring' or 'flat' because it lacks the drama of AQAK or AQRB but honestly, I feel like this is what makes it work (when it does work) - their relationship, whatever form it takes, is a safe and quiet space where they can just exist outside the drama and transactional utility of so many of their other relationships.
That said, while those montages mirror each other, what makes them interesting is their divergence point. Kana decides to commit to choosing 'love', with that absolutely gorgeous full page panel, but Gorou hands the knife - the symbol of the violence that blighted Aqua's life - back to him and makes it clear that love or revenge, the choice is now entirely in Aqua's hands. We don't see what he chooses, but… if Oshi no Ko really is a story with a happy ending, I think it's a foregone conclusion. And that makes me really happy.
Not that it's happening anytime soon, lol. I'll be very shocked if Kana's confession doesn't result in a rejection from Aqua, at least at this point in time - there's too much else going on in the story for this to be the right place for Aqua to commit to Kana. She's still an idol, after all and Kamiki is still around. The bets I'm placing right now are that AQKN are going to get their resolution, whatever form it takes, at the Dome concert during or after Kana's graduation.
As for their date… Call me cynical, but I also don't see it going particularly well. After all…
Aren't we forgetting somebody?

now on the more chaotic side….
- fintan figured out how to make a clone of himself.
Tumblr media
- they fought a magic duel and he LOST
Tumblr media
- was getting annoyed at the clone tbh so i made fintan set him on fire repeatedly but that guy would Not die
Tumblr media
(ft vespera just watching…..)
- umm i read that you have to order the clone to do something in order for it to despawn or whatever but by that point the clone was evil apparently so fintan wasn’t able to give it orders anymore???
so now he’s just listed as fintan’s brother?? help???? his name is Nelson. i will find a way to kill him one day i promise you that. fucking nelson pyren. fucker.
Tumblr media
this is a cool picture tho. with the fire & the phoenix & everything.
- next are all my horrible attempts at trying to make fintante happen:
- my first plan of course was to use the infatuate spell. unfortunately i chose gisela for this mission and she is not very high leveled when it comes to magic so the spell backfired. and fintan ended up kissing her instead 💀 obviously i started freaking out and started spamming negative interactions to get the romance bar back down which led to them getting in a fist fight (which fintan won) but even though the bar is red now she’s still listed in the romance category for him 💀 going to just. ignore that.
- my second plan was to take what just happened and apply it to fintan instead (make HIM use the spell and then hope it backfires) but unfortunately he is a master rank spellcaster so his spells rarely fail… i got him up to a dangerously high level of spellcaster charge before trying the spell in hopes that it would fail but he’s too good….
- i ended up applying some curses to him as well to increase the chances of the spell backfiring but it only ended up making things worse for him 💀 accidentally gave him another curse which made this creepy asshole follow him around all night and prevented him from sleeping
Tumblr media
- in another attempt he just straight up fucking died.
Tumblr media
first grim reaper appearance haha… (his familiar actually ended up reviving him though… but it didn’t matter because i was just resetting from the same save point anyway.)
- at some point throughout all this fintan gained the fear of… swimming?? which is very random considering he has a pool in his yard that he’s swam in multiple times before… but ok
- the spell actually DID end up backfiring correctly but even when they kissed the romance bar never showed up 💀 which pissed me off because it showed up with gisela… homophobic ass spell
- ended up giving up on the spells and tried giving romantic gifts… which SEEMED to go well but it did not actually improve their relationship at all…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
only game where your characters can be sworn enemies and still say shit like this about each other (the romance bar did not go up even a BIT. so this is really funny.)
- tried the potion of forced friendship next because i was curious to see what it would do… i thought it’d just make the interactions go smoother but apparently it puts the friendship bar up to max 💀 so. that part was solved i guess?? they’re no longer enemies at least…
- but of course them being them they somehow managed to get the bar back down to zero 💀 they basically had to start their relationship over from scratch…
- finally got them to kiss though (for real) so idgaf
Tumblr media
- fintan loooves to randomly insult him though. so. idk how long this will last. the sentiments are already very conflicting

There's a trend people have pointed out in superhero stories over the past 20 or so years that is the death of "regular" supporting casts, an increasing absence of un-powered sidekicks or people involved who aren't in the thick of the action or in the hero's secret. Everyone who interacts with superheroes is a couple issues away from becoming one, every story involves a supervillain encounter or several dozen, every hero's gotta have a lunchbox-ready "superhero family" made from these characters, and every side character that doesn't join them is either going to die or become a supervillain.
The defining example people use for this is Spider-Man's supporting cast, with every Spider-Man cast member short of Aunt May and J Jonah Jameson getting some kind of powered upgrade or symbiote, and I'm gonna say Amanda Waller is an excellent case study of how this kind of thing happens, and I think it helps to explain why Amanda Waller has been, Like That, for the past 30 years.
Tumblr media
She’s wearing a grey shirt underneath a blue blazer and it’s tucked into a similarly blue skirt that stops at mid calf. She reminds me of the neighbourhood aunties I used to see leaving for church every Sunday morning.
My mom used to say that you are the company you keep. So what kind of person does it take to keep a variety of bruised, battered, and dangerous personalities in check? - Amanda Waller: DC's Most Terrifying Woman
To those of you who haven't read John Ostrander and Kim Yale's Suicide Squad, there once was a time where Amanda Waller was something more than a powerful antagonistic force able to butt heads with the biggest superheroes, and something other than a heartless establishment face out to make superheroes miserable for ill-defined reasons. Structurally speaking, Suicide Squad is a comic about marginal DCU characters forced to deal with actual real life problems, and it's central character is a marginalized person forced to deal with DCU problems and characters. The members of the Squad are a rolling parade of costumed misfits and maniacs assigned to go around the globe to fight and kill and die on dirty missions to deal with dirty laundry and stop war zones from erupting, while Amanda Waller is forced to shuffle around her cadre of D-list supervillains and disgraced superheroes and get into stand-offs with secret spy societies, living nukes, voodoo cartels, and Batman.
Amanda Waller neither looks nor acts like the kind of character that stars in a superhero comic, and she is the central character throughout the 66 issues of the run and we follow her character arc from beginning to end as she's forced to spin plates to accomplish her goals and prevent bad situations from getting worse. She is the most fully realized character in the run and everything rests on her shoulders. We spend a lot of time inside her head, her team, her associates, she is the center holding together an extremely chaotic book with no two characters on the same page. She is, and has to be, an extremely powerful person, someone who stands her ground no matter what, an unbeatable force of will because that is the only way she's going to survive the situations she's in, the only way she can be "The Wall", the kind of person who can repel Batman, command a platoon of monsters, talk her way out of Deadshot's contract, someone who can stare at Darkseid and credibly threaten the President into letting her live.
That's the part that everyone is more or less familiar. But there is, or at least used to be, much more to Amanda Waller than just being The Wall, not in the least because being The Wall is also hampering her effectiveness as well as straight up killing her.
Tumblr media
"Amanda's toughness has taken her a long way" "It's taken her as far as it can. But it can't take her no further. It's actually starting to drag her down. I'm scared for my baby sister, rev - scared that the anger in her is congealing into hate." - Suicide Squad #31
We get to know her backstory, her plans, her points of contention with the system, her relationships with people around her, and how deeply she cares about things and people even as she sends them to the meatgrinder. From the start we learn that Waller staffs her team with people she's prone to getting into disagreements with, like Simon LaGrieve and Rick Flag, specifically so they can cover her moral blind spots and pick up the slack in emotional intelligence she's lacking, be the heroes that she can't afford to be. It is unspeakably crucial that the Squad is led by Rick Flag as well as Bronze Tiger, a fallen hero who owes Waller for his recovery who eventually takes Flag's baton. Waller stands up for her team, gets into fights with her superiors when they decide to terminate them, and takes the fall for them when necessary. Waller is a person who does Bad Things - but she is not a Bad Person.
The book in no uncertain terms frames the Suicide Squad's existence as monstrous in a scale Waller doesn't understand until the very end, and it digs deep into the unethical things Waller has to allow for and perpetrate in order to keep it running no matter how many lives it saves, and she spends the first half of the book on a downward spiral. But then there's the 2nd half of the book:
In the first 39 issues, Amanda’s flaws are her undoing. As she pushes away the people she hired to act as a balance, she grasped tighter and tighter to her uncompromised vision of the Suicide Squad despite the constant changes and derailment. Her choices had consequences: the death of Rick Flag, her demotion, employees quitting, and finally, the disbandment of the team.
The last 27 issues have Amanda rising up from the ashes after a year in jail. She’s less in her own way – she communicates, her anger isn’t driving her, she’s more receptive of alternative perspective and recognizes when she’s wrong in real time – but she’s still just as scary.
Tumblr media
Waller rebuilds her relationships with the people she drove away, takes a different tack to how the team works, and starts going out into the frontlines with the Squad. She brings Oracle (who actually made her debut in this comic) into the fold, saves her life and plays a big role in Barbara making progress in overcoming her Joker trauma. She genuinely puts in the work to improve as a person and do things a better way than before, even if there is an inescapable immorality to the very existence of the Squad and what they do. That immorality never goes away, and it only further horrifies her when learning how badly her project has gone. In fact, it's that very inescapable immorality that ends her arc.
Tumblr media
She learns that the CIA has started using a new Suicide Squad to support a brutal regime in South America, and when faced with the full extent of her complicity in Western imperialism? She decides right then and there to end the Suicide Squad for good after they liberate the population of said regime from said Squad. She is the only person who gives a shit about the country enough to start the assignment for free once she knows about it, force the Squad along, lead the mission in field, and personally (and even gently) usher the villain to his death at the end, to end what began with her.
She does bad things, and she does good things. She cares about people, and she uses people. Her decisions ruin as well as save the world. She spins a million plates to match wills and wits with the strongest, wickedest, most cunning humans and superhumans alike, and she still has superiors to answer to and people close to her she hires to judge her for what she does. She endured racism and misogyny and poverty for decades and rode whatever she could to attain as much power over her own life as someone like her could possibly attain, and to have it, she must be a willing tool of the state and bend the knee to Ronald Reagan, the man she derides for what he did to her community, hating every minute of it.
She lost her family to sexual and racial violence, and now she wrangles a penal battalion comprised of some of the worst people on the planet to inflict violence on her orders. She has saved and redeemed people, and she's haunted by the corpses she's left in her wake. She is oppressed and oppressor, someone who could only escape the ravages of American imperialism by becoming one of it's chief enforcers, and still she rebuilds herself into a better person from it upon confronting and challenging her role in it. She is not a bad person, she is not a good person either, she is just afforded a degree of agency and complexity unpowered characters in superhero books simply don't get.
Okay cool, now what is she up to these days?
Tumblr media
That, I guess. That is what a strong but unpowered person who does not allow themselves to be bossed around by superheroes or supervillains looks like now. Everytime there's a call for a military bad guy, Waller gets tagged in to be DC's Henry Gyrich. There was a point where Waller was made to contrast the likes of Sarge Steel and Wade Eiling, someone who butted heads with them because she was a well-meaning person working for and committing evil as often as she attempted to stop it. These days, the most consistent beat with her is that she is the most dangerous person alive and worse than the villains she wrangles into working for her. She is a thing to be overcome, a hypocrite to be exposed, a challenge to the natural order of the universe, and she is too terrific at it to be shuffled off quietly. She is a Bad Person and so everything she says and does is Bad (and thus can be ignored).
Integral to Suicide Squad's structure was the fact that Waller was the center holding everything together, the ultimate third party: spinning plates working with, for and against all of the others so she can bend rules and be bent by them. Bent, but never broken, because The Wall doesn't break, others break first. Waller was a one-of-a-kind character, and that broke her, because beating Sarge Steel and Wade Eiling at their own game means replacing Sarge Steel and Wade Eiling. Waller doesn't look like them, she doesn't look like the superheroes either, and so she can't be one of them. She can't even look like herself a lot of the time, they try to slim her up everytime they think they can get away with it.
Suicide Squad was preoccupied with exploring a perspective from a world outside the superhero worldview, but we no longer have her perspective or that of people around her, we only know her through the superheroes she inherently defies and has had an adversarial relationship against from day one. She is someone with a viewpoint that is charitable to neither superheroes nor institutions, and thus, the universe is increasingly less sympathetic to her, the less utility she has to the grander narrative where everyone has to pick between one of two options. If she wasn't powerful and assertive, she'd be another Leslie Thompkins, another Jiminy Cricket the heroes passively ignore. But because she is powerful and doing morally compromised things without asking Batman's permission, she must have a personal grudge. She must be a government monster. She must attack the superheroes for no reason, no ideology, no motive.
So now she's just The Wall 24/7, the mean icy establishment boot who is strong and clever and cruel and hates superheroes and wants to destroy superheroes and rule the world from the shadows. Everything she does is a fuck-up she refuses to take responsability for, everyone is right to hate and distrust mean old Waller, and now everyone gets to look good by dunking on her. They couldn't make her a superhero, so they made her a generic supervillain instead. And now that she's a bad guy, she no longer has to believe anything, she doesn't really have to mean anything, they don't have to write stories about something other than superheroes and supervillains, and they don't have to let a fat woman of color take up space and screentime they could be giving to Harley Quinn and Slade Wilson instead.
Even by the time of Waller's debut on the tail end of the 80s, her career opportunities were on their way to extinction
Days Of Future Past marks the triumph of the superhero comic that's pretty much concerned with no-one but superheroes. Where Ditko and Lee's Spider-Man featured a single costumed crimefighter in the context of a commonplace existence, the X-Men of the 80s focused on a huge cast of mutants who had little if any lasting involvement in the everyday world.
By the 21st century, the corporate superhero comic would largely - if not exclusively - concern itself with little beyond a large class of superhumans and their fantastical existence. I suspect there's a significant correlation between that and the continuing cultural  peripherilisation of the superhero comic - Colin Smith
Amanda Waller is one of the strongest characters in all of comics, she was as powerful as an non-superpowered character given center stage could possibly be, a perfectly designed character from which an entire corner of a shared universe was developed out of with her as the center making it work, but as the room for civilian casts and unpowered protagonists got smaller and smaller, so did Waller's options. If she was a Spider-Man character and somehow didn't get killed or made into a villain, they would have slimmed her up and given her a symbiote, because you're nobody unless you're web-swinging. Characters didn't look or act like Amanda Waller, and unfortunately, they still don't. It's just instead of making more characters like her, they gutted Waller to be more like the rest. If she couldn't make it, who else even could.
Keep your eyes peeled for this summer when she'll team up with two meaningless robot baddies to burn down the Justice League and I guess the universe for the next reboot or something.

Hazbin Hotel Headcanon: Polyamory Edition
I headcanon that Lilith and Lucifer had a somewhat open marriage with Eve as an on & off partner
Lucifer is pretty much confirmed to have slept with Eve as well as Lilith
Also, they live in Hell. Lucifer and Lilith have likely tried a lot of sexual activities together and possibly had consorts or extra partners in the bedroom
We don't know what happened to Eve yet, but if and when she went to Hell, Lucifer and Lilith would have welcomed her and allowed her to stay at the palace
She would have held an honored position, as a consort or advisor or maybe just had a title as First Mother
I like to think that she was very free-spirited and would have come and gone from the palace, disappearing for possibly decades at a time, trying to find her own identity separate from Eden, a bit of an overly open minded person.
I think she would have been a bit of a space case, but immensely powerful and one of the few people able to cheer up Lucifer and help Lilith relax
But this opens up the idea that if Lilith came back to hell to find Lucifer had found love with another person, she may not react badly
Lilith may just be glad Lucifer found a way to occupy himself while she was gone
Because Lilith was worried about him but she just needed some time for herself
Or Lilith encountered an issue that prevented her from contacting anyone in Hell when she left
I'm down for a Lucifer ship to turn into an OT3 with Lilith after she returns and they reconcile
Not even just the sex, like the casual interactions
Just thinking about how Lilith would stare down Alastor and enjoy getting under his skin in subtle ways
Or gossiping with Angel Dust about whatever's going on in Hell

WOW!!! FINALLY FINISHED THIS ONE!!!
This work used a lot of textures! Wikimedia was my best friend, particularly for the macro shot of the wing scales used in the backdrop (H. Zell, CC BY-SA 3.0, via Wikimedia Commons) and the photo layered over the barcode (Michael Hanselmann, CC BY-SA 3.0, via Wikimedia Commons). I think it lends a really nice mixed media feel to this :D
These two are the other two members of THREAT DISPLAY!!!, the fake band for my dnd character Helvia. Rambling about them below the cut for context! Warning, it's long. And probably requires the context provided by the post I made about Helvia.
As is made probably blindingly obvious by this illustration, I continued the name of naming/loosely basing the design on a bug with a threat display, in this case being the peacock butterfly, Aglais Io! It's a really neat creature, being one of the only butterflies as far as I know to have a drastically different pattern when viewed dorsally versus ventrally
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously I pulled this pattern as directly as possible for Aegis's (left) jacket, but it's also on the inner lining of Vanessa's (right) overskirt. It's better visible in the earlier basic ref for them:
Tumblr media
They look awfully similar.. and that's because they are twins! That's a lie, actually, but it's what the marketing of the band wants you to think. In reality, they are the same exact model of robot, meant to look human in comparison to Helvia, styled differently. They kind of have a complex about this, as would be expected if you were created and saw someone with your exact face who you are more or less put in competition with, and also told that neither of you really matter? It's a gimmick at best. They're not meant to be the real stars here, so it's easier if the public can just lump them together and let them fade into the background. I can't stress just how unimportant these two were considered in comparison to Helvia- they didn't appear in much marketing, and when they did, they were treated more like props. They weren't given unique identities, no fake memories unlike Helvia, just set into this situation with the expectation that they should know they are not important, they are not unique, and anything they do should be to further support Helvia.
Ultimately, though, they are very different people, especially in how they felt about this.
Aegis more or less resigned himself to this, he didn't see the point in trying to fight it or change the situation. He tried to not make anyone upset, stay neutral, do what was asked of him without thinking about it too hard. Sort of dissociating king? I think he internalized the fact that he's not "supposed to be a real person", and it influenced his behavior. He can acknowledge the horror of his situation, but doesn't find the point in fighting it.
Vanessa, meanwhile, finds none of it acceptable. She hates this. She hates the fact that she is a product and a tool and not even an important enough one to be given a basic sense of identity. Giving very "malicious compliance", she can't do much, but she took every opportunity to make it clear just how much she can't stand any of this. She felt that Aegis was a coward, especially because he would always be there to condescend to her, saying it's in her best interest to give up any time she got in serious trouble.
They, predictably, had a pretty rocky relationship because of this. Indirectly pitted against eachother for any amount of minimal spotlight that wasn't going to Helvia in hopes of being given any sort of grace, they also had no one else to rely on? Certainly not any staff, and CERTAINLY not Helvia, there's no one else that understood the unique horror of their situation quite so much as each other, even if they responded in wildly different ways. They had eachother's back, unspoken. Aegis telling Vanessa to 'just give up' is equally an attempt to prevent her from getting hurt further as Vanessa telling Aegis to 'stop letting this happen to you'– they just think that their respective poor coping mechanism is the way to go, when in reality it just means they each continue to be hurt. Dude these guys suck. As much as the twins marketing thing is a sore subject, in a sick way they end up actually having a sibling-adjacent relationship, I think.
As for their relationships with Helvia? Arguably more complicated.
Tumblr media
It's a mess. Nobody is having a good time, except maybe Helvia telling herself she's having a good time. The closer they were to her, the better shot they had at actually being treated like they were interesting or important by marketing, and it created obviously an environment that was Not Good! They each had tumultuous on-and-off relationships with her as was directly encouraged of them, regardless of how anyone actually felt. It doesn't help that Helvia herself treated them carelessly, obviously told that they were there for Her– and as someone who wholesale bought into the image she was created for, who was in denial about the fact that she was literally a product, she wasn't exactly receptive to any of their struggles. Aegis pitied her despite their similarities, while Vanessa pretty much wanted her dead. It's bad. It's sooo bad. It's messy.
As for what they're up to now? No clue yet <3 they've yet to appear and I kind of already have terminal brain illnesses about them, if the above paragraphs didn't make it already obvious. Honestly this was just me making half decent art of them to post as in introduction to them before I drop the uh. 12 page comic I made in a fugue state during finals week. So keep a look out for that, I guess!

With a quick search, Penelope finds out that Darrin's state-appointed psychiatrist is Charles Cipolla. If Darrin can't get his medicine at the pharmacy then he's going to pay a visit to the one person who can prescribe him more. You three rush over to his office but you're too late. Rossi and Emily are already here along with the local police because not only is Charles dead, but another one of his patients is.
The same ripped-apart energy is all over the office. Darrin was definitely here and killed both of these men.
"His energy is falling apart faster. Soon, he's going to be killing left and right regardless if they touch him or not."
"Why can't you find him?" Hotch snaps at you.
You open your mouth to snap something back at him when Derek stops you. He knows what you're going to say so he steps in to prevent you from getting in trouble.
"She is. We all are."
Hotch scoffs and stalks off angrily. You decide to give him some time to cool off and address the mess inside instead.
"He cleaned up and changed his clothes," Lieutenant Kevin Mitchell says and holds up the bloody clothes with gloved hands. The psychiatrist's clothes are also missing which means Darrin is wearing them. "He could have dyed his hair for all I know."
"He's suffering from a psychotic break. He's not dodging us on purpose."
"If he was psychotic, why would his doctor take him off the drugs?"
"Call didn't have any history of violent behavior. Cipolla couldn't predict that would happen," Rossi says.
"Look at this place. It's a mess but it looks like Call was looking for something."
"Yeah, the drugs," Kevin scoffs.
"No, the doctor never keeps the drugs in their offices. The scrip pad is still on the desk. My guess is he came here for help."
Derek looks through the files in the cabinets but can't find Darrin's.
"His file is missing." Penelope calls Derek and he puts her on speakerphone. "Yeah, baby girl, what's going on?"
"Where's Hotch? He's not answering."
"He's outside. He's doing alright. What's up?"
"A mystery."
"Come on, not today Garcia."
"I know. Here's the deal. When I missed the antipsychotics--"
"Listen to me. That was not your fault."
"You are ever my champion, sugar, but I believe it was. Anyway, when I did that, I went back to the beginning except there is no beginning."
"What are you talking about?" you ask.
"Darrin Call didn't exist like from 1969 to 1975. There's no birth certificate, no social security, and no identity. Nothing until he was six years old."
"Was he abandoned?"
"My least three favorite words strung together... I don't know. My guess is neither does he." Rossi leaves to grab Hotch so he can hear what Penelope has to say. She does more research into Darrin that might tell her what happened to him in his early years. "On May 1, 1975, a six-year-old Darrin Call was found roaming in the middle of nowhere and was picked up. He was in state care for the first few months."
"Did he tell the cops what happened?"
"No, because he didn't talk, not for over a year. Once he started talking, he only knew his life as Darrin Call."
"That's awful," JJ sighs.
"So is this. Little Darrin was never claimed."
"Maybe he wasn't from the area. There wasn't a thriving missing children's network in 1975."
"Call is wearing Cipolla's clothing. I don't know if he's lucid or not, but he is definitely freaked out. Either way, we should update the public," Derek says to JJ.
"What is this?" the Lieutenant asks at the piece of paper JJ has.
"Call's timeline."
"He left Louisville?"
"Three times, but he always came back to the same ten-block radius."
"Why?"
"Victims are often drawn to the scene of their first trauma. Part of him wanted to escape. The other part probably struggled to find answers."
"Was he hospitalized?" Hotch asks.
"For two years starting in 1885."
"And again in '95 for a few months," Penelope adds. "For both times, he stayed at the state facility in Fayette County."
"You know he doesn't drive. Do you think he'd walk all the way out there?" Kevin asks.
"He's desperate. I think he'll find a way."
"I'll tell the sheriff in Fayette," the Lieutenant says and walks away.
"When did he start the prescriptions, Garcia?"
"In 1977 and it looks like he tried them all. I've got a list. Alphabetically, Alprazolam, Clonazepam, Diazepam--"
"Just send it."
"Yes, sir."
"His doctor weaned him off the prescription for a reason. Now, that's a big risk so the reward must have been greater."
"He needs the truth. Maybe he stopped taking the prescription on his own. He's looking for answers. He's got his file so the answers are in there."
"We need to catch up before he kills someone else."
You continue to do research with the team back at the police station. Penelope is on speakerphone with everyone trying to help.
"I found some records from child services that have him extremely physically abused. No signs of sexual assault, though."
"That's a miracle."
"Either way, the trauma was debilitating. Was he running from an abusive home or an abduction?"
"Wouldn't there be a paper trail if it were a kidnapping?" Lieutenant Mitchell asks.
"Garcia, look for unsolved missing children's cases from the 1970s."
"Okay, there's a case in Hollow Creek. The kids were dead though and were found in pieces."
"When was this?"
"'75. Nobody talks about it because they never found the guy. Do you think Call walked away from there?"
"It's possible. Garcia, send me everything."
"Done."
Can you find the case file?" Hotch asks the Lieutenant.
"I'll do what I can."
The Lieutenant leaves and returns twenty minutes later with two boxes full of stuff on the Hollow Creek case. Spencer reaches into the first box and grabs several files.
"Is there a suspect list?" JJ asks.
"It's in there somewhere."
"He was known as the Hollow Creek killer. Three bodies were found with some being never identified. There's a survivor. It's not Call, it was a 12-year-old boy named Tommy Phillips. His parents said he was missing for two weeks and came back a different kid."
"Of course, he did. Can you blame him?"
"Let's see. The family left Louisville after Tommy told police where to find the bodies. He also said the suspect was a white man in his thirties and drove a red pickup truck."
"We need to find Tommy."
"He'd be forty-six now. His parents probably changed his name and got as far away as possible."
"Garcia can find him," Hotch says with faith. "Garcia, send everything you can find on Tommy Phillips."
"Yes, sir."
"The stock boy's blade is what set him off in the pharmacy. If this is what Call's been running from, it's no wonder he's blocked it out," JJ says as she watches the footage again.
"Since he's clean now, there's no medication to block his memories and he wants answers. Where would he go?"
"To what he knows."
"He doesn't know anything. That's the problem."
"He's beginning to. He became Darrin Call at the Sterner Orphanage. I say we start there," you suggest.
You, Hotch, Emily, and the Lieutenant go over to the orphanage to see the local police already there. Darrin did come here looking for answers but ended up stabbing the woman in charge of the place. He also kidnapped a child which he hadn't done before. Derek talks to a witness who is across the street, Hotch immediately talks to the woman who was stabbed, and you study the energy. It's like it gets more unhinged the more you look at it. This kind of energy compared to the one you found at the pharmacy is way different. Both are falling apart but the one at the pharmacy is more put together than the one you see here.
"He called the boy Tommy," Hotch says after he returns from talking to the woman.
"Is that what set him off?" you ask.
"She thought it was his reflection. Whoever hurt him years ago might have been the same age he is now. He might have seen the similarity."
"What about the boy?" Rossi asks Hotch.
"His real name is Ryan. She said he was quiet and submissive."
"Is Morgan getting anything out of the other witness?"
"Not yet."
"A minivan was stolen one block from here. Call's never driven in his life. Do you think he's still not running from us?" the Lieutenant asks.
"Which way?"
"Eastbound. I got roadblocks set up everywhere. He's not getting out of this county."
"You're wasting your time," Hotch objects.
"He's outnumbered. Do you think he's gonna just disappear?"
"I think he took the boy for a reason."
"I don't care why he took him--"
"You should. Call's memory is no longer suppressed. He's reinventing his past, and unless we understand how, we're not gonna find either of them."
"I agree with Hotch," you back him up.
"I'm not gonna just sit around and speculate."
"I'm not asking you to."
"You don't think we should chase him either?" the Lieutenant asks Rossi.
"We need to get ahead of Call." The Lieutenant scoffs and leaves pissed. Emily and Rossi don't seem confident about Hotch's decision. "Hotch, a kid's missing."
"They don't need the extra manpower."
"Since when?"
"If we'd studied Foyet's initial crimes, we would have known that a survivor didn't make sense."
You sigh when he mentions Foyet. This man is obsessed with him and it won't get any better until he is apprehended. Foyet is the only reason why he can't see his own family.
"What does he have to do with this?" Emily asks carefully.
"All we had to do was stop and look at Foyet's history. We didn't and we lost two couples and a bus full of people. I'm not making that mistake again."
Hotch walks off and you address your two coworkers.
"Hotch isn't well. He's not doing okay even if he says he is."

Ok so I missed this when reading  "Where Honor Lives" but we now have a concrete time of when Sojiro Shimada died. Sojiro died 14 years ago when Hanzo was 26 and Genji was 23. Which does fall in line with the theories of when Genji joined Blackwatch, though we do not know when Genji and Hanzo fought as there could have been a year or two between those events.
It also further cements that Kiriko's age is fucked on her profile because if Kiriko was twelve when Sojiro died;
Tumblr media
Then that would mean that she would currently be 26. An age that I have already stated is more likely then 21. Which as always, is an issue. At this point I don't think this is a writing thing, or more specifically I don't think this is the fault of those actually in charge of writing Kiriko's lore. It's either and executive choice to have her be 21 or there is a concerning amount of disconnect between the people in charge of writing the actual character lore and the stuff specifically for the game.
Cause there is no way they can look at that writing in this story and go "yep that makes sense" if they are choosing for Kiriko to be 21.
However, I do have a current theory (different from my "her bio age and chronological age are different" theory) that could be going on other then out of game fuck up, cause there is the fact that hero bio's have been shown to be unreliable purposely, specifically with the Shimada brothers with them having different descriptions of the fight between them, along with other bios omitting stuff that should have been mentioned in their bio. I think this might be the case with Kiriko's age as well, more specifically, they put Kiriko's name as Kiriko Kamori, not Kiriko Yamagami, which is her real name. The fact that she had to change her last name is acknowledged but the name Yamagami itself is not even mentioned in her bio, at least not to what I can see.
This is probably a stretch but what if Kiriko's age was also legally changed in order to further prevent the Hashimoto from connecting her to her parents? The whole reason she went to live with her grandmother and had to change her name was to protect her, and considering Toshiro Yamagami openly states that he sends letters to his family, that the Hashimoto allow, they likely know he has a daughter somewhere. So changing her documents so it wouldn't make sense for her to be their daughter does make sense from a protection stand point.
Again that theory is probably a stretch, and Kiriko's age is most likely just a fuck up that they're refusing to fix, but it's now my HC on what's going on in the story. Kiriko is actually 26 but is legally 21.
But for the sake of full clarification, no matter what you think is happening, Kiriko is 26 if you look at the fact she was 12 when Sojiro died.

I’ve been kinda thinking about the finale (as if I ever do anything else) and I have a sort of theory on how it could all play out.
Most of this is spec, some of it is my writer brain, so with that what you will lmao.
With what the 911 on ABC posted on Instagram today, I think it’s fair enough to assume that the councilwoman who was the mother to that guy is about to get involved. That whole thing was kind of just brushed off, and the idea of revenge is being repeatedly being brought up (Amir, even the idea of Doug sort of enacting revenge on Chim while he’s hallucinating), along with the theme of loss and grief (Eddie’s current mess, Amir…again).
I’ve seen several theories saying that she would try to stop Hen and Karen from adopting Mara, and while I can see what they’re saying, I actually think it’s more along the lines of her preventing Hen from being interim captain.
We know something is going to happen to Bobby, with all the stills and bts in the hospital, including the one with the whiteboard that says “R. Nash” on it. And if Bobby can’t act as captain, the usual replacement is Hen, but if Hen is in the midst of this, and the entire 118 is caught up I think it’s plausible (especially with Ryan talking about how Eddie is “isolated” next season) that the councilwoman will basically fight to split them up, citing past cases and insinuating they are dangerous or unfit as a unit. The LAFD brass won’t want to get in a fight with city council and will separate them but won’t fire them. (A compromise they’ll think is good, but we know is terrible).
I personally think that Buck will be left at the 118. With Captain Gerrard. I really get the feeling that the councilwoman may know him and put him back in place there even in spite of his past.
If we think about Buck’s worst nightmare (being abandoned by those he loves) it fits perfectly. Being by himself in his house but without his family, with a new captain that he knows Hen, Chim, and Tommy hated. That’s the worst possibility for him. Throw in a potential fight with Eddie and you have the perfect storm for Buck, something that would be untenable for him long term.
Relationship-wise, I have a couple different thoughts. Either Gerrard being at the 118 brings Tommy and Buck closer together, because Tommy understands what an awful captain Gerrard is and is a shoulder to lean on for him while he has to deal with it (this is preferable and what I want lol).
Or, as much as I hate to say it, it could lead to a distance between him and Tommy, because Tommy doesn’t want to be around Gerrard (don’t blame him) and he can’t be there for Buck because he’s afraid of turning back into the person he tried so hard to escape.
And I don’t think we’d start season 8 with everyone back together. With 18 episodes (bless) they have time to draw out plotlines that they haven’t been able to this season.
If, as I fervently hope, Bobby makes a recovery from whatever happens to him, he’ll have to go through the same retraining that Buck did when he was crushed by the ladder, which would be an interesting contrast for him to be put in those shoes, maybe desperate to get back out to the field but not being cleared, Athena being worried about him the same way he was worried about her after she was attacked, all that.
I think Hen’s big conflict would be that she feels like them being separated his her fault, since she didn’t force the guy to get care. She would be okay in another house, but potentially feel like she’s starting over, just like with medical school.
For Chim, I think his biggest thing would be taken out of the 118, maybe he would be assigned to the 133 as an extra gut punch since it was Kevin’s house? I think there’s something interesting there.
And Eddie. Eddie, who is taking doppelgänger Kim out in public, while bringing his girlfriend to the medal ceremony. Something is coming here, this situation is precarious at best. I highly doubt he will still be with Marisol by the end of the season. At the same time, I don’t think he’s going to be with Kim either. With this photo, it could be that Chris finds out about Kim or something like that. If I had to guess, I would say that Eddie and Marisol are done by the end of 7x09.
Tumblr media
I could also potentially see Eddie being left at the 118 and Buck transferring to air support with Tommy, which could be interesting since Eddie was the one to leave last time. But for angst points, I think leaving Buck alone in his house which is suddenly no longer home, but hostile? I would eat that up.
Overall, with all those happy stills we got today, juxtaposed by the way press is talking about the screeners, I would say we’re in for a rough couple of episodes and a rough hiatus too.

while aaravi remains firmly within "yeah miranda has a difficult personality and isn't very easy to get along with + has many rough edges which are slowly being worked on but still going to be an issue" after having been very much so within the camp that miranda is a Vexing Bitch upon first contact/getting to know her, she DOES go from "miranda is unpredictable and dangerous as a merfolk and large macropredator and her emotions are inscrutable and random" to "merfolk aren't very hard to understand or predict and it's very easy to stay on the safe side if you keep basic rules in mind and don't freak out the second something unexpected happens"
#all the care guide says is 'biomass'#miravi.txt#just. thinking about it!#thinking about specifically how merfolk (like most other animals) growl/hiss specifically as a deterrent#like if you start really upsetting miri and she wants space and you to Please Stop#she will probably turn her face away from the other person or turn her body away from them#while growling or hissing and pulling her fins back#and will open her mouth to bare her teeth or gape her mouth open to show her teeth (including heavily panting)#where the point is ''i will hurt you if you touch me/get closer/dont stop so please dont do that''#but a lot of people read it as her being either obtuse (if she turns away from them)#or outright aggressive for the showing of teeth and growling#when shes really not. shes being very polite in merfolk terms in giving multiple chances to avoid violence#shes going ''i am worried i might have to hurt you so please reconsider'' in a way thats very readable if youre another merfolk#who will then step away or give her her space and switch the tone of the conversation#to see whats wrong#whereas her being more deliberately aggressive/violent usually comes with minimal vocal cues at all#or (if shes specifically threatening someone such as in the case of getting aggressive over perceived threats to her social bonds)#she will often turn towards them and open her mouth and flare her fins#often deliberately closing the distance and making herself appear Extra Large#she WILL growl here but will never hiss (hissing being a more defensive sound)#and will often smack her tail against the ground or show her claws or otherwise demonstrate how large and how scary she is#as a deliberate point of ''you crossed a line and this is what is going to happen to you if you dont make it up right now''#which! both require VERY different responses but might look similar to a human!#and might end up coming off as unpredictable or random in her actions and cruelty!#when shes not! shes just doing things the way a merfolk does them#which means aaravi realizes VERY quickly after learning about all of this#just how many cues miranda gives that people are starting to make her uncomfortable and feel Not Okay#that are ignored or written off because theyre merfolk cues#merfolk are very tolerant of stress but have basically no concept of escalation of violence for that reason#because if youve ignored every chance to prevent something dangerous up until the point it goes too far

Hi love bug! It’s me for the 4766463 time😝 can I request a farah with reader who it vary vary forgiving like no matter what someone does to them they are quick to forgive which often gets them hurt 🫶🏻🫶🏻
(Sorry if this doesn’t make sense btw😭😭)
Welcome back! Sure you can, I hope what I wrote is alright! She definitely won't be gentle with you forever on this one, though, since you do need to learn to take care of yourself as well!
Farah with a Forgiving!Reader
Depending on how someone has wronged you, Farah might get very pissed about you being very forgiving. You’re a goddamn treasure, act like it. If it’s just something small, such as someone simply bumping into you, then she won’t get mad, it can happen to anyone. If someone had to postpone your meeting because something came in between, then she won’t get mad either. But if someone seriously hurts you, then she’ll be pissed about it to no end. She’s not afraid to snap at the person hurting you, she’ll give them a piece of her mind in a very vulgar and honest way. You deserve far better than that. You’re lovely, you really shouldn’t be treated like trash. But Farah definitely won’t stand by idly as you’re being walked all over for no other reason than you being too forgiving. She’ll pull you aside and give you a piece of her mind as well. Although it may seem harsh since she won’t be sugarcoating her words this time, she means well. Realize your worth, she already has a long time ago. If she has to intervene between you and someone taking advantage of your forgiving nature, then she will, but she won’t let it slide forever. She will make you be vengeful eventually, even if it goes against your nature. Farah will convince you that you don’t have to be nice to everyone around you all the time, you really won’t get too far in life like that. That’s something she had to learn the hard way, and she’ll teach you such in a slightly more gentle way than how she had to learn it. People will compensate you for causing you trouble. While she may seem relentless about it, which she is, she just wants you to not be a doormat for everyone. Because even if you lie down on the ground for people to walk all over you, they’ll still complain that you’re not flat enough. You will hold grudges, you won’t forgive as quickly at some point, she’ll make sure of that, because not forgiving some people is a form of self care in and of itself. You’ll come to realize that eventually. But until you get there, Farah will be there for you and speak up for you if you need it.

I was thinking the other day that man, kokuto neji is such a character and I haven't liked a writer character like this since... shang qinghua?
which naturally led me to this thought: jj fic with svsss-style au where neji transmigrates/gets isekai'd into the world of havenna. as domina, of course.
it's extra fucked up imo because at least when sqh transmigrated in his book, he made up all of those characters and they mostly stayed in the realm of fantasy. like, sure, lbh was kinda based on himself in some ways and mbj was his ideal fantasy, but they still mostly stayed fictional, you know? sqq (sy) had to fix his plots because the characters sqh wrote strayed too far from their original plotlines
but theater makes a fictional world a bit too real and personal, especially when you use real people as inspirations for your writing. with neji, he'd be looking at rukiora and see three different people (mitsuki acting as rukiora; rukiora who was written based on a younger version of neji; rukiora who is her own person in this weirdly real world of havenna). neji would see fugio and to him that is both sou acting as fugio and the fugio who grew up with poison flowers. miguel is both fumi and the guy who ran away from his neshiromi fields. the only constant would probably be chicchi. she is too much like kisa in that... well. neji didn't really have a backstory for chicchi. chicchi is a blank canvas just like kisa is as an actor.
anyway. yeah, very sv-style character arc where neji, much like shen yuan in sv, is forced to humanize the villain. except this villain was his creation and is also tied to a bunch of personal issues for neji that he Doesn't Want To Think About and also he doesn't? really understand the character he wrote tbh?
isn't art supposed to process your emotions for you!! why must he process these himself!!
can you imagine neji, who always casts himself as a seer of some sort (fortune teller, ushinoko) or someone who generally has some control over his future or his "creation" (who is mary if not just another side of neji anyway; she's takihime redux, and takihime is also. neji). imagine this dude being transported inside the play he wrote but he doesn't understand it and he has no control over it and everyone's acting both in character and out of character. he both knows and doesn't know these people. they're fictional but also... real? does he treat them as real people? is domina real? he wanted his actors to imbue parts of themselves into his characters. are these people really just characters from a script? are they his quartz classmates? is he allowed to even hope that that's the case?
it's both THE improv exercise of his dreams and also. a nightmare
#mine musings#liveblogging jj#jack jeanne#i do kinda want to write this eventually. like separate from a njmtsks fic#oh god. not me wanting to write a fic about a story within another story. oh rama havenna...#we can even throw in the whole prayer theme. like yes the priest preaches in a godless town and he carries a bible but hear me out#what if the god he's preaching about is himehiko instead#like. prayers and confession as offerings to a theater god. said theater god put you in your own play to “help” you fix it bc you#as the scriptwriter don't even understand anything about your own play#i kinda envision this as a neji & kai fic#though neji mostly struggles with rukiora and chicchi and the way domina prevents him from reacting authentically#neji knows everyone's backstories and inspiration but them BAM he has to face chicchi and he doesn't know anything about her#bc he was banking on kisa making chicchi her own character and being the 'transparent vessel' that helps everyone improve#and also he just had zero notes about chicchi lmao#neji every night at pontartia: is she being ooc right now or is this how chicchi was supposed to be all this time#like remember that time when he said to sou that he only realized what mukai's character was about after kisa got her act together#it's happening agaaainnnnn with chicchi#meanwhile rukiora hates him soooo much and neji is sad that he can't even confess about this to the priest bc it would be ooc for domina#mikki hates him!! except that's not mikki. but she looks and sounds and acts like mikki!! and also like a younger version of neji!!#he'll look to jire and he's all sad and mopey and neji is like. suzu having nuance is GREAT but also suzu not being cheery feels so bad man#where's my moodmaker? hachipochi missing hours :(#he tries to talk to sou but that's not sou that's fugio and also. fugio only cares about chicchi#domina barely even interacts with miguel so neji has to devise ways for domina to talk to him while being in character#but the minute he gets close rukiora is there and miguel would never talk to someone that makes rukiora upset. go away madame!!#neji is left to commiserate with otori/facchio and himehiko is laughing in the background

Random but
I had to start wearing bras in 2nd fucking grade.
Not because I actually needed to.
It was because my mother was scared of people, people that should be of authority, people that she should trust with her 7 year old fucking child, scared that they would look at me, scared that they would sexualize me, scared that they would be predators.
No one should feel like this.
Do not make us repeat ourselves.

Events of last night:
Me: *crying*
My girlfriend: what's wrong?? :(
Me: *struggling to form words* intrusive thoughts are bad... I don't want to talk about them because then I'm scared that they're true and you might think I'm awful
My girlfriend: ah I actually get that. I have those a lot. It doesn't mean anything though, intrusive thoughts are just like dreams. Like the things you do in them aren't really things you want to do, it's just stuff your brain comes up with.
#we then very heavily related over having the same intrusive thoughts and now I'm suspicious#thinking about when i told her i might have ocd and she said i didnt#and starting to feel like thats because... what if we both have ocd#it seems like she was basing her entire knowledge of conditions on people shes known with those conditions. which makes sense#but the person/ people with ocd had severe cleaning compulsions and the like#where as me and her obsess much more over morality#like its very clear we think about it so much. and idk what to do with that information#we both feel like the intrusive thoughts and obsessive ruminating are the only things that keep is from being bad people#or that prevent us from being bad people i guess. idk why that wording is just slightly more accurate#like people who dont think about these things (apparently all 'normal' people since this could be *an actual disorder*)#they're not constantly analyzing. trying to be aware. asking themselves questions about their true nature. judging those answers#theyre not really doing that with other people either. of course i could be wrong since im very clearly not a normal person.#but this is what i mean! im speculating about other people and acknowledging the ways i could be wrong and just trying to figure it all out#but it seems like no one does that and it doesnt *make them* bad people. it just doesn't prevent them from that happening either#like theyre just as likely to hurt people as the 'bad' person thats thinking the same way they are#and i cant ever be comfortable with me living that reality even when *this reality* is a waking nightmare#sure im tearing my skin off (good ole skin picking disorder) when im thinking about these things. sure im crying. sure i can't sleep.#sure it makes me feel like im constantly a horrible person and need to attone for everything ive done and havent done#sure. but then i turn around and say its helping me. because why else would my brain torture me? isnt it always about protecting me?#i don't know. all i know is who i dont want to be and what i dont want. so that exactly what my brain convinces me is real#i guess what it kinda comes to do is#would you rather live a reality where everything around you is superficial. your thoughts behaviors and thoughts. your reactions#all of them are things youre never aware of. you could be hurting people or you could be helping themm#you could even be hurting yourself. but you would never know. its a comfortable reality that youre never really aware of#OR would you rather live a reality aware of all those things. seeking answers and sometimes finding them.#trying your hardest to help others and better yourself and fix the broken things in this world#your reality is one where you recognize every threat that no one else does and it kills you inside because they wont always listen#theyre comfortable and you're stuck in a reality where you try and try and try but even when you succeed#your brain forms its own reality. a metaphorical jail. where you never get to experience the reality you fought so hard for#instead you exist in this sort of purgatory where you live out your own worst fears and the worst ways you could have failed

i don't think there's any canon evidence for silver knowing about shadow's past in any significant detail and shadow isn't someone who would open up about something personal like that (unless we're talking about his close friends who already have the context and the broad strokes) and it got me thinking. not that silver deliberately travels back to ARK's glory days to figure that out. but rather some other circumstances lead him there, and allow him to meet this little odd but overall kind girl named maria who's living there for medical reasons, and she helps him with whatever he traveled there to do, and he learns about her over the course of his brief stay, and hears that there's been some kind of breakthrough in the development for the cure for her illness. perhaps he's there to gather information about GUN's involvement in an event that's yet to happen, discovering that they're somehow linked in this cure - but whoever asked him to time travel to this point didn't need details on that, they already knew about it. perhaps he feels compelled to warn maria before his departure, that eventually, at some point, a raid is going to happen, in the hopes that her name will be found among the list of survivors. perhaps out of curiosity he gets his hands on that list after traveling back, only to find her missing
