A scene in @holleighgram's Life Long Strangers fic that I really liked!
[ID: A drawing of Sora and Riku from Kingdom Hearts dancing and singing together, holding hands as they do so. Sora is looking up at Riku while Riku's eyes are closed as he dances. Sora is wearing a red hoodie with black accents, grey basketball shorts and red converse with the Kingdom Hearts heart and crown logo in place of the converse logo. Riku is wearing white and black shirt, black skinny jeans and black converse with the same logo as Sora's in place of the converse logo. He is also wearing a black wristwatch.
The background consists of dark pink with warmer light pink light behind Sora and a cooler light pink behind Riku. There are numerous semi-transparent hearts scattered in the background. The lyrics
“It’s not enough to take the one you love for granted!”
are in the background as well.]

❝Oi, Mego.❞ Masamune made sure to approach when she was wholly alone. Primarily because he wasn't fond of having an audience in moments like this, but it was also because he wanted to catch her expression when no one else was present save for himself. ❝Did you think I’d forget about this being a special day for you?❞ No matter how busy he might be, never would he ever forget this. Despite how nonchalant he appeared, for whatever reason, he always wound up feeling anxious when it came to moments like this one. With others? Not so much. Just Megohime in general. Awkwardly, almost, he held out a carefully folded piece of parchment – a poem that he had written specifically for her. ❝Thought you might like this.❞
A birthday was indeed a busy day for the princess. Visitors came and went to send their best wishes && drop some presents for her to enjoy for herself. Some presented a neatly wrapped sweets, some offered a bottle of finely distilled alcoholic drinks with a pair of cups (seemingly meant to be a drink for two), while some sent out various trinkets, accessories && articles of clothing. Among the many fine gifts that she received for the day, there was specifically one from her husband that she had yet to even see until this evening. As her last visitor made their leave, Mego was left alone in her room to rearrange her gifts — until the shoji of her chambers was slid open to reveal the presence of the One-Eyed Dragon on her front door.
“Oh, Masamune-sama.” What a timing! She immediately made a halt of whatever she was doing at the moment to shift her attention towards him, who was seemingly prepared to… make a statement for himself, in his usual nonchalant manner. “Mm? Well, you did say happy birthday to me though,” she responded; remembering that he did at least gave her his well wishes for her birthday this morning. The penultimate gift from her husband, however, still remained a mystery to this moment. A mystery that would eventually be revealed, as his usual poised air somehow turned a little awkward for a moment when he revealed a folded ornate parchment paper of highest quality && handed it towards her. It was meant to be the gift she would receive for her birthday, she assumed.
A poetry? she monologued the question to herself. “Let’s see…” Carefully, the parchment was slowly unfolded to reveal a rather sizable number of characters written down in a (characteristically recognizable) neat handwriting. Judging by its meticulously crafted sentences, it was quite apparent that he had poured many of his time && thoughts into this poem. Megohime attentively read && analyzed his craft, absorbed the meaning of each verse, had her attention caught into some very recognizable && eye-catching stanzas—
“………….!!!”
Face turned as scarlet as a ripe apple from surprised embarrassment as warmth rose up ‘pon her pale cheeks, one palm moved to shield the lower half of her flushed visage. Suffice to say, Megohime was left absolutely speechless && flustered with how masterful the One-Eyed Dragon now with his words. Judging from that puffed-up, triumphant look on his face, it was made obvious that her reaction went just as how he had expected. How absolutely uncool of her for falling into his sweet little trap like this!
“A-ahem!” A faux throat-clearing was released to clear this rather…embarrassing atmosphere. Her cheeks were still warm && clearly tinted with a mild rosy blush, however. “This is… actually very well done, Masamune-sama…” Despite of her reactions, she still could at least offer her genuine praise. “From this poem, I see that you’ve been reading a lot of Chang Hen Ge and other works of Haku Rakuten... and thoroughly incorporated it in your unique writing. Well, that is very thoughtful of you.” By that, she clearly meant that he understood her tastes inside out. Though describing her beauty with the 沉魚落雁,閉月羞花 idiom was a little too much yet managed to lift up her own confidence to fly over the moon, she couldn’t deny that.
“…Thank you.” To him, she offered her most genuine smile of gratitude whilst returning the parchment paper into its folded state. “I shall keep this as a gift to remember you by.” Into the little paulownia box of secrets && mementos of hers that it shall went later.
“Anyway, shouldn’t we raise our glasses together to celebrate?” Megohime lifted one of her presents that was simply laying on the floor, which was basically a bottle of the highest-quality rice wine — complimented by two matching cups. “Hey, it’s my birthday party today! And for that, I get my own birthday girl privileges to do whatever I want with you…”
“…You see?”

(Crying I don’t think my first ask went thru LMAO)
Can I get ∅ for Mayuu’s opinion on Nox? (And mby Saga if u want ksjfjsbdhfb)
DFFDSK the other one went through, but I'm answering this one to be silly 😈
Sadly no doodle for this one + the future ones... at least not yet >:o
[Flipping through the logbook, you're presented with two entries]
[What lies ahead beckons you to turn the page]
v [take the plunge?] v
[ TALE OF SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, CONT. ]
Teach me your ways!: You could say that Mayuu looks up to Nox in a sense, especially when it comes to dual-wielding combat. She’d definitely take the opportunity to spar with him for the experience! After all, it’s quite rare to come across another fellow dual-wielder.
“Our battle may be legendary, so don’t go easy on me now” The prefect takes a stance, preparing herself for what’s to come.
Please don’t report me: Let’s just say that there were one…two?- Definitely a certain amount of occurrences where Mayuu almost struck Nox. She claims it was out of self-defense since she was caught off guard by his presence. Nothing says hello like an elbow to the face.
“I’m so sorry- I SWEAR I didn’t mean to do that?!?!”
You’re a cruel one, Nox: Mayuu finds the degree of his dislike for fae to be odd. But she supposes she can’t judge him; she doesn’t know him too well, even with knowledge of him in past timelines. But still, it’s somewhat heartbreaking for her to see how he is with faeries, especially considering that the ones she knew were nothing but helpful.
“Don’t you suppose that…you’re being too much?” Mayuu wears a look of disapproval.
[ TALE OF AGGRAVATING ANOMALIES, CONT.]
What the hell’s up with him?: He’s weird as hell, and that’s not really saying much… Everyone is strange and hella weird to Mayuu. But what separates him is his creepiness and overall vibe. She can handle nervous weirdos like Idia, but Saga? Yeah… No thanks.
“If I had to choose between cleaning up the entire campus or hanging out with Saga for an hour, I’d be heading straight for the janitor’s closet right when you mention his name.”
Take a chill pill, I meant no ill will: At first, Mayuu didn’t really bat another eye at this fellow. NRC students are weird, she knows that well. But Saga’s accusations of her being suspicious of him? Especially with that “glare” of hers? The prefect felt… disheartened. Ah Mayuu, your natural RBF never fails to bite you in the ass…
“What glare?! THAT’S JUST HOW I LOOK!?!?” Mayuu said calmly.
I’m crazy?? YOU’RE CRAZY!!: To no surprise, this poor prefect is fed up with Saga. No matter how many chances of redemption she gives him, it just seems hopeless. His remarks about her only add more salt to the wound.
“Lord have mercy- this f- MAN is going to make me lose my hair before I turn 20!! I don't judge him for his 'hobby', so he better not judge me for strangling Kyuu.”
Understandable, please shut up: Despite being the listening type, Mayuu can’t help but get overwhelmed when this guy opens his mouth. His nonsense is just a neverending stream of negative blabbering… Believe me, she has tried to respond back, but that just seems to encourage him to ramble even more.
“My brain can only handle so much… he’s like a toddler when he babbles. Christ, my head’s spinning again just by thinking about it.” Mayuu looked like she was about to lose it then and there. Yeesh, guess he was too much for her to handle.
