Y'all, the world is sleeping on what NASA just pulled off with Voyager 1

The probe has been sending gibberish science data back to Earth, and scientists feared it was just the probe finally dying. You know, after working for 50 GODDAMN YEARS and LEAVING THE GODDAMN SOLAR SYSTEM and STILL CHURNING OUT GODDAMN DATA.

So they analyzed the gibberish and realized that in it was a total readout of EVERYTHING ON THE PROBE. Data, the programming, hardware specs and status, everything. They realized that one of the chips was malfunctioning.

So what do you do when your probe is 22 Billion km away and needs a fix? Why, you just REPROGRAM THAT ENTIRE GODDAMN THING. Told it to avoid the bad chip, store the data elsewhere.

Sent the new code on April 18th. Got a response on April 20th - yeah, it's so far away that it took that long just to transmit.

And the probe is working again.

From a programmer's perspective, that may be the most fucking impressive thing I have ever heard.

Today on Donuts and Dogs we encountered a large dog with a muzzle in a group with a few other dogs on the trail. I didn’t initiate anything but the dog came up and rubbed so aggressively affectionately on us that we had to pet him.

I offered that I’ve seen dogs muzzled to prevent them eating rocks as a roundabout question. His mom sighed and said he has to wear it because otherwise he eats marijuana.

had an experience today like your buldak 😔. i got honey chilli chicken from the canteen and the lady doused it in sauce, but i had to leave it in my room cause i needed to go give my film to my teacher. come back 10mins later, starving, site down and take a huge bit into the chicken. which has been marinating in this sauce for far too long. my mouth was on fire, my throat was burned to a crisp, i started coughing and my eyes started watering. i didnt have any water. 0/10 would not experience again

#answered asks #blackhole-that-is-life #but augh i googled honey chilli chicken and it looks so delicious... i would be dead just from looking i suppose but aaaaaaaa #LOL i remember going to a korean restaurant with a friend and getting tteokbokki. after first bite i was like hey this sauce isn't that bad #i thought it would be super spicy but it's really manageable! #(yours truly was then obliterated by -- so to speak -- delayed ignition) #the same happened with korean fried chicken in another restaurant and i was SO SAD #but the next time we came there they had a mild version ^__^ #god i want kfc so baaaaad
