There are many warriors, fools and children, Captain. The child in you can't see how things are, but how they can be. The fool denies his destiny, but it is the warrior you are who will create one. You are never one of these. In time, you become all of them.
This is the moment Kallus finally realizes that he's never going to catch the Spectres. And it's the moment that his redemption begins.
Every single episode Kallus is in this season he's met with failure after failure, and we witness his frustration grow every single time. He tries everything, has all of the odds in his favor countless times and yet every single time the rebels slip through his fingers.
And it all leads to this. This has to be it. He has the Spectres cornered against an exploded star cluster, they have no where to go, this time he's going to win. He has the laws of physics as his ally for force sake!
... but he still loses.
The rebels fly into the star cluster, completely unharmed. Meanwhile his Tie Fighters and light cruiser are being torn apart right in front of him.
I've seen so much talk about how Zeb sparing Kallus's life on Bahyrn was the prophesy of the Child saving the Warrior being fulfilled. I'm not arguing with that, because the prophesy was fulfilled time and time again in Rebels. But this was the first spark of the flame that saved Kallus.
This was the Child saving the Warrior for the first time.
Had this episode happened sooner than it did, I think Kallus would have continued to fly in after them and died - or at the very least gotten very close to it, with all of his men dead and him hanging on for dear life in a barely functioning escape pod.
He wouldn't have had the mounting pile of failures to humble him, wouldn't have had the miracles he'd witnessed the Spectres pull off as warnings to not take them lightly. When we first met Kallus he was an extremely prideful man (still is, even when he defects, but he gains some humility to balance it out), so certain of himself that he quite literally threw himself into danger numerous times with the expectation that he'd win, because he'd never been challenged like he had been with the Spectres. If he was still that same unchallenged man all would have been lost.
But Kallus lets them go, crawling away with a damaged but still mostly working ship after witnessing the laws and forces of nature itself bend to the rebels will.
And it destroys his pride, and his hope. He's been thoroughly devastated by his failures... though he is still in denial about why he's failing, and why he'll continue to fail. He still isn't seeing the bigger picture about the shortcomings of the Empire, he still doesn't think to ask the questions he should. Much like the Fool, in denial of what is destiny.
The next time we see Kallus is above Geonosis - with like 30 storm troopers, a handful of walkers, and... what? 3 tie fighters for an ambush against enemies that fought gravity and won?
He went into this knowing there wasn't a point. And the entire time his ambush party is distracting the rest of the Spectres he's fighting Zeb - and only Zeb. He follows him all the way into an escape pod, with the goal seemingly to take Zeb down with him, because he knows that he can't take them all. But if he can get one, the one who he's obsessed with the most, then it will be enough.
A very foolish plan, much befitting the Fool.
This plan inevitably fails, and Kallus is injured and stranded with his mortal enemy. Unable to fight anymore he submits himself to his failure, so certain that he's going to either be murdered by Zeb or freeze to death. He sits there, shivering and terrified, muttering about the monsters in the dark.
Much like a Child.
There are many warriors, fools and children. In time, you become all of them.
When Zeb spares Kallus's life, giving him the meteorite to keep warm, moving to fight the Bonzami alone, mending Kallus's hurt leg, taking his advice on how to get out of the cave, all before carrying him up the pillar and throwing him out of harms way - the child completely and undoubtedly saving the warrior - Kallus shoots the Bonzami instead of Zeb.
The Child saves the Warrior, and in turn the Warrior saves the Child. Time and time again. Kallus asks questions, he becomes fulcrum, he risks his life and safety over and over again to save Zeb and his family. And as Zeb found Lira San by saving Kallus, Kallus finds a home on Lira San by saving Zeb.
And it all started here.

While the other Visions episodes, for the most part, cannot be CLEARLY dated, they're pretty easy to ballpark with outfits, ship styles, comments made by the characters, and the presence or absence of the Empire.

Stars Beyond Number - Coming September 3
Tumblr media
Soldiers. Heroes. Deserters. Traitors. They've been called many things. As the Galactic Empire rises from the ashes of the Republic, a small group of clone troopers and their allies will find a new identity: Rebels.
Echo, Rex, and Gregor are on a mission to save as many of their brothers as they can. The task is daunting, and their friends are few. But from these small and desperate beginnings will come a spark of resistance that will set the galaxy ablaze.
Tumblr media
Hey friends! I'm very excited to share that I'll be sharing a new longer fic very soon! Stars Beyond Number is set between episodes 8 and 14 of The Bad Batch season 2 and follows Rex's resistance cell. This fic shares continuity with Martyrs and Kings, but they can both be read as stand-alone stories. The tone overall is darker and more action-oriented, but ultimately hopeful (because it's Star Wars).
Join my tag list here to get notified when each chapter drops. I'll be posting a chapter every Sunday.
Overall Rating: Mature/18+/Minors DNI (rating varies by chapter; mature content will be tagged)
Pairings: Echo x Riyo Chuchi; Gregor x OFC Cerra Kilian
Overall Warnings: angst, smut, violence

Bo-Katan Backstory Watch List for fans of The Mandalorian
If you're watching the Mandalorian but haven't watched Clone Wars and Rebels here's a list of episodes, with enough background information that you can jump right in: The Clone Wars
Season 2: Episodes 12, 13, 14 (runtime 66 minutes) Years ago, before The Phantom Menace, when Obiwan was a teen/young adult Mandalore fell into civil war and their leader, the Mandalore, was ultimately killed. His daughter, crown princess Satine, took the throne but not the title of Mandalore, instead calling herself Dutchess and instituting a new way, passifism. She banned wearing armor and carrying weapons. Moved everyone away from the old religion.
Those who wanted to defend the planet, the Protectors, went to Concord Dawn, those who wished to practice the old religion and keep weapons and armor went to the moon of Concordia. But in the old religion strength and glory in battle was everything, passifism and refusing to fight is the antithesis of that, what Mandalorians would consider almost satanic. So a terrorist group of religious zealots is trying to overthrow Satine and restore Mandalore to the old ways.
Season 5: Episodes 14, 15, 16 (runtime 66 minutes)
Darth Maul has survived, replacing the lower half of his body with a machine. Forsaken by Palpatine he seeks power, aided by a brother from his own world, Save Oppress, who was briefly trained by Count Dooku before being taken on by Maul as an apprentice. An alliance with the Mandalorians seeking to overthrow Satine gives Maul the chance to get what he wants most- power and to lore Obi Wan Kenobi into a trap so he may take revenge.
Season 7: Episodes 9, 10 (runtime 44 minutes)
During the Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker took on an apprentice, Ahsoka Tano. Ahsoka left the Jedi order after she was framed for a crime she did not commit and had to prove her innocence on her own, while being hunted by the Jedi and Republic forces. Because the Jedi, aside from Anakin, did not trust her she grew disillusioned with the order and made her own way in the galaxy. The Jedi Order had become pawns in Palpatine’s war instead of keepers of peace, but Ahsoka still fights to help the people.
Now the Clone Wars draws to an end and Ahsoka has joined Bo-Katan to answer her plea for help. (The last three episodes of season 7: 9, 10 and 11 are like a companion peace to revenge of the Sith and worth watching).
Rebels
Season 2: Episodes 13 (Run time: 22 minutes)
Sabine Wren, a runaway from Emperial-controlled Mandalor has joined the rebellion, adopted by rebel star pilot Hera and Jedi Kanan Jarus, who survived order 66 as a child. Along with fellow rebel Zeb, droid Chopper, and Kanan's Padawan Ezra, this found family crew fights for the rebellion. In this episode we see the struggle of a Jedi raising a young Mandalorian.
Season 3: Episodes 7, (Run time: 22 minutes)
Sabine Wren tries to convince a Mandalorian captive to join the rebellion.
Season 3: Episodes 15, 16 (Run time: 44 minutes)
Sabine recovered the Dark Saber from Darth Maul. The Dark Saber has the potential to unite Mandalorians, and Jedi Kanan Jarrus sets out to train Sabine to wield it in the hopes that she can lead all Mandalorians into a rebellion against the Empire. But first Sabine will have to face her own past, including the family she fled
Season 4: Episodes 1, 2 (Run time: 44 minutes)
Bo-Katan makes her debut on Rebels and we see the story of how she became the leader of the Mandalorian rebellion.

Rebels Season 1 Rewatch
Let's start off with Rebels being an awesome show. It was a major part of my life ever since I was 14 (which was when Season 3 came out), and I remember actively checking the library website daily when Season 4 came out, desperate to reserve it or get on the waitlist for it as early as possible. It was the first show I was immensely invested in, and as such it holds a special place in my heart. So, I decided to (FINALLY) rewatch it after all these years, and wow am I not disappointed
I've always defended Season 1, saying it's not as bad as people say. Sure, it's got a lot of issues, and it's definitely not the best Rebels has to offer, but it's at least good. I think I underappreciated it last time I watched it though. The show is clumsy, but only because it fails to balance being a kids show with being a deep show with complex themes like the Clone Wars did. Each individual episode was good, everything built up to a satisfying finale, and characters were fleshed out really well. I can't really complain too much about it because quite frankly, it's only fault is experimenting and trying to be something amazing
But, there are two changes I would make to Season 1 if I got to redo it. And it's worth noting that neither would change the overarching plotline, and most episodes would remain as-is, they're more minor changes that would've had a much stronger impact
Ezra Isn't Kanan's First Padawan
This is the biggest change I would make. Kanan has renewed hope by the start of Season 1, and he's fighting hard, so it would've been cool if we had the show hinting at a former padawan prior to Ezra. In Episode 10 "Path of the Jedi" when Yoda and Kanan talk, have Kanan admit he's scared of failing Ezra like he failed his other padawan. Leave the other padawan's fate ambiguous of course, so you could potentially bring them back. Likely as an Inquisitor for the Ahsoka show so that you don't have to use an animated suit of Inquisitor armor. This would add so much depth to Kanan's pain and trauma, and it would add a lot of gravity to Ezra's training for older audiences, but for kids it would just be a cool fun fact about Kanan's past
2. Kanan Taps Into The Dark Side
In Episode 15, we get the finale, "Fire Across the Galaxy". Ezra saves Kanan, and the two end up facing off against the Grand Inquisitor. This is an epic Star Wars battle, and it shows off the Grand Inquisitor's power, as he defends against opponents on either side of him. He gives Ezra his iconic cheek scars and knocks him off the platform. Ezra's fine, of course, but Kanan (and maybe a couple of audience members? But that's a stretch lol) believes Ezra was killed.
K: "That was a mistake." GI: "Why? Because you have no one else to die for you?" K: "No, because I have nothing left to fear."
EPIC leadup to Kanan tapping into the Dark Side, but instead the show squanders their opportunity. Kanan is stronger than ever in the Light Side, and instead of the Grand Inquisitor being killed in a fair fight at his full power, he's killed by his own failure to recognize the flaw in his lightsaber design. It feels unsatisfying when rewatching it. I wish Kanan tapped into the Dark Side, calling upon it for power, and using it to destroy the Grand Inquisitor. I wish Ezra witnessed that, and saw the darkness within Kanan, yet still chose to learn from him. It could be a cautionary tale for Ezra, who now understands what the Dark Side is, and in early Season 3 when Ezra taps into the Dark Side himself, and when he talks to Kanan about it, have him say something like "I understand why you used it. It makes sense now" or something
Conclusion
Rebels Season 1 is amazing and heavily underrated, but it fails to balance it's themes efficiently, which pushes more mature audiences away and damages the show way more than it should
If you have yet to watch Rebels Season 1, please give it a chance, and continue on to the end of Season 4

my friend, my dear,, pls,,, rebels ask game numbers 1-30 👁👁 (and course feel free to break into chunks or anything I just NEED TO KNOW- I'm genuinely so interested in your thoughts)
This is my absolute favourite way of receiving an ask ♥️♥️♥️ Thank you for that!!!
I already answered 1 and 28 right here, 16 and 27 right here and 29 right here
This is gonna be a lot so let's get started
2. Which episode did you not like at first but grew on you after one or more rewatches?
I don't think I disliked any episode
3. How do you feel about the Ahsoka show being live-action Rebels season 5?
I have a complicated relationship with live-actions and I'd personally prefer they just make animated Rebels season 5 xd and I'm kinda scared they're gonna destroy the Rebels characters in that or totally disregard the show because some fans didn't watch it so they feel they can (and that they totally ignore important characters like Zeb and Kallus), I'm also too much behind all newer Star Wars shows so I don't really feel much about Ahsoka show yet, at least not til I catch up on the rest
4. Who is your favourite one-off character on the show?
Hm Zare Leonis I think, I liked the kiddo and kinda expected more of him later but he never reappeared
5. If you could change one (non-death-related) plot point in the show, what would you change?
Off a hard one, non-death-related? I guess I'd want to see more of Kallus in season 4 and more of the clones in general
6. What are your two favourite ships from the show (canon or not)?
KALLUZEB AND KANERA
7. Who is one character you feel isn't appreciated enough by the fandom?
I stay in my safe corner of Kallus stans, but I'd say he is overlooked sometimes. He and Chopper, who is like, one of the most hilarious character in the entirety of Star Wars
8. If you couldn've added an episode/story arc to the show, what would it be?
Kallus' backstory for sure, bonus points if it's an angsty one
9. Obligatory "who's your favourite member of the crew?" question
Hard tie between all of them, thank you (read: all)
10. Aside from season 4 episode 10, which episode made you cry the most?
When in the end of Heroes of Mandalore: Part 1 Sabine's weapon gets used on her people and she thinks it killed her family, I WAS HEARTBROKEN
11. What is one joke/moment from the show that always makes you laugh?
"We stole a TIE fighter"
"You WHAT?!"
Never fails.
12. Which design of Sabine's hair and armour is your favourite?
Hair: white and violet, I adore it
Armour: season 3
13. Chopper vs Palpatine- who's making it out alive?
Ideally? Chopper. Realistically? Chopper.
14. What is your favourite moment of the crew being a family?
When Zeb admits to betting Chopper in Sabacc and Hera lectures him like a mom and then scolds Kanan like an angry wife (in Polish she literally says "what kind of example are you setting?")
15. What is your favourite Kanera moment?
Everytime Hera calls him "Love" ♥️ (in Polish- "Sun"☀️)
17. What is your opinion on the World Between Worlds?
I don't know honestly, but it's interesting
18. Where do you think Ezra has been all this time?
Out in the Unknown Regions with Thrawn, camping and bonding
19. What is one of your favourite Kanan moments?
When he acts like a drunk, embarrassing dad
20. What is one of your favourite Hera moments?
All, I love that woman (you should too)
21. What is one of your favourite Chopper moments?
Whenever he wrecks havoc, so like 98% of the time
22. What is one of your favourite Zeb moments?
That one part where after the battle over Atollon they get Kallus' coordinates and he looks so concerned abd scared for Kal ♥️
23. What is one of your favourite Sabine moments?
Her training with the darksaber
24. What is one of your favourite Ezra moments?
That part when he discovers he is Force Sensitive and saves Zeb's life
25. Which of Ezra's two lightsabers would you rather have?
First one, the original with a built in blaster
26. Would you rather be stuck in an elevator with AP-5 or Lieutenant Lyste?
Bold of you to assume I'd step into an elevator and besides the point I do like AP-5 unironically and would willingly spend time with him
30. Most under-rated episode?
The Future of the Force (S2E10)

Star Wars Rebels Bechdel Test Rewatch- Season 4 Recap
Tumblr media
Well, I had an absolute blast on this rewatch. I appreciate Rebels more and more on subsequent rewatches. I will do a full series recap soon, but first I wanted to dive into Season 4 specifically.
14 out of 16 episodes in Season 4 pass the Bechdel Test. Technically, Season 2 and 3 tie with the most passing episodes with 15 out of 22. But Season 4 takes the cake percentage-wise based on total episodes per season. Once again, this is also more passing episodes than any single season of The Clone Wars which peaked at 11 passing episodes in Seasons 3 and 5.
The only Season 4 episodes that didn't pass are 'In the Name of the Rebellion, Part 2' and 'A Fool's Hope.'
The series finale featured the strongest female representation of the season with 6 female characters. This is also a series high.
There are 10 named female characters with speaking roles in Season 4, which is slightly up from 9 in Season 3. Season 2 still comes out on top with 13. Anything is better than Season 1's measly 4 female characters. By comparison, there are 35 named male characters with a speaking role in Season 4. Just a little uneven. Out of the 10 female characters, just 2 were new to the series (Bo-Katan and Cleat.)
The characters who recurred the most frequently are:
Sabine Wren (16 episodes)
Hera Syndulla (15 episodes)
Arihnda Pryce- (7 episodes)
Mon Mothma (4 episodes)
Ketsu Onyo (3 episodes)
Ahsoka Tano, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Ursa Wren appear in 2 episodes each.
For the first time since Season 1, Sabine joins Ezra and Chopper in appearing in every episode this season.
This season seemed stronger in representation overall with each episode featuring at least 2 female characters.
Overall, the final season did pretty well! I had a blast and I'm a little sad it's over, but now I at least have Ahsoka to look forward to. Thanks for following along!

Spoilers for The Bad Batch season 2 episode 14
This!! This is what I’ve been waiting for! Just give me a whole show of Rex’s operation and that would be worth living for!!!
Echo, Gregor, Fireball and co. just being the most goddamned badasses this galaxy has ever seen and saving my baby boy Howzer 😍!! I’m dead and resurrected!
And Chuchi is working with them too! I’m speechless!
I don’t care about Crosshair and the rest of the Batch are REALLY slooooowly growing on me, but… I would definitely just trade Omega and co. for a show where Rex is clone Fulcrum and his clones for clones operation is just working their way to become the biggest rock in the Empire’s boots.
I mean.. I know it won’t end well I’ve seen Rebels for kriff’s sake but isn’t that how Star Wars is with the Prequels, and mainly the clones’ fans? We know they will have the worst and most bitter and pointless ends but we just want to enjoy the ride and love our boys while they are alive on screen😭 (and write lots of fanfics where they live happily ever after). Is it asking too much?
This whole episode left me with my heart warm because I saw my babies and they are alright for now and they are still fighting the good fight and I’m so proud of them 🥹.

me holding a gun trusting not a single ted lasso writer like how are you going to break my heart. they're sick enough to make a no relationships endgame and it would be good and thematically satisfying and i will never be able to watch another television show ever again

“Get back?” Darius repeated, arching a brow. “Where are you going?”
“Oh!” Hunter brightened, straightening his back, eyes shining. “Willow’s dads organized a flyer derby game between Hexside and Glandus! It’s just a scrimmage, you know, since the regular season won’t start until spring, but the Emerald Entrails are going to show them we’ve been practicing!” This punctuated with a very… earnest chopping motion of his hand.
But Darius was immediately skeptical. “Should you be flying around with Flapjack this soon? Dell said to be careful with straining the new staff until the wood is settled.”
Darius goes to a flyer derby match.

andor starting with the 'BBY 5' like. this man will be dead in five years. he will die fighting for a rebellion he will never see completed. he will die but it will have been worth it. it will have worked. all of the power the empire is using to crush everyone under heel every single episode will fall because in five years this man and one ship's crew and a party of rebels fought back against impossible odds.
time is measured against the battle cassian and rogue one made possible to win. BBY 5. dead man walking biting killing yelling

The "Star Wars" franchise has a rich history spanning movies, television series, books, comics, and more. Here's a timeline of significant events and developments in the Star Wars universe:
1. **1977: A New Hope (Episode IV)** - The original Star Wars film directed by George Lucas is released. It introduces audiences to a galaxy in turmoil, with the Rebel Alliance fighting against the tyrannical Galactic Empire. This film marks the beginning of the Star Wars saga.
2. **1980: The Empire Strikes Back (Episode V)** - The sequel deepens the story, revealing Darth Vader's true identity as Anakin Skywalker and the Rebel Alliance's struggles against the Empire. It also introduces Yoda and expands the Force's concept.
3. **1983: Return of the Jedi (Episode VI)** - The original trilogy concludes with the defeat of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader's redemption. The Rebel Alliance celebrates the fall of the Empire, and Anakin Skywalker returns as a Force spirit.
4. **1991: Heir to the Empire** - Timothy Zahn's novel introduces the Expanded Universe (now known as Legends), setting the stage for a vast array of Star Wars novels and comics. This book features the enigmatic character Thrawn.
5. **1999: The Phantom Menace (Episode I)** - George Lucas returns to the big screen with the prequel trilogy, exploring the rise of Darth Vader. Episode I introduces characters like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala.
6. **2002: Attack of the Clones (Episode II)** - The prequel trilogy continues with the growth of the Clone Wars, and Anakin's journey towards the dark side intensifies.
7. **2005: Revenge of the Sith (Episode III)** - The prequel trilogy concludes with Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader and the fall of the Jedi Order. Palpatine solidifies his control over the galaxy.
8. **2008: Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Animated Series)** - This animated series adds depth to the Clone Wars era and introduces fan-favorite characters like Ahsoka Tano. It also expands the lore of the Force and the galaxy.
9. **2012: Disney Acquires Lucasfilm** - Disney purchases Lucasfilm, paving the way for a new era of Star Wars storytelling.
10. **2015: The Force Awakens (Episode VII)** - Disney's sequel trilogy begins with new characters like Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren, while also featuring classic characters like Han Solo and Princess Leia. The First Order rises from the ashes of the Empire.
11. **2016: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story** - This standalone film explores the Rebel mission to steal the Death Star plans, providing crucial backstory to the original trilogy.
12. **2017: The Last Jedi (Episode VIII)** - The sequel trilogy continues, challenging traditional Star Wars themes and character arcs. Rey's parentage is a central focus, and the Resistance faces dire straits.
13. **2019: The Rise of Skywalker (Episode IX)** - The sequel trilogy concludes with the final battle against Emperor Palpatine's return. The Force is explored in new ways, and the saga ends with the potential for new adventures.
14. **2019: The Mandalorian (Disney+ Series)** - This series introduces the Mandalorian, Din Djarin, and the adorable Grogu (Baby Yoda). It explores the post-Empire galaxy and the remnants of Imperial rule.
15. **2020: The Clone Wars (Final Season)** - The animated series returns for its final season, concluding story arcs and offering closure to characters like Ahsoka Tano and Darth Maul.
16. **2021: The Bad Batch (Animated Series)** - This series follows the adventures of Clone Force 99, a group of unique clones, in the aftermath of the Clone Wars.
17. **2023: Upcoming Projects** - Disney continues to expand the Star Wars universe with upcoming projects, including new series like "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and "Ahsoka," as well as films and more.
The Star Wars timeline showcases how this franchise has evolved, introducing new generations of fans to its captivating characters and timeless themes of good versus evil, redemption, and the power of the Force.
