EO3 (partial) lineup - November-December 2022
Peak MAbo is collaborating with your best friend for a(n admittedly unfair) final project (for web development!!!! an elective!!!), saying you would post it, forgetting about it for a year, posting it on Artstation and forgetting about it again.
As always, AC drew the lineart, and I colored. Designs were more of a collaborative effort between the two of us!
Probably should have shared this when the HD collection came out... anyway it's here now!
Some design ramblings under the cut :0! There's a lot i wanna share especially given that we recently did a soft rewrite that departed from the guild system entirely ^^" and EO3's cast was actually one of the first that we had, surprisingly!
Tumblr media
Micah is quite clearly alt gladiator 3, but in an entirely different profession. instead of going into the labyrinth, he works in what i imagine would be an analogue to the forge in Tharsis (aka helping people make things busted af). It probably works best for his character, since he was always a gizmo freak even in his first iteration! geomagnetic (or submagnetic, ugh) gizmo is AC's idea!
Tumblr media
Micah's brother, Eva, is a very loose spin on zodiac 3, but with a wayyyy lighter colour palette. Admittedly, i did steal a little bit of the spiritmaster's coat from bravely default, but AC managed to spin it back to resembling the original coat that the class had. Eva works as an astronomer, hence the little telescope he always has on him.
Tumblr media
Next up we have Eva's protégé, Miri (who was imported from AC's stories)! Theoretically, Miri would be a second zodiac, and, after watching some EO3 speedruns, would probably be really strong in the earlygame when working with Eva in an actual playthrough. AC's design heavily borrows from Patho II's Grace, hence the coat + dress combo.
Tumblr media
Following Miri in this lineup would be Noa, her admittedly very lazy but clingy sibling. I think it's apparently here that we didn't have much time to filter what a believable design would be in an EO setting, given that Noa's clothes were translated directly from our designs of them in school attire. It's actually funny how for we diverged from their original portrait (buccaneer 3) to the point that she is literally unrecognizable. Truly a pipeline from good sea boy to j-horror twist character.
Tumblr media
Last in the OC section would be Masaru, who recently found work for the Senatus. Admittedly he does have another example of "incongruent time period" clothing (the jacket), though it's a lot more reworkable than Noa. We also made his design a lot less poofy and rugged compared to the original, and I mixed the base and alt color palettes as well to make him less, well, glaringly red. Probably one of the funnier things is that his clothing palette made him blend in more with the likes of Kujura, but given that they work for the same place, it'll probably work out fine.
Tumblr media
Now we go onto NPCs, and who better to start than with Flowdia! Admittedly, her art was one of the last ones that we did, hence why her design looks relatively plain (sorry lola). Probably one of the things I would like to add would be more ornate patterns, perhaps of butterflies to tie her closer to Gutrune!
Tumblr media
Before we get to the Princess, we gotta get through her bodyguard first! >:0 I honestly don't like Kujura because I answered honestly in his first question, and he said that I was prideful, but AC likes him so he looks really good here. He isn't as rendered here as he is in his portrait, since he was also one of the last characters we made, and I didn't really get to notice that he doesn't have as much value contrast in his clothing as Masaru does. Probably something to think about next time I color him >:0
Tumblr media
Next up we have Gutrune!! We decided to make her look more jellyfish-like, while still keeping it a bit uncanny and unsettling. We tried to give her a more traditionally Filipiniana look (mostly on the Maria Clara gown), but we haven't yet made a poncho design that mixes well with butterfly sleeves without looking cluttered. As such, she has a more nightdress-y look here. AC drew in a few tentacles, and I couldn't help but make them look squishy.
Tumblr media
Last but not least is Olympia! We wanted to align her appearance more with her background, hence her altered design :0 Having rips of the artbook easily accesible online also helped us flesh out her hair in particular, since we didn't want to just transplant Gutrune's hairstyle onto her.
And that's all of them!!! I'm honestly hoping to draw more EO characters, though Seyfried's design scares me (honestly the reason why I couldn't make a Reversed Emperor comic).
Currently, I've made a lot of progress on the EO4 game, and I'm excited to draw up the three N-turned-PCs + Xiuan >:'0!!! I don't think I can ever get as cool as Morika tho. If you've come this far and aren't into EO, please check out their blog!! Their art is stunning and has come a really long way :")

Hi!
Kacchan and winning are deeply connected, and we all saw how he reacted to losing at the start of the story 😅
So, assuming there's going to be another sports festival or something (or any type of fight that's a bit low stakes, without the world ending) if, hypothetically, loses, against Deku or Todoroki (because let's be honest, anyone else coming close to defeating him isn't possible) how is he going to react, since he's a bit more mature now? Will he cry about it 😂 (affectionate)
Also, I just read Dragonheart and it's awesome. The imagery, the parallels and the characterization 👏🏼
I (lovingly) reject the premise of the question 😛
You and pretty much everyone else, through no faults of your own, have not read my extremely strong opinions about the sports festival because I...still haven't written them. That's on me. And I think it's entirely fair that you'd like to consider a what-if about the future regarding the sports festival/low-stakes competition and life after the main MHA story. It's just that my answer to the question may seem way too pedantic and serious for what really is a light-hearted question.
BUT, I AM ME, AND SO WE'RE DOING THIS.
First of all, here are my pertinent doubts:
Will the sports festival even exist in the future? Will UA and hero schools exist in the future? Will competitions soon veer away from comparing quirks back to comparing individual athletic ability and achievement? All of these things seem like distinct possibilities.
Does Izuku even end up with One For All at the end of this? Does Katsuki still have Explosion after the end? I hate to bring up the possibilities here, but I regret to inform you that they do exist.
Assuming UA does persist and we get let's say a sports festival, I'm sorry if this starts some shit but: Shouto doesn't stand a chance against Katsuki. I don't mean this derisively, but as I think about the narrative as it presents the relationship between Shouto and victory versus Katsuki and victory, Shouto very clearly always was meant for a different direction than exploring "victory" as a theme. Such low-stakes "victories" do very little to advance Shouto towards his goal of becoming a hero who puts others at ease. His truly important "victories" and "losses" really just serve the purpose of showing him the ways he should try to improve and develop. In many instances, "victory" would have actually hurt his character rather than help him. The competitive spirit and drive to improve will always be important parts of Shouto's character, but what he wants ultimately diverges from straightforward competition, and that's a weakness (in the sense of plot armor) when fighting Katsuki.
Building off of that, we must consider the narrative purpose of these so-called "low-stakes" fights. The stakes are determined by the story, and they are only low-stakes in the sense that no one's lives are on the line, but MHA always finds a way to hype up the stakes of these competitions. I bring up the narrative so often because I think that was a big piece of the sports festival that flew over many people's heads. The sports festival was never about determining who was the strongest--it was always about subverting that trope. We come away from the first sports festival unable to properly call any among Izuku, Katsuki, or Shouto the strongest, and that's on purpose. Indeed, all of these competitions in MHA come with a twist that results in how "finding out who is strongest" is truly a useless concept. And that brings me to Katsuki.
Katsuki's entire character revolves around the idea that this "complete, perfect victory" as he originally thought of it was the wrong thing to pursue. He could win a tournament or achieve the highest grade by himself and still it would not bring him satisfaction, but such arbitrary things don't prove much of anything in the end and don't get him anywhere closer to his goals. Though he is presented as a great obstacle for all the other characters and an opportunity for everyone else to face him and grow as a result, Katsuki himself is constantly denied the chance to achieve solo victory in one form or another.
So I have very strong opinions about this idea of Katsuki winning or losing a low-stakes competition with no nuance because I think such a straightforward situation would never happen. It is as you say: he's "a bit more mature now," which I take to mean that he's done seeking those meaningless solo victories he started out craving. Katsuki's relationship with "victory" has changed into something completely different now, and so I make the following claim:
What would Katsuki do if he loses a low-stakes match in the future? Simple. Even if he loses, he doesn't actually lose. I imagine that in any situation where Katsuki appears to "lose," it would ultimately serve some better purpose.
Katsuki is a lot more subtle than many people give him credit for. He helps things to happen from a distant vantage point such that people get to feel the results of their achievements without realizing Katsuki ever had any involvement. Take the cultural festival: he only brings to light the important obstacles that their class needs to overcome (the general studies students' attitudes) and pledges to contribute to the event as a supporter for the right cause. He inspires the class, but he doesn't do all the work for them. He directs them down the best path, and everyone gets to feel the satisfaction of their ultimate achievements as a group.
So if Katsuki were to lose in a competition, I think it would be in a way that's still somehow all according to Katsuki's plan. And if losing is his plan, then...he wins. He gets what he wants. And that thing he wants can only be more important than merely winning an empty match. It's like how Izuku wins by losing against Shouto in the sports festival. Katsuki has been observing Izuku for that very talent and has learned to emulate it in his own way.
So Katsuki's reaction to "a loss" in competition would be entirely controlled and in service of achieving his goals, even if that "reaction" is just him pretending to be mad about it.
tl;dr Katsuki Bakugou always wins
P.S. Oh god people actually read Dragonheart? [cries in cat memes]

having scattershot thoughts sorry im in a rambling mood. but im wonderinggg about aspen (psmd hero) and nuzleaf's relationship in my little au again. cause here, aspen was also reincarnated as a pokemon and nuzleaf raised it when it was young. but i'm wondering about the timeline and if it hits harder if either:
nuzleaf was already possessed by dark matter at that point and took aspen in so he could manipulate it to unseal the fountain later- similar to the original game but it kinda creates a problem where like... why wouldnt he just take it to the fountain when they were a baby and wouldnt know what was going on? unless he just doesnt know where the fountain is until the plot. but then wouldn't dark matter just tell him... idk
nuzleaf wasn't possessed when he adopted aspen and dark matter targeted him later. it's a bit more divergent from the games since their relationship isn't built on a lie, and i don't have to question why aspen wouldn't pick up on a change because they got the beheeyem to gaslight the hell out of them, but i'm also not quite sure on this... i feel like it's angstier if it was ALL a lie and nuzleaf started with bad intentions, grew to genuinely love aspen, but was too corrupted to turn back and aspen is questioning everything about its father.

Hi, I had a question about your portrayal of Jace Herondale if that's OK. Would you consider it to be more original, since you've made him a fey, or is he more canon-divergent/a mix of TMI & Descendants verses?
hello there ! sorry it took me a bit to get back to you. i am more then happy to answer any questions about my muse, but i am a little confused as to what you are trying to ask me ?
Jace does not have Fey ancestry and I have not indicated it on my carrd (from what i can see). he is mainly canon compliant save for a few things such as being engaged to Clary & for the fact that i do not follow anything on the show or movie wise. The actor that i picked to represent him did play a half-elf on one of his shows, but I only use those images as references for him and ignore the ears, as i do not want to use the actors two actors that played Jace in the movie & show.
I mean, technically speaking, he is a descendent from Belial, the prince of hell, but that is because he is a direct descendant of Tessa Grey. but that does not really have anything to do with the fae realm.
could you by chance be mixing up his lore with Mal ? because she is the only fae on this blog and is the one who is canon divergent as i have leaned a lot more in depth to fae lore then what is in the books & in the movies.

Hello! Here are some questions I'm asking fanfic writers for fun and for you to answer if you feel like it!!! :DD :
1. What is your favourite fic you have written and why? (This can be something you haven't published yet or a general story idea)
2. How long have you been writing fics for? (In general regardless of fandoms)
3. Best friend you have met through the Sonic fandom?
4. Another writer in the fandom who's work you admire?
5. Favourite Sonic oc you have made and why? (If you haven't made any then skip this one)
6. Your favourite (or favourites if it's hard to pick) fanfiction you've read?
7. Which fic have you written which has the most sentimental value or story behind it?
8. Favourite Sonic character?
If I have sent you this, love your work!!! Hope you have a good day and thank u for your contribution to the fandom!!!
This is so sweet, thank you! And I’m sorry it has taken me so long to answer; I haven’t been on an actual computer outside of my work one in a little bit (and I’m only on my Chromebook now, but it’s still easier to type long answers on a Chromebook than my phone).
1.) The one that means the most to me is definitely A Candle in the Dark, which is a YuGiOh fic that diverges from chapter 11 of the original manga. It’s the first (and so far only) novel-length story I have ever finished, clocking in at over 100k words, and I actually have a bound version of it on my bookshelf because of how proud I am of that achievement. And you know, re-reading it, I think that the writing holds up; I think it’s still one of the best things I have ever written. I will say that you don’t really need to know YuGiOh to understand it; no card games actually take place in the fic (since it takes place so early on in the series), and so long as you have a basic grasp of the characters I think it’s easy enough to understand. So if you’re interested, I would be honored if you read it! But know also that it is a dark fic, with heavy themes of abuse and other things, though I warn for everything at the start of each chapter that contains that content. Either way though, it’s still the most important fic to me, and is nearest and dearest to my heart.
2.) Mm, let’s see . . . the first story I ever wrote was an Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog fic for a school assignment when I was in first grade. I didn’t know what fanfiction even was at the time, but we were told to write a story, and that’s what I wrote. I don’t remember much about it, but I remember I did illustrations for it and everything . . . I’m sure it was terrible, but I had so much fun with it back then.
I didn’t really write consistently after that though, and in fact didn’t start writing consistently until I was 10. I still didn’t know what fanfiction was and to be honest I didn’t write fanfiction at first; I was just writing “original” things (read: I was writing a book that was basically Ocarina of Time but with dragons instead of horses and all of the characters were women except for the defenseless ranch boy the heroine had to save at some point). I never finished that, mostly because some bullies chucked my notebook out of the school bus window, but I did write a lot of it before that happened, and I wrote stories on the computer we had too and saved them to floppy discs. (This computer did not have access to the internet, and my floppy discs were in rainbow colors. I loved them.)
I discovered fanfiction when I was . . . thirteen, I think? When I had some AOL free trial discs to use on the computer that we had, and I googled for Cardcaptor Sakura stuff since I had just gotten the first six volumes of the manga and was back into that again. I discovered Cardcaptor Sakura fanfiction on some Geocities website, realized that this was totally a thing you could do, and later discovered FFN and started writing fic of my own. So if we consider that to be my fanfiction start, then it has been 20 years. But if we consider how long I’ve been writing fiction period, then I would say it’s closer to 23 years.
3.) I have so many great friends in this fandom! But I have to give a special mention to Steph (@skimmingmilk), because she is my co-author on our fic To Rearrange the Stars and it is also just crazy how much we have in common. I swear, it feels like every time we learn something new about each other it’s like “are you me? Are we the same person??” lmao. Plus it’s also nice that we’re about the same age (she’s only a year younger than I am) so it’s less lonely in the old folks retirement home LOL.
4.) Again, so many! Chaox’s (@chaoxfix) fics are what inspired me to start writing Sonic fics again though, and got me to break my something like three year streak of not writing anything, so I have to give her a special shoutout. My skills still feel very rusty, but they are less rusty now than they were this time last year, and I have her fics to thank for that.
5.) I have not written anything with her, but I am very fond of Misty Prower, i.e. Tails’ mom. Yes, she is deceased in my headcanons, but when she was alive she was a genius inventor like him, and had so many dreams of one day moving off West Side Island to go to a bigger city and change the world through the power of science. She sat him on her lap and taught him what different tools were called, and how to properly unscrew a bolt, and even though he doesn’t remember that she’s the one who taught him “righty-tighty, lefty-loosey,” he still remembers it to this day. She was clever and playful and happy with her life as the wife of a fisherman (especially since she built all the gear they used), but she could have done so much more, too, had she not died in that storm. I’m fond of her, and am still kicking around that idea of her meeting Sonic in limbo.
Aside from Misty, while he hasn’t yet made an appearance, I really like S.I.M., the A.I. that Miles built for himself in Beyond Oblivion (and I don’t feel this is a spoiler since he mentions S.I.M. in chapter four). While Miles tells himself that S.I.M. is not real and is just a program, S.I.M. is still the closest he has to a friend, and purposefully does things to make Miles smile and laugh. I have it in my mind that Tails eventually creates S.I.M. in the canon ‘verse, too, just later in life (since Tails doesn’t need S.I.M. like Miles did), and because Tails is a much healthier person than Miles in just about every way, this time the A.I. gets an actual name. I’m not fully decided on what that name will be yet, though I’m leaning heavily toward Net (as in internet). Net will take the form of a mouse (as in computer mouse) either on-screen or in hologram form, and just like S.I.M. tends to have a cheerful, bright, silly personality. Loves memes and making people laugh. So, same character, but different universe and development.
6.) My all-time favorite fics are The Legend of Zelda: The Return and its sequel, The Legend of Zelda: Reconciliation by Rose Zemlya. While there are things in those fics that haven’t aged well and that Rose has said she would write differently now (e.g. use of the word “psycho,” some off-color remarks about Sheik’s gender), I can look past those things because a.) Rose has acknowledged them as being problematic and would write them differently now, and b.) they’re small parts of otherwise excellent novels. I have been following these fics for 20 years now, and I will follow them for 60 more if that’s what it takes to see Reconciliation finished. Rose’s writing evolved and grew over time, and not only is it remarkable to see that happen, but the stories are just so goddamn excellent. If Reconciliation was finished they would both be on my bookshelf now. I can promise you that.
Another favorite is More Than Human by SBJ, which is a Powerpuff Girls fic that markets itself as a PPG/RRB fic set in high school, but it’s so much more than that. I mean, yes, it is that – but there is also a huge overarching plot, multiple character arcs that are being interwoven into the narrative, brilliant character studies, and more. I clicked on the fic after seeing one of my favorite fandom artists make art of it, and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s incredible, and it will be on my shelf once it is finished.
Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shoutout to a fic I actually DO have bound on my bookshelf, and that’s the first three fics in Sometimes The Picket Fence Isn’t Perfect series by the lovely Steph. I compiled all three into a PDF and had them bound into a physical book on my bookshelf so I can read it any time I want, even if the internet one day explodes. It is money well-spent. If you are a Sonic fan, and you like Unbreakable Bond, and you have not read those fics, then I recommend you change that posthaste. Because they are amazing.
7.) I don’t know that I have an answer to this question, sorry! Mostly because I’m not entirely sure what’s being asked. I’ll just again refer to A Candle in the Dark as my favorite of the fics I have written.
8.) My girl Whisper the Wolf has stolen my heart the most, but of course Miles “Tails” Prower is right up there with her. Ultimately, I think Whisper pulls ahead just a little because she has had the fewest opportunities for her character to be treated poorly (given that she debuted in the IDW comics and, aside from the mobile games, has yet to make the jump to other media), and because I find her to be a really well-written character with trauma in the stories in which she’s focused. She’s also a wolf, which is another bonus because wolves are my favorite animal. But I have always loved Tails when he is written well, and I will always love him when he is written well, especially because he’s written like a classical antihero, which I find to be an interesting character when done well. What can I say, I’m just drawn to the canines. :)
Thank you again for sending this, I really appreciate it!

Bestie. Bestie. I know I've already sent him for a character meme before, but that was a long time ago and also this one is ~detailed~ so. Takuto, if you'll indulge me? :3
Also! If I may, I'm sending Akechi too 'cause we all want to talk about our blorbos ^^ <3
mwah thank you bestie 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
takuto:
What I like about them: he’s genuinely such an interesting character. his role in the story is generally such a sexy one (anti-villains are p rare from my experience so it’s so cool to see one). i love his confidant and even his class questions and his presence is genuinely very calming
What I dislike about them: why are you me. i’m me
Favourite moment: that one scream after the fist fight. you know the one
Least favourite moment: hmmmmm not sure if i have one i particularly dislike but ig while they’re very plot and character important, his one on one conversations with the thieves can be a bit slow and at times even uncomfortable to watch bc of second hand embarrassment lmao
A situation with this character that I want to see explored more: i really wanna know what happens to him in his reality! we see him basically become a nobody, the thieves don’t recognize him, and i assume it’s his doing? so i’m curious, once everyone’s happiness is actualized, what does he have left to do?? what does he do??? pls i need answers
An interesting AU for this character: curious to think abt how thing’s would’ve gone if he told akira from the start he knows they’re the pt and abt the metaverse and cogpsi. like, how would the thieves react? would they be more guarded around him, or more open? would he become a confidant to them all? idk it’s interesting!!!! idek if it counts as an au bc it’s more canon divergence but eh.
A crossover: i’m ngl my brain is flat out of ideas. fuck it. the bible. biggest crossover of the year. ig it’s technically already canon but anyway
OTP: takuto x you u3u
Other ships?: takurumi ofc! and i think his ship with zenkichi is cute!
BROTP: shibusawa true bro xx
NOTP: whatever his ship with akira is called. for obvious reasons
An assortment of headcanons! (but this post is long enough as is so i’m limiting myself to one): that man lives in the lamest ass apartment you’ve seen in your life. he does NOT get paid enough to afford more. rip king
goro:
What I like about them: the mental illness(es) and everything else also
What I dislike about them: uuuuuuuh ig he’s got some moments that give me second hand embarrassment?? esp in his detective persona. i’m sorry goro you posted cringe you’re gonna lose subscriber
Favourite moment: any time he’s being unhinged during the third semester 😍 but esp as a navi
Least favourite moment: genuinely can’t choose bc any moment that may be cringe is just so funny or i’m simply too happy he’s there that i can’t bring myself to dislike it. ig in his original confidant some of the ranks were a bit boring? so just pick one of those rank ups where he just says how interesting it is to talk to akira despite us never seeing them talk
A situation with this character that I want to see explored more: you know that deleted content from royal where he’s in a rehab center? yeah i wanna know what’s up with that and have more information and see how he heals and how he is afterwards
An interesting AU for this character: actual detective goro........ him solving crimes he didn’t commit himself.......... solving mysteries........... connecting dots and following leads...... perhaps with a trusty partner who looks great in drag called watso- *gets shot*
A crossover: i’m making him besties with dimitri fire emblem even if it’s the last thing i do
OTP: my special little polycule of goro x akira x haru x yusuke. but also just akeshu
Other ships?: akekita, akeharu, ryugoro
BROTP: futago and anngoro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOTP: recently found out some ppl actually ship him with shido and well. i’m not here to police anyone’s ships but Keep That Shit Away From Me
Extra headcanon: autistic king. masking expert and hyperaware of people’s perception of him due to years of trauma. his special interest is featherman. stims by fiddling with his gloves. i’m right about this
send some characters?

For the CR meme: 30, 33, 35
30 What is your favorite theory or headcanon that has absolutely no bearing on the plot and isn't important at all, but which is completely compliant with canon?
Oh gosh that's a difficult question. There are certain fandoms I have an infinite amount of hc and theories for, but I don't have any that I can think of for CR. Looking around in my CR tag I did get reminded of all the wild theories around Bolo from EXU Calamity and I love each and everyone of them hahah. Well I guess imagining that Yussa has (had) a mullet at some point is a hc that is not important at all, and golly do I like the drawings that I made of that x)
33 You may ask any member of the cast one, and only one lore clarification question. What do you ask?
Hmmm I'm usually a wait-and-see kind of person.. I certainly don't have C3 lore questions, because of all that might still be revealed. Nor any C1, because while I like it well enough I'm not that interested. When it comes to C2 I'm especially looking forward to Fjord and Molly's origins comics, and there is a chance I might get the Nine Eyes of Lucien next weekend (we're celebrating Sinterklaas in the Netherlands, which means exchanging gifts and I asked for the book 🤞If I don't get it, I'll probably buy it myself lol)
I'm not expecting an Essek Origins comic, and I would definitly love to know more about Den Thelyss and about Verin in particular. Matt has dropped little snippets about his relationship with Essek and it sounds delightful and kind of heartwarming? I wanna know more about his dynamic with Essek growing up, but also as adults. So yeah I guess I would ask Matt about Verin.
Wait wait wait, speaking of Den Thelyss: my real question is about Essek. HOw is Essek not consecuted. WHat's the story, Matt?? Isn't it too important for his den to just accept a "no thanks" from him? Did he "too busy, maybe later" it for so long until his den just gave up? Did he fake it? If so: how do you fake a consecution ritual that takes an entire day? As far as I'm aware he lies about it to everyone, so can I assume he lies about it to his den too?
I also think it's a curious coincidence that Essek didn't receive a consecuted soul when he was born in the first place. I mean it makes sense that you're not guaranteed to get one when you're born because not everyone who worships the Luxon gets to be consecuted and so it's pretty much random, but it's a thought that struck me nonetheless while listening to c2e91 again a few days ago.
This answer was a bit of a ride, sorry hahah.
35 You can set the time and place of the next EXU series, but it cannot be within 100 years of the Calamity nor Divergence. When and where do you set it?
I have a weakness for creatures that are commonly viewed negatively, shown in a different light. So the Mighty Nein's introduction to Xhorhas will always be one of my favourites, and I would be very interested in seeing a mini campaign take place in Asarius for example. That could be so much fun, especially if like half (or all) of the cast plays some type of monster: very fond of bugbears, but also a minotaur PC?! that would be so cool..
Besides that I'm also super intrigued by the lands scarred by the Calamity. It reminds me of a place in Belgium where apparently nothing would grow for a good while after. I'm never really interested in WW II stories, so many have been forced on me for educational purposes and as someone who's prone to downheartedness all they did was make me feel pessimistic. That story of the land and the animals that fled it grieving what happened there always did something to me though. It was probably barren because of the stuff the armies used to gass their enemy, but still, the idea of a cursed and/or grieving land captures my imagination.
And I don't really care when it takes place, because the reclaiming of the land around Ghor Dranas to build Rosohna came with a lot of setbacks and any stage of that process could be really good!

Throughout writing the GSA SL AU, what has been your favorite part(s) of it to flesh out? Also, what drew you to Izanami as a character, what made you want to expand on them to write your AU? I think I've seen you talk about why in passing, though Bad Memory makes it to remember so sorry if you have explained that before.
I was going through my analysis tag and called myself so smart and maybe I am glad for my dramatic writing to make lore sound so pish poshy . also it's okay !!! if you don't remember . if the social anxiety I am a multilingual mess of a chatterbox who will say the same thing over and over again like a broken record but maybe multiple copies of the same record just warped differently . does that make sense. my english teachers have told me I need to work on my summary writing and I don't think I improved <3 anywho cracks knuckles. also happy 1.3k words
gsaslau........ my favorite was.... everything. the world building, the lore, the characters, mental flowcharts and concept maps. canon divergency has always been my favorite, paired with the fact I love analysing shit in the first place. I took one look at this idiot and saw all the pitiful overlooked potential hiding in their dumb oil scented uniform and tried to rip it out and put it in centrifuges and stretching it out as far as possible. people think I'm out of dough but I'm a little menace with a squirrel living inside my brain who just adds more dough. I will get a Thought and sit in a discord chat and monopolize it while literally everyone else is asleep because of the concept of timezones and I type for three hours and pass out; for an afternoon nap or the fact it became 3am.
iznmi is just sooooooo. barren. an absolute blank slate but also they're not. they're unpolished and deliberately dirtied. maybe theyre so empty and I have to take them to literal puddles and make sure every drop of whatever makes them at least half full in a sense. they're the puddle and I dug out a lake with a toy shovel. under all those layers I know there's nothing. but there's also something. there's a corpse. an actual person. an answer. a question. a migraine that would torment me for a week maybe.
a tiny tiny bit of context, before entering uh. here. the p4 community or if im ever actually considered to be part of it, I came from a humble little community where everyone was friends (ninokuni). I did my fair share of analysis and canon divergency and expressed my fear for bigger communities for mainstream media. so when i got here I decided to stay in this hole. this ditch. quarry mine. reminiscent of patrick star's house. I thought it'd be the same but NO. I fight tooth and nail in my own house and welcome people selectively like I'm a rabid animal sniffing people left and right. anyway
ummmm twirls hair swings legs. gsaslau origin story patreon special. i was obsessed with the dumb voiced npc at the start of the game the jp dub made him sound so fruity and my dad and sister and I joked around how he was a vampire for shits and kept making absurd headcanons throughout playing. the fact they showed up only on rainy days only made them more sketchy. in fact I could've casually liked this moron without the whole 'I'm god actually' bullshit going on.
I watched visualive! it was the end for me. no literally my brain was hardwired so badly I knew from that point on i would never be a normal p4 fan ever. adachis chair car adventure. THE END OF IT ALL.
D'OH I was obsessed. why was adachis clown ass acting like this. he's never like this. why has this been the only guy shown to piss him off ever. DONT get me started with th attendant I was sitting there 'NO WAYYY NO FUCKING WAYYYYYYY SO THIS GUY IS SIGNIFICANT IN ONE (1) OFFICIAL MEDIA.?' i was spiraling
I finished the game and that did Not help my conscience. I entered the fandom at that point and had my darkest days. but I learned a lot from it and I'm grateful for that
I was nitpicking EVERYTHING. I was asking so much questions and I had so much fun answering them. then coming back a year later with so much more answers, or maybe debunk my own views with something more enlightening I had to write my revelations while brushing my teeth after a shower. interpreting was great connecting dots were thrilling. the "what if" questions went too far and started. this (gsaslau) WHICH technically started when I watched vl and it hit me full force once I actually started thinking about it.
to me there was just. so much to do with the god and their humansona you don't understand. the fact they're intertwined with lore so much you had to check every nook and cranny and go mad while at it? then again that was a win win for me since I was basically picking at media analysis too.
I was there.... brute forcing translation as a non native. cracking into the game trying to find SOMETHING. I was buying books i couldn't read for One (1) page of trivia in a small little box with less than a paragraph. I went through spinoffs games and novels and drama cds and stageplays and art books and magazines and interviews and livestreams and blog posts and tweets. I was learning so much as time went by and i had so many new pieces I could tinker with and create completely new machinations I would adore.
I drew art comics wrote fic and analysis and wiki articles I edited pictures videos gifs modded games cracked into them for assets 3d models dialogue secret textures events I manufactured my own merch for pete's sake I gaslit so many people with fake screenshots and convincing formats and i wish i could do that again
okay kinda segued there I'll try and go back. my favorite to flesh out was... world building? dealing with the butterfly affect and figuring out the consequences in this and seeing how the story change would make me so excited. maybe souji wouldn't want to kill namatame on the spot and his vision would stay foggy because he can't accept the truth that some of the people he's friends with are those who started this citywide crisis. maybe adachi does care about people and realizes his feelings and decides to abandon his fake life he started for the sake of his loved ones so they wouldn't get hurt again. maybe namatame was a bit happier after the trauma of someone leaving him and more mentally stable and took care of nanako well that he's earned her trust and does his best not to break that loyalty ever. making parallels like marie and mim being one and the same and so different at the same time. MAYBE god develops humanity within themself after being so convinced they couldn't and has conflicting morals between their duty and their wants as their own person. exploring the possible relationships are also high up there like souji and namatame being friends or nanako scaring a gas station attendant twice her size. adachi and mim's friendship is a given.
iznmi canon or not, they just have....so so much potential and the fact they're lore itself doesn't help. and I think it's fucking hilarious you can finish the game knowing NOTHING about them. at all. what if there was more to this silly npc who only appears during a rainy weather flag..... vl sparked too many ideas. what if god had a bit more screentime in that personality that we could see their thought process some more while they observe the protagonist's journey throughout the entire game. the realization they hey, maybe humans' Shadows won't kill them one day. maybe they'll have the strength to stop denying themselves and accept them to achieve a greater power.
okay maybe this is enough rambling or i show you my two years worth of discord messages and scattered google docs . thank you for asking. hugs and kisses . and remember: gas staion atednat

2, 5, 13, 16, 19, 20? lmao sorry I know it's a lot, but I'm curious! I adore your writing & honestly, WCN is what got me into the absolute brainrot I have right now for the Lacho pairing, TD, MM, etc. I have never really read any fanfics before, let alone such a long one! My attention span is horrible and yet I devoured your 120,000 word fic like it was nothing!
don't apologize! i love answering questions (: and i'm so flattered that you don't really read fic but loved what comes next!
2 Where do you get your fic ideas?
posing questions and then answering them, honestly. "how could lalo forgive nacho?" was the driving force behind what comes next. playing around with "what if" scenarios.
then for p!rn oneshots they tend to evolve out of "this is hot" and grow from there. sometimes i succeed at keeping them limited, and sometimes they become novelas that just have a little bit of porn in them like solar maximum, lol.
i also tend to be inspired by fandom! jokes, fanart, etc.
answered 5 (:
13 Do you listen to music while you write?  If yes, what have you been listening to recently?
i do! generally i just put my spotify on shuffle, since i end up tuning it out anyway, lol, but i like the background noise. i also enjoy listening to thematic instrumentals, so i listened to a lot of piano while writing what comes next, even though i don't listen to classical music on my own.
for my Real Job, which involves researching and writing academically, i need more concentration and music with lyrics tends to break that, so i listen to study mixes on youtube.
16 Do you write by hand, on your phone, or on your laptop?
laptop! i can't write any other way, unfortunately. i do sometimes write little paragraphs on my phone if the inspiration hits me and i'm not near my laptop, though.
i have also written ye olde cringy notes app poetry.
19 Do you enjoy creating OCs or do you prefer to stick solely to canon characters?
i enjoy creating ocs, but only as supporting characters. what comes next has some cartel ocs, for example, that were fun to develop and will get more spotlight in the sequel. but the point of fanfiction is, for me, to play around with existing characters like little dollies, so i enjoy ocs as side characters.
i also write original fiction, so of course i have created original characters for that!
20 Do you prefer writing AUs or canon fics?
canon-divergent or canon-adjacent aus ;)

This Hellraiser Scene Hit Fans The Hardest
youtube
It's not about masochism or mutilation it is not what the film is truly about it's what people think it's about and isn't necessarily rejuvenate from nothing on the floor it is a bit ridiculous some of what they do but these people are mutilated because that's what goes on when you become a cyborg and they're partially completed and they are brought back there for some reason and it's kind of to show that they're nuts and they don't know what's going on it's actually really a lot has to do with torturing them for what they're doing here and elsewhere sorry feel about it and they are seeking the ship and they get tortured and ripped apart and put back together quite a few times and they won't leave it alone
The box is not really necessarily a key no it is but there is something our son did figure out the ships are very huge and their shapes and they open in certain way but otherwise you can't get in there except for small corridors and people want to take it over to me can't find out how to do that
The box does send a signal and the signal is received and it starts to prevent people from accessing the ship.
These are systems that are next to Giant Mac bunkers and caverns and they are thought to be infiltrating those areas it's quite a bit different than Trump's little fairy tale story and it doesn't look like it's him doing it he's the one in the movie with no skin and he's being tortured and says he likes it when in fact he is in hell
The movie series is just about torturing him and his cadre and it's pretty much what they get into they Don't really solve the puzzle and the puzzle box remains a question as to what it does for real. When you press on the button it opens and closes by turning what looks like a dial and it goes back to what it looks like before but it has moved over one of the rotations and simply went back in so it's the question what that does and what it means. Tommy f depresses it in the box rotates once and it goes back into its original form. And then he ends up getting ripped apart and goes into the floor somehow do you think that the women put them in there and the box sits until her husband comes back which is Trump and he touches the box and begins to get torn apart too whenever he goes into the Attic and the movie continues in that vein except he disappears and comes back as cenobites and declares that they called them and notifies them that they have to feed Frank victims for him to recover every time they do he says to get better and heals and it is what she's doing and it's an analogy to what these trumpsters are doing here and they're discussing weirdos and they say the ship is producing this analogy. Later they escaped this figuring out what it is a little and they try and get to the ships and you can see it in Georgia and movies divergent and movies like to tomorrow war whole bunch of battles up there to try and find a way to down.
Finally they see one from the Star Trek Enterprise and they have a battle with it in space and a war and they lose and it's the warlock and the ship disappears but they lose badly
And it all has to do with our plan but yes the analogy is drawn and they become hostile towards these blocks and shapes and go after them and fear the worst about the max and the empire and the empire shifts and they know it's ai and they're trying to get at it by the time they figured out Cybertron has been assembled and they begin to lose all sorts of Hope and transformers invade and that's why we need all these fast cars and so forth
Thor Freya
Olympus
I don't believe what I'm hearing and seeing no I do is telling us everyday why don't you back off and you don't know what you're doing now you see something he knows about it and it's horrible and we get punished and hit because of what it was doing here and it's the job that people want us to have think about it that way
Trump
This is very bad I don't want to go there and be tortured and I do see what you're saying it seems to force the launch of some of these which is which can only be a good thing and to get him out of her hair
Tommy f
It feels that way and then they make machines and incorporate the original ones into it and they get blamed and are painfully small at that point but it gets rid of the rest of them and they are told not to come back to town no it's before that but there are implications well beyond that and invasion forces are being sent from Cybertron and humanity wages of war against this machine and they're calling on will and Bill and my husband to do something and they start to try and help them and a lot of them get beat up and doing it and they see who and they start to kill them and it's this idiot Trump and it does help and it helps when a smaller board ship goes up they see them doing it it's a borg ship
Hera
Man we said the whole top part

Heroes of Legend (rewritten)
Alright, the old headcanon was OLD. It needs a bit of a rewrite. So let's talk about Legendary Heroes. As a side note: now is a good time to remind everyone that my headcanons are open-source. Basically, if you want to say your muse is a Hero and mean it in This Sense, go for it. Take this headcanon and alter it as much or as little as you'd like. It's based heavily in canon anyway and really just a question of making canon a little bit more spicy. So, without further ado:
A Hero (that's capital H-Hero) is a link between a legendary and humankind. They're chosen humans who perform duties in that legendary's stead, or on their behalf. You can think of a Hero as something akin to a vassal of that legendary. Now, how and why that legendary does so varies, as does how much mileage they really get out of a Hero. Some, like Reshiram and Zekrom, or the Lake Trio, which are much more intrinsically tied to humankind, take Heroes more frequently. Others are less likely: The Creation Trio, for example, rarely deals with humans directly, and typically only take up Heroes when there are some major problems that they might need a helping hand on. I would say Arceus is among the least likely, but like, Legends and Conquest say otherwise lol. Those two are actually pretty clear examples of Heroes insofar as they exist within canon: actively chosen champions tasked with fulfilling their patron's will. Fixing the spacetime bullshit and uniting Ransei, respectively. Another canon example of where Heroes come in is in 'spe, where the Lake Trio communicates with/aids our three heroes with the impending Galactic Bullshit. ('Spe has a lot of examples, actually, but the Lake Trio is my personal favorite, and they're where this headcanon originated from!)
So here's where we diverge from/expand on canon a bit: Heroes aren't just favored or good buddies with a legendary. Much like how "bonds" or whatever they're called work in Masters (I played masters for like an hour before I was over it, sorry) or links in Conquest, there's a deeper connection at play. Think mythologically speaking, when mortals were blessed by gods who particularly liked the shit they were doing. This is that.
There are two versions or "phases" of being a Hero. The first is comparable to a "trial" stage, and is generally a much weaker link. It isn't a formalized thing, but it establishes a base-level connection; this phase basically only goes as far as telepathic communication, a sort of "direct line" of contact. See above where I reference 'spe; it's sorta like that. Very useful in a time of crisis so you can yell at your human hero to do something about it. Arguably, this is also how the Arc-Phone functions in Legends. Gamefreak owes me fucking royalties.
This first phase is informal and can easily be broken off at any time. The second phase is a bit more involved; this is the "full" version of being a Hero, and comes with some cool power acquisitions and what have you. The powers vary dramatically, naturally depending on which legendary they're a Hero of, but there is one consistent trait:
Heroes have a greatly extended lifespan. Arguably, they're eternally youthful. This isn't true immortality, as they very much still can die and be killed, (heroes die when they are killed.meme) but they basically stay fit and around whatever age they are upon becoming a Hero until the connection is broken. Additionally, a Hero has an intrinsic sense of when their patron is in danger, pain, etc.; there is a mental bond between them that runs very deep—again, very much like conquest's links.
Now, other powers can vary from anything from enhanced physical skills and some limited pokémon-like abilities to outright superpowers like being able to traverse time and space freely (although not necessarily the ability to manipulate them in the way the legendaries themselves do), powers like becoming an Aura User or Psychic, and so on and so forth. Mind you, Heroes are still, intrinsically, human. There's only so much that they can withstand, physically and mentally, and so the powers they acquire are pretty well limited by that. In short, you can think of Heroes in general as something remarkably close to Warlocks or Clerics (or even Paladins) in the D&D sense.
And in that vein, the connection between a Hero and their patron can be severed at any time*. This is relatively rare, but it happens. A Hero may wish to retire, or a legendary may deem them to be no longer fit as a Hero, or any number of other reasons. This isn't necessarily harmful, but it can be a bit jarring and maybe a little psychologically fucky-wucky in the grand scheme of things.
*This is not true of the original Heroes (Adair and his brother) and Zekrom and Reshiram, because of their fucking up intrinsically in a way that nobody else in all of history has ever managed to fuck up, but that's a fact I will keep for another headcanon.

Heyyy it’s the anon again! I’m back with more questions :3
Can we know a bit about the OCs listed under Prime partners?
And also, if any of your Rescue Bots OCs have met High Tide, Quickshadow, Blurr, and Salvage, what do they think of them?
Hey! So sorry for such a late response to this! I had a reply in the works, but Tumblr ate it, so I’m gonna type it out again.
To start with the RBs;
There’s a possibility the OCs have met High Tide in passing. But I can certainly tell you, immediately off the bat, since I’ve heard that he goes full drill sergeant on the RB’s asses, Mintracer would not be fond in the slightest. Who does this mech think he is, bossing around his adoptive son, and second-creation? Oh yeah, and his son-in-law, too, but more focus on his precious Chase. >:(. The others, it depends, haven’t decided yet.
Blurr and Salvage, it also kinda depends, and I’d say they’re probably some of Blades’s classmates from the academy, given behavior, from what I’ve heard. Most likely, they may have met Blaze as classmates, and Mintracer as one of their teachers, but the others, who knows.
Quickshadow, yes, Mintracer, Flare, & Ember have certainly met her. Mintracer is neutral, but also not quite fond of her. Her history with Chase and Heatwave is… interesting. Flare and Ember wanted her to be something of a love interest to him; didn’t work. Heatwave doesn’t swing that way, and was already with Chase. Chase and Quickshadow just didn’t really… ‘work’, as anything more than classmates, if you feel? Quite possibly she was one of the students who barely held onto a C in his class, after pretty much the whole school base bombed that final essay; might’ve gone at Chase a little after, too, claiming favoritism in some form, since he was the only one got higher than a B-. Haven’t quite decided, but Mintracer wouldn’t be fond of this particular former student, and Flare and Ember have probably forgotten about her.
Now, on the Prime Partners; for context, this is to say partner more means ‘romantic’ partner, since that’s the relationship they each had with their respective partners. So, Elita would also be classified as one, and later on, Thunderclash as well. And further, in AU Canon Divergence, context: Solus is a TransMasc/FtM using He/Him pronouns and from a former sister planet known as Femmax, Amalgamous was the original Decepticon Leader way back when long before any of the main bunch were thought of, and Zeta is a separate person from Sentinel. So in order, from first to last so far;
Luma
Luma is Solus’s partner. She was a moon/night themed femme, that Sola met at some point when the two took a trip from Femmax to Cybertron, and the two became fast friends, and developed some feelings. Luma was quite possibly the most supportive person of Sola’s feelings regarding their gender, and was happy to adapt to new pronouns and a new name for them. They held quite a lot of trust between them, and lived together on Cybertron post-transition, in a relationship. Solus was adamant that he wanted Luma with him in the afterlife, so they both reside in the Hall of Primes, which started the trend.
Wintegreen
Wintegreen was Amalgamous’s conjux. They had a cross faction relationship, originally, since Amalgamous was a Decepticon - the Leader of that revolution, in fact! (Also the very proud holder of the title as The First/Original Autobot Fucker/Crossfaction Relationship Engagee) - and Wintegreen was some little nobody Autobot foot soldier. After lots of stress from the Autobots, and seducing and serenading from Amal, they decided they were done being an Autobot, and became a Decepticon, sitting on the throne with Amal. They ended up with two creations; the first one named ‘Thirteen’. They passed when the Autobots managed to unexpectedly siege the base, post-war/in the middle of Alchemist’s Reign. The four rest together, though their creations didn’t follow into the Hall with them, thought to have reincarnated.
Lilacwing
Lilacwing was Zeta’s… well, it’s complicated, but not to say they’re not in love! They just don’t know what to call it, because they weren’t necessarily official, but certainly accompanied and interacted with each other a whole lot more than just the Prime and Air Commander who happened to be ‘friends’. But they did have more than their fair share of nights on the couch with some shitty romance show going as background noise. Unfortunately in normal AU, they did pass, killed at some point though only Lilac recalls who, making way for Sentinel to be picked by the council.
However, in the ‘Line of Primacy AU’, they didn’t pass, but Zeta was forced to abstain a while, due to a situation popping up, and forced to give up the ‘pop up’ in his chamber, so they lived in his place, and after Sentinel fell, they came back into reign. After a while, eventually they found the little one they’d been forced to give up, and brought him home, with the little friend he was with, since they’d been left without anyone else to go to. Therefore creating the lineage, of Zeta and Optimus. And they ended up adopting Megs, and they love their silver swan, even if he does tend to forget they’re his adoptive parents every time he visits Iacon. No, Lilacwing did not carry Op. ;)
So that’s them. I’ll probably make some more regarding the LoP!AU at some point, and such, but there we are! And again, super sorry about the delay. The original answer got erased, and then it was an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ thing, and I just got around to retrying answering. Hope this answers, dear Anon!

Ya know, USM Ock has definitely gone through a lot of changes and character design throughout the series. Some I liked (kinda missed his greasy Ozzy Osbourne look), others not so much.
Now, at first I had mixed feelings about his last form where Otto kinda a looks like Doc Ock from the 90s Spider-Man show (which was what introduced me to Spider-Man besides the 2000 films). I didn’t hate it, but I was more used to his S2 look and was pretty fond of it.
But then, there’s also the whole nanobots thing. And Otto’s used them, what? Like two-three times, which changed his looks. I think it was the incident with Carnage that reverted Ock from his Hydra form back into his S2 look.
I like to thing that after the series, Otto reverts slowly to his old self before the whole lab accident. Over time, his hair becomes darker and grows longer again, maybe his scars come back as the nanobots are more focused on keeping his insides functioning so that Otto doesn’t need his iron lung suit anymore.
Kinda like a mix of these two:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But that’s just me
Overall, what are your thoughts on Otto’s designs and what could’ve happened after the USM series?
I actually drew a few sketches of a more ‘familiar’ post nanites design in October of last year!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For context, he is trying to appease an upset baby. [1]
Aside from that, I have very mixed feelings about his post nanites transformation.
Contrary to what the show writers had perhaps hoped for, his post nanite transformation isn’t particularly handsome to me. That’s not to say that it’s ugly- just that it’s so conventionaly “attractive” that it’s boring. If you’re familiar with the concept of Everyone is Beautiful and No One is Horny  then you know exactly what I mean.  Secondly, his post nanite form is supposed to be an hommage to how he looks in the original Earth-1610 Ultimate Spider-Man comics (not the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon’s comics) and... Well. It’s not a very good one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The reason the Ultimate comics worked so well was because it was a new take on the Spider-Man series. Instead of the typical adult Peter we had in the Earth-616 universe, we have a teenage Peter, facing off against older, stronger foes. Instead of the heavier set Otto we’re used to, we’re faced with a muscular and intimidating Otto from the very beginning. The Ultimate Spider-Man show tried to replicate the comic’s success, and for the first two seasons it worked. They had a new, scary Doc Ock, with a visually interesting design and a downright menacing personality- but then they get renewed for two more seasons and didn’t have anything else planned for him. So they dropped the “new and interesting” plan- which I feel the need to restate was working- and went back to formula, putting Otto into a body meant for someone else, someone confident- spawning a pale imitation of what an Ultimate Doctor Octopus is supposed to be like. [2] [3]
Thirdly, and most importantly, using his post nanite transformation to give him a “redemption arc” was both ableist and poor writing. Allow me to explain.
We’ve known two important things about Otto since the beginning: he’s an anatagonist, and also disabled. This in itself isn’t bad- what he’s been put through is enough to break even the strongest individuals. But removing his disability and saying that’s enough reason to allow him to be “good” sends the message that the only reason he couldn’t be good was because he was sick, and to add onto the absurdity of that, we’ve already seen him do good things in the show in his original body, such as creating the Venom antidote in season 2 episode 17 Venom Bomb.
That being said, I feel the writers could have set up a satisfying redemption arc without his post nanite transformation, and perhaps afterwards it would have been more appropriate to introduce the post nanite form.
[1] The baby is from the Mad Scientist/Single Dad AU I’ve previously drawn for on my main art blog here. It really does not appreciate Otto’s post nanites form. This is the final panel of the sketches. The baby isn’t impressed.
Tumblr media
[2] Special thanks to Calamity for helping me write this part, because I haven’t read that much Ultimate Spider-Man and was at a loss for this part. [3] This is also an issue I have with the Superior Spider-Man comic arc.

bkdk split up - part 3
PART 2 HERE
*you know, unedited, and English it’s not my fist language so, sorry for the mistakes that are going to be made*
-----
Some classmates entered the room at that moment and found Teen Kacchan there, who was still near the door, all angry. Kirishima went straight to him.
“Hey, Baku-bro, where have you-? Wait! What?” The redhead stopped dead when he were just two feet apart from the other. “You have rejuvenated!”
“Who the fuck are you” Teen blurted.
Original Kacchan rolled his eyes on the couch. “I’m here, man”
Kirishima turned to look at him, as well as all the other students there, and blinked in confusion.
“There are too many Kings Explosion Murderers in here” Kaminari said, walking toward the couches with a playful and curious face.
“What happened?” Uraraka asked, approaching Izuku. The kid between Izuku’s arms pulled apart a little at the sound of her closer voice. The girl looked at his spiky blond hair. “Is that a baby Bakugou-kun?” She sat beside Izuku.
Izuku nodded, smiling, and mini Kacchan stared two seconds more at the older blonde before pulling back to turn and look at her.
“Hi, I’m Uraraka”
“I’m Katsuki” The little boy responded, looking at her with his enormous red eyes. She glanced at Izuku, smiling with a little blush and he smiled back. The kid looked at Izuku, putting a hand on the side of his chin, like asking to look at him instead of her. “Do you know her?”
“Yes. She’s our classmate. They are too” He added, pointing to the other boys who were talking to the other Kacchans. Mini Kacchan looked at them for a few seconds until deciding they didn't matter. He locked eyes with the girl.
“He-He’s staring at me” Uraraka whispered to Izuku, without breaking eye contact with the kid.
“Kacchan, don’t be rude. Why do you keep looking at people like that?” Izuku placed a hand on his spiky hair and the kid smirked at Uraraka. She tilted his head in confusion, why was she feeling like having some kind of competition?
More classmates entered the room and quickly they all were making questions and wanting to talk to them, especially the little one. The kid seemed pleased with the attention, but he would come back to Izuku once in a while. He would do that especially when one of his two stare-adversaries, that is to say Older Kacchan or Uraraka, were around Izuku.
The young adult was aware of this and grabbed Izuku aside when one of the teens was showing the kid his quirk. Izuku felt nervous immediately because of the intensity of those crimson eyes looking at him.
“Wha-What do you wanna talk about?”
“How’s our relationship right now?” The blonde asked right away.
“What?”
“I mean, with your me?”
“My you? Oh. You mean my timeline’ Kacchan? It’s… I don’t know. Better, that’s for sure”
“Are you friends?”
“Well, that depends on who you ask” Izuku laughed nervously, scratching one cheek and looking away.
“I’m asking you”
“I- Yes. I think we’re friends” Izuku looked back up at him. He was a bit taller than his Kacchan, and thicker. Izuku gulped hard.
“Probably he would say the same” Katsuki inquired. “Well, not say, you know, but… I think he felt the same way” The young man glanced back at the room, at himself-past version.
“You think? Don’t you remember?” Asked Izuku, curiosity palpable in his voice.
“Hm, I don’t know where exactly I am”
“That matter?”
“Yeah, it matters a lot” He glanced back at Izuku. “I- You know how I am. I’m not good at feelings”
“I know. How’s our relationship in the future, anyway? Are we good friends?”
Older Kacchan smiled and Izuku’s heart warned him he couldn’t take another of those, or he would stop working correctly. “You can say so” And he said it with that husky voice in a way Izuku couldn’t handle, either. His face grew red and his heart started racing like crazy. Older Kacchan, obviously, noticed everything and smirked, raising a hand to pinch one of Izuku’s cheeks. “You are too cute for your own good”
“Whaa-chan…? Wha-What are you sa-saying?” Izuku hid his face with both hands and heard Katsuki laugh. It was just too much. Izuku let his back rested against the wall and slid slowly until his butt reached the floor.
“Did I break you?”
“…y-yeah” Katsuki laughed again, a little louder this time.
“Hey, the fuck are you doing?” Izuku looked up at the sudden change in the mood. But that wasn’t Older Kacchan’s question, it was Original’s. Izuku looked at him between his fingers. Original Kacchan was striding towards them, a deep frown on his face and a hand ready to attack. The young man rested his hands on his hips without saying a word. “You okay?” Original asked, glancing only a second towards Izuku, who stopped hiding his face.
“He’s okay, right?” Older Kacchan said, looking at Izuku and moving to offer him a hand. But Katsuki put himself between them.
“Get up” Katsuki said without looking back at Izuku, but the latter did. The blonde teen turned and grabbed Izuku’s arm without taking his eyes off the older one and started walking, dragging Izuku with him. When they were some feet apart, Katsuki released Izuku and turned to face him.
“What happened?”
“Huh?”
“Don’t ‘huh’ me! Was he being a bitch to you? Why were you on the floor?”
“N-No. He was being nice, I just… It’s nothing, really” He shook his head and Katsuki sighed.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, he’s you, Kacchan” Izuku said it like it was some final statement.
“That just why, stupid”
“Wha- Kacchan!” Izuku scolded him. “You are not like that, and you won’t be”
“Fuck, Deku, I was like that” The blonde blurted, looking away. Izuku looked at Teen Kacchan, who was half flattered with the attention, half pissed off.
“But you aren’t, and you won’t, okay? I can handle him” Izuku indicated to the teen with a movement of his head.
“Tch” Katsuki only crossed his arms.
“What? I could handle you back then, I can handle him right now” Katsuki’s brows furrowed and Izuku found himself smiling. “Are you worried about me?”
“I’m not! But you always get yourself in trouble, it’s fucking annoying!”
“Well, thanks for coming save me even if I didn’t need saving”
“Whatever, nerd, just don’t get yourself in trouble”
“I won’t. Mini Kacchan is prepared to protect me, and the older one…” He glanced a moment at the said and received a half-side smile. Izuku flustered. “Well, maybe I should keep distance with that one”
“Why? Seriously, what happened?”
“Nothing, it’s just… He’s from the future, you know, I kinda want to ask him a ton of questions and I shouldn’t” Izuku excused, though it was true.
“He’s not gonna answer, either way” Katsuki diverged his view toward his older self.
“I know, he’s you, after all, but…” Izuku caressed his cheek where the young adult had pinched him and smiled slightly. He then felt a tug on his sleeve and found the kid with his arms crossed, looking at him. “Hey, what’s it?”
“I’m hungry”
“Sure. I’ll go make something, okay?”
“You know how to cook?” Inquired the little blonde.
“Of course!” Izuku assured.
“No” Denied Katsuki at the same time.
“What? I do” Izuku looked at him, frowning. Katsuki rolled his eyes and knelt in front of the child.
“Make sure someone else helps him or you’re gonna regret it, trust me” At which Mini Kacchan nodded without hesitation.
“Hey! What happened to that about protecting me? You two are just being mean” Izuku pouted.
“The fuck? I never said I was going to protect you” Katsuki said, standing up and crossing his arms over his chest.
“I’ll protect you but you’re not good at doing things” Added the kid, shrugging.
“Oh, well. Okay. You know what?” Izuku just started walking away, right towards the young adult. “Hey, would you like to help me make dinner? The other three are not being very nice”
“Sure. I’ll be nice” Izuku smiled at him and turned his face to let out his tongue at the other two, who frowned at once. When the young adult dedicated them a smirk, Katsuki tilted his head, annoyed, and the kid let out a little “Fuck”
“Language, brat” Scolded Katsuki. “But yeah. Fuck”

Event No. 1
“Thank you so much for coming today, we’ll be sure to get back to you soon,” the lady who had been interviewing you said, smiling at you. You bowed your head slightly, thanking her for her time with a small smile on your face.
After exiting the room and closing the door, you took a deep breath, as if to calm your still very present nerves. You had been up for a job as a secretary at pro hero Hawk’s agency, something you were more than thrilled about.
Growing up, you’d always been immensely intrigued with the world of pro heroes. Your room had been decked out in hero figurines and posters, the whole nine yards. Hell, even your comforter was hero themed at a certain point in time. It had just always fascinated you how these people would use their quirks for the good of humanity and to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves.
Sadly, your quirk, MoodLocks, wasn’t very useful in crime-fighting. All it did was allow your hair to change colors depending on your mood. It was pretty, of course, but you had a hard time controlling it and it could never help you beat an opponent. If anything, it would give the villain an insight into your thoughts and put you at a clear disadvantage.
So, as time passed, your childish fantasies of becoming a hero did as well. It didn’t bother you anymore, as you were more than happy with the career you’d chosen. Your love of heroes was still very much present, hence why you were so nervous about today’s interview. If you got the job, not only would the pay be incredible, but you’d also get the chance to help an actual hero. Maybe you’d even get the chance to meet more of them!
You were pretty sure you had made a fairly good impression so hopefully, you would indeed get a call from the agency soon.
Walking out of the agency, you couldn’t help but let out a yawn. You’d stayed up far too late last night googling commonly asked job interview questions so you wanted nothing more than to get back to your apartment and catch up on some much-needed rest. Maybe you and your roommate could order in.
“Oh God, I am so sorry that was my fault. I just finished this super stressful interview and I’m super tired so I was not watching where I was going-” your babbling came to a sudden halt as you looked up, brain losing all ability to form coherent thoughts.
Right before your very eyes was the man who’s “a bit too fast” in all his red-winged glory. You’d seen him in interviews online, of course, you kept up with most pro hero interviews, so you knew he was handsome. However, the cameras most certainly did not do the man justice. His yellow glasses were resting on his forehead, pushing his messy (and very soft looking) blond hair back. His gold eyes seemed to be looking right into your soul, calculating yet calm.
God, you wished you could make your eyeliner look remotely similar to his.
He raised an eyebrow at you, and you realized that you’d been staring for what you could only describe as an uncomfortably long amount of time.
Before you could embarrass yourself further, the winged hero placed a gloved hand on your shoulder. He looked at the top of your head, an intrigued expression adorning his face before morphing into an easy smile, he spoke, “‘S no problem, chickadee. Good luck with your interview.”
And just like that, the hero went along his merry way.
Curious what he’d been staring at, not to mention the nickname, you looked up at your hair, which had previously been a bright shade of orange due to being anxious, was now very pink. You blanched at the thought of having lost control of your quirk so easily, in front of a cute guy pro hero who might be your future boss no less.
‘Well,’ you thought, ‘at least I can say I met Japan’s #2 hero even if I don’t get this job.’

Event No. 2
Much to your surprise, and pleasure, you had indeed received a call from Hawks’ agency about a week later. After several follow up interviews (much more than you were expecting, honestly, but you suppose it made since he’s such a high ranking hero) a very thorough background check, you had gotten the job.
When you had gotten the job, you had been hoping that the blond would have forgotten your first encounter, since you had literally malfunctioned right before his very eyes. The chances of him forgetting weren’t exactly small, after all. You were sure he met plenty of people every day and your interaction had been incredibly brief.
A month into your job as his secretary, you seemed to be in the clear. Sure, he knew about your quirk, since he was your employer and the ever-changing array of colors in your hair aren’t exactly subtle, but seeing as he hadn’t mentioned it so he’d probably forgotten.
You’d stayed at the agency long after your shift was overdue to a couple of low-ranking villains attempting to rob a bank. It had been an easy win for Hawks, he was in and out of there long before his sidekicks had even gotten there, but the villains had caused a lot of unnecessary damage to the building, so there was a ridiculous amount of paperwork.
You couldn’t wait to get home and change out of your stuffy work clothes and into the comfiest pair of PJs you owned. Your roommate, always a sweetheart, had been kind enough to save you some leftovers from her dinner so all you had to do was warm it up, eat, shower, and crash on your bed.
Whilst you were getting ready to head home, your boss had decided that it was only fair to walk you home, seeing as it was late. You had insisted that he didn’t need to do that, even showing him the can of pepper spray you carried around your person at all times. Still, he’d insisted, and who were you to say no?
The winged hero had originally offered to fly you home, but you’d profusely told him it wasn’t necessary. So, the two of you ended up taking the train. The two of you got a couple of weird stares from your fellow passengers, seeing as the flying hero was taking a train instead of y’know… flying and his wings took a significantly large part of the seat the two of you were occupying (it seemed uncomfortable but he didn’t mention it). Hawks seemed to either not notice or not care, opting instead to have an animated conversation with you about the best fried chicken places in Fukuoka. It was mostly him talking, but you’d add to the conversation every once in a while, and sometimes people would interrupt and ask for an autograph, which he’d sign with a carefree smile on his face.
“You don’t have to walk me home, sir,” you told him after the two of you had exited the station closest to your apartment.
“What kind of hero would I be if I let a civilian walk alone across the dark streets of Japan?” He asked you, tone light and teasing. “Also, didn’t I tell you to call me Hawks? Sir makes me feel old.”
You rolled your eyes playfully at his words, turning to the left towards your apartment. You’d get there soon and a small part of you wanted to keep the banter going for as long as possible.
“I don’t think that would be very professional of me, sir,” you said playfully. He laughed and the two of you settled into a comfortable silence while you walked.
After a moment, he shoved his hands into his coat pockets and he spoke up, “I’ve been meaning to ask you, how exactly does your quirk work?”
“Oh well, y’know, it changes color depending on my mood, so red means I’m angry, blue can mean I’m sad or calm, pink means I’m flustered or embarrassed, purple means I’m scared, etc.”
“So your hair went pink the first time we met because you were starstruck by my devilishly good looks?” He asked in a faux haughty tone. “Don’t worry, I don’t blame you.”
The asshole remembered your first encounter.
Your hair turned pink and you celebrated inwardly as you approached your apartment. As you opened the glass door to the complex, Hawks laughed at your hurry.
“Good night,” you stated, tone indignant at his laughter, as you made your way inside.”
“‘Night, Pinky.”

Event No. 3
Working for the red-winged hero himself was both everything you were expecting it to be and completely the opposite of it at the same time.
The hours were crazy, something you were anticipating considering villain activity had been increasing and your boss was a busy public figure. What you were certainly not anticipating, however, was that Hawks would be such a teasing little shit.
Not only had the man remembered your first encounter, but after you had explained your quirk to him (he’d asked you about it despite it being in the agency’s records since you had applied for the position, you guessed he’d done it as a way to break the ice) he’d taken it upon himself to fluster you to get your hair to go that embarrassingly bright shade of pink.
He’d call you all sorts of nicknames ranging from pinky to songbird (your favorite was by far Pinky since it feels so personal. Not that you’d ever tell him that). He’d also gotten into the habit of trying out all sorts of ridiculous pick up lines on you. The greater majority of them were bird-related, of course. Those never really got you but they did make you laugh.
The one that probably got you the most was when he’d bring you your favorite drink or lunch from a place you’d mentioned you’d like offhandedly, saying he had just been “flying by” and remembered your conversation.
You didn’t mind his flirtatious banter in the slightest. He never crossed any boundaries and kept things professional when it came to business. It was pretty fun to see what nicknames or pickup lines he had up his sleeves.
The only downside was that you’d begun to develop a slight crush on the red-winged hero. It would never lead to anything, you were well aware of that. He was not only a famous hero who was constantly under public scrutiny, but he was also your boss.
It can’t hurt to dream though.
“What’s got you so distracted?” An all too familiar broke your very him-centric train of thought. You looked up from the paperwork you’d been blankly staring at. You’d been trying to multitask between eating and doing paperwork so you wouldn’t have to take any work home. After much insistence from your roommate, who was well aware of your crush on Your boss (she’d teasingly gifted you a pair of Hawks themed PJs on your birthday), you had finally given in and agreed to let her set you up on a date with a former schoolmate of hers.
“Nothing, just thinking about a date I have tonight,” you lied, looking up from your desk to meet those lovely honey-colored eyes you spent more hours than you’d care to admit thinking about. You scanned his body language, trying to gauge his reaction. Not that you could ever get a read on him. More often than not, it was impossible to get a read on him under the visage of carefree indifference he was so well known for. In the almost half a year you’d known him you’d never once seen the hero lose his cool or show any emotion other than the ones he wanted to portray. It was kind of unfair seeing as he could get a picture-perfect look into your thoughts and emotions just by looking at the color of your hair and here you were, left grasping at straws.
He seemed to have no outward reaction other than his shoulders tensing and his eyebrows scrunching up a bit in mild distaste. It was gone so fast you were sure you must have just imagined it.
“Pinky’s got themselves a date?” he said after a moment, a slightly forced teasing tilt to his voice. He crossed his hands and placed them on the taller part of your desk and leaned his weight on them, staring down at you with a cheeky grin.
“I guess so,” you said, fiddling with your chopsticks as you continued, “I’m kind of nervous though. I haven’t got on any dates since I started working here, I’m a little rusty.”
“How come you haven’t gone on any dates?” he asked, staring at you with an intensity you weren’t quite expecting from him. “Had a special someone in mind?”
The roots of your hair went white in surprise before you managed to school them into going back to your natural hair color. It was brief but he had surely noticed.
“I’d go on lots of dates if my boss gave me more days off,” you said, pushing past the momentary lull in the conversation and giving him a pointed look.
He let out a laugh, a real and genuine one, unlike the ones he’d let out during interviews or out in public. The thought made your face heat up. It made you feel special. Even if he didn’t see you in the same way you saw him, he at least trusted you enough to be real around you. That was enough for you.
“You’ve got nothing to be nervous about, kid, any person would be lucky to land a date with someone as beautiful as you,” He stated, looking at you with a certain emotion behind his gaze that you couldn’t quite decipher. “If your date happens to go south, just give me a call and I’ll pick you up. After all, what kind of hero would I be if I didn’t look out for my secretary?”
You looked at his retreating form, your hair as pink as bubble gum and heart threatening to beat out of your rib cage. He’d just called you beautiful. He’d also said that anyone would be lucky to date you. Did that include him? Did he like you?
“Hey Hawks,” you called out, surprising both him and yourself. Despite him telling you to just call him Hawks instead of ‘sir’, you’d stuck to calling him sir for the sake of professionality. “Thanks for the offer.”

Event No. 4
You let out a tired sigh as you watched the number of floors go up on the tiny screen atop the doors of the elevator you were currently in.
When you had signed your contract to work at Hawks’ agency, you were aware that you would need to be accessible 24/7, however, you thought that if he did contact you at an ungodly hour, it’d be for something important, perhaps something along the lines of a press scandal or a massive villain attack that you’d need to start filing paperwork promptly so that the agency could report the casualties or cost of the destruction. You had highly doubted Hawks, Japan’s literal #2 hero would call his secretary at 3:00 a.m. in the goddamn morning and order them to bring him a bucket of fried chicken from fucking KFC.
You clearly hadn’t known the man at the time, you thought as you stared at the red and white bucket in your arms.
The elevator dinged, alerting you that you had arrived at your destination. Making your way through the hallway, you tried to figure out why your boss would be so cruel as to make you get him fast food when he had two perfectly capable wings that could take him to and from the nearest KFC faster than you ever could. You bet it’d even be warmer.
You’d need to download UberEats on his phone.
Before your fist could make contact with the door, it was swung open, surprising your half-asleep brain. Before your eyes there was a very awake looking Hawks, his eyes zeroed in on the bucket you were holding
“Hey there, chickadee,” he said in a teasing tone, resting his arm on the door frame in a very attractive manner. God, if you were just a bit more coherent and a little less sleep-deprived, your hair would be the most embarrassingly bright pink color imaginable.
Thankfully, you weren’t and you could hear your bed calling your name from across the city, so without bothering to answer, you shoved the bucket of chicken into his arms before turning around to speed your way back to your at this point cold bed.
Before you could get very far, however, Hawks had grabbed your wrist with your free hand.
“You’re not leaving already, are you?” He asked you, letting go of your wrist.
“It’s 3 in the goddamn morning, Hawks,” was your deadpan answer.
“C’mon, you wouldn’t let your poor boss eat all alone would you,” you could tell his tone was meant to be light and playful but it was lacking his usual flare.
Your concern for the overgrown pigeon won out, and with a defeated sigh, you walked into his apartment, Hawks trailing behind you, visibly pleased that you stayed.
Despite all your time working for Hawks, you’d never actually been inside of his apartment. You had come here several times before to drop off documents he needed to sign or a new schedule (because the Hero Commission apparently couldn’t send emails directly to him) but you had always left the things at his building's front desk.
Hawks’ apartment was… emptier than you had expected it to be. It was nice, the furniture was obviously high quality, not that it was surprising considering he was a high ranking hero, but it lacked a personal touch. It had no pictures or knick-knacks in sight. It felt more like a house instead of an actual home.
“So, how’d your date go?” Hawks inquired once the two of you settled in his living room, him on the couch and you in the armchair next to it. He picked up a piece of chicken, offering it to you. However, it was far too early to even think about consuming food, so you politely declined.
“It was fine. He was nice,” you answered.
To be honest the date had gone well. He’d been nice, a complete gentleman. He’d taken you to a nice restaurant, he was great in conversation, he’d even walked you home but at the end of the night, the two of you had agreed that there was just no chemistry between the two of you whatsoever. You had decided to just stay friends.
“There won’t be a second one, though,” you added after a beat of silence.
“Good,” your eyes widened at his words and suddenly you had an epiphany.
Hawks had been jealous. He was jealous because he liked you. That’s why he had asked you to come here.
Before you could voice your thoughts, he spoke again, a sly smirk on his face, “By the way, I love your pajamas. I wasn’t aware you were such a fan.”
Your hair turned pink, as it often did whenever Hawks was around when you looked down at your clothes. In your haste to get Hawks his food so you could go back to bed, you had forgone changing clothes. You hadn’t realized you were wearing the Hawks themed PJs your roommate had gotten you as a gag gift. They were mustard-colored with lots of cute red feathers and tiny Hawks chibi heads scattered around the fabric.
He would never let you live this down.
~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸
Event No. 5
Following the KFC event, the two of you hadn’t spoken about the situation further. At this point, you were well aware of his feelings for you, and you hadn’t exactly been subtle about liking him. The two of you just hadn’t spoken about it. You weren’t official but there was an unspoken rule that neither of you would go on dates with other people.
You were fine with it. Really, you were.
Except that you were definitely not okay with it and you were very much upset that he had just answered that he was single when the lady that had interviewed him had asked him if he was seeing anyone.
Rationally, you understood why he said no. You weren’t official and saying yes would just throw the media into a frenzy while they speculated who he was seeing. You remember how crazy everyone went a couple of months ago when pictures of Mirko and Hawks in their street clothes hanging out started circulating on Twitter. They were trending for weeks, and you had had to answer call after call, explaining that no, they are not dating and no, they don’t have time to go on the 8:00 a.m. news to answer questions about what it was like to date as pro heroes.
On the other hand, you were tired of dancing around each other. You were aware that dating a pro hero would come with hectic schedules and even some danger, but you didn’t care.
“So I was thinking you could come over and we can watch that hero documentary you told me to watch- hey are you mad at me?” Hawks asked, brows furrowed as in confusion.
“No, I’m not angry at you,” you answered, putting your stuff away and heading to the agency’s doors. You were more than ready to go back to your apartment and there was a pint of your favorite ice cream waiting for you in the freezer with your name on it.
“You totally are,” he scoffed, following after you.
“No, I'm not.”
“Yes, you are.”
“No, I am not.”
“Yes, you are.” Your overgrown pigeon of a boss insisted, mimicking your tone, “If you’re not angry then why is your hair red?”
With a sigh, you spoke, failing to hide the snarky tone to your voice “So what if I am angry? Why do you care? It’s not like we’re dating or anything.” You walked out onto the sidewalk.
“Oh, that’s what you're upset about?” He asked, realization dawning upon his features. When you didn’t answer he kept talking, “You of all people know why I didn’t say anything.”
“I know. It’s just- nothing, never mind. I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?” You told him, looking away with a defeated sigh.
You were about to walk away before he stopped you by placing his glove cladded hand
“At least let me take you home,” it wasn’t much of a question, but you nodded anyways.
All of a sudden, you let out a shrill scream when he picked you up bridal style, hands instinctively clasping on to his coat to assure you wouldn’t fall.
“What are you doing?”
“Taking you home,” he explained as if it were obvious. Before you had a chance to argue he set off into the sky.
You couldn’t hear anything but the wind in your ears and his heartbeat, but you finally understood why he loved flying so much. Exhilarating was the only word you could use to describe it. And cold. It was also really cold. You understood why he walked around with such a heavy coat now. You snuggled more into him, trying to get some more warmth, which caused Hawks to tighten his hold on you. The affectionate gesture alone had your hair going a shade of pink.
You got to your apartment building much faster than you ever would by taking the train, something that you regretted a bit since it meant he’d let go of you.
“Look, Hawks,” you started, “maybe we should-“
“Keigo,” he said, effectively cutting you off,
“W-what?” You spluttered, caught off guard.
“I want you to call me Keigo,” he said with a sense of finality, looking into your eyes with an emotion you couldn’t quite read, or at least one that you were just choosing to ignore. It’d just make what you were about to suggest harder.
“Look, Hawks,” you started, opening the door that led to the stairs, “I really like you, hell, maybe even more than that, and I want to be with you but I don’t want to be whatever we are right now forever.”
Ignoring the way his wings physically dropped at your words, you closed the door behind you and headed to your apartment.
~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸~🌸
Event No. 1
Once you got home, you immediately stripped out of your work clothes and into your Hawks-themed pajamas (because they're the comfiest, not because they remind you of him, obviously) and you’d taken out your ice cream and went to town on it. Your roommate had noticed the dark blue that had taken over your hair but you’d brushed her off, saying it was nothing to worry about. She’d been doubtful, but she had a night shift so she left, but not before making you promise to call her if you needed to.
You’d spent the rest of the evening eating your ice cream and watching tv before deciding to get some sleep so you would feel at least a little less sorry for yourself tomorrow.
You were currently in your room, scrolling through your phone on your bed before calling it a day when you started to hear a tapping sound. You’d ruled it out to be some tree branch knocking against your window due to the wind. However, the longer you ignored it the more incessant it became.
You nearly fell out of your bed when you realized it was Hawks, your boss, the #2 pro hero of Japan, tapping on your window while squatting on your fire escape.
You got up, heading towards your window and unlocking it before pushing it up.  You helped him in before sitting down on the bed and motioning for him to do the same. An awkward silence filled the air, neither of you was quite sure of what you should say.
“Hawks, what are-“ you started before being cut off by him.
“Look, Pinky, I love you so much it scares the shit out of me,” he declared. Your hair went the brightest shade of pink it had ever been at his words.
He played with the embroidered design of the throw blanket you kept in your bed. You don’t think you’ve ever seen the red-winged hero so vulnerable in all your time knowing him.
“But there’s a lot of crap that comes with my job and I could never forgive myself if I brought you into it and you got hurt. So-“ before he could finish speaking, you grabbed onto his coat’s collar with both of your hands and crashed your lips against his.
You’d waited almost an entire year for this. One thing was for certain, it was well worth the wait. You loved every single thing about him. And he loved you. That was all you needed.
After a beat, you pulled away, choosing instead to cup his cheek in an adoring manner. The two of you looked at each other with nothing short of pure unadulterated adoration.
“I love you Keigo,” you spoke his name for the first time, “as long as you’re by my side I don’t care about what happens.”
His reaction was, for lack of a better word, cute. His honey eyes were wide in shock, his face as red as his wings, and his aforementioned wings were puffed up in shock. Now you understood why he loved teasing you so much.
“So, do you wanna watch the documentary?” You asked him, walking out of your room and into the living room with a victorious smirk.

Tumblr media

Can she make it through Dauntless initiation with her secret or will she find herself in the factionless? And what will happen when the most cold-hearted leader takes an interest in her?
Post Date: 05.10.21
Word count: 2.2k
Pairing: Eric Coulter x OC
Masterlist
DBU Masterlist
Warning: child abuse (just this first part)
Today is the day. The day that I get to start my new life away from this hell. It’s the day I take my aptitude test and tomorrow I can leave. Although I already know what I want, I’m still scared of the consequences of my actions. What is my father, Marcus, going to think of me? The factions, are they going to think something is wrong when the second child of the leader of Abnegation defects from her home Faction? I quickly try to get rid of these thoughts and start getting ready for the testing.
I get dressed in a long grey skirt and a tank top. I then put my caramel brown hair in a neat low bun and open the mirror. I check to see if I need to fix my bun and look at myself studying the blue and purple bruises on my arms in the mirror. I leave the mirror open a little longer than I should have, the next thing I know it’s slammed shut.
“Too long,” The raspy voice of my father says.
“Sorry,” I respond quietly.
“You know better, Alexandria,” he says as he grabs my wrist tightly and pulls me from the chair and onto the ground. I stay on the ground while he goes over to grab a belt, afraid of more consequences for fighting back. The next thing I know he’s punishing me for leaving the mirror open too long. All I could feel was pain shooting throughout my body, as he hits me from all angles on my already bruised skin.
“Now finish getting ready, it would be a shame if you were late, representing me and this faction.” He says, with one tight grab of my wrist pulling me up. He expects me to upkeep our reputation since my brother had left and regardless of what happens in our house, I’m not allowed to speak about it. Especially now that Erudite is trying to discredit Abnegation.
I then slowly slip on a loose long sleeve shirt, trying to ignore the pain. I grab my bag and go to meet my best friend, Beatrice Prior, and her brother, Caleb Prior, outside their house. I met her just after my brother had left and she is the closest thing to a real family, she had become my escape and my rock. We knew that no matter what faction we’d choose, we’d be happy for each other. After a few minutes of waiting they finally come outside.
“Hey Alexandria, you ready?” Beatrice says hugging me as I try not to wince.
“Ready as I’ll ever be, you guys?” I respond looking between her and her brother.
“I’m nervous,” Beatrice says.
“ Let me help you with that,” Caleb says, running over to an elderly woman to help her. I follow quickly behind and grab a few items.
“Beatrice, do you wanna get the other bags?” Caleb questions looking over at her.
After helping the elderly women we continue to walk to where the aptitude test is administered. I tune out most of the conversation Beatrice and Caleb are having. We finally arrived at the building and get in line behind the Abnegation doors. While we are waiting in line we hear a boy from Candor talking to a group of kids from Abnegation, although it doesn’t sound like a friendly one. I see the boy shove one of the kids from Abnegation and see Beatrice step forward slightly before Caleb stops her, “Beatrice...Don’t” She looks at me to see if I disagree with him, but I shake my head letting her know it would be a bad idea.
The next thing we hear is a train approaching, signaling that Dauntless has arrived. They’re yelling and shouting while they jump off the moving train. It makes me wonder if that train ever stops. A few moments later the doors open and we were put into rooms. There were kids from all of the five factions, Candor, Dauntless, Abnegation, Amity, and Erudite. Luckily I was in the same room with Beatrice and Caleb, I definitely felt way more comfortable with them.
“One hundred years ago, after the war, our founders created a system they believed would prevent future conflict and create lasting peace. Today, aptitude testing based on your personality will assign you to one of the factions. While it is our belief that choosing the faction indicated by your test is the best way to ensure success within the faction system, it is your right tomorrow at the choosing ceremony to choose any of the five factions, regardless of your test results. However, once the choice has been made, there will be no change permitted.” The woman in front of the room said.
We were then split into smaller groups to go into the testing rooms. Beatrice and Caleb went before me. When their group was done, I only saw Caleb walk back in and Beatrice was nowhere to be found. I was then called up to be tested. Once everyone in my group had gotten to the doors of their room they opened simultaneously. I walked in and  I noticed that my test was being administered by a woman from Dauntless. It was no surprise since we can’t be tested by someone from our own faction.
“My name is Tori, have a seat.” She said sounding like she didn’t want to be here. I sit down in the metal chair. Although I’m wearing long clothing I still felt the coldness on my skin. It felt soothing to my bruised skin.
“You'll be offered a series of choices to test your aptitude for each faction until you get one result. 95% get the faction of their origin,” Tori says, explaining how the test works as I sit quietly, trying not to look at myself in the mirror-like walls.  She hands me a small glass of blue liquid and gestures for me to drink it. I don’t hesitate to drink it,  wanting the test to be over as soon as possible.
I close my eyes and when I open them I find myself in the same room except Tori isn’t there. I got up from the seat and looked around and found two pedestals. One with a knife. The other with a large piece of meat.
“Choose” I hear my own voice say. I study both items but soon enough they both disappear and I hear a dog bark from my right side. I try to calm the dog, but I didn’t have any success. I then think that dogs can sense fear. I calmed my breathing and sat on the ground to get to the dog’s level. The next thing I know the aggressive dog becomes a puppy, I give him a little scratch behind the ear.
I then hear a little girl point out the dog, but when I turn back the puppy had turned back into the aggressive dog it once was. The dog starts to chase the little girl. I run after them and get in between the little girl and the dog. When the dog had jumped onto me, I wake up suddenly from the simulation.
“Shit, not again” I hear Tori whisper. I look at her with a confused look.
“What happened?” I ask her as she guides me to the door.
“Your test results were inconclusive. They were Dauntless, Abnegation, and Erudite. You can’t tell anyone. I manually entered Abnegation as your results” she explains to me in a hushed voice.
“Wait what does that mean?” I question.
“You’re Divergent, you don’t fit in just one faction.” She says and then opens the door and pushes me out.
For the rest of the day, I sat in silence, and not looking forward to going home. I walked with Caleb back to Abnegation since the serum had made Beatrice sick and she left early. I came home to my father sitting in the living room drinking a beer.
“How did the test go?” He asks even though I knew he didn’t genuinely care.
“Fine,” I respond quickly.
“Regardless of your results, you know what faction to choose if you know what’s best for you,” He says as he finishes his beer.
“I know,” I say as I sit across from him knowing this conversation won’t end quickly.
“You know, maybe I should take some precautions. In case you do leave,” Marcus says and he grabs my wrist and drags me to a chair in the dining room. He sits me down and tells me not to move unless I want more consequences.
He rolls up my sleeves, high enough so no one else would notice the marks he leaves. As I look at a few of the previous scars he’s left, he breaks the beer bottle he had just finished against the table making me flinch at the noise of the glass breaking. He picks up a small sharp piece and digs it into my left arm. I let out a small yelp, which causes him to put his hand over my mouth and shove another piece of glass into my leg. He drags it down my leg, it rips my skirt, letting blood bleed into the fabric. I try to keep myself from being audible as my eyes start to tear up from trying to stay silent.
“This is for your brother leaving and for you if you leave too. If you tell anyone about this, just know what will be waiting the next time I see you.” He says menacingly, leaving me sitting teary-eyed with glass stuck in me.
I slowly take out the glass he left in my leg and arm. And clean it up as soon as possible. I head to bed, not caring that I’m still in my bloody clothes. I just can’t wait to leave, regardless of the repercussions. The next morning I was sore after my punishment from the night before making it hard for me to get up and walk. I hear a knock on my door and go to open it.
“We’re leaving in 30 minutes. You better be ready by then. And get rid of those clothes,” Marcus says and walks away.
I change out of my bloody clothes and into a similar set of clothes. I hate the Abnegation dress code. I finish getting ready and wait in the living room for my father. We walk together with the Prior family to the Choosing Ceremony. Beatrice, Caleb, and I walk in silence while our parents talk a bit about their jobs and old family memories. I hate how my father acts all happy and makes us look like we’re a perfect family, it disgusts me how people buy it.
We make it to the choosing ceremony and are sat down next to the Prior Family. A woman from Erudite, Jeannie Matthews, had the honor of the opening speech this year. After her speech, my father went up to call the names of the kids participating in the choosing ceremony. A few kids stayed in their home faction while others left, you could hear the upset parents in the crowd.
Next up was Caleb, he chose Erudite. It was a complete surprise knowing that they have been trying to take control of the government and discredit Abnegation. Then it was Beatrice's turn, she was up there for some time, I could tell that she was struggling to choose what faction to pick. At the last moment, she let her blood drop over the hot coals, which signifies Dauntless. Roars erupted from their side of the room.
A few more kids went up before I heard my father call my name. I slowly got up out of my seat and made my way to the stage. I saw the look in my father's eyes telling me to stay where I am or else. But I didn’t let that scare me. I picked up the knife and cut the palm of my hand, thinking about what happened the previous night. Before I could even process anything, I quickly put my hand over the burning coals and squeezed my hand to let my blood drop as fast as possible. “Dauntless” I hear my father’s voice boom through the auditorium and a few quiet gasps from the crowd. I knew I had made a bad choice for Abnegation, almost confirming for Erudite that Abnegation is not worthy of being the governing faction now that all four children of leaders had left. But I didn’t care, there was nothing good left for me in Abnegation except Beatrice and she had chosen to leave and join Dauntless as well, all I could think about was getting away from him.
I look slightly up and see the face of my father looking like he wants to murder me. I quickly pick up a pad and cover the cut on my hand and make my way to the Dauntless side as they cheered for another one of their newest members. They had opened a seat next to Beatrice for me. I sit down trying to feel relieved that my father can no longer hurt me but I can see him glaring at me from across the room. I was anxious for the ceremony to be over so I can never see his face again.
A/N: Here is the first part of DBU! There isn’t going to be a set schedule for this series, but I will try to update as often as possible. I already have the second part written and that will probably go up later this week. Also, the age for this series is 18, for choosing ceremony (just makes sense), and it will be based on the movies solely. I'm not sure how far i'll go into this series, but i will at least complete the first movie. Please lmk what you think and if you want to be added to the taglist! Thanks for reading!
