Vampire Gaz and blood kink??
Originally written for @zwiiicnziiix for their birthday (Happy Birthday!!)
He had come from the shadows.
He’d come as you wandered the desolate manor, with your soaking wet clothes dripping puddles across the parquet floors, the wind howling through the shattered windows and driving rain inside to dampen the dilapidated furniture. You’d sought refuge from the storm outside, with thunder cracking open the sky and unleashing devastation onto your form. Frigid, soaked to the bone, you’d ventured further inside as the gale lashed at the shutters, forced you inwards away from the foyer.
There had been a whisper of something as you’d traversed the hallways, a breeze that had made you turn, cast your eyes with fright at something that wasn’t there. You told yourself it was just the wind, but as you padded through the corridors lined with ornate portraits you couldn’t stem the feeling of being watched.
Around the corner, you spotted the flickering light of something warm, an orange hazy glow that beckoned you closer. You swallowed down the urge to turn tail and flee, the instinctive need to run in favor of the desire of respite from the cold. Yet as you draw closer, push open the paneled door into the parlor, you feel the sudden, primeval response of terror claw up your chest as a hand snakes up to your throat.
“Hello, beautiful.” A husky, clipped, accented voice murmurs in your ear, and you try to scream, to flail but you can’t- There’s some unknown force that locks your muscles rigid, unable to worm your way from the arm that tugs you back into a solid, lean chest. You want to scream, but your voice feels unable to spill past your lips. You try and try but all you can manage is a wheezing, cracked little noise broken by the pure exertion of forcing air from your chest.
The person- the thing behind you tuts at that, stroking your neck lovingly. “None of that.” He tells you gently, and when he buries his nose into the junction of your neck and shoulder you shudder, horror opening low in your stomach as he drinks in your scent.
“You smell lovely.” He murmurs against your flesh, and the words alone seem to loosen your limbs, causing them to fall heavy and cumbersome against him. You try to move, but all you manage to accomplish is a half-hearted squirm as he tucks you against him.
“Poor thing.” He coos as you whimper. “Come here, doll, let’s get you warm by the fire.”
Somehow, you’re maneuvered into the parlor, towards the blazing hearth with cushions piled high before it. The monster behind you lowers you down, hushes sickly sweet reassurances into your ear even as you try and fight the heavy, languid inertia that winds through your weary form. You feel like you’re moving through water, dragging immobile limbs in a desperate attempt to get free. Yet the more you move the deeper into the fog you fall, eyes glazing over and heartbeat slowing as a mysterious force ensures you grow lax and pliant in the arms of your captor.
“There.” He tells you gently. “Isn’t that better? No need to run. You’re safe here.”
You try and protest, head lolling as your words slur on your lips. It seems to amuse him, strangely, because a hand tucks under your chin and presses it up so it falls on his shoulder.
“I’ve been sleeping for so long.” He confesses to you, words ringing clear in your thoughts despite the foggy glow of the world around you- like he’s the only thing in focus. “I thought maybe I’d sleep forever.”
“The thing is, darling.” He goes on, and when his lips part against the soft flesh of your neck you feel a sharpness prick there- pressing like the edge of a blade into your skin.
“I’m just so hungry.”
The sharpness presses harder, deeper, and a wet gasp pours from your throat at the pain that blossoms where his teeth sink into your flesh.
Fangs, you realize far too late. He has fangs.
It renews the terror inside you, lulled into complacency and now rising once more as he exhales heavy through his nose and then sucks on your shoulder, drawing blood from the wound and onto his waiting tongue. He groans, low and heady, as if drunk on the taste of you. It summons a whimper, struggling futilely against his tender embrace.
He takes a pause to press a bloodied kiss into your temple, hushes you as tears well in your eyes.
“You taste so good.” He rasps, returning to lick at the oozing wound. “Fuck, doll. So pretty and sweet and delicious.”
When he descends once more there’s something that unspools inside you, honeyed and warm. It makes your eyes roll back, muscles fully unwinding as you go entirely limp against him, his arm catching you around your waist as you slump docile and pliant against him. Warmth trickles downwards below your belly, the infectious sin of desire bleeding into your veins from the poison of aphrodisia on his lips. Yet he drinks it back eagerly, a sound dragging deep in his chest, breath fogging against your nape.
“That’s it.” He encourages, tongue running over the dribble of blood that runs as he parts way with the vein. “Just relax. I’ve got you.”
The world begins to dim around you as your heartbeat thrums on his lips, red and velvet and sweet as he drinks it down.
“Gorgeous girl.” He purrs as your eyelids begin to flutter shut, a hand stroking your face. “So beautiful and good.”
You can’t fight back, can only surrender to him as a beautiful, fragile thing in his arms- one he holds close and nuzzles affectionately into.
“I think I’ll keep you.” He declares, mostly to himself, and huffs as if he’s pleased with the idea. His tongue presses flat against the bite, upon which he delivers a chaste little kiss.
“I’ll make you mine.”

Logical
Bones x GN!Reader (Can be read as platonic or the beginnings of a romance)
This was going to be part of a 5+1 series where MC hides the fact they are Vulcan from everyone during their transfer to the Enterprise. But I just didn’t have enough inspiration for 6 scenarios so instead here’s my fav scenario
This is also my first time writing for Bones so it may be a bit OOC (I also pictures AOS Bones for this but you can imagine TOS Bones if you want I just don’t know how well it would fit)
Warnings: swearing, mentions of injuries, but I don’t describe them in depth, angst + hurt/comfort with a happy ending
Word Count: 2276
Masterlist
Tag List Form (Updated)
Logical. You needed to stay logical. Panicking and becoming emotional would not help your situation. Logical.
The word kept echoing around your mind like a mantra. Despite your best efforts, however, your heart still skipped a beat, and fear flooded your veins when you looked at your arm. Trapped under top-grade metal shrapnel and torn wires. Crushed against the wall, pinning you like an ancient Earth insect in a display case.
Focus.
You turned away from your arm, though your eyes lingered until the last second. Instead, you looked at the entire reason you crawled into this claustrophobic nightmare in the first place.
The ship was under attack. It still shook and creaked with the blows to the outer hull. A grid array fell apart, rendering the transporter unstable and unusable. Which was an issue when your Captain was on the enemy ship, fighting for his life and trying desperately to beam back on board back to safety.
You volunteered before Scotty even finished explaining the situation. You crawled into the Jeffries tube. You got yourself stuck in this death trap when the ship shuttered and shook and the entrance to the tunnel collapsed. Most likely, you would never be able to use your arm again. The nerves were crushed. A horrible sensation of burning pain and intermittent numbness was all you felt.
You took deep, solid breaths. Logical. What did you need to do next to ensure your survival?
Your communicator. It was attached to the back waistband of your pants. You would have to sit up to reach it.
This is going to hurt.
With a deep breath, you leaned forward. A scream ripped its way from your lungs, echoing down the tube in a distorted cry. As soon as your hand grabbed your comm, you fell back against the wall.
Your chest rose and fell with heavy breaths. Tears pricked your eyes. Even as you shuttered with a painful sob, you flicked the communicator open against your leg. It beeped. A familiar sound to pull you from your mind for even a brief second.
“Come in, Scotty.” You took another breath. It was quiet. “Does anybody read me?”
Silence. Unsurprising, really. You were trapped in a tube. Everyone else was most likely fighting for their lives against alien aggressors. How selfish of you.
“Scotty here!”
Nobody was around to hear your sound of relief. “Scotty, I’m trapped in the Jeffries tube and-” The engineer heard the grunt of pain through his communicator. “I’m injured. I can’t get out. The entrance I went through is shut off but- but you can send someone in on the other side.”
“How bad is it?”
You risked another glance at your arm. “I’m pinned down. The outer hull collapsed inward and,” you sighed shakily, “I can’t reach the panel. We can’t beam Kirk back if I don’t-”
The ship shook violently. There was a scream. It took a minute to register that it was your voice. Your throat burned raw from the emotion. The ship was tilting. You kicked a foot against the opposite wall, dropping your comm to press your hand against the roof of the tunnel and keep yourself even. The sound of the device scraping against the floor barely registered as more than an afterthought.
The ship evened out. The shaking stopped. Your emotions were becoming difficult to contain.
Your name came from slightly down the hall where your comm had stopped sliding. “I’m sending Bones in! You alright in there?”
It was too far out of reach to grab. You took a deep breath. Being emotional would not help the situation. Already, you were aware of the warm, wet tears sticking to your cheeks. The distant sound of metal clanging mixed with Scotty calling your name.
Around the bend came the good doctor, struggling with a bag of medical supplies. You’d never seen his face fall so fast. You pointed toward your communicator, still sounding with Scotty’s terrified voice. He crawled to it.
“I have sight on them, Scotty.”
“Are they alright?!”
Bones looked you over, becoming pale as he spotted the metal trapping your arm. His eyes searched yours for an answer. A brief nod, and then your head fell back against the wall.
“They’re conscious.”
“Well, that’s reassuring,” Scotty bit back.
With a click, the line with the head engineer was disconnected.
Leonard dropped his bag to the floor and leaned over you, holding a handle on the ceiling of the tube to keep upright. “My god. What the hell were you thinking, crawling in here when the ship is being shot at?!”
Right. The transporter. It slipped your mind, overwhelmed by emotion.
You weakly pushed him away with your arm and pointed across from you at the other wall. “You need to open that panel.”
“Are you outta your mind?! Your arm is a flapjack and you wanna play mechanic?!”
“Bones!” you gasped, glaring at him. “If you don’t open that panel and do as I say, Kirk won’t be able to beam back over from that ship. Now, are you going to help or not?!”
His eyes searched your face, searching for a bluff or lie that did not exist. His jaw tensed. With a frustrated groan, he turned to the panel. “What do I need to do?”
“Pull the handle. It should open.”
He tugged on the handle, but the panel didn’t budge. “It’s not opening,” he grunted.
You sighed. Spots were blurring your vision. You were lightheaded. “Kick it.”
Maneuvering to sit next to you, he held the handles above him and swung his body into his movements. With a few kicks, the cover broke off, clattering to the floor. He lunged back to the panel. It was a mess of wires and circuits - above his pay grade.
“What now?”
Deep breaths. A wave of nausea overtook your senses. It hurt so fucking bad.
“Hey, stay with me!” He rummaged through his bag, pulling out his tricorder and a hypo. With one hand, he administered the shot into your neck. You barely felt it. With the other, he scanned your injuries. Internal bleeding, crushed nerves, broken bones - the list went on.
Bones tossed his tricorder aside with the hypo, grabbing your shoulder. “Dammit, stay with me.” Your eyes fluttered open. Half of his face was blocked by the spots in your vision. “What do I need to do next?”
You looked back at the panel. An array of blinking lights.
For the Captain.
The ship shook again, but you bit back the cry waiting to escape. “There’s 26 wires,” you muttered. “Three red. Where they connect to the board, is- is it glowing?”
He turned back to the wires. What you didn’t mention was they all overlaid each other. He groaned as he dug through and searched for the red wires. Then, he followed them down to the electronic board they connected to. “No.” He looked over his shoulder. You weren’t about to pass out, but you were slow to respond. “What does that mean?”
You wracked your brain. “Not glowing… There’s a short. You have to bypass it.” Forgetting about the pain, you tried sitting up only to be met with resistance. You winced and sat back. “Is everything else glowing?”
He dug through the wires to see the board again. “Yeah. All but the red.”
“Okay. Top wire - pull it out.”
His head whipped around to stare at you bewildered. “Are you nuts?!” It didn’t click with you why he was so surprised. “It’s bad enough you’re bleedin’ out and down an arm, but now you wanna barbeque me, too!”
“Bones, the power to the wires is shut off automatically as they’re removed. Once it’s pulled out, it’s powerless until Scotty clears the system.” You nodded back at the wires. “Top wire, 12th wire from the top, and 6th from the bottom.”
He grumbled something about not being an electrician as he turned back around and pulled out wires. As he did so, you continued to instruct him. “Pull out the red wires and replace them with the ones you just pulled out.”
“Any order?”
“Top to bottom.”
The ship jerked to the side, dragging you and Bones with the inertia. Your arm pulled at your socket. Bones’ face morphed into horror as you screamed bloody murder. He scrambled up as fast as possible. Desperate, he shoved the wires into the red sockets and lunged for your comm.
“Scotty, clear the system!”
“Aye, sir!”
Leonard, pulling himself by the ceiling handles, dragged himself over to cover you. One foot planted itself next to you against the wall, keeping you from sliding any further. He held you close, chest covering yours and head ducked next to your shoulder. The ship shook and rocked and shuddered and creaked.
And then it stilled.
He waited a second. And then he pulled away. Your eyes were closed. Instinctively, he pressed his fingers to your neck, feeling for a pulse… You were okay.
Thrown back into the situation, he scrambled to grab his comm and flip it open. “Scotty, is Kirk on board?”
There was a brief silence. “I’m on board, Bones,” Kirk panted from the other end. “Where’re you?”
The CMO sighed, falling against the wall next to you with a clang. Wires and motherboards blinked back at him. “In a tube.”
“... What?”
“... You never… Vulc…”
A familiar voice faded in and out. Trying to place who was speaking was akin to wading through a sea of tribbles. Everything was fuzzy and slow.
Your fingertips, calloused from working in engineering so long, brushed against soft fabric. You tried to reach out with your mind; try to figure out why you couldn’t feel anything with your other hand.
And then everything sunk in.
Bright light burned your retinas. You squinted through the radiant glow, trying to find landmarks to focus on. Adjusting, your eyes landed on Bones, standing right by your bed with a PADD in hand. His face, you had to remind yourself, was always a frown.
“What…?”
He set the PADD aside and settled down on the edge of your bed. He crossed his arms. “I said, you never told me you’re Vulcan.”
Oh. Right. Your hand instinctively reached up to rub the curl of your ear. It was hard to see now, but careful observation made it obvious. Your ears were cut at the tips. You frowned at the memory.
Slurring, you tried to explain. “Some assholes… On the Paragon. They-”
“I know.” He sighed. “Contacted the captain. He told me about the attack. And how you blackmailed him.”
The corner of your lips twitched upward into some loose form of a smile. Bones found it strange to see any kind of Vulcan showing emotion like that. Though, before he knew you were a ‘green-blooded hobgoblin’, you expressed more feeling than Mr. Spock.
“I didn’t really blackmail him.” He raised a questioning eyebrow. “All I did was ask to be transferred with forged documents that said I was human. In return, I wouldn’t report what happened to Starfleet.”
He scoffed. “Sounds like blackmail to me.”
You weakly huffed a laugh. Vaguely, you were aware that you were most definitely being drip-fed some pain killers. Your eyes traveled down. A bandaged shoulder was all you had left. Your face fell into a frown.
“There was too much damage to save it,” he said. “I’m sure someone ‘round here would be happy enough to whip you up a prosthetic, but…”
You nodded.
The hum and beeping of machines filled the silence. A full fledged hospital… It was only logical that the Enterprise would go into ‘dry dock’, so to speak. You couldn’t imagine how damaged she must be…
You looked back up at Bones. His eyes were glazed over, distant, and stuck to your bandaged shoulder. “How’s the rest of the crew?”
Snapped out of it, he sat up a bit straighter. “Heavy casualties, but Kirk is fine.”
“And Scotty?”
He nodded. “Bastard’s probably weeping over the Enterprise in some bar right now.”
A bittersweet smile slipped onto your features at the thought. You were more than happy he was alive, but you knew the ship meant a lot to him. She must have been pretty banged up if he was that upset over it… Then again, he was upset by any technical issues.
Exhaustion washed over you. Your eyes fluttered sleepily as you shifted in your bed to be more comfortable. Bones, noticing this, stood back up. He grabbed his PADD and, hesitantly, patted your good shoulder.
“Get some sleep. I’ll be ‘round to check on ya later.”
He lingered a little longer there. His mind brought him back to that Jeffries tube. To the desperate situation he found you in. To the shaking and jerking of the ship as he did what you said to fix the transporter. It took a few engineers with blow torches to cut you out of there. Jim had watched with awe and appreciation as your limp body was pulled out and carried to the MedBay. He couldn’t forget that sight.
With one last deep breath in of the antiseptic stench surrounding him, he began to leave. As he opened the door, however, your voice called out to him.
It wasn’t a cry for help, or a groan of pain. It was simply his name. He turned to see you smiling once more.
“Thank you.”
A weight he didn’t know he was carrying lifted off his chest. He could breathe again.
With a nod and a cocked grin, he left. And he carried with him the knowledge that you would be okay.

I held my breath from my spot in the corner as footsteps slowly padded by.
"Reaper, status." Price spoke in my ear.
"I have the vile."
I scanned the room, locking onto a door leading to the roof, and booked it. My feet propelled me forward as I smacked into the metal panel, pushed it open, and stumbled out into the rain.
I had made it to the ledge of the building as Jackson's voice cut through the air.
"Don't." He growled, "Just give me what I want and no one needs to get hurt."
I scoffed, "That what you told Kenny?"
"This place is rigged to explode. Get out of there now." Roach's voice was urgent.
I glanced off the building. It was way too high for me to jump.
"No can do, I'm stuck on the roof."
"Soap and Ghost are headed your way now."
I turned back to Jackson.
"What do you want with the plans." I needed to stall for time.
"I'm doing everyone a favor," he began "Cleansing the world."
He was fucking crazy.
"Oh?" I could hear propellors in the distance.
"You could have been a part of this, Lendell." Jackson rose his arms. "A new beginning."
"Yeah, because killing millions of innocents is the way to do it," A bitter taste filled my mouth.
"Their deaths are essential-" He was cut off as the entire building shuttered.
I stumbled off of the ledge, catching myself as the helio flew into view.
Jackson lurched forward, I kicked the gun from his hands, sending it flying to the side. He screamed in anger, reaching out and grabbing hold of my neck.
I gasped and dug my nails into his face, earning a yell of pain but it did nothing to loosen his hold.
Darkness edged at my vision, beckoning me into its embrace.
Suddenly the pressure was gone and I fell to my knees, coughing and gagging as I regained consciousness.
Jackson knelt a few paces ahead of me, cursing as he held his side, blood dripping onto the ground. I whipped my head to see Ghost looking up from his rifle. Soap by his side.
"Thanks for that." I nodded thankfully as the building shuddered again. The place was about to fall apart.
"Jump!" Soap reached his arm out as the building began to collapse.
I sprinted, forcing my body to move faster as I lept, but my foot slipped as the concrete below me gave out.
I just barely caught his hand, swinging as the helio tilted.
Something grabbed my ankle and looked down to see Jackson holding on to me. The tendon in my shoulder burned as I dangled in the air, rain pouring down around us.
Ghost caught Soap's other arm, gripping the interior to keep us in place.
I kicked at his face, planting a solid hit before a knife imbedded itself into my leg. I let out a shout of pain, kicking again but my energy was draining fast.
A feeling of dread pooled in my stomach as my hand began to slip, blood and water mixing as it dripped from my leg.
I could see Soap cursing in pain as Ghost's feet slipped, causing my body to lurch.
Roach and Price's voices echoed in my ears, but I couldn't focus on what they were saying as I studied the men above me, blinking the rain from my vision.
My team.
The assholes who picked me up off the side of the road and accepted me as their own.
My friends.
Soap was struggling, his injuries were just as bad as my own. We both knew that.
I also knew that he wouldn't be able to keep this up for much longer.
Something settled in my head, resolve replacing the despair in my gut.
Simon's feet slipped again.
Johnny's eyes flickered between my own, "Cris, don't."
I still had a job to do.
He shouted in alarm as my hand relaxed, slipping from his grasp as Jackson and I tumbled through the air.
I grabbed the knife from my leg and yanked it out, ignoring the flare of pain as I did.
Grappling onto Jackson, I burried the blade into his neck and yanked. Ripping his throat open and finally killing the bastard.
Pushing his body away from mine, a smile pulled at my lips as I fell, the familiar feeling wrapping me in comfort.
"Cris!" I could hear my name as I descended, tears mixing with the rain as I went.
======
Ghost POV:
Too long.
It took too fucking long to clear the area before we could get back to the demolished building.
It had stopped raining by the time we returned to the blast site, clouds parting to reveal the clear sky.
The team practicly tore apart the rubble, looking for any sign of Cris.
"Found her!" Roach screamed from a few feet away, causing the rest of us to run over.
My knees collided with the ground as I reached his side, helping him push the rubble off.
Gripping Cris by the shoulders, I pulled her out, laying her head in my lap as Soap checked the injuries. I could feel the chill of her skin as I put my fingers to her neck, checking for a pulse.
It was faint, but I could feel her heartbeat.
"Still alive."
Blood spattered her clothes, leaving a crimson mark on the ground where she lay. A large cut leaking from her temple, staining half of her face. The rest of her injuries hidden by her clothes were revealed as Soap removed her vest.
My heart dropped to my feet as we took in the gaping wound in her chest as if someone had stuck a rod through it and yanked it out. Leaving her skin bloody and tattered.
"Shit." Price hissed.
"Price?" She peeled her eyes open, wincing as she did.
I placed my hands on either side of her head, holding her still.
"Right here, kid." I whispered. "We all are."
Her body shook as a cough racked through her, spitting out blood onto her chin.
"I don't feel so good." She slurred, eyes rolling back in her head as she desperately tried to stay awake.
Her hand twiched and Soap took it in his own, rubbing the back of his thumb against it.
"It's alright lass," His voice was tight as he lied. "You'll be okay."
She smiled, wincing through the pain as she looked up at him.
"No..." She whispered. "I won't."
No one objected. Her body shutting down, unable to pull through this time.
Her lip trembled as she mulled over the thought, a single tear running down the side of her face and onto my hand.
"I'm not ready to be done." She croaked.
Pierce knelt by her side, brushing the hair out of her face. "You did well, Cris."
There was a pang in my heart as I clenched my jaw.
"We got you," I reassured her.
"Always," Roach stepped into her view as she took a long look at each of us, soaking up the time she had left.
"I know," Cris whispered. "You always have."
Her free hand tried to lift off the ground as she tilted her head back to look at me.
"Your face..." her words were weak.
I swallowed before reaching up, pulling the cloth from my face. The cold breeze swept through my hair and chilled my face.
Cris smiled. "Simon."
Her thumb grazed my cheek gently, leaving a smear of blood in its place.
I nodded, ignoring the sting in my eyes.
"That's me."
Minuets passed as we sat in silence, surrounding her, supporting her as her grip loosened in Soap's hand.
Her eyes flickered to the sky, sighing as she took in the view. I tore my gaze from her face and looked to the horizon. The sun had begun to rise, spilling over the mountains and staining the sky a breathtaking array of colors. As if saying goodbye.
"Pretty..." She hummed, eyes fluttering shut as the life drained from her body.
Soap's chin dropped to his chest, squeezing his eyes shut tightly. "She's gone."
A wave of nausea washed over me. Dread clinging to my bones as someone yelled in frustration behind me.
Price stood, looking at the helio as it touched down a few meters away.
I continued to stare down at her face. It was calm as if she was just taking a nap. A slight smile on her lips.
"Time to go, boys." Price's voice was tired.
Soap hesitated before setting her hand gently on her chest and stood. A slight stutter in his step as he went.
I finally shifted, slipping my mask back on, and moved my arms under her legs and back as I picked her up. Her head rolled back as I stood.
My body moved on its own accord as we trudged to the aircraft.
Medics rushed out to me, hands reaching out to take her from my grasp.
"Don't" I growled, tightening my grip on her body as they backed off.
My mind was hazy as we stepped in, I gently set her down on the stretcher in the middle of the hangar and stood, gazing down at the blood on my hands.
It hadn't been the first time I had lost a teammate, but this time was different somehow. Anger flashed through my body, making my vision go white for a moment before it fizzled out. Grief taking its place.
Wrong. This felt wrong.
I fell back into the seat, resting my forearms on my legs and head my hands.
Someone gripped my shoulder and I looked up to see Soap gazing down at me. His eyes were blank, void of emotion as he took his place next to me.
The flight home was silent.

The room is not gaudy or opulent in a way benefiting of Ketterdam's most notorious and unseemly wealthy boss of the Barrel. Nor is it depressingly downtrodden and cramped in the way of lesser headquarters.
The office is of simple elegance and sturdy craftsmanship, polished oak planks not yet worn through their shine, walls perhaps made of stone behind wooden paneling, bookshelves and desk made of the same dark imported lumber.
Nothing too fine, nothing on the edge of disrepair. Measure of balance unseen in nearly all the criminal underworld. Not that anyone dare call Dirtyhands a criminal.
The man trembles visibly, subdued shuttering wracking up and down the trail of his spine, hands wrenching his cap so tight its a wonder they don't break from the pressure.
A grunt named Rotty or some such gives him a shove, sending him almost sprawling at the foot of the desk. He rights himself, stumbling and runs a weathered hand nervously through his thinning hair.
His darting eyes flashing toward the door in surprise when it shuts with an audible click, the man guarding him seemingly dismissed without a word.
Rotty for his part sends the him a pitying look on his way out, having escorted many men to a similar fate.
Fenway Rutger is not a nervous man, not by trade or practice. He moves about his days with a sort of misplaced arrogance unfitting of a small, weasely man such as himself. But the people of Ketterdam know more than most that money is power, and fortunately (or perhaps unfortunately) for him, Fenway has quite a bit.
His self sense of power seems to hold none here. There is something ominous about this room and it's occupant. Something dark, heavy. Enough so that Fenway can not bring himself to lift his eyes from wooden floors, locked onto their polished shine.
"Rutger, was it?"
It's not a true question, the answer is already known. The voice that asks, is raspy, demanding. Such a command that Fenway cannot refuse the underlying order to look up.
Kaz Brekker cuts an imposing figure. Almost hideous in the cruel beauty of his face. Like some ancient deity carved of ice and stone, looming presence sweeping the room, a malevolent Northern wind.
A crow, so black, so still, perched on the arm of a chair, just this side of a throne, glints with stolen light. For a moment he is not sure whether this bird is mere decoration, a tribute to Brekker's syndicate, or an illusion brought on by fear.
A shift in the bird's shadowed feathers and intelligent glare of its pitch eyes, is warning enough.
"F-fenway Rutger. Fen," he despises the terror in his tone.
He watches the bird preen under Brekker's pale hand, slow, smooth strokes hypnotizing in their tempo.
"Do you know why you're here?"
The Bastard cares not for formalities.
Fen gives his cap another angry, anxious twist before responding, "I weren't cheatin' if that's what you think. I ain't never cheat Three Man Bram-"
"Do you know why you're here?"
Something sinister lurks in his voice that makes Fen's blood freeze solid.
Fen does not know Brekker. Their paths have never crossed but a city like Ketterdam talks and being in a position like his, Fenway is inclined to listen.
His spider, his Wraith, his miniature fly on the wall, is gone. And there has been no news, no flicker that she'll been replaced. His most essential flow of information has been (permanently?) dammed.
Yet he sits, a unholy King, and Fen is somehow certain that he knows.
"Do you know?" Brekker demands of him.
He hates himself, not for his actions but for the weak, sniveling mess he's become in front of this man, just a hairs breath from a teenager.
"No, I ain't know nothin', 'kay.. I ain't done nothin' wrong!"
Kaz's eyes turn iron sharp, a frightening change from the hazed brown of before.
"So," he asks unflinching, "you're unaware of the underaged children found in your warehouse this afternoon?"
Sweat broke out on his forehead. "I don't got no warehouse."
"You have no knowledge of a warehouse under the name of Bran Henson?"
His eyes found the floor at the base of the desk, "Don't know any Bran..."
"You're unaware of the crying and pain of the children housed in a warehouse on my own wharf? Unaware of the fear and terror expressed when my men broke in to free them from their blood crusted chains? You claim no knowledge of the deposits in your account in accordance with the ledger found on the premises? You hold no guilt over the two they couldn't save!?"
Fen felt the jolt of wood hitting his knees as he knelt in submission. Fear was a powerful sedative, he could not move, couldn't speak.
Kaz stepped forward, leaning back against the desk, and used his cane to lift up Fen's chin.
His eyes watered and he fought not to let the tears fall.
"You are pathetic. Pathetic and sick. Selling children as if they were meat to the highest bidder. You'll pay for you crimes. You'll regret ever setting foot in my city."
Fear reeked. It stung.
"Please," he blubbered, but Brekker was not a forgiving man.
Fen watched the great black crow, shudder and ruffle from it perch, watched it's held tilt in curiosity, the scrap of claws on wood as it hopped it's way to Brekker side.
Kaz let his gaze soft to adoration and something like love and flicker to the beast. "My darling Inej would be fair. Just. Perhaps even merciful in her execution."
He ran his fingers through the down black of it, it lifted it's great head to nuzzle into his palm. "Wouldn't you my love?"
The bird squawked, almost sweetly. Brekker smiled in response. A cold, broken thing.
His gaze was ice when he glared down at Fen. "I will not be so benevolent, Mr. Rutger."
~
Kaz watched the floor from the shadow of his office. Watched the chitter flick of Maker's Wheel, the cheers of a win at the card table, the smash of glass on the floor as a drunken bum tried dancing with an equal drunk woman.
The screeching weasel had not disrupted the spirits of the patrons who continued on unabashedly and joyous.
The creatures warm blood dripped off his chin, it'd splattered everywhere. He felt it hit and stain his crisp white shirt. He frowned then. He'd have to buy a new suit.
A crows call sounded out behind him. Pure and melodious.
"Coming Inej."

howdy! so i've been having some castle family brain rot lately and as a fellow haver of castle family brain rot, i wanted to rec the recent comic punisher war journal: base #1. there's some whack shenaniganery in the middle but the castle family stuff has me feral
Tumblr media
(personally i think lisa should have been the astronaut but the bee is adorable)
Howdy howdy
Thank you for the rec I’m absolutely checking it out ASAP. It looks incredible, especially this panel.
I feel like so much of Frank Castle is locked into how his life with his family was not this perfect and idealized past he lost. It was sometimes messy and painful and imperfect—but that doesn’t change the depth of love he felt for them.
His time in war touched him extremely deeply and it affected his dynamics and interactions with his family. And it’s sooo interesting in the sense that in the show and in the comics Frank seems to repeatedly try to shutter out his family from him as a solider—and pretty unsuccessfully. It’s not that his family doesn’t see the echoes of franks time in war, but he often does not talk to them about the full depth of what happened and how it affects him internally.
So you’re left with this extremely messy man who had a very complicated relationship with his loved ones that he can’t fix anymore. I feel like we always think we have time to make things better, but Frank can’t bridge the divide with a family that died. The punisher is so tangled up in regret and lost potentiality and I feel like panels like these really show as much.
Thank you again for sharing I have an absolutely terminal case of castle family brain rot and I am so excited to have more comics to feed it
(also I agree the bee is soooo cute but Lisa should have been the astronaut)

Perfectly flat and smooth finish Glass is included, Comes Fully Assembled With Metal Wire Hooks. Ready For Your Wall Mounting Method: Hot Vacuum Press(will never fold or fade) The Garden of Earthly Delights is the modern title[1] given to a triptych painted by the Early Netherlandish master Hieronymus Bosch, housed in the Museo del Prado in Madrid since 1939. It dates from between 1490 and 1510, when Bosch was between about 40 and 60 years old,[2] and is his best-known[3] and most ambitious surviving work.[4] The triptych is painted in oil on oak and is formed from a square middle panel flanked by two other oak rectangular wings that close over the center as shutters. The outer wings, when folded, show a grisaille painting of the earth during the biblical narrative of Creation. The three scenes of the inner triptych are probably (but not necessarily) intended to be read chronologically from left to right. The left panel depicts God presenting Eve to Adam, the central panel is a broad panorama of socially engaged nude figures, fantastical animals, oversized fruit and hybrid stone formations. The right panel is a hellscape and portrays the torments of damnation. Art historians frequently interpret the painting as a didactic warning on the perils of life's temptations.[5] However, the intricacy of its symbolism, particularly that of the central panel, has led to a wide range of scholarly interpretations over the centuries.[6] Twentieth-century art historians are divided as to whether the triptych's central panel is a moral warning or a panorama of paradise lost. American writer Peter S. Beagle describes it as an "erotic derangement that turns us all into voyeurs, a place filled with the intoxicating air of perfect liberty".[7]

Customizing Your Kitchen Shutters, Shower Cubicles, and Glass Windows
Tumblr media
Have you ever walked into a space and felt an instant "wow"? Often, the secret lies in the details – the way light plays across surfaces, the unexpected pops of color, and the seamless integration of function and form. This is where customizing your home's elements, like kitchen shutters, shower cubicles, and glass windows, comes into play. It's about transforming these everyday features into design statements that reflect your unique style and enhance your living experience.
Kitchen Shutters: Beyond Basic Cabinets
Let's face it, traditional kitchen cabinets can sometimes feel bulky and visually overwhelming. Enter kitchen shutters. These beauties offer a lighter, more modern aesthetic while providing ample storage space. Imagine replacing those heavy cabinet doors with sleek, frosted glass shutters. They instantly elevate the look of your kitchen, making it feel more open and airy.
The Customization Canvas:
Material Marvels: Kitchen shutters come in a variety of materials like wood, MDF (medium-density fiberboard), and even textured finishes. Wood shutters lend a timeless elegance, while MDF offers a smooth, modern look at a budget-friendly price point. Textured finishes, like linen or hammered metal, can add a touch of personality and visual interest.
Playing with Light: Don't just settle for solid panels. Explore options like frosted or patterned glass to introduce diffused light and create a sense of depth. Consider incorporating cut-outs or geometric shapes for a truly unique touch.
Hardware Harmony: The right hardware can elevate your kitchen shutters from good to great. Choose cabinet pulls or knobs that complement the overall style of your kitchen. For a minimalist look, opt for sleek, bar pulls. If you're going for a more traditional vibe, consider decorative knobs or cup pulls.
Real-World Inspiration:
Modern Farmhouse: Picture this: A bright and airy kitchen with crisp white cabinets adorned with sleek black wooden shutters. The shutters add a touch of rustic charm while still maintaining a clean and contemporary feel.
Industrial Chic: Imagine exposed brick walls, stainless steel countertops, and cabinets outfitted with metal-framed glass shutters. This combination creates a cool, edgy look that's perfect for the urban dweller.
Coastal Oasis: Bring a touch of the beach to your kitchen with whitewashed wooden shutters accented with woven rattan knobs. Frosted glass panels with a hint of blue add a subtle nautical touch.
Shower Cubicles: Spa-Like Serenity
The bathroom is a place for relaxation and rejuvenation. So, why not transform it into a spa-like sanctuary? Here's where shower cubicles come in. Gone are the days of clunky shower curtains that stick to you and create a cramped feeling. Shower cubicles offer a luxurious and sophisticated alternative, creating a defined space for your showering experience.
Customization for Comfort and Style:
Glass Options: When it comes to shower cubicles , the star of the show is, of course, the glass. Choose from clear glass for a minimalist look, or frosted glass for added privacy. You can even explore textured glass options for a touch of visual intrigue.
Frame it Up: The frame of your shower cubicle can significantly impact the overall aesthetic. Opt for sleek chrome or brushed nickel for a modern feel, or go for classic white or black for a timeless look.
Functionality First: Consider incorporating features like built-in shelves for toiletries, a rainfall showerhead for an extra spa-like experience, or a niche for holding shampoo and conditioner.
A Touch of Luxury:
Walk-in Wonder: For a truly luxurious feel, consider a walk-in shower cubicle. This option creates a spacious and inviting atmosphere, perfect for larger bathrooms.
Double Trouble: If you have the space, a double shower cubicle can be a great option for couples or families. This allows for a more spacious showering experience and eliminates the need for multiple shower curtains.
Corner Magic: Don't have a lot of space to spare? A corner shower cubicle can be a great space-saving solution. It maximizes the use of corner space and creates a functional showering area in even the most compact bathrooms.
Glass Windows: Welcoming the Light
Natural light is not just good for your mood; it can also make your home feel more spacious and inviting. This is where glass windows come in. They play a vital role in bringing the outdoors in and creating a connection with nature.
A World of Window Options:
Style Spectrum: From classic double-hung windows to modern picture windows, there's a style to suit every taste and architectural style. Double-hung windows offer versatility with both upper and lower sashes that open for ventilation.

Benefits of Interior Shutters
Wooden window shutters are gradually becoming one of the most popular window decoration options in Pune, India. Wooden shutters are an appealing and simple way to outfit windows, and they also provide several benefits. Because of its design, wooden window shutters can be customised to fit most windows, boosting the appearance of your home and much more!
Let’s look at some of the benefits of wooden window shutters and why they’re becoming increasingly popular among homeowners in Pune, India.
Tumblr media
Benefits of Interior Window Shutters
1.Light Management
One of the most significant advantages of interior window shutters is the ability to control the amount of light that enters a room. This is especially true with louvred shutters, which may be set to extremely specific levels to meet your demands at different times of day.
Louvred interior window shutters feature tiered slats that may be adjusted with a switch or stick. Solid panel interior window shutters also enable light control, albeit only in the on/off sense, which can be extremely handy for bedrooms that receive street lights or early morning natural light.
2.Protection against the Elements
With rising energy rates, adding an extra layer of insulation might help to keep your electricity expenditures in check. Interior window shutters assist with this by generating an extra pocket of air between your glass window and the shutter, allowing you to circulate air throughout a room without having to fully open a window or be exposed to rain.
3.Cooler Home
While interior window shutters provide good protection against cold and rain, they are also versatile enough to allow air to circulate throughout a room or your entire home even when the sun is shining brightly. This has a cooling effect by enabling a breeze to circulate while keeping the direct heat of the sun away from the interior.
4.Protecting From Sun Damage
Shades within the wood will provide individuality to the complementary upgrading of your home. Wood screens are an excellent investment and should be regarded as good furniture. They are also the primary window coverings considered when estimating the value of your home.
The rich common appearance and coordinating quality accents they offer make them an excellent choice for your home. It is also an important consideration while planning residential interiors. Over-brightness affects not only you or your guests, but also the furniture in your home. The sun’s UV rays can damage and degrade carpeting, furniture, photographs, and books over time, so be aware of this before it is too late.
5.Shutters are Customisable
Wooden window shutters are easily tailored to match the aesthetics and style of your home interior. Shutters can be custom-made to fit your windows exactly. You can also buy shutters in a variety of colours, and if you can’t find one that you like, you may paint your window shutters to match the colour scheme of the room they’ll be in. What could be more useful than a completely customised window treatment for your home?
6.Window Shutters Maximise House Value
Having wooden window shutters in your home is an excellent selling point for potential buyers. Shutters give flair and style to any home, boosting its overall appeal while giving all of the above practical benefits. Shutters make a terrific first impression for many homeowners and boost not only your chances of selling but also the value of your house.
7.Shutters are Low-Maintenance
One of the most enticing features of wooden window shutters is their low maintenance requirements. In contrast, blinds and curtains tend to collect dust and are difficult to clean. However, wooden shutters require very little maintenance, merely a quick wipe down with a damp cloth every now and then to help prevent dust build up. As a result, persons with dust allergies will benefit greatly from wooden shutters.
8.Sound Exclusion
Interior window shutters can keep out the sun and other natural elements while also blocking noise from the street or nearby nature. Sound waves, particularly high-frequency ones, are very easy to filter out with heavier materials like wood, thus closing your shutters at night should result in a quieter home atmosphere.

These arise from their capacity to filter out environmental variables such as rain, cold, sunlight, and noise. They can also help you keep your privacy at home and provide you with a versatile window covering that you can change depending on the situation.
The installation of inside window shutters is multifunctional and does more than simply look good; it may also help you save money on your energy bills and improve the air quality in your home. Shutters also provide additional privacy and control over how much light enters the home without impeding natural light or raising household energy use. Ways to Transform Your Home Exterior and Elevate Your Curb Appeal
First impressions matter, and the exterior of your home is the first thing people see. Whether you’re planning to sell your home or simply want to enhance its appearance, boosting your curb appeal can make a significant difference. Elevating the aesthetic appeal of your home not only captures the attention of passersby and potential buyers but also increases the overall value of your property. An inviting exterior can create a welcoming atmosphere while reflecting your personal style. Let’s explore several effective ways to transform your home’s exterior, from fresh paint to artistic embellishments.
Brighten Up Your Home with a Fresh Coat of Paint
House painting is one of the most effective ways to transform your home’s exterior. Choosing the right color scheme can instantly rejuvenate an aging facade. It’s essential to select quality exterior paints that can withstand the elements while providing lasting beauty. Consider how your color choices will look in different lighting throughout the day and how they coordinate with features like roofing and landscaping. In recent trends, neutral tones with bold accents on the door or shutters are popular, offering a timeless appeal that enhances most architectural styles.
 Welcome Home: Revitalizing Your Entryway
Your front door serves as the centerpiece of your home’s curb appeal. Choosing a door that reflects the architectural style of your home while adding a pop of color can make a striking statement. Materials such as fiberglass and solid wood are not only durable but also aesthetically versatile. Adding details like decorative glass panels or ornate door handles can further personalize your entryway, making it both inviting and reflective of your personal taste.
 Cultivating Charm: Elevate Your Landscaping
Effective landscaping goes beyond planting a few flowers. Consider designing a garden that blooms throughout the seasons, keeping your home surrounded by color and vibrancy all year long. Adding fresh mulch to garden beds can enhance the contrast of the surrounding greenery and blooms. The strategic placement of trees can provide both shade and a natural frame for your house, and integrating native plants ensures lower maintenance and better growth.
Illuminate Your Space: Outdoor Lighting Solutions
Good lighting is essential for safety and can also be used to accentuate the architectural features of your home. Pathway lights add a welcoming glow leading up to your front door, while spotlights can highlight your landscaping or architectural details. Ambient lighting, such as lantern-style lights or string lights, can create a warm and inviting outdoor environment. Energy-efficient options like LEDs or solar-powered lights offer sustainability while keeping your property illuminated.
Pathways to Elegance: Upgrading Your Driveway and Walkways
The condition of your driveway and walkways can significantly impact the first impression of your home. Resurfacing an old driveway can bring new life to your property’s entrance. Using pavers can provide a touch of elegance and are available in various materials and colors to match your home’s style. Adding creative edging along the walkways can also enhance the garden beds, providing a clean and manicured look.
Framing Perfection: Window Trims and Shutters
Updating or adding window trims and shutters can significantly boost your home’s visual appeal. When choosing trims and shutters, consider colors that contrast with your home’s primary color to make them stand out. Different materials offer varying levels of durability and maintenance, with wood offering classic beauty and vinyl providing longevity with minimal upkeep. Shutters add a layer of texture and color, while trims define the windows distinctly against the siding.
A Facelift for Your Home: New Siding
New siding can drastically change the appearance of your home. It not only protects your home from weather elements but also serves as a major factor in aesthetic appeal. Materials like vinyl and fiber cement offer durability and a wide range of color options, allowing for complete customization of your home’s exterior. Assessing your home’s architectural style and environmental demands will guide your choice, ensuring both beauty and resilience.
Personal Touches: Artistic Elements for Your Home Exterior
Adding personal artistic touches can make your home stand out in the neighborhood. Creative mailboxes, unique house numbers, and exterior artworks such as sculptures or wall hangings can express your personality while adding visual interest. These elements should complement the home’s overall style rather than clash, creating a cohesive and attractive exterior. This personalization not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also creates a sense of identity and belonging, making your home truly yours. Integrating elements like wind chimes, a decorative weathervane, or custom-made outdoor signs can further highlight your personal tastes and make your home feel even more welcoming and unique.
