Ephesians 3:20-21 Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us. By this power, he can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Glory belongs to God in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time and eternity! Amen. Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Hebrews 4:9  There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God
Just consider, that the more we relinquish ourselves to the Father the more room we make for Him to fill.  Just think,  if we gave Him a sabbath rest how much would be poured into us?  ToDa, Abba, ToDa   jfa

My Church has been doing a series which is going to last the entire year called Under the Influence and it’s all about spiritual practices and disciplines with scriptural support/explanations, and practical applications.
It has been so helpful.
Some of the practices so far have been simple things like fasting, praying three times a day (preferably on your knees), sharing a meal with someone each day (not eating alone every meal), turn your phone off for an hour a day, scripture before phone and taking a sabbath.
I have been trying to put these practices into my life and it’s made such a big difference. Especially the Sabbath. One of the episodes of The Kingdom Vision Podcast was talking about the sabbath and how it’s so significant that it was implemented by God for us before sin entered the world. We are made for a sabbath rest and I find that rhythm of pausing each week helps keep me from straying too far from the path ‘cause some weeks are rough. My son won’t sleep, getting my time in the word and prayer gets difficult, the house gets messy and I just get so distracted but when sabbath comes again (which I take on Sundays), I get a reset.
I’ve been trying to replace lesser things with greater things also. I listen to a fair amount of political podcasts ‘cause I find them interesting, but I started replacing them with Christian podcasts and worship music. Keeps me from getting too far off in the weeds about politics. I put timers on all my apps that waste a lot of time and it’s freed up a lot of time to keep up on other more important things like my house family and faith walk.
But man, these spiritual disciplines and practices are so important. I never really thought about the sabbath or fasting but since I have been practicing them now, I feel the power of it in my life.
I feel the desires of my heart changing and I love it.

The LORD is upright; He is my Rock...
How Great Are Your Works It is good to praise the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High, to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning and Your faithfulness at night with the ten-stringed harp and the melody of the lyre.
For You, O LORD, have made me glad by Your deeds; I sing for joy at the works of Your hands. How great are Your works, O LORD, how deep are Your thoughts! A senseless man does not know, and a fool does not understand, that though the wicked sprout like grass, and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed.
But You, O LORD, are exalted forever!
For surely Your enemies, O LORD, surely Your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. But You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; with fine oil I have been anointed. My eyes see the downfall of my enemies; my ears hear the wailing of my wicked foes.
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. In old age they will still bear fruit; healthy and green they will remain, to proclaim, “The LORD is upright; He is my Rock, and in Him there is no unrighteousness.” — Psalm 92 | The Reader’s Bible (BRB) The Reader’s Bible © 2020 by Bible Hub and Berean.Bible. My pastor mentioned something in his sermon this morning that I'd never really thought of before:
Our day of rest is at the beginning of the week.
Before Christ, the Sabbath was the seventh day of the week. "Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God." You do your ordinary work for six days, and then you get a day of rest at the end of your labors. It's linked to creation, to how God rested after He had finished creating the world.
But then Jesus came and died on the cross. And then he rose from the dead on Sunday, the first day of the week. And from the first days of the church, that's the day we meet to worship Him, to remember and praise Him for what He's done for us.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Jesus came to give us rest--not just the rest of a good night's sleep, but the rest of eternal salvation. The kind of rest that our whole lives are centered around, that has bearing on everything we do in the days following.
We begin our week with rest.

Sabbath Rest: Part 2
Hebrews 4.8-16 There is a Sabbath rest for the people of God, but we will only experience that rest when we walk by faith. We only experience that rest as we learn to trust God yet more and more in the moments of our life…as we seek His help in our time of need. As believers, we are all called to rest, but we don’t all experience it. And I love this quote from DL Moody that Jared shared with me…

Sunday Sabbatarianism is enshrined in its most mature expression, the Westminster Confession of Faith (1646), in the Calvinist theological tradition. Chapter 21, Of Religious Worship, and the Sabbath Day, sections 7-8 read:
As it is the law of nature, that, in general, a due proportion of time be set apart for the worship of God; so, in his Word, by a positive, moral, and perpetual commandment binding all men in all ages, he hath particularly appointed one day in seven, for a Sabbath, to be kept holy unto him: which, from the beginning of the world to the resurrection of Christ, was the last day of the week; and, from the resurrection of Christ, was changed into the first day of the week, which, in Scripture, is called the Lord’s day, and is to be continued to the end of the world, as the Christian Sabbath.
This Sabbath is then kept holy unto the Lord, when men, after a due preparing of their hearts, and ordering of their common affairs beforehand, do not only observe a holy rest, all the day, from their own works, words, and thoughts about their worldly employments and recreations, but also are taken up, the whole time, in the public and private exercises of his worship, and in the duties of necessity and mercy. The confession holds that not only is work forbidden in Sunday, but also "works, words, and thoughts" about "worldly employments and recreations." Instead, the whole day should be taken up with "public and private exercises of [one's] worship, and in the duties of necessity and mercy." (Wikipedia)

The article below fails to mention that all of those "American" policies originated with England and England's invasion of North America, but it's still relevant and comparable to what the Europeans are doing to the Abrahamic faiths, all Hebrews on Earth, and Israel to this day. The United States of America didn't form until after the English colonists decided they were sick of England and they'd rather all fight to the death than continue enduring being docile mindless subjects and slaves of the self-deifying, corrupt, delusional and godless heretics responsible for the "Old Testament" of the King James Version of the Christian Holy Bible.
For its policies toward Native Americans and attempts to keep the races apart, Hitler considered the United States an admirable -- but incomplete -- example of a 'folk' nation By Matt Lebovic 13 August 2017, 11:29 am The Times of Israel
Hitler had an “admiring engagement” with America’s handling of Native Americans, said Whitman. In a 1928 speech, the future dictator said the US had “gunned down the millions of Redskins to a few hundred thousand, and now keeps the modest remnant under observation in a cage.” For its policies toward Native Americans and attempts to keep the races apart, Hitler considered the US an admirable — but incomplete — example of a “volkisch” nation. A notable success, in Nazi eyes, was the “dead letter” citizenship afforded to blacks.
“It was not outlandish for [the Nazis] to think of their program of the early 1930s as a more thoroughgoing and rigorous realization of American approaches toward blacks, Asians, Native Americans, Filipinos, Puerto Ricans, and others — even if the regime had shifted its sights to a new target in the form of the Jews, even if it would later take the racist exercise of modern state power in an unimaginably horrifying new direction,” wrote Whitman.
The aspect of America’s “common law racism” that most appealed to the Nazis was called “anti-mongrelization law,” or measures aimed at preventing “mixed” marriages. In 30 states, “anti-miscegenation” laws existed to prevent these unions from taking place. There were even fines and jail sentences issued to offenders, something Whitman called “rare” in legal history.
Another aspect of American race law that appealed to Nazi legal minds was the ability of state and local judges to use common law to — for instance — discriminate against blacks. A Constitutional amendment might have freed the slaves, but many southern leaders, including governors, mayors and judges, were bent on denying blacks the voting rights afforded by citizenship.
Also of appeal to Nazi planners, US politics was “comparatively unencumbered by law,” and a plan like FDR’s “New Deal” could thrive in tandem with the country’s systemic racism, according to Whitman. This combination inspired the Nazis during the 1930s, when the “Four Year Plan” created new jobs and built a covert war machine, all while the persecution of Jews and other minorities steadily increased.
“What the American example showed was that German judges could persecute Jews even without legislation founded in clear and scientifically satisfactory definitions,” wrote Whitman. In a regime that was to become obsessed with “who is a Jew,” this flexibility — such as deployed by judges in the US south — would become important, including when the Nuremberg Laws were crafted.

In one recent example of changing weather patterns throughout the globe, the city of Reutlingen, Germany, experienced 12 inches of hail and snow earlier in August. Officials in the city, which is located in the southwest of Germany, described the event as a “localized storm with hail and heavy rain.” It took 250 firefighters and multiple snowplows to clean up the damage from the unexpected storm, which included blocked drainage systems and the Echaz River rising 5 feet and bursting its banks. ES Euro featured images here. August is typically the warmest month in Reutlingen, with average temperatures ranging from 54.5 to 73.2 degrees Fahrenheit. The month of August typically brings no snowfall, according to Weather Atlas, as it is the height of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. The residents of Reutlingen were likely quite surprised to see 12 inches of hail and snow during the warmest month of the year. When it comes to changing weather patterns and extreme weather events, we can increasingly expect the unexpected, as our dependence on fossil fuels continues to wreak havoc on every aspect of life on our planet. https://phys.org/news/2023-08-german-city-deploys-snowplows-summer.html https://euro.eseuro.com/local/773177.html
Reutlingen, Germany, was an Imperial City of the Holy Roman Empire. In 1495 and 1516 the Jews were exiled from the city. The worst disaster in the history of Reutlingen happened in 1726, when a major fire swept through the city, destroying 80% of all residential houses and almost all public buildings, and making 1,200 families homeless. The impact of this fire, which lasted three days, is still visible today. During World War II, the wings of the V-1 flying bomb were manufactured in Reutlingen, making the city the target of several allied bombing raids. The V-1 flying bomb (German: Vergeltungswaffe 1 "Vengeance Weapon 1") was an early cruise missile. Its official Reich Aviation Ministry (RLM) designation was Fi 103. (Wikipedia)

More than two million Soviet Jews are believed to have died during the Holocaust in warfare and in Nazi-occupied territories. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, many Soviet Jews took the opportunity of liberalized emigration policies, with more than half of the population leaving, most for Israel and the West: Germany, the United States, Canada and Australia.
Idina Kim Mentzel was born on May 30, 1971, in Manhattan. She grew up in New Jersey until about age three, when her family moved to Syosset, New York, on Long Island. Her parents are Stuart Mentzel, a pajama salesman, and Helene Goldberg, a therapist. She has a younger sister named Cara. Menzel is Jewish, and her grandparents emigrated from Russia. Menzel attended J. Irving Baylis Elementary School in Plainview, New York, and then Syosset's H. B. Thompson Middle School and Syosset High School. When Menzel was 15 years old, her parents divorced and she began working as a wedding and bar/bat mitzvah singer, a job that she continued throughout her time at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drama in 1992. Idina changed the spelling of her surname to "Menzel" to better reflect the pronunciation that the Mentzel family had adopted in the United States. (Wikipedia)

Jeremiah 2:3 Israel was holy to the Lord, The first fruits of His harvest. All who ate of it were held guilty; Disaster befell them--declares the Lord. Jeremiah 2:4 Hear the word of the Lord, O House of Jacob, Every clan of the House of Israel! Jeremiah 2:5 Thus said the Lord: What wrong did your fathers find in Me That they abandoned Me And went after delusion and were deluded? Jeremiah 2:6 They never asked themselves, "Where is the Lord, Who brought us up from the land of Egypt, Who led us through the wilderness, A land of deserts and pits, A land of drought and darkness, A land no man had traversed, Where no human being had dwelt?" Jeremiah 2:7 I brought you to this country of farm land To enjoy its fruit and its bounty; But you came and defiled My land, You made My possession abhorrent. Jeremiah 2:8 The priests never asked themselves, "Where is the Lord?" The guardians of the Teaching ignored Me; The rulers rebelled against Me, And the prophets prophesied by Baal And followed what can do no good. Jeremiah 2:9 Oh, I will go on accusing you--declares the Lord--And I will accuse your children's children! Jeremiah 2:10 Just cross over to the isles of the Kittim and look, Send to Kedar and observe carefully; See if aught like this has ever happened: Jeremiah 2:11 Has any nation changed its gods Even though they are no-gods? But My people has exchanged its glory For what can do no good. Jeremiah 2:12 Be appalled, O heavens, at this; Be horrified, utterly dazed!--says the Lord. Jeremiah 2:13 For My people have done a twofold wrong: They have forsaken Me, the Fount of living waters, And hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, Which cannot even hold water.
John 4:6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon. John 4:7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” John 4:8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) John 4:9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) John 4:10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” John 4:11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? John 4:12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?” John 4:13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, John 4:14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” John 4:19 “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. John 4:20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” John 4:21 Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. John 4:22 You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews. John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. John 4:24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:25 The woman said, “I know the Messiah is coming—the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”

The Sabbatical Year
1 The Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, 2 “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land that I give you, the land shall keep a Sabbath to the Lord. 3 For six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruits, 4 but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to…

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. 10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. (‭‭‭Psalms‬ ‭16‬‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Bread from Heaven (Exodus 16:27-35)
There is a time to go out and gather, and there is a time to stay put and eat; a time to work, and a time to rest.
Bread From Heaven, by Nigel Wynter On the seventh day some people went out to gather food, but they didn’t find any. The Lord said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to do what I have commanded and instructed you to do? Remember: The Lord has given you this day of rest as a holy day. That’s why he gives you enough food on the sixth day for two days. On the seventh day stay in your place—no one…

Prospering your Bosses
Same Wisdom for Joseph is the same wisdom god can give you - (To achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation)
The Train of thoughts: I miss Singapore so much lord, for the first time travelling, I really do.
I’ve felt this for sometime now.  Intentions: Enough to be a blessing to others  The How:
As I'm listening to the word, your word, transmitting time and space. I’m transcribing and writing it down. Honestly, making use of the fact / embracing myself. I can’t remember much of what pastor say. But I’m sure I'm not the only one haha. I understand the context, the idea, the concept and rephrases it, yet I didn't realise understanding the language is also important (so thank god for translators!) I hope it is of the same message. But in my wonderful mind, I am also able to help people understand it with parallels, sequences, concepts, basically in the way that person understands it best. A good writer understands pattern, but in words and thoughts and surely more, I’ve just started this but thank you for walking this journey with me. Just like a photographer, she understands what she sees by patterns, this includes colours, composition, timing etc in the theory these are called rules.
For Singaporeans: Probably why someone got me a complex book because my mind is rather complex. and she probably hope I discussed the book with her. But yet, it’s not time, because I was not a reader. But she tried. Everyone has a time, a pace even for wisdom to be. Do it at your own time with Jesus, don’t let others stress you out.
Phrases: Go lower than your capacity, when the lord has blessed it clearly. Do it. Check by tithing.
I do that by asking Five loaves and two fishes, it multiplied.  Listening to: Wisdom for Finance - Joseph Prince
Not quick way, not hasty way.

TOP 9 HABITS THAT WILL HELP YOU DISCONNECT FROM A HIGH TECHNOLOGY WORLD
Have you been staring at multiple screens all day, and wished that you could unplug for a little while? On average, every American spends about 10 hours a day in front of a laptop, tablet, or phone. We have become so dependent on technology that it started to replace real human interactions, with chats, likes, comments, and shares on our social media platforms.
In fact, recent research shows that social media have greatly influenced us to become ‘unhappier’ by comparing our lives to others based on what they post they are. If you are looking for a breather, a time to cultivate ‘real’ationships, and take a break from the fast-paced technological world, read on by clicking HERE for some top tips that we have compiled on how to completely disconnect to save ourselves.
