My friend is reading WoR and I reread the duel chapter and had this thought: One of the guys trying to cripple Adolin in a full disadvantage duel: "This isn't about Honor. This is about Punishment." Okay so I came upon the topic of masterbation on the mommy boards and I have some thoughts.

Masterbation is not a healthy habit. It does not benefit you in any way. To cultivate that habit only grows isolation, shame and lust into your life.

You will not die without it.

The habits and desires you feed grow.

Someone I follow on here once described it as an act of self-harm and that's a good way to think of it. It isn't adding anything to your life. well, nothing good anyway.

The idea that it is healthy and normal is so ridiculous. We all know the shame attached to it.

Is it easy to stop? Nope. But it is worth it.

Things that helped me: prayer and fasting. Develop your ability to say no to your flesh and learn to lean on Him in prayer for your desires.

Nothing that leaves you chained is healthy.

1) it's an interesting take that pro life people aren't almost on our own offering resources and support to women in crisis.

Raising a child is not punishment. It's an extremely warped view to think that killing the child is a moral position while painting not killing the child as a punishment.

Having a child is not a punishment, it is the natural consequence of reproduction.

Stop for a second and think about which side of the discussion is honoring the humanity of the child.

If you know you would rather have the baby killed than be pregnant, no matter your reasoning, you shouldn’t be having sex. If you would rather have the baby killed than be a father, no matter your reasoning, you shouldn’t be having sex.

Ugh, I forgot about Kaladin freezing up and being emotionally destroyed in shadesmar.

Had 4 glorious nights of baby girl sleeping 8-9 hrs at night.

The last two she woke up 3 times so like 3-4hr stretches.

I still feel kinda rested from those 4 nights though.
