Strobe is a joke character but she did make my friend cry for like 2 days when she died in rp so I guess she does have an impact or something LOLOL

STrobe is a super romantic high-energy FIEND who hates other women and wants to be One Of The Boys. Though she lacks common sense and a filter, she’s actually pretty intelligent when it comes to math, engineering, health science— all that jazz. Not very good in the English department though…

Strobe is known for getting in people’s business and holding grudges. If you wronged her once, even if it was megacycles ago, she still remembers it and is still plotting how to get back at you. And since she’s so nosy and curious and knows how to ask around and get good information, she knows exactly how to ruin your day… OR LIFE!!!! Maybe not that dramatic maybe not life but emotionally she’s pretty angry all the time lol

All in all basically a very unstable pick-me-girl who will have a vendetta against if you identify as a woman or instantly want to marry you if you’re a guy. She loves men btw she loves men a LOT…. Specifically BLITZWING… but it’s not mutual LOL

To elaborate on that random fact (and to explain why Blitzwing is in every SINGLE DRAWING) Strobe is compleeeeetely in love with Blitzwing and follows him around really wants him to like her but Blitzwing is too busy watching football and eating veiner schnitzel or something to notice idfk. Blitzwing really sees her as like a semi-annoying younger sister than a girlfriend (and plus I lowkey headcanon Blitzwing is just asexual + aromantic leaning in general THATS MY HOT TAKE he’d rather sing nursery rhymes and kill people than hold someone’s hand!!!) so would never date her she gets friendzoned constantly

Imagine Annabeth and Percy have a kid early, unplanned and it kinda fucks with their finances so Percy drops out of school to get a job so he can care for the kid and support Annabeth in school. At first he gets a job teaching kids sword fighting but then he hears about underwater welding which pays well because it’s dangerous but Percy is a child of the sea so it’s much less so for him. His boss is even willing to give him flexible hours which means Annabeth doesn’t have to take their kid to class anymore and they can actually afford daycare (why does is it the price of a mortgage nowadays???). A huge financial burden is lifted and Percy doesn’t mind the work so it’s good all the way around.

Fast forward to when Annabeth is done her masters in architecture and lands a job at a top firm. They’ve got savings and have Annabeth’s income to rely on. Percy heads back to school and finishes a degree in marine biology, going on to research some really niche topics like how underwater welding impacts the environment and shifting from there until he’s a well known expert in the field.

Just them finding their way. Supporting each other and landing on their feet no matter what

so to preface this, I have absolutely no interest in asylum/doctor AUs with Ghoap and/or Ghoap X Reader because my trauma stems from a psych ward. But, I do have some potential tidbits of knowledge you could use to write such a thing for anyone interested!

-the food at the psych ward I was in was uniquely terrible, so much so that their main complaint on Google Reviews was about patients getting food poisoning. This could be leveraged by Ghost to spike Johnny and/or Reader’s food with something, hiding the effects behind the usual ‘yeah the food sucks, just grit your teeth’ the other patients give.

-the main memory I have of the ward I was in was a therapy circle I did with a bunch of other patients. After explaining why I was placed there, all of them told me it was my own fault. I don’t think I need to spell out the delicious gaslighting potential this has for Johnny or a Reader. Maybe both of them are patients but Johnny is in cahoots with Ghost, and the two of them are working together to coax Reader into doing what they want?

-The inpatient people were kept on a separate floor. The fifth floor iirc. We never saw them, but one of my friends at the time spent over a month in inpatient and had absolutely nightmarish stories about it. Being locked down there, potentially including things like straitjackets or padded cells, would be a great way to torment and break a Reader or even Johnny.

-I was 12 going on 13 when I was sent to the ward, and they put me in a group of people at least twice my age. These individuals were actually dangerous to themselves and others. One good way to keep a Reader nice and dependent on Johnny and Ghost for protection would be doing the same, putting her in a group where she feels unsafe and alienated. Bonus points if one of said group tries to hurt her and Ghoap get to swoop in and save the day.

That’s pretty much all I had to say, thinking about the event too much gives me a migraine lol. Just wanted to offer up some writing fodder for anyone who wants it! Consider me tossing bits of bread and corn off the dock for the guppies of the lake to feast upon at their leisure

In regards to Tori doing fuuinjutsu with like five thousand extra steps, is there anything that her sealing style actually benefits from her way? Is she imbuing the technique with some unknown stability or is this a language barrier thing? Is her alien way of doing this scary to people? WHEN WILL WE SEE MINAKUSHI REACTING TO YOGURT FUUINJUTSU

tori tends to overdesign because the FIRST time around when she was learning, she couldn't manipulate her own chakra. this gets talked about a little in the castle chapter -- the more discrete pieces you put into a seal, the more chakra you lose as it moves through the seal. so most of the bigger and more complicated seals usually require the user to do some manipulating themselves of the chakra within the seal, to minimize that loss (that or you need to be a chakra powerhouse or get multiple people to input chakra). tori can't do that in plasticity, and also she's designing stuff for non-experts to use, so she compensates by a mixture of getting really, REALLY good at techniques to conserve input chakra, and then by hijacking other sources of chakra (like from yogurt. or from the poor idiot she's tattooing a seal onto).

unfortunately sometimes she also ends up just adding things to compensate for weakness as she goes instead of stepping back and trying to actually fix the base design, like sticking absurd amounts of tape on something. like, this part of the seal leaks chakra and i don't know why? i'll just make a NEW thing to funnel the chakra back in. it technically works but now she's made something that so complicated and weird that reproducing it will be challenging

so the benefits are that, for most of tori's seals, you can just slam chakra into them and the seal will do literally all the work, even for really big seals. you don't have to squat over it concentrating hard manipulating your own chakra. her brushwork looks like irreproducible nightmare fuel but actually she has an incredibly good understanding of chakra use efficiency and how to manipulate it without losing anything. but also. what the fuck is going on here

kushina is of the mindset "well, if it works, it works" so she'll tease tori but not actually give much feedback besides "that is going to be SUCH a pain to make again, you know." but i think minato is the type of person who is like "okay, it's good that works, but we can always be improving and streamlining--" so seeing something with like fifty extra brush strokes makes his brain go AAAAAH. if tori was interested in defending her work, she'd point out that her way has its own benefits (more prep but easier and faster to execute, she could pass it on to chump chunin number 2, etc), and i think minato could be swayed even if looking at the seal gives him anxiety. but tori's deeply paranoid and distrustful of authority when she initially gets to konoha, so that type of conversation takes a while to happen

also hijacking non-human chakra is REALLY groundbreaking, but she is being forced to do some reinventing of the wheel, so to speak, and the intermediate steps on this line of research & design look...... bonkers. really, aggressively bonkers

Lightning, water, and fire! Like forever before the plot starts. By the time the plot starts, the lightning and fire deities have been subjected to punishment by the two gods that picked them.

Oh (the fire deity) is first to be punished. They basically decide that since they're going to live for a long time, gotta set some long time goals! And they opt to be the wrath of the gods since most of the other deities are too 'soft' in their opinion. So Oh just. Smites humans. This isn't really a /good/ thing and in their defense mentally, they do it to help Ymber since he's the softest of them all. So their punishment by the gods is to be split in two, effectively halving the power of one into two. (Now they are in a male and a female body and use both male and female pronouns apart since they together make they but apart it feels weird to be they. But prior to the split they use they/them. Also the split bodies go by the names Ohiwe and Ohime.)

Fulj is the second to be punished. She falls in love with a mortal woman and that is a crime according to the gods. Mortals and immortals are not to be together and it will only bring suffering to both sides. So her punishment is her memories of the woman are stripped and her body basically broken to the point she can't remain physical all the time.

Ymber, unfortunately, is the one who blames himself for the discoveries and punishments. If he had only tried to restrain Oh more then maybe they would have chilled out and stopped before being punished. If he had only tried to persuade Fulj to not continue seeing the mortal woman so often perhaps she wouldn't have been punished. So he's just increasing the guilt on his shoulders every day that he remains unpunished since the elder gods have both laid down to rest. They can't enforce their laws anymore and none of the deities are keen on harming one another at this point. They just want to continue existing in peace.

hi I am still not normal about how we never get much of an epilogue for Emily and Corvo in the second game we are told how the rule turned out and that Emily is the beloved empress now but nothing beyond that and I get that the entire game is very much built on that I get that the first game we have close relationship with Emily and become fond of the staff that work with the Loyalists so we feel alone because we do not quite see eye to eye with our allies and all we have left is this little innocent child that sees Corvo as someone who can do no wrong in this world which is strongly contrasted with the second game where Emily (or Corvo) has few trusted allies that they can actually rely on and it feels like a group of almost-friends working to dismantle the conspiracy but at the very end of it all Emily is all alone, even her return to the Tower is so much more grim, her taking down Delilah, the entirety of Dunwall- it all feels so incredibly and thoroughly isolating, she is all Alone now, and maybe that's why it bothers me so much to see the story end so abrupty.

it would've been so, so poetic if both the first and the second game ended with Corvo and Emily embracing

Minor thing that really irks me is when people treat the femc route in p3 portable as like the lesser story or like it’s a fanfic where nothing that happens in it is the “true” canon like. Bitch. The femc and everything that happens in her version of the story is just as canon as the male protagonist and everything that happens in his story. And there’s literally been so many fucking versions of p3 at this point like the base game, fes, portable, the movies, stage plays, reload, as well as spinoffs and manga and they all do things differently. I don’t see anyone acting like the base game is more canon than, say, reload so why do they do this with portable?
