So, I am currently planning a new fic/story in the Pokémon universe, that is situated in the past, similar to legends arceus, but it is playing in a region I'm currently planning out. I want to post it here, but I want to ask, would you want to see/read about fakemons that I would design myself or would you rather have only official Pokémon in the fic? (if original fakemons are accepted or even wanted, I'll probably open a side blog with the dex entries and reference pictures)

Pokémon worldbuilding note: I’ve been seeing a lot of like really cool Pokémon “breeds” with character design lately and tbh… I kinda wanna include that in my comic. Like legitimately, of the two things I think make the most sense in recent games: X&Y with their mega evolutions and sun&moon with their alternate forms/typings makes so much sense… also just for diversity that is a genius move (shinys literally exist too so like come on, it makes sense)

just saw someone remark “where is the botw team” and like. they’re taking ten years to make another zelda game and like… as it should be! game devs in franchises SHOULD take ten years to make each installment, they should be paid 100k a year, and they should work only five hours a day on it god bless!

Writing idea for the Submas fandom:
I like the idea that when Ingo gets yeeted into the past by Giratina, the spacial distortion/rend wasn’t an even split (due to the legendary being frenzied by Volo (aka the blondest YOLO boy in the game)) so when it takes Ingo, Giratina manages to grab ‘most’ of Ingo, but Emmet was holding onto Ingo when this occurred so it cleaved off Ingo’s memories and left them in the present while the rest of him went to the past.
So picture Emmet standing in horror at the sight of his brother being taken- but wait! He’s not fully gone tho!
His memories are frozen in time, just standing there in front of Emmett perfectly still. An apparition, a facsimile of his bother akin to a holographic projection. Unmoving, unblinking; just frozen in Ingo’s signature battle pose as he prepares to face the entity that has already taken his body.
The ghost haunts Emment on a daily basis, but at night he stops by while closing up the subway to have a chat with him. Swearing he will figure out where the rest of Ingo went.

The Kanto region in Pokémon being named after a real, actual place in Japan is a cool detail but also super weird/funny when you remember the other regions have made up fantasy names like Unova, Sinnoh, Galar, Alola etc.
Imagine a speculative fiction world where the regions/states have cool made up fantasy names like Gilhord, Malneria, Celeron, Silavara etc and also New York.

The Interregional Pokémon League Association (IPLA) holds yearly seminars for various type specialists from across the Pokémon world. These specialists usually include gym leaders, E4 members, type specific champions and professors, but occasionally can branch out to include Pokémon Rangers as well.
The purpose of these seminars is to discuss the rules and regulations of competitive battling, as well as any legislation regarding their preferred Pokémon type.

no evolutionary stones without permission? that seems a bit backwards
“There’s a reason for it. It’s to protect our subjects. You see, the walls of the Underdark are lined with the raw ore needed to make evolution stones. However, that ore is incredibly powerful; it’s gotta be to change the form of a Pokémon and to give them additional strength. If a Pokémon was to use this ore without consulting us first, the effects could be dire. Their body could form horrific mutations due to the raw power and energy emanating from the ore, or worse they could potentially die. We’ve had a couple of incidents of this happening, which is why this law was established.” They look a bit solemn from this discussion.
“Anyway, when a Pokémon asks us to use an evolution stone, we have to get the ore cut into a more reasonable shape. I have no idea how my folks are able to do it but they’ve been able to find a way to do it. That’s actually why they’re not around right now. I have no idea where they head off to but they usually come back with a load of resources for the Underdark. Honestly, it makes me damn thankful I don’t have to evolve. That just seems like a hassle. Why would I want to change? I’m perfect.”

You know, sometimes I hear people talking about how Hisuian Pokémon may have gone instinct and trying to speculate how they might end up in later games.
When the answer is pretty damn obvious. Like, we don’t know how big the planet actually is. Even if we were to do, like, a one-to-one Earth-To-Pokémon World, then, like, out of 9 generations, 4 of them were in 4 regions of the same country.
The planet has so many continents and larger landmasses we couldn’t even imagine, and it seems to me that we don’t know which Pokémon exist there. Like, it’s entirely within reason that what we call Hisuian Sneasel or Hisuian Braviary could totally be the local species of, I dunno, Pokémon’s version Iceland or something. They don’t necessarily need to have gone extinct, they could’ve migrated, or there was some divergent/convergent evolution over the decades. Like the Sneasel in Hisui eventually adapted into Johtonian Sneasel in current day Sinnoh, but someplace else far far away perhaps they never had to change.
I just think there’s sometimes just a general lack of imagination or lack of imagination of scope. So many creatures we don’t know about in nations we never think about in the real world, it makes perfect sense for it to be the same in the Pokémon world.

Not mr rain probably having to go to horn with kabu because kabu has family business ( and because he has to tell his family to stop bullying him because he’s single ) mr rains been there before, that’s how he got Lucario, he been they’re multiple times with Lucario to, mr rain goes there a lot of Lucario actually so he’s really used to being there.
Honen I’m guessing?
I don’t know much about it! But it sounds like a cute couple’s trip hm? :3 I’m sure there are lots of fun things to do in that region!

In the ancient times the native Unovans; the pioneers of Pokémon taming lived separated.
Individual tribes with individual customs and beliefs.
In one of these tribes two brothers had a dream.
They dreamed of uniting the tribes of unova.
They traveled and met all kinds of people; learning from each tribe.
Their dream however seemed impossible,
Until one day they found a cave.
The cave lay home to a dragon.
A dragon the brothers named Unova.
Unova was kind and loved the two brothers like family.
Unova helped the brothers unite the tribes of the region.
However as the brothers reigned over the newly born region they began to fight.
They fought on how to beat rule the country.
One brother ruled through the flexibility of ideals.
The other brother ruled through the rigidness of truth.
The two brothers split the region in two.
Eventually their relationship came to a point where they declared open war.
Unova was conflicted and wished the brothers wouldn’t fight.
So it split itself in two.
One half to teach a brother about the needs of truth.
Reshiram
The other to teach a brother about the needs of ideals.
Zekrom
However the dragon didn’t split itself perfectly, as it left behind a third portion of its power.
The soulless leftovers

Palworld Packs a Punch (and Maybe a Lawsuit?) With One Million Sales, "Pokémon-with-Guns" Style
Remember Palworld, the “Pokémon-with-guns” game that sent Twitter ablaze with hype earlier this week? Well, it turns out the buzz wasn’t all sunshine and Poké Balls. While the game stormed out of the gate with over a million sales across Xbox, PC, and Game Pass, it also ignited a fiery debate surrounding its monster designs.
Some eagle-eyed trainers noticed some uncanny similarities between…
