Astro observations: celebrity edition part 2 aka latest news roundup
⭐️ Dua Lipa announced on her instagram that she's actually a Gemini rising as opposed to Libra. Now my Gemini detector told me that ages ago but I accepted the Libra rising just because it's my default token "plain good looking and polite" sign BUT it actually now makes much more sense in terms of house placements. Her Venus is now cazimi in the 3rd house - house associated with creative writing and thinking. The ever-changing and fast-moving Mercury is now in her 4th house of family and home situation and she's actually been always moving a lot between England and Albania. That healthy domicile Mercury as well as the Sun-Venus conjunction in the 3rd shows her close connection to family overall.
Funnily enough, her discovery took place during Mercury station in her 4th house. Talk about finding out your true roots (astrological, in that instance).
⭐️ We also now have the birth time of Elon Musk, who turns out to be a Cancer rising. Jupiter in his 5th house of children now makes perfect sense with his 11 kids (and probably counting).
⭐️ If you're wondering why Ariana Grande is the way she is, look no further than Moon conjunct Jupiter - aka her 7th house ruler multiply; as well as both being square to the Sun. Usually Sun square Jupiter can point to legal issues and excess while Sun square Moon often points to broken families. Now add that together and you have… a homewrecker, yaaay!
⭐️ I was thinking a lot about Blink 182 and Tom Delonge (his chart resembles mine a bit) due to him rejoining the band last year and now releasing a new Blink album. Natally, he has a retrograde Gemini Mars so I looked at his progressed chart to see the stationary period. Turns out his progressed Mars stationed direct early 2014, followed by progressed Sun entering Aquarius. Early following year the band announced that he left permanently. One of the things he focused on was research on the UFOs and work with the government. Of course, keep in mind progressed Mars stations for quite a while and his issues with the band lasted throughout the whole 2014 so it makes sense that the final split occured a year later. And why Mars? Well it can literally speak about our focus in life and our direction - where we put our energy. Not to mention Mars rules his MC so it brought him a massive turn in his career. So makes sense.
⭐️ Britney Spears just released a memoir book. Putting aside the questionable fact on who really wrote it, it stirred up a lot of drama. Her chart is one big mine but today I'm only focusing on current transits: she just had an eclipse in her first house of Libra. That eclipse landed right on her Pluto, which natally squares Venus (talking about toxic relationships and exposing them). Pluto itself is making last hits to those degrees as well as it's stationing direct in the late Capricorn. Interestingly I think Jupiter being in her 8th house can point to this as well - it lights up all the secrets and talks about working on past traumas. Now, you're also probably thinking, why was she involved with so many iffy people in her life? A lot of things in her chart point to that but what always struck me was her 7th house ruler - a malefic Mars - being in her 12th house of enemies. And it squares Neptune so they're also liars and exploiters.
⭐️ There's been A TON of celebrity breakups during this Venus retrograde season but I'm gonna quickly focus on Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner because their charts are an interesting example. Their synastry is mostly having planets in sister signs but this also means that if one of them gets hit with a transit, so is the other. Involve Saturn in that transit and you get trouble. Saturn is currently in early Pisces, where Sophie has some of her planets in the 12th house (loss, enemies). Her Mars (disputes, cutting) is at 4° of Pisces while Joe's Mars is at 7° Virgo - right opposite that. Saturn transit stirred up some proper drama: and Saturn is also coldness, being restrained and cut off. On top of that they also have their rising signs in the opposite signs of Aries and Libra and we just started having eclipses in those signs earlier this year.
Not to mention Joe's Leo Sun got hit by Venus retrograde and a Uranus square. Among other stuff.
FUN FACT: according to my research they met for the first time in October of 2016 when Jupiter was in Libra. So, interestingly, not only they had Jupiter going through their angles but Jupiter in their Davidson chart is in Libra.
⭐️ Taylor Swift is currently going through her 10th house profection year (Leo). It would make sense then that her career would take a turn this year considering that Venus was retrograding in Leo. Of course as it turned out she had a massive succes with her ongoing world tour, which is said to become the highest grossing tour of all time.
⭐️ A Vogue article popped up about Rita Ora's and Taika Waititi's wedding that took place a year earlier (they kept all the info and date private until now). Jupiter played a huge role in them getting married (as it often does, especially for a couple like them, who have it strong in their charts, which I wrote about HERE). At the time of their wedding Jupiter was at 8° Aries, which for Rita is that sweet spot between her Sagittarius Sun and Venus (4° and 10° respectively) and Leo Jupiter (13°) - as it completed a grand trine in her chart. Transiting Sun was also 12° of Leo, highlighting that trine even more.
Man I love astrology.
For Taika it was pretty prominent as well although his Jupiter aspects were more sign-based. He had a Jupiter return; his Moon is somewhere in the middle of Sagittarius so he received these fire trines as well. Interestingly, at the time of the wedding Saturn was at 22° Aquarius - exactly opposite his Leo Sun but also sextile his natal Jupiter. So for him it had a bit of a Saturnian flavour that called for stability and maturity.
⭐️ Similarly, I just read the other day that Frances Bean Cobain got married earlier this month. She has a Venus-Jupiter conjunction on top of her Virgo ascendant (interestingly Kurt had the trine between Venus and Jupiter - so seems like a family pattern). Also interestingly, transiting Jupiter is currently trining both her Venus and Jupiter (on the day of the wedding it was trining Venus exact), thereby her natal pattern got repeated. Jupiter is also her 7th house ruler.
Her now husband, Riley Hawk is having a nice transit of that Jupiter over his Taurus Moon - and remember, Moon rules the women in your family as well as your wife.

Thursday, April 11th 2024 Sun in Aries♈️🔥Moon in Taurus ♉️🌎 and Gemini ♊️💨
Hey, did you know that La La land is a real place? Yep, it’s called Neptune. Did you wake up with your imagination on overdrive? Well, try not to let it get the best of you, it’s just the Moon in Taurus sextile Neptune in Pisces. Instead of overthinking the worst, try a creative project today. If you’re stuck in the daily grind, maybe think of your favorite song and let that fill your brain. The point here is to indulge in the high road of Neptunian creativity, not the low road because today, reality might try to play a trick on you.
The Moon will then be void of course for a couple of hours before she enters Gemini. Our emotional body enters the world of curiosity and communication. Gemini is ruled by Mercury and we all know he’s in a backwards dance. You can still take on your world, just be conscious and thorough when going about your day.
The Gemini Moon goes on to trine Pluto in Aquarius that could bring on intense feels and maybe even some encounters with destiny. This transit tends to uncover deep hidden truths and bring them up. Embrace your journey of self discovery.
Later tonight, Mercury backs up right into the Sun in Aries creating a Cazimi or basically, a Mercurial eclipse. Tackle those mental acrobats in a positive way because when you do, the creative genius might just come out. Epiphanies everywhere! Watch for signs or synchronicities to help you along the way.
The Gemini Moon will also sextile Venus in Aries. This will help us wrap up the day with some extra love and laughter. Stay in and cuddle or hit the town with your bestie. Either way, this is about spreading the love!
It’s an interesting and mind bending kind of day. Stay the course with love in your heart for yourself and for others and all will be well!

The Sun moves into "serious-minded" report:
This week we have the Sun entering "serious-minded" Capricorn on Thursday, December 21st. On the same day we have the (winter solstice), the official beginning of winter. On Friday, December 22nd, we have a (Mercury Cazimi in Capricorn), where the Sun in Capricorn will conjunct Mercury in Capricorn. This excellent transit to reset, restart a specific cycle. It is the (heart of the Sun) taking place at 12:50 PM, CST. Look for messages, increased synchronicities, advanced communications even with (Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn). The Cazimi is in an (Earth sign of Capricorn), that is practical, grounded, serious-minded, and ambitious.
You always want to pay attention when the Sun changes zodiac signs. There is a dramatic shift in energies between the Sun in "expansive" Sagittarius to "practical" Capricorn. The key is to identify the pattens, cycles, habits, traits, and the characteristics that impact your natal chart & solar charts. In Western Astrology (Tropical) is based on the Sun position and the seasons. All of the zodiac will be impacted by this transit depending on the astrological house placements. The Sun is a (personal planet/star), where you want to analyze where you have Capricorn both in the position of the planets, and the position of the Houses. That will provide direct insight on how this impacts you.
The Sun is the vital principle, the life force. It is the giver of life. Sun is hot, positive, fiery and authoritative. It is the element of individuality, what you are all your life, and his place in your horoscope tells where you shine the best , and where you can earn your success. The Sun is your spirit and your sense of ego/paternal image.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn & the 10th House of--career, the occupation, career acquisition, accolades, the profession, business, standing in the world, sphere of influence, professional reputation, honors, awards, fame & fortune, authority figures, the boss, credit, status, and recognition in the career. This is a great time to look where you have your natal MC or (Mid-Heaven) and see if your career sector is being lighted up or if you have planets in the 10th House.
Capricorn is an (Earth Sign) and is considered (Cardinal Sign) in the modes/modality.
Earth signs include—Taurus, Virgo, & Capricorn.
Cardinal signs include—Aries, Libra, Cancer, & Capricorn.
Team Capricorn characteristics, include being--stern, task-oriented, grounded, practical, ambitious, strong, always climbing in the career, serious-minded, determined, able to overcome obstacles, plan every step, powerful, concentrative, laborious, forceful, cautious, conservative, thrifty, scrupulous, trustworthy, detailed thinkers, fatalistic, stubborn, domineering, make good friends, although bad enemies, brooding and egotistic.
Cosmic Tip:
Team Capricorn is a grounded (Earth sign), that puts an emphasis on being responsible, ambitious, powerful, and climbing the company latter. Capricorn is ruled by the 10th House of—career, the occupation, sphere influence, status, your professional reputation, having authority figures give you the green-light to advance in your career. Check in with your career sector and see if you're content with your progress. With Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn, excellent to revise, review, self-scout, rebuild, and restructure where you want to be in your career.
On the solar chart we will have the Sun, Mercury, Pluto, all in Capricorn forming a (stellium). You could find greater purpose in your career, recognizing your talents & skills, while others take notice. Being ambitious pays dividends, putting in the work to attract a promotion and reach new heights in your career sector. With Pluto in Capricorn there has been a transformational shift taking place on some level.
Of course, you have to include Saturn (the natural ruler to Capricorn), which is currently touring dreamy Pisces. Here Saturn requires discipline, being task-oriented, playing by the rules, regulations, and terms & conditions. While Pisces wants to escape down the rabbit hole, Saturn has to work extra hard in order to keep things on point. Saturn likes to produce rewards for those who do the work, make the sacrifice, and dedicate themselves.
Check in with your Sun, Moon, Rising/Ascendant signs. Where you have Capricorn, Saturn and 10th House in your natal chart. Also review where you have dominant placements in Capricorn in your natal chart.
Enjoy the "practical" Sun in Capricorn!
Keep an eye on the Mercury (Cazimi) on Friday, December 23rd. See what comes through during this influence. --Astrological House Astrology. Capricorn Zodiac by Tashina Suzuki

Energy Update: July 2023
Tumblr media
July is a “5” Universal Month [7 (July) + 7 (2023) = 14 = 1 + 4 =5]. 5 is a very dynamic number that tends to represent a big change of course or point of conflict. This is represented in the astrology in the month as well as we experience multiple planetary shifts and our lunar nodes also shift signs during the month. There are a lot of moving pieces and it may be hard to find solid ground as we slip and slide our way into the beginning of summer.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun and Mercury in Cancer, Venus and Mars in Leo, Jupiter Uranus and the North Node in Taurus, retrograde Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, and retrograde Pluto in Capricorn. By the end of July the Sun will have entered Leo, Mercury and Mars will have entered Virgo, and the lunar nodes will have entered Aries and Libra respectively. Additionally, Venus will retrograde in Leo.
For a month with relatively few aspects (number-wise), July is going to pack a punch. We will never be the same. This is, from the perspective of linear time, always true but in a month full of shifts and heavy hitters, some people may find their lives unrecognizable come August.
The Nitty Gritty
All eyes are on our lunar nodes and the number of strong aspects that they will make with the Sun, Mercury, and Mars over the course of the month ahead. When the lunar nodes (which always move retrograde – or backward – through the horoscope) switch signs, it is one of the big cosmic gong crashes that demarcate time. The lunar nodes represent the mathematical points in the sky with which the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth can come together to create eclipses. Our eclipse cycles ruled by Taurus and Scorpio are ending and we are entering the territory of Aries and Libra. The dichotomy of the individual “Me” versus the collective “We” will be at the forefront as we transverse this change during July. Expect these energies to reemerge later in the year as we enter eclipse season.
But first, we begin the month with Mercury cazimi as the Sun meets up with Mercury at 09° Cancer. The first will be a very inspired day as the Sun and Mercury also make a sweet sextile with Jupiter in Taurus. If you need to do some positive manifestation – particularly if it has to do with wealth or accumulation of things – this will be your day. This is a great day for intention setting or goal orienting of all kinds – remember to think big!
The weekend leading up to our full moon at 11° Capricorn on Monday is going to feel like a lot if you’re not ready for it. It might feel like a lot even if you are. Capricorn has been under a lot of pressure since the beginning of 2020 and is now dealing with Saturn, their planetary ruler, in retrograde and the recent ingress of Pluto backward into Capricorn from Aquarius. Sometimes we need to pay the piper. The sooner that we get up and do what needs doing, the easier this all will be. Saturn may be out to lunch but that doesn’t mean that you can skimp on the work – don’t say that I didn’t warn you. Venus in Leo will be square to Uranus in Taurus during this energy – this is the first pass of this aspect during Venus’ pre-retrograde shadow period. There may be some money troubles or overspending that needs accounting for. Paying the piper might be quite literal in this instance. Know that Venus will return square off with Uranus twice more: a second time while she moves backward during her retrograde cycle in August and a third time when she moves forward again come September. What is coming up now may be a portent of what’s to come. The week of 7/4 may be on the quiet side as we will only experience two Mercury aspects: a square with Chiron in Aries on 7/4 and a sextile with Uranus on 7/7. Use this downtime to integrate the energies of the weekend. Ground and center if you can. With Uranus involved, the energy is likely to be electric and some may find themselves unable to sleep or slow down. Heads up to those prone to mania or insomnia, this astrological weather is highly indicative or exasperating those types of problems.
On 7/10, we get our first big hit of the month on our lunar nodal energy as Mars enters Virgo and immediately forms a trine to our North Node in Taurus and a sextile to our South Node in Scorpio. Mars in Virgo can be fairly nitpicky and critical so some people may find their feelings hurt under this energy – especially, I suspect, if they are hiding from some part of themselves or their journey. Mercury enters Leo the very next day on Tuesday and squares off with the nodes as well which shows that things are going to get a bit testy. Be careful not to say something that you cannot take back as Mercury in Leo can be a bit tactless. The Sun in Cancer is also square to Chiron (exact on Wednesday), so old wounds are close to the surface.
The secret here is, as always, to use this energy to fix problems but when there is more than one person involved, there are no guarantees. Remember you cannot fix something with somebody who doesn’t think that a situation needs fixing, or somebody who isn’t willing to meet you halfway. Focus on healing yourself instead of trying to change others during this time, if you can. By the end of the week, the Sun in Cancer will be sextile to Uranus in Taurus – any Sun-Uranus aspect is a Red Flag Day; its worth remembering that Uranus is in Taurus and what bulls do with red flags.
Lie low for sure on Friday and maybe all week if you can. Unless all persons involved are willing to sit down and be honest and objective (Mars in Virgo), nothing will get done. Any important conversation that can wait probably should. And stay away from explosives of all kinds. Maybe especially explosive people. You know the ones.
This is all leading into a new moon at 24° Cancer on Monday 7/17 which is also the day that our lunar nodes switch from Taurus/Scorpio to Aries/Libra. Aries is sign #1 and hopelessly self-involved (by design, this is not a criticism) – we will all need to rectify how individuality impacts our own lives. The combination of new-ness of the day (new moon plus new lunar nodes) is a positive double-whammy for starting projects or just wiping the slate clean. Also note the cardinality of the day (Cancer, Aries, and Libra being three of the four cardinal signs) – go for it. Take active steps towards what you want to bring forth into this world.
Again, we get some downtime to process these shifts but things will heat up as we enter the weekend. The Sun in Cancer opposes retrograde Pluto in Capricorn on Friday along with Mercury in Leo meeting up in trine with Chiron in Aries. This is a revisitng of sorts – one which has some pain associated with it. Work your way through the pain rather than running from it – Mars in Virgo is opposed to retrograde Saturn in Pisces, this is your sign to stop avoiding that problem.
The Sun in Cancer squares off with the lunar nodes on Saturday the 22nd before entering Leo which shows that our egos might be getting in the way. Where can we think more big picture? Immature Leo energy can be very narcissistic and small-minded but we always get a choice. Try leaning into the Universal Heart energy of mature Leo and take a walk in somebody else’s shoes for an afternoon. I’m not saying that you have to try to empathize with that TERF next door, start with your partner, perhaps. Or somebody else that you care about. Where are you only thinking about yourself? Where are they only thinking about themselves?
Venus retrogrades at 28° Leo on Sunday 7/23 which is the other big event of the month. I wrote an entire post about this already but I will summarize by pointing out that Venus will make two squares to planets in Taurus (Jupiter and Uranus) and trines with Chiron in Aries. This is the time to do less – as in, don’t overdo it. The way that this will show up in personal lives will be different for everyone but some examples are: don’t jump too fast into new relationships (big R or little r), don’t overspend, don’t overeat or overdrink or insert your indulgence of choice here. You can read more about this Venus retrograde cycle here.
The last week of July will be quieter. Mercury will meet up with retrograde Venus on Thursday 7/27 – Mercury and Venus have been interacting in retrograde with each other since January of 2022. We need to learn to think and feel simultaneously – so many of us can only live in our hearts OR in our brains – we are being challenged to do both. Mercury makes an exact trine with our North Node in Aries on Friday but Venus never quite makes it – that’s telling. Thought is still winning. Where can you balance this by being more in your heart?
Mercury enters Virgo on Friday. Virgo is one of the two home signs of Mercury and is also home to our planet of action, Mars, during this time. This should give us some energy to do the work ahead of us for August and our Venus retrograde that is to come.
7/1 – Sun conjunct Mercury 09° Cancer, Sun in Cancer sextile Jupiter in Taurus, Mercury in Cancer sextile Jupiter in Taurus 7/2 – Venus in Leo square Uranus in Taurus 7/3 – Full moon 11° Capricorn 7/4 – Mercury in Cancer square Chiron in Aries 7/7 – Mercury in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus 7/10 – Mercury in Cancer opposed retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, Mars enters Virgo, Mars in Virgo trine North Node in Taurus, Mars in Virgo sextile South Node in Scorpio 7/11 – Mercury enters Leo, Mercury in Leo square North Node in Taurus and South node in Scorpio (fixed t-square) 7/12 – Sun in Cancer square Chiron in Aries 7/14 – Sun in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus 7/17 – New moon 24° Cancer, Mercury in Leo square Jupiter in Taurus, lunar nodes enter Aries/Libra 7/20 – Sun in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces, Mars in Virgo opposed retrograde Saturn in Pisces 7/21 – Sun in Cancer opposed retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, Mercury in Leo trine Chiron in Aries 7/22 – Sun in Cancer square North Node in Aries and South Node in Libra (cardinal grand cross), Sun enters Leo 7/23 – Mercury in Leo square Uranus in Taurus, Venus retrogrades 28° Leo 7/27 – Mercury conjunct retrograde Venus 28° Leo 7/28 – Mercury in Leo trine North Node in Aries and sextile South Node in Libra, Mercury enters Virgo

April 2023 Important Dates
Tumblr media
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's April Forecast, hosted by Chris Brennan, Austin Coppock, and guest host Robert Weinstein. Mundane recap: Pluto's ingress into Aquarius heralds the integration of AI-generated text and images into larger parts of life, impacting industries, job markets, warfare, and more. The TikTok ban bill is another manifestation of Pluto's power struggle significations. Saturn in Pisces has also hinted at some of the upcoming themes: the recent banking crisis and a shift in public policy re: covid. The Saturn-Uranus cycle has served as an indicator to economic booms & busts, with eclipses especially igniting this--the 1929 stock market crash happened with the Nodes on the Taurus-Scorpio axis, and the FTX crash can be seen as a final crisis from Saturn square Uranus around an eclipse. Chris predicts eclipses will continue to affect finance. In popular culture, Everything Everywhere All At Once won many awards and was released during the Pisces stellium, which thematically fits.
Additionally, many planets change signs and put themselves in aspect to Saturn or Pluto for the first time since the outer planets entered these new signs, setting the tone for the next few years (or decades, in the case of Pluto). We've got a lot of beginnings and motion with the cardinal sign emphasis (we begin the month with an Aries stellium and Mars having just entered Cancer, and end it with an Aries eclipse).
April 3rd - Mercury enters Taurus From here Mercury squares Pluto, sextiles Saturn & Mars, conjoins an eclipse point and approaches Uranus, putting it in a difficult position to do the planting & planning to which the first decan of Taurus is normally conducive. Slow down and be methodical about what we're doing. Between Pluto's underground machinations and Uranus's unpredictability, it's hard for us to make decisions. In the sign of Taurus this will almost certainly have financial implications as well. Mercury will start slowing down around the 10th or 11th, with the retrograde shadow beginning at 5Taurus soon after an eclipse. Funnily enough, he will retrograde over these same degrees later in the year.
April 6th - Full Moon in Libra Here's the chart:
Tumblr media
The Moon is at 16Libra, with the Sun within 4 degrees of conjunction to Jupiter (♈). The Moon is coming off a square with Mars (♋), part of a larger shift towards tension in cardinal signs during the Red Planet's transit. Chiron at 15Aries is very close to the Sun (conjunction) & Moon (opposition). The Moon's ruler Venus has just left a conjunction with Uranus, and in her domicile of Taurus, indicates some fervent and moderately successful attempts at stabilizing matters. We may also find stability through contracts and deals, which are associated with the second decan of Libra. Venus is also approaching Jupiter, whose proximity to the Sun makes him combust (too close to the Sun to be visible) and less able to provide the optimism & reassurance we seek. Alternately, hopeful events may be happening behind the scenes while our optimist planet is invisible for 2-4 weeks.
April 10th - Selected auspicious election
Tumblr media
This occurs around 2:10PM local time, with Leo rising and Ascendant ruler the Sun in the 9th whole sign house, which for a day chart is extremely fortuitous. It takes advantage of the Sun-Jupiter cazimi about to occur, with the former in exaltation making things even more auspicious. The Moon in Sagittarius applies to a trine with domicile lord Jupiter. Venus is in the last degrees of Taurus, so Leo rising charts earlier in the month can take advantage of her presence in earlier degrees. 9th house topics (Jupiter) include education, travel, higher learning and publishing, while 10th house topics with Venus can indicate art & creativity. With the Moon in the 5th house this can also be good for leisure or fun & games.
April 11th - Venus enters Gemini, Sun-Jupiter conjunction (♈) The Jupiter cazimi (exact conjunction to Sun) occurs around 21-22Aries: there is still something to believe in. Not only is this fortuitous as a heightening of the greater benefic's energies, but the Sun is also in exaltation. Think optimism, expansion, and hope (Jupiter) and doing something at a level of excellence (exalted Sun). This is the seed point for new ideas, leadership and following your own path. Unfortunately the next week brings a damper on otherwise great events.
Upon entering Gemini, Venus immediately trines Pluto (♒) and soon after squares Saturn (♓), the last major aspects leading up into the eclipse. Venus trine Pluto in air signs can signal intensifying personal relationships as communication delves deeper, or perhaps enjoying the new technologies that are otherwise scary. However, Pluto is rarely light and Saturn makes things significantly heavier. Venus square Saturn indicates significant boundaries or obstacles in personal relationships, something that may keep the relationship from happening at all. In Austin's words, Saturn either locks you out or locks you in. This is also the time when Mercury starts slowing down to a speed slower than average in preparation for retrograde (figuratively tiptoeing up towards Uranus and deciding to turn around).
April 20th - Lunar eclipse in Aries, Sun enters Taurus This is the first eclipse both of the year and in the Aries-Libra axis, but we're not totally out of the woods yet for fixed signs.
Tumblr media
The eclipse has a very close out-of-sign square to Pluto, and immediately after, the Moon ingresses into Taurus and squares Pluto, as does the Sun soon later. We'll get insight into what the next 20 years of Pluto in Aquarius has in store. Eclipses have indicated dramatic shifts in leadership since the earliest days of astrology, and Austin says in Aries this indicates actual heads of state. This lunar mansion/nakshatra is also associated with medicine, the public figure(s) in question may be in that field. Pluto at 0Aquarius (degree where pandemic lockdown measures intensified at various times) weighs in via a sextile to the moon, and this eclipse is also square the US Sibly chart's Pluto with Mars, eclipse ruler, on the US Sun. Thus Chris and Robert both expect significant financial events during this upcoming eclipse season.
April 21st - Mercury stations retrograde in Taurus This station occurs closely conjunct Uranus, so technological snafus and freak accidents are certainly in order. Mercury in Taurus helps the trains run on time, so we can expect further disruption and chaos on that front. Avoid messing with electricity if you can, and generally we may feel a shock to the collective nervous system. The Sun-Mercury conjunction marking the retrograde's halfway point will occur around May 1st, so we can expect to start moving towards a resolution then. On May 5th we get the answering eclipse to this one, Mercury stationing direct on the 15th, and Jupiter entering Taurus soon after. These events in mid-May will help stabilize things, though Mars will form a T-square with Jupiter and Uranus... Overall we feel eclipses for a couple weeks on either side. Pay attention to the parts of your chart where the eclipses occur: new beginnings and endings are in order as the nodes move!

FEBRUARY 2024 ASTROLOGY
In February 2024, the cosmic scene brings fresh vibes. Mercury in Aquarius stirs up creative thinking but may clash with existing ideas. The New Moon on February 9th at 20º Aquarius marks new beginnings, but watch out for surprises. Mars joins Aquarius on February 13th, adding assertiveness with potential for intensity in relationships.
Venus enters Aquarius on February 16th, adding a unique touch to love and aesthetics, intensified by meetings with Pluto and Mars. As the Sun moves into Pisces on February 18th, dreamy energy sets in, though there's a need to balance imagination and responsibility. Mercury follows suit on February 23rd, enhancing creative communication.
The Full Moon on February 24th in Virgo emphasizes practicality, offering a mix of harmonious and challenging aspects. Throughout February, find the balance between new ideas and tradition, dreaminess and practicality, and independence and cooperation.
MERCURY ENTERS AQUARIUS
February 4th, 2024 - Feb 23rd, 2024
As Mercury enters Aquarius, the realm of innovative thinking and humanitarian ideals, a mental shift occurs. Communication takes on an air of detachment and objectivity, fostering open-mindedness. The conjunction with Pluto on February 5th adds depth, urging us to delve into profound insights. As Mercury begins to square the fixed signs; Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio, tensions may arise, challenging established ideas.

This week brings us a Mercury cazimi at 26° Libra late Thursday/early Friday
Firstly, what is a cazimi? Cazimis occur when a planet is in an exact conjunction with the Sun, no longer obscured under the blinding beams and instead shining with a spotlight.
For this cazimi, the spotlight is shining on Mercury in Jupiter's decan of Libra. It is a Mercury that is just, fair, balanced, jovial, safe. The cazimi is also at an exact square with Pluto. This Mercury wants to indicate things like messages, discoveries, critical thinking, teaching, and judgement, but since it is at odds with Pluto in Capricorn, there is a sense of overarching power and systemic dynamics at work as well.
Regarding world events, I think an important judgement or discovery is going to be announced on Friday. It will be something that will bring people together.
Regarding personal events, Cardinal rising signs and people in a Libra profection year will feel this relatively sweet cazimi the most. Sweet transits are not always very obvious because people tend to notice the challenges brought upon by difficult transits more than moments of ease.
Take advantage of the cazimi by using it late Thursday (MST) to communicate difficult messages to people so that the conversation turns out smoothly, or have philosophical, big-picture conversations with people just for fun.

This is a medium-sized doozy of a chart: the lunation is applying a trine to Jupiter, which is less than three hours away from its retrograde station. It’s also conjunct the Lady Asteroid Ceres. The trine makes us want to do things in a big way - we’re fiery and fierce, maybe a little overconfident and loud and bossy - but it also gives us generosity, nobility, and luck. Ceres gives us interests in/with our families (biological or found), children and children’s concerns, and food and nutrition. I have the image of a great big happy family reunion, that sort of celebratory vibe.

Et Cetera
Since December 13, 2021, we haven’t had any planets in the “interpersonal” signs - Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio - just the Moon, sweeping through once a month. And I can argue that in all this time we’ve all been feeling the weight of the world on our shoulders (via so many planets in “transpersonal” signs, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces) - which has been overwhelming, to say the least.
We also have been more focused on ourselves and our individual problems, as planets move through the “personal” signs (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer).
That’s all going to change during the five days which see Mercury, the Sun, and Ceres enter Leo (in that order). All of a sudden: “Wow! Other people exist! Oh brave new world that hath such people in it!”
This is great news - being balanced is (almost) always a good thing, and we’ve been missing the whole “interpersonal” piece for several months, except sporadically when the Moon is there. I think we’re going to be very excited and eager about it, too - at least to start with.

NEPTUNE-PLUTO UNDERWATER HELLSCAPE: TITANIC, THE TITAN SUB, JAMES CAMERON AND HOW THEY'RE ALL CONNECTED
If you're somehow not up to date, during this past week, all media was flooded with news coverage about the missing submarine (or, rather, a submersible... or rather, a big feeble can that didn't really quite get any certification to officially function) that was supposed to take a trip 3700 meters down the ocean to see the Titanic's wreck.
Well, four days later and it was stated the sub imploded.
Also, everything Titanic-related is back on everyone's lips. And so is James Cameron. It shouldn't be a surprise, yet it's still pretty eerie, all these things are connected astrologically-speaking.
But let's take it back to the beginning.
Titanic's sinking
Titanic sank during the night from April 14th to 15th 1912 just two days before a solar eclipse at 27° Aries that was square Neptune in Cancer. It was also almost Mercury cazimi during its retrograde phase. So not only we had a moment of big things that bring a darkening of some sorts or a purge (eclipse), it was also tightly paired with a retrograde Mercury, which usually warns of travel issues and a square from Neptune - which can mean things unseen and fogginess. Neptune was also in Cancer, which is obviously a water sign - and we're met with an iceberg that pops up out of nowhere in the fog, while we're charging Aries-style full speed ahead - all that despite receiving multiple warnings of sea ice ahead of the ship - warnings that somehow never reached the ship's bridge.
Tumblr media
The cherry on top is Moon in Pisces (again, in a water sign) squaring Pluto in Gemini at 27°. Now remember those degrees cause they are going to pop up again later on.
We can also point to an exiled Venus in Aries applying to a square with a fallen Mars in Cancer - and keep in mind that watery Mars was the dispositor of the eclipse. I also sometimes like to look at quincunxes cause they often bring an unpleasant and uncomfortable situations that sneak up on you out of nowhere. So let's also point out the Mars-Uranus quincunx that was happening at that time. A bizzare case of severing that is.
James Cameron and his fascination with the Titanic
Tumblr media
I'm sad to say James' chart is untimed so we can't really dissect it but let's just take a quick glance.
He is a Leo Sun conjunct Mercury and Pluto in sextile with Neptune, which talks about his love for grandiose and cinematography but also about how detailed in his work he is. That love for detail has more of an element of deep exploration - figuratively, through world-building but also literally through scientific expeditions. Pluto's influence makes him really put things under the microscope and treating it surgical precision.
But what I really like in his chart is his Moon-Jupiter mutual reception that actually forms a trine (unfortunately we don't know the exact orb). That is just a VERY good aspect to have and one that not only can bring popularity but one that makes the person dream BIG. Now, his Moon is somewhere in the 3rd decan of Pisces - remember it's the exact same Moon position as Titanic's catastrophy (deep connection with Titanic's story). His Jupiter, on the other hand, is just 3° away from where Neptune was in April of 1912 (learning about and exploring the underwater mystery of Titanic).
On top of that his curious Sagittarius Mars is opposite Titanic's Pluto at, surprise, surprise, 27°.
New Moon summoning Pluto's ghost
Tumblr media
(Time set for the supposed submergence at 8am, Titanic wreck's coordinates)
So let's get to that poor Titan.
Titan started its dive the Sunday morning of June 18th. If you track transits or, at least, the Moon cycle, you may recall a New Moon took place that exact Sunday morning. New Moon that squared Pisces Neptune at 27°. It also made a 3° quincunx to Pluto, which just barely moved back into Capricorn.
Now remember the degrees from Titanic's sinking? Pluto was at 27° of Gemini - the New Moon happened at 26° of Gemini. The Titanic's Moon was at roughly 25° Pisces - current degree of Neptune is 27 Pisces. Interestingly, Neptune would oscillate around that degree for a couple of years now - exactly since OceanGate started their expeditions - they tried to get to the heart (Moon) of Titanic's wreck but were doing it in an unsafe way, teetering somewhere on the edge of it being illegal (Neptune).
You'd think some of the malefics (or both!) should be present when it comes to tragedies like these, but instead we get Pluto and Neptune, which makes sense. Pluto is obviously death and destruction but is also the underworld, the depth (not just metaphorical) - mix it with the literal element of the Neptunian waters - the ocean - and the unknown, the mystery, the overlooked weak details and faults - and we get a bizzare accident in the deep seas.
Saturn in Pisces and death in the water
I also quickly glanced at the chart of one of the passengers, Hamish Harding, and coudn't help but notice he was just going through his Saturn return in watery Pisces. Not only that but that Saturn was natally squared by Gemini Mars with just around a 0°05’ orb.
Saturn is death, restrain, depression, rigid environment and again, Pisces is a water sign. Mars brings suddenness, violence, cutting, explosions (paired with the pressure of Saturn - an implosion, actually). It being in Gemini, it's travel and exploration. A very violent and gruesome aspect, he probably would hurt himself somehow sooner or later (IF he didn't already in the past).
(Of course, remember that just because you have a tense Mars-Saturn aspect doesn't mean you'll die a violent death or anything. But DO be careful. Nevertheless this is great empirical study).
He did seem to have a heart of an adventurer and an explorer, with Moon in the last decan of Sagittarius* as well as Venus and Mercury* late in Gemini (not exactly 27° but very close to that). Unfortunately the New Moon that happened on these points in his chart, paired with it happening on the Pluto degree from Titanic's sinking, has resulted in a tragedy.
*there's a tiny chance his Moon could as well be at 0° Capricorn and Mercury at 0° Cancer, just to be clear. But I do think they were probably at the Sag-Gemini axis. If his Moon was around the 27°, it'd be almost creepy

Sun in Scorpio ♏️🌊 Moon in Aquarius ♒️💨
We start the day with the Moon shifting into Aquarius early this morning but not before a conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn. This may have caused you to wake up with some intense emotional feelings. Deep seated issues could surface creating possessive or controlling behavior.
As the Moon pulls away from the Capricorn energies it shifts the mood to a more social or humanitarian feel where intellect and forward thinking dominate however, if you stay stuck on the emotional side of things, it could cause reclusiveness.
The Moon in Aquarius will go on to square Jupiter in Taurus. This might change up the way you have been feeling about things and cause you to rework your personal life to fit with your ambitions. Exercise caution to avoid doing things in excess tonight. This applies to both personal and material overindulgence.
The Sun and Mars conjunction or Cazimi in Scorpio is strong today. Another day to note as the beginning of a new two year cycle. Think of this as a recharge or renewal of energies for Mars that will personally affect the house that Scorpio rules in your birth chart. Goals, plans and aspirations in this area of life get a significant jolt of energy. It’s a great time to reset your plans to make room for this change. Mars is aggressive so burn the house down and start over if need be to create exactly what you desire.
How is this energy showing up for you? I’m curious to find out! 💚💫

Energy Update: May 2023
May is a "3" Universal Month [5 (May) + 7 (2023) = 12 = 1+2=3] in a "7" Universal Year. Three is a very active number, after going out on our own (1) and then finding somebody to settle down with (2), we can finally think about getting together and socializing. 3 months almost always require some give and take. Perhaps even some working together. It's worth being mindful that we enter the month mid Mercury retrograde and between eclipses. Energies will be high, but compromises may be hard to come by.
The Set Up
We begin the month of May with the Sun, retrograde Mercury, Uranus, and the North Node in Taurus; Venus in Gemini; Mars in Cancer; Jupiter and Chiron in Aries; Saturn and Neptune in Pisces; and Pluto in Aquarius. It's worth noting here that all of the planets except for Mars are still in the left two quadrants of the horoscope wheel and fairly closely spaced together from Aquarius through Cancer. This shows us that collectively we have work to do in these sections of the horoscope.
By month's end, the Sun will have moved on into Gemini, Venus will have transitted into Cancer, Mars into Leo, and Jupiter into Taurus. Mercury will have finished off their retrograde cycle in Taurus and Pluto will have retrograded in Aquarius. All eyes are on Mercury, Pluto, and the North Node who will be the big players in the events that will transpire.
The Nitty Gritty
As each month is "born" on the first, the astrology of the day can be used as somewhat of a portent of the incoming energies. In the way that a natal chart is read for the life ahead, this can be read for the month ahead. We can see that May is going to be eventful as two significant transits occur.
The first is that our Sun and retrograde Mercury meet up in conjunction with one another. This is often referred to as Mercury cazimi, a term that comes from Arabic and vaguely translates as something like "in the heart of the sun". This is one of the most common transits we experience as it happens from 6-8 times a year as Mercury makes its regular trips backward through the horoscope wheel during its retrograde periods. This is the only aspect that the Sun and Mercury can make with one another as the two bodies always appear within 28° of each other in our skies. It can also be seen as the nadir of the Mercury retrograde cycle.
Additionally, Pluto stations retrograde at 00° Aquarius. Pluto's ingress into Aquarius was one of the big moments of the year. We're going to all have to learn to deal with the modern implications of Pluto in the ever-expanding vastness of Aquarius in our tech world, just as we had to deal with the modern implications of Pluto in our finances while the planet of death and transformation was in Capricorn. We're not quite there yet. Not quite done with that old goat of a story. Not quite ready for that leap into whatever head trip Aquarius is on about now.
That is beyond us though. Those outer planets always are. Nonetheless, we will stew in this energy all month long. (Yes, the Sun is in Taurus - I'm going to be all in on the food metaphors.) Taurus has been having a tough go of things as both unpredictable Uranus and the North Node of forward-facing fate have been making their way through the normally unflappable sign of the bull. You might even notice some ruffled feathers or broken horns. Taurus may be slow to anger (so long as they don't have any Aries or a strongly aspected Mars in their chart), but once they have seen red, all bets are off. Prepare to be gored. Or, at least, maybe don't wear that red dress out to the place where you know you have enemies. That message is for someone. (maybe me)
The feeling of the beginning of the month is going to feel like a crescendo that will likely peak somewhere on either side of 5/9 when the Sun conjuncts Uranus at 18° Taurus. There is a feeling of the finality of endings in the air. I don't think that these endings or transitions will be a surprise to most people, but that doesn't mean that people aren't going to be in their feelings about it. Our eclipsed full moon on 5/5 is the last in this series to fall in Scorpio - that is a part of this finality that is hanging in the air. This was a split eclipse where the solar eclipse did not fall in the sign opposed to the lunar eclipse (in this case Aries and Scorpio). Instead, we began and end this cycle through Mars. Action can be taken to create the needed finality during this time. The eclipse will certainly be a high point in this energetic month. Though the full moon closes out eclipse season the energy may hang around for a little bit longer as the Sun meets up in conjunction with Uranus on 5/9 (Uranian energy feels very similar to that of eclipse season) and Venus in Cancer makes a sextile with the North Node and a trine with the South node on 5/10. This is a double emphasis on our South Node through both the Scorpio full moon and Venus' impact which shows up that release is needed during this time. Once we pass this point, the energy may slow down a bit and start to feel more traditional for Taurus season. As we enter the weekend of the 12-14th, we get a big push of reality as retrograde Mercury, Venus, and Saturn all line up with one another. Mercury in Taurus makes a sextile to both Venus in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces, who, in turn, are trine to one another. This feels like the consequences of our eclipse season coming home to roost. With Venus in Cancer, things are bound to get wet and weepy, so bring a towel or an umbrella. Mercury exits their retrograde cycle on Monday 5/15 which is yet another ending that we will have to contend with. Things do start to right themselves as Mercury stations direct, but it is worth remembering that we have a third phase of the retrograde cycle to go through (the post-retrograde shadow) where Mercury retraces their steps all the way back to 15° Taurus before we move on to new territory. If you've been avoiding your shit, it may come back around again for a third time for review. Things will get even more Taurusy as Jupiter enters the sign of the bull on 5/16. This is a great time to do magic towards growing your finances or manifesting something physical like a home as Jupiter expands and Taurus rules the physical accumulation of things. If you work with the Elder Futhark, the Fehu rune would be a very appropriate companion all month and especially around 5/16 when Jupiter enters Taurus. That said, Jupiter immediately squares off with retrograde Pluto in Aquarius. This aspect goes exact on 5/17 but will be felt immediately as Jupiter enters Taurus and will remain strong for most of the following week. Outer planet aspects like this have a more societal impact, so we may see some more of the fallout of Pluto in Capricorn (failure of banks, money systems, etc.) come to light during this time. Both Mars and the Sun will also make aspects with Pluto this week (Mars in Leo opposed on 5/20 and Sun in Gemini trine on 5/21) so death and transformation energy will likely be close to the surface all week long. The advice to Let Things End often falls on deaf ears, but it bears repeating in this regard. Beware the Sunk Cose Fallacy - just because you have spent time on a situation does not mean that you have to stick with it. Let the things that need to leave your life leave.
Newly direct Mercury meets up in Sextile with Saturn once more on 5/19 under the light of the Taurus new moon. There are a lot of possibilities for a new beginning here, but you are going to need to work for it. This isn't a cakewalk (sorry Taurus). Saturn demands that you put in the work to reap the results. Those that AREN'T willing to put in the work are going to be really in it as they don't see the result. Mars enters Leo on Saturday 5/20 which brings us straight to ego town. The Sun enters Gemini the next day - this weekend has drama written alllllllll over it.
If that's your thing, have at it.
If it's not, lay low.
The energy will persist into the final week of May as our Sun in Gemini sextiles Mars in Leo and Mars squares off with Jupiter in Taurus. The way forward during this transit is not to brag about it, as tempting as that may be. Don't get ahead of yourself here - only promise what you can actually deliver. Watch out for braggarts, those who are yelling the loudest right now almost certainly don't have anything to back it up. Venus in Cancer squares off with Chiron in Aries, too; emotions are close to the surface and somebody is bound to get their feelings hurt.
Somebody will get lucky (Jupiter conjunct North Node on Saturday 5/27) but it will be the person who has earned it, not the slacker who wants everybody to believe that they deserve it (Sun in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces). Use your best discernment to tell the difference during this time because all that glitters is most certainly NOT gold. Things may feel a bit unsettled as we wind out the month - we are approaching the end of Mercury's post-retrograde shadow and so we may find ourselves having to pay the piper in our own lives, whatever that means for you. If you did it, own it. If it's yours, care for it. If it's not, put down a boundary. Some shit isn't meant for you and that can be a good thing.
