Quick Reminder On Love Magic!
Hello! Since it is Valentine's day, I thought I would make a quick reminder of something that I see a lot of on here regarding Love, sex, and general magic practices.
Please remember that any spells that take away a person's free will are immoral and unethical!! I see a lot of places where people are suggesting or posting love potions, spells, or related material to force/make someone fall in love with you, or have sex with you and that is Never ok. Spells that promote self-love and confidence, or booster spells for yourself are alright, but it's never ok to try to make someone like you against their will
Spells that involve spraying things onto a person, hiding things, or violating someone's space or personal property without them knowing is not a good thing. (neither is taking anything from them or their body without permission) Please respect people's space and things! It can come off as creepy, weird, and violating to pour, touch, spray, or put things on or into another person's stuff and in some cases it can be illegal. if you need to do so, please ASK THE PERSON BEFOREHAND
3. As someone who is sensitive to perfumes, certain scents, or things you can inhale or smell, please be cautious if you are applying or using something on yourself, giving food or perfume to someone, or if you are doing something in a public space. Please be considerate of others and their allergies!! (applies to food allergies too) 4. Please do not bury anything that does harm to the area around it, including glitter, plastic, glass, trash, sharp things, SALT or chemicals, or anything an animal can get trapped in There are alternatives to burying, and alternative materials you can bury that will decompose rather than becoming litter or a hazard to others. Show some love to the earth and the people in that area too!! Please remember to stay ethical and wise when doing magic, be kind to those around you and remember everyone is not the same or sees the same way you might. Spread and show love, not more problems for others!

Your North Node is commonly known as your Life Purpose. Your North Node represents what you are not yet so good at, what you are here to develop and grow.
Therefore, the purpose of your life is literally to advance, develop and grow, in whichever ways you need to and you are not yet so good at.
That is the purpose of your life here on Earth at this time.

Liminality in Anthropology Applied to Magical Ritual
Let’s first look at Liminality from an anthropological perspective. Described as the quality of ambiguity or disorientation that occurs in the middle stage of a rite of passage, when participants no longer hold their pre-ritual status but have not yet begun the transition to the status they will hold when the rite is complete, by Victor Turner, the concept was first developed by folklorist Arnold van Gennep in the early 20th century and, condensed for our purposes here, applied to rites of passage in small-scale societies. Think tribal rites for a boy becoming a man.
Now, as we know in magic, liminal spaces are the places in between. We apply this to physical places, mental spaces, spiritual realms, dates, times, etc. So when it comes to liminality in magical rites and rituals, we’re weaving, and exploring these ideas together. So, as we look at van Gennep’s structure for a rite of passage, we see what parts intrinsically apply to magical ritual, and what we can learn from them.
Three-Fold Structure
pre-liminal rites - rites of separation; metaphorical “death”, initiate is forced to leave something behind by breaking with previous practices and routines (ego-death, anyone?)
liminal rites - transition rites; two characteristics: must follow a strictly prescribed sequence, where everybody knows what to do and how | everything must be done under the authority of a master of ceremonies. There is a destruction that allows for considerable changes to be made to the identity of the initiate. Middle stage “implies an actual passing through the threshold that marks the boundary between two phases…”
postliminal rites - rites of incorporation; initiate is re-incorporated into society with a new identity, as a “new” being.
…I don’t know about anyone else, but that just screams magical ritual to me.
Now, these Rites of Passage have been practiced by societies all over the world, for longer than archeologists probably know, sometimes even being led by shaman. These rites may have begun as magical ritual. What can we learn from them? In what new ways can we think of Liminality? Might being more aware of pre-liminal rites and postliminal rites bring us new oneness with our liminal spaces? Once you go down the rabbit hole, there’s a lot to unpack.

Hey! Hope youre well
Do you think that when we contact the Gods, are not the gods who answer but minor spirits in their service? In a sense that "gods are busy, let me talk with the employee". Do you believe that our relationship with the gods aren't direct and personal, but more distant and impersonal?
XD

✨️ Mid Year Reading Wrap-Up ✨️
I cannot believe it, I'm a reader 🤩 this year I truly discovered (maybe for the first time) how much I enjoy reading. The past several years I was so engrossed in nonfiction, psychology, parenting books, children's lit, academic reading, and classics that I ignored all other genres. However, finally, I started enjoying good, old fashioned stories again. Much to my surprise, I've been loving the fantasy genre! (Rom-com makes me cringe but it's easy/entertaining to read too!)
Here's the books I've read this year so far (that i can remember) 📚
Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul: a Celtic Guide to Listening to Our Souls & Saving the World by John Phillip Newell 🌿
The Witch's Feast: a Kitchen Grimoire by Melissa Madara 🔮
The Thorns Remain by JJA Hardwood 🧚‍♀️
Cackle by Rachel Harrison 🔮
Bringing up Bébé: One American Mother Discovers the Wisdom of French Parenting by Pamela Druckerman 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 🇫🇷
The Entire Twilight Saga (again) by Stephanie Meyer 😔💀🌧
Plant Parenting: Easy Ways to Make More Houseplants, Vegetables, and Flowers by Leslie F. Halleck 🪴
From Bad to Cursed by Lana Harper 🔮
The Bone Orchard by Sara A. Mueller 🦴🧠👻
Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman 🔮
The Power of Bad: How the Negativity Effect Rules Us & How We Can Rule It by John F Tierney and Roy F. Baumeister 📖🎓
Small Town, Big Magic by Hazel Beck 🔮
Beach Read by Emily Henry 📚⛱️
The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondō 🧹
Messy Minimalism : Realistic Strategies for the Rest of Us by Rachelle Crawford 🧹
Scottish Witchcraft : A Complete Guide to Authentic Folklore, Spells, and Magickal Tools by Barbara Meiklejohn-Free 🔮
📚📚📚📚📚📚
I think The Bone Orchard, Cackle, The Thorns Remain, & Beach Read take the cake on my favorite reads of the year so far. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I forgot I even read at ALL until making this list and opening a Goodreads account. I even had to check my list of library rentals to remember it all! Quick note: I'm obsessed with the Army library on base as well as the one by our house & the state digital library I access with the Libby app.
📚 Currently, I'm reading another parenting book, another fantasy, and my FIRST Silvia Moreno-Garcia!
🎃 I swear one day I'll make a list of all my fav Children's and storybooks we have in our house, especially the creepy Halloween/spooky ones!

Just wanted to share some stuff from my recent Wicca/witchcraft-ing journey. It’s been a pretty interesting process so far to say the least.
My altar (a lot of these items I already had tbh, lol, I just repurposed them):
Tumblr media
My first spell jar, a protection spell of my own design, which I made the night before taking my kitties to the vet, which I was extremely nervous about. (They both received a clean bill of health!)
Tumblr media
My very first Mabon spread I created for the Autumn Equinox the other day, including a pot roast, cheese & onion bread, and apple cake, plus a home protection spell jar I made.
Tumblr media
The red book to the left is my grimoire, which at this point is just a disorganized mish-mash of different spells, incantations, crystal & herb charts, etc. that I have come across. At first I felt self-conscious about its random nature, but then I remembered that, in every single movie I have ever seen about witches, they always have to flip through their spell books before they find what they are looking for 😂
And, of course, there’s my little familiars 🖤🖤

The 4th house is very important, it is part of the Moon, they complement each other, they are the person’s inner self, the interior, the root, their feminity as well so their creations. Life is a byproduct of creation.
Some could say it is who you truly are.
Be loving on your 4th houses yall 🥰
