help i'm struggling, im looking for a fic i read a (long) while ago that i was SURE was written by a lava or hurricane fam member, but i can neither remember the title nor the author

it was legend and ravio centric, leg and the chain arrived back at leg's house to find it had been broken into, and rav was seriously injured defending the property. prior, legend had been arguing with warriors (?) that he and ravio weren't that close, only to freak all the way out finding rav bleeding out

i think it was a two-parter, each part (the discovery and the aftermath) being separate fics

Thinking about kianbecky/rockstar reunion

They suffer as much from ex lovers as much as keeperschampion. They didn’t get out together and I imagine they both harbor some guilty resentment over that. Kian made it to Hollywood and Becky made it on her own. They could have done it together, but didn’t. And now they have to live with all the years they lost.

And when they do meet again, it’s all electric. Kians still a rockstar, brighter than everything else in town, and beckys still goth, and the absolute coolest thing Galloway ever had. But once they get past the initial spark there’s a gap. They interrupt each other constantly their rhythm out of tune. Kian laughs different and beckys got new tattoos kian doesn’t know the meaning of. Catching each other up, feels phoney, like an insult to their closeness. Their like a thunder strike and lightning from miles away. Where you see the flash long before you hear the thunder.

Becky never got her goodbye, and their last memory together is tainted by what happens after. Kian doesn’t get to be the hero that saves the town, and he doesn’t get perfect final words. The wind whistles kians song but Becky isn’t around to hear it. She hasn’t been around for ten years.

Ive said this before but swear the biggest skill to learn as an adult is how to resist high-pressure sales tactics. You do NOT have to answer questions with anything other than "Sorry I'm not interested." No matter how nice they are or no matter how many follow up questions they ask or even how agitated they get when you stand your ground. Just keep saying I'm not interested. I could think of no better way to share the news than this!

So when I was 17, my cat went missing and I'd given up hope of ever seeing him again.

Until on Monday, 27th of May, 2024, my friend sent me a FB post asking 'isn't that your mother?' about the person named on the microchip.

Here he is! 16 years old, and found safe, twelve whole years after he went missing!

Yesterday (Tuesday the 28th of May, 2024) I went to the rescue that had him, and I reclaimed my boy, renaming him Artie! (He'd originally been called 'Cat' because my mother and I couldn't decide on a name)

He's home safe with me now, currently inhabiting my bathroom and purring up a storm every time someone goes in there!

I'll be doing slow introductions between him and my current cat to give them the best possible chance of living in harmony!

im so done with seeing articles about kids and screen time that doesnt mention parent behaviors even once. “kids are always on their phones” so are the parents! which the kids look to for how they should behave! ipad babies didn’t chose to only play on their ipads, thats what their parents gave them!

an anecdotal example: when i was a kid, all my parents would do in their minimal free time was watch tv and then they would be surprised when in my sister and i’s minimal free time we would also only watch tv/play video games. they scolded us for not reading books, but they never read books. they scolded us for not going outside but they never went outside.

“kids are always on their damn phones” my mom is in her 60s and opens up candy crush anytime she’s sitting — it isnt just the kids
