Oh... oh dear...

Don't expect this one anytime soon, because this is frame 166 out of who know how many (probably, like, 500 or so). And that's with skipping ahead in the whole ass MONOLOGUE I wrote for this (with a grand total of THIRY FOUR LINES), five lines ahead to be exact, which I am writing two characters at a time to try and make it seem like in-game dialogue. Thankfully when I get to this line, I can just work backwards and delete the characters that I don't need at that time

OH, and this is only part 1 of 2 because they each have different aspect ratios. I COULD have had them be the same, but then I'd have to remake each sprite I used to scale them up or down depending on which one I would have decided on, and there is no way I'm doing that even though it would, technically, be easier

Yeah this one is definitely gonna be an on-off sorta thing while I work on the rest of the Clovers. I am sooooo dreading part 2 (which is where I got the idea for this) since it will have so many complicated things to make

Since your requests are open: could you do a fic about MK11 Fujin hearing the reader sing and he thinks it’s absolutely beautiful, so the reader does a mini concert with just him watching?

If you need certain songs to put into this, I got you:

A/N: Thank you for the songs and for my first fic request that doesn't involve my usual Mortal Kombat men! I hope I do Fujinn justice, as he seems like a chill dude. Oh! And for the song in this fic, I went with "The Voice" by Celtic Woman. I'd thought it would be fitting with its elemental lyrics. I'll also try to keep these requests as gender-neutral as possible unless specified otherwise.

The Voice

Being the god of the Wind came with many perks. Not only is Fujin granted with divine power, but also the ability to fly and ride on the winds to wherever he desires. Currently, the wind god has no specific location where he desires to reach. Fujin is currently content with riding the winds on a rare peaceful day in Earthrealm, with no sign of an upcoming attack from Outworld's inhabitants. That is until the demi-god caught wisps of a melody within his breeze. The melody carried soft notes with an almost haunting quality to it. Fujin eases his winds to a halt within a forest, waiting to hear more of the melody.

His patience is rewarded when he hears it dancing on the breeze again. Fujin judges by the volume of the music, its source isn't too far from him. With footsteps light as the wind he commands, the demi-god treks through the woods, the music becoming louder and clearer with each step he takes. Eventually, his search takes him to a clearing with some mostly smooth boulders in the center. On top of those boulders sat a young adult Earthrealmer plucking at the strings off a worn but loved fiddle. They occasionally would play some notes before following them by singing in possibly the most beautiful voice he's ever heard in all of his existence.

"I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain. I am the voice of your hunger and..."

The earthrealmer trails off before letting a huff of frustration which is when Fujin decided to make his presence known.

"Why did you stop?"

"Gah!"

You let out a shout in surprise, fumbling with your fiddle and bow as they almost fell from your arms. Fujin holds up his hands in a placating manner as he takes another step into the clearing with a soft expression on his face.

"Forgive me, I didn't mean to startle you,"

"Are you blind?"

You cut off the strange looking newcomer, taking in his bright pale eyes and long silver braid.

"Pardon?"

"Your eyes. They're really white as if you're blind. Are you?"

Fujin gives an amused grin.

"No and I am glad. Otherwise, I'd never get to see you sing err..."

"Y/N, the name's Y/N. Do you have one too stranger?"

You are quick to ask as you turn your head away from the tall and handsome newcomer, hoping he doesn't see your flustered expression.

"My name is Fujin."

The demi-godd decides to leave it at that, for now, not wanting to further surprise you and possibly drive you away by revealing his role as one of Earthrealm's divine protectors and god of the wind.

"So Fujin, you caught me at a bit of a bad time,"

"And why is that?"

Fujin gently asks. You look around at anything but the newcomer, while running your fingers along your bow.

"Well, I'm supposed to be composing a song. I have the notes but I don't quite have all the words."

"If it helps, your singing is very beautiful."

"Oh uhhh, thank you."

You blush as you start to absentmindedly pluck a few notes of your fiddle. Fujin is now just a few feet away from you, close but with respectable distance between you.

"I would like to listen to more of your work, if you'll allow it."

"Sure! Uh- I mean- I mean, sure. That would be wonderful. I could use a muse anyways."

You then stand up on your feet, realizing how you're only just slightly taller than Fujin with the platform beneath you. You dust yourself off, you then hop onto a higher boulder. After making a few adjustments with your fiddle's strings, you start to sing.

Fujin was fortunate enough to snatch snippets of your singing while he was riding the winds, but those pale in comparison to hearing you right in front of him. Your voice is strong and proud. It is ethereal and eerie. It is as if listening to the Elder gods sing themselves.

When you start to play your fiddle for the musical segment of your song, you jump down from your boulder to start skipping around the clearing. You almost appear to be floating on air, and actually do at one point, but you hardly notice as you're too engulfed by the music. Around you and Fujin, the wind starts to blow and picking up the fallen leaves, filling the clearing with a myriad of warm colors.

"I am the Voice of the past that will always be filled with my sorrows and blood in my fields!

I am the Voice of the future! Bring me your peace... Bring me your peace and my wounds... They will heal."

Throughout your mini concert, Fujin's gaze never wavered from your form as if trying to commit every move and gesture to memory. As you paint a rhapsody with your body but write a requiem with your song. At last, it comes to a stop and so the Demi-god does the only thing he could think to do and claps.

You give a beaming smile at Fujin before taking a pantomime bow.

"Thank you, thanks for being such a great audience and muse."

You then blow him a kiss.

Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero will be my favorite set of games forever and ever man. Mentally I'm still there and I will never leave those games gave me my passion for both robotics and deep-sea travel/creatures in real life its what made me as insane as I am today ^_^

The Reaper leviathans (and all the leviathans in the game for that matter. reefbacks are peak fuck the haters 🔥🔥) always have a little compartment in my brain and I will never shut up about their design and how effective they are when it comes to horror. The way they're introduced AFTER the player runs into the completely friendly reefbacks so their fear of "loud noise/big = bad" is subdued and broken down so their guard is lowered right before entering the dunes and feeling true primal fear for the first time apon seeing them is just executed SO perfectly I've never seen something come even close to comparing. I wouldn't say they're my favorite thing across BOTH games though because oh my goddd that spot is definitely reserved for AL-AN

Him and his whole planet will forever live in my head rent-free (both because I'm not a landlord LMAO and also. Insane about him disease) every little detail about him makes me so insane. The fact that his species is mainly robotic and mechanical so he doesn't understand a majority of Robin's feelings and experiences that she's been through, the way they built apon the original virus on 4546B by explaining the way it showed up and mutated to annihilate every species on that planet was BECAUSE of the very architects that meant to protect it. Them having to build the original quarantine system that crashed Riley's ship (The Aurora) because their bodies weren't entirely mechanical, and all of their biological components were made out of the most efficient and compatible parts of 40-ish species which means once they caught the original disease, every other species that they pulled from could now get it. That only makes them trapping the Emperor Leviathan so much sadder because they didn't realize she could communicate with them and actually give them what the whole planet so desperately needed because they talk through entirely closed off mental frequencies, so even their bio components couldn't let her talk to them. AL-AN being one of the few to try and go against the current and felt bad about what they were doing to the queen is just so in character for him, especially with how he acts to all "lower" lifeforms that Robin runs into. Him being cut off from his entire family and neural-link is just so fucking devastating and him finding that comfort and connection through Robin, going so far as to rescue her and take her off-planet with him once she builds his body will NEVERR leave me man godd what an ending

Speaking of his body, I've gotta say it's the single coolest alien design I've ever fuckin seen. Look at this shit

like oh my god??? what the fuck right??? everything about it makes me so insane. NOT TO MENTION this concept art (which IS his final design btw just not 3d rendered yet) is made by Pat Presley, who also ended up making concept art for all the other Archetects that we haven't met yet and will meet in Subnautica 3 (whenever the fuck that will begin development LMAO)

like look at how different they are from him. how much more mechanical and less colorful, more hivemind-esque and lifeless they seem. even just down to the pose he's standing in gives off so much more life than they do and it makes me INSANEEEEE his time with Robin absolutely changed him and his physical form reflects that. He is such a combination of all the other archetects while also being NOTHING like them at the same time. The fact that he is literally able to move and change the shape of his arms and be fluid the same way he is fluid and willing to change unlike all of those on his home planet is crazy to me.

Speaking of his home planet too, it's also sick as fuck and I just need to show this finale screenshot real quick because oh my GODDDD I'm losing it. You have no idea how hyped I was to watch this shit when the full game released

AND ONE MORE THING!!! speakkkinnggg of the full-game release, the game actually released in beta testing with a different opening than the final version!! and in the beta testing, you started out in the final area where the finale takes place in the final release version. Visiting that old station again at the very end of the game feels like such a nice nod to the beta-testers that feels perfectly planned out. It really makes the game come full circle, even if you don't have the context of the beta testing version to appreciate.

Subnautica is (either story or gameplay-wise) probably the objectively better game imo, but Below Zero holds such a special place in my heart for the AL-AN story line alone. Godd he makes me so insane I love him sm <3 <3 rant over thank you for the ask

I see, thank you for the answer! You are the expert, if only because you are pretty much the only person willing to talk about him in general tags, as opposite to a personal ramblings on one's own blog (as I assume is done by the most, including the yours truly)! I just wanted to clarify that I don't find him dishonest (generally speaking, at least), nor manipulative (grief-distorted attempts at well-meaningness, more often than not) and I definitely do not consider his mannerism to be fake (because it is genuine, as nothing ever slips at the rare occasions in which he appears distraught!).

What I meant is rather that theistic religiousness is a faith in The God, while Nyx is an a god. A personification of like, 21th of December 2012, or whatever else. Her cult isn't even a religious cult, it's a doomsday cult! They talk of her as of an event, not a deity.

Yes, I think I would describe him as... clever and opportunistic. He's charismatic, as Atlus calls him, and he uses that to get a response he wants from people, but he certainly believes what he's doing is right, earnestly so.

But, that isn't quite the right use of that term ( though, sorry if i'm just misunderstanding you ) but monotheism is the faith in a single god, polytheism is the religious belief in many gods, but both are theistic religions. So for example-- shintoism, Japan's major religion, is a polytheistic religion with a focus on nature and generalized spirituality, it has many gods that represent concepts. It most resembles the greek/roman religion of our real life Nyx. You can worship one god(concept) out of those gods and make a shrine specifically to them. In this instance, a shrine to the goddes of darkness. The Nyx Gathering, doomsday cult though it may be, would classify as a religion just as much as say, something like Scient/ology is a religion or doomsday religions throughout history. But they are all real religious beliefs. But a cult/religion-- both interchangeable terms mostly referring to the social acceptability of the belief-- doesn't even necessarily need a traditional deity to be a religion, which is why theistic religions have a separate classification. You can worship concepts, nature, a prophecy, a person, etc, without personifying those things into higher beings.

the amount of times i refresh your page just to check for an update is actually insane. it was the same for the last chapter, just that i didn't have immediately rave on about the chapter since i was pretty stressed due to exams last week

the last two chapters were soooo good. i was literally kicking my feet in the air when jungkook was in oc's apartment. also, there's this growing gentleness and warmth that's so ingrained in this fic, and that has been so prominent in the last few chapters. jungkook and y/n both are such warm people that carry all these burdens with themselves, and just desperately want to be seen and understood. i can't stress enough as to how much human they seem.

the part where jungkook gets all scared and y/n covers his ears, and comforts him is so so incredibly beautiful. there's this understanding they have that's just so incredibly pretty to read, and to watch it unfold during times like these is just🥲🤍

the last part where y/n finally admits her being comforted by jungkook😭😭 the way i gasped (mind you i do that a lot) and a hundred different emotions crashed down on me. istg this series is the going to be the death of me. but honestly, it's one of the best romance tales i've ever read. their chemistry, their characterization as well as just the setting and all the details of the fic are so beautifully and immaculately done, mimi🤍

it's not just them, but godd i love yoongi as well. he's so precious, and seeing him genuinely root for oc gets me soft everytime, and seeing him always take care that y/n eats, even while she was home due to her sprained ankle is just so heartwarming. his little gestures are just so sweet🥹

i'm in awe of this fic and oh my god, i can't explain the pang of sadness that hits me when i reach the end of the chapter everytime.

i'm so in love with this fic, and with oc and jungkook🥹🤍✨️

also, i've been listening to stay on repeat. it's literally the only song i listen to every single damn day😭 it just reminds me of the fic and i'm filled with all the yearning of it all whenever i listen to it.

But especially with the MCs - OC is quite subtle; she’s not affectionate or anything but she’s someone comfortable to be around. 17. Pigtails vs Rukia? Renji against Boots lady? Those fights I'm into, though I bet they'll be pretty onesided. Pigtails has yet to do anything Rukia levels if badass.

Why it is so hard to believe that there are many fans (most of them I'd say) who would trash Alex the same way for posting something that insults any religion? That many of them feel insulted with this Jesus fan art (even though it was only supposed to show how much they admire Alex - still, a stupid way to do that - when Taylor's post is a straight up, unnecessary insult)? Is insulting race or culture wrong, but with religion it's all fine? Sorry for mistakes, I'm not a native speaker.

Why is it hard to believe? I’ll tell you why.

Can you show me a post where someone reblogged that Alex as Jesus picture throwing the fit that people are throwing over Taylor’s post? Can you provide me with proof that people are and have been just as outraged? No, you can’t. And that’s my point. I don’t think many of you realize how easy it is to see through this bullsh*t gaslighting about how Taylor’s post was offensive to religion because she – an ATHEIST – posted a silly picture of her calling a cheap Virgin Mary painting a skank. Like, I’ll tell you what I told the last anon (Idk if you’re the same one) – actually think about that for two seconds. No one has provided me with a satisfactory explanation as to how that’s offensive to religion AS A WHOLE. Like…the stupidy genuinely takes my breath away.

But yall just loooove the exes, right? And it’s just all so fake and phony, like…are you guys kidding me? Stop acting like this is about religion. It’s hard to believe because it’s bullsh*t. You haven’t come for literally anyone else in the AM squad when they do problematic sh*t – she’s the only one. It’s ridiculous.

I actually came across a dossier someone made about her – showcasing all her ‘failings’ which I found amusing. What do you plan to do with it? Show it in some court and sentence her for being problematic? Send her to problematic jail? Or do you plan to show it to Alex himself? So what?
