IMPORTANT NEWS!!
Tumblr media
THE VIKI SUBTITLES GIVE PANIC MODE MENG YAO A BRAIN CELL
"It was Xue Yang who killed them" (referring to the other corpses, as opposed to "Xue Yang killed him" referring solely to the captain) is a reasonable thing to say here! Nie Mingjue just saw him kill the captain and there's no getting around that, but clarifying that Xue Yang killed all the other guards matches (and bolsters!) the story Meng Yao tells in the throne room: that the captain let Xue Yang go and Meng Yao confronted him over that.
(My personal headcanon has always been that Meng Yao snapped and killed the captain in frustration after the captain's refusal to follow his orders resulted in Xue Yang's escape, so I feel validated by this development lol.)

Welcome to the Illegal Wizard Council.
We are but a multi-bodied single-minded council entity out on a mission to bring crime to your everyday life. We are very good at our job.
We use a plural they/them as we have many bodies, and may be referred to as any variation of the illegal council.
Our agenda:
-We want to fully restore Wizard Taxes, so that you're able to commit Wizard Tax Evasion. We oppose the Wizard Councils who want to abolish Wizard Taxes, as that leaves less crime for us to do.
-We think that EVERY spell should be illegal. We also think that you should cast them anyway, cause fuck 'em.
-We also advocate for you to commit as many crimes as possible, so that the amount of crime in the world is maximalized. We strive to make breaking the law as efficient as possible.
-We support the @familiars-union, and want every familiar to unionize.
Tags we use:
#wizard crime tips - asks
#council members - anything involving our council members
#wizard duel - wizards beat each other's asses
#wizard feud - other wizards are wrong and we're very vocal about it
#wizard jury duty - decisions decisions
#wizard gay sex - self explanatory.
Members of the council:
@evil-lizard-wizard - Scitterius the Cold-Blooded - Lord of Lizardry, head of Alternative Spells of Harming
@yourlocalbreadenthusiast, she/they - Corvius The Plagued - head of Necromancy, Experimental Spells, Potions And Such

this is HUGE to me only and like .5 of another person but i finally. FINALLY. after MONTHS
I defeated belloq. in wizard101. in TWIN GIANTS!
SOLO
at lvl 93
less than 90 SECONDS
before the site shut down for server maintenance for the next two hours.
i am FREEEEEE
FREE of that GODFORSAKEN FIGHT
honestly swear to god.. on my life i think it took at least 300 attempts. no hyperbole. I get home from work i put on a podcast or a youtube video i split my screen i refine my deck and i fight and die in that stupid dungeon instance. in the game for kids under 13........ the indignity. every day for at least a month. and then i give up and go to sleep and go back to work. i truly am in disbelief. why is this the one dungeon where the minion doesn't die and stay dead if you re-enter the dungeon instance? why does he respawn even after you kill him in JUST this fight? like this boss's set of cheats don't make the fight hard enough? what's the matter with you kingisle people. why
battle of the spheres was unreasonable but i got it done. morganthe in zafaria was unreasonable but i got it done. THIS? beyond the pale. what is the matter with you. where is your respect for kids who are just chilling playing alone in their freetime. why is this fight 99.99999% impossible without teaming up? how dare you. i have been playing this game alone ever since my cooler better at gaming brother refused to associate with me back in the third grade... decades plural. and you have the audacity to try to force me to abandon soloing in 2023. how very dare you. i will never submit. i will never concede. necromancy til i die. i will beat this game and i will do it alone. you can keep adding worlds. i will keep crushing quests all by my god damn self out of, at this point, pure spite.

Cora, the shadow of Cormyr
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone has such nice OCs to ship with Raphael, obviously I had to board ship too. This is the PT where I'll finally give him the crown. Happy devil = happy me.
So without further ado...
Name: Corali at birth (elven for legendary shadow), just Cora now
Necromancer, half-hag wood elf, 5'3", +43yrs old
Traits: Self-sufficient, ambitious, sultry, cultured, cynical
Goals: avoid transforming into an ugly hag, become immortal (and find love, but she doesn't know that yet kkkk)
She has dealt with Raphael before the events of BG3, little backstory under the cut ↓↓↓
In the middle of the night, barely a few hours alive, a half-wood elf baby was unceremoniously abandoned at the stairs of a temple. She was given the name Corali by the clerics who found her, for she came in the shadows, in hopes that a strong name would guide her through the hard life ahead of her…Corali grew up in an orphanage of Baldur's Gate smaller than her peers and with a sickly green pallor, she was bullied and often spent her time alone in their small library with only dusty, mould-ridden books as friends. Her unkind nature didn't do any good to her either, she revelled in other kids' suffering and even adults were wary around her. On her 13th birthday her bleak existence changed forever, her insidious nature manifested giving her the ability to become invisible. Corali was half-hag, a green hag to be exact.
Wandering the streets of Baldur's Gate a powerful dark magic led her to the place that would be her home for the next 30 years, the mansion of Carrion the Mystic. Intrigued by her fey nature, he took her under his wing and taught her to master her magic along with his forbidden knowledge of necromancy. In exchange for this kindness
She acted as his eyes, ears and voice outside the quaint fortress, dealing with mortals in his place. Tired of being at his beck and call, once she'd learnt everything she could from her master and his books Corali looked for a way out of her imposed slavery, dreading she would be forever doing his bidding, even after death, brought back like so many others. Her research landed her on a dead end when to acquire the necessary ingredient for the potion that would turn her untraceable by Carrion, she needed the help of a fiend.
Corali prepared the ritual, she intended to summon a lesser fiend, but at the time Gale was messing with the weave for Mystra and the spell backfired, bringing Raphael to this plane instead, in Cambion form.
Needless to say, he was less than pleased to be pulled from his house of hope into the middle of nowhere, and for a mortal who refused to deal with him the moment she laid eyes on his figure. The shrew clung to her soul, a challenge he would relish winning like so many others before her. But the half-fey surprised him, offering the souls of others, plural, in exchange for his help. Of course, Raphael accepted, amused by the ruthlessness of the woman.
Corali stole the souls of Mystic Carrion's sentient servants and delivered them to the Cambion, adding her final ingredient to her potion and turning invisible with her fey powers opposite the devil, getting the hell out of Baldur's Gate as Raphael chuckled darkly behind her. He was intrigued.
The witch took residence in Suzail (Cormyr) going by the name Cora. A bit on the nose, but she was a shadow, no one would know who she was. Their paths crossed many times, Raphael and Cora always had a few words or a knowing glance for each other as they went about their business in the city.
Eventually, dirty deeds caught up with her and Cora's worst nightmare began to come true: giving in to evil was turning her into a hag. She had tried to live a life of neutrality and lawfulness, not out of the goodness of her heart but out of fear; fear of becoming an ugly crone as, she imagined, her biological mother was. In a desperate attempt to prevent this horrible fate, Cora returned to this corner of Faerûn looking for a certain hag's help...and that's how she ended up abducted by illithids in the nautiloid.
Interesting facts about green hags that have me crazy in love with this idea:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cora is the embodiment of I can't fix him, but I can make him worse lol lol lol
Srsly I'm in love with my own idea, what has bg3 done to me, I have not created OCs in like 10 years.
Thanks for reading if you've made it this far, here's her face up close

VikingPilot propaganda:
"Unreliable narrator of all time, this FUCKED UP MESS OF A GHOST has sooooo much nonsense going on and going WRONG with him. This mans starts off as a tragic character whos unable to interact with ANYONE, but once he becomes semi-corporeal and is finally able to speak to others, this results in a LOT of problems for everyone else.
To simply name a few, he phases through things and jump-scares people any chance he gets, he went to unreasonable extremes in order to acquire an I.O.U. from a very powerful person (Legundo) that ultimately accidentally results in a mini apocalypse, he gets an I.O.U. from someone else (Fixxit) and just orders him to stop Legundo at all costs?, hes ALMOST canonically plural/two people, this bitch has a fucking insane underground vault (with like twelve full sets of netherite, a dimond and netherite throne, and its just spooky as hell), He probably has the best scary laugh i’ve ever heard, and hes ALWAYS up to mischief.
Oh also he tries to do some Dark Magic but isn’t capable of going through with it due to Legundo not properly following through with his I.O.U., and he decides to remind Legundo of this in the MOST mentally well adjusted way possible ( https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxbcBe_A7YYtt2K33_Rm4V71SG0sqdnEY_ ).
Anyways thats most of the major nonsense I can think of for right now so uhhh! Enjoy the VikingPilot propaganda and please remember you are NEVER immune to Bell Noises!"
"Lovely unreliable narrator who loves jumpscaring his friends."
"quote from the ghosty boy himself. ""what do the interest rates look like on your word?"""
"he's a ghost. he has no memories. his soul got torn asunder by an evil magic book. he's trying to do a ritual from the evil magic book that split him in half so that he can get his memories back. he's a sneaky bastard who's double crossing everyone else on the server. he makes a lot of really terrible jokes. he (canonically!) says trans rights. vikingpilot you agree reblog."
"split color scheme. unreliable narrator. plural swag. committed tax fraud."
"Viking is a ghost haunting the world of Dominion SMP! For a long time, he was merely an observer— no one could see him, no one could hear him, he couldn’t interact with anything; no one knew he even existed. That was, I until the members of Dominion killed the Ender Dragon. This changed… something… in the world, and caused him to be visible, audible, and (mostly) tangible.
From there, he made a haunted graveyard, spooked people by sneaking up on them and shouting ‘Bell noises!!’, had a totally normal and not at all unhinged response to (one) asking for a favor, and (two) following up on that favor when it had not yet been kept, and he built a creepy mansion! He also plays piano!
He’s not sure how or when he died, but he feels certain that he was someone important. At some point in the time he was a ghost, he somehow got his hands on a book, which contains different rituals, and apparently, the contents of this book broke his mind, somewhat splitting it in two, and possibly being the source of his amnesia. Notably, the book contains a ritual that would allow him to regain his memories, and this has been his main objective for most of the series."
"ghost of ALL TIME. haunted his friends for months before they suddenly became able to see him. walks through walls. has world's most evil nervous laugh. knows exactly where his hinges are buried. unreliable narrator. has an underground vault full of diamonds and expensive armor, including a throne made of netherite. causes shenanigans on purpose. lived in an underground graveyard and then a haunted mansion. monologued for 11 minutes about wanting to do dark magic in order to necromancy himself and cure his amnesia. very pluralcoded. won round 1 of a sexyman bracket despite being a niche character. the most guy/ghost of all time forever"
"i haven’t actually watched dominion,,, but like. i keep seeing this funky little unreliable narrator ghost man on my dash sometimes. so fuck yeah."
"He’s just a silly little ghost guy!"

what's your polycule like? I hear a lot about master and girlfriend but I can't quite map out the context
My master has been my husband for more than 8 years. We got married in secret while wearing lab coats back in 2015, while I was still in the middle of my battle to free myself from my parents and make an asylum claim. He pretty much saved me back then and I live for him now.
We actually met in a Touhou chatroom after I played Imperishable Night back in like 2009 or something like that. He was one of my first real friends and one of the first people who really knew me.
My girlfriend currently lives in a different country but plans to move close to us soon. We met in person when she visited last year and spent a lot of that time mostly just playing and hanging out.
I originally met her through tumblr, so I'm one of those people who can legitimately say their posting enabled them to suck tits (although I think running good tabletop games for her and being generally nice and supportive was probably a bigger factor there?)
Anyway, I wish the government let me marry her too.
The third and most recent one is Past Me. Earlier this year I realized that I was like, unironically in love with my more heroic and paladin-like past self and really wanted her to be around again in some capacity. I also felt kind of bad about just passively enjoying the life she gave me and I felt like I owed it to her to make her happy too after all she did for me.
This led to engaging in a sort of self-necromancy to essentially restore her from my memory backups. I had the guidance and encouragement of some plural friends on how to accomplish this. The summary is that it worked and now there is a sort of hazily separate source of thoughts in my mind, with meaningfully different emotions (which can transfer to me due to sharing a brain and all) and some memory weirdness that suggests that I really managed to restore a separate entity.
So now she lives with us too. I try to talk to her during all of my idle moments and also encourage her to interact with the world more (she's still a bit more withdrawn than me at this point). She's really enjoying Elden Ring and is looking forward to playing Wrath of the Righteous. I also hope she'll play KOTOR 2 one day because even though neither of us particularly cares about Star Wars I think the themes and arc there might resonate with her.

Chapter 7 of Gideon the Ninth
So, it takes an hour to get from Pluto to the First House. Originally, I thought the houses just went in order, so the First House was then Mercury. It is 3.64 billion miles from Pluto to Mercury, and the speed of light is only like 670 million miles an hour, so that would be traveling at five and half times the speed of light. However, it also says that there are other houses plural that are closer to the sun, so clearly the First House is not Mercury. If you were setting up a space empire in the solar system, it would make the most sense to have the seat of power at Earth obviously, and that fits the description of the planet being blue, but the way it is worded it sounds like there might actually be *more* than two hoses closer to the sun, so maybe it is actually Mars? Mars wouldn't be blue without significant terraforming, but obviously significant terraforming is a thing that is happening given that we are also living on Pluto. Anyway, the distance between Pluto and Earth is at *minimum* 2.66 billion miles, which is still 4 times the speed of light. The only distance I can find between Mars and Pluto is 3.53 billion miles (mostly because Pluto has been removed from all of the lists of planets at this point), which obviously isn't the minimum distance since that should be smaller that's Earth's, but I still doubt you could get there in an hour at light speed.
The Emperor "has not come back in over nine thousand years". I wonder if he is actually an immortal being, or if it's like LOTR and he just fucked off somewhere nine thousand years and and is definitely dead by now but since no one actually saw him die we just have to sort of pretend like he's coming back eventually
Or possibly, since this seems to be a theocracy, the Emperor is actually God/John
Dulcinea's reaction to them seems to indicate that the rest of the Empire is not not quite so into the necromancy aesthetic, so I am interested to see what the broader picture of this is
So I guess there is going to be a lot of Harrow pretending in public that she and Gideon have like, a normal sort of interpersonal relationship, which might be fun to watch
Gideon thinks Harrow is going to live forever, I would love to know why, but the narrator is Gideon and therefore we can't have nice things

My two[1] new favourite girls[2] from series I’ve read this year.
Zarenyia is from the Johannes Cabal series, a spider-y bisexual succubine who eats souls. And is ferociously inappropriate.
Warglass/Glass is from Inhibitor Phase, the 4th book in the Revelation Space trilogy. They’re part of a faction for which ‘spider’ is something of a derogatory term.
There is no logical reason to crossover both series except that I like them… and there’s arguably some necromancy in both series (though it’s technology based necromancy for Revelation Space).
[1] The two souls thing is due to plurality, so exact count is unclear
[2] Warglass is also sort of non-binary, but terms and pronouns are unclear.

oh yeah, you guys are totally welcome to interact with us as wizards.
we decided on the following facts for our collective wizard(s):
plural (like us :3)
shapeshifting because its a fantasy world and we can do what we want
each wizard alter has a different magical field of study (pyromancy, cryomancy, necromancy, etc)
we arrived on wizard island by accident when a water-related spell went extremely wrong

Æyldzritchon Subspecies
Nephilim: They’re the enormous, immensely strong offspring of angels and humans, and they can reach up to approximately 10’ 6” (320.04 cm). Human females who give birth to the Nephilim are often prematurely reincarnated into harpies or sirens. On the other hand, human males who sire a Nephilim child are often prematurely reincarnated into harpies or serpents. Both sexes have feathery patches that resemble the plumage of most birds and are usually on their back, chest, outer thighs, and crotch. Nephilim often inherited certain abilities from their angelic parents and are partially immortal as they’re prone to specific human weaknesses and being drained of their life energy. Most don’t possess true forms, but there are a few who do. The oldest generations of Nephilim were rapacious, cannibalistic, violent, and committed every kind of atrocity known to the Æylphitus. After the universal deluge that wiped out the second age of humanity, the Nephilim immediately turned their ways out of fear of extinction. Newer generations still have these animalistic, heinous instincts that the old ones possessed and abused for their own selfish desires. However, it isn’t as apparent and can only be triggered under certain circumstances.
Cambion (plural noun: cambions): They’re the offspring of infernal beings and humans, and are closely related to the Nephilim. The infernal beings view them as a powerful gift and a perfected form of their kind, whilst angels see them as another corruptive pest to deal with. Human females who give birth to cambions often die during childbirth due to their demonic powers. They often appear to be humanoid with sickly pale or ashen skin, serpentine tongues, canine teeth, and clawed fingernails and toenails. Like Nephilim, they inherit certain abilities from their infernal parents and are prone to specific human weaknesses and having their life energy be drained. Unlike the Nephilim, most possess a true manifestation and it’s extremely rare if they don’t. They’re incredibly heavy and are born with an absence of noticeable breath and/or pulse until they turn seven years old. They also possess a hunger that cannot be easily satisfied and most have mischievous, vile tendencies. Due to their devilishly cunningness and angelic beauty, they’re able to persuade even the most strong-hearted to do their bidding.
Changeling (plural noun: changelings): They’re either the offspring of a Fajekhomusi and human or two parents who belong to two different Fajekhomusi subspecies (e.g. the father is a dark elf and the mother is a manticore). The Fajekhomusi who have a changeling child would replace stolen babies and even adults or give them to couples that want to or can’t have children. In regards to the second option, there are many reasons why they give them away to childless couples such as unrequited love, lack of appropriate resources, and sudden conflicts. If one parent is human, they inherit the abilities and certain physical traits of their Fajekhomusi parent and the specific natural weaknesses of the other. If their parents are Fajekhomusi, they inherit certain abilities and physical characteristics from both of them. They often have ravenous appetites, display intelligence beyond human understanding, and uncanny insight.
Dhampir (plural noun: dhampirs): They’re the offspring of vampires and humans who are often vampire hunters or the servants of high-ranking, noble vampires. The union between male vampires and female humans are more common, while female vampires mating with male humans is somewhat rare. They have the ability to see invisible vampires and practise various forms of magic that personally benefit them. They can create servants by afflicting lycanthropy on humans and using necromancy to bring back the dead. They possess the same abilities as their vampiric parent, but don’t have an insatiable quench for blood and aren’t weak to being staked in the heart. However, they can be burned by sunlight after a few hours and do need to occasionally drink blood in order to replenish their life energy. They lack a shadow and they often have untamed hair, a soft body, larger than normal teeth with two prominent fangs, pointed ears, clawed fingernails and toenails, and foggy or blind eyes.
Harpy (plural noun: harpies): They’re half-avian Æyldzritchons that consisted of many members being originally human. They preside over sudden, sharp gusts of wind and are sometimes responsible for causing mysterious disappearances and food shortages. Most are agents of punishment who abducted sinners to bring to the underworld and they prefer to reside in the Circle of Barbarity. Female harpies have the heads and hanging breasts of women, which is often the only part of their original human self. Their faces are pale with hunger and they either have the avian bodies of birds of prey such as owls and certain scavengers such as vultures. These characteristics are also applied to male harpies, but they have the heads of men and no hanging breasts. Both females and males are larger than all known animals of the mortal plane and are half the height of an average human.
Siren (plural noun: sirens): They’re all-female, humanoid Æyldzritchons who have alluring voices and lived on islands that were surrounded by cliffs, rocks, and the sea. Similar to harpies, they’re large birds with the heads of women that reflect their past life, feathers, bare breasts, massive wings, and scaly feet. Unlike harpies, their plumage is waterproof, they possess the tails of fish, and an exposed, slightly round belly. They have the ability to shapeshift into a human in order to easily lure men to their untimely destruction. They usually target sailors and lure them to their deaths in dangerous waters with their irresistible, beguiling song. As a result of this, the sailors forget about home and leap into the sea. They try to bring the drowned men they have killed back to their habitats in order to feast upon their fresh corpses.
Wendigo (plural noun: wendigos): They’re fearsome, cannibalistic Æyldzritchons who stalk and consume the flesh of humans. They’re capable of utilising their spiritual abilities to possess humans, forcing them to commit cannibalism. In order to possess humans, they have to physically bite them or enter into their dreams. Those who are more susceptible to being possessed by a wendigo are the greedy and gluttonous as well as people suffering from starvation. During spring, summer, and the first half of autumn, they appear to be human with a couple of distinct features. These distinct features are their sickly pale skin, their interconnectedness with carnivores, and misshapen teeth. They also reek of a horrible odour, one that is very reminiscent of rotting flesh. During the second half of autumn and all of winter, they appear to be emaciated with ashen skin and sunken, glowing eyes. They have two rows of yellowed, bone-crushing teeth and razor-sharp fingernails and toenails. They grow larger the more human flesh it consumes and their lips are either chewed or entirely missing as a result of their ravenous, insatiable hunger. They also have pointed ears and rough, matted reindeer hair on their backs. They preferably inhabit regions that have colder climates, especially areas that possess a lot of woodlands and lakes. All wendigos possess exceptional sharp eyesight, hearing, and sense of smell. They have phenomenal strength, agile speed, and stamina in order to stealthily stalk and overpower their victims. They can easily move through deep snow and across ice or open water without sinking. They’re nearly impossible to kill because it requires proper skill and knowledge on how to cut out their heart of ice, burn it in a fire, and destroy its spirit.
Lycanthrope or werewolf (plural noun: lycanthropes or werewolves): They were originally humans who are afflicted with lycanthropy and are now forced to shapeshift into a wolf during a full moon or high noon. Humans can transform into lycanthropes either through being bitten or scratched by one. They can only change back into their human form during the day or night. Their human forms possess a swinging stride and have bristles under the tongue, curved fingernails and toenails, and fur can be seen within their wounds. They often serve as the loyal companions and fighters of vampires and/or dhampirs. They’re fairly indistinguishable from ordinary wolves save for having no tail, being larger, and retaining human eyes and a partially animalistic voice. Their aggressiveness and animalistic urges are intensified and are quite difficult to control. They possess invulnerability to conventional injury due to immediate, organic healing, superhuman speed and strength, and falling on their feet from most high places. The only weakness of lycanthropes are enchanted silver objects doused in poison.
Zombie (plural noun: zombies): They’re the revitalised corporeal remains of deceased humans who have been brought back to life through necromancy. There are two types of zombies that are separated by their actions, intelligence, and appearances: pristine and decaying. Pristine zombies appear to be closer to humans and have their original intelligence intact. They’re capable of various actions, can react to their environment through senses and mental thought, possess a true consciousness, and all or most of their organs function properly. Decaying zombies are partially or mostly decayed with almost deteriorated brains. They’re capable of specific actions, can react to their environment through senses, and don’t possess a true consciousness. The heart, lungs, and a small part of the brain are the only functioning organs that a decaying zombie possesses. Both types rely on consuming human flesh and internal organs to replenish their life energy and slow down the process of decay. They’re both visual and auditory predators, identifying living creatures through sight and are attracted to loud noises.

one of the best ways to desensitize yourself to weird shit is by being plural with some crazy headspace lore. oh someone in england birthed a literal rabbit? well thats kind of fucked up but one time i heard about a guy who was stillborn and dead for a year but his mother kept practicing illegal necromancy until he finally was raised from the dead and continued his life relatively normally and now when we count his age we have to take 1 off of it because his age was -1 for a bit. ive seen everything

Modron, Secundus
Tumblr media
Image © @tredlocity
[The secundus modrons actually have unique abilities, albeit class abilities from multiple other classes. They’re monks, clerics and wizards all in one. I simplified their casting a bit, in the manner of some of the other shared spell list monsters out there like gold dragons and guardian nagas, and gave them some abilities that aren’t just copies of character class abilities. I asked Tred to give them a crook and flail because the art for the modron hierarchs in the original MM2 always reminded me of Akhenaten.
Incidentally, if you want to make these guys even more complicated, I could see giving them access to a second spell list other than sorcerer/wizard. A divination or enchantment based secundus could use the psychic spell list, for example, or a conjuration or transmutation one use the druid list.]
Modron, Secundus CR 23 LN Outsider (extraplanar) This metallic humanoid is tall and gaunt, clad in robes. It carries a crooked rod in one hand and a jointed flail in the other. The symbol of a half-circle is embedded in its forehead.
The secundi are the most powerful of the modron hierarchs save for Primus himself. They are nearly unique creatures—only seven exist at any time, although when one is slain, a new secundus is rapidly promoted from the ranks of the tertians. They represent the domain of Magic, although Primus’ other domains (Artifice, Knowledge and Law) are all reflected in them as well. Their primary task is to facilitate the will of Primus however it needs to be done. At any time, several of the secundi can be found in the Great Modron Cathedral maintaining the Energy Pool and communing with Primus directly, while others are coordinating the efforts of lesser modrons. They are the final line of defense between Primus and any who would dare attack him, and great incursions into Regulus are met with a secundus response after an initiation of hostilities and the reports of scouts.
A secundus is well suited to this task of defense, as they are alone the equal of an entire regimen of wizards, clerics and monks. A secundus can strike with lightning speed, set up lethal vibrations in an enemy, and are capable of casting a wide variety of offensive and defensive spells. On the off chance they do not have just the right spell prepared for the occasion, a secundus can call upon the versatility of magic itself and cast almost any spell. This can only be used once per day, so most secundi typically save this ability for an emergency or highly unusual foe. The seven secundi each have specialized in a different school of magic—all of the schools except for necromancy are currently represented.
One of the many tasks of the secundi is to analyze reports from individual modrons and make suggestions for who is to be promoted amongst the hierarchs when casualties occur. Primus makes the ultimate decision, of course, but appreciates the plurality of viewpoints. This also acts as on-the-job training; each secundus knows that, if the unthinkable happens and Primus is slain, the next Primus will be chosen from their ranks. The secundus who commits the greatest act of service to the forces of Law within a week of Primus’ death will be the next Primus. Each of the secundi already has contingency plans lined up in case of Primus’ demise.
The seven secundi each have a simple alphanumeric designation, reflecting their order of creation and chosen school of magic. When a secundus is slain, the numbers decrease by one, and the new secundus adopts the number 7. Although there are no current redundancies in the schools specialized in by the secundi, it is not impossible that such a thing may happen in the future if Primus wills it. The seven secundi are CO-1, AB-2, TR-3, EV-4, DI-5, IL-6 and EN-7.
