Now, a random list of my unasked for Charlie and the Chocolate factory hcs (based on the 2005 movie)

1. Veruca can speak English, French and Russian

2. Mike has spent more time playing CitySkylines than any other game

3. Violet can’t even taste gum anymore, she’s grown numb to the flavor (that’s why she was so excited she could taste Wonka’s gum)

4. Both Violet and Mike have chronic pain after the factory

5. The first time they saw each other in person again they just sat in understanding silence

6. Augustus has scarily good senses (he can hear and smell everything)

7. Veruca was too scared to be near her pets after the factory despite how much she genuinely loved them

8. Violet fought her mom tooth and nail to stay blue

9. Charlie hates being hot because he’s so used to being cold

10. Mike’s really good at double dutch

11. Augustus develops claustrophobia after the factory but has an obsession with swimming/learning to swim

12. Since it was so loud and overwhelming in the TV Mike grew to hate loud noises, he also hates the buzzing of electronics. He plays music almost all the time to drown out any white noise and doesn’t play fps games with the volume on

13. Charlie and Veruca actually get along well once they meet again

14. Charlie’s always wanted a pet bird

15. Augustus’ mom swings into extreme diet culture after the factory and he doesn’t grow a healthy relationship with his body until he lives on his own

16. Violet’s parents are divorced and she goes to live with her dad after the factory since her mom only made the trauma worse

17. Violet and Mike were the only kids who tried (and also failed) to take legal action against Wonka

18. Charlie is under extreme pressure as he grows up in the factory and once the company is his he tries to fix its issues. Once Wonka passes away he can’t live like that anymore and he sells the company, moving out

19. At first the other kids hated and distrusted Charlie but once they realize he’s the only one trying to help them they don’t blame him for the tour

20. Veruca’s dad was the only adult to make positive change as a parent but Veruca was too far gone by then and only started to grow by her own efforts later in life
