Ngunit, ipinapakita ng pelikula na hindi pa huli ang lahat para sa mga tao na may adiksyon. Durante esta serie tomaremos prestados y ampliaremos una sucesión de cálculos completados por el académico de Cambridge, David JC MacKay, en su libro "Sustainable Energy Without the Hot Air", y exploraremos los cálculos de MacKay con mucho más aspecto. Comencemos : nuestro sol es bastante normal , pero con 1,3 millones de veces el tamaño de la Tierra, es con mucho el cuerpo más grande del sistema solar. "Buck Moon" (Bucky x Reader - Teenage Neighbours AU)

Buck Moon is tomorrow (Saturday, July 24th)! It will be a full moon (and orange!). Why Buck Moon? It's named in the almanac "buck moon" by Native American Algonquin tribes (since this is around the time male deer antlers are full-grown). You can read more about it here at NASA where they will do a better job explaining. I'm just here to write y'all a fic about it.

Tonight, just like every other night, you crack open your window and pop the screen off, setting it aside. Feet first, you step out on the shingles and drag your blanket behind you to set up your little spot on the roof and close the window behind you. There was something serene about watching the night sky, when the town was asleep and the moon was shining brightly above you.

You had so many memories that involved the stars in the sky - your first camping trip with your dad, singing Wish Upon a Star with your mother whilst watching Pinocchio, the glow in the dark stickers that you had in your childhood bedroom (some of which are still on the ceiling). Each night you sat on the roof brought all these memories back for you, comforting you before you sleep. In fact, you're so concentrated on the sky above, that you never catch the curious stares of your neighbour, who often sits on his backyard porch, who often also looks up with admiration - just not at the stars.

Today was particularly rough - something just wasn't aligned for you. You had missed your bus and ended up being late to your first class, forgot your lunch, and then totally bombed your volleyball game, the first loss of the year. It was days like this that you wished you had your parents here, even though you loved living with your grandma. Sometimes, the world just felt unfair and since you never wanted to come off as ungrateful, you held it all in until it was just you and the open night sky. You slip out onto the roof, tugging your blanket behind you and settle into your spot. The tears had been threatening to spill all day, so it finally felt good to let them out, trying to stifle them so as to not wake anyone up.

You nearly screamed when a head popped up on the side of your roof before you realized it was just Bucky, your neighbour that you'd had a crush on since forever.

"Bucky?" You ask, wiping your tears away so he didn't see. "What are you doing?"

"Well, I'm trying to get onto this roof," Bucky answers simply before his head disappears and you see just the tips of his fingers on the ledge, shuffling over. He eventually gets his forearm braced, then a foot, then a leg. You were stunned into stillness as he finally rolls onto your roof and exaggeratedly lays on his back with a small "phwew".

"Um?"

He turns his head to look at you and then picks himself up with a smile, crawling the last few feet to sit beside you.

"What happened?" He asks.

"Nothing," you reply automatically.

"You don't just cry over nothing, c'mon [y/n], you can tell me."

You've been neighbours since you were both kids, played together, went to the same schools. You'd grown apart in high school, which you didn't feel bitter about or anything, it was natural. He was the school's basketball star, you had your volleyball, and he joined the student council while you signed up for the yearbook committee. Your schedules never matched anymore, and his friends from the basketball team would pick him up for school while you took the bus. But it didn't mean you weren't sad. Ever since you could remember, he had been the Sun, bright eyes and shining smile, and you had merely orbited around him.

"Just had a bad day," you finally settle on. Maybe you hadn't done a good enough job of keeping quiet, or you weren't hiding your emotions well enough. Bucky was quiet for a moment, but he wrapped an arm around you and pulled you in for a hug. You flushed at the sudden contact, how warm his body was pressed against your side, and how much a simple act like this would send you into tears again.

"M'sorry, doll," he murmurs into your hair as you cry silently into his shirt - for all the bad days you've had, all the times you bit back your sadness to plaster a fake smile on your face, everything came pouring out. Bucky rubbed circles into your shoulder and kept encouraging you to cry, let it all out, which of course made you cry more. It felt like hours had gone by before you found your voice again.

"Thanks," you rasp, throat dry. "Sorry."

"Don't be sorry," he tells you. "C'mon, tell me what I can do to make you feel better?" You just chuckle, because the Bucky now was the same Bucky when you were 5 years old - always wanting to help, always smiling and wanting to put a smile on others.

"I think I'm alright now," you sniffle. It did feel cathartic to have finally let it out, your limbs loose without the usual tension, even if your head felt a little stuffy. "I guess I just needed a good cry."

He didn't move his arm, and you didn't move away. You just wanted to feel safe and warm, for a bit longer.

"I miss you, [y/n]," he finally says. "I don't know when we drifted apart, but I hate it."

"I miss you too," you admit. "We just... do different things now. Have different friends."

"You're still my best friend, you know that right?" He looks down at you and - well, no, you didn't. He was one of the golden boys at school, he had plenty of friends these days.

"Really?"

"Yeah, really," he grumbles, annoyed that you don't believe him. He even flicks your arm lightly. You don't know if Bucky is just saying it to make you feel better, but it does help nonetheless.

"You're still mine too."

The silence isn't uncomfortable, you're both watching the twinkling stars above, and you even offer him some of the blanket to wrap around his shoulders. It feels nice. Then, he starts to sing, low and soft.

A bubble of joyous laughter emerges, remembering how many times Bucky watched this movie with you when you were younger, and the both of you yelling the words at the top of your lungs, completely off-key.

"Thanks, Buck." Seeing you smile again made Bucky's heart flutter - this is how you were meant to look to him, cheerful and happy.

"Have you ever wished upon a star?" His head tilts to look at you curiously.

You nod, a little embarrassed. It was probably cute when you were seven, but you were seventeen now. I wished that I we could go back to how things were - when I was happy, when mom and dad were still here, when you and I were closer, I wished we could be more.

"I know you can't tell me what you wished for," Bucky interrupts your thoughts. "But whatever you wished for, I hope it comes true for you." You have to bit your tongue from saying anything that would give you away. Instead, you tell him about the full moon tomorrow.

"They named a moon after me," Bucky waggles his eyebrows, which makes you roll your eyes fondly.

"You keep believing that."

"Nah, I'm jus' teasing. I know it's because the bucks got their antlers full grown before they lose 'em again." You were surprised he knew that, and told him so.

"You watch the stars every night," Bucky states matter-of-factly. "Had to come with something to impress you." Your cheeks warm, but you know it didn't mean anything. Bucky was a notorious smooth-talker, he probably doesn't even register half of what he's saying and the effect it has on you.

"It's just so..." You don't really have the words to describe the feeling, but you try. "There's a whole galaxy out there, billions of stars that shine. Like the night sky's freckles. It's the most beautiful thing in the world."

"Not quite," Bucky mumbles, and when you turn to ask him what he means, your breath catches when you see him staring at you, the look on his face of open adoration. His eyes are shining brilliantly in the moonlight, the grey-blue that you've memorized looking right at you, like you were the stars. It's the same look you've had for him for years.

"Buck?" You tremble under the weight of his moment. And like a comet blazing its way toward you, he leans in closer and closer while your heart starts to race.

He kisses you slowly, lips slotting in just right against yours and your body lights up like the sky above. It's sweet, and he pulls back to see the dusting of pink across your cheeks, your eyes full of love and wonder. For him. You rest your foreheads together, a pair of matching shy smiles on your faces.

"Don't yell at me, but I'm going to tell you what I wish upon stars for," he whispers. "I've always wished for you. I wished for you to love me back, but that was selfish so then I wished for you to be happy. And every time you got sad or upset, I'd wish for the stars to grant you whatever you wished for."

His admission hits you like an asteroid, and you tear up again, damn him!

"Bucky," your voice as shaky as your hands when you reach to cup his face in your palms. "I've loved you since we were kids."

"So have I." This time, when he kisses you, he wraps his arms around you and brings you into his lap, holding you close. It's everything you ever dreamed of, and you don't know why the two of you waited so long - how you two could be so blind. You feel his tongue against your lips, shy and asking for permission. You've never been good at saying no to Bucky, and you certainly weren't about to start now. He feels perfect underneath you, his arms holding you steady, grounding you.

"I love you, [y/n]."

biography .

ratana saelim has humble beginnings in bangkok . her parents owned a small restaurant in their neighborhood , and they lived comfortably , but ratana still had to work hard to ensure that she got into college and could stay in college . she often did her homework behind the counter of the restaurant , and eventually went on to attend bangkok university .

she met her future husband at bangkok university , a fellow student named kamnan rasananda . he was studying business while she was studying law . in contrast to ratana , kamnan grew up in an extremely affluent home and was set to inherit his family’s company . he was a year older than ratana , and the two got married after her graduation with her master’s degree . they settled in bangkok following their wedding .

the years passed , and the couple established themselves in their respective fields . kamnan started his own business in real estate and construction , so they decided to expand out of asia and into the states . they made their home new york city , and settled easily into a multi - million dollar penthouse on the upper east side . since they were to focused on their careers , it wasn’t until they reached their mid - thirties when they had their first and only child , a daughter they named guiliana .

guiliana was a beautiful little baby who has an infectious personality while growing up . ratana and kamnan may have been busy people , but they never had an issue with putting work on pause to spend time with their daughter . the couple supported their daughter in everything that she did , and that even included when she turned fourteen and decided that she wanted to start doing youtube videos .

now , she isn’t that active on youtube anymore since she’s grown into more of a socialite , but she’ll still do weekly vlogs , catching up videos , and her fashion videos . despite not being that active , her channel is still growing and has now amassed five million subscribers .

guiliana has been a part of youtube since she was a fourteen year old , so she’s been able to start ignoring the haters ! quite honestly has the most idgaf attitude towards people who have anything to say about her only showing luxury outfits and such on her channel . that’s all she knows since she grew up in that , but quite frankly she doesn’t care !

out of all of her labels , i’d say she mostly resonates with the trust fund baby . outside of her youtube channel , guiliana doesn’t do much other than spend money and sleep until eleven so don’t expect her to be out there making businesswoman moves .

a born and bred new yorker , guiliana doesn’t possess a driver’s license . she gets driven around in a bentley bentayga and when her driver’s not available , she exclusively uses uber black to get around the city .

her style is pretty similar to lisa’s where one day she’s exclusively wearing streetwear , another day she’s a bit more feminine , and then sometimes she’s wearing pieces straight off the runway ! when it comes to her more feminine style i think of the youtuber kerina wang .

she’s most comfortable when she’s in her apartment . usually , she’s only wearing a lingerie set ( not the entire thing ) and lounging around . she’ll throw on a robe or something to answer the door , so just call her ahead of time .

i can’t make up my mind on how guiliana usually has her hair ( since lisa switches between long and short ) so we’ll just say that she gets extensions a lot ! currently , i love her long brown hair so click for reference here .

she has no real plans for the future ? she’s kinda of taking it day by day and enjoying her twenties while she has them . right now her main focus is her instagram and her youtube , and she has no real aspirations to do anything outside of that at the moment .

god,,, my yearbook is asking for how i imagine myself in 20 years and wtf am i supposed to say. i go to an aggressively catholic school and even if i didnt i dont want my parents to find out what i actually want my future to be. like i cant put down that i want to have a qpp/fwb with a girl and be able to present the way i want and be totally out as queer and yeah i can say i want to work at nasa and have like twelve cats but i cant share like anything else, while the rest of my classmates can go on about the het marriages they want to have without fear. just.....idk i wish i could put down what i really want. im sure me wearing a blazer and button-up shirt in my yearbook picture is already gonna get me suspicious looks i sure as hell cant do anything else gay

Maine astronaut Jessica Meir steps into history as part of all-female spacewalk

Meir and fellow astronaut Christina Koch became the first team of female astronauts to work in space outside the orbiting research station. Meir, who grew up in Caribou, has dreamed about going to space since she was 5 and wrote in her senior yearbook that her future plans included going on a spacewalk.

The spacewalk officially began at 6:38 a.m., 12 minutes ahead of schedule. By 11:30 a.m., the pair had replaced the battery charge-discharge unit and had begun testing the replacement part.

NASA had estimated the replacement project would take 5½ hours, but Koch and Meir finished installing the 230-pound unit in just over five hours, and mission officials extended the walk to allow the astronauts to do “get-ahead” work on the space station. Koch and Meir returned to the space station after seven hours, 17 minutes.

Meir is the 15th woman and 228th person to walk in space. It was the third spacewalk for Koch, who had already logged 20 hours and 31 minutes on spacewalks. NASA says spacewalks are among the most physically demanding tasks that astronauts undertake while in space.

I don't know, that's just me, I worry about everything. I got really bad anxiety. Horrible anxiety. Riddled with anxiety. I live in the city, I don't have a car, i just walk around everywhere. Uhh. You guys ever do this one, you guys ever leave the house without headphones? Wooh! Thoughts are not good! My God, this whole time I thought I loved music, turns out I just hate my brain. Just being attacked all day long by this insecurity playlist on shuffle. Ah "what are you doing with your life, you drink too much, you're gonna die alone, you call that a penis?" Aah! Oh, bad head. My brain is evil, it attacks me, it's like a bully. I'll be at a party, hanging out everybody's having a good time, talking. My brains like, "hey you weirdo, you're being too quiet. Everybody's wondering why you're such a quiet weirdo. Come on, get in there, say something you lunatic, come on you freak, jump in you psycho, come on get in there. You finally say something, your brain'll go, "ooh, that's what you picked?" Argh, shut up dummy, dammit. My brain never stops. I cant sleep at night, I'm a horrible sleeper. that's why I hate these bed commercials you see at 4am. "Hey! can't sleep? Well how comfortable is your mattress? What's your sleep number, how's your firmness?" You think 'lack of comfort's' what's keeping me up at night, that's the problem really? It's this goddamn Japanese game-show i got going on up here right. The worry, the anxiety, the dread. I don't need a mattress designed by NASA, i need a Xanax and some self esteem. Come on, comfort? i could sleep on a gravel road if i had a good childhood. Brain never stops. That's why i never got these guys that go, "hey i'm going to bed". What do you mean 'going to bed'? i gotta pass out, i cant just go to bed alright? What are you cray- you want me to lay alone in my room, in the dark, in my underwear that's what screwed me up in the first place! Brutal. i don't think i'm depressed though. I wouldn't say i'm depressed, although the symptoms of depression; binge drinking, hard to get out of bed, avoiding people, those are the things that make me the most happy. They always show these commercials, some guy's depressed, pops a pill, now hes skydiving, riding a convertible. Then they show the depressed guy, he's in bed with a bunch of pizza boxes, I'm like, that's living! Yeah, i'm an awkward guy, very awkward, can't make eye contact with people. See, that was tough. I'm working on it, its too intense, too intimate. I don't know how you people do this, you know? it's like a sign of respect to look someone in the eye, blows my mind! It's too much, can't do it. Every time i look someone in the eye i'm like well, guess we're in love now. I feel too much, i'm a feely guy, everything makes me uncomfortable. Certain words are hard to say, make me feel too weird, 'I love you' ah that's tough. huh. i can't say it, i can barely say 'croissant'. What a horrible word, so pretentious. Good lord, i can barely order one, they look amazing! i'm like, "i'll take uuuh, muffin, screw it. Socially awkward, i know i'm socially awkward cos i asked my friend what his biggest fear was and he said losing his child. He said, "what's your biggest fear Mark i said, huh, "accidentally hitting the facetime button on my phone." Is there a more terrifying moment in life than that? I cant have people see me when i'm not ready. I've got weird stuff going off in my room. I'm eating tuna out of a can. I've got half a boner, an old yearbook open, its weird. yeah oh man too much oh yeah. I'm an introvert, any introverts here? Crowd "Woo". Ayy alright, you guys rarely speak up. Yeah, not fun being an introvert. You know, you just gotta get out there and fake it. It's hard around people most people like being around people. For us it's like work, it's tough. Like this is an introvert's biggest fear right here. You're hanging out with some guy you don't really know. "Alright, good hanging out, i'm gonna take the train home." This guy goes, "oh yeah? what train you taking" "Uuh, i was gonna take the number six." "Hey, me too" FUCK! Dammit, back on the clock. Tough to be around people. Day jobs, i don't know how you guys do it. 9 to 5. 8 hours with this group then five out clock rolls round and some guy goes, "hey we should all get drinks!" What, are you nuts? You wanna hang around more we're done, we did it. We're outside the walls, let's go home. That's not happy hour, that's unpaid overtime. Yeah, we like being alone, we do. You ever go out to eat with a guy, he's like, "hey look at that dude sitting by himself." You're like, "i know, living the dream!" Just a weird brain i got, like i want you guys to like me but i'm scared of you. You bum me out, but i need your love. Basically what i'm saying. If you have a party, i don't want to go, but if you don't invite me, i'll kill myself. This is where i'm at up here. Yeah and if you don't get these jokes, just know your life is better than mine. I know what you guys are thinking, come on Mark, introvert? You're talking in front of 400 people right now, well it's pretty simple. This is a one sided conversation that's been prewritten and rehearsed over and over and if you guys talk you get thrown out, i cant lose. You guys are the real heroes, you guys are the ones just walking into your office break room just beep bopping and scatting of the cuff no net you know. You walk in and you're like, "Hey Bob, how was your weekend", and i'm like, "that was good, how did you know to say that?" Holy hell! What'd you take, an improv class? You're like Miles Davis over here. Holy moly. Wow! Not me, i gotta prep for everything. Everything's prepped. I see the break room twenty feet away i'm like, "How you doing Bob, how you doing Bob, how you doing Bob,how you doing Bob,how you doing Bob,how you doing Bob?" Then i get in there and panic. I'm like, Jews! Oh fuck. Oh dammit. Oh man. I've always been like this and thank God for humour. Jesus Christ, you can get away with it. I remember one time, i was at a friend's house for dinner, and the dad goes, "let's all go round the table and say what we are thankful for" One son was like, "i'm thankful for the food on the table". One son was like, "I'm thankful for the roof over out heads". "What are you thankful for Mark? I was like, "Honestly, i'm thankful i'm not attracted to kids! Wouldn't that suck? It'd be a horrible life, you know? And everybody there was like, "woaah! What the hell was that? Holy Jesus, good Lord. And i didn't get it. I was like wait, why are you mad? I said i'm NOT attracted, NOT attracted! Not into 'em, what's the problem? And i got pissed, i was like, "screw you guys! I'm clearly the only one here not a pedophile!"
